"Yeah, I can give you a ride. The closest town I can recall is a town called Rustport. It's sole purpose is to just have a way to survive in the desert," Adrian said with a small chuckle. "Shoutmon'll have to stay in my Digivice's V-Pet program for the ride though, my car's only a two seater."
"Aw, come on!"
"I noticed that she flinched when you corrected her, dude. I don't think she feels comfortable around you anyways."
"...ugh, fine."
As Adrian sucked Shoutmon into his Digivice, Tsumi asked if there was a way to get back to the real world, and if it was possible for Digimon to go there. "The answer to both those questions is yes. Travel between the worlds is ridiculously easy. One way is to take a Trailmon back to the human world, which is like a living train Digimon. There are also Digi-port upgrades that you can get for your own Digivice. You'd be surprised by how many Digimon live in Shibuya alone!"
Suddenly, Adrian and Tsumi could feel the sand beneath them start to shake and rumble, kind of like an earthquake. Then before either of them could realize it, a giant boney tail would shoot out of the sand nearby, absolutely towering over the two humans. It would start swinging back down, its stinger coming right for Tsumi...
"LOOK OUT!" Adrian yelled as he grabbed Tsumi and pulled her and her Digimon towards him, causing the tail to completely miss and sink back into the sand. This thing was definitely going to try and attack again... "Get into the car, now!"

"Eh?!" She says, raising a brow in complete disbelief. "I think I'd know if these monsters lived in Shibuya...they can't be hiding that well, can they?" She asks.
But before she could get an answer, the stinger of bone comes crashing down. She screams and holds her two digimon close to her chest to protect them, closing her eyes...luckily, she's pulled out of the way.
She does not hesitate in the slightest to get into the car, looking down to her two digimon to see if they were okay...they were fine, looking up at her curiously.
"Get in! GetingetIIIIIIIIN COME ON!" She says in a panic. "I don't know how to drive!"
The two baby digimon look between eachother, then out past the door, where the tail came from. That thing was absolutely dangerous, and could absolutely squish them if given the chance...however....They begin to contemplate some things, as well as a fresh-level digimon could....
all the while Tsumi is on the brink of another panic attack.

Adrian would've loved to answer her question about how well Digimon could hide themselves in Shibuya, but right now they had bigger problems to deal with. Like staying alive and not getting stabbed by the giant thing that just came out of the sand to try and kill the two humans.
As soon as Tsumi and her Digimon were in the passenger seat, Adrian booked it to the driver side himself and also did not hesitate to start the car up. He stepped on the gas pedal as hard as he could, and the buggy immediately began to take off. However, that didn't mean they had shaken this Digimon off their trail...
...because about ten seconds later, that same tail shot out from the sand mere feet in front of them. Thankfully Adrian managed to step on the breaks and turn the car around to the left to avoid another swipe from the bone tail. What was this Digimon that was chasing after them!? It didn't matter; the sooner they got to Rustport town, the safer they'll be.
"You three alright over there!?" Adrian asked, not being able to look at Tsumi and her Digimon as he was too busy watching for the tail to shoot back up again.

Between the initial hard-start of the car, and the turn around, Tsumi was already experiencing whiplash and car sickness unlike anything she's dealt with before...but everyone was accounted for.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Keep going!" She says, as her digivice beeps a few times and begins to shine. "What in the-"
The light envelops the two digimon on her lap, warping their bodies as they grow a bit bigger...small enough to still fit on her lap, but uncomfortably so, making them all cramped together.
"Sakuttomon is here!" Cheers the golden orb, now boasting four stubby legs and two sword horns, one on each side of its head.
"Kakkinmon, ready to serve!" cries the shield digimon, with its strapped on armor now being made of bronze, and a mouth full of sharp teeth becoming clear.
"WHA!? WHERE DID THEY GO!?" She says, almost ready to throw these two digimon out the window.
"Nonononono please don't!" Kakkinmon proclaims in panic, now realizing the danger they were in.
"We're the same digimon! Just a bit older. Trust me. Now uh, GO FASTER" Sakuttomon says, looking behind them for the mysterious tail.

Adrian could only see the light of digivolution in the lower righthand corner of his vision, but he definitely knew what was going on - and now was probably one of the worst possible times to do it. "They're digivolving now of all times?! Great timing, you two!" Adrian really couldn't explain to Tsumi was digivolution was quite yet, so hopefully she didn't just throw them onto the sand or something like that.
The car continued going, just narrowly dodging the next few sudden appearances of the tail. What was it trying to do, exactly? Did it want to destroy them? Eat them? Whatever it was, it would spell bad news for the group...
Something huge would then come right out of the sand, several feet in front of the buggy car. This Digimon looked absolutely monstrous, looking as if all of its flesh was peeled off and leaving behind just the bone. The Digimon roared, readying its pincers and tail to grab or stab the car once it got close enough.
"Scorpiomon..." Adrian muttered, his eyes widening from surprise and fear. He noticed that there was a gap between Scorpiomon's legs; if they drove fast enough, then they could possibly shake him off for good...
"Hold onto something!" Adrian warned as he continued driving up towards the Scorpiomon. It roared once more, this time raising its pincers to actually grab the car. Right before Scorpiomon could make the move however, Adrian pressed a big red button next to the steering wheel. Suddenly the car's nitro boosters would activate, sending the car zooming right underneath Scorpiomon and getting as far away from it as possible.
After another few minutes, the nitro boosters on the buggy stopped. The car gradually began to slow down as it approached a small town in the desert: Rustport Town. "We're finally here..."

"Kakkinmon? Sakuttomon? A-alright..." She mutters, glancing between them....just for her gaze to shift to the massive digimon in front of them. And they...weren't stopping.
"Waaaiiit, we need to turn around! Not go right for it!" She says, hugging her...unsurprisingly hard and non-cuddly digimon very close. When it raised its claw, she let out a girlish scream and closed her eyes, waiting for death. Then, the force of the increased speed made her heart feel like it dropped, rushing past the ultimate-level digimon with relative ease.
She whimpers, opening her eyes to see that they are surprisingly...not dead.
"You really were scared, Tsumi!" Sakuttomon says with a chuckle. "Hey...don't bully her about it. We thought we were gonna die too." Replies Kakkinmon.
She takes a moment to process this, looking down to the two plush-looking (but pointy) monsters on her lap. "So you know my name...I guess that means you are the same monsters, and overheard us talking?" She says with a sigh. "This is...too much for one day..."

"After a... few years of being a Tamer... you know how things work," Adrian said in between taking deep breaths once they had stopped in a safe area. "I really am sorry about this, Tsumi. That Scorpiomon being there was a fluke, the Digital World isn't entirely dangerous. Just try to give it and your Digimon a chance, okay?"
Once they had stopped, Adrian took that opportunity to have Shoutmon come out of the V-Pet, materializing next to the dune buggy car. "Hey, we made it to Rustport!" the red dragon cheered. "That was quicker than I expected!"
"Yeah... whoo..."
"You both look like death... What happened to you guys while I was in there...?"
"Scorpiomon happened. Let's take a note to not go to that part of the desert anymore."
"Probably for the best." Shoutmon looked over at Tsumi with a sympathetic look. "It wasn't too much for you, was it, Tsumi? I know Adrian was very unsure of all this when I first met him."

"I would hope so..." Tsumi says, rubbing the back of her neck as she gets out of the buggy. Her digimon hop down onto the ground. "I don't know WHAT to think. It's just....a lot." She says, looking down to her two digimon.
"You'll get used to it, I think. But that could be my rapidly developing mind playing tricks on me." Kakkinmon says with a toothy grin while Sakuttomon gets used to the prospect of having LEGS.
She flinches a beat as they speak, nodding a bit to feign some kind of agreement or understanding.
When the red dragon returns, she doesn't even have the energy to react to him, only gazing at him as they ask what happened...she looked like she was about to barf.
"T-thanks for everything. Really..." She mutters, closing her eyes. "But soon you won't exist. This is just a dream. No, a nightmare. I just fell asleep as I was on the computer is all. Yeah..." "Hey, that's not very nice Tsumi!" "Yeah, we aren't dreams!"
She can only groan and put her face into her hands.

"You're right, it is a lot," Adrian admitted. "It probably would've been easier to understand if your Digimon were sent to you in the human world like how I first met Shoutmon. But there's so many things here that you just wouldn't get back in Tokyo. Lots of cool and weird Digimon to meet and maybe even become friends with." Adrian looked down at the two in-training Digimon. "Never saw Digimon like these before... wonder what you guys will look like as rookies?"
"We'll only explain what he means by 'rookies' if you ask," Shoutmon added, noticing how much Tsumi looked like she was going to absolutely hurl.
It was then that Tsumi tried to convince herself that this was all a dream, that Adrian, Shoutmon, and her two partners didn't actually exist. Typical response for someone who's idea of a normal life was completely thrown out the window, but convincing herself that this was a dream wasn't going to do her any good. Both Adrian and Shoutmon looked at the girl with sad expressions, wondering what they could possibly do to help...
Adrian snaps his fingers. "Hey, how about we go to the Inn in Rustport, the Chili Pepper Tavern? Digital World food is unlike anything you might've had back home. It's the least we can do after the Scorpiomon, right?"

She takes a few seconds to gain her composure, standing straight and taking a deep breath. "I...wouldn't mind a meal. Alright." She says plainly, picking up the two ball monsters, one in each arm.
"Rookie...?" She says with a defeated expression. It was a lot to process already so she just....shrugs. "I'll figure it out...I don't wanna think much more today." She states as Kakkinmon wiggles a bit. "I can tell you later....maybe." "Yeah, don't ask me."
With that, she just tags along wherever Adrian goes, not wanting to ride in the car while she felt ill like this.
"So...WHERE exactly is the digital world..? Is it like...another planet? Or some weird parallel universe thing?" She eventually asks. "And what am I doing here? What are you doing here?"
She looks to her pack where her digivice sits on a side pocket, frowning. "And one more question, what are these digi-device things really?" "Careful Tsumi! You may overload them! The short guy's already red from overthinking." Sakuttomon jokes with a playful grin, as if picking a fight...
Poor soul doesn't stand a chance.
"Sakuttomon, noooo. I don't wanna fight..."

"Alright, lunch time," Shoutmon happily announced as the group headed into the town of Rustport. It definitely looked like a town set in the desert alright, plenty of buildings around as well as a couple of business buildings. It was reminiscent of a town that you'd see in a western movie, complete with cowboys and shooting duels. Despite that, the town had a very welcoming feel to it.
As they walked, Tsumi asked Adrian exactly where the Digital World was. Was it another planet, or a parallel universe? That was actually a difficult question to answer. "Well if I had to guess, it's definitely more of a parallel universe. Think of it like the planet we know is... overlapped by another plain of existence that humans don't normally see or know about."
"But every so often, a human such as yourself stumbles upon this world one way or another, and then they get an amazing power of their own. They either get paired with a Digimon or two, like you have, lead an army of multiple Digimon that can all fuse together, or they can BECOME Digimon themselves."
"There are a lot of forces in play that not even the Digimon themselves know. And the Digivices... they're basically a human's connection with the Digital World. They can do many things, such as power up your Digimon or heal them up after a big battle. But it's pretty generic to start up with, there are programs that can be added to the Digivice that add more abilities."
The group would then approach the Chili Pepper Tavern, Rustport's local Inn. Walking into the place would feel a lot like walking into a saloon in the Wild West, although here the Digimon currently in the establishment didn't look trigger happy... or at least most of them didn't. The bartender Digimon, a Monodramon, would look at the group with a nice smile as they walked in.

The town was more than enough to make the girl feel a bit less on-edge, while staying a bit confused. She decides to stick to idle chatter to keep herself from overthinking the odd sour look or off detail around them. "So...a whole other world....That's a little hard to believe. And it's all digital? As in....1's and 0's?" She asks with a frown.
"More like HTML...or java." The small shield digimon says with a snicker. "I'm just kidding. Those don't make emotions....C++ probably." "What even are those...?" "I...don't know. I feel like I should."
Tsumi can't help but to giggle at their antics as they hop along beside her into the Chili Pepper Tavern. Her eyes instantly scan the room for, and lock onto, the nicest looking one here....a small purple dragon with admittedly dopey proportions.
She looks to Adrian before approaching said purple dragon. "H-hey!" She says as her two digimon hop up onto any nearby seat. "A meal please....I'm not picky. Anything is fine." "Neither am I!" "Just no sweets..." Her two digimon pitch in after her, both with toothy grins.

Tsumi had a point about a Digital World being hard to believe. "Yeah, it sounds like something from some kids' anime, doesn't it? But it's all real. An entirely separate dimension, filled with all kinds of different types of digital monsters. A Digimon can come in nearly any form, after all."
The two in-training Digimons' conversation was a little bit funny. Digimon almost always had interesting things to say in Adrian's opinion, since their world was so different from what humans were usually comfortable with. Shoutmon was pretty used to the human world these days, but back when the two were still getting to know each other it was fun seeing the red music dragon trying to do something as simple was search the internet.
It seems that the group would be sitting right up at the counter today, it seemed. Tsuki and her Digimon requested just any meal that didn't contain sweets, per Kakkinmon's request. "No sweets? Why?"
"We'll take anything as well," Adrian told the Monodramon. The little dragon Digimon nodded with a smile as he went into the back to let the chef know to cook the recommendation meals.
While they waited, Adrian turned over to look at Tsumi. "Apparently there's been humans involved with Digimon for years now. There's agencies that try to maintain the peace in both worlds as well. A lot about Digimon and the Digital World are still a mystery. But hey, they changed my life for the better. You said your dad went missing, right? Maybe working with your Digimon can help you find him..."

"I've just never been a sweets guy!" Kakkinmon says with a chuckle before he halts abruptly. "Actually...How do I know that? I've never eaten sweets." It then shakes its head in a way that WOULD be shrugging if it had shoulders. "I'm sure it's nothing." "I WANT ALL THE SWEETS! EVERY ONE!" Sakuttomon yells, bouncing on his seat in anticipation.
While her digimon chattered about food and the like as if nothing important was going on, Tsumi bits one of her plain nails and shrugs. "I 'unno." She mutters through her teeth before jut slumping forwards a bit in exhaustion. "Forget about kid anime, I've been thrown face-first into an Isekei. One where I don't start off with godly power and a harem of fantasy monster girls..." "Tsumi, there are some digimon that look like humans! It can still happen." "It's a joke...Kakkinmon." "I knew that."
Tsumi can only roll her eyes before they lock onto Adrien again. "So...if people have known about this already, why isn't it a worldwide known thing? A whole other world would be a huuuge scientific find, wouldn't it?"

"If you've never eaten sweets, how do you know that you won't like it?" Shoutmon asked the Kakkinmon. "I think you should at least have a little something for dessert. Nothing big or massive. Hell, maybe you can have a bite of Adrian's dessert!"
"Why are you offering him mine and not your own?" Adrian asked, taken aback by what his partner just said. "Besides I'm not getting dessert myself. Don't know if this place even serves anything for dessert, really."
Adrian listened to Tsuki as she compared this experience to being thrown into an Isekai, only not having god-like power or a squad of monster girls (which Kakkinmon let Tsuki know exist in the Digital World.) "Who says you don't have power? All Tamers have the power to transfer their energy into their partner Digimon and allow them to become stronger versions of themselves. That's what the Digivice is for, after all."
Then Tsuki asked why the Digital World hasn't become a worldwide phenomenon yet, if there were plenty of people that knew about it already. "Think of it as like an open secret. Some humans are becoming wise to the idea of Digimon, like during that incident that happened that one Golden Week last year. What would you do if you were at home and suddenly the news lady was talking about everything Adrian and I have told you now?"
"Or if you were in Shibuya and two giant monsters came out of nowhere and started fighting. It's all about making sure that people don't panic. Panic leads to disorder, and disorder leads to chaos. That answer your question?"
