"Picked the wrong day to not bring my running shoes in my shoulder bag..." Kai said as she could see everyone was running. She had a bad feeling about everything and did not want to be left behind as she would stop for a moment to remove her shoes, exposing her stockings to the cold earth before she picked up her shoes as she steadied her breathing, preparing every muscle in her body as she would start to run. She would make her way through the crowd at a fast pace but she seemed to really pick up speed once she cleared them. She would pass by the awakened Ryuji as the Tamer and his partner stopped.
Kai heard the the scream from the woods as she would not stop running as she would run into the woods at a high speed, leaving a slight breeze by Ryuji and Yoshihiro before she stopped right before the duo, seeing the Digimon exposed in the bag. "What are you doing exposing the existence of Digimon to a non aware human, don't you realize you may have just put a death sentence target on your friend's head that he's utterly defenseless against?" She said in a harsh whisper after she stopped, leaning against a tree before she dropped her shoes to put them on one foot at a time as she looked at Arika with a sharp glare. She pulled out her Xros Loader from her blazer pocket.
"We already know. In fact you were spotted cause you had the Digimon walk around without some form of protection from sensory. Next time you're in Terminus, pick up a Holosuit or a DRM. Otherwise you may have someone less then friendly come after you.
" She said as she would look at Arika, pretending she didn't know about the Digivice Takiyo had for now as that was another headache.

Oh for goodness sake, did he have to scream that loud. "Quiet!" she hissed, quickly covering his mouth. Oh, she hoped that no one noticed. The crowd was a bit loud, so maybe-
"Eep!" And someone did notice, calling out to them while they were hiding. Her body tensed where she sat, feeling their stares piercing through their hiding spot. "Taki, don't say a word and maybe-"
And suddenly, an older girl just stepped in, sternly looking at them like some teacher or something. "Whu-what? Um, uh i-it just...a toy! It's just a-" And the girl already told her that they already know, and lectured her, which now annoyed Arika. "Hey! Who do you think you are just stepping into people's business and lecturing them, huh?"
The little creature pointed her tail at the feminine-looking boy. "Ms. Arika, that boy is a Digimon."
"Uh? Digi-what?" Looking at Yoshi, she then glared at Kai. "Oh, now I get it! These Diggy-mon-"
"Digimon."
"-Digimon were involved in those so-called accidents around the city, and you guys are part of some black-ops government group trying to keep them under wraps, huh?" Pulling out a microphone, she aimed it at Kai. "The public demands to know the truth!"

Takiyo Hirotahas calmed down.
That little toy just...popped to life from her bag, startling him. But after a few moments of staring at it, he realized how friendly-looking it was. Rather adorably friends. Like...cavity-inducing adorable friendly. After those times of Arika claiming she had seen aliens, it looks like...she's actually right. But...how did she get this guy? Where did she find it?
Well, his questions will have to wait for voices called for them. He tensed up, trying to hold back his screaming...until some older girl stepped into their hiding spot, "AAAH!!" startling him.
But the lecture she gave Arika, and the hindsight she said to her clearly meant that she, and those guys, know what's going on. Probably not a good idea for Arika to talk back at people who seem to have experience with this little guy. And said the little guy said that one of them is a...'Digi-mon'? Yes, Digimon in disguise. Was that the holosuit this girl told Arika about?
And oh great, Arika's reporter senses was blinding her to the big picture here. "Uh, Arika? Wouldn't that put your new pet in danger?" he dryly reminded.
"...." Realizing that, she sheepishly dropped her arms. "...rats."

Next thing both Ryuji and Yoshihiro knew Kai made her way towards the hiding place of the two younger teens and began lecturing them. Ryuji then made his way up to them before he, softly at first, said "Kai. KAI! Calm down. It's obvious this is their first experience with digimon. While I agree they should be more cautious. Scaring them out of their mind is not needed."
"Wow, Kai, and I thought Ryuji was too serious for my liking." Yoshihiro said also making his way over to the others. As he got close enough to see a Kapurimon with the girl he heard the Kapurimon call him a digimon and said "It seems you're on to me." Then after double checking to see if there were other humans were around and finding none he shrugged knowing Kai wouldn't likely be happy with his next move but what harm could be done at this point? Deactivating his holosuit he revealed his true form of a small cute white mammal with large ears. Unlike Arika's partner though he had arms and legs which were not common for in training digimon.
"Digimon aren't exactly pets." Ryuji said not knowing how else to explain things for the moment.

"I am calm Ryuji, relatively speaking, trust me, when I get angry, there isn't enough filing space to hold the paperwork for all the litigation." She said as she would look over at Ryuji behind her as he arrived, before she would turn back to the other girl. She had a bad feeling about this as the girl went on a journalistic tirade about the truth. However she sighed as she knew she would figure it out one way or another. "As for you, that microphone better be off as what I about to say needs to be off the record." She said as she looked at the girl's hand making sure the device was indeed turned off before she would go any further.
Seeing as Yosihiro took off his Holosuit, she didn't see any need to conceal her Xros Loader as she would slap the device against the underside of her left arm with the top ending near the tip, causing the built in straps to extend around her wrist attaching to her arm. "As far as government agency to keep Digimon a secret, no, I'm not a member of AEGIS. However there is a consensus among humans aware of the Digital World and majority of DIgimon, that to keep balance, Digimon must never be public knowledge since the scope of the situation would probably break social order as we know it, if not spark a series of events leading up to a catastrophe." She explained as she would try to go into it a bit more as she was trying to go in depth without being too much as she would lead into the subject matter.
"Digimon, are mostly sentient beings that inhabit a parallel dimension that is connected to our own, their world is called the Digital World, ours the Human or Real World depending on who you ask." Kai explained as she would try to slowly get into it. "Digimon take on a variety of shapes and forms as you can see, every digimon capable of shapeshifting between a select number of forms that are determined randomly by their version of genetics. In other words they change with every stage of form they can be, unlike us humans that need aging or surgery to change." She explained as she would gesture to the Calumon. "Both Digimon present are in one of the first two forms I assume. They usually look cute and harmless, but at the stage just above Yoshihiro's here, very few humans could stand up to him in a fight. In a battle of humans versus Digimon, humans lose every time." She explained as she was trying to go a bit in depth unaware she ran off with her explanations till she realized she forgot to introduce herself.
"Sorry, forgot to introduce myself. I'm Kai Aizawa. This is Ryuji, and his Digimon partner Yoshihiro."

Okay, so they're no part of some government group, but they sure know if one that's involved with these...Digimon. She's really gonna have to investigate this AEGIS group when she gets the chance. Anyways, a lot of info this Kai told her somewhat flew over her head, but basically, Digimon are creatures that can't be known to the public, or it'll cause a massive panic.
Not to mention, her little Digimon could be taken away and experimented on. As much as she doesn't like lies, or tell lies, the last thing she needs is to be blamed for causing mass hysteria, and endangering the little Digimon she has.
"Ugh...the story of the century, and I can't report it," she whined, slumping down.
"Sucks, doesn't it?" she heard Taki taunt.
"Shuddup." Rubbing her head, she just remembered something. "So...this thing does something with Digimon?" And she pulled out...  "Because I found this, along with this little guy."
"I'm a Kapurimon, Ms. Arika."
"Yeah, that."

Takiyo Hirotahas met his Digimon
Jeez, what a thing Arika got involved with. Her curiosity gets her into trouble many times, but this takes the case. Now they're part of some conspiracy that they have to keep a secret. Makes him wonder if any of the kids at school are Digimon in disguise. Hmm, he wonders if Digimon can take the form of rather hot babes.
And when Taki saw Arika show a pink version of the device he found, he quickly showed his. "Wait, so that came with that Digimon? But if I have a do-hickey like that, where's my Digi-"
And suddenly, his bag unleashed a beam of light out of its opening. Taki quickly looked into it...and found an egg...
...that quickly hatched the moment he saw it...
...birthing some sort of...black blob.  "Uh...?" So is this...his Digimon? Well, it's kind of cute. "Uh...hey there, litt-"
And the black blob launched at his face, latching on it like a leech.
"MMMMMMMMPH!!!" his screams muffled as he desperately tried to pull the monster off.

Fortunately Ryuji didn't have to handle the awkwardness of the explanation as Kai took over handling it nicely Yoshihiro chuckled from where he was floating as she mentioned how a stage above Yoshihiro's could be dangerous. Yoshihiro looked over at her and said "Yeah most in training digimon like myself aren't usually a threat to humans but there are a few exceptions. I for example could cause some damage to a human if I was an aggressive or evil digimon." It was obvious to Ryuji that Yoshihiro was referring to his partner's martial arts training.
While Akira was bummed that she couldn't tell people about what she had learned and it was obvious with how she was slumped. Then she brought out her D-3 and Kai brough out her Xros Loader which caused Ryuji to root around his pockets pulling out a mostly white D-3 with purple on the sides and a red antenna and buttons. Most curiously on the purple parts the symbol of Yoshihiro's Crystal Matrix was plain as day.
When Takiyo asked about where his digimon was it was answered by an egg appearing before shortly hatching into a Botamon. Before Takiyo knew it the little digimon leapt at the young teen's face latching on. Yoshihiro floated over to the black blobby digimon and tried tugging the little bugger off as he said "Alright. Let go."

Kai was glad to see that Arika did at the very least understand the fact that Digimon cannot be published. Though she had a feeling Stacy might give her an earful for making this nosy girl AEGIS's problem, though she had a feeling she merely just speed along the inevitable. However Kai was not wanting to rush progress as she was grateful to get this far along with the two. However when the subject changed to DIgivices, Kai had a feeling it was about to become quite the complex conversation.
However before she could answer, just as Takiri was talking about his own, a Digi-egg emerged from the red device and subsequently hatched, before the black baby digimon instantly attached to his tamer. "Guess that little guy must be on his first life." Kai said as she let Yoshihiro help the boy. She knew if anything Ryuji was stronger then her and would be of better help. Kai seemed calm and composed as she looked over Takiri.
"Alright assuming you both hear me, the devices are called Digivices. There are differing models, you three, human and Digimon pairing, are known as Tamers. Those Digivices, they help you Digivolve your partner to higher levels faster then they could on their own, powered by each of your minds and emotions. Tamers apparently have many types of Digivice models but they all do the same thing." She explained as she was trying to keep it simple for the most part, not throwing every type of human and Digimon relationship at the two at once. Though she had a feeling Arika's journalistic instincts would pick up on the fact Kai's Xros Loader Digivice was a drastically different model from the others. However she glossed over the fact for now as she was not sure how to explain the fact that she had ten partners to the girl and she would never amount to half of that in case she was somehow jealous.
"Other features include being able to access the gateways to the Digital World. You'll find a powered terminal in the Shibuya river, as well as one in the abandoned station of the Shibuya Train Station. Your Digivices act as essentially a key pass that activates eithers respective methods of taking you to the Digital World. There are a few other features, but they are add-on stuff you can get in Terminus, the city you'll wind up in if you take the pass through the Train station." She explained a bit before she would grab a notepad from her blazer pocket and the pen as she wrote an abridged variant of the instructions she gave before ripping it off, handing it to Arika. "I am only telling you this so if you have to chase journalism about Digimon, you do it in the Digital World, or over Tamernet, I find you posted anything about them in this world, I won't be able to protect you." She said with a grim look on her face.
"Digimon look cute and cuddly now, but they can grow into monsters. I nearly got ripped apart by a drugged up one, I nearly died in a place that Limbo could take notes from with my friend dying on my back, and also a few days ago, I had a giant dark warrior with two different Digimon's heads for arms pointing a cannon right at me turning me hostage. Still excited?" She said trying to see where Arika stood. She made a mental note to hook her up with Ollie sometime in the future.

"..." Okay, it sounds like...whatever this job is, is dangerous if this girl went through all that turmoil. What, were they given Digivices so they can help keep the people of this world in the dark about Digimon like that American movie involving extraterrestrials? Wait, does that mean...?
"Uhhh...kinda? But wait, what's this about doing journalism in this Digital World, and does that make them aliens?" she excitedly asked.
"BO!" Suddenly, the Botamon was pulled off of Taki's head, dropping to the ground. It zipped around in a circle before darting into the bushes.
"I think he got scared, but he's just hiding in the bushes, Ms. Arika." said her Kopurimon said, bouncing over to the bushes and looking in them.
"Hm?" Leaning down, she saw the black creature hiding there, glaring at her. She remembered that Kopurimon used to be this metal mouse that acted the same way. She relaxed around her when she gave her a treat, and then grew into some raccoon head. But since this is Taki's Digimon...
"Here, give it this," she said to Taki, handing him some M&Ms.

Takiyo Hirotais more confused.
"AAGH!!" And the Calumon managed to pull the little demon off his face, allowing him to desperately grasp for air. That thing was trying to suffocate him. Was it trying to suck his blood or something? "Cute, huh...?" he bitterly grumbled, rubbing his face.
And he saw the little creep shoot around them before launching into the bushes, thank goodness. Probably would've been a headache to keep around, anyways. But the Kopurimon said that thing hasn't left. Just hiding now. And now Arika wants him to feed it after it attacked him?
"...uuuugh," he groaned, knowing that he can't leave it behind. Taking the candy, he knelt down, looking into the bushes. "...if I give you this, promise that you won't try to suck my face in." And he tossed a single candy to the little Digimon.
"Bo?" Sniffing at the candy, it carefully ate it... "Bo!" And excitedly lit up. Taki dropped the M&Ms outside the bushes before it came out and practically sucked up the candy.
"Alright, so what to do with-"
And suddenly, the black Digimon lit up as bright as a blinding light bulb. Its body grew slightly in size, growing long ribbon-like ears, and more defines eyes and mouth while turning pink.  That pretty much took him by surprise."...what the...?" But then again, the lady did say that they can grow bigger and meaner.

Kai mentioning she had been held hostage by digimon brought up bad memories that had mostly faded for Ryuji with one of them being his first day in the Digital World and being held hostage by DemiDevimon and then months later being kidnapped by a Buraimon and the birdman planning on selling him into slavery. The memories of Buraimon were by far the most unpleasant but at least he Yoshihiro had help when rescuing him in both instances cause he didn't know if his Calumon partner could of handled either situation on his own.
After Yoshihiro had pried the Botamon off of Taki the small digimon behaved as most frightened baby digimon and scrambled into the bushes to hide. Before he moved forward he noticed Ryuji and asked "Hey, Ryuji, are you okay?"
Ryuji snapped back into reality at Yoshihiro's voice and looked at the small digimon floating near him before he said "Yeah. I'm okay, I guess. Just Kai mentioning some of her less than pleasant memories in the Digital World brought up bad memories of my own. I'll be okay though."
Yoshihiro knew with Ryuji it wasn't an act and turned back to the others watching as Taki began offering the face sucking Botamon M&Ms and the little one came out of hiding before digivolving before their eyes into a form that was probably bigger than Yoshihiro himself. "Even I didn't make it to my in training form within minutes of hatching but I forget sometimes digimon mature at different rates." Yoshihiro said as he looked at the newly digivolved Koromon. Maybe now that the little guy had some food in him he wouldn't be leaping at people's faces.

"Possible as well that the joy of any contact with another living being plus the emotional spike from the boy's anxiety was enough to accelerate the process along for the Digivolution. From what I hear, going to In-Training form doesn't take much at all." She shrugged as she responded to Yoshihiro's guess as to the quick evolution. She would then try to think of how best to address the girl's remark about Digimon being aliens. "Technically yes, from our perspective in this world they are aliens, beings from another dimension. Once we enter the Digital World where Digimon are the norm, humans are technically the aliens. depends on what world your on." She explained a bit more as she would try to show how the term aliens applied bothways in this instance.
"And as you can see, Digimon can radically change forms when the Digivolve up a grade. Right now both of yours look to be in the second stage, In-Training. Rookie will follow after, and that's where things get, chaotic. Rookies are when Digimon start to really have limbs, some fly, some are on fire. It depends on luck honestly." She said as she would be trying to warn the two of the dangers ahead of living with their Digimon partners.

Readying himself incase this one wants to latch onto his face, too, "...wait, emotional spike? Are these guys like...alien emotion vampires or something? Because I'm pretty sure that my anxiety is enough to power a third-world country!"
"Hey! Who you callin' a vampire?" the little creature growled. "Whatever that means."
Staring at him in shock, "...he can talk?!"
"I can talk too, sir. All In-Trainings can," said Kopurimon.
"Oh, so the last one was just a baby, huh? Makes...sort of sense." Like, how do they just instantly learn how to talk? "So...what are you?"
Glaring at him, he proudly responded, "Well, I'm Koromon. It means 'Brave Little Warrior', and I'm the bravest warrior there is!"
"No, it doesn't," Kopurimon corrected.
"Yes, it does!" Koromon childishly argued.
Oh great. He's got a Digimon who's all talk and no bite...well, with those teeth, he probably has a lot of bite if he too latch onto his face. "Oh boy..."

And the clarification from Kai that they ARE aliens just made Arika's eyes sparkle. Since she was very young, she loved alien movies and cartoons. She always wanted to meet aliens, which was part of the reason why she wants to be a reporter; to uncover government secrets about aliens. Well, she actually did, but sadly, she can't reveal those secrets to the public or it might become that ET movie.
But hey, she actually has an alien pet with alien tech, and probably is going to go to an alien world to be a reporter for said aliens.
This was so cooooooool!!!
And Arika kept zipping around the area, taking pictures of Taki's Digimon who just Digivolved.
"Ms. Arika, what are you doing?" Kopurimon asked.
"Oh you know, just to satisfy my journalism instincts and save this for memory. I'm not gonna expose this to the human public, just so you know." Giggling, she gave a smug grin at Taki. "Heh. Looks like you have your work cut out for you, Taki."
"Oh, be quiet," he grumbled.
