Singularity [Situational]

Late afternoon. It's just right before the school club finally done for the day in whatever sort of late practice they're doing. While normally there would be no people at the main building, one room in particular is still lit. Four person are inside... well, if you count digimon as person too that is, and is currently talking about something.
"I see," a man with long ponytail concluded after hearing the report. His cyan blue eyes locked on the report paper that he just received few minutes ago. "...I honestly could not really explain the phenomenon of how you could be pulled to the world between like that, but... Full glad I am that a kouhai returned to this side safely."
"Still, we cannot discount of how terrifying it must be. The fact that they pulled someone to that side..." Hikaru began, shuddering at the imagination. "...Yet that beggars the question if they will pull just about anyone that's chosen, or... more specificly, just more... ah, 'special' ones?"
"What do you mean, sensei?" Daichi asked, feeling like he was being mentioned.
"...Shiki-kun, what you have with you, that Digimon... I have never heard or seen any of them before you see. Assuming that this world's digital world only have a single server, then I'm absolutely clueless about that one. Even if you know that he's a Vishamon, it's almost like the Digimon database, without scanning him, does not have any information about him."
"Our data repository also does not have any reported Digimon who looked similar to him," Yuuki commented. "Even if we just say that the horn is similar to something else, that's... not really a good trait indication. Just a single trait being common doesn't help in identifying a Digimon's common branch."
"Does human world technique of identifying a creature works for Digimon?" Daichi asked.
"Nope," Yuuki answered bluntly. "Digimon shares traits now and then but most of the time it's more to denote possible chances of evolutionary ties. Yet at the same time that's... not exactly the rule either. But I guess we all can agree that Geo.. is very unique."
"Mmm?" Geo inquisitively asked, tilting his head.
"....Also, the appearance of the Singularity..." Hikaru muttered
"Singularity?"
"I can't really say it in any other way. That Agumon X... is he truly an Agumon X? Or more like a factor that somehow looked like an Agumon X?" Hikaru turned the question around. "You did said that he used attacks that are not how normally an Agumon X would call their attack... not to mention, the fact that he can sense the world... it just tells me that... they're a singularity. An Entelechy... I'm sorry, it's alright if you didn't follow, all I'm saying that for a Digimon, he's terribly suspicious. Not in bad way mind, but more to like... what, exactly are we facing here? The knowledge about Frags... about the Aberrants..."
"...Do you feel it's related to our stagnation?" Yuuki asked.
"Perhaps... I wouldn't dare to put a hypothesis on it... but I feel it might be related."

Along with these four would be four more, two humans and two Digimon: Yuji Moriyama and Kazuo, who were both involved with the incident at hand, and Kaya Matsui and Hawkeye, who had both caught wind of whatever the hell happened and demanded to be in the know about whatever potential new threat was going on some time after he and Daichi returned... well, Kaya did so more than Hawkeye, at least. Yuuki and Hikaru knew who Kaya and Hawkeye were, but Daichi and Geo would've had to have been introduced to them before this meeting started.
Hikaru stated how he couldn't imagine how terrifying being on that other side was like. "It was the most scared I had ever been in my life," Yuji said, putting his hands in his pockets. "The only thing that actually happened was that there was a big gust of wind, and then suddenly we were somewhere else entirely. Not to mention those monsters that were chasing after us."
"I'm sorry I wasn't there," Kaya said to Yuji. "I left school a bit earlier that day. If I had just stuck around a little bit longer..."
"Then we would've been trapped in that area as well, Kaya. There's no blame that needs to be dealt, Kaya."
Hikaru then brought up Daichi, and how his partner Digimon was a Digimon that had not been discovered before and, to anyone's knowledge, is the only one that exists. "At first glance, 'Geo' here reminds me of a Hackmon, but really only in the general shape."
"Nah, he can't be related to a Hackmon, since he doesn't have a cool tethered cape."
It was unanimously agreed that Geo was a very unique Digimon. It was sure to be an eye-catching topic for most that encountered him or have heard of him... a Vishamon, an entirely unique one-of-a-kind Digimon species... most Digimon can't say they were the only one of their kind, after all. But then Hikaru moved the discussion to something else: the Singularity.
"Do you mean that Agumon?" Kazuo asked.
"Wait, what Agumon?"
"There was an Agumon X there with us. He didn't seem that off to me at first, but then he started talking about stuff that a Digimon in his position shouldn't possibly know of. But without him, Daichi and I... well, we'd probably be dead."
As Hikaru explained more, however, it was clear that there was indeed something off about this Agumon X that they made. The way he used his attacks and the way he could sense the world. It wasn't suspicious in a bad way, but it was still a bit weird how this was all panning out. Plus the fact that these Frags and Aberrants are appearing made it clear that whatever was happening, it wasn't normal.
"Speaking of the Aberrants, that's why Hawkeye and I are here," Kaya said. "That event last week, the one all the teachers were warning us about not staying past night time about. I know that was a Shademon attack and it almost killed one of my friends, Johan Walker. Now what I'm hearing from Yuji is that these Aberrants are not only getting dangerous powers, but they're also targeting Chosen humans like us, is that right? What are we supposed to do? Are we even safe anymore?"

It was one thing to have some weird stuff be happening in the real world, that much was certain. It was another to be personally requested to come along. So thought the Kotemon who had named himself Mantis. It was pretty odd to see a man in a tuxedo walking around the school, but given he was accompanied by a pale white girl who seemed to be on her last year of Elementary...
Yeah, they knew exactly where they were going. The door slid open and they slipped in without much fanfare in the middle of some conversation regarding...terms that neither of the two had heard before. Plus a Digimon that was never seen before (that had been heard before, though)...
"...Professor Lux. I apologize for the brusque intrusion. An...Agumon X?" The man spoke, deactivating his holosuit to reveal himself as none other than...Praying Mantis. The signal was unmistakable to those who knew the Kotemon. Miyako, meanwhile, just gave a bow. "Sorry we're...a bit late. It's good to see the people I recognize again and nice to meet the people I don't know."

"The realm between, the world of Frags, is it..." Hikaru muttered. "From what it sounded like... It's basically like being spirited away to some place that's neither here nor there, but still related to Digital World..."
"We have been spirited away quite a lot ourselves, don't we?" Yuuki amusedly commented.
"But for those who have never, I'm sure that it's scary. It's like being kidnapped without actually able to defend for yourself in the extraction process. We also don't know exactly when Aberrants are attacking or anything like that, all we knew from the information is that they'll prioritize chosen and their Digimons..."
and another one appeared just then. Hikaru nodded. "Hello, Mantis. Long time no see... and hello, young miss Isa. And yes, it's as you said... an appearance of Agumon X. Or at least, from what these four gathered, it seemed to be an Agumon X."
"We're debating the nature of the being so to say," Yuuki added. "We think that he might be related to our new enemies in... opposite way."
"An opposition? But... you know, the Frags doesn't react to him at all... Like, his attacks definitely affected them, and he seem to know more about them, but for some reason, those incomplete creature doesn't... react to him at all," Daichi pointed out.
"...Hmmm, then that's a new factor," Yuuki mused. "And how does his data reading felt like? Geo?"
Noticing that he's now called out, Geo stopped munching at the apple that he just recently nabbed from one of Hikaru's parcel. Hikaru did said that he could eat anything there, and seem, like before, he chose apple. His first food back from -that- side.
"Oh, um... how to say... it's distinct, but... different."
"Different?" Hikaru asked.
"...It feels like... happiness, friendship, bravery, yearning, love... the desire of wanting to be together put together in a bundle. They don't came from a single source. It feels like... his signal is bursting with all the good things that makes you all happy and just feeling nostalgic. It feels like, everything will be alright. It feels like, when you took your first step and you love it."
"...That... was not the answer I expected for sure."
"I-I'm sorry."
"No, no, I'm not scolding you or anything, I just think that it's an unexpected answer... So you're saying that his data... isn't distinct at all, but more like good pieces of memories bundled together?"
"...Come to think of it. He does register like a Digimon, but at the same time, it feels like the small pieces that made him are also Digimon. It feels like he's... multiple Digimons. However, it's like... trying to spot a single fish in school of fish. You... just lost track of which Digimon that made that bundle... all that you can see is the fact that it made him... well, 'him'."
Hikaru squinted at that. "...Hmn, that... was new."
Still, there's a question that need answering. "...From what we know we unfortunately cannot do anything as of now. We're... ultimately, sitting ducks. However, all thing considered we're lucky that they're mostly attacking at school. They have numbers, but so do we in this campus. We can react almost immediately if there's something related to the Aberrants. We cannot say what you should do at this moment other than to keep your Digimon close with you always.
If I have more concrete strategy I'll definitely tell you all but... for the meantime? I do not have any. I as a teacher will keep strictly monitoring any potential rumors that is, but... Frankly, I think if it comes to this point, we might need another real world based team that will work together with AEGIS and have their back up. Problem is... the capital and the support I guess."

Two more joined the group while Hikaru was talking. It appeared to be a young girl accompanied by an old man in a white tuxedo, who soon after deactivated his holosuit and revealed that he was a Kotemon. This... girl was a Tamer? She was so young... Kaya assumed it was alright, since she herself was very young when she first met Hawkeye. With Yuji, however, it just made him even more worried that other kids her age would be targeted by these Aberrants.
Now the discussion had shifted to the Agumon X itself, the one Daichi and Yuji had met in the other side. "Yeah, it was definitely an Agumon X," Kazuo claimed. "It couldn't have been anything else."
Based on what the others were saying, it had come to the consensus that this Agumon X was related to the Frags, but in an opposing way. His attacks affected them and he knew everything about them, yet the Frags themselves didn't seem to acknowledge his existence. "I can back up what he's saying," Yuji spoke up. "This Agumon X knew everything we needed to know about the Frags, and as far as the Frags were concerned, he just didn't even exist."
Then Geo was called to speak up while he was monching on his apple. As he described the feeling, Kazuo was surprised to hear just how similar Geo's feeling from the Agumon X actually was from Kazuo's. "Yeah, that's the same feeling I got from him, too! I just felt... happy around him, like how happy I was when I was first bonded with Yuyu."
Hawkeye, however, just simply wasn't buying any of this. "There is no possible way that a Digimon could feel all of that simply from a data reading."
"But it's true, Hawkeye! If you were there, you'd feel it, too!"
What Geo had to say next was... interesting. "So... does that mean he's a Jogress? A DigiXros? An amalgamation of some kind? I don't get it."
"All of this is hurting my head."
"Mine, too..."
As much as no one wanted to hear it, someone had to say it: they were all pretty much sitting ducks when it came to the Aberrant threat. The only silver linings that could come from this situation is that they've mostly just been attacking the school at this point, and thankfully there were plenty of Chosen people at this school ready to fight them. "If I may play devil's advocate here, simple numbers may not be enough. Take the Shademon, for example; it was able to isolate Chosen and defeat them immediately with one fell swoop."
"Well, what else can we do? This isn't like anything any of us have faced before. For once, it's us specifically that are in danger, not the world or the ones we care about: us specifically."
"I'm with Yuji on this one, Hawkeye. It's gonna be fine anyways. We're both strong and smart; if an Aberrant does attack, we'll be ready." A few days later, that statement would prove to age as well as milk, but we'll get to that soon enough... Kaya was still worried, but she was trying to stay at least somewhat optimistic despite the fact that she wanted to throw up from anxiety right now.

Both Miya and Mantis alike were on edge. Namely because threats like this weren't ever supposed to pop up in the real world. Twice now...How...Guh. She just shook her head to force herself to focus. "That's a lot of...unique traits." She noted.
"I almost want to meet him myself if it didn't entail running into these things...Luckily we're all seeming to be on the same page. We have numbers, but if they're able to just win with a single fell swoop, we need to prioritize survival above all else."
It was then that Mantis seemed to come out of his ruminations. "What else are we to do -other- than run." He spoke plainly. "Moreover, it's not something to take lightly if it's targetting -you.- If we get spirited away to their world, we should...most likely focus on finding why they'd pop up in the real world. Or spirit us away for that matter."

"no no, it doesn't feel like that. There's one core, but there are tons of pieces, like several mini-cores that are uniting and making this looks... right, I think I get how to describe it! It's like looking at pineapple!" Geo pointed out.
"...Pineapple... yeah, that makes sense," Hikaru nodded. "So you're saying each cells are kind of different but they forms one shape of a fruit. Technically, they're amalgamation that shaped the look of a pineapple." it might be a bit strange and confusing, but finally there's a head and tail end to the mystery... even if it feltl like an illusion.
"I understand, but at the same time I guess... we can't exactly pinpoint where they will attack and when. We can't exactly monitor all Digital Rifts either," Hikaru pointed out.
"Wait, all of you... listen, I might... have slight answer for this." Yuuki suddenly declared. He pulled the wheeled whiteboard and wrote "FRAG", "UNPARTNERED DIGIMON" and "ABERRANT" on the board. "So... according to what was told... Aberrant were Digimons, unpartnered, that most likely had negative thoughts about humans." he wrote on the board. "So at that moment, these Digimon's darker emotions are then amplified... which causes them to behaves erratically and violently."
But at the same time, he underscored the sentence about "humans". "...The Aberrant, they don't necesssarily targets just us. Which means they're actually targeting Humans, but then when chosens are present then they specifically switch their target to us, because at that point, the Frag in them targets us... Which means... This might be a bigger scale than we previously thought. It might be prudent to lend our ears to any rumors that come."
Unfortunately... "Sadly I don't have answer for your question, Mantis. But all that we know is there have yet to be any rumors pertaining to being spirited away from any of the normies," Hikaru answered. "...Though there have yet to be any report being pulled away to the Fragworld either... at least none except for you---"
....Could it be?
"Sensei?" Daichi asked.
"...No, please don't worry. I will not not say anything more at the moment. It's still a conjecture at the moment, and I... wouldn't dare to voice it out loud, but..."
"..."
"I'm sorry, but all I can say is perhaps it's best for you to move with at least one extra chosen, Shiki-kun. Lest something like this happened again."
"...You... don't think it have something to do with me, do you?"
Hikaru sighed. "...I do, I'm sorry, but I felt like it have something to do with Geo. Like, Geo is probably antithesis of what they stood for... and that's why they'd like to eliminate you."
"!!!"
"Have heart, however. Know that you're not alone. Remember... that in the deepest, darkest despair... is everlasting light of hope."
"...This... sounded like shonen manga or anime, sensei..."
"Is it?" Hikaru asked back rhetorically. "You should get used to it, because that's how we are. That is how life is for us. The difference between life and death is how strongly your heart struggled, defying the fate that's laid in front of you. Remember that, just as we have. Now, do you have anything else?"

Yuji, Kazuo, Kaya and Hawkeye all just kind of stared at Geo with confused expressions when he said that the Singularity was like looking at a pineapple. Hikaru made it make a little bit more sense, but it was still a bit of a confusing description nonetheless.
The overall atmosphere of this meeting was bleak. It seemed that the general consensus was that there was nothing else they could do but run, since more often than not, these Aberrants will have abilities that will cause them to easily win without even getting into combat. Dark thoughts were going into their heads... what if their partners were instantly turned to stone, or mutated into lizard variants, thanks to an Aberrant...? What could they do against something like that?
Yuuki then pulled out a wheeled whiteboard to explain his own points. The Aberrants are unpartnered Digimon taken over by Frags, Digimon that already had negative opinions on humans that the Frags amplify, causing the Digimon in question to act more violently. But then Yuuki underlined the "humans" on the whiteboard, and the group's eyes widened as the information fully set in. "Then... these things aren't just going after Chosen, then," Yuji said.
"They'll attack anyone, partnered or not..." Kaya muttered. She began to feel a bit weak in the knees. Hawkeye could feel his partner growing uneasy, hence why he walked over and held her hand.
"Breathe now, Kaya, it's going to be okay," the Hawkmon said, trying to calm Kaya down.
"Yuyu... I don't like this..."
In terms of the being "spirited away" part, Hikaru mentioned that there were no reports of anyone being pulled away aside from Yuji and Daichi. Though Hikaru seemed to pause when he got to that part. He didn't seem to say anything after that, sadly, only opting to warn Daichi to start traveling with an extra Chosen for safety. "That's likely for the best, but... why Daichi specifically?"
Hikaru would answer this question relatively quickly... he believed that because Geo was the antithesis for what the Frags stood for, then they'd be looking to eliminate him. "What?!" Kazuo cried, his antennae shooting straight up into the air from surprise. "This is all just getting worse and worse by the minute..." Yuji said with a groan.
Was there anything else that needed to be covered? "I don't have anything, but I'll be sure to warn any other Digital World involved humans I meet about what's going on."
"Same here. My friend Adrian's a Tamer living in the Digital World right now, he probably has no clue what's happening here."
