I'll get bits. Thank you. This whole situation was a little on the unbelievable side. How the Jazamon had found herself in it was also a bit on the unbelievable side, yet she was here nonetheless. It all had begun when Sasha expressed curiosity regarding social interactions; she hadn’t experienced them all that much if one excluded Magnus and the others. Sure, there was the human Katherine, Jazz, and Honoka but that was a bit on the dismal side, wasn’t it? They all had been thoroughly understanding, but she was certain a good deal of that had been thanks to her not taking much of the spotlight, or being in the comfort of the company of her closest acquaintances.
And that made her yearn for more, or at least for some form of first-hand experience at it. Despite giving the opposite direction, she was beyond thankful to everyone, but still felt the desire to have something to call her own, rather than being the ensemble’s. The Jazamon was beyond ashamed when she expressed this to the beings that were no doubt her closest friends, and despite bracing for what no doubt would be a scornful reaction, she found herself on the receiving end of understanding and acceptance instead. Sasha was so thoroughly bewildered at the development that she didn’t even catch Miyu saying that she had a great idea regarding how to solve that.
Just imagine her surprise when the Penmon had set a ‘blind date’ for her, in no other place than The Moon. It came without saying that Sasha didn’t really know the meaning of the word ‘date’ and that made the reveal and the subsequent explanation all the more surprising. How was she supposed to deal with this? The situation was so flustering…
She resolved that, despite Miyu’s trickery, this was her responsibility and resolved to attend to… whatever was this with as much good will as she could muster. And that’s how she found herself in one of the satellite’s smaller towns, sitting on a bench near a plaza’s fountain. Given the way gravity worked here, the water adopted forms that would’ve been impossible otherwise; for something so simple, it was quite the show.
The digimon didn’t know what to expect, or even what kind of partner she’d get for this, so she had her holosuit activated, just in case. Now, she just had to wait; will they show up? 399.

I'd like to request posts as my MPC reward, please. Tartar was rather nervous as he adjusted the magnetic bowtie currently affixed to his collar. The Kokuwamon X wasn’t sure why he had to come all the way to the Digital World’s Moon for a simple blind date, but there wasn’t anything the scientist could do since he was already here. The fare to come all the way up here wasn’t cheap, so Tartar hoped that the trip would be worth it.
Having recently accepted the fact that he was officially a father of two, despite the unusual circumstances behind Soundblaster and MetalKhimeramon’s births, Tartar had resolved to be the possible father that he could. As a part of this, the Kokuwamon X had decided to give dating a try in order to possibly find another suitable parental figure to his sons. He wasn’t sure if a simple blind date like this would yield the desired results, but ultimately brushed that concern aside. After all, the single father of two could always try again if this particular date didn’t work out.
Thus, Tartar was now currently waiting at the scheduled meet-up spot for the blind date, a local fountain surrounded by benches, not really having much more than a name and a photograph of his intended date due to the limitations of the dating service Tartar had used to schedule the date in the first place. He knew his intended date was a Jazamon, but he simply didn’t see anyone who looked even remotely like the Digimon he was supposed to meet.
Was it possible that he had come to the wrong place?

Was this working? This looked like it wasn’t working at all. Many doubts littered Sasha’s mind. Was she really in the correct spot? Was the other person late? Or maybe she was too early? Maybe they wouldn’t even show up at all? This and many more questions appeared quickly and impetuously, threatening to override her usually level way of thinking. Thankfully, she remembered in the nick of time she had prepared for this contingency. Miyu, being the digimon behind these events, had provided valuable insights regarding what to do in case the first encounter didn’t happen smoothly. Slowly, she gazed at the sign at her side on the bench; the Penmon had crafted it, and told her to show it to the world if her prospective date didn’t appear in a timely manner. She also assured Sasha that it’d attract attention, even though the disguised Jazamon herself wasn’t sure regarding what kind of attention it would garner. Miyu had proven to be an unreliable ally thus far, and that was for saying the least. But, what other option did she have? To turn back and call the whole deal a failure? Despite Sasha’s reticence at engaging with this ‘date’ from the start, something that could vaguely be described as pride forbid her from forfeiting, up to the point it surpassed any measure of shyness she could’ve felt while staring at. Thus, after taking a deep breath, she stood up and held the sign above her arms, hoping it would work.

Well, if the Kokuwamon was looking to figure out if he was in the right place, the green-haired girl holding the sign asking about daters might as well be as good a place to start as any. Worst case scenario, the scientist would simply embarrass himself in a place he can easily avoid for the rest of his life. The Kokuwamon calmly walked up to the girl and politely tried to get her attention. "Pardon me, madam. I know this may be an odd question to hear, but are you associated with the Jazamon I believe I'm supposed to meet here? I'm unfamiliar with this location, so I'm not sure if I'm even at the right place."
The scientist really didn't feel like beating around the bush, so he just bluntly got to the point. He didn't really have much to lose in this situation after all.
"If your sign isn't related to the Digimon I'm waiting for, then I apologize for wasting your time." Tartar added. Hope for the best and plan for the worst, as they say.

Did… did it actually work? For some seconds, Sasha was utterly amazed at Miyu’s brilliance; never, not even in a hundred years, the Jazamon would’ve conceived a method like this one. It took her some seconds to realize that she was actually being addressed by the Kokuwamon, and the silence that ensued while Sasha acknowledged those words was just a tad on the awkward side.
She managed to react eventually, however. Slowly, she lowered her sign, and considering she was going to talk with a digimon, she decided to activate her holosuit first before addressing him. “Yes, that should be me.” She responded with a hint of eagerness. “I got into this due to a friend, and she was fairly vague with the details. But at least there was a workaround for that.” All in all, the Jazamon seemed fairly satisfied, even though the only thing she had accomplished was for things to even begin.
“I’m Sasha. What’s your name?” Second step! “I’m new to this dating stuff, so I apologize for any mistakes I make.” There was an expression to add in a situation like this, wasn’t it? Oh well; maybe she’d remember it at some point.
“Is there anything in particular you’d like to do? I’ve heard the moon is pretty fancy.” Was ‘fancy’ even the correct word? The digimon couldn’t help but to wonder… 879

Oh, okay. So apparently the human girl was actually just his date wearing a holosuit. That was good to know. Tartar mentally sighed in relief that he actually was at the right place, choosing to ignore the awkward pause just before the Jazamon revealed herself. "Ah, so I did get it right, then. You can call me Tartar, if you wish. It is not the name I was born with, but it is the name I prefer to go by."
The Kokuwamon X would tap his pincers together and nod as Sasha apologized for any mistakes she might make. "I have never actually been on a date myself, so I'm new to this as well. Please let me know if I end up making you feel uncomfortable or anything."
Well, so far so good, right? Tartar really didn't want to make a fool of himself, after all. He still couldn't help but feel like he might be walking through a metaphorical minefield, though.
Oh, she had just asked him a question while he was lost in thought. He needed to keep himself focused on the situation at hand. "I have honestly never been to the moon before, so I have absolutely no idea what we could do here. I had someone help me with setting this up, as well, but I'm not sure why they had us come all the way out here for this. Do you happen to have any preferences?" WC: 692/2500

Apparently the misunderstanding was cleared quickly enough, and the Kokuwamon promptly introduced himself as Tartar; weird name, but definitely far from the weirdest Sasha had heard of. “It’s nice to meet you, Tartar! Hope we have a fun outing.” Or something. She wasn’t even sure of how this was supposed to go. And it seemed like he didn’t either, so that’d be fun! “Don’t worry about that. I’m sure it’ll be fun, at the very least!”
She didn’t have the highest of hopes, but that was the rational way of thinking, better to be pleasantly surprised than sorely disappointed, right? The Jazamon gazed at her companion for the day, and tilted her head slightly at the mention of how inexperienced he was regarding the satellite. “It’s the first time I’m visiting the moon as well, but~!” For some moments, she seemed proud of herself. “I did some research. There’s plenty of things to do here, at least for the purposes of our outing! There’s an amusement park underground, some museums, and even a live show at a well-known eatery. Would you prefer to go to any in particular?”
Sasha herself had no preference. All of them made her equally curious, so it was for the best to leave the decision to him, right? 1092

Tartar tapped his pincers together as he contemplated the options Sasha had laid out. The Kokuwamon X was physically incapable of eating actual food, so seeing the live show at the eatery was at the bottom of his priority list. He wouldn't mind going when Sasha started feeling hungry, but it just wouldn't be the first place he'd want to go. "This... underground amusement park sounds rather interesting, so perhaps we should start there. We can go visit the eatery with the live show whenever you start to feel hungry."
With that, Tartar pulled out a map of the town that he'd purchased to help him locate the meet-up spot with Sasha, to begin with. He studied the map for a minute as he figured out how to get to the amusement park, as well as the location of several nearby eateries (he didn't know which one had the live shows, so he just memorized as many of their locations as possible). "Let's see... ah, there we go. Huh, the amusement park entrance is closer than I thought it would be. Shall we be off then, Miss Sasha?" WC: 880/2500

Sasha’s gaze slowly went to Tartar as he laid out her options’ options. The Jazamon quirked a brow when the Kokuwamon X mentioned her getting hungry, but at least for the time being, that wasn’t something that had to be addressed at the moment. Maybe later down the meeting!
“Let’s go to the amusement park, then! That sounds like a fun time.” They had some distance to cover in order to get there, but that hopefully wouldn’t be an issue! Sasha began to tread towards their destination, hoping that Tartar did the same thing. “So, why don’t you tell me some things about you?” She asked, interest evident in her robotic voice. “For example; do you have a tamer? A general? Or maybe you’re on your own? Nowadays, it seems like partnered digimons are a lot more common than before.”
The Jazamon made a pause, unsure if what she asked was rude or not. “No offense in case that came across as a rude statement! Digimons with partners or without them are very cool, even though they tend to think… different, maybe? I don’t know, it’s hard to explain.” Maybe she was overcomplicating the statement. Oh well; she preferred to not dwell there for too long.
By now, they should be nearing the amusement park. The outline of the building and its various attractions was somewhat distinguishable at the distance, even if it was underground. 1327

"That sounds like a plan." Tartar agreed, as the duo started on their way to the amusement park. Seeing Sasha quirk her eyebrow at his earlier statement made Tartar feel like he'd made a mistake of some kind, but he wasn't gonna bring it up if she didn't.
When Sasha asked Tartar some stuff to learn more about him, the Kokuwamon X actually perked up a bit. "I don't find that to be rude at all. It's only natural that you'd want to know more about the person you're currently spending time with, after all. To answer your question, I am in fact part of a Xros Army, although I am not the main Xros Partner of the team. That role goes to our leader, Octavio, who acts as both our army's Xros General and primary Xros Partner."
After that reply, Tartar actually tapped his chin in contemplation as a sudden thought crossed his mind. "I do also have two sons, both of which I'm rather proud of. The eldest, Soundblaster, is actually part of our Xros Army, and my youngest, Metal, is currently training to join us in the future. And what about yourself, Miss? Are you part of such a group?"
Tartar was still getting used to thinking of Soundblaster and MetalKhimeramon as his children, instead of just as Digimon he happened to create in a lab, but he was certainly glad that someone had actually gotten him to realize that they were, in fact, part of his family. On a side note, although Tartar was curious to know more about his date, he would also respect her privacy if she decided that she wasn't comfortable talking about it.
Of course, Tartar would snap himself out of his musings upon catching sight of the entrance to the amusement park in the distance. As they got closer, Tartar decided to try and be a gentleman, as he pulled a slip of paper out of a storage compartment on his torso. "Luckily for us, we won't have to worry about paying for admission. One of my comrades actually subscribes to a yearly group pass for up to five individuals that she was willing to let me borrow for this trip, although I'm not sure why she chose to purchase a group pass for a park she's never even been to." It sounded like a plan, indeed! The two digimons trod forward, smalltalk already blooming regarding their… origins? If it could be described as that. Sasha listened attentively to Tartar’s words. For one, it was a good thing that he didn’t find offense in her inquisitive nature; otherwise, this date would be a fairly difficult affair! On the other hand, the Kokuwamon X’s own situation regarding where he belonged, and his relationships in that structure were fairly interesting!
“A digimon leads the ensemble?” She asked, surprise evident in her voice. “Hadn’t seen that happening before! How does that exactly work? Do they have a Xros Loader like a human would? Or does that work differently?” Least to say, she was fairly curious about the whole deal!
Curiosity gave way to puzzlement at the next statement, however. “Sons…?” That was something the Jazamon wasn’t expecting at all! Saying that she was confused was quite the understatement. “Does that mean you have a partner, then…?” At least in the extremely swift and not very detailed explanation she’d gotten about how babies worked, they usually required two digimon that might or might not have a link of affection amongst them. However, she wasn’t judging, and assuming wouldn’t get her anywhere, so she’d wait for Tartar’s own answer.
Of course, Sasha herself didn’t mind speaking of her own arrangement. “I’m in a similar arrangement to you, except that I work under a human.” She said, simply. “I don’t know if I can consider myself to be friends with any of them, but they’re all nice people. At least, they’ve been to me thus far.” A bit on the succinct side, but it wasn’t like she had much else to say about it. And in good time, considering that, by now, they had reached their destination! A wide-eyed Jazamon looked at everything the park had to offer.
It was an amazing sight for her, at the very least! She didn’t even know where to begin. “Oh! That is fairly convenient.” She commented, her eagerness showing in her voice. “Where do you want to go first? Everything looks so good!” With some luck, it’d be a fun evening. 1688

"General Octavio does indeed have his own Xros Loader, actually. He found a broken one, and the two of us have been working on fixing it. Right now, it is only capable of handling X3 Xroses at the moment, so it still needs a little work." Tartar explained, after Sasha asked about how Octavio was able to work as the team's Xros General. "We're both good with electronics, so progress on that front is going at an acceptable pace."
However, Sasha's question about Tartar having a partner did cause the scientist to pause for a moment, as he tried to figure out the best way to explain the situation. "Ah, no. I don't have a romantic partner of my own. My children were created through more... artificial means. Soundblaster was created as a modified clone of another individual created with their consent. While that would technically make both of us Soundblaster's parents, the two of us have a strictly professional relationship and have absolutely no attraction to each other at all. Metal, or MetalKhimeramon if you want to use his full name, is actually a fully-mechanical Khimeramon variant that I constructed from scratch. Despite his intimidating appearance, he's actually a very kind person."
As Tartar took in the sights of the amusement park himself after handling their admission, he found himself at a loss for words. There were so many options to choose from that he had no idea where to even begin. Well, except for one thing. "I have no idea where we should go first, so why don't you decide? Although, I really do not want to go on a roller coaster. That was an experience I'd rather not repeat." WC: 1552/2500

Once again, Sasha found herself listening with her undivided attention to Tartar’s words. She seemed pretty invested in the topic, especially given what she considered was a pretty rare arrangement, as far as Xros Generals were concerned. “That’s so cool!” She replied, amazed. “I’ve never heard of a digimon being a Xros General. It does sound like a fun arrangement, even though I’m not sure how something like that would work for myself. Humans have a way of making things somewhat unpredictable… and interesting, I think.” A fresh perspective for a digimon that sorely lacked them, no less.
As far as evolutions went, at least for the Jazamon herself, X3 was pretty impressive. “Any interesting xroses? I feel like evolutions are the most interesting aspect of the whole deal! The variety of appearances and powers that are produced by the wide arrange of combinations is truly impressive, if you ask me.”
Nerding about that aside? The story regarding Tartar’s own children was fairly… alternative, to say the least. Sasha seemed rather thoughtful about it at first, trying to make her own mind on the matter considering those uncommon origins. “It sounds like you appreciate your kids very much.” She began at first. “This might sound a bit rude, but how is their relationship? Since they’re not directly related and all…”
Was that a foot-in-mouth kinda moment? It could certainly be, as offspring was no doubt an iffy topic to talk about, especially this early in the date. At the sight of the park and the Kokuwamon X’s own suggestion, a wing pointed at the massive ferris wheel that stood a decent distance away from the group. “We could go there, maybe? It looks like fun!” 1972

"Yes, it is a bit of an unusual arrangement, but we somehow manage to make it work." Tartar said, tapping his chin as he thought about it. "At the very least, we know how to put aside any petty grudges and focus on more important matters. As for our Xros forms themselves? They're fairly straightforward. A few examples of our Xros forms are MetalKabuterimon, AtlurBallistamon, and JetSilphymon. Since our unit has quite a few machine Digimon, our Xros forms tend to be more on the mechanical side."
When Sasha asked about Soundblaster and Metal's relationship, Tartar actually turned to the Jazamon and tilted his head to the side slightly. "Their relationship? Do you mean how they are officially related to each other despite not being physically related, or are you asking about how well they get along with each other? I suppose that the answer for the first option is that they could technically be considered half-brothers or even simply being like adopted siblings. I admit that I'm not sure on the specifics, to be honest. As for the second option? They do get along pretty well, with Soundblaster easily taking to the older brother role and showing his brother the ropes and whatnot."
I'm certainly glad that they do care about each other. I don't want them to end up like Taranza and I did. Tartar thought to himself, looking away from Sasha as he did so. They deserve to have a better life than I did.
The Kokuwamon quickly shook himself out of his retrospection in order to focus back on the situation at hand, where Sasha had suggested going on a ferris wheel as their first stop. "That sounds like a good place to start. I've always enjoyed ferris wheels, to be honest. The view from the top always made me realize just how vast the world is and how much more of it there is to explore."
As they approached the Ferris Wheel, Tartar would let Sasha climb into their seat first before taking his seat. Even though the ferris wheel hadn't started moving yet, Tartar couldn't help but feel that tonight was off to a good start. The Jazamon he was accompanying was proving to be a rather delightful individual to talk to, to the point that Tartar was actually somewhat surprised by just how easy it was for him to open up to her. Indeed, it took a very special kind of leadership, and a very special kind of following, to make something like what Tartar had going on to work. It did sound intriguing, though. “We do have a troublemaker in our group, and that can be disruptive at times, but I think she means well most of the time, and that’s just the way she is. I do admit that I struggle to understand her most of the time, though.” It was hard to know if that statement had been meant for Tartar or just for herself, but that wasn’t something that mattered a lot.
Besides that obvious and potentially unwanted interruption, Sasha mostly listened attentively to Tartar words; the amount of forms at the disposal of the army he was a part of was quite extensive! The Jazamon herself could identify some of them, and found it smart to not interrupt the Kokuwamon X too much mid speech. She found herself nodding at his words as she took in the complex familial tie that both half-brothers had. It didn’t sound like something bad, and both brothers seemed to be almost as close as actual family. “That’s a very good relationship.” She finally said. “You do sound like a lovely family, all things considered.” Even if it wasn’t traditional by any means, that didn’t mean that they couldn’t make it work. She definitely respected the perseverance it took for that to happen.
The duo advanced towards the ferris wheel, Tartar letting Sasha enter the car first, before entering himself. She took a seat and soon enough, the whole thing began to move. She had to admit, even if they were underground, the whole deal was breathtaking. “It is very pretty.” She said after a gasp, looking outside. Moments like this one made her ponder about things that her daily life usually distracted her from. “Do you ever think about the future?” She asked, her eyes still affixed on the marvelous landscape. “Do you see yourself doing something or being somewhere?”
Vague? For sure, but what about the future wasn’t. 2319
