The Inn [Part II] [PROFIT]
|

Koharu sat on her room slash office in Snowflake. The inn is going in nicely. With Ilbert, they managed to cut some of the cost. Especially when he also helps in transporting the workers from Terminus. She of course helped as the owner by providing payment and all the food and drinks for the worker. Now, it's going well, about 20%. There's already a small office to be used: hers. Not only that, there are four rooms that's also ready to be used. Furniture in the right place and it's all going well..
...until that time, that is.
The black haired girl's eyes widened when she heard the report from Ilbert. Ryouta out of commission, Ryu and Bellamy broken, and there's these two people she met at Whitewater. The PROFIT's founder was bewildered at this turn of event. Currently, between the Darkdramon and Chaos Dukemon, the girl is looking at the formal resignation document given to her by Bellamy.
"...I see," she muttered, then leaned back to her chair. "I don't know why you even need to do this, but... I think I'll have you to explain more of this in detail, Bellamy... It's just... it's hard to believe that you're going to quit just from this one."
Even Kon-chan who at this point would tell him to just quit this time stayed silent. She apparently understand just how grave the situation was. The Darkdramon merely stood there in silence while evaluating the copies. So does Warg. At times, the Chaos Dukemon's eyes clouded with so many less than happy emotions. Well, can you blame him? Ryu was one of his very few first friends afterall.

Bellamy was shaking as he stood there, his throat oddly constricted. He could tell he was being judged by everyone in the room. Were they thinking the same as Ryu said? That he was just too much of a lovestruck idiot to be a proper functioning part of this organization? Had things not been lucky, Marshall would be dead, Ryouta would be dead, and the Groundramon would have killed Colin and Luke too. By now his tears had dried up for a while now, but his face was still slightly pink, his ears drooping with misery and his tail slumped on the floor.
"It'll be okay, Bellamy" Luke said to his brother gently. "Just tell them the truth, okay? We're right next to you all the way". Colin added his sentiments by gripping Bellamy's shoulder.
"Well... when the battle began, the first thing that appeared was... a dark Ryouta and a Breakdramon" Bellamy said, speaking in a sad monotone. "Marshal evolved Coronamon to Aldamon, and Colin evolved Luke and me to Adult, we stood back while they fought".
The details came trickling back, he had to pause a little between sentences.
"As we watched, Colin managed to unlock our Perfect evolutions and we evolved again" the Impmon continued, trying to feel a little pride in that, but realized all it had done was turned him into a stupid dickhead. "Then a Groundramon ripped open the ground below us, and Colin, Marshal and Luke were slipping down toward it, I managed to fly and provide covering fire. I picked up Colin, while Luke jumped down to fight the Groundramon. Aldamon came down to assist us.
Then, we defeated the three Groundramon and the Dracomon that came at us. Aldamon went back up above ground to help out Ryouta, and we stayed behind to take care of Colin and Marshal, who was knocked out. Then Marshal regained consciousness and asked me to fly up closer to the surface so he could use cards on Aldamon. By now the giant BlackGroundramon was there, and... we decided to get back up above ground before it set off earthquakes and killed us in a cave-in".
Then came the part where he messed up. It took Bellamy a few seconds to muster up a further explanation.
"Then the Groundramon was at the strength of a Super Ultimate. It defeated Aldamon and made him revert to Coronamon. And... Marshal struggled out of my grip, and I let him go to his partner". He made no excuses, this was simply the truth.
"Ryouta and Ryu biomerged again, even after they somehow defeated the Breakdramon and were extremely depleted. They got hit and were wounded badly. Then Marshal and Coronamon biomerged to their Super Ultimate and managed to fight the Groundramon off... it escaped underground before we could go after it. And... I didn't even heal Ryouta when he was injured, he was coughing up blood and I was too much of a moron to notice".
The Impmon took a deep breath, reaching the end of his explanation. He tried to look up, but he just couldn't.
"So... I'm offering my resignation, because I'm an incompetent useless failure that'll just get everyone I work with killed" he finished.
"That's not true Bellamy!" Colin said, angrily. "You're none of those things!"
"Bellamy... I've never seen you be like this" Luke said, astonished at his brother. Where was the confidence? The swagger? Somehow... it just felt like something inside Bellamy had broken.

Coronamon had woken up not long after they arrived at the inn in Snowflake Village. He hadn't known this was here! It must have just been a new project by his fellow teammates in PROFIT. It was still under construction, of course, but it was already coming together quite well. Upon waking up, the little lion looked over at Marshal, who was unconscious but still stable. Biomerging had taken a big toll on the Tamer, who wasn't quite used to something like that.
Biomerge...a new form that brought Tamer and Digimon closer than ever before. As it turned out, a great majority of PROFIT's senior members were capable of the transformation. Why were Marshal and Coronamon just finding out about it now? None of his other friends were capable of this at the time as far as they knew. Just what exactly was this? What caused it? All burning questions for another time.
For now, though, Marshal was busy resting and recovering from their dangerous mission on the mountain. Why was Terabyte Mountain such a constant source of trauma for the two of them? If the two of them never saw that mountain again, it'd be too soon. Figuring that he'd be okay to move around, Coronamon walked quietly out of the room and into Koharu's office. As it turned out, that lady with the Darkdramon and ChaosDukemon that they had briefly met in Whitewater was the leader of PROFIT, not Yuu. Was a little awkward that they hadn't really said anything to her back then, but they had to leave prematurely because of Coronamon's shyness around Bellamy.
"Hey, everyone," Coronamon whispered as he opened the door. He caught a glimpse of Bellamy, who was just staring down at the ground. The poor guy was not taking the loss well, and putting all the blame on his shoulders. Coronamon wished he could say something else to his significant other, but now probably wasn't the right time.

Perhaps Koharu was way too focused on the explanation at hand that she was not that caring about how Coronamon entered. Had she cared, she would probably already requested the Digimon to get out, because the problem was between Colin, his partners, and PROFIT specifically. Koharu sighed.
"...Sorry, in the end, I think on the first part, you did very well, but... for the latter part, yes, you did a mistake... But I don't believe that you should just quit for that," she answered. "I mean, you are all in such emotional turmoil. It's HARD to not act like that, Bellamy. Especially if Ryu's concerned. He's... let's say, he's very emotional when it came to Ryouta. Afterall, he nearly failed to protect him, and there was a time where he nearly died. Well, the last one was really really really hard for him because they really nearly died.
Anyway, this is miscalculation on my part too. I thought it was only an Ultimate and you guys gonna be fine... Afterall, Groundramons are Perfect stage, now if they gone to Ultimate stage, then they're as strong as Breakdramon. I never thought that it'll get to this point, but... Did Ryouta did the procedure? That if you're in danger, no matter what, you have to evacuate?"
"From the recording from Ilbert, he does," Kon-chan said. "...But I guess the heat was too much and Ilbert cannot even help and only provide support fire."
"....I see," Koharu muttered. "In that case, the situation was different. All I can say is I'm glad that you're alive, but... I think we need to explain the situation better."
She stood and sat in front of her table. "I guess you didn't pay attention, but..." she tapped her leg, then showed the metal part to the crew. "...This is the result of overboard use of biomerge, you know? These too," she tap her upper arm and lowered her coat to show bare look of skin with metal plates jutting out from it.
"...Biomerging felt like drug for us, those who abuses the form. It gives us more strength... For example, I'm more tougher than I look, but... in return, I can't swim, I can't run, I must also watch the temperature of my exoskeleton, otherwise my leg under it gonna get baked or got frostbit. Not helping that we have desperation attack that would seal our SU form for about ten minutes while weakening us quite a lot. Ryouta... forced it, didn't he? Generally if forced to unlock the form, the payback is far harder, and there is even a case where one devolved midway in an explosion. Been there, done that. It wasn't fun the slightest.
In my case, if I try to force it, more iron plates would appear on me. What's next? My arm? My leg? My torso? My head? It's a countdown, until we cannot break out from the Biomerge. At that point we're essentially locked in that form until there won't be Nakano Koharu, Kon-chan or Warg anymore. We'll just be... one.
Anyway, normally, I'd request for some action reviewing, but you're not in the shape for that. I suggest you take some rest. Well, I'll be around if you want to talk with me, but anyway... Rest. You did a great job, don't let your heart tell you otherwise. Remember, disappointment is there because hope is there. If Ryu gave up on you, he wouldn't care the slightest."

Bellamy looked a little happier as Coronamon appeared in the room. But he awaited what Koharu had to say. She said he was fine at the start but made mistakes later. But that it was nothing to quit over.
That Ryu was simply distraught at what Ryouta had gone through. It was as Colin and Luke had told him. And they had followed the procedure as best as they could.
"Yeah, Bellamy, it's not like you were specifically told what the right thing to do in that situation was" Colin said. "And you're alive to learn what to do next time".
Then Koharu revealed that her leg was metal. Colin and the twins' eyes widened. So Koharu was like Yuuki in that case. And it had resulted from misuse of the biomerge. It kind of made Bellamy feel worse that he couldn't handle the situation better so that Ryouta didn't have to do such a thing.
But in the end Koharu had said they had done a great job. But still, Bellamy didn't feel good. In the end, Luke decided to put matters in his own paws. He stood in front of his brother and spoke clearly.
"Bellamy" Luke said to the Impmon firmly. "I'm your twin brother. I've known you since the day we hatched, and even again for years before. I know you better than anyone. And I think you're being too harsh on yourself"
Bellamy looked up finally, listening to his brother. Even though Luke was smaller than him, he was smarter and Bellamy trusted him to know what to say.
"I mean look at you, standing here taking responsibility for everything when you're not even the senior member of the expedition" Luke continued. "We weren't there to lead it, we were there to watch and learn. Things happened that were way above what you were expected to do. And even if you made mistakes, you got Colin through it alive. That's the bare minimum of what was expected of you and you didn't let him get even a scratch!"
"But... Ryu was so... furious-" Bellamy began but Luke cut him off.
"I hope to Homeostasis that nobody takes something we say seriously if we're ever as distraught as he was" Luke said, simply. "If something happened to you or Colin I'd..." he looked momentarily furious. Bellamy thought he saw Luke's left eye flash blue for a moment, but it happened so fast that he probably imagined it.
"Look. Let's just go and rest, and we'll continue doing what we can, alright?" he said, patting Bellamy's arm. "We may be Perfect levels now, but it's impossible for us to be perfect, even if you want to be".
Colin turned to Koharu, giving a weak smile. "Thanks for that" he said. "My partner probably needed that". A refusal of his resignation but also being told the truth that mistakes were made, but they weren't fatal ones. Colin then turned to Coronamon. "Is Marshal going okay? And... how's Ryouta doing? Is he going to be alright?" he added, looking at Koharu unsurely.

Coronamon was a little bit scared of Koharu's metal leg. If Biomerging had this much of a consequence on the Tamer, why bother doing it? What did this mean for Marshal? Ryouta had gotten crazy sharpened senses, and Koharu was slowly becoming a bit of a robot for some reason. Marshal was already not doing well after their first Biomerge. This created a big cloud of doubt in Coronamon's mind. Would they really be okay to explore this form further? It would probably have to be a while until they experimented with it further.
After Bellamy was assured that not everything was his fault, Coronamon couldn't stand it anymore. He sprinted over to the Impmon and nearly tackled him. He just wanted to hold him in his arms. "I'm so glad you're not hurt!" he said, overcome with emotion. "I love you so much." Coronamon said it again. Why was he so insistent on that? They hadn't even been dating that long. Therre was just something so...familiar about Bellamy. Something felt right when Coronamon was with him. Almost like they were fated to be together.
Coronamon turned over to Colin, Bellamy still in his embrace. "Marshal still hasn't woken up. He's stable, at least. As far as Ryouta...I'm...not sure. He and Ryu are still on Ilbert and I don't feel comfortable bugging Ryu at the moment."

"Well, anyway," Kon-chan started. "Procedure is meant to be followed, although in some case there are no procedures given, and you're forced to act from experience or instinct. I can't blame you that you got so overwhelmed, but I guess this calls for more training so this won't happened again. Again, nobody in this room blamed you... but mistake is a mistake. Punishment would still have to be dished out, even if it's only under pretense of professional formalities."
Finally, Warg put down the document then stared at Coronamon. "...Still, what baffled me most is that your HUMAN gone to place where he's not supposed to, and from the recording report you waves it off with 'all of us does some mistake and we're fine'. That sort of remark is pretty much gonna set your senior off. You're seriously lucky that Ryu wasn't in mood to continue it. I don't really hear any sort of remorse, so disciplining is in order. Endangering teammates like that... no, just no," he declared.
"Had we followed procedure," Kon-chan began once more. "That calls for abandonment. There's no need to endanger yourself for anyone who gone against procedure. Ethically and morally, that's not acceptable. Effectiveness wise, that's how it should go in order to save more people and to ensure that the ace will still alive and kicking. However, Ryouta is damn softhearted fool that he truly worthy for that crest of justice of his. His justice doesn't allow him to abandon anyone that he considered comrade!"
Koharu sighed. "Well, yes, that's how he is. Anyway, punishment can come later. Just know that this is mostly formalities but for Coronamon and Marshal. For you two this will be complete retraining. You guys are far too used in fighting solo, so in order to not endanger your friends, I'll have you and your partner, also Colin, Luke and Bellamy to attend a simpler, yet still a training mission anyway.
You're dismissed, for now. Mind if I return to building my inn? I really need to get it done."

Bellamy needed this gesture from Coronamon. While staggering at first from the impact, he recovered and put his arms around him, smiling. "Heh, I'm glad you're okay too" he admitted. Then Coronamon said that he loved him. Bellamy didn't know why, but... he could feel it was real.
There was just something about him that he liked. Was it his scent? His voice? His cuteness? Bellamy didn't know why, but he felt something deeper when it came to Coronamon. Something that wasn't there when he flirted with Hikaru and Warg. It felt almost as deep as his bond to his partner and brother, but not quite as much as that. But still, Bellamy felt warm on the inside and outside whenever he bonded with him. "I love you too, pal" he said, glad he was awake to hear this time.
They were a bit concerned to hear that Marshal hadn't woken up yet though. Then Kon-chan said that punishments would have to be dished out.
"...Punishment?" Colin repeated, surprised to hear that. "But you said yourself that the intelligence gathering underestimated the power of Groundramon" he said, looking at Koharu. Yes he'd take a punishment, but only if it was something fair.
But his resistance fell as Kon-Chan said that the official protocols would have simply been to retreat and evacuate the battlefield and to leave people behind if they weren't following the proper procedure. So... Ryouta's action had saved Marshal. Colin hoped that the older teen would appreciate that.
So their punishment would be a training regime? Alright. That was something that all three of them felt that they needed. Bellamy and Luke had just evolved to Perfect, and Colin had just recently obtained his D-Arc. All of them needed to learn how to use them more effectively.
"Okay" Colin said, a little crestfallen that it wasn't acknowledged that they had achieved something over there. They had destroyed three Perfect levels and hundreds of rookies. They had greatly wounded the giant BlackGroundramon and had gathered intelligence as to its real power, and they had also achieved new heights in their power. It would make the next mission against this monster hopefully easier.
But of course, they would need some training. And as Bellamy held Coronamon in a one-armed hug, he was just glad that he still had him around.

Coronamon was embarassed, but he was also a little bit upset by their sudden decision for punishment. The flames on his tail and forehead started flaring up, but he took a deep breath and they calmed down. "With all due respect," he said calmly, "Marshal and I were never told of any protocols for these types of situations. This was our first mission in the field, and even then it was a last-minute decision for us to go along. We're not used to having restrictions on what we can and can't do in a fight."
Then Coronamon learned that by all rights, Ryouta and Ryu should have left them there to possibly get killed by BlackGroundramon. He was stunned. Realizing what a monumental error he and Marshal had made by being reckless, he bowed his head. "We'll accept the punishment," he sighed. It was probably better to just roll with it instead of being combative after their first mission as PROFIT members. Though, it still felt a little cheap that their shining achievement had been met with harsh words and punishment. It wasn't their fault that they hadn't been told how missions with the team would work! On the same token, however, it would probably be good for the two of them to learn how to truly work on a team with others. For a while, they had been adventuring by themselves and only had each other. If they didn't want to get anyone else hurt, they would have to start trusting in others and letting them help instead of trying to do everything themselves.
After they had been dismissed, Coronamon walked back over to Marshal's room. To his surprise, Marshal was awake and staring out the window! "Marshal!" he cried as he raced over to his Tamer and jumped onto the bed, tackling him with a hug. Coronamon had been in an awfully affectionate mood lately.
Marshal wasn't expecting Coronamon to run in so suddenly and tackle him. He grunted in pain and clutched his head with his hand. "H-hey, buddy," he groaned weakly.
Coronamon noticed his Tamer's pain and immediately backed off. "You're not okay," he said, knowing how his Tamer felt.
"Hell of a hangover," Marshal muttered. "How are the others?"
With a sigh, Coronamon sat and explained what he had learned in the report with Koharu. How Bellamy had tried to resign, but was talked out of it. How they had broken protocol and were to be punished for it. How Ryouta had actually broken procedure to save them.
At the end of the explanation, Marshal slowly put his arm back down. He didn't have his normal, placid expression. "Damn it," he mumbled, clenching his hands into fists. "This whole thing is my fault. If I hadn't been so reckless, Bellamy wouldn't have tried to resign, Ryouta wouldn't have been hurt..."
"We didn't know how the rules worked," Coronamon reminded him.
"That doesn't matter!" Marshal shouted, louder than he had ever shouted before. The words reverberated throughout the room. An awful sort of silence fell between the Tamer and his partner. For the first time since Coronamon knew him, Marshal began to shed a tear. "I was in such a hurry to prove myself that I let it get in the way of everyone else doing their best, and I almost got everyone killed," He was whispering now, his typically calm voice starting to fail and break. "It's nobody's fault but my own." He finally broke down and started sobbing quietly there in the inn's bed. "Here I was, thinking I had been getting better. Pretty funny, right? I'm no better of a Tamer than someone fresh off the train."
"Marshal," Coronamon began, but nothing he would say could help.
"I can't believe I convinced myself that I was starting to change," Marshal interrupted. "I'm still just that same kid that did nothing but lay around and ignore the world around me." Still sobbing, he laid over and turned his back to Coronamon. He took out his D-Arc and the cards and threw them behind him and across the room. Coronamon managed to catch the Digivice, but the cards all scattered across the floor. "I don't deserve to be a Tamer," he said, with an air of finality that led Coronamon to believe he was serious. Coronamon tiptoed over to look his Tamer in the face, but the boy was already fast asleep.

"Calm down," Kon-chan chided, her voice level. "Like I said, you and Luke did great, I have the recording afterall, but punishment still must be dished so that this sort of recklessness and slip-up is not encouraged. Didn't Ryouta told you to run while he's unable to fight? Or was you not really there? Visual been a bit blurry... But at any rate, like I said, it's nothing like demotion or something utterly harsh. It's just retraining, that's all."
She turned to Coronamon. "Well, then, that means Ryouta also need to be punished for failing to brief you about protocols...I think it was very basic if it's the last minute. There's just simple orders, as stated by a close friend and leader... I think Colin, Luke and Bellamy already know him, that guy with Dorumon. First: Don't die, Second: Don't attract danger, Third: When faced against danger far over your strength, run and hide, Fourth: Let the strongest handle the danger... unless he either did said those but not clear about it or some of you aren't listening? I really hope it's the former, not the latter... If it's the latter then I'll seriously have to smack you above the head for flirting in the mission," a small yet dark smirk appeared on the Darkdramon's face.
"Well, all in all," suddenly Warg started again and laid the mineral on the table. "We'll scan these... According to data shared by Anego, it's still an Ultimate level back in the past. Which mean something about these stone seem to be... the trigger to what make them stronger. That might be the reason for the intel fault. However, if this turned out to be worse than we thought... Prepare to destroy the mine. I and Anego will come with you this time... and it'll might be a high class mission for real. If you're not going to come with us, I don't blame you, but we'll need to retrain first, yeah. Especially Marshal and Coronamon."
Koharu, Warg and Kon-chan was the first to came out. They immediately start working again on the inn. Koharu called out some Gottsumon that working on the building and laid out the blueprint. However, Warg stopped right in the corridor and leaned his back there. He waited for Colin and his companion to pass.
"...Don't worry about it, really. Everyone did the same. Ryouta was punished several times already for insubordination. Ryu too when he didn't stop Ryouta. Anego might speak like that, but that's just an official stance. We can't encourage that sort of action again anyway. Plus... If you guys dropped to zero from this, then we're seriously in trouble. There are stronger menace out there. All I can say..."
He pat Bellamy's shoulder, then Luke's, then Colin's and finally Coronamon. "...Great job for making it back alive, all of you. We'll seriously destroyed if you guys got killed out of there."

Bellamy patted Coronamon's back as he seemed to bristle at being told of the punishment. Luke meanwhile thought of what happened when Ryouta told them to run if he couldn't fight.
"All I remember is that Ryu told me to get Colin and Ryouta to safety and make sure they don't get hurt" the Elecmon explained. "Then Ryouta fired the signal for Ilbert, and... I don't think he said much other than that, other than biomerging with Ryu".
And Luke had done the best he could. It had been all he was capable of in this crazy battle with super ultimates.
Then Kon-Chan explained what Yuuki's advice was, that Ryouta should have told them what they needed to do. "Well... that was the thing" Bellamy said, still a little unhappy, but his voice wasn't a sad monotone like it was earlier. "We just didn't know where safety was. And we thought... we could rely on Ryouta, but he was out of commission for ten minutes, and that... thing could've thrown an attack that would've killed us in one hit every few seconds, it was just impossible, and..."
"It's okay, Bellamy, it's over now" Colin told his partner gently. "Alright. We'll take a rest now, then we'll get ready for our training" he said to the others. And with that, they left them to their devices in the hotel room.
Then Warg stopped to give them some thankfully friendly words. Bellamy's face lit right up with happiness. "Thanks for that" he said.
Then they returned to their room. And they overheard Marshal and Coronamon talking, their voices slightly raised. Colin, Luke and Bellamy stopped what they were doing and listened. Marshal was blaming himself for what had happened.
"Oh god..." Colin breathed, then got back off his feet at once, rushing out into the corridor and standing outside Marshal's room. Luke and Bellamy followed hesitantly. When they heard Marshal crying, Colin could hold back no longer, he opened the door, just in time to see Marshal throw his D-Arc and cards across the room.
"Marshal is everything alright?" he asked, walking over carefully. He had already gone through this with Bellamy so he felt a bit more prepared (albeit a bit tired) to try and make things better. "You think you're not good enough?" he asked, hesitantly. "That's not true, you're one of the strongest partners in the world! You reached Super Mega. Not everyone can do that you know"
Colin didn't really know what else to say. He waited to see how Marshal responded.

Marshal heard Colin come in the room, but ignored him. He was "sleeping," after all. He just wanted to be alone now. Coronamon could sense it, so he quietly motioned for Colin and the twins to follow him out of the room. He left the D-Arc on the bedside table, and the cards remained scattered on the floor.
Coronamon led everyone out of the room and stood outside, looking quite dejected. "I've never seen him like this," he said quietly. "I shouldn't have said anything to him yet. I had hoped he would be understanding as always, but maybe something like this finally broke something within Marshal."
Meanwhile, in the room, Marshal's eyes were wide open. He slowly sat up at the edge of the bed. His D-Arc sat there on the bedside table, taunting him. "I'm not fit to be a Tamer," he repeated over and over neurotically. In a moment of clouded judgement, he stood up and grabbed the D-Arc. He pointed it in front of the window and opened a Digi-Port. With another silent tear, Marshal set his Digivice back down and began to step through the portal. "Good bye, Coronamon," he whispered quietly. "I'm sorry." He disappeared into the door of light.
Outside the door, Coronamon was still talking to the others when he suddenly was unable to sense Marshal's feelings. Fearing the worst, he threw the door back open to see Marshal's back foot disappear behind a Digi-Port. "Marshal!" he shouted, running across the room to try to catch the portal before it was too late. He got to the threshold of the door-shaped structure before it disappeared in front of his face. Unable to register what had just happened, Coronamon just stood there with a look of pure shock on his face. His Tamer seemed to be more broken than he had thought, and Coronamon wasn't prepared for this outcome.

Koharu still correcting the entire foundation here and there outside, with Kon-chan helping her. They two have no idea whats going on, but Warg immediately noticed something gone wrong. After all the shouting and how everyone got out, it got too silent, then the flow of data just... just changed. He quickly raced to the door and opened it, not even caring if he's being intrusive or if he would shock those who's talking outside. However, even him was too late for the game. He only saw Marshal's gate closed. His eyes fixed at the rest of the team, wondering what the heck gone wrong.
"...This situation is worse than I thought," he confessed. "...Everyone, mind if you go back to the office? I'll talk to Anego about this... And... well, please, in any way... please, make yourself comfortable. You can even take anything from the fridge, but just... calm down."
...Probably he's the one that's frazzled the most, He quickly dashed out to contact Koharu and Kon-chan. Even member being like this is probably a big deal never seen before. It need to be fixed at any rate.

It seemed that Marshal was sleeping. Colin found that hard to believe, since he had been shouting moments before, but... he just didn't respond. Colin didn't know what to do about it.
Coronamon led them out of the room. Colin hesitated, looking at Marshal one last time, but, supposed that they could just leave him alone for now. They listened as Coronamon explained.
"It's fine, Coronamon" Luke said, patting his arm. "Like you said, this was your first mission as a part of PROFIT. None of us... took the failure very easily" he glanced at Bellamy, who looked down at his feet with shame.
Then all of a sudden, Coronamon suddenly sensed something was wrong with Marshal. He ran back into the room, only to see Marshal walking through a portal. Colin and the twins rushed in after him, but it was too late. The portal closed and that seemed to be that. It seemed Marshal had gone without Coronamon.
"...Oh my god" Colin breathed. "What... just happened?"
Then Warg entered the room, looking frantic. He then said everyone should go back to the office. Bellamy was concerned for Coronamon, standing close to him, but unsure if he wanted to be touched right now. His tamer... had abandoned him? "Are you okay, Coronamon?" he asked, gently.
All of them were too stunned to say anything. Colin was torn between anger at Marshal for abandoning his digimon but sympathy as well for having victory turn to ash and being unable to cope. They slowly walked back into Koharu's office, wondering what was going to happen next.
"...Can we go after him?" Colin asked.
"You don't have a digiport function in your digivice, so I don't think so" Luke said, quietly. "We'd have to go back to Terminus City if we want to go back to Earth to find him".
Colin nodded, quietly.

Coronamon was still in shock as everyone entered the room. Had that really just happened? There was no way Marshal had just...left, was there? This was some kind of prank, surely! Marshal would come back through the portal any minute now, say, "Just kidding!" and Coronamon would jump into his arms.
Except...that moment never came. Marshal was gone. He was deathly serious about what he had said, and intended to follow up on it. Coronamon wasn't sure what to feel. He was totally numb as he walked back to Koharu's office. The conversation just buzzed through his head. He didn't really pay any attention to it until Luke mentioned that they would have to go back to Earth to look for him.
"No!" Coronamon shouted. The flames on his head and tail blazed brighter than they ever had before. He realized that he probably sounded (and looked) a little angry, so he took a deep breath and tried to calmly explain. "I...don't want to see him right now. He needs time to think. Seeing me so soon after leaving will only make things worse." The words hurt his heart to say, but they were necessary. One look at Marshal after he had woken up told Coronamon all that he needed to know. Some time away from it all might be what he needed to figure things out.
Though, it still hurt him terribly that his own Tamer wouldn't think to take him along. Was he really that broken inside? At the end of it all, Coronamon could barely even tell what Marshal was feeling. It was like he was totally empty inside. The Rookie Digimon almost felt like crying, but tears wouldn't do him any good at this point.
