The relative tranquility of Shibuya would soon find itself broken as a figure emerged from the hidden portal located near the trash-infested "river". The black, humanoid figure was draped in a blue cloak and had a white bone mask covering his head, with two yellow eyes visible on the right side of his face. This was Voidmon, an Ultimate-level Digimon who has traveled to the Human World to try and escape the on who is currently pursuing him. The knight-like Digimon was visibly wounded, as the bounty hunter chasing him has proven to be a difficult opponent. As Voidmon dashed into the city to hide, the bounty hunter soon came through the portal and revealed himself as a Baalmon. The Baalmon would kneel down to examine a puddle of ink-like fluid that had dripped from the Voidmon's injuries. " You're not going to escape me that easily. Especially with a bounty as high as yours, my friend. Someone must really want you dead."
After a great deal of running, Voidmon would duck into an alleyway in order to hide and try to catch his breath. In his current condition, the strange Digimon was in no shape to defend himself, to the point he was forced to use his sword as a makeshift cane to support his weight. |

"N-No way," Johan gasped from the main floor of AEGIS HQ as he was looking at a digital map of the area, standing up from his chair as the notifications appeared on screen. "Two Ultimate levels just entered the city at once!"
"I've never seen something like this happen before," Zero said as he did his thing, hacking into local security cameras to get a better view of what was going on. "It doesn't look good. If I had to guess, it's going to be a continuation of some kind of battle that took place in the Digital World."
"So there will potentially be two targets," Dokamon said as he stood next to Johan, crossing his arms. "Johan and I will go down to the area with Speed and Psych on standby, try to see if we can prevent any further violence."
"Right," Johan said with a nod before he and Dokamon ran out of the building. "Zero, you stay here and be our eyes in the sky!"
With Dokamon inside of the V-Pet, Johan would fly down to the area that the signals popped up on with his hoverboots. It wouldn't take long to spot at least one of the Digimon that entered into the human world, considering that the guy was tall and looked as if he came out of a shonen anime. Speed and Psych would be elsewhere in the immediate area, wearing holosuits just in case they needed to jump in or potentially save some civilians. Johan had to play this so that the least amount of damage as possible is caused...
"You're a long way from home you know," Johan said, landing somewhere close to the Baalmon. "One could say you're a world away from home. Johan Walker of AEGIS," Johan would say upon holding up his badge. He looked official too, with his cyan blue tie, black trench coat, dark grey shirt, pants and black boots. Even a black leather glove on his left hand. "I just want to know your business here in our world, see if you could potentially be a threat. And I know you are not alone."

"So you know what I am? Interesting, but ultimately unimportant. My business doesn't concern you." Baalmon said indifferently as he took in the human male that had approached him. "I'm just here to collect a bounty, and my target just happened to run here to hide. Just stay out of my way while I do my job, and there shouldn't be any trouble."
The Baalmon would pull out a wanted poster with the Voidmon's face plastered on it, offering a rather hefty reward for his head. "Someone wants this guy dead, and I'm just here to collect. After that, I'll be out of your hair and go home. Does that sound fair to you?"
In the alleyway, Voidmon would begin getting to work on trying to treat his injuries by tearing strips from his cloak and using them as makeshift bandages as he bandaged up the wounds he received from the Baalmon. Once that was done, Voidmon sat down to try and rest for a moment and plan his next move.

"Not all of us humans are unaware of Digimon," Johan responded, standing his ground. The Baalmon explained that he was chasing a bounty and that his target just so happened to escape to this Digital World to hide. Johan's eyes widened in response... so this Digimon was a bounty hunter of some kind? Or an assassin?
Baalmon would then pull out a wanted poster with the Digimon's face on it. Johan had never seen any Digimon like it before... it almost reminded him of one of those video game characters that he had heard about at some point from one of his friends. The reward was pretty big too... just what did this Digimon do to deserve something like that?
"I don't know..." Johan said, crossing his arms. "I never really believed in the ethics of bounty hunting. I'm of the belief that one who has done wrong - human or Digimon - should be put on trial for their misdeeds, not murdering them for it. Besides, I cannot allow you to start a fight here in Shibuya." Johan pulled back his glove in order to retrieve his Digivice. "I would very much prefer not to, but we will use force to stop you from fighting here if we have to."
I believe I sense a second presence, Psych "told" his brother Speed while the two were waiting not too far away from Johan and Baalmon. And if my sensing is accurate... they're in an alleyway not too far from here. I'll send you the location image, Speed. Please go investigate while I keep watch here.
"Got it, bro," Speed said before receiving the visual location. Deactivating his holosuit, Speed would quickly move towards that direction - though hopefully in a way that Johan and Baalmon wouldn't notice. Speed would soon find himself in an alleyway and was now face to face with another Digimon... one that looked like a cross between a bug knight and some sorta skeleton. Before this Digimon could react, Speed would at least try to calm him down should he jump or try to escape.
"Hey hey hey, don't scream or run, okay? I'm a friend here, name's Speed." The drake would then notice the Digimon's injuries, they looked pretty bad. "Homeostasis, are you okay? What happened to you?"

Baalmon stared at Johan as he pondered Johan's ultimatum, before sighing. "That Digimon's not in any shape to put up much of a fight, so it won't take long to finish the job. As a matter of professional pride, I try not to get others involved in order to avoid collateral damage, so it's in my interests to settle this as quickly and cleanly as possible."
Baalmon would put the poster away as he tapped his chin while he pondered what to do next. Having an epiphany, the bounty hunter would say, "Tell you what, if you don't want any fights breaking out here in this city, then why don't we work together to track down the bug and bring him in? That should keep any risks of collateral damage to a minimum, and I'll even compensate you for the trouble. Sound fair to you?"
Voidmon was startled by speed's sudden appearance, and used his sword as a cane as he struggled to get to his feet. However, his legs gave out from under him and caused him to fall to his knees while still leaning on his sword. Speed's words did manage to calm the shadowy Digimon's nerves as he successfully managed to get on his feet once more.
Y̷o̷u̸ ̷a̴r̵e̶ ̶n̸o̸t̴ ̵a̸n̶ ̶e̴n̴e̷m̸y̵? Voidmon would telepathically ask the Speedramon. Unlike Psych's telepathy, Voidmon's telepathic "voice" came out garbled, rendering it a bit difficult to understand. Voidmon would pause for a moment before answering Speed's question about what happened. I̷ ̵w̸a̸s̵.̷.̸.̷ ̴c̸r̵e̵a̸t̴e̶d̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̴b̸e̵ ̸a̷ ̷w̵e̷a̶p̵o̸n̶,̵ ̸b̵u̸t̷ ̴I̴ ̵r̷e̶f̷u̶s̶e̷d̷ ̸t̴o̷ ̷b̴e̶ ̴a̷ ̴m̸i̴n̴d̴l̸e̷s̵s̷ ̵k̴i̸l̵l̷e̵r̴.̴ ̷M̶y̶ ̸"̷m̷a̵s̸t̸e̶r̶"̶ ̴w̸a̸s̵ ̷a̸n̸g̶e̸r̷e̸d̵ ̴b̶y̸ ̴m̷y̷ ̴d̴e̸c̷i̴s̷i̶o̷n̶.̷.̷.̸ ̷s̷e̷n̴t̷ ̶b̵o̴u̵n̷t̶y̶ ̸h̷u̴n̶t̴e̴r̵s̸ ̵a̸f̵t̸e̸r̸ ̶m̴e̸,̸ ̴l̵i̶k̸e̶ ̷B̷a̸a̵l̶m̶o̴n̵.̶ ̸I̵ ̸w̸i̸l̵l̶ ̷n̴o̴t̸ ̸b̸e̴ ̷t̴a̴k̸e̷n̶!̷
It was better left unsaid what the Voidmon planned to do to himself if he was captured.

"If this Digimon isn't in any shape for a fight then the solution isn't to kill them, it is to bring them to a proper trial," Johan said, putting his foot down on this topic. It just made things worse when the Baalmon offered to let Johan work together with him to reduce any collateral damage. He even had the gall to offer compensation to Johan, as if he cared about that. "I'm sorry but unless it's absolutely necessary, deleting Digimon is not our style. If the Digimon you're hunting is that hurt then I will stop you."
Meanwhile back with Speed and the injured Digimon, they were pretty startled of Speed at first before his legs gave out, falling onto his knees while he leaned against his sword. The Speedramon felt pity towards this poor Digimon, it seemed like they had gotten into one hell of a fight and they were on their last legs as well. Speed could hear the Digimon "speak" to him like Psych usually does, but this telepathy was less clear than Psych's. Speed was still able to understand him at least, and listened as the Digimon explained his story. Apparently he was actually created to be a weapon, but he didn't want to be a mindless killer so he escaped. His master was clearly not happy about it, so he sent bounty hunters like that Baalmon to get him. "So it's bad news if Baalmon gets you, hm?" Speed asked. "Tell you what - AEGIS HQ isn't too far from here. I can get you there in an instant, and we can protect you until Baalmon is taking care of. Would you like that? There we can heal you and get you a bite to eat, you look like you haven't eaten in days... that is, if you can eat, I mean."
"Johan... Johan, can you hear me?" Johan could hear Zero's voice from his earpiece. "I hacked into the nearby security cameras and I can see Speed interacting with what I assume is one of the targets. What concerns me is that the target looks really damn beat up. What is going on down there?"
"It's a bounty hunter going after a target," Johan responded to Zero, in a way that the Baalmon couldn't hear, "I fear an all out brawl might happen, going to try to move this fight to the Digital World if collateral damage is imminent."

The Baalmon stared at Johan for a minute as he considered the AEGIS agent's ultimatum, before ultimately letting out a small grunt and turning back in the direction of the portal. "So be it, then. He has to return to the Digital World eventually, and the only way for him to do so is to go through Terminus. And you'd better believe that I'll be waiting there for him when he does. Until then, farewell."
The Baalmon's words made it quite clear that he wasn't done going after the Voidmon, not by a long shot.

B̵u̷t̵ ̵I̷ ̶d̴o̵u̷b̸t̵ ̶t̵h̵a̵t̷ ̴m̷y̶ ̷p̵u̴r̸s̸u̸e̴r̷ ̴w̸i̷l̶l̷ ̶g̵i̴v̴e̸ ̴u̶p̸ ̴t̶h̶e̴ ̷h̴u̵n̸t̸ ̵s̴o̷ ̵e̶a̸s̶i̵l̵y̸,̴ ̵a̶n̶d̷ ̵I̷ ̶d̸o̴ ̶n̵o̶t̴ ̵w̷a̸n̴t̵ ̷t̵o̴ ̸s̸e̶e̶ ̷i̴n̵n̷o̷c̵e̴n̸t̵ ̴p̵e̸o̴p̵l̷e̶ ̵g̸e̸t̷ ̵h̵u̸r̸t̸ ̵f̶o̷r̶ ̶m̶y̸ ̴s̵a̷k̸e̷.̵ ̴N̶o̸r̷ ̶w̸i̴l̴l̴ ̷a̶n̶y̵ ̷h̵u̴n̴t̵e̴r̴s̵ ̷t̵h̸a̴t̴ ̷m̷y̴.̴.̵.̷ ̵c̴r̸e̸a̷t̴o̵r̷ ̷s̷e̷n̶d̵s̴ ̵a̷f̷t̵e̷r̸ ̴m̷e̶.̶
OOC: I actually rolled a d20 to see if Johan could convince the Baalmon to not start duking it out right there in Shibuya and it actually rolled a critical success (19, and 13 was needed for a success). So, Baalmon's heading back to the DW for now.

Johan stared back at the Baalmon, trying to hardest as to look like he wouldn't back down. A fight in Shibuya was the last thing he wanted, but that was tied with seeing an innocent Digimon get hurt or killed if Johan didn't stand his ground. Eventually the Baalmon accepted Johan's conclusion and left back for the Digital World, stating that his target had to return to the Digital World eventually through Terminus, where Baalmon would be waiting.
"Aaaaand breathe," Johan said with a sigh as he bent down towards the ground, his hands on his legs.
"I guess you were worried about a downtown brawl for nothin'," Zero half-teased once he saw the outcome. "Speed, bring that Digimon with you back to AEGIS HQ. We're gonna need to ask it for questions."
"And he needs to be healed too, you dingus," Speed responded back. "You're gonna wanna hold on tight. Try not to lose your lunch afterwards." And with that, Speed would carefully grab onto the Digimon and zoom all the way back to AEGIS HQ.
It wouldn't be long for the others to join Speed, Zero and their new guest - Johan, Dokamon and Psych all arrived more or less at the same time in the team's meeting room. "Just took our new friend to the infirmary," Speed explained to them. "Lanty and Rashi should be almost done healing him up real soon."
So now we need to discuss the Elephantmon in the room: the situation this... unknown Digimon is in.
"That Baalmon is a bounty hunter," Johan explained. "He's pretty hellbent on getting his target. He told me that the only way he can get back to the Digital World is through Terminus City, where he claimed to be waiting."
"So why don't we just hand the weird thing in and be done with it?"
"Bad idea. I talked with the Digimon for a bit; he said that he was created by someone to be some kinda... some kinda weapon, but he didn't want to be a weapon so he escaped. Said his master sent more than one bounty hunter after him."
"So we have to deal with the possibility that more unwanted guests might attempt to catch him," Dokamon stated. He looked up towards Johan. "Are you sure this will not just cause more trouble than it's worth?"
Johan shook his head. "It's possible that if a bounty hunter gets after him, his life will end. I won't be responsible for someone else's death. We need to protect him - and find a way to get him back to the Digital World safely."

Voidmon was briefly confused by Speed's warning to hang on tight until the Speedramon grabbed him and ran all the way back to AEGIS HQ at breakneck speeds that left the knight-like Digimon. It was a good thing that Voidmon didn't have anything to throw up, since he hadn't had much of a chance to eat recently with Baalmon on his tail. The fact that he was physically incapable of vomiting due to his unusual biology was also a minor blessing.
When the duo finally reached the HQ and Speed released Voidmon, the knight took a moment to lean on his sword for support as he recovered his balance. T̴h̸a̶n̸k̷ ̵y̷o̷u̵ ̷f̷o̵r̷ ̷y̸o̴u̵r̶ ̸a̸s̵s̴i̷s̴t̷a̶n̵c̷e̸,̷ ̵s̵i̴r̷.̵ ̷I̷ ̷s̷t̵i̵l̶l̴ ̶d̶o̷ ̴n̷o̴t̷ ̶u̴n̷d̶e̷r̴s̸t̷a̸n̶d̷ ̸w̴h̷y̵ ̴y̷o̸u̵ ̶a̶r̷e̷ ̷s̶o̶ ̵w̴i̷l̸l̸i̴n̷g̸ ̵t̵o̴ ̶h̶e̴l̶p̴ ̵m̵e̵,̸ ̸e̷v̸e̶n̵ ̷k̸n̸o̸w̶i̸n̸g̶ ̵w̸h̸a̴t̸ ̶I̶ ̸w̶a̷s̷ ̸m̸e̷a̴n̵t̷ ̶t̵o̶ ̷b̷e̴,̴ ̷b̵u̷t̵ ̴i̵t̷ ̴i̵s̷ ̵a̸p̶p̸r̷e̴c̸i̴a̷t̵e̶d̸ ̶a̸l̶l̷ ̶t̴h̵e̴ ̶s̵a̴m̸e̶.̷
Beyond that, Voidmon would remain quiet as he was lead into the building and taken to the infirmary to be healed, oblivious of the meeting that was currently happening elsewhere in the building to decide his fate.
