((OOC: Hey, so... I'm pretty sure that cooldowns only start once the effect ends. So if you have an effect that last two posts, and then have a cooldown of two posts, it would be 0/2 effect, 1/2 effect, 2/2 effect, and then you'd start the cooldown.))
As Lothar made his plea towards the bartender, he suddenly saw a movement in the shadows. The bartender's silhouette was visible, still carrying an unconscious Arissa in his arms. "Things aren't that simple, but she's perfectly fine. I needed to get her out of there quick, so I had to put her to sleep for a little bit, is all. She'll be just fi-" There was a crackling of energy that suddenly formed underneath the bartender, before he could finish speaking. Suddenly, a small swirling portal formed underneath him, causing him to fall into the murky blackness. "No!" He reached his hand out for help, but by the time Lothar could get to him, he had already fallen too far and the portal had closed, leaving Lothar alone in the dark alley.
((Paps and Arissa have effectively exited the thread. Only the power of disco remains now. As things should be.))
Meanwhile, Disco Piddomon seemed genuinely surprised when Mandrake had turned invisible. He looked around for a Digimon he couldn't see, swinging kicks around wildly. Most likely none of them would find purchase, but if Mandrake wanted to get kicked in the face a couple of times, I'm sure Piddomon wouldn't mind.
"You are a coward, baby!" He yelled out, unsure of the location of his opponent. "We can't have a dance battle if you can't be seen! So show yourself!" Stayin' Alive - Piddomon uses a dance to dodge an enemy ability. 3-post cooldown 1/3
Disco Inferno - Piddomon's wings alight with flames and scorch an enemy. 2-post cooldown. 1/2

Lothar seemed relieved that Arissa would wake but then a dark portal appeared underneath the bartender. When the bartender reached for him and called out for help, Lothar wasn't able to reach them in time. Though concerned about them there was nothing he could do so he headed to the club entering and seeing the Piddomon swiping at thin air. It seemed Mandrake had turned himself invisible. With a smirk, Lothar watched his friend was making the Piddomon look like a fool.
Mandrake had sensed his friend reenter the club and saw him sit at the bar watching the fight. Though the disguised Leomon had a relaxed demeanor, he was ready to interfere if he had to. Mandrake ignored the yells of the Piddomon and moved behind the disco Piddomon but out of range of kicks "Not my fault if you don't have the moves. Thunder Ball!" A crackling ball of electricity launched forth flying for the Piddomon.

But as Disco Piddomon looked around, he spotted a sphere of electricity suddenly form in midair and fly towards him! The blast of electricity struck him and left him shaking in both pain and from the excitement of battle. His digital muscles tensed up for a second, but with his connections to the powers of disco dancing he was quickly able to limber back up once more. He noticed Lothar return at this point pointing towards him and beckoning towards him.
"Hey, baby! Come on and get some! This dance floor's not crowded enough!" He spun back around and towards the source of the electricity. Even if he was still invisible, attacking gave him a good idea of where the Wizardmon was at. So... "Come on and... Play That Funky Music!!!" He send out a burst of concussive sound waves towards Mandrake's direction. But he wasn't What's more, the silver feathers began to hum and glimmer once more. It seemed like one of his attacks was ready to be used once again. But his assault wasn't over just yet.
"Now I'm going to take you to... Funkytown!!!" He clenched his fist and threw out a brightly colored burst of energy that flew towards the Wizardmon.

An alleyway flanked on all sides by high towers of human refuse, hides a dark secret world. Out from that darkness, rodent scurries out into the halogen lit, wide-open space of the alley. As it stops to consider a moist lump of gray matter it finds interesting, a black shadow cuts into the soft yellow of the street light. Effortlessly the dark shadow swims, weightless and dimensionless, through the light until it consumes the rat. The rat lifts its head, taking notice of the change in its surroundings. It sniffs the air. Red eyes widen! It smells death on the air. Something clicks in its tiny mind; muscles tense and release. Movement! The rat finds itself hurtling towards a safer shadow underneath the towers of garbage, exposed in the pale yellow street light.
The light glints off the eyes of a predator. Upon seeing the rodent scurry way, its pupils dilate. Something clicks in its mind; muscles tense and release...
Before either creature could be cognizant of what had transpired, the drama had already played out. The predator puzzled at this. Some part of her brain had acted completely on its own, compelling her muscles to propel her towards her prey without asking the rest of her if that was what she wanted. The other half was just a witness to it all until it was over. Even then, when the other half of her mind had taken over, much of what had transpired in that split second was fuzzy. The catlike digimon could hardly recall the time in between spotting the rat one moment and, in the next, feeling the weight of it dangling from her teeth.
There was no blood. Ocellimon had crushed its throat with her powerful jaws. That it died quickly was some small comfort, not for the rat--which was dead--but perhaps for the audience member who prefers to believe that there can be such a thing as an easy death. Whether the rat’s death was quick and painless, or that the feeling of having its windpipe crushed like a soda can so that it could no longer breathe was an excruciatingly painful final moment that seemed (to the rat) to last forever until finally--mercifully--it gave out into the void, remains a mystery that no one will ever attempt to solve, least of all Ocellimon.
Ocellimon dropped the rate unceremoniously to the floor in preparation to tear out its insides and devour them, but a crashing noise caused another trigger to be pulled in her brain. Tension and release. She found herself suddenly on top of a nearby dumpster, paws balanced precariously on the plastic lid. Her heartbeat rapidly in her chest, she’d barely registered the leap through the air, though she knew she had made it. The cat digimon peered over the edge to see a human disappearing into the shadows of the alleyway. Except it did not smell like a human. In her experience, living things in this world have a pungency that digimon lack. Ocellimon’s hair bristled.
Another crash, then several. Ocellimon was already with claws out, miraculously scaling the side of the nearest building. As she climbed, Ocellimon heard human voices--demonstrably human this time, pungent sents barely covered by strong tinctures that stung Ocellimon’s nose. The voices were high and panicked, and they were many. She landed on the tin roof of the club building and began walking towards the other side. The rhythmic thudding of the music reverberated up her claws, her legs, and jostled her chest. Resisting the urge to flee from the relentless pounding, she pressed on. She could feel more than music radiating from inside the building.
While many humans had left from the front, quite a few had congregated in an enclosure-like area outside in the back. Trapped like rats, thought the part of Ocellimons brain that seemed capable of thinking. Other than that remark, Ocellimon paid the humans no mind as she dropped down to the ground from the rooftop and began walking towards the open door as the humans flooded out. She wasn’t sure what part of her brain now compelled her towards the sound of a duel between powerful digimon, but in she went.
From soft yellow light to hard incandescent white, Ocellimon found herself in a hallway towards the back of the club. Unfortunately for her, Ocellimon’s nose let her know that the places where humans went to relieve themselves were located here. This was information Ocellimon would have been happy not knowing.
The harsh light reflected off Ocellimon’s second pair of eyes, which sat on the back of her long ears and were now wide open, red sparkling. The eyes darted about like they were experiencing REM sleep, but it was the surrounding humans (what few remained indoors) who looked dazed by them. When they looked at her, they inevitably made eye contact with the red eyes, and seemed to immediately forget she was even there.
Confident that she was well-hidden, Ocellimon peered around the corner, into the multi-color phantasm of light and shadow that was the dancefloor to witness the battle between two digimon in full view of humans. This was not going to end well, Ocellimon knew, and whatever part of her that dragged her into this room was also likely the part of her that enjoyed rubbing in the failures of others. This could be fun.

The concussive blast came as a surprise as Mandrake tried to evade it and had not proven fast enough. The concussive force sent Mandrake stumbling backwards causing him to become visible. Sitting up with a groan his eyes widened in shock as the Piddomon had launched another attack at him.
Lothar, meanwhile, had deactivated his holosuit and sprang forward at the Piddomon. "Smashing Kick!" Lothar shouted as he aimed a heel kick at Piddomon's ribs. Meanwhile the FunkyTown attack had sent Mandrake flying backwards landing in a pained heap.
Mandrake raised a hand and it began to glow. "Cleansing Soul." he groaned out. After the move healed his minor wounds he was able to use his staff to push himself to his feet. Yes he had more than minor wounds but now he was in a state where he could still fight if he was smart. He now understood how his opponent fought and said "I'm on to you, Piddomon. You have abilities that allow you to attack more often. Let's see how you'll be able to focus them against more than one opponent."

((OOC: Hey, An! So... you kinda showed up late to the party. Kinda planning on having the thread end a little bit after Piddomon went bye-bye. Also... I don't know how to react to Ocellimon's appearance, so I'm just gonna have Piddomon focus on the fight. So just wanted to know that I'm not outright ignoring you )) "Hey, come on, baby! That all you got!?" Disco Piddomon exclaimed, waving his hand dismissively towards Mandrake in a mocking gesture. "Gotta step up your gro-Oomph!" It was at that point Lothar flew out of nowhere and dropkicked the forrmer angel. He tumbled along the ground a bit before springing up back to his feet. "Surprise attacks are groovy, but your rhythm was...whack!" He spun around lifting his leg up and threw a kick towards the Leomon face.
Then he twirled back towards the recovering Mandrake. "But I didn't forget about you, baby! Disco... Inferno!" He unleashed another burst of flames from his wings towards the weakened Wizardmon. It was clear for the Piddomon that if he had to fight 2-on-1 he would be at a clear disadvantage, as he had been on even ground with just Mandrake previously. So as fun as dancing with two partners was, he needed to take out the Wizardmon before he could focus on the Leomon if he were to survive. For his death would signal the end for Disco, and he couldn't let that happen.
The former Angel Digimon had sacrificed too much of himself to Disco to allow himself to lose here and now! Not when there was still more dancing to be done!

Lothar took the force of the kick but stepped back out of range of another potential kick from Piddomon. Noticing that Piddomon was turning to attack Mandrake, he growled "I'll show you whack." A light blue aura formed around Lothar's body before the aura gathered in his palms. "Aura Ball!" Lothar said as he threw his palms out launching the light blue ball at Piddomon.
As for Mandrake, he looked at the oncoming fire with wide blue eyes before throwing himself to the floor feeling the heat of the attack as it passed narrowly overhead. Pushing himself to his feet once more, Mandrake said "I'm flattered you haven't forgotten about me so perhaps you'll like my next surprise. Magical Game!" With those words uttered the illusion of a giant green cobra the size of a large anaconda appeared with its hood spread wide and hissing menacingly. Would Piddomon be able to handle the combined effort of the two friends?

Ocellimon's fur bristled. She could feel the power radiating from the three digimon as they battled it out. Some small part of her relished the idea of combat. She pushed it away and calmed down. The other part of her just thought the three of them were absurd. She braced herself for what she believed was about to transpire: the darkly funny end to a tragicomedy of the brutes own making. Whatever they were about to lay down their lives for, Ocellimon hoped it was worth it to them.
Ocellimon heard the familiar low woosh of rapidly heating air moving closer, she dodged instinctively. Muscles tensed, and relaxed, the initial leap like a gun going off: instantaneous and unobservable; the areal somersault that followed breathtakingly smooth--as if she were flying through the air as adeptly as a hawk. Her landing was similarly immaculate as the flame exploded into the wall behind her, scattering dust and stone.
Ocellimon would survive. She wasn't as stupid as the others.
The act of dodging, however, did break the spell of Ocellimon's Stigma Glare, meaning she was visible for the moment that she had to dodge.
STIGMA GLARE - Eye Contact broken with targets, ending the effect early and making her visible.<Cooldown: 0/1>

((OOC: Rico, in the future, could you copy and paste your attack descriptions to the end of your posts? That way the people you're fighting with know exactly what they're dealing with.))
The Leomon had stepped away from Disco Piddomon, presumable because he couldn't keep up with his slick moves. Which was understandable to the former angel Digimon. There weren't many Digimon capable of handling him on the dance floor after he received his new power. However, the Leomon wasn't done just yet as he launched a sphere of energy towards the Piddomon. But unlike the previous sneak attack he was ready for this one!
"Stayin' Aliiiiiiiiive!!!" He shouted out, his form blurring as he danced from spot to spot, pirouetting out of the way of Lothar's attack. Finishing his little spin, he managed to get a good look at his surroundings. The Wizardmon was still looking a little roughed up, but still had plenty of fight in him. Lothar had yet to take a scratch on him but the Piddomon thought that he could probably take him on a one-on-one situation. And now... without him even realizing it, there were two newcomers to the dance floor - some serpent-like Digimon he had never seen before, and a similarly unfamiliar feline.
"This dance is going even better than when there were all of those humans!" He declared, pointing up at the ceiling. "But one of you doesn't belong here!" He pointed down towards the snake. "Don't get on the dance floor when you don't got any arms or legs! Funkytown!" He unleashed another short burst of energy towards the serpent, unaware that it was an illusion produced by the Wizardmon. - Piddomon uses his Defensive Ability Stayin Alive to avoid Lothar's Aura Ball. - Recognizing Ocellimon and the illusory serpent, Piddomon uses his Funkytown ability to attack Mandrake's Illusion.

"Alright this is getting old." Mandrake muttered. All he wanted was to maybe drive the Piddomon off. Now it looked like he and Lothar had to possibly knock the irritating digimon unconscious. After Piddomon had avoided Lothar's attack and turned his attention on Mandrake's illusion, he caught a glance at his friend's face. Lothar had a smirk as Piddomon turned his attack on the illusion but maybe the Leomon had a plan.
'I assume you have a plan, old friend.' Mandrake said to his friend telepathically and in the process opened a link between them.
'Nothing too crazy but, with luck, it should work. While he deals with your illusion you should move around near me. Then we let him have it.' Lothar said through the link to Mandrake causing Mandrake to nod and begin to move. By the time the illusion vanished Mandrake had moved over until he was standing at Lothar's side.
Cutting off the telepathic link between them Mandrake began to twirl his staff above his head and said "Meteor Squall!" A rain of fire came down from above Piddomon.
"Fist of the Beast King!" Lothar said after clenching his hand into a fist and then throwing a punch launching a lion shaped aura.

Fire began raining from the ceiling, prompting Ocellimon to get a better distance away. Zig-zagging through, she thought she'd made it when--
Pain! Hot, searing pain erupted at her tail. Ocellimon unleashed a bone-chilling scream and ran back to the safety of the hallway. Glancing behind her, she realized her tail had been singed. She poked her head out to hiss and spit at the two champion digimon.
Another explosion of power rocked the air. When the shockwave subsided, Ocellimon spoke:
"What do you two think you're doing!?" she said in a husky female voice dripping with contempt. Somehow, the feline digimon was still spitting and hissing like an animal, even as the voice that emanated from her was much calmer but no less hateful. Her speaking voice seemed to radiate from her being, disembodied from the hissing creature that was anatomically incapable of human speech. "How am I supposed to eat when all that noise is scaring away the prey!?"
She crouched low and glared at the two adult digimon as she hid her still-smoking tail underneath her.

"Oh, baby!" Disco Piddomon shouted out as the flames rained down from above him. He raised his arms to shield his face and luxurious hair from Mandrakes assault as his forearms were singed by the squall. What's more, he was left defenseless from Lothar's strike, knocking him square in the gut and sending him flying back. Still, he managed to maintain his stance and remain standing, though his legs buckled for a brief instant as the Ocellimon spoke up for the first time. Piddomon seemed nonplussed by the feline Digimon's angers and concerns, instead taking the time to spin around and point towards the Digimon in a dramatic fashion.
"You're on fire, baby!" He cried out as if it were a complement. "But why hunt for prey, when you can conquer on the dance floor! Get over her and get your groove on!" He beckoned the Digimon towards the action with his finger, shuffling his feet in place as he did so. He just needed a little more time. A little more time and he could unleash all the strength of the immeasurable disco energy towards his opponents and crush them once and for all. He wasn't able to attack in the meantime, but Disco Piddomon knew that the battle was drawing near its end. If he could hold on long enough to defend against his opponent's attacks, he knew that with his own strength he would seize victory!
Finally, all those Digimon in the Empyrean Skies who laughed at him for turning away from the holy attribute in exchange for the power of disco would soon be silenced once he destroyed this cat, wizard, and bigger cat and loaded their data! For he was Disco Piddomon, and he was groovy to the max!
- Disco Piddomon is worn down, but preparing his strongest moves to wipe out his opponents with the last of his strength. Obviously, he can't be reasoned with since his pride as a disco angel is on the line, so what will Mandrake, Lothar, and Ocelli do? Will they attack with all their strength, hoping to bring down Disco Piddomon before he can unleash his funky fury? Or will they shore up their defenses in attempt to weather his groovy onslaught! Find out on the Next Post of... this thread!

Though the Disco Piddomon was weakening he managed to keep from collapsing. Not only that he spun around to a digimon that Mandrake somehow had yet to notice while trying to beckon her toward the dance floor. The how or why of how she went unnoticed until now wasn't important now. Piddomon had to be stopped and soon since, judging by the energy he was giving off, he seemed to be building up power for something that was bound to be unpleasant. Glancing at Lothar, the Leomon nodding as if in understanding, Mandrake ran out in front of the Piddomon.
Lothar, meanwhile, moved in swiftly behind the Piddomon and grabbed ahold of the disco loving angel's wrists and held him in a restraining hold. Mandrake then said "Alright, friend, that's enough. There is no need for further violence. If this fight continues you risk not only your own destruction but any innocent bystander who is still near the club. Considering how far this fight has gone I doubt the club will remain standing forever."

Ocellimon felt the energy radiating off of Piddomon. She thought angel digimon were supposed to be pious or something. This was was insane. She didn't know what kind of dance Piddomon was talking about, and she didn't want to find out.
"Aw," she said, unconvincingly contrite, "I'm not much of a dancer. Four left paws, I'm afraid. So I believe I'll be going. Have fun boys. Stigma Glare!"
Ocellimon whipped around so that the back of her head was visible. On the backs of her ears were two closed eyes which spring open, revealing red orbs with yellow irises and black pupils The eyes darted about Piddomon, then to Leomon and Wizardmon. To the three champion digimon, Ocellimon had appeared to vanish.
With the time she was rendered invisible, Ocellimon was able to slink into the darkness towards the back of the club, fully intending to lave the three champions to their fate, whatever that might be.
Meanwhile...
Iona poked her out of the bathroom stall. Good. No one around. She practically ran out of the bathroom, just hoping not to come across anyone.
It was stupid of her to come out tonight. Why take the risk when things are going to be so difficult? It was bad enough that she was committing a crime, she was risking an altercation if she ran into the wrong person in the bathroom. At which point she was bound to be found out for having used a fake ID anyway, given that she was in a night club at age sixteen.
Her friend Robbie's fake had been pretty good, though. It was a UK I.D., but that just meant she had to pose as a tourist visiting the Japanese club scene. This place wasn't even her scene. She just...needed a distraction, perhaps. It seemed nowhere in Japan was her scene, but at least she could still get around about as easily as she could in Glasgow. Except for bathrooms, those were a more complicated matter for her here.
She noticed there was no one in the hallway. Again, good. She could here lots of chatter outside, where people often went to smoke and talk. Iona had no reason to go out there. She didn't smoke and didn't really talk for that matter. She just wanted to dance, even if she hated the music here.
She hated the people here. They were so judgmental about everything, one young woman openly calling her "fat" in the hallway was enough to make her want avoid them all. She thought older people were supposed to be more mature than that.
It wasn't until she re-entered the main area of the nightclub that she realized something was wrong: Three...creatures were standing close together. One of them, who resembled a bipedal lion, had another one--some man wearing a metal mask and several sets of angel wings--locked in a hold with his arm behind his back. A third was smaller and looked like someone in robes. If Iona hadn't seen some of the things she'd already seen in Shibuya, she'd think these were just eccentric club-goes, but experience--and the presence of several things in the room that were now on fire--clued her in that they were more than just eccentric.
"What the hell!?" she said, wondering if she should back up. Yet, somehow--perhaps it was the fear at seeing these digimon up close--she found herself frozen, unable to move.
What the hell!? Ocellimon thought. She was just about to slip out of the room when she heard a familiar voice.
Iona! Why would she be here!? Ocellimon had many encounters with this particular human. Often times, Iona would be somewhere Ocellimon felt herself drawn to. And now, she was here. Right in the middle of a fight between champion-level digimon battling it out for supremacy, while one of them seemed to be about to explode with power!
The cat digimon's insides felt like ice.
Ocellimon felt a now disturbingly familiar and unwanted pull towards the girl. Perhaps that is what drew her to the club in the first place. She was in danger, but...no! Ocellimon had to take care of herself...The pull of opposites held her in place, in a rigid, defensive posture.
Ocellimon used Stigma Glare, which masks her movement on her turn. To other digimon she will have simply vanished. She then moved into the darkness in order to sneak out and leave. That plan goes awry when a familiar face makes her presence known...
Relevant Skills: 1.Stigma Glare - Hypnotic glare from Ocellimon's second set of eyes. As long as she can make eye contact with foe, they will not be able to see her on her next turn, giving her the chance to run and hide. This does not blind the foe to anything other than Ocellimon's location, and only for one turn. Has a one-turn cooldown.

"You cats aren't cool at all!" Disco Piddomon yelled out frustration as Ocellimon just seemed to vanish entirely and then the Leomon ran up behind him and restrained him in a single, swift motion. Then the Wizardmon gave him some sort of speech about risking himself and others. The fool couldn't understand! Why didn't anyone understand!?
"Is that what you think is important...?" Disco Piddomon replied. The wings on his back began to glow with power once more. "Buildings and people? YOU FOOL!!! Disco... Inferno!!!" His rage was so great he didn't even notice the human that appeared from the bathroom. His wings sent out a burst of scorching energy directly behind him. Lothar, who made the unfortunate choice of standing behind Disco Piddomon took the brunt of the attack. No longer restrained he pointed towards Mandrake. "Buildings are destroyed and rebuilt! People perish and are born again! But disco... disco shall never fade away! So long as the dance floor remains, my dance shall never end! So I say once more... Play That Funky Music!!!" Holding out his hands he sent out a wave of concussive force directly towards Mandrake.
Unfortunately, as it was, Iona was also in the very edge of this sound cone. If she did nothing to move out of the way or be forced to move, while not a fatal blow, she would be severely damaged from this attack. What was everyone going to do? Disco Piddomon threw everything he had, but so long he remains on the dance floor you can be sure he intends on fighting until his last breath. Will Mandrake or Lothar recover in time to defend this newcomer? Would Ocellimon jump in to help the girl she recognizes? Or was Iona just gonna tank the attack like a boss? Your fates are up to you!
-Disco Piddomon uses a point-blank Disco Inferno at Lothar who made the wise decision to stand behind the Groovy Angel -Using his second attack from being on the dance floor, he unleashes his second attack centered on Mandrake, but also potentially affecting Iona. -This fight's gonna be ending soon. I don't know nearly enough about disco to keep trying to make references.
Relevant Abilities Saturday Night Fever - Piddomon forgoes his divine rod and holy attribute to obtain an even greater power... the power of disco. While he is on the dance floor, Piddomon's mind can't be read or manipulated, and can attack twice on each of his turns.
