Oh boy, were things beginning to get serious now! The two shadowy monsters charged the pair, and while Koemi was frozen in fear, LJ, who was a bird man now, btw, further convincing Koemi that he was actually some shapeshifter, unleashes some kind of magical blue flame to burn away their assailants!
However, while LJ was thinking that he, the armor ultimate Digimon, was going up against a couple of measly champion-level Digimon, he was going to be sorely mistaken. Unfortunately for LJ and Koemi, these guys were quite a bit tougher than that.
SkullKnightmon threw his long, black cape in front of him, then flapped it back behind them, causing a surging black wave of wind to cancel out the blue fires of LJ's attack. And with that, DeadlyAxemon was free to charge! It sped forward, trying to ram into LJ and slice him up with all of his jagged and sharp parts of his body! It looked like it was gonna hurt quite a bit if he did so!
Meanwhile, Koemi was still frozen in fear, but she heard Pikadan's voice call out to her.
Koemi... Koemi! You must move forward now, while these enemies are distracted!
Koemi shivered in place as she muttered, "But what if he gets hurt...?" LJ was only getting attacked by these dark creatures because he decided to hurt LJ! She would feel bad if he got himself hurt!

When SkullKnightmon countered his Feather Flare by creating a surge of black wind with a flick of his cape. "This guy's tougher than he looks. Guess he wasn't a champion level digimon so that could mean..." LJ said his thoughts cut off by DeadlyAxemon charging him. Not good. As DeadlyAxemon got closer an idea popped into his head as he braced himself his wings neatly folded as his twin swords began glowing with a pale blue aura. As DeadlyAxemon got just with in milimeters of him he pointed his swords at the dark creature and said "Have a taste of this ugly! Aura Blade!" From his glowing swords a pale blue burst of energy shot out heading for where DeadlyAxemon's face should of been.
Not taking his eyes off the enemies out of the corner of his eye he noticed she had yet to make a move for the egg. "Koemi, I can hold these guys off. Get the egg. It might be what is needed to deal with these monsters." Yes monsters seemed like the best word as these two didn't seem like digimon despite looking much like digimon. He was still questioning if these things were even alive.

And while LJ was wondering whether his opponents are alive or not, DeadlyAxemon simply drove its body through the energy projected through, its body beginning to chip away ever so slightly from the blow, but still managing to crash into its winged opponent. It lifted its bladed front legs, locking them into LJ's blades to lock them down for a time?
How much time, exactly? Long enough for SkullKnightmon to move in through the shadows behind LJ. The armored foe covered its lance in a cloak of shadowy energy and stab at the winged warrior from behind.
Which left poor Koemi at a loss at what to do. It's not like she could actually do anything to help against these monsters in front of her. They were all moving so fast for her to keep up, and she could feel the force of their attacks even from a distance. What could a little girl like Koemi do? But thank fully LJ managed to give her some solid advice, further compounded by her bullet buddy's words. Hoping that neither of the shadowy monsters would notice her, Koemi scrambled towards the silver pedestal as quickly as her bookworm body could allow, unfortunately she tripped up as soon as she tried to get up to the silver egg, tumbling off the pedestal and back onto the floor. She must have bumped her elbow on the way down, however, because she was tearing up from the pain of it all.

It seemed DeadlyAxemon was not all that halted by his attack even though he had done some notable damage but it was now too late to take to the air to avoid the beast as it crashed into him knocking the wind out of LJ briefly as the two of them hit the floor. DeadlyAxemon had locked his blade like limbs on LJ's twin swords as he pushed trying to get the beast off of him. 'Pops never have I wished I had your super strength until now.' LJ thought with clenched teeth as he managed to push himself up somewhat only to catch a movement out of the corner of his eye. It was SkullKnighmon using the shadows to sneak up on him from behind.
Flapping his wings in a desperate attempt to pull his swords from DeadlyAxemon's grip it seemed useless as he saw SkullKnightmon coming at him intending to pierce him with his lance covered in shadowy energy. Then as if inspiration struck LJ he began channeling his magic before he said "Spiritual Conjuring!" A light purple aura engulfed his body before taking the form of a Japanese hand held weapon called a kusari-gama, which was a sickle on a weighted chain. Releasing his grip on his swords he took hold of the sickle in one hand using it to keep DeadlyAxemon from impaling him while taking hold of the chain with his other hand before flinging it at SkullKnightmon's shadowy lance in an attempt to entangle the weapon. Hopefully Koemi would get the egg soon since he had no idea how long he could hold them back.

Uses Spiritual Conjuring to conjure a kusari-gama before flinging the chain to disrupt SkullKnightmon's plan of impaling him.

Koemi certainly took a tumble, but truth be told, the little girl was so clumsy she was used to those by now. Shaking off the aching in her elbow, she ascended the platform once more, towards the silvery egg. It wasn't all that big, just a little bigger than Koemi's head. Though it seemed more like a statue than any kind of egg, Koemi thought.
How strange... This holy energy it's emitting... It's what I'm seeking, and yet at the same time... it's not... Koemi heard Pikadan mutter to no one in particular. But Koemi didn't have time to ponder that little tidbit. She moved over towards it, bending down to get a firm grip on it, and yoinked the wing-like statue up as hard as she could! And surprisingly... it wasn't all that heavy! Definitely heavier than her bookbag, but not at all back-breaking in the slightest!
Meanwhile, LJ would likely be having his hands full at the moment. He managed to block the duo's deadly attack for the time being with his chain-sickle maneuver, but once the chain wrapped around SkullKnightmon's lance, the shadowy Digimon simply let go of his weapon, and the lance dissipated into black smoke. Then, the lance reappeared in SkullKnightmon's hand once more, and it looked like he was ready to go for another strike!
But then, the room began to glow alight in a silvery sheen, and both SkullKnightmon and DeadlyAxemon seemed to physically recoil from it. They leaped away from the room, heading back out into the darkness away from the keep. DeadlyAxemon seemed to float through the air with SkullKnightmon riding atop it.
At that moment, Koemi held the silvery object above her head, turning over to LJ and shouting, "I got the egg-thingy! Now what do I do?"

Fortunately LJ's efforts to block the attacks were successful but only to a limited point as when the chain of the kusari-gama wrapped around SkullKnightmon's lance the faceless knight merely dropped it causing it to dissipate into black smoke before it reappearing in the knight's hand once more. "Guess this would of been too easy if that was all it took to slow that guy down." LJ said as he then tried to get free of DeadlyAxemon by trying to stab the beast with the sickle end of the weapon hoping it would give him the opening he needed.
Then a bright silver light filled the room causing LJ to shield his eyes from the light as both SkullKnightmon and DeadlyAxemon seemed to not like the light at all as they recoiled. This made since considering their shadowy nature which made LJ relieved. As he adjusted to the light he was able to make out both foes scurrying for the shadows of while he caught site of Koemi holding up the egg. Yet, other than the light show, nothing else seemed to be happening which puzzled LJ. If Koemi was a tamer, then where was her partner if not concealed somehow under the egg?
Sitting up, LJ set the kusari-gama carefully near him before retrieving his swords that fell to the floor and sheathed them before picking the sickle and chain back up again. While the weapon was magical in nature it had a temporary existence and he planned on making use of it until it faded while in the dark castle. Approaching Koemi, LJ said "It's awesome you have the egg, Koemi, but to be honest even I don't know what to do from here."

Welp, other than driving the bad people that were all inky and dark and whatnot away for the time being, this silvery egg didn't seem to be of much help, did it? Koemi was kind of confused for a bit, even more so when LJ didn't seem too certain himself.
This is odd... She heard Pikadan mutter in her head. This is the power I'm looking for, but at the same time it... it feels... incomplete...
"Well... the big skull castle has two eyes, right? Maybe we need the gold thingy, too?" After all, silver, gold, platinum... it could kind of make sense, right? She ran over towards LJ, looking up to him with a pleading gaze. "Excuse me, but could you help me once again, pretty please?" She honestly felt a little guilty about asking him for more favors when because of Koemi's little quest, he had to fight some bad creatures. But Koemi couldn't get there by herself! And... Koemi honestly wanted to see what would happen if she got the gold egg thingy as well. The girl's curiosity was getting the better of her.

Fortunately the egg in Koemi's hands was keeping the dark creatures far away and for that LJ was grateful as they were stronger than they initially appeared to be. He wouldn't be so overconfident if it happened again though so at least something good came of this.
As Koemi approached him the kusari-gama in his hands that he conjured a while ago began glowing light purple before fading as if it was never there. Then Koemi mentioned the gold light in the skull castles other eye and LJ said "Maybe this thing will be what is needed to activate your egg. To be honest I was sort of curious about the other light myself. Just be ready incase of more potential trouble, okay?" He then gently reached out taking hold of Koemi carefully supporting her in one arm before drawing one of his swords ready to deflect lightning just incase and walked back out toward the opening spreading his black wings before taking flight. Hopefully Koemi's curiosity about the gold light would keep her from freaking out this time.

Things were scary the first time around, but once she had done it before, things were kind of exciting now! Plus, it wasn't a very long flight, so Koemi would be fine! So why was Koemi still gripping onto LJ with a crushing death-grip if she wasn't scared... Um.... She was... just... excited! Yeah, that was it! Definitely not scared! At all! This flight was eventful as well as they flew into a chamber where it was practically identical to the last one, save for the golden light replacing what was a silver light earlier. There was a swirling form of darkness in this one as well, however, Koemi's bullet necklace began to visibly shake.
"I'm so close... I can feel it!" The voice emanating from the bullet could be heard by even LJ as it seemed to glow and grow in power. "I must... complete my mission!" And with that, Koemi felt the bullet fly towards the golden angel wing egg, except the poor girl was attached to the bullet, so she went flying along with Pikadan as he flew threw the air like a... well... bullet.
The swirling darkness didn't even have time to form as the bullet collided with the egg, Koemi slamming into it soon after. The force of Koemi's impact knocked the wind out of her as the golden egg went flying up into the air, but she managed to recover fast enough to reach out and catch the egg before it could crash into anything and potentially break. Koemi let out a sigh of relief as she pulled the egg closer to her, the gold and silver eggs coming into contact with one another, and a bright white light filled the room. Suddenly, the eggs merged together, forming a single glowing entity.
However, the swirling darkness wasn't going to remain idle forever. It began to take the form of something vaguely humanoid, and a shadowy blade began to form in its arm as it descended upon the pair. However, the glowing figure, vaguely feline in appearance, simply whispered, "Begone..." waved a hand through the air, and the being of dark being was vanquished in an instant. But not completely without incident.
The remnants of darkness began to mix in with the light that emanated within the room, forming a swirling vortex that merged with the being of light. It recoiled in pain as it let out a scream of shock in rage. Then, the being of light was ripped into two, creating a massive sphere of light that completely consumed Koemi and Pikadan as well.
"Pi... what's happening...!?" Koemi screamed out in shock.
"I... I don't know..." Pikadan admitted, his newfound voice quivering in uncertainty.
"I'm... I'm scared...!" The last thing LJ would hear was Koemi's shriek before falling completely silent as the light vanished, Koemi, Pikadan, and whatever beings of light that accompanied them.
LJ would find himself completely alone in a now-completely dark and hollow skull structure.

The short flight was uneventful and LJ soon touched down in the room containing a golden egg before gently setting Koemi down. Then the voice from the bullet was understandable by LJ catching him by surprise as he stared at Koemi just in time to see the bullet fly for the golden egg little girl and all. Before LJ could recover from the surprise Koemi crashed into the egg sending it upward and before LJ made a move to catch it, Koemi had caught the egg. After this Koemi seemed fine as she clutched both eggs to her before a bright white light filled the room causing LJ to shield his eyes from the intensity of it.
Though momentarily blinded by the light he heard the pained rage of the darkness still emanating throughout the room as if it was being repulsed by the light. Koemi's shriek caused LJ to stumble toward her but after the light cleared the young girl was gone. Confused LJ looked around and yelled "Koemi?" After hearing nothing he grew worried and began looking throughout the now hollow structure finding no trace of the girl. It was as if she vanished into thin air. Knowing there was nothing he could do here and hoping wherever she was that she was safe, he reluctantly took flight again exiting the castle. Maybe one day he would meet her again. At least he hoped that would be the case so he didn't have to be worried about her anymore.
