Snug as a bug in a rug, that's what she said. Sanoske didn't think her analogy would have been so fitting. And now, the Gazimon found himself quite bound up in webbing. He had little ability to move, but more than anything he was embarrassed. Mind you, he was not in any sort of danger of dire situation. He was merely being carried around on the back of an Arukenimon.
Sanoske was still too injured from the previous day to move much, especially from his impalement wound, and chances are Crystal still needed time to rest. Ghost had to carry them around, seeing no other solution as they still had a digimon to track, and couldn't waste any time. Much to his chagrin, the Ghost digimon had went to her Arukenimon form and wrapped him up in webbing as if he was caught prey for any other spider. She claimed this would keep him from moving much and that webbing was good for covering up wounds.
And now, as she carried the Gazimon (And Crystal should she opt to) through the forest to check out if any nearby villagers seen Pure, he could only hope that he would soon move under his own power. He has some pride, after all. But all of a sudden, he felt somethng... some energy from a very short distance away. Ghost stopped, causing him to assume that she felt it too... but no, she did not need to feel it... she saw it...
"Is... that an egg?" She asked out loud, skittering closer to it. A grey egg adorned with black stripes, and two small, black and purple wing like protrusions on the back of the egg. Judging from the color scheme, the arachnoid digimon could see a less than subtle resemblance to one of her current companions.
"[That egg... is it mine?]"
(((To those who are readung, yes, the egg is supposed to be found that easily. Too easily. Suspiciously easily.)))

Crystal kept a careful eye (and ear) out as she rode next to web bound Gazimon. Right next to her was a makeshift bag of sorts. Crystal had been unusually quiet about what was in the bag, and had only told them that it was something she had found. She knew that they would probably would still be curious about what was in the bag, but knew that the truth would only bring more questions then it would answer. Questions that Crystal didn't feel comfortable answering at this time.
With a tired yawn she took a quick look over at Sanoske. She would of found his situation a little funny if not for how hurt Sanoske was right now. She still felt a little guilty for the events that had happened the other day, believing that if she had done something different, she would have been able to prevent Sanoske from suffering so much pain. That's not to mention the fact that she could hardly believe she had nearly killed him back there. Even though he forgave her, she didn't knew how to really feel about that whole situation.
Crystal thought about this for awhile until Ghost's sudden stop had wrecked her train of thought. As she recovered from the sudden jolt (and making sure that her bag didn't fall of because of it) she heard Ghost and Sanoske mention something about an egg. "Egg?" She asked as she shook her head and looked at what the two were talking about. And sure enough, there was a strange egg right in plain sight.
"What's an egg like that doing in the middle of the jungle." She asked no one in particular as she looked at the egg. It resembled a digitama, but the wings on it told her it was something different.

Ghost had kneeled down before the egg and, hesitating a bit, picked it up. "I don't know, Crystal... anyway... Sanoske, you're feeling something from this egg, right? Judging from the look of it it matches with your colors." With her other arm she brought the bound Gazimon to her front, allowing him to look upon the egg. Indeed... it seemed like it was meant for him... a bit too obviously, even.
"[Yes... I feel some energy from this egg. It's giving me strange... vibes.]"
"Hey, you know what this means? You got one of those weird armor egg thingies! My mistress has two of her own, one of which was given to her as a gift. Strange... don't they normally glow when they're near the digimon it resonates with? And I don't see a symbol anywhere... maybe this is some sort of fake... trap egg?"
"[Hmm... I don't know... who would even give me, specifically, a trapped egg... ]" Sanoske Squirmed a bit in his cocoon. The webbing was beginning to feel a bit tight, and his odd feeling was getting stronger. Ghost noticed his seeming discomfort and raised him up... noticing he felt slightly heavier. "Hey, hey, are you okay? I can chuck this egg away if you want..."
"Garrooo.... [Can you... ugh... get me out of this web? I don't feel... r-right...]"
Suddenly, green, flaming claws had shot out from the lower half of the cocoon, shocking the spider digimon enough to drop Sanoske and the egg, which, upon hitting the ground, dissolved. And once the Gazimon fell on the ground, he cried out in pain as the webbing began to stretch and warp. The Gazimon was not digivolving but... growing. The flaming claws burned away some of the webbing, revealing a yellow armor that produce these claws that were previously not there. But his expanding size took care of the rest of the webs. Not only that, but black tiger-esque stripes started to adorn parts of his body, and two small horns had protruded from his head.
This transformation didn't take more than 15 seconds, but Sanoske was now overall larger. His eyes were redder, and the claws on his forearm armor had disappeared. And as Ghost watched with surprise at not only his transformation, but the lack of an actual digivolution, Sanoske groaned, and said something she was afraid to hear.
"[Ooowww... you... dropped me on my wound...]"

Crystal took note of the egg's colors as Ghost mentioned it. That, along with the fact that Sanoske admitted that he felt some kind of power from the egg, more or less proved there was some sort of connection between the two. Yet that only left more questions then it answered. Why was this egg in the middle of the jungle? Was it only coincidence that they found it, or did it somehow found them?
Something then occurred to Crystal. With Sanoske being an illusion, what were the chances that he have a digimantle that's the same color as him? It just seemed to be too much of a convenience to just be happenstance. No. Crystal believed that there were two likely reasons why the egg was here. One was that it once was suppose to originally belong to Sanoske's creator. The other, and the more worryingly, but less likely of the options, was that the egg was sent here by Sanoske's creator on purpose for a reason she couldn't perceive. Though she would admit that there was also the third option in that she was just over thinking the whole situation and that this could all just merely be a strange coincidence, she still believed it to be unlikely.
Crystal lost her train of thought as she heard Sanoske beginning to state that he didn't feel right. She watched in awe as she began to see green, flaming claws appear from the cacoon. This seemed to have shocked Ghost as she then dropped both Sanoske and the egg. "Sanoske!" Crystal cried out in concern as she quickly hopped off of Ghost and went to the Gazimon's aid. By the time she got there, she saw the last few seconds of his transformation.
Crystal flinched slightly as she heard Sanoske groan that Ghost had dropped him on his wound. She didn't seemed all that effected by Sanoske's transformation at the time as she was more concern about his health. "Do you need any help?" She asked worried that his wound might get worse because of his fall and/or sudden transformation. It was times like these that she wished she was stronger so that she would be able pick him up like he would if she was the injured one. Yet all she really could do was stand there and hope she could help him with something.
On a side note however, she did notice that the mysterious egg has seemingly disappeared. Yet it didn't take much for her to guess that it was what caused Sanoske's transformation in the first place.

"I'm so sorry, Sanoske! I-I got spooked! And I generally don't get spooked! Please forgive me! I didn't mean to drop you! Do you need any help!" Ghost's tone was apologetic and panicked, unlike the merely worried Crystal. But he just raised his paw up to halt them. "[No... I'll be fine. No more webbing, please...]"
Sanoske needed a bit of time too evaluate himself and see the changes of his body, all the while removing some of the webbing still stuck on him. Firstly, realized he could move under his own power now. He was still sore and injured, and still needed to tend to the spot in which he was impaled, but the egg healed him a bit. He left the webbing there, even pressing a bit on it to make sure it didn't fall off, although he winced as he did so. This also meant that the makeshift bandages Crystal made were torn off... he felt a little saddened that he basically ruined her work as she tended to him... it was better than being wrapped up, at least.
He then noticed his physical changes. His size didn't feel much different than before, but he was still larger. Roughly 10 feet if he stood up, he was now too large for Ghost's Arukenimon to easily carry him (although she was still the tallest in her current form). But now... Crystal seemed so small. He was afraid of potentially squishing her... how bad would he feel if he did so. With his size also came more power. He saw his yellow gauntlets, and then his stripes, which seemed to concern him. This concern grew as he felt the small horns atop his head.
"[Now I look... more like my creator.]" The Gazimon looked disappointed. As much as he wanted to be his own 'Mon, he was gaining features to be more like the one he wanted to set himself apart from. But Ghost was curious. Intrigued, even.
"No... I can't believe it..." To Ghost, these clues were falling together to solve a puzzle she didn't even know about. The appearance, the growling speech, the reference to his "creator"... she thought it was coincidence before, but with her curiosity piqued she just had to know... "Sanoske, Is your master... Byakko?" The Gazimon glared at her. "[Don't say that name! He's not my master!]" Compared to the restaurant, this outburst was less intense, but he was still unhappy with hearing that name. Ghost seems to be hitting all the sore spots. But Sanoske quickly calmed down, "[Please... don't say his name. I'm guessing you know... of him?]"
"You didn't tell me you were a familiar! And one made by... him who shall not be named for some reason but it's your reason so I won't pry. I... oh man... this is so weird! I don't know why you don't like your creator... but my Mistress has read his research and knows of his exploits. He's the reason I even exist now!"

As Crystal quickly look Sanoske over, she took notice that he her wrappings around him have been destroyed by his growth. Crystal was sad to see her work ruined like that, but was also glad to see that his wounds did heal a bit. Hopefully that meant he won't be needing the wrapping covering his wound anymore.
Speaking about his growth, Crystal notice quite quickly how much bigger Sanoske actually was. While he was much taller then her before, she never felt tiny when compared to him until now. It actually scared her a bit on how big he had suddenly become. He could probably squish her without even thinking about it.
As the Gazimon commented on his looks resembling his creator, it turned out that Ghost knew who he was talking about. Crystal tried her best to signal Ghost to not talk about that subject, but she didn't knew if Ghost was able to see her because of her small size. Fortunately though, Sanoske didn't freak out as badly as he did when they were at the restaurant. He just told Ghost to not speak Byakko's name before calming down and asking that she knew him.
Crystal continued to listen as Ghost said that her Mistress had created her using Byakko's research, or at least that's what she assumed. It was still kind of a hard subject to completely wrap her head around. Though it seems this meant that there was more in common between Ghost and Sanoske then Crystal had originally thought.
...
Why did she feel kind of negative about that?

Sanoske sat down as him and Ghost spoke. His appearance aside, he looked indifferent towards the event. He only vaguely remembered when he got his wings, when he was a less developed projection. But he barely remembered anything before that. Still, this was somewhat interesting, seeing how Ghost was a familiar like him. Although from the looks of things *was* might be closer to the truth in his eyes... perhaps there was hope for him? Probably not, but he was here to aid Crystal, not for his own means.
"~~So, you are a familiar as well.~~"
Unlike him, Ghost was eager to have met another familiar. "Yuppers! I was once a mere extension of my Mistress' mind, but over time I gained my own personality and will." She then paused, rubbing her arm and looking down a bit, recalling a certain time in her past. "Then one day my mistress kinda... almost died. Well, she did die, but I was enough of my own entity to take in most of her data before she dissapated. It was when she sacrificed herself to destroy the Hylden that took over her mate. She did reform, thanks to my actions, and it's how I came to have these other abilities. E-even if I did survive and she did die... gosh, I wouldn't know what to do without my mistress..."
Almost as if she realized she spoke too much, she chuckled. "S-sorry... I guess I got too into the fact that I met another familiar, hahahaha... don't tell anyone, though... kinda private information. But she gave me my life and I saved hers. So in the end we're equal."
"~~Equal... and she still is your 'Mistress'?~~" Sanoske interjected. The spider digimon was taken aback by the comment. Despite him growling it out with any obvious disrespect, Ghost already caught on that he didn't like his own creator. It wasn't such a large leap to assume he had his worries about Beverly. "R-really, I say it out of respect, Sanoske. She has even told me to stop before but I insisted."
The Gazimon sighed and looked to Ghost. "~~I must apologize... I'll be perfectly blunt... I'm confused about aspects of my life... and jealous of you, Ghost.

Crystal honestly felt a little awkward as she listened to Sanoske and Ghost talk. It was obvious that this conversation had nothing to do with her, and she just felt like a third wheel right now. In fact, she didn't even know if they were even aware of her presence anymore. So did that mean she should just give them some privacy to sort things out?
She did overhear something of note however. It seemed that in order to rid her love one of the Hylden that possessed him, Ghost's mistress had to sacrifice her own life. A choice that Crystal understood all too well. What did this info mean for her and Pure though? Would she have to sacrifice her own life to save his? Would she even be willing to go through such a course of action if it came to it? These questions and more weighed heavily on Crystal's mind as she knew that such an event may occur.
Pure's freedom, or her own life? Was she honestly even capable of making such a choice?

(((Hey, Crystal could have jumped in at any time.)))
Sanoske pondered over the info Ghost gave. Sure, it was her own experiences, but it did confirm what already knew about his master. But, now he wasn't sure how he should feel towards his maker. Ghost adored her Mistress, but Sanoske dispised his creator.
No, not quite dispised. Usually he was weary of him based on his past. But he only had access to most of Byakko's memories... not so much his reasons. Even Byakko's full intentions were not known to him. At the moment there was no way he could know. But he did know one thing...
"~~This egg... it's from him. I don't know why he would send this to me. I'm just a projection. I'm meant to be him, but I want to be me. I don't want to hear that name for that reason. It undermines my will hearing that name... it saps me."~~
He looked at Crystal, seemingly left out. He started to really dislike his new stature, thinking back on times Crystal spoke to him or leaned on him. How they could see eye to eye more easily. How, when she leaned on him, he enjoyed her warmth. He hated to look down on her. Abhored... loathed it even.
"~~You're not insignificant... you're the largest part of my life. No matter how small you'll seem I'll still love you. I'll never look down on you, not like he would. He was... frustrated with others. Almost a misanthrope. I can't be like that... I refuse to be like that. It's you who helped me most to maintain my sense of self, and you saved me twice. No... I'll always refuse to see you as anything 'less'.~~"
Perhaps it was obvious to Crystal that part of what he said was meant to comfirm and to prove to himself how he felt about her. But there was something he said even he didn't realize came out of his mouth.

Crystal just blinked. Did Sanoske just say what she thought he said? She looked over towards Ghost as if to confirm what she had heard before looking back towards Sanoske. She honestly didn't knew how to respond. Did Sanoske even realize what he said?
That's not to say what he just said was bad. She was happy to see that he recognized her dilemma with his recent change without her even needing to say a word. Yet it was also obvious to her what exactly Sanoske was trying to say to her and it was that that had her so dumbfounded.
A few seconds of silence passed since Sanoske's 'confession' before Crystal finally spoke. "Sanoske... You... Love me?" Crystal asked as she needed to make sure she understood what exactly Sanoske was saying. If not... Well... That question was going to be a little embarrassing.

Ghost looked at the two, also surprised at this odd confession. Sanoske looked at them back, wondering if he said anything wrong. But just as he realized what happened, Crystal confirmed it. He said he loved her. The Arukenimon decided that perhaps she would remain silent, at least for now. This was admittedly kind of cute, and she would never forgive herself if she ruined the moment for these two.
The Gazimon looked embarrassingly down at his hands and the ground. He collected his thoughts, trying to make sense of this as his mind raced. "~I must say this... this egg is... confusing to me in it's nature. It's given me power... stature... and maybe even some reasoning. My creator... he had little love towards most other digimon. He was not outright antagonistic but... as you may already know, Ghost, his actions led him to be imprisoned, made comatose in stasis. He knew his creations could potentially obtain a semblance of free will. It was not something he wanted, and that inadvertently led to his downfall as well. Going as far as to destroy some of his own creations, which others have... misinterpreted.
But this egg was given to me. I cannot comprehend why, and in fact it makes me question other things about my relationship between me and... him. At first I just wanted to be Sanoske... but the more I want to do that now, the more I see myself potentially being like him.~"
His arm raised up, and in between the three of them was an illusion. It was as if they were simply looking at that a spot that was actually elsewhere. It was when Sanoske first met Crystal and Pure in the snowy mountains. This illusion had not only them, but the snow and the trickle of snowflakes. The scene was transparent, almost hologram-esque. They were moving in place... this was when the Gazimon had told them about what he was. The Arukenimon looked on with awe, although still uncertain towards Sanoske's desire to be apart from his master. She did not get it, but she kept silent still.
"~I admit, this power frightens me. But it has made at least one thing clear.
Crystal, I do love you. I've always loved you, since since you've shown me concern. Before, I was largely reactive to others. But since you've given me concern I reacted in like. But over the relatively short time I've known you, I look back and see that I tried to give concern towards you, not in response, but proactively. And it wasn't until now that I realize I've had feelings for you.
I know I have my faults and problems. Forgive me that a part of me is doing this to prove to myself that I am Sanoske and not my creator, but I still wish to help you out. To help Pure out. So I know that you and him aren't insignificant. To show that I care for you.
I... hope that made sense... I don't think I've ever spoke this much at one time, ever... I feel like a wind bag...~"

Crystal listened to Sanoske as he spoke about the egg and his master. She didn't knew exactly what it had to do with what he had just said, but understood that it was important that he said. It was obvious that he feared becoming his Creator. Becoming someone other then himself.
Sanoske then created a strange illusion that revealed the faithful day she and her brother had met Sanoske. She didn't knew how he was able to do such a thing, but believed it was probably an ability he gained from the egg. She had to admit that it brought back memories. If not for Sanoske, they would have probably never found the village, and the events that led them to traveling together would have never have happened.
And then, Sanoske had finally said. Any doubts in her mind were quickly as she now knew for certain what he meant. He loved her, and there was no denying that. Yet the question now was did she share the same feelings with him.
Crystal took a couple of seconds to collect her thoughts. She knew her answer already, she had known it since the events from yesterday. She just never expected that she would admit to them this soon though. It was made all the harder by Ghost being right there. After the whole thing with her calling them lovebirds, she knew Ghost was going to have a field day with this.
Crystal took a deep breath as she looked up at Sanoske. This was made all the more awkward by the fact that she had strain her head to look Sanoske in the face, but here goes nothing. "Don't worry. It made sense Sanoske. I understand exactly what you meant.
"Yesterday, when I saw you were about to be killed, something had took over me. Then when I was about to... you know... I believe it was that same something that had stopped me. It was only until later that day once I had dressed you wounds that and had time to think that I understood what that something was.
"I couldn't see my life without you Sanoske. I know it may sound corny, but it's true. During this whole Pure thing, you have shown me nothing, but compassion and understanding. You have given me joy and comfort when all I could feel was guilt and depression. I wouldn't be standing here now if it wasn't for your efforts to keep me going even when I have given up.
"So Sanoske, I guess what I'm trying to say here is that I... I love you too." She finally admitted, her voice betraying her nervousness about this. She then took a deep breath, and decided to try again, "I love you Sanoske, faults and all. And I don't care if one of the reasons you care about is so you can stay you, because I want you to remain being you too." She said again, this time with a lot more confidence before she went up to him in an attempt to embrace him. Though with their size difference now, she feared that it would sadly be impossible for them now.

It was nice to get all that off of his chest. Not only his feelings for her, but why he felt his need to remain seperate from creator. He had to, he believed, for her to more understand his position and reasoning. And to build up what the egg has done for him. Once he finished, he listened to Crystal.
Her profession of her own love gave him a warm feeling. Like when she would lean on him, he somewhat attributed that warmth to the Lopmon by this time. Despite all that has happened he knew he would not have a life without Crystal as well. She loved him back, and he was happy. It gave his existence that special meaning that was now compounded with this mutual love.
When she went it to embrace him, he gently picked her up and slowly hugged her. It was almost like one hugging a doll of some sort due to their sizes. And while he did try to be gentle, not harming or smothering her into him, his embrace was no weak hug.
"~Thank you, Crystal. Heh... I can still feel your warmth, even at this size.~" A few moments more, and he would set the Lopmon back down, just as gently. But now Sanoske remembered that Ghost was watching. For a few moments, his focus was so on Crystal that he forgot that spider was there. He looked at her, still in the same place, and until now, haven't said anything.
"What, did you expect me to ruin such a lovely moment of bonding between two lovers? I like to tease, but I... like watching this sort of thing. I think it's wonderful and I really would hate to miss something like this.
Despite all that, I do need to bring you two back down from the clouds and remind you that we still need to keep going. Are you okay to walk, Sanoske?"
She was right, they still had to find Pure as soon as they could. His body was still sore, and he made sure he still had that bit of webbing over his puncture wound, but he could move. With that, he got on all fours and lowered his head, waiting for Crystal to get on. As he did so, he replied to the spider digimon, "~I'll be fine as long as I don't get into another fight so soon. Even better if I'm not webbed up again.~"
Once she got on, Ghost and Sanoske would move on ahead. The Gazimon was in good spirits, though, and even smiled a bit.

As Crystal hugged Sanoske, her face turned red as the realization of what she had admitted just set in. It was a bit hard for her to believe that she just said all that. That's not to say she didn't mean it. Just with everything that has happened recently, she never believed she would have admitted her love. Especially not so soon after realizing her own feelings for the illusion Gazimon.
As Crystal was set back down, she looked over at Ghost. It was nice that Ghost allowed them to have there moment, but Crystal wasn't looking forward to the teasing that was surely to follow. It was never fun being on the opposite end of such a thing. Though, now that she thought about it, she could probably turn it around if she wanted. She just needed to make sure that Sanoske knows whats going on.
Anyways, with there little moment having come and gone, they needed to move on. Sanoske seemed to be in better health now as he informed the others that he'll be fine as long as he doesn't get into another fight or get webbed. He then went on to offer Crystal a ride. She moved to take him up on his offer, but stopped as she remember something real quick. She then quickly grabbed her before climbing onto his back.
"If Ghost starts teasing us, just follow my lead." She told the Gazimon in a low whisper so that only he would hear. Then with that out of the way, they were off.
[End]
