An Egg by any other name... [Open for 1, maybe 2]

Joseph held the egg close in both arms, like one would do a cat or a dog, the strange object's lower half wrapped in his scarf. He looked a bit wild, his pants, shoes and socks soaked and only now slightly drying from his excursion into Shibuya River. He had to get home, or some place safe before he could really spend the time examining and figuring out just what this strange egg was, but first, he needed to replace his pants and shoes. Of course, he knew that this was probably the best place to find replacement clothing, even if it would cost a little more yen then he was hoping to spend today. Plus, who knew who'd try to take advantage of him for being a 'tourist', even if he did live in the country instead of being just a visitor.
His trek into a near-by clothing store was a strange one, because they didn't want him to enter in the state that he was in. After telling them his size and showing that he could pay for it, they laid out a couple paper towels for him to enter into a changing room and switch his pants and put the old ones in a plastic bag, along with his socks and shoes. The pants he got to replace them was a pair of black jeans, slightly 'worn', and he got himself a pair of sandals that would work at least for the trip home. Letting out a sigh at his new appearance, Joseph walked out of the shop, the egg once more cradled against his chest, looking around him, trying to think of how best to return home.
"I have to keep this one safe til it hatches... however long that'll take... whatever this is..." He mused aloud to himself, standing in the middle of the sidewalk, the egg still apparent in his arms.

Marshal was walking around Scramble Crossing, showing Sunmon around. It was a beautiful day out, so he figured it would be nice to take Sunmon out on the town. "This is the busiest intersection in Tokyo," he told his Digimon, who he was holding in his arms as though it were a stuffed animal.
"There sure are lots of people here," Sunmon said, marveling at the surroundings. After looking around at all the people, the little Digimon's gaze fixed on a particular man. The guy was totally soaked from head to toe, as though he had just fallen into a river or something. He looked awfully confused. Something in his arms made Sunmon gasp. "Marshal, look over there!"
Marshal looked down at his partner and turned to look at the man he was staring at. He saw what Sunmon was gasping about. In the man's arms was what seemed to be a Digi-Egg. Before Marshal could even register what he was seeing, the man turned to go into a clothing store. "Should we go after him?" Marshal asked his partner.
"Of course!" Sunmon whispered. The two of them rushed over to the store and waited outside. When the man they were looking for came out, they started to tail him.

Joseph's next destination was without a doubt his home, and he planned to head that way via the transit system. No stops, no one distracting him, just home with this new-found object containing what might just be new life for him to keep safe. For a moment, the thought of one of those 'mangas' came to his mind, about someone finding a strange thing and their life being turned upside down at whatever they have found. That thought caused him to pause for a moment, stopping in his tracks and looking down at the egg, giving the top of it a soft pat. Did he really want to invite such a change into his life? To allow his future to be changed in a manner that was quite different from his current plan? His parents... what would they think if he just decided to follow a strange path?
He couldn't help but smile a bit, thinking about them, knowing that they'd probably support whatever idea he had in mind for himself without hesitation. Heck, perhaps this egg would be the best thing that happened to him since his Aunt and Uncle accepted him into their household. After that last thought, Joseph felt his stomach rumble a bit, and since the egg was so close to his stomach, he thought he heard it react a bit. "Ah... maybe I'm a little hungry... stopping somewhere for a quick bowl of noodles or a burger wouldn't really do us any harm, would it?" He asked the small egg, almost expecting it to respond somehow, but it was silent. Chuckling a bit to himself, Joseph looked around him and after a few moments of trying to figure out what he was really hungry for, he settled on a famous fast food chain.
Heading to a road crossing, Joseph looked around him at those near him, partly to judge their reactions to him, until his eyes locked onto an individual holding a small spherical thing with a face. In fact, the stranger seemed to be holding the thing similar to how he was holding the egg, and a thought arose. Perhaps, there had been more eggs, and this stranger had gotten one as well, and their egg had already hatched into the strange orb. Biting his lip, Joseph turned back to the road in front of him and crossed with the group, making a bee-line straight into the burger joint and placing his order, a burger, some fries, and a shake, before sitting at the back of the restaurant, giving him a good view of the rest of the store.
Joseph was probably being a little paranoid, but he didn't really want to take a chance like that now.

"Marshal, don't lose him!" Sunmon cried. "This could be vitally important!"
"I'm working on it!" Marshal replied. "You keep your eyes on him and I'll navigate." The duo ducked and weaved through people and followed the potential Tamer to a burger shop. They didn't see him sit down, so the two of them scanned the store for any sign of the man.
"Well, I think we may have lost him," Sunmon sighed. "On the bright side, we can eat!"
"Won't argue with that," Marshal agreed, giving his Digimon a big smile. Marshal went up to the counter and ordered two burgers, a large order of fries, and a milkshake. Once he had gathered the food, he carried the bag in one hand while he looked for a quiet place to sit away from people. Once he got to the back of the store, he noticed the man he had been tailing sitting and eating.
"It's you!" he cried. "Hey, I need to talk to you about that Egg!"

Post by Gallatin on Apr 4, 2016 21:45:45 GMT
People turn their heads to the side, craning them as a tall English man walked down the side walk in a flamboyant manner wearing very vibrant colored clothing. Several people whispered and some tried to shake his hand and take photos. He blew them all off though and continued walking in a way that left an ominous air around him. This was Gallatin, loving every second of walking around in hi new Holo-Suit. It was amazing how accurate and realistic it made him look to one of his favorite anime characters. He was about to go strutting down another side walk for kicks, but was interrupted by his growling stomach. He hadn't eaten all day, and was paying the price for it. Not that he couldn't find a food place, but he didn't have any actual money on him besides the bits in his digivice... which sadly were worth nothing in the real world. He needed to get something to eat quick though...
Gallatin walked down the street further and noticed a small, friendly looking burger joint. He was going to walk past it like the rest when an idea struck him. "Hmm... It's not like i'd get caught... So why not, just today!?" He thought to himself. He walked through the doors to the burger shop and came up to the register...
"Hello sir, how may I help you today?" The employee asked him while manning the counter and the cash register. "Would you like to place an order?"
"Um yeah... hmm..." Gallatin asked in his altered deep voice as his eyes scanned the menu on the wall before settling on a reasonably priced food choice. "I'll take a double burger with cheese, a side of fries, and some water."
"Okay then, let me ring that up sir..." The man said, avoiding Gallatin's piercing eyes as he typed into his computer and opened up the register. "That'll be 2165.42 yen with tax." He looked up expecting Gallatin to hand him a credit card or cash as a form of payment.
Gallatin merely smirked, "Here comes the fun part." He thought to himself; The best part of being in his Holo-Suit was that he could "perfectly" blend in with regular people whether or not he was transformed into a digimon. Like in this instance, he was in his Chronamon form underneath his Holo-Suit. "Chrono Break." Gallatin whispered under his breath; a purple tint overcame everything as time froze in place to nobody's awareness other than himself. Working fast, Gallatin reached over the counter and grabbed a hand full of bills from the register before the 2 seconds were up. He stuffed them in his pocket hurriedly, just as the purple tinted surroundings faded away and time resumed, everyone around him going along with their business as they would have normally. He casually pulled out a few of the bills from his pocket and counted them while the employee waited on him patiently. He had 14473 yen in total from his quick theft, to his enjoyment. Gallatin handed 2170 yen to the man and tucked the rest into his pocket.
A few minutes later, the employee came out of the back with his order in a paper bag, which he handed to Gallatin along with a paper receipt. Gallatin accepted it, his hands shaking the entire time, before he hurriedly walked over to a table to admire his prize. "Holy shit, i can't believe I pulled that off." Gallatin whispered to himself before looking around to see if anyone was staring... Oh wait, everyone was staring; he still looked like a giant, flamboyantly dressed man with spiky, golden hair. Gallatin chuckled to himself for a few seconds before glancing at a person that was holding some sort of giant egg in his hands. It looked weird, but he dismissed it and went back to his food. It was Japan, walking around with a giant egg was the least weird thing he had seen here even before all the digimon stuff. He continued on to eat his meal in peace... Until a man yelled out, startling Gallatin into thinking he had been caught for a second before composing himself quickly and realizing he was shouting at the guy with the giant egg he had looked at earlier.

Putting the egg on the table next to his food tray, using the scarf to create a make-shift nest to hold it in place, Joseph unwrapped the burger and took a large bite, looking for any sign of the stranger from before, but feeling a bit at ease that he didn't actually see him enter the restaurant for the moment. Dismissing his worries about there being a person following him, Joseph began to relax and even pulled out his cellphone and opening up a search for strange mysterious eggs appearing. Maybe someone else online had reported on this, so this was as good of chance as any to hopefully find out some information on what he had gotten himself into.
A few bites into his burger and a few fries down the hatch, Joseph was enjoying a sip of his strawberry milkshake when a loud voice startled him, making him cough on his drink. The stranger from before had found him, and even went out of his way to call out too him in the middle of a restaurant, causing Joseph to sit there like a dear caught in the headlights, his heart beating fast. "Um... ah... Ok?" Joseph asked, seeing that the stranger was actually pretty young, maybe not even in his 20s. Joseph was wondering if maybe the egg was for someone else, but he had heard it calling for him, and it seemed pretty pleased with him, at least he thought that it was.
Reaching over and pulling the egg onto his lap, Joseph wrapped an arm around it and took a couple fries and ate them slowly. "Take a seat... maybe you can tell me what this is?" He said, unsure of the situation.

Marshal looked around anxiously at all the nearby people. "It's not safe to talk here," he decided. "Just know that I'm here to help you out. Let's finish eating quietly and get out of here immediately." He turned to his burger immediately and chomped away. He unwrapped the second burger and set it on the seat next to him, where Sunmon quietly ate the whole thing where no one could see him.

Joseph looked at the stranger with a bit of confusion, and simply gave him a little nod before eating a bit more of his burger. He wanted to finish his food quickly to hear more about the strange egg, and he couldn't help but notice the creature was a lot cuter up close. "Alright... alright yeh that's fine I guess." He said, sipping more of his shake and eating a couple fries. Joseph did his best to finish up his food before standing up and nodding to the youth, carrying the egg with him and heading out of the building.
Taking a moment, Joseph patted the top of the egg and whispered to it, "I think this guy might not be too bad... so trusting him should be alright.."

Marshal and Sunmon finished their food and walked outside with the stranger. They walked along the busy Tokyo streets and talked as they went.
"Ok, so first things first," Marshal began. "I'm pretty new to this as well, so I don't entirely understand everything, but I feel like I need to help you out. First off, that's no ordinary egg you're holding. It's a Digi Egg, and it holds a Digimon inside of it, just like my little Sunmon. It's not too safe in public if your egg hatches, because other people aren't supposed to know about them. We have to get to the train station. Name's Marshal, by the way. Nice to meet you."

Joseph looked back in time to see the strange youth and the strange spherical creature come out shortly after he had, and with a nod to him the two of them began their trek down the road. He was ready to hear whatever the youth had to tell him about the creature he had, and about the egg that Joseph had found, and what it would mean for him in the future. He was all ears for the individual, and simply nodded his head at first to what the youth had to say, not wanting to really speak up until he knew some basics.
He looked at the egg when Marshal spoke, and gave it a soft pat on the top of the shell, muttering softy after every couple buzz-words. "Digi-Egg... Digimon..." He then looked over at the small thing that Marshal had, "Sunmon..." He even spoke about making sure that his egg didn't hatch in public because it was supposed to be a secret. "Ah, nice to meet you too Marshal." Joseph said, offering his hand for the other to shake, "I'm Joseph." He added, realizing he didn't give his name.
"So... a Digimon? One of those is going to hatch from this egg... is it going to be like your Sunmon was it... or is it going to be it's own thing?" Joseph asked, wondering what his egg might of held, if it wasn't another creature like Marshal's Sunmon. "Oh, I guess a big question is where did this thing come from anyway? I heard something calling out, and pulled this from a bright light, so I am a tad confused about it's origin. Is it alien?" Joseph asked, looking at Marshal as they approached said Train station.
