Requirements:
This is going to be a potentially disturbing mission; content warnings for plenty of spiders/insects, parasites, potential body horror, digimon getting nommed, and paralyzation being used in potentially terrifying contexts. If any of these disturb you, it's unadvised to join this mission. Otherwise, healing abilities will be helpful.
Plot Description:
For the past few weeks, people who have been wandering into the normally tranquil Server Woods have been coming up missing. On its own, it isn't unusual for younger digimon to get lost within the woods; especially the deepest parts of it. However, it becomes all the more concerning when older Champions and the occasional Ultimate are disappearing, as well; and the number of people who have gone missing is extremely abnormal.
It is only recently that we've been able to find a lead onto these disappearances, however; a survivor of these disappearances, who has revealed that a group of digimon have made their lair deep within the woods, and are abducting digimon for rather haunting reasons - though we don't have all the details quite yet.
All I can say, is that we will need help to clear out this lair and rescue the travelers trapped within - and that those of weak constitutions should stay well away from Server Woods, until this is all over. If we cannot clear this lair, then these disappearances will only continue - and I fear to imagine what might happen if these perpetrators become even stronger, or bolder.
Mission Description:
Upon rendezvousing with Petermon and D'arcmon to learn of the lair, and what to expect from those within it, missiongoers are to make their way into the deeper parts of Server Woods. Once there, they will fight their way into the lair of whoever is responsible for the disappearing travelers, rescue any survivors that they can find, and (potentially) defeat the beast that's dwelling within.
Objective Summary:
- Rendezvous with Petermon and D'arcmon
- Learn of the location of the lair and the nature of its inhabitants
- Fight your way to the heart of the lair
- Rescue the captured travelers
- Defeat the beast responsible for this.
Grace Period: 1 Week
Reward Offered:
One of the following: (note that the artifiact can only be chosen as a reward by one person)
- 50 Posts
- 36,000 Bits
- Infested Bark [Strong Artifact]: A rotted piece of wood, with insects crawling all over it; looking at it for too long fills one with a sense of revulsion. Once per thread, a digimon can release the swarm within the bark to attack a nearby enemy - whereupon the insects will drain a portion of the enemy's vitality. The user gains health equal to the amount of damage dealt, as the insects share that drained vitality with them.
