Here she was the Western Flatlands. It seemed to have mostly sand and little else but the average digimon knew better as things were not always how they seemed. Why was Lilly out in the desert? That was easy enough to answer as she had heard rumors of a phantom castle appearing out in the sands. So curiosity taking front and center the magical Guilmon made her way through the desert looking for any clue to find this supposed castle even if faint.
Lilly stared out over the beautiful shimmering sand before her sapphire eyes locked onto something sticking out of the sand. Her eyes widened as she trotted over to the item and bent down to begin digging until what looked like a tan digimental with leopard print and what looked like cat ears on it appeared after her efforts. What was a digimental doing out here formerly half buried. Sure they could appear anywhere but she had never heard of them being somewhere not even remotely secured or even out of the elements as digimentals were apparently usually handled with great care before ending up in the hands or paws of other digimon.
Scrunching her face she reached out grabbing onto either side of the digimental feeling there was great magic thrumming in the digimental. This was definitely a stronger one than Lilly's other digimental that allowed her to become Witchmon so if she was able to grab this one she could become an armor ultimate form. Her heart raced with excitement at the prospect as she tugged on the digimental it popping up out of the sand effortlessly. Holding it gently in her paws she rose to her feet bouncing a bit in joy as she realized it was definitely meant for her. Just what would she become. Maybe she should try it out. "Digi Armor Energize!" She exclaimed. Little did she know there was someone observing her just out of range of her empathic senses.

Rai was once again letting his partner Y2K, a sweet if strange Keramon, drag him wherever the little weirdo wanted across the digital world. This has today gone surprisingly well. Nothing's gone wrong. No weird encounters, just--
A familiar light shone out in the distance. Someone was digivolving if he wasn't mistaken... (If there was a particular light that set armor digivolution from normal digivolution, he hadn't bothered to remember.) "That probably means trouble..." Rai sighed.
"H-hey!" Rai just more than droned as his partner began to practically sprint in the direction of the light while Rai held onto his finger, forcing Rai to run with him or let the little guy run away from him--and Y2K was definitely intent on dragging his human partner with him.
"And of course we are running straight towards trouble...!" he half droned, half groused. "Do you -have- to run headlong towards everything that seems remotely interesting?"
"Yes! Wanna see, Wanna See!" the Keramon replied enthusiastically to Rai's guarded exasperation.
What was it now?

Hana's first major trip with her new bike, and she was already in love with it. It was absolutely beautiful, rides like a dream, and the fact it was made of Chrome Digizoid means it'll be able to take quite a bit of abuse before breaking. Which was good, since it took Hana a bit to learn to ride it even after she managed to get her motorcycle license. Truly, it was her best birthday gift ever.
Back to her current trip, Hana was currently riding her awesome bike through the sand while Data flew above her in his Guardromon form. Rush was currently napping in Hana's backpack with his head poking out, the bike's vibrations having lulled him to sleep. Yeah, Hana was well aware she needed to get a sidecar at some point for her partners, but she'd have to save money for that first.
Eventually, Hana had to stop her bike in order to stretch her legs a bit and drink some water, setting up her bike's kickstand to keep it from falling over into the sand. Not wanting to wake Rush, Hana gently lifted the Morphomon out of her backpack and set him on the seat of the bike so she could grab the water out of her pack.
Taking a sip of water from one of her water bottles, Hana called up to Data, who was still circling overhead. "How's it looking up there, Data?"
"Look's clear, I think. I don't see anything- no, wait! We've got a sand twister incoming! Take cover!" Data responded, quickly descending back to the ground. As the sand twister approached, Data held onto Hana and bent over, using his metal body as a makeshift shelter to protect his partner from the oncoming wind and sand. It wasn't until it was too late that the duo realized they'd forgotten something important, as the twister ended up picking Hana's bike (and a harshly-awoken Rush along with it) right up and carrying them away.
Poor Rush was freaking out as the winds of the twister kept pulling him farther from his family. The poor Morphomon was being spun around so much that he was getting really dizzy, which wasn't helping him in the emotional department. "MAAAMAAAA!"
Eventually, the twister would end up depositing Rush and the bike a fair distance away. "Depositing" in this case meaning that Hana's bike ended up halfway-buried in the sand from the force of the impact, while a dizzy, panicking Rush wound end up accidentally bouncing off the newly-armor digivolved Lilly and landing face-down in the sand by her feet.

Unaware of the other travelers in the desert Lilly began to glow magically as she raised her paws into the air her very body changing shape in a transformation akin to one from a magical girl anime. Soon the young dinosaur had taken on a more humaniod appearance as she was now what appeared to be a cat girl wearing a viel. "Beastmon!" Lilly exclaimed as the transformation ended. As she was looking at herself a sensation of fear was picked up mere seconds before a bike was roughly deposited in the sand the sound startling Lilly causing her release a crocodilian squeak of fright. Then a dizzy Morphomon bounced off of her.
Looking down at the little digimon Lilly blinked her sapphire eyes as her new cat ears that were on her head twitched in curiosity before she asked "Hey there, are you alright?" Something about this Morphomon felt familiar but she couldn't put her finger on what. She then knelt down next to Rush and asked "Where did you come from? Usually Morphomon aren't known for crashing out of the sky like that. Were you with someone?"
Meanwhile out of sight was a figure watching and it was still out of range but gradually moving closer. It seemed the princesses' lost power was found by some youngster and it seemed she was destined to wield the princesses' power.

As the image ahead began to much come clearer a freak dust devil-- could he still call it a dust devil? It was kinda big-- looked like it erupted on the other side of what looked like a... okay he'd never seen a digimon like that before-- and he was running a bit too fast to reliably pull out his digivice to check!
He still wasn't sure that would even work from this distance, estimating he was about 30 meters away and running as fast as a Keramon's weird little tendril tips would carry him... which was surprisingly fast!
Something small and white he couldn't quite make out wound up with the mystery digimon ahead... another digimon probably.
He was in judo club, not track. Making a sudden 100 meter dash was not on his list of things to do unless he was running for his life. Y2K did not seem to notice.
"Y2K slow down, please." he gently raised his voice so he was sure his partner would hear him. Y2K decided this meant 'make a full stop' and Rai and Y2K quickly began tumbling over each other as result.

As he slowly regained his wits, Rush pushed himself back onto wobbly feet, coughing out quite a bit of sand as he did so. Being blown away by a twister was something the little Morphomon never wanted to experience ever again. When he realized that Hana and Data weren't with him, immediately started to panic a bit. After all, he was now in an unfamiliar place while separated from his family.
When Lilly spoke up from behind Rush, the Morphomon immediately let out a frightened squeak and fluttered around out of reflex. It wasn't until he stopped and turned around that he actually saw the Beastmon standing over him. Rush didn't recognize Lilly at all in her current, since she was just a little Gigimon the last time he met her. No, his own panic and fear ended up twisting his perception to the point that the Beastmon looked to him like a snarling beast of claws and fangs.
That was much as the poor kid could take, as his eyes started watering and his mouth wavered. In mere moments, Rush had turned into a crying mess, eyes gushing as he let out a terrified wail. "Weeeehhh, I wanna go ho-h-hoooome!"

Lilly watched as the Morphomon, who was giving her a vibe that made him seem familiar to her, freaked out after she asked if he was okay. That voice however sounded familiar to her causing her to blink her sapphire eyes in surprise before she asked "Wait. Rush? Is that you? Where is Hana and Data then?" Then she as she dedigivolved said "It's me, Lilly. I have digivolved since you've seen me last."
Then she wiggled her ears as she picked up the sound of footsteps coming their way. It was a teen boy with a Keramon. Apparently the Keramon had quite the interesting name too. Said Keramon came to a sudden stop when his tamer asked him to slow down. This resulted in the pair tripping over each other. "Hey you two. Are you both okay?" Lilly asked keeping her distance from Rush at least until the Morphomon had calmed down somewhat. Hopefully they would find Hana and Data soon.

The Keramon responded to the inquiry about their wellbeing with an energetic "Hellooo!"
Rai sighed heavily and gently shifted his partner off of him so he could stand, before brushing himself off with a mask of indifference. This digimon didn't seem hostile at least. Not that they couldn't have been... or mightn't turn out to be after all given the wrong move. "I think so... Thanks for asking..." he still droned flatly, despite being seemingly out of breath...
Y2K got back to his... toes maybe--could you call them toes--? And the two proceeded finish by closing the rest of the thankfully short distance at an easy pace.
"Hello!" Y2K greeted cheerfully swaying like a balloon in an invisible breeze in front of the cat-mon.
"You already said that..." Rai said slightly exasperated.
"I know! I wanted to say it again!" the Keramon insisted.
Still catching his breath, Rai glanced to the small bawling digimon, "Are -they- okay?" he asked with a raised eyebrow to the cat girl.
The little white digimon sounded like a small child crying for their mother, which honestly concerned him.

Lilly explaining who she was did manage to calm Rush down once he actually remembered who Lilly was, his crying fading to little more than watery eyes and an occasional whimper. "L-lilly? I thought you were a d-dragon?"
However, the sudden arrival of Y2K and Rai, who literally tumbled over each other, startled the heck out of Rush. This caused him to suddenly fly behind Lilly and latch onto her back, where he nervously peeked out at the two newcomers over Lilly's shoulder. "Ahh! Stranger danger! Stranger danger!"
As he clung onto Lilly, Rush gathered his energy and spat out a Fairy Bullet straight up into the air, where it exploded. This would act like an emergency flare so that Data and Hana would have an easier time finding him.
Meanwhile, back with Hana and Data, Hana was also freaking out over Rush being blown away. Also her new bike, but mostly about Rush. The teen was running circles around Data in a panic, until Data happened to see the "flare" Rush set off in the distance. The Guardromon then grabbed Hana and turned her around so that she could see the Fairy Bullet as well.
"Okay, no time to waste! Data, activate Super Digivolution!" Hana exclaimed as she pulled out her Digivice. Data nodded as he digivolved into Megadramon, immediately flying off towards Rush's location as soon as Hana climbed on his back.

Lilly took notice of how excited the Keramon seemed to be and the young Guilmon smiled at both Y2K and his partner Rai before she said "Hello there." When Rai asked if Rush was okay Lilly looked at the Morphomon before she said "I think he is. He is just separated from his family which explains why he is frightened. If I was in the same boat I would also be freaked out too."
Then Lilly decided to answer Rush's question given she didn't have an armor form last time they met. "Well I still am a dragon, Rush. I just found some kind of digimental out here in the desert. I sure wasn't expecting being able to become some kind of cat girl at the armor champion level. I keep forgetting how wild armor digivolution can be."
When Rush freaked out screaming stranger danger Lilly was about to say something before the young Morphomon spat his Fairy Bullet up into the air. The attack exploded so Lilly knew someone was bound to notice it. "Rush take it easy. Judging by the emotions those two are giving off I don't think they mean us any harm. Besides if they did I'm sure we could defend ourselves well enough if necessary."

"A dragon...? I guess digimentals can turn anything into just about anything else can't they...?" Rai mused still panting. "What? You can read our emotions like waves or something?" That perturbed him slightly. Were empaths a thing? Why wouldn't they be a thing?
"Missing Family?" asked Y2K twisted his head to the side, first holding it at a 90 degree angle, before beginning angling his head in all odd directions and waving his the backs of his hands around as if they were frantic eye stalks.
He was looking at everywhere--or at least doing his best to accomplish this. To someone who didn't comprehend his actions, he probably looked like he was having some sort of a fit.
Suddenly he stopped, and pointed at the sky while the top of his head presently remained planted on the sand next to his tenta-toes. "Flying thing! Flying thing incoming! Digivolve?"
Rai hesitated. Digivolving would definitely be considered a hostile action--and if he could avoid the post digivolution munchies for Y2K that would be all kinds of helpful. "No. Maybe thats them." he droned flatly.

Honestly, it was easy to see how Y2K could interpret an incoming Megadramon as a potential threat (especially one that's flying in at full speed). Of course, Rush was able to tell that the Megadramon was indeed his older brother, since he could feel it through their twin bond. The little Morphomon was so happy that he hopped away from Lilly and floated towards the incoming dragon.
Without missing a beat or slowing down, Data used his mechanical claws to snatch Rush out of the air, before passing his brother up to the human passenger on his back while Data moved to land (kicking up some sand with his wingbeats in the process).
After touching down, Hana slid down from Data's back, holding Rush in a tight hug. The fact that Rush was giggling and returning the hug should make it quite clear that these were indeed the family he was trying to reunite with.
"My baby! Thank god you're okay! I was so worried about you." Hana said, eyes watering with relief that Rush was safe.
"It's okay, mama! It'll take more than a sandstorm to hurt me." Rush said, putting on a brave act as he tried to hide the fact that he was a sobbing wreck just a few minutes ago. As the two were talking, Data moved his tale to loosely wrap around his brother and partner, taking up a defensive stance as he kept a watchful eye on the three people he didn't recognize.

"Yeah apparently so and I though my last digimental was interesting." Lilly said before Rai asked about reading their emotions. Then she nodded and said "Yup. I'm an empath like my grandpa on Daddy's side. I don't know if waves is an accurate description more like a pulse or something like that." As for Y2K he seemed to be looking for Rush's family even if it looked like the Keramon was experiencing some kind of fit.
Soon Y2K announced seeing a flying thing and asked about digivolving only for Rai to tell him no. Then the flap of wings caused Lilly to twitch her ears looking up seeing a Megadramon arrive and apparently this was Data as Rush floated towards the large dragon. When Data snatched Rush out of the air and passed his brother to a relieved Hana, Lilly was feeling Data's emotions and was trying to remain looking as unthreatening as possible. She took notice of Data's posture and, thinking quickly, dedigivolved back into her rookie form of Guilmon before she stepped forward and said "Data wait! It's me Lilly. No one here means any harm." She was holding up her paws in a placating manner while speaking calmly and gently hoping that she would be believed.

Rai witnessing Lily indeed turn into a red dragon type monster, would go over and with some effort pick up his partner Y2K and hold him almost like one would a doll or cat, with his arms under the Keramon's bulbous head and longer lankier arms.
"Its okay buddy. This is fine." he told his great blue jellyfish in a flat and quiet tone trying to keep things calm.
"Looks like new friends! Go and meet them! Yes yes!" Y2K replied, immediately beginning to squirm, but there was no way he was fitting his head through the hole made by Rai's arms. Instead his many thin tendrils that masqueraded as a lower body unwrapped from each other and began to squiggle and writhe anxiously in all directions while he waved his arms over his head enthusiastically, uttering his favorite word.
"HELLLOO!"
Right. Calm. That thing that didn't exist. Silly me. Rai thought with mild exasperation. Its not as if the situation seems threatening though.
Rai took a few tentative steps forward, made a bit more difficult than average by his blue buddy that wasn't holding still. "Uh... I'm Rai. This is Y2K. He wants to say hello." he said with an almost vacant tone. He silently hoped that huge dragon wasn't going to just roast them somehow.
Of course if he actually thought they were in danger, Rai would have split already. But another part of his brain found was hard to ignore a large cyborg dragon that looked like it could just obliterate them if it felt like it.

Seeing as Lilly and the others weren't trying to start a fight, Data nodded at them and dialed back the tense aura of caution that was radiating off of him. He still maintained his stance, but it was clear that he wasn't gonna attack or anything. "Lilly. It's good to see you again."
"Oh, Lilly's here?" Hana exclaimed, only having just noticed that the trio wasn't alone. The teen shifted Rush around until he was clinging to her back, piggyback-style, as she climbed up onto Data's tail and waved at the young Guilmon. "Hi, Lilly! How's it going?"
Of course, Hana would be distracted from her reunion with Lothar and Mandrake's daughter when Y2K and Rai made their introductions (Rai's greeting obviously being much more reluctant than his partner's). "Oh, whoops! Didn't even see you guys there! I'm Hana, by the way. Nice to meet you guys!"
As Hana tried to get a better look at Rai and Y2K, she accidentally leaned a bit too far forward, and ended up tumbling face-first into the sand. She recovered quickly though, getting to her feet moments later as she dusted the sand off of herself (and spitting some out of her mouth, too). "I'm okay! I'm okay! *ptooey* Blech, it got in my mouth."
The flat look visible on Data's face at that moment was one of someone who had seen stuff like this happen way too often, and was clearly done with it.
