The sound of water beckoned over the desert dunes, and the Penguinmon followed. It had been days since the traveller had last seen civilization. Rustport laid thataway but thataways and thisaways were easy to confuse when he was three feet high and surrounded by dunes more than triple that. Dunes made of loose sand that slid and made him slip going up them so that he had to climb the disagreeable thing all over again. The desert had quickly gotten itself to the top of ‘no repeat trips’ list with such antics. The water though, well that had looked promising at first. He’d topped a dune to see it in the depression below: a misshapen ring of trees about thirty feet across at its widest, a stretch of sand roughly five feet across between the ring of trees and a body of water that had shrunk to the point it could be classified as a rather large pond. A pond with a giant black needle in it. He quickly divested himself of his travel gear, save for his canteen, and flung himself head first down the slope. Sliding along on his belly brought him a to within a mere fifteen feet of the tree line. Which is when disaster struck. It came in the form of a fireball. Luck, or perhaps the speed of his slide, made the assailant's aim fling far to his left. A FlaWizardmon came stepping out of the ring of trees, a thick black band around his stomach and fire already lining one of his matches again. What followed was a scene that could have only benefited from the playing of a particular song as Penguinmon was forced to run through fire and flames to make it to the relative safety of the other side of the dune he had slid down originally. He had bald spots now, his lovely feathers having been incinerated straight off the top of his head and his poor, blistered tail. Penguinmon’s heart tried to beat out of his chest as he sought that which his mom had snuck into his pack: the one-time use emergency SOS beacon. Once found the little conical device was swiftly activated and the little Penguinmon settled back to wait. He could only hope some charitable souls were nearby, already he could feel himself growing faint with thirst! Or at least unable to summon any of his typical ice-y cool moves to help.
Its another dark spire thread! 3/4 spots taken! Participants: - K - Alice & Dorothy - Carlos Rey & Dio - Chie & Do Rules are here. The Dark Spire is in the middle of the Oasis (which has shrunken from its normal form). There's a Flawizardmon lurking somewhere in the ring of trees that marks where the Oasis's boundary normally is. Penguinmon's injured and too thirsty to fight at the moment.

It wouldn't be the first time that K had been in this area. The last time she had been here, she had helped out a spirit user find their champion totem and even made a friend with them at the time.
This was months past and she very well couldn't ignore the area as it stood. She had been well versed with the other areas so why wouldn't it make sense to the furred creature to start doing errands and the like to try to get better acquainted with the flow of things here?
So the stark white renamon made her way over a hill carrying what appeared to be a bag holding her delivery. It was just some plain items for rustport that they were in desperate need of; they had even lent her use of one of those nifty cubes to transport the entire thing.
As she was trotting down the hill she could feel a distinct buzz in her ear. She'd pause and reach up to tune the signal reciever she had for this trip only to find herself listening to coordinates. She'd frown and tug the cloak she had naturally equipped around her for a moment as she looked about; trying to pin the location down exactly.
An SOS broadcast? This deep in the desert? Tch.... the delivery can wait!
She didn't want to think of the problems one could have in the middle of the desert so the renamon shifted herself and took off running towards the coordinates in question. It'd take her maybe five... ten minutes tops to get to the location?
Rush aside she had to wonder what the sos was for, normally digimon planned for this area well enough to where they wouldn't have these sorts of problems. but the questions she had was quickly answered as she came to the crest of the final dune, the buzzing of the coordinates in her ear telling her that she had arrived. She'd gaze around before finding her eyes locking onto what would no doubt be a spire.
"Another one of these things? Explains a lot. Now where is the person who sent the SOS?"

An unusual pair of individuals approach the scene with... Genuine disappointment. Brushing sand off of herself for what feels like the actual millionth time, Alice groans, having avoided most of the desert heat due to her smart travel plan, but now... More pressing issues were probably much, much more important to deal with, given how the penguin seems to be in desperate need of help. "What the hell was that!?" Alice notes the smell of burning, a scent she's familiar with and slightly excited by. "Okay, first of all... I was expecting an oasis. Two, what's that maniacal laughter coming from?"
Her partner, a Tsukaimon with a little red ribbon around one of her legs, seems far more reckless. "Yeah! Finally, somethin' to fight! C'mon, ya can tell us what happened, Alice loooves to hear longwinded, drawn out stories 'n stuff!" The purple, ear-winged gerbil cheers, her bloodthirsty attitude evident by her giggling and readiness to fight.
"As I was going to say... We were coming to see the Oasis so we could rest for a moment, but... I guess there's no rest for the wicked. Dorothy, you said you wanted to fight... Well, here's your chance." Alice states to her Digimon partner before looking to the Penguinmon, the emerald-haired human finally introducing herself proper. "I'm Alice, by the way, and that's Dorothy. Hopefully, others are here to help us..." The duo finally spot the pale white Renamon, and look at her curiously before the Digimon of the two approaches the lone, vulpine stranger, with Alice immediately getting to... Drawing out the rather ominous pillar she sees not too far away in a moment of inspiration and weakness.
Dorothy manages to greet the Renamon before Alice returns to her Digimon's side, seeming a bit more grumpy about what's going on. "Ya here to investigate? 'Cause we were here to get a drink until some dumb dork thing happened." "...Yes." Alice's response is short and to the point. "And things are only going to get worse if we don't do something."

“Is…that a monolith?” Was the first thing Carlos said as soon as he set his eyes the ominous dark structure that rose from the ground, causing his partner to roll his eyes in annoyance.
“That’s a dark spire, you dumbass.”
“Right, I knew that.” The man lied, his attention turning to the other individuals close by. He approached the small group with a wave, his impish partner by his side too focused on glaring at the spire to bother with greetings at the moment.
The duo had been most wasting their time hiking across the , when the man’s digivice had started beeping uncontrollably, giving out a small set of coordinates as it did so. Figuring it was probably something urgent and important, the pair had decided to follow the signal to investigate further, mostly out of curiosity. And now that they were here, they were glad they had decided to follow the SOS.
“Hey there, we just received the distress signal and figured we could lend a hand.” He said as he approached the other four. “Name’s Carlos by the by. Little partner there is Dio.” He added with a nod. It was then that he noticed there was a very familiar face among the group.
“K! Good to see you! How are things going?” He greeted the fox with a cheerful smile, seemingly forgetting about the gravity of the situation for a moment. After all, how long had it been since they last met? Days? Weeks? The man was unsure, and knowing the time difference between both worlds only muddied things further. All he knew it had been a fair bit of time since the duo had last seen their teacher.
“…hello K.” The small imp said with a small awkward wave, blushing ever so slightly as he did so. Just what he needed. Mind you he was glad to see the vulpine digimon again, but almost wished they had met again at a later date. Or at least, later enough for him to properly figure out what his feelings towards the white renamon were.
Regardless, there wasn’t much time to mull over such details right now; they had something bigger in their hands.
“I’m guessing that there is the cause for the SOS?” The man asked, pointing to the dark pillar looming ominously not too far from them.
OOC: blurp, hope you dont mind droppin in ^^

Right, since I've let this sit for a good 7 days I'm going to get it going. A fourth person is still welcome to join in at any point.
To see so many strangers responding to his SOS, truly it was enough to bolster the Penguinmon's previously flagging spirits. What shame too that he wasn't looking his best!
"I do say, it is an absolute pleasure to see such a speedy response!" The Penguinmon reached up to smooth the feathers on top of his head, pausing when instead he touched bare skin. He signed and dropped his claws back to his side. "A pleasure, miss! I am Popper!" He sketched a weak little bow in her direction then gave a nod to each 'mon and human.
Sadly introductions didn't continue much past that. He felt a little help but brushed it away, this was a rather serious affair after all! "Right, right. To answer your questions, I sent out the SOS! I've been travelling about and my trek brought me near the Oasis. I thought I might stop and have a bit of rest, but I was attacked by a dastardly FlaWizardmon!" Popper gestured to the scorched feathers on his tail. "Having never met him before I cannot say if his actions are one he would undergo normally, but I do know there is a tower about! Dark in hue, and ominous too. It lies yonder in the middle of the Oasis! I dare say none of us will be having a drink while it's about, I've heard enough about these 'Spires' to know they mean ill!"
The little purple bird gestured to the sand dune behind him. "Right on the other side of this dune seems to lie the limits FlaWizardmon is allowed to go to." He looked between the members of the group, curious to see what they'd decide to do since he wasn't much of a fighter himself. "Have any of you experience with one of these before?"

K blinked a little bit when an unusual pair of individuals appeared. A human and their Tsukaimon. The latter of which was the first that she had seen within the last decade. Perhaps the particular digimon kept to other locations or perhaps she was just was not seeing them as they appeared. The renamon turned a bit more and gave the both a small nod.
"Yes. My radio gave me the coordinates so I came here. A little uncertain why a tower is here of all places but I'm not about to just let it stand."
The renamon rubbed her muzzle eyeing the human for a moment before sighing. She wasn't wrong when it came to that; it would get much worse if they didn't do something about it. She'd glance to see two rather familiar figures approach before the renamon responded to the first human.
"Very much so, so we should act and deal with both that tower and the digimon guarding it."
She'd quickly turn to look at the new duo that approached; flashing a small grin as Carlos introduced himself to the group and then even greeted her. Followed by what was the meekest greeting from Dio that she had heard yet. Was he feeling all right?
"Good to see you Carlos, doing well as you can imagine. Hello Dio, I'd say we should catch up but there are more pressing issues to attend to."
The renamon gazed down to the Penguinmon; the one responsible for the SOS signal. She'd listen carefully to what the digimon had to say and even winced at seeing the scorched feathers. Fire on fur or feathers was never fun, unless you were the sort to come from fire.
"I've dealt with a couple of them, a good method is to destroy the tower before dealing with the guard but in this case we might not have that opportunity. FlaWizarmon's are a pain to deal with and it's likely they are being controlled by a ring in one location or another. Our first step should be finding that ring and deal with it accordingly."
She'd cross her arms and sigh softly; shaking her head after a few moments.
"These Towers are starting to be a very consistent problem..."

"Having someone who has seen these before makes me feel like this isn't going to be hopeless, but we shouldn't relax until this is over." Alice closes her notebook, having fully drawn out the scene in front of her now, and looks to the fox Digimon, then the other Tamer. "You don't look too inexperienced either... Hah, I guess that leaves me as the new one here... As this is the first time I've seen anything like this." The green haired woman sighs as she puts the book away, her expression determined, yet with a slight degree of worry evident as well, her Digimon partner having headed to her side, looking up with a slightly angry expression. "As I've said before, I'm Alice, and this is Dorothy."
"Yeah, yeah... I wanna kick some butt. Even if it's with some other dorks!" Dorothy wiggles her legs a bit in the sand, excitement evident in the way she moves. "But I guess I'm the dork here if everyone's so much more powerful than me..." She looks down a bit, but seems more determined to prove herself than ever, if a little reckless about it.
"Well, I haven't encountered anything like this before, so I guess you two will lead, and Dorothy will hopefully follow." A nod comes from the emerald haired woman, the stress in her voice obvious as she runs her hand through her long green hair repeatedly. "Whatever strategy you have in mind to approach this, I hope it works, because I'm fairly certain that if we don't get rid of the obelisk... There won't be any water left to drink." She sighs, once again looking to everyone else, and taking out her notebook again, writing something down in it, probably some thoughts about the situation she's landed herself in.
Dorothy still seems excited, hopping up and fluttering into the air with her ear wings."Yeah. Bet we're gonna win with two Digimon like you, right? Riiight?"
Alice shrugs in response to her own Digimon's comment. "I can only hope."

“Pleased to meet you both.” Carlos nodded to Alice and Dorothy, as well as Popper. Now that introductions were out of the way, it was time to get down to business.
“Right, we can catch up later.” He said to the white vulpine, as he paid attention to the Penguinmon as he explained the situation. Dio meanwhile was glad to be able to focus on the spire situation to avoid this becoming an awkward moment between him and his teacher, though let out a sigh as he heard just what they would have to face. He had seen from up close the kind of firepower (pun intended) that a FlaWizardmon could pack, and that one had been a weakened one trying his damnest to protect the small imp from danger, so he could only wonder the kind of damage a dark spire powered one could bring.
While it was true he was somewhat more experienced compared to the first few days he spent roaming around the digital world, Carlos still felt all the flattery coming from Alice was largely undeserved. Even if his partner was capable of digivolution now, they both knew better than to consider themselves experts.
“Heh, well, truth be told while we two have been around for a bit we don’t really have prior experience with this sort of thing, just heard stories.” He admitted with a shrug. “We did face some odd corruption back in Old Terminus some time ago, but I doubt they are connected.” The man pondered aloud, tapping his chin as he shot another look to the dark structure. Ominous dark energy aside, there wasn’t much he could see about it that could connect it to that past incident…and yet these incidents seemed to happen to commonly for it just to be a coincidence. Whatever, he thought; he could come up with theories later, after that thing had been dealt with.
“Regardless we do have a trick or two up our sleeve.” Carlos said with a smile, taking out his digivice while playfully tapping the screen with his pointer finger. For once, the duo had the power needed to even out the odds, as they were aware that while the spire’s suppressing field didn’t allow others to digivolve, but apparently Armor was unimpeded. Still, just like K had taught them both all those days ago, that power would be useless against this thing if they couldn’t think of a good plan for everyone to follow.
“Hmph, of course we will win, that tower shall rue the day it appeared!” Dio said to Dorothy, sharing the winged creature’s wish to partake in some good old fighting. And while Carlos didn’t exactly share his partner’s enthusiasm, he wasn’t going to back down knowing that thing was still standing.
“So, how we should go about this?” He asked, turning to the group, knowing well this would only be accomplished with good team work.
“Well, if I evolve I can locate that FlaWizardmon easily with my stealth, he shouldn’t be able to see me coming.” The impmon offered, both as a means of helping the group get the upper hand from the get go…as well as an attempt at impressing his teacher with his new found power.

Popper was quite happy to hear that three members of the team were already experienced with situations like this. It meant the team wouldn't be going in completely blind, and the Penguinmon felt he could trust this team easily. "I dare say this is jolly good news! Having an experienced hand or, er, paw or two should hopefully make this smooth sailing!" He turned to Alice and Dorothy to give them a smile...? Was, was his beak really that flexible? "And fret not young misses, you may not have experience now but you will once we emerge triumphant!"
He quieted down to listen to K's explanation. There was some good information there, although what K had to say about the towers being a 'consistent' problem was more than a little worrying. " I'm sorry to hear there are more of these out there! So this FlaWizardmon is being controlled? Poor chap, I feel sorry for anymon who's caught by one of these?" He crossed his wings and nodded solemnly. "A ring you say? About how big would this be? I believe I saw him wearing a dark metallic band around his waist...but that's a little too big isn't it?"
When Carlos mentioned that he could sneak up on the FlaWizardmon Popper was quick to slam one claw into the other. The wind started up again and blew loose sand down the dune besides him. "That's excellent news! I will admit I had eyes only for the water but the fellow seemed to come out of nowhere with his fireballs! I know he's being controlled, but getting the drop on him sounds like excellent turnabout!"
From beyond the dune came the distant sound of a scratchy voice cackling.

"Wise words."
The renamon quirked an eyebrow and shifted slightly; to say that you required experience destroying these things to even deal with them was foolish. The first time that K had dealt with one of these things she wa spretty sure the group as a whole hadn't a clue what they were doing but they just made things work.
"I wouldn't worry about it too much. You'll do fine I imagine."
There was no reason for K to doubt Alice or her partner out of the gate; people came from all walks of life and did so much on their own. She'd have to trust they knew how to handle themselves in a fight and if they didn't they'd come to that hurdle when presented.
"There's a few ways we normally can go about this."
The renamon shifted to gaze at Carlos as he spoke; brow raising slightly as he mentioned something about corruption? Was this another threat that she was unaware of? Of course not everything would be immediately presented. She'd have to remind herself later to ask about them. The renamon would gaze at the dark structure, her expression hardening.
"Until a connection is made immediately apparent do not lump them in the same category Carlos. Speculation is fine when we are not pressed for time."
The renamon however looked a little bit happy to hear that the impmon could digivolve within the range of the tower. That must mean that he had an armor evolution under his belt now; certainly a higher power than he had when they interacted a while ago.
K tilted her head and looked at Popper; flicking her ears a little bit. He seemed rather chipper about this whole thing and thankfully that would be infectious. Post fights your mentality would be important and of course this would be no different. The little bit of information that popper gave them was useful; the renamon mulled over what the digimon said tapping her muzzle thoughtfully.
Alice deigned to follow whatever plan that they came up with; willing to play second fiddle as it was. The renamon would gaze at the tower and chuckle softly. A plan quickly came to fruition in her head and she'd turn slightly to look at the five.
"So we know what We can do then, if Dio can use his stealth to get close he can target that waistband in order to damage it and draw the FlaWizardmon's attention for a moment. That will allow me and Dorothy to close in. We should keep the pressure on them, shift in range increments to get a feel for what they can do."
The renamon knelt for a moment and drew a few lines in the sand...
"Once we have a feel for their combat style, if it's based in range we stay in a medium to close distance. If it revolves around close ranged we engage from a Medium to far. If it's balanced we shift as we can and make them over exert themselves. We should avoid being bunched up just in case he has something larger that can hit multiple targets."
The renamon paused for a moment and rubbed her muzzle again.
"If he has a move that stuns us, reduces movement or the like. If you have the ability to do so, get whatever individual affected by it out of his range increment or whatever you can do to keep his focus off of them. Be careful on any use of fire as we don't know if that heals him or if he can control it. Do not by any means allow yourself to be pulled into attacking them if it seems like we're going to win; I have no doubt that they might use dirty tactics or do something rash. Any questions?"
The amount of fighting that the Renamon had been a part of gave her some spectacular insight on fights with individuals of all sorts. She had seen quite a few different ways of approaching battles and so far the planned ones always seemed to go the best. There was a moment that the renamon seemed as though she was done then she'd perk up seeming as though she had forgotten something.
"I'm best at a medium or close range. My only heal requires me to touch so I'd be in the same range as one of you if someone gets hurt. My cloak can also allow me to fly and block some attacks."
The renamon seemed unaffected by the cackling; though her ears flicked and swiveled towards the sound...

Wandering the desert, Chie began to seriously doubt the navigational skills of her digimon partner. Do shrugged as he kept trying to pinpoint his location. "Are we approaching Terminus yet?" Do bounced back up from having his head in the sand at the call of Chie, surprised at the choice of destination she asked for, five hours ago. "Wait, we were going to Terminus? We should've just gone there straight from Whitewater city!"
Chie's left eyebrow twitched as she started to wonder where in the digital world Do was leading her to, however she soon heard an alarm from her wrist. Pulling the sleeve of here blouse back to get a full look at the Digivice mounted on her wrist. "An SOS? Didn't realize they were built into the digivice?"
Do's demeanor shot up as he got excited, for the first time in a while, he would get some action and someone needed help. As if encoded into his very being, his response was automated. "Which way boss! Let's go!" Chie sighed at his enthusiasm, but knowing Do, she would regret it if she didn't at least take him to see the situation. Pointing in the direction, they carried onward until the duo found a group. Chie couldn't tell if that was a hallucination, or she really saw a bunch consisting of a penguin, a wolf like creature, two humans, and their respective digimon.
However in the distance, the black monolith was enough to send Do running into the fray after a shocked look in his eyes. Chie chased after the Digimon, not sure of what either thing signified. As she approached, it appeared as the group finished talking, Chie, nearly out of breath spoke up quickly. "What's going on? What's that monolith that sent my Digimon into a silent panic?"
However before anyone spoke up, the crackling voice heard in the air echoed. Chie knew at that second, that she walked into a battlefield. The DORUmon beside her who had been silent for a few minutes finally spoken up. "Oh yeah, forgot to tell you to stay away didn't I?" Disappointed, Chie smacked Do on the back of his head with the back of her hand angry that he had knowingly dragged her into danger without warning. "I assume I missed a pep talk but can I get the TDLR version?"

"I'm Alice, everything else can wait for later. The oasis is clogged by an enormous black pillar, there's a pyromaniac on the loose..." Alice seems just a little bit shifty as she says the word relating to someone who starts fires, though she green haired woman remains calm, her tone rather serious as she explains this to Chie. "And we need to get rid of it. As for plans... I'm no tactician, but what I heard sounded like one of us distracting the lunatic while two of us jump him from the sides or from behind, then we deal with the tower? Does that sound right?" As much as Alice wants to talk, she knows that wasting time isn't the best idea right now.
By Alice's side is her Tsukaimon, who seems to be getting restless, fidgeting a little as she flaps her ear wings to hover in the air. She looks to the newcomer's Dorumon curiously, tempted to get a closer look, but too excited to think about it too much. "Ya know, I don't think he's gonna wait for us to do stuff forever..." Eventually, Dorothy flaps over to the purple, fluffy dragon and lands on the sand, glancing over the other purple Digimon. "Haven't seen anything like you before..."
In response, the emerald haired woman lowers her head. "We all know that... At least we have four people here now." Taking a moment to listen to the deranged laughter, she shakes her head, and looks towards the rest of the group briefly, speculating on the nature of the spire, even chuckling to herself a little bit. "I wonder why someone would place such a tower around at all? Is this some kind of intimidation tactic? It seems a bit... Impractical if this is some sort of way to claim territory. You'd expect something this over the top from some kind of cartoonish idiot who doesn't get practicality."
Alice takes a deep breath, focusing, and immediately gets back to the more pressing matters at hand, heading over to Chie's side and picking up Dorothy, the purple, gerbil like Digimon wiggling out of her grasp once again not long after. "You're right, Dorothy. We need to act soon."

As K began thinking of a plan, both Carlos and Dio found themselves kneeling close to the fox as she drew small lines on the sand, making sure they paid the utmost attention, Dio in particular pushing himself to focus on the lines and planning and ignore how cool it was to see his teacher getting so serious about this. It was a shame the dark tower kept digimon from evolving, he would have loved to see K utterly demolish their enemy with her power. At the very least, this was his moment to shine and show her the fruits of his training. When she was done explaining, the imp nodded with a determined look at the renamon. “Alright, so I get in there to “test the waters” as it were, distract him, then get out and see what he can do and we all adapt from there. Am I missing anything?” He repeated aloud, making sure he himself understood correctly. “Oh, and I can only really do anything meaningful at close range so we should try to coordinate our attacks if he’s focusing on one of us.” He pondered a bit, scratching his chin as he looked at his teacher, somewhat unsure if he really should be the one telling her what to do. She had experience in the matter, it was better to let her decide for them. Just as they were about to get started however, a girl suddenly approached the group, a small furry digimon accompanying her. “Hey there. Carlos. Dio. Don’t mind us, just about to destroy a big structure of evil and hopefully help a poor brainwashed fool. Feel free to tag along I guess.” The man greeted the new arrival, pointing at himself and then at his partner. As much as he appreciated having more support, he figured it was better to focus on the task at hand rather than on introductions, seeing how they had almost come up with a…well, maybe not so much a plan, but a good strategy. At the very least, Alice gave a pretty good summary of the situation at hand, so that saved time. It was when the scratchy cackled was heard that the duo tensed a bit. “Yep, that sounds like we better hurry.” The man said, quickly rising back to his feet while dusting some sand off his knee. There was no more time to lose. Taking a deep breath, he brought out his red and blue digivice, the screen on the small plastic invention shining brightly. He shot a glance at his partner of a moment. “Ready for this?” He asked, Dio giving him a smug grin and a thumbs up as a response. Carlos nodded with a smile of his own, as he aimed the Digivice at his partner. “Then it’s show time.”With a press of his button, a bright, purplish light shot out of the device’s screen, enveloping the small Impmon’s form for a moment. With a bright flash the same light bathed the area for but a moment, a powerful and overwhelming pressure making the sand shift around a bit as it did so. The light soon faded however, revealing the megalomaniacal digimon’s armored digivolution, the tall feline beast that was Pantheramon. “I’ll handle this. Stick to the plan and don’t fall behind.” The now gravelly yet commanding voice of the panther growled, looking at the group for a moment before he started making his way down towards the tower. “I’ll make you proud, teacher.” With an agile leap the feline’s form seemed to momentarily become blurry and flickering, before completely banishing from sight. The creature, now almost completely hidden in plain sight, only but a small blurry distortion in the air being the only thing betraying his almost complete invisibility. Dio slowly prowled his way to the vicinity of the tower, his gaze going back and forth trying to pinpoint were their enemy was hidden, his body tensed and ready to react if he was somehow found…
Battlelog: Dio digivolved into Pantheramon and used Night Prowler to turn invisible. Night Prowler: Melds his body with shadows, turning completely invisible for up to two posts. Receiving damage or attacking will cancel out his invincibility, but if he breaks concealment by attacking his following ability will cause 2x more damage. Three posts cooldown. Durations: Night prowler: 1 post remaining Cooldowns: Night Prowler: Waiting

Popper did his best to listen closely to the plan but every so often his head would turn ever so slightly towards the distant tower before snapping back to attention. "I apologize for my poor attentiveness, I fear the heat is getting to me! I think I've got it the gist of it though."
When Chie and Do arrived he was able to pull himself together enough to give them a little bow of welcome. Hello Miss! I'm Popper, I sent out the distress call that called the others here." The little purple penguin had the aura of smiling broadly despite the fact he only had a beak. Still his pleasure at yet another person joining the sortie was evident.
At least until the cackling cut in. Popper outright cowered, putting his wings over the bald spot on his head and shuddering violently at the sound. Clearly he had been more affected by the attack than he had previously let on!
Still he was able to pull himself back together again, brushing sand off his stomach and straightening upright to give a reassuring nod to the others. He kept his voice quieter than before.
"I think I'll be braver once we all go in together. I dare say this plan seems well put together, I hope your stealth skills are top notch!" He told Dio, only for the imp to promptly digivice into a rather majestic form then vanish from sight! "That is most impressive!"
------------------
On the other side of the dune Dio would catch sight of the target. The stitched together flame wizard stood slightly hunched with his shoulders slumped forwards. It was enough to make the ends of the matches he carried rest against the ground. He was staring blank-faced at the dune the others were behind, Popper's trail from his desperate climb up still visible.
The sound of water from the oasis was louder here, and the closer Dio got to the for the easier it would be to hear how it and the breeze rustling through the patches of greenery masked the sounds of conversation. There was a heavy looking black ring around
If Dio waited long enough then the creepy guardian would give another eerie cackle before it's dead fish eyes slipped away from the dune as it turned it's whole body away. Almost mechanically it moved towards one of the clusters of greenery. The sunlight on the dark ring around it's chest failed to produce even the hint if a shine, as if it's malevolence was sucking the light from the area.
------ OOC
Good news is that FlaWizardmon hasn't heard your plotting and finds its patrol more
The other news is that your scout is going last, pehaps consider an alteration in turn order for this round?

It didn’t took long for the self proclaimed Dark Lord Dio to find the controlled FlaWizardmon, the wizard gazing at the dune where the others were hiding behind with a vacant stare. Was he aware of the group’s intentions? As the stitched together figure turned to move to the green patch of the oasis, the Pantheramon slowly prowled closer, waiting for the moment when his target finally turned his back on Dio’s position.
This was his chance to strike, but the question was: which target should he focus on? The fire wizard was, at least for the moment, completely unaware of his presence, so it would be easy for the panther to get a good shot at him. On the other hand, he could use said opportunity to focus on the tower, and try to damage it as much as possible before the brainwashed digimon could stop him. Though there was no way Dio would be able to destroy the tower on his own, perhaps the he could cause enough damage to allow the others to tear the structure down.
In the end, for once he decided to play it safe, and turned his attention to FlaWizardmon, thinking that as long as they took care of him first, there would be nothing to stop them from taking care of the spire.
With a low growl, he charged at full speed towards the cackling digimon, his body coated in black flames as he became fully visible again. After closing in the distance the panther pounced forward, letting out a roar as he aimed to knock down his enemy.
Carlos meanwhile paced back and forth, waiting anxiously for the signal. Admitedly, he was worried over sending his partner on his own, fearing that if something bad were to happen they wouldn’t be able to reach him in time.
The loud roar accompanied by the ensuing sounds of battle soon came, taking the man out of his mulling and putting him on edge. That had to be the signal.
“That’s our cue.” The man announced, as he began making his way around the dune, following closely the footprints left in the sand by his partner, hopefully with the rest of the group following behind.
Battlelog: Dio cancelled his Night Prowler invisibility (making his next attack deal 2x damage if it lands) and is attempting to attack FlaWizardmon with Nightmare Vision.
Nightmare Vision: Envelops his body with black flames, charges forward and pounces on the opponent. Causes medium damage and may knock down enemies of the same size or smaller. May latch on to bigger opponents for a follow up attack. Three posts cooldown.
Durations:
Night prowler: ended this turn
Cooldowns:
Night Prowler: 3 posts
Nightmare Vision: 3 posts
