Out in the desert not far from Rustport and the corresponding Trailmon Station two odd looking representatives of their respective species were walking in the desert. They were twin brothers. One was a curious Cutemon with scales covering his body instead of fur, a tail that resembled a typical Shoutmon tail in shape but pink like the rest of him, and blue eyes. The most curious thing about this Cutemon was he had a short two inch red mohawk and it appeared to be the only hint of hair on his body.
His twin, though odd, was less curious to some as he was a Shoutmon covered in red and white fur and like other Shoutmon he was carrying a microphone in his paws. "Hiroshi, is this place good enough? I don't smell or see anyone out here." the fluffy Shoutmon said impatiently to his twin, Hiroshi.
The Cutemon rolled his eyes at his twin brother's impatience before he turned to face him and said "It should be Leroy. I don't hear anyone who will get in the way of our sparring session."
Feeling eager Leroy twitched as he set down his microphone by stabbing it into the sand before readying for the sparring session. "Then let's see if you're still any good at this since all you've been doing is playing diplomat lately." With that the two leapt at each other punching and kicking not using any of their special attacks.

As they sparred, the two brothers would find their match interrupted by a Kokuwamon X unceremoniously crashing into the sand next to them. "Ow."
Five minutes earlier...
"Remind me again why you dragged us both out here, Tartar? We've been out here for an hour." Octavio grumbled. Even with the protection of an EV suit, the desert heat was not exactly pleasant for the aquatic Digimon. As a result, the ShogunOctomon's temper was on a short fuse at the moment.
"This experiment is one that would not be feasible without your assistance, General." Tartar replied, not even looking at Octavio as he entered data on a datapad.
"What kind of experiment even is this?" Octavio irritably said.
"An experiment to see how long an aquatic Digimon like yourself can survive in a desert with an EV suit." Tartar smugly replied.
"Are you freaking kidding me." Octavio deadpanned. "That's why we're here?!"
Tartar turned to Octavio and said, "Let me make this clear. I absolutely hate you with every circuit and line of code in my very being. I take great pleasure in messing with you just to piss. You. Off."
The Kokuwamon X had not time to react before the enraged Octavio hit him with his wasabi sticks and sent him flying like a baseball.
"Would you look at that? A home run."

To say Leroy was startled by the sudden appearance and crash landing of a Kokuwamon X was an understatement but he had managed to duck a punch thrown by his twin before scrambling for his microphone pulling it easily out of the sand and was now fully combat ready. "Who the hell do you think you are?" Leroy snarled at Tartar holding his staff in front of him defensively definitely ready for a real fight.
Meanwhile Hiroshi was also startled but he was much calmer than his twin as he approached the stranger carefully. "Hiroshi, what are you doing? Have you lost your mind?" Leroy yelled his voice sounding incredulous but not yet losing it's anger.
Used to his twin's hotheadedness and anger, Hiroshi calmly said "This Kokuwamon X crashed, Leroy. He may be injured." Though Leroy didn't drop his guard he said nothing more as Hiroshi came up carefully to Tartar before he said "Are you injured? If so I can heal you if you let me."
Unknown to everyone, while all this was going on a Ponchomon was gathering his forces as he wanted to keep his newly acquired territory and not even mere rookies would be welcome there when he was ready as he planned to be downloading their data soon.

Tartar just gave the Shoutmon a deadpan stare as he pulled himself out of the crater he made in the sand. "I ca-can assure you that I-I-I had no inten-tention of causing-ing-ing trouble with y-you."
If he was capable of it, Tartar would've frowned at his stutter. It seems that Octavio must have hit the Kokuwamon x harder than Tartar thought he had. Trying to clear up the stutter, Tartar smacked his chest a couple of times. "Hm, it s-s-seems that that impact must have kn-kn-knocked something loose. As m-m-much as I hate t-t-to admit it, s-s-some assistance may be n-n-necessary for repair-r-rs."
"Tartar!!!" an angry voice could be heard screaming in the distance, as a small cloud of dust could be seen heading towards the trio. Close inspection would reveal an angry Octavio traveling as quickly as his tentacles would allow.
"Oh, crap." Tartar said, an actual hint of fear in the Kokuwamon's voice for the first time in his life.

When it was established that the stranger wasn't a threat Leroy lowered his microphone and asked "Let me guess you didn't crash on purpose?" He had an annoyed look at the stranger but no longer looked hostile as the Kokuwamon X explained that he was damaged. "Hiroshi, would the healing ability we share in common even work on him anyway?"
"It should since, despite being a machine, he is still a digimon like us." Hiroshi said to his twin as he moved closer to the Kokuwamon X and asked "Would it be alright if I try to heal you?"
Before anyone could say anything an angry voice sounded causing the twins to look in the direction of the sound as an angry octopus digimon came their way as fast as he could. While Kokuwamon X, now known as Tartar, looked afraid Leroy smirked as he readied himself for a potential fight. "An octopus in the desert? Never thought I'd see such a sight." Leroy said his voice full of cockiness as he then said to Tartar "Why are you afraid? He doesn't look so scary to me. Shoutmon armor digi.."
"Leroy stop it!" Hiroshi yelled causing Leroy to stop the armor digivolution process and rolled his eyes at his Cutemon twin. Hiroshi ignored Leroy as he carefully approached the octopus digimon and said "Is there something this Kokuwamon X has done to offend you?"

"Do y-y-you actually go out of your way to antagon-n-nize everyone you meet?" Tartar asked the Shoutmon. After frowning at his vocal unit's continued stutter, Tartar gave himself a hard smack to his torso. "There we go. That should suffice for now. Even in a harsh environment like this, Octavio is not someone to take lightly. I... admit that I brought this upon myself, however reluctantly."
"Offend me? That bucket of bolts literally told me that he literally dragged us both out here just to piss me off and watch me suffer in this heat. Even if this is a poor environment for me, I'm still gonna kick his can for his insubordination." Octavio said in reply to the Cutemon's question, glared at the Kokuwamon X as he approached. Turning to the Shoutmon, he said, "You, Shoutmon. Your hotheadedness is only gonna get you in trouble if you don't keep it in check. Even if you can armor digivolve, that doesn't really mean much if you try to pick a fight with a Xros General who can Xros to the equivalent of an Armor Ultimate form."

When asked by Tartar if he went out of way to antagonize everyone he met, Leroy shrugged and said "Not always. Most of the time the other guy starts it first."
After one more smack to his torso, Tartar's stutter seemed to cease and, though concerned, Hiroshi didn't push it. If someone didn't want help, they didn't want help. As for the unknown octopus digimon, Hiroshi looked between Tartar and Octavio before he calmly said "No offense, stranger, but if this Tartar as you called him, is so much trouble why would you be working with him?" Glancing briefly at his twin Leroy, who seemed to be fiddling with his microphone seemingly not threatened by the Octavio's words, before looking back at Octavio and said "Do forgive my twin brother, Leroy. He may be a hothead but he isn't a bad digimon. As for myself, my name is Hiroshi. What is your name? It sure is odd to see a digimon as a Xros General and, no offense, but if you can form a X3 form why are do you only seem to have one subordinate when a X3 needs three digimon. Are they in your Xros Loader or something?"
Unknown to the group Ponchomon and his underlings were close to them and waiting for the moment to strike. Ponchomon would make them regret entering his territory.

"Well, you certainly went out of your way to antagonize us, considering we have done nothing to you or your twin." Tartar grumbled, as one of his arms ended up falling off. He reattached it, but he did get an idea for how such a feature could be used in the future. A thought to file away for a later date.
"Well, you're both right and wrong, Hiroshi." Octavio said with a chuckle. "I have two other subordinates right now, my daughter Cecilia and a Ballistamon named Soundblaster, but they didn't accompany us on this trip. The two of us that are here, though, can do a partial X3 manifestation with a stabilizer program. Not as good as a true X3 form, but it'll do until we can fix up my Xros Loader enough for it to handle a proper X3 Xros."
Octavio tapped at his chin with a wasabi stick for a moment before continuing on. "As for your other question, the reason I work with this jerk is that he needs a babysitter to keep him from creating some kind of apocalyptic super virus or something. Last thing we need right now is another D-Reaper-level incident."
Neither of the two were aware of the Ponchomon and his underlings that were waitingto strike.

"Well you did startle me by crashing near my brother and I, so what were you expecting?" Leroy muttered before he began swinging his microphone around in a bored manner. He was now much mellower but Hiroshi knew that his twin's chaotic nature could spring forth anytime.
After hearing about Octavio's daughter and a Ballistamon named Soundblaster Hiroshi was glad he stopped Leroy from picking a fight since the only digivolution's like champion that the brothers achieved was armor champion forms as well as the DNA champion of CuteShoutmon. "The only family we have that were aware of is each other. It must be nice that you get to travel with your daughter though."
As Octavio mentioned his reason for working with Tartar, Hiroshi chuckled before he said "I thought Leroy was a hard babysitting job given how chaotic he can be. Hard to believe when we were babies he used to be shy and quiet before becoming the loud chaotic being he is now."
Ponchomon smirked. Now was the time to strike. He waved an arm indicating the moment to strike before the four Goblimon he brought with him charged with Ponchomon moving stealthily around to strike from behind. Suddenly Hiroshi's ears wiggled as he uttered two words then put Leroy on instant alert again. "Uh Oh."

"Heh, Cecilia's my pride and joy. For so long, I thought I'd lost her like I lost her mother. I'm just glad she knows how to take care of herself." Octavio said fondly. Heck, there was a good chance he'd hand over leadership of the Xros Army to her one day. Hiroshi's exclamation also alerted Octavio and Tartar that something was up, and Octavio scanned the surroundings and saw the four Goblimon charging at them. "Red alert, men! We've got enemies incoming! Tartar! DigiXros!" Tartar nodded in agreement as the two DigiXrosed to ShogunOctomon X2. Atop his floating bucket-like platform, ShogunOctomonX2 crossed his front two tentacles as he glared at the Goblimon. "Hm. Bunch of rowdy punks interrupting our conversation. I guess we'll have to teach you some manners."The DigiXros simply waited until the Goblimon got close to him before unleashing his Hypno-beats attack. Any Goblimon caught in it's radius would be forced to dance uncontrollably. "If you kids can armor digivolve, I'd recommend doing so and taking your shot at these punks! My beats can only stall them for so long!
Hypno-Beats: Octavio plays a catchy tune that forces foes ina 12.5m radius to dance, preventing them from attacking for 1 post. 3 post cooldown. Duration: 0/1

The four Goblimon coming at them were not much of a problem when Octavio and Tartar became ShogunOctomon X2. The X2 digimon was riding on a floating platform and launched his Hypno Beats attack at the oncoming rowdy rookies. The attack caused the four Goblimon to begin dancing much to the frustration and confusion of the little ogres.
As ShogunOctomon X2 suggested the twins armor digivolve Leroy launched himself at the Goblimon whooping and swinging his microphone the suggestion to armor digivolve seemingly ignored as he leapt into the mess of dancing rookies swinging his microphone around like a baseball bat.
"Damn it. Leroy!" Hiroshi yelled out to his twin only to be ignored in the chaos exacerbated by his impulsive twin. A faint hint of a maraca caught his attention just in time to avoid being clobbered by the Ponchomon's fist by diving to the ground and rolling before springing to his feet.
Ponchomon stared at the unusual Cutemon before him and said "A Cutemon with scales. You are quite the odd sight. Not that I care since you intruders will pay for invading my territory."

"Or you can just do that, I suppose." ShogunOctomon X2 said, facepalming with a tentacle at the sight of Leroy charging like a maniac while swinging his mike like a bat. Times like this made him glad that Cecilia wasn't nearly this impulsive in a fight. He did catch sight of Hiroshi dodging the Ponchomon that took a swing at him.
"Oh, so you're the one leading this gaggle of morons, eh? Alright, change of plan, men. You two handle the small fry, while I handle the floating cactus. Time to test out how well this stabilizer works. ShogunOctomon X2 partial DigiXros to ShogunOctomon PX3!" As he said this, the Xros Digimon had a pair of Ballistamon-like arms with brass knuckles manifest on the sides of the flying platform. The arms were transparent, like colored glass over a wireframe, but were very much solid enough to use.
ShogunOctomon PX3 cracked his knuckles as he flashed a smug look at the Ponchomon. "How about you pick on someone your own size?"

ShogunOctomon X2 activated his incomplete X3 evolution becoming a digimon called ShogunOctomon PX3. He had transparent arms of what looked like a Ballistamon but the color scheme was different so Hiroshi was able to gather that the Ballistamon in his ranks was quite the special one indeed.
As for Leroy the Goblimon had grabbed him and the furry Shoutmon had gotten buried in the mass of green. Yet it seemed both twins were of the same mind as a fireball appeared in their palms before they both shouted "Fiery Fastball!"
While Hiroshi's Fiery Fastball was lobbed into the pile not far from the standoff between ShogunOctomon PX3 and Ponchomon, Leroy's was much closer but both of them had the desired effect as the Goblimon scrambled away from Leroy while trying to put the fire on their bodies out. Their screams of pain made Ponchomon grumble "Idiots. I thought they knew better than to smother a dragon."
Leroy approached Ponchomon and said "Looks like you need more competent help, Ponchomon."
"Uh Leroy." Hiroshi said pointing toward the scrambling and howling Goblimon. Looking where his twin indicated Leroy merely smirked as it seemed one of the little ogres had digivolved into an Ogremon and was stomping their way.
Spotting the maracas at Ponchomon's waist, Leroy's smirk became devilish as he then said "I think I have an idea."
Seeing the devilish smirk on his twin's face Hiroshi knew his brother was up to something. While a horrible strategist the furry Shoutmon was a chaotic element and his true chaotic nature had finally reared forth. Backing up and covering his ears with both his paws and the headphones typically found on a Cutemon's head he knew what his brother was hatching. While his singing voice was not an attack it very well should of been seeing how bad it was and to make things worse he was holding his microphone in front of his face intentions clear. "ShogunOctomon PX3 if you value your hearing you will cover your ears. Leroy's inner chaotic nature has sprung forth." Hiroshi said hoping ShogunOctomon PX3 would take his suggestion as Leroy began singing something in Japanese maybe but it was hard to distinguish as anything else but intensely painful noise as the enemies were clutching their heads and howling out screams akin to torture but the screams were drowned out in the cacophony caused by Leroy.
OOC:
Hiroshi and Leroy use Fiery Fastball.
Fiery Fast Ball: Creates a ball of fire in his hand before he throws it.
Leroy takes advantage of his horrendous singing voice to basically torture the enemies.

ShogunOctomon could only laugh at the stupidity of the Goblimons as they ended up being set on fire after dogpiling Leroy, although one of the goblins was at least smart enough to digivolve to Ogremon.
While Ponchomon was distracted by his minions being set on fire by the twins, ShogunOCtomon PX3 aimed to take advantage of the opening by unleashing a Sting Ray directly at the sombrero-wearing cactus Digimon. "How do you like them apples, you overgrown pincushion?"
ShogunOctomon PX3 nodded in gratitude at Hiroshi's warning to cover his ears. Once again, Octavio was glad he had so many limbs, as ShogunOctomon PX3 wasn't hindered in the slightest as the octopus pilot used two of his eight tentacles to cover his earholes before Leroy unleashed his horrendous singing. "Ugh, remind me to never invite that kid to Karaoke Night. Although Cecilia's singing was a LOT louder when she was younger."

Ponchomon tried to regain some measure of control but ShogunOctomon PX3 fired a beam of concussive force launching him onto his back. As he was getting up the furry Shoutmon called Leroy had begun singing but it sounded more like intense torture causing Ponchomon to grow angry and bringing out his two maracas while wincing in pain before bringing them together and the two maracas became one massive maraca that he swung like a baseball bat towards Leroy catching the furry dragon in the side of the face sending Leroy flying and into Ogremon. Ogremon stumbled back in surprise as the wind was briefly knocked out of him. "Noisy little pest. Guess he couldn't stand up to my Cactus Bat attack."
Hiroshi scrambled towards his twin recovering Leroy's microphone. The remaining three Goblimon grabbed ahold of the scaly Cutemon stopping him from helping out his twin. Ogremon had then recovered his wits and moved in to finish off Leroy who was just sitting up. Ogremon swung his club before attempting to bring it down upon Leroy but not only Leroy began to glow with the light of digivolution but Hiroshi had to causing the three Goblimon and the Ogremon to shield their eyes from the intense light.
"Cutemon digivolve to...Turuiemon!"
"Shoutmon digivolve to...Dinohumon!"
When the light faded Hiroshi and Leroy were standing there in their champion forms. Leroy looked like most Dinohumon except for being covered in fur which was likely not all that surprising seeing as he was furry as a Shoutmon. Hiroshi, on the other hand, was quite different in appearance compared to other Turuiemon. Instead of the typical purple and white fur the species was known for he was covered in the familiar pink scales from his rookie form. His clothing was slightly different to as he wore a red outfit to match his gloves instead of the typical orange one and his shoes were a matching blue like the scarf he wore.
OOC:
Cactus Bat: Ponchomon brings his twin maracas together and they transform into one large one which he wields like a baseball bat swinging it at a foe.
