It was pretty much a typical day for Yuudai, Shi had finally gone back to school so Yuudai and Yasuo were on standby until he got back. Considering they felt weaker when he wasn't around they usually depowered back into their lower forms to save energy, kept them from getting hungry too. If only Yuudai knew that would be one of the worst ideas he's ever had as he sat inside an eight year olds backpack swinging side to side as she walked towards her destination. He fell asleep where he normally did and his, well Shi's sister had come into her brothers room to find something, she instead found Yuudai and thinking he apparently was a toy from her brother took him to school, he's just glad he wasn't a heavy sleeper or snored a lot. The entire school day he'd been stuck inside being forces to pretend to be a doll everytime Mirai brought him out, suffice to say it was horrible, especially when lunch came around, all those good smelling foods and he got nothing out of it, he was fading pretty fast but he heard the girl talking to someone she was apparently walking with.
"Yeah, two large dinosaurs. They're so cute. My brother even has drawings of them I swear." it seems she was telling them about Yuudai and Yasuo, they had been declared her imaginary friends alongside a bunny with guns attached to his arms. Yuudai felt a bit bad everyone thought she was lying but couldn't exactly reveal himself to anyone an eight year old said could keep a secret, he almost sighed but caught himself as Mirai seemed to be approaching a house that wasn't theirs, was she going to a friends? Wasn't today supposed to be the day the family hung out? Maybe she forgot.
(Meanwhile.)
A short but older women in a lab coat stood in a classroom with the teacher, shaking her head she gave a small sigh. "I guess Mirai forgot, I suppose it has been a while." Getting some details from the teacher she walked off pulling out a cell phone and dialed up her son. "Shi? Yes apparently Mirai went on a play date, I have to head home so could you go pick her up? Your class just ended right?" She asked with the same tone her son usually had, shows where he got it.
Shi was just getting out of his class room looking at the time, his next class didn't start for some time so he could easily head over there. With a quick text on the address the teen gave a small sigh and started on his way to the residential district.

"You're totally lying, everyone knows that all the dinosaurs died a long time ago," the girl that Mirai was walking with said, who's name was Mari. Heck, Mari was the one who pointed out to Mirai that their two names were similar, and that's how they ended up becoming friends. Didn't take much for little girls to become friends with it each other, did it?
"But do you wanna know something else? I think our house has a mega insect problem. I see a giant bug walking around sometimes, usually in the kitchen. I even took a picture on an old camera to prove it, I have the picture in my room!"
Once they got to the house, Mari opened the door and allowed her new friend to come in. Her older sister Kaya, who was in middle school, peaked her head out from the living room when she heard the door opening. "Hey Mari, Mom and Dad are both out right now, so- wait, who's that?"
"This is my classmate Mirai, she's here for a playdate!"
"Sh-She is? Uh, hold on a second..." Kaya said sort of nervously before running upstairs. About a minute later she would come back down, looking at Mari and Mirai. "Next time, can you give me a bit of warning before bringing someone over?"
"Sorry, Kaya."
"Oh it's fine. You two go play upstairs. You want any snacks?"

Mirai seemed a little peeved that she was accused of lying again, then Mari mentioning a bug problem made a lightbulb pop up in her head. "Eww, a giant bug? I wanna see!" while grossed out a bit on the giant bug thing the idea of it being giant beat out the whole it being gross thing. "I should take a picture of the two I mentioned, then everyone will know I'm telling the truth." Note to self, also note to Yasuo to stay away from Mirai while she has a camera on hand, guess this whole being trapped thing wasn't too bad if he got some information, wait no still very bad and not worth it in the slightest.
Eventually they reached the door and Mirai eas greeted by what she assumed was Mari's older sister. "Hi!" she smiled giving a big wave towards her. Then she went upstairs to do, something. "Huh, my brother does that too when we have surprise guests?" maybe that was just a thing older siblings did? She didn't know she wasn't one.
Then Kaya came back downstairs and offered snacks, but first Mirai decided to be polite. "Hello, nice to meet you Kaya. I'd like that. Can I leave my bag here?" she asked holding it with one arm, yes a chance for Yuudai's freedom.
(Meanwhile)
Shi was pretty lax on heading over, he was heading straight there but part of him decided to send a quick text to Yasuo and Yuudai, might as well take them along. He'd swing near his house to pick them up.

"Come on, bug's aren't that gross," Mari said, feeling like she had to defend it for some reason. Then Mirai shared her own idea of taking a picture of those dinosaurs and showing the rest of the class. "That is if they're real of course, which they so clearly aren't. At least bugs still exist on the planet!"
Back at Mari's house, she and Mirai waited while Kaya did something upstairs. Mirai mentioned that her brother did a similar thing when they had surprise guests as well. "Maybe they're hiding something? What if it's candy?! Kaya always hides all the best candy from me!"
When Kaya came back down, Mirai asked if she could leave her bag somewhere in the room. "Oh sure, just make sure it's not in the way or anything."
"Come on, let's go to my room," Mari suggested as she raced up the stairs, expecting Mirai to follow suit. After Kaya went upstairs soon after with bags of chips and cans of juice, Hawkeye would silently drop down from the ceiling, as that is where he was hiding this whole time. He definitely sensed Digimon activity coming... from that other girl's backpack?
He walked over to the backpack and unzipped it, revealing a pink ball with long ears and red eyes. A Koromon, if Hawkeye remembered correctly. "So even Kaya's sister can attact Tamers to her, how wonderful."

"I'll make sure I have the clearest picture I can get of them." Mirai seemed sure she'd get the picture, Yuudai fought with his thoughts of letting her but he had to protect the digimon secret at all cost, least according to Shi and that one weirdo Shi brought home once. "Hmm, my brother doesn't like candy though. Oh that must be his ploy to keep it from me." Nah Shi just didn't like sweet stuff but only Yuudai who couldn't talk knew about that. So with leaving her bag near the exit Mirai went up with her friend racing alongside her leaving Yuudai to his bagged grave.
"Yeah I'm not spending the Entire day inside a bag Mirai." Once Yuudai felt nothing nearby he slowly started to open the bag from the inside, hard but something he was capable of. That was until he felt something else enter the room and went back to being silent, almost scary silent until the bag was opened and he got a look at the digimon that opened it, Yuudai knew he felt something other then the girls but his depowered form made his senses dull, that and being inside a bag all day.
"Wasn't sure I felt someone else, but no Mirai ain't a tamer. Her older brother is." Yuudai corrected as he hopped out of the bag. "Hey could ya get the door? I can find my w-" he was about to assure he could find his way home but suddenly he felt a sharp pain and his stomach started growling. "Ahh, right haven't eaten anything since yesterday. Ugh can barely move." maybe staying in the bag was a better idea, Yuudai looked up at the digimon hoping maybe he could help out a poor soul.

"Once Kaya brings us the snacks, we'll wait for her to set them down before we tackle her and demand she give the candy to us," Mari would whisper to her friend with a slight giggle. This was going to be the day that the little ones would dominate over the older kids, and get the candy for themselves!
After Mari and Mirai got to Mari's room, the former would head towards the spot where she hid the picture: taped underneath the bed. She reached around for it before finally grabbing something that felt like paper. Mari ripped off the picture and proudly showed it off to Mirai. "Ta-daaaa!"
The picture was a bit blurry, but it definitely showed the scene well enough; a giant hot-pink beetle thing in front of an open fridge, with orange antennae and arms with claws on them. It looked like he was... raiding the fridge?
"Hey," Kaya greeted as she set down the snacks, including a couple for herself. She noticed that Mari was holding a picture. "Mari, what's that picture you have?"
"I took it last night," Mari said as she handed the image to her sister. Kaya recognized that bug in the image, and her eyes widened in fear.
Oh god, she discovered Kazuo... what am I gonna do now?
Back downstairs, the Koromon clarified that it was actually the girl's brother who was the Tamer, not her. "Okay, but that does not explain why you are in her bag then. Wait, were you at their school all day!?"
Hawkeye's question would immediately be answered when the Koromon's stomach growled. He gave the Hawkmon puppy dog eyes, as if asking for food. Hawkeye rolled his eyes and sighed. "Alright, fine. Wait here."
The bird walked over to the kitchen, opening the fridge to see what would fill up the Koromon. He noticed a plate of mochi wrapped in plastic wrap. Figuring that'd do, he'd take the entire plate and bring it back to the in-training Digimon. "This should be enough for you. My name's Hawkeye, by the way."

"Yeah, Teamwork." Mirai let out a small laugh as well, she wasn't planning on assaulting someone she just met for candy, gotta know someone at least a month before jokes like that are sorta ok. But time was done for that, now was the time for looking at a blurry picture of something opening a fridge. "Is he, stealing the food? But giant bugs. Wow." she did seem interested but she looked a bit closer, something about it seemed familiar. "Huh, it kinda reminds me of one of my brothers drawings a bit." He had a notebook with all sorts of creatures in it she 'borrowed' time to time. But it was probably just a coincidence.
Hmm, well if Mari took it last night well. "Maybe it's still around. Oh maybe we could find it." she was the adventurous sort so looking for a large bug sounded fun, even if Kaya might of dreaded hearing the kid ask that.
Meanwhile downstairs Yuudai's plea was answered as he was given a plate of Mochi, Yuudai had never seen something so good looking. Or it was because he was that hungry he didn't know. "Thanks you're a life saver, Name's Yuudai Namika." with a smile Yuudai quickly ripped the plastic wrap off and basically ate the whole thing in about twenty seconds give or take. He was like a tornado. "Yeah I spent all day in the bag, I took a nap and Mirai mistook me for one of her toys. Had to pretend to be one all day." Yuudai sighed a bit annoyed at the whole thing. "Anyway mind getting the door for me? I can find my way back pretty easily. I'd digivolve and do it myself but that might make some noise." Yuudai asked politely with a smile.
Meanwhile on the other side of the door the teen on a mission, sorta was at the door. Yuudai didn't wake up so only Yasuo was in his back pack, with a quiet push he rung the door bell, checking his phone to make sure he got the right address.

"I was really scared when I took the picture, that's probably why it's so hard to see," Mari admitted. I mean, who wouldn't be scared after seeing a giant bug the size of a toddler rummaging through the fridge? "Good question, I think he is stealing food from us." Mari gasped. "That's gotta be what happened to my yogurt that I was saving!"
Kaya stared at the picture in pure disbelief. How could Kazuo be that careless when looking for food? Now she knew how other Tamers felt about their bottomless bellied Digimon. If this situation could be sorted out in any way, she'd definitely have to teach Kazuo more about being stealthy, as well as limit his food.
It was then that Kaya could hear someone knocking at the door. "Well, I better go get that," she said as she left the room, taking the picture with her.
"Hey, the picture!" Mari yelled as Kaya left. "Fine, guess I gotta go take something of hers for that picture." Mari would then stomp out of her room and go to Kaya's to rummage around for anything useful. If Mirai decided to follow, it was only a matter of time before one of them spotted Kaya's iC Burst Digivice...
Moments before the other visitor came, Hawkeye watched as the Koromon, who's name was Yuudai, eat all the mochi within twenty seconds. The Hawkmon was wide-eyed as he watched. "Even my Tentomon ally cannot eat a bag of chips that fast..."
After finishing, Yuudai explained that he took a nap in that child's bag, who mistook the Koromon for one of her toys and spent all day in that bag while she was at school. "That is rough. I'm usually in the V-Pet when Kaya goes to school."
That's when the knocking started. "You might want to hide," Hawkeye whispered to Yuudai as he hopped back up to his hiding place on the ceiling shortly before Kaya came down the stairs, definitely not noticing Yuudai at all. Opening the door, she would come face to face with a very eerie-looking teen.
"Um... can I help you, sir?"

Mirai just nodded as Mari mentioned being scared, she couldn't imagine being near something that big. But the adventurous part about her still wanted to see if they could find it, teach it that stealing food is wrong. "How mean." poor Yogurt vanishing, it wasn't nice to steal. But now that Kaya took the picture when she went to answer the door it was time to steal from her. "Oh, I'll help." she raced after Mari to go find something to take for ransom, probably.
She started looking through the room when suddenly a device caught her eye. "Oh hey, this looks important." she said reaching over and grabbing the digivice. Reminded her of that weird device her brother always kept in his jacket. "Hmm, wonder what this is anyway?" she questioned turning the device around looking at it without pressing any buttons, she was a bit worried about making the device turn on, Might make noise then.
(Downstairs.)
Yuudai looked a bit offended at what Hawkeye said. "Hey I don't usually down food that fast, like I said I hadn't eaten anything since yesterday, a shame I wanted to enjoy it more but I couldn't help myself." it was like his mind took over and made him consume, he should probably make sure to eat two dinners tonight.
Then the doorbell rung and Hawkeye advised Yuudai to hide, however he didn't need to as the Koromon quickly rolled backwards back into the bag and closed the lid slightly so he could see out but anything looking in wouldn't be able to see him clearly. Just in time as Kaya came downstairs and answered the door.
Shi was a bit surprised it was someone younger answering the door, at first he thought this was Mirai's friend but she seemed a bit too old. "Hello, my name's Shi Namika. I'm Mirai's older brother. She was supposed to be picked up by our mom today but apparently came over here instead. So I'm here to pick her up." Shi got right to the point his voice and face showing no emotion in the slightest, complete opposite of Mirai.
Yuudai recognized that voice, Shi was here to save him. Well apparently not but still this was perfect. Kaya goes to get Mirai and Yuudai gets to go back home. This was a 100% winning scenario.

While Mari was searching in the drawers of Kaya's dresser, Mirai said she saw something that was sitting on Kaya's desk. Mari stopped her searching and walked over to her new friend to see what she had found. "That thing? I think it's some kind of video game," she said. "See if you can find the on button!"
What these two little girls would end up doing would probably be the biggest mistake they ever made. While Mirai was pressing the buttons on the device, she ended up pushing the button that opened up the Digiport. The portal would open up right beneath the two of them, causing both girls to fall in and be transported to the Digital World...
Back downstairs, Kaya opened the door to reveal a very tall and eerie looking stranger standing outside. He claimed that he was Mirai's older brother Shi, and that she was supposed to be picked up by their mother today but came over here instead so Shi came to pick her up instead. "Oh geez... Mari's not gonna be happy that her playdate was cut short. I'll go upstairs and let them know you're here."
Shutting the front door, Kaya would begin to walk up the stairs before a bright light briefly emanated from the hallway, along with a kind of zapping noise. This nearly made Kaya fall backwards from surprise, grabbing the railing to support herself. "Oh no... Mari!" She bolted up the stairs and opened up Mari's bedroom door... no one there. She then opened up her own bedroom door. Again, no one was there, but something definitely was noticeable... her Digivice sitting right on the ground.
The preteen got onto her knees, picking up the Digivice and piecing together what most likely had happened. "Oh no... no no no no!" Kaya panicked as she got up from her kneeling position. She ran back down the stairs, calling out for her Digimon. "Hawkeye! Hawkeye, where are you?! We have a problem!"
Almost instantly, Hawkeye quietly exited his hiding position from the ceiling. "Kaya, don't tell me that light was-"
"It was the Digiport, Hawkeye. Those two must've snuck into my room and started messing with it... I'm such an idiot for leaving it in the open like that, and now they're both somewhere in the Digital World! What am I gonna tell her brother?!"
"Don't panic, Kaya... perhaps her brother can help us," Hawkeye suggested, pointing towards the backpack that Yuudai was currently hiding in.

Mirai didn't want to push too many buttons, but they sure did look tempting so she couldn't help herself after a bit and started pushing the buttons a bit more, which in turn opened up a portal to the digital world which she fell through letting out a small but loud yelp as she fell through going to a new unknown place in the digital world.
Shi did figure that the little girl might be mad that her playtime was cut so short, however Shi was more worried about his mom being mad so he could deal with a little kid, probably. He gave a small nod as she closed the door with his arms crossed waiting a bit, till he thought he heard something from the house and uncrossed his arms. "Shi, I don't like the sound of that." indeed, Shi went to open the door but stopped, after all walking into someone's house was usually a no go.
Shi heard the little girl he just talked to beyond the door, couldn't make out everything but he heard her shout about the digital world, pausing for a bit he grit his teeth, for once instead of no emotion on his face a short look of worry was evident. It quickly vanished as he calmed down though.
When Hawkeye pointed to the bag he was probably expecting Yuudai to come out, which was weird cause Yuudai wasn't in the bag anymore. He hopped out and jumped up grabbing the door handle with his teeth and opening the door revealing the teen once more. Shi calmly reached in his pocket and pulled out his own digivice to show Kaya. "Shi, bad news. Very bad Mirai is in the digital world." Yuudai exclaimed.
Shi looked over at Kaya and the digimon now standing in front of him. "What happened? Tell me everything." he didn't seem angry or worried at first glance but there was an slight hint of worry in his voice as he asked.

Kaya blinked when she saw the Koromon trying to open the door. Definitely wasn't something that she was expecting to see at that moment. "Wait, so Mirai brought that Digimon back here?" Kaya asked.
"Mhm," Hawkeye confirmed, "Apparently she confused him for one of her stuffed toys. He spent all day at the school inside that backpack."
"Oh, that poor thing..."
Once Yuudai got the door to open and explained to Shi what was happening, the teen showed Kaya his own digivice before asking her what happened. "Before you knocked on the door I took this picture away from them," Kaya explained, showing Shi the picture. "It's of our Tentomon friend Kazuo, and my sister took a picture of him. She must've gotten angry and tried to steal something of mine as a sort of blackmail. Of course I was an idiot and left my Digivice in there, and now I'm positive they're both in the Digital World."
"This is bad," Hawkeye stated, "it's dangerous enough for someone of your age in the Digital World, but two children who are even younger? We must search for them."
"But the Digital World is huge, how do we even know what area they're in?!"
"W-What's going on?" A sudden voice asked, which came from a Tentomon who was peeking out of the entryway for the kitchen. "And who are these people? Is he a Tamer as well?"
The way Kaya turned around towards the Tentomon was incredibly scary, despite her age. The Tentomon gulped. "Do you want to explain this?" Kaya angrily asked the Tentomon, showing him the picture.
"Who took that?! I thought I was alone!"
"My sister did. And now thanks to this, she's trapped in the Digital World."
"Trapped!? We need to go rescue her then! I'm really sorry Kaya, please let me help you!" Despite not officially meeting her, Kazuo thought Mari was really nice and didn't want to see her hurt at all. If Kaya was right, then Kazuo felt absolutely horrible about all of this.
"First we need to find out where the Digiport took them."

Shi looked at the picture and his eyes instantly lowered, he had a frown and sighed. "He got caught, raiding the fridge." Scratching the side of his head he sighed. "Even Yuudai isn't that bad." Yuudai jumped at his brothers remark. "Oh Yasuo you're here, Hey! Even I don't raid the fridge. That's why we got the Mini fridge." Yup in Shi's closet was a mini fridge for the twins, luckily he had an outlet there for some reason. "Ignoring that I agree, regardless of how it happened the main thing is we have to find them."
Then the bug in question came, he seemed a bit distressed about getting the kids into that mess and offered help. "We need all the help we can get, I don't mind him helping." While Shi was annoyed that it led to his sister being in trouble the group needed all the help they could get if they wanted to find them.
Yuudai wondered how to figure out where they went. "Does the digiport have any kinda recall function, tell you the last place visited?" he wasn't well verses in those port things. "Maybe it's still set to that location, if we open it up again we might be sent to the same place." it was the best guesses the twins had, Shi only had the first digiport function so it was out of his hands. Shi on the other hand gave no advice, his phone was in his hands and he called someone. "Hey mom, yeah I got Mirai. She's a bit upset so I'm swinging by the mall to cheer her up. Yeah I'll be home don't worry. Love you too." Shi hung up and put his phone away. "I got about three hours before she gets suspicious." well even better, soft time limit.

Kaya jumped slightly when a second Koromon appeared from Shi's backpack. "What the- don't scare me like that, I'm already on edge right now as is!" Kaya yelled, causing both Hawkeye and Kazuo to step back a bit, as they never really saw Kaya raise her voice this much before.
For now, Shi and his twin Koromon partners agreed that they had to go and save those little girls. The Koromons suggested that they just go to the place where the Digiport was set when Mari and Mirai opened it. "If you feel like standing around and doing nothing for a few minutes that could work."
"Wait, why would we be-"
"The Digiport has a cooldown timer of five minutes. Hawkeye told me. We can't just sit around here waiting though, at any second some kinda monster thing will jump out of the blue and kill them-" At this point Kaya just stopped talking and began wheezing, as if she was having trouble breathing.
"Easy, Kaya, easy," Hawkeye said in a calm voice as he held Kaya's hand to hopefully calm her down. The wheezing slowly stopped afterwards. "You will have to open up the Digiport, Shi. I don't know if yours is upgraded like ours, so we will just have to join up with you later."

Kaya yelled at the Koromon for startling her but his face didn't seem to mind the anger. "Sorry I didn't see an opportune time so I kinda just went for it." he didn't mean to scare Kaya but he had to come out eventually. Once Shi heard the conversation after his phone call he knew about the five minute timer, the twins didn't know mostly because it never came up much in the digital world. "Yeah, mine isn't as upgraded so I'll go on ahead, just tell me where they are. Regardless of distance Wargreymon can get us there in a flash." Shi pulled out his digivice, obviously it was a bit more worn then Kaya's but it'd get the job done.
Shi looked outside to make sure there wasn't anyone on the streets, not many so he took another step inside the house to avoid getting seen. "Regardless on how it happened, you have my Promise Kaya I'll do whatever I can to bring them both back safe." Shi wanted to place a hand on her shoulder to reassure the kid but he relented as he didn't know them well enough.
"When we Namika boys make a promise we keep it." Yuudai reassured as he hopped closer to Shi. "Still when you can come along anyway, we can use all the help we can get." Yasuo added giving Shi and Yuudai a nod which they returned, a pit in Shi's stomach was formed going back to the digital world so soon after the hospital but the determination to help his and Kaya's sister was far greater.
