The room was plain, unassuming, and practical. The area Hunter stepped into laid out not unlike a surgery theater with white laminate flooring and two raised steel operating tables set in the middle of the room beneath medical lights. Tables one upon which Jegan was currently setting the crystalline encased stasis'ed form of Tawna. The Biomon only sparing the Hunter a single glance at her entrance as he checked over a series of vials within his possession. Making his selection the machine Digimon slid the vial into a compartment on his wrist loading his syringes with the concoction.
"Please take a seat upon the table and stand by for scanning. The Doctor should be with you shortly." Jegan requested motioning for Hunter to take a seat upon the other table as his scanner lit up. Once the Reguelmon had done so she would find herself flashed briefly with a bright light as a blue laser like graph ran up and down her form documenting her data and any changes for the Biomon and hopefully keeping the Raguelmon's attention for the time being. Behind her the sound of soft footsteps would echo at Cassandras arrival. The portal closing with a soft snap and a hiss.
-Bio Scan: Equipped with short range incredibly powerful scanners Biomon is capable of scanning a Digimon or human reading through their biological signs, data, and dna for anomalies or illnesses allowing him to safely identify them for treatment. May be used on up to three patient per turn and reveals the last loaded data a digimon or human may have ingested. Cannot take accurate readings beyond twenty-five feet. -Spurn Death: Biomon may place a willing or unconscious patient into complete stasis sealing them within a medical crystal where they remain outside the effects of time preventing their injuries from worsening or health further decaying until he releases them. He may have five of these crystals active at one time, but the crystals shatter becoming inactive and releasing the patient upon taking damage. (Requires player permission) [Active of Tawna]

Ugh, how disappointing.
There Hunter was, already on a roll with her set of intruders, only to be pulled and whisked away by her two impromptu employers. What was the point of pointing her as a guardian if they were just going to act so cautious, and pull her away to inspect every bit of loaded data? She had been so close, too - that weakened Meicoomon, left in that stasis field, was but a moment from Hunter's fangs sinking right down into her. On this frustrated edge, she gave a step out into this rather-calm medical room.
The Biomon's request earned a shrug from the cat, a frustrated growl escaping the MeiCrackmon's fangs. "Yeah, yeah. No skin off my nose if you just want me dragging around the back lines." Scratching her nose with the back of a claw, the MeiCrackmon plopped herself down, heavily resting on the seat. She tapped a claw against the side, idly looking to the Biomon as he worked. Hearing the portal finally hiss shut, the cat idly rolled her head, to crack her neck. The scan would proceed without complaint - the device itself picking up added Solomon, MeiCrackmon, Raguelmon, Rasielmon, and even Ordinemon data.
"Ugh, let's get this over with." She seemed impatient, as if 'done' with this whole operation. Little did she know...

The holosuit dropped without a sound. The EV-suit following in it's path as one by one the Doctor undid her defenses in seconds. Letting the walls that separated her from the word fall with nary a whisper their barriers made not to keep that which would harm out...but the Doctor within. The only warning was a brief flare of heat at the Hunters back, the familiar and yet strange scent of ozone and metal lingering in the air and then the Biomon launched it's syringes into her front looking to inject the vial of tranquilizer it had selected right into the Raguelmon's system. The drugs only managing to lightly dull the sensation of piercing and agonizing pain that would rip through the cats back as Cassandra lunged driving her claws between the Hunters shoulder blades seeking to sink them right into her core.
The Doctor had never believed in warnings. Warnings only gave your opponent time to think, time to plan, time to respond. Time she could not afford to give as for the first time in weeks Cassandra felt the kiss of cool air on her skin, the sensation of touch returning vibrant and new as she felt her claws slide into the Raguelmon's back like hot knives through butter. The rush of power nearly intoxicating as she allowed her forehead to come to rest against the soft fur of the Hunter's back the Digimon's data and the taste of blood heavy on her tongue like the finest of wines.
Humans could not alter data. For all that she was a Doctor Cassandra was limited to the abilities of her cards and her own skills as a medic. She was neither god nor digimon. She could not create data anew, nor stimulate growth, nor heal and alter the very building blocks of the digital world...But the Reaper could. For all it had become twisted and now ran rampant like an uncontrolled cancer the D-reapers purpose was to heal. To grow. To preserve.
Such was Cassandras purpose as well if she would only let herself.
"Close your eyes." The Doctor whispered soft and low a final act of mercy. Even as the world became a haze of red and instinct took her as her claws dug into the Hunter's core.

There was definitely little warning, bar the doctor's slightly uncharacteristic silence to Hunter's quip. Or perhaps not - this operation had been a bit of a ride for all of them involved. Maybe Cassandra was just as tired as the rest of them, or maybe she simply lacked the patience?
Those were the vague thoughts in Hunter's head, as she simply sat through the scan. What happened next came without warning - as that claw sank into her back, the cat's eyes widened in shock. The MeiCrackmon's entire body tensed, adrenaline shooting through her system, counteracted only by the tranquilizers inserted by the Biomon. Had Cassandra been anyone else - had she not been under an explicit protection order by the General, which Hunter was forced to follow - this would have gone far differently. There mere human would likely have been slashed and cut down on the spot, Biomon forced to deal with an enraged, powerful monster fighting off the effects of the tranquilizer.
Unable to do that, all the MeiCrackmon could do was gasp, a cough spitting red mist onto the floor in front of her. She grit her fangs, head slowly turning to look over her shoulder, seeing that doctor grasp towards her very core. Hunter's own claws raised up to her chest - just what could she do? Between her instincts and the General's orders fighting against each-other, and the sheer nature of the situation, all she could do was grit her teeth in frustration.
"You... little..." Damn it - weakened as she was, she felt her eyes grow heavy. And soon, Hunter slumped over, back arched, eyes dulling from the effect of the tranquilizer. Her expression was still heavily pained, tears budding from the bottom of her eyes.

Familiar pain ripped through the Doctors body as every nerve felt as though it was aflame as agony crawled it's way up her spine and side, but she could not stop. Could not drag her concentration away from her work as crimson static sparked across her skin as the infection sank deep into the Hunter's data. The pain replaced by a heady power familiar and yet strange. Where the D-reaper had been raw instinct and strength this feeling was colder, more refined, and sharp. Like a needle or liquid steel sliding beneath the Digimon's skin as slowly the Doctor felt her awareness spread. Her sense coming alive like a phantom limb finally made whole. The loneliness that had clawed distantly at the back of her mind growing silent as a feeling of rightness settled into her chest as memories, emotions, abilities, flickered through her mind. Here the Hunter held no secrets. Her pain was Cassandras pain, her emotions were Cassandra's emotions, the cats being echoing within the Doctors mind like a koi fish thrashing in a small pond her struggles sending ripples through the surface of the woman's mind as she reached out through their connection. Seeking to erase the distress, her will like a heavy hand smoothing away the jagged edges of pain.
'Submit.' It seemed to whisper soft and welcoming as a final sleep.
"Shhh..." The Doctor murmured the sound a low comforting thrum from the depths of her throat. "Hush now. It'll all be over soon." She swore pulling back one data stained hand to gently run it through the Hunter's fur.
"It's ok to cry..."

Hunter could feel it, of course. In her last few moments of awareness, her head hung down, those fingers curled right around the MeiCrackmon's core. Cassandra's 'infection' was something that Hunter had felt once before, and as she moved to share the beast's thoughts, Hunter let out a growl.
"Get out..." Those words were held heavy, with a serious tone. She didn't mean the claw, no - the tone was even more defensive than that. In the next few moments, well...
They shared their thoughts. They shared their emotions.
Betrayal.
Above everything else, that was the one emotion that stuck out in the Meicoomon's head. She found herself, once more, springing atop the peat moss of the Dark Area, holding a hand over her wounded shoulder. Tears streamed down her face, the cat clenching her eyes shut. Moving that claw down to her upper arm, she felt that mark - an armband, reflecting her position as a mercenary, a common visitor of the Mission Guild.
A great sadness welled up from inside. One that was immediately followed up by anger. The cat tore the band off from her arm, flicking it right down into the dirt of the Dark Area. Right there, it was left behind, as she made her way deeper and deeper into the wilds. Cold. Alone.
Hunter had felt that way for a long time. Huddled in a shelter of that familiar forest, the ill-red light of the Dark Area's sky filtering through the canopy, the Meicoomon huddled around herself.
Shademon. Veemon. Hawkmon. Despite her best efforts, the thoughts of those filled her head. Allies in arms, and now, by her view, heartless hunters that would stop at nothing to see her fall. Gritting her teeth, she pulled that makeshift blanket over herself, once more. Another tireless night in these unforgiving wilds. Hungry. Driven.
Hunter had returned to a more primal state, a slight grin felt at the edge of her lips - the data of the D-Reaper held deep inside her veins. She'd finally found it - a power that would replace them. A power that she could call her own, to find her own niche in this hellscape. If the world would abandon her and the Dark Area was all that she had left...
... The Hunter would make it her own. Stepping confidently into a clearing, the Meicoomon looked on as an Orochimon broke the surface of a nearby lake, a heavy coat of red data tracing her claws.
"I wonder what you have to offer..."
Those thoughts would be the most pronounced - passed over to Cassandra in an instant, the very weight of it all setting in. Even now, that same feeling of betrayal weighed heavily in her mind, Hunter still tense even as the doctor whispered. Tears openly streamed down the side of her cheeks - as once more, she was set down this path.
She grit her teeth, the words of a liar, of a traitor, passing through her ears. But how could she object? With her data held onto and her system slowly turning...
... All she could do was close her eyes, slowly feeling her consciousness fade.

"You know I can't do that. Won't do that." The Doctor soothed, her single hand rubbing soft circles into the Hunter's fur even as she dug her claws deeper into the Hunter's core. The Infection running it's course. "Sleep now. Sleep." She urged words laden with compulsion the order thrumming through the Hunter's form as the cat went lax in her grip.
Yet even as the Raguelmon faded the guilt remained like blood under the nails. Like a stain Cassandra could never wash away. Instincts both dominating, protective, and possessive warring with the duty before her. Every inch of her being fighting against her actions as slowly the Doctor destroyed that which every sense screamed at her was hers. Her claws digging in as she reached out seeking a familiar code strain of Meicrackmon data and the lingering fading sentience that she hoped desperately remained there. It would not take her long to find what she sought as she pulled weaving the secondary personality that was gradually being broken down and assimilated that was Haru to the forefront as she carefully fractured the Hunters ties to her own core twining them with that of Haru. She could not erase the Hunter. She would always be there, but no longer would it be her in control. Gradually what felt as though the once human was drowning in darkness...a single speck in an ocean of data, awareness would begin to return to the girl that was once known as Haru.
Albeit a fuzzy distance sense of disconnect like all her limbs had fallen asleep and she could not no matter how much she struggled awake. Time and space having no meaning in the darkened flux of change she was suspended within. Then with carefully applied pressure Cassandra ripped the core from Hunter's chest in a crack of fracturing data leaving the former shell of the Raguelmon's self turning to static.
"Jegan suspend the remaining data. We'll need it to finish the operation." Cassandra ordered snapping the Biomon to attention as he encased the hollow shell of the former digimon in crystal leaving it hanging their like a puppet with cut strings. The glowing blue and red tinted core held tightly within the Doctor's grasp.

"I will need you to release Tawna from stasis. We will need a pure Meicoomon data for the base of the core before we flesh it out with what remains of the Hunters data and use the rest to patch Tawna herself." The Doctor ordered as Cassandra carefully drew a card from her labcoat even as the crystal about Tawna shimmered and dispersed. Leaving the Meicoomon laying on the cold metal table. Though she would not rouse yet.
"We'll be utilizing the data reconstruction card. I need you to siphon the data from Tawna while I guide it into form around the core." Cassandra instructed even as she slid the card the Biomon glowing in a brief moment as he reached out hovering his hands over the Meicoomon as she would likely awake to a familiar painful pulling sensation of her data being drained though this time not accompanied by the painful agony of being ripped into by the Raguelmon's stinger like tail.
Though perhaps that might have been a kinder fate then awakening to see the Doctors true for the first time looming over her as Cassandra took in Tawna's state with cold clinical crimson eyes even as she reached out pulling the data Jegan collected as she wove it about the sickly blue and red core she held in her hands.
"Try not to move." The Doctor warned though a glance around would reveal more of the nightmarish scene including the hollow shell of the once Hunter slumped over and suspended in crystal a glowing red hole torn through it's back. The Biomon it's long tube connected syringes moving between Tawna and the core that could be none other then the ex-cats gripped in the Cassandra's hands. It's eerie glow seeming to pulse in time with the Doctor's slow breathing.

A peaceful rest this was not. If the dreadful incident that had felt like it had happened moments prior was a nightmare just awoken too, this was the restless sleep that lasted for an entire night... at least if the sensations the weakened feline was feeling could be given a definition. Were she just a bit stronger, she would have absolutely tried to scramble off the table....but exhaustion took priority, her body unable to move much at all as she was awakened by that ever-familiar feeling...
Pain. Not as stark as before, but it was an uncomfortable sensation that reminded Tawna heavily of that phantom stinger that once had been jabbed into her gut and core... She was still drained and heavily-injured, but their body felt as if it were stabilizing even as she felt data drained from her. She weakly opened her eyes, first gazing at the Biomon whom was conducting the data pulling, than to their employer... The cold, crimson-eyes of a woman that stared down at her; eyes more terrifying than any beast Tawna had ever fought before, knowing that she was this witch doctor's patient.
It didn't take her long to notice the smell of ozone, emanating off both the doctor herself... but even also that core that the infected doctor held, Tawna's eyes drawn to what as close to a corpse a Digimon could be of the Hunter's body suspended in-animation. Such carnage did not bother Tawna, but what did though was seeing that core in Cas's hand... it glowing in a way alien to Tawna. No healthy Digicore glew like that.
Doctor, what are you doing?
"... H.. Haru." the Meicoomon weakly spoke, their head groggy and lightheaded as they struggled to stay awake. Their body was practically begging to degenerate... but she did not dare make such a move at a time like this. She wasn't concerned about even her own safety... She just wanted to know what the doctor was doing. "... What... doing?" they softly squeaked, fear welling up in them as they gritted through the pain.

"What I can." The Doctor answered honestly and though guilt and pain dragged her down like a lead weight she could not stop moving as the shallow nearly translucent shell of an egg began to form around the eerie looking core. "I will need...need to treat you both for infection. Her more then you. Cassandra explained as the painful tugging sensation stopped as Cassandra motioned for Jegan to undo the stasis on the Hunter's data.
"Seventy-five percent will be used to form the egg and flesh out the data base. Remaining twenty five will go towards stabilizing Tawna. Pull the twenty-five for Tawna now. I'll begin siphoning and forming the rest." The Doctor ordered her voice cold and clinical as she turned her back on the injured Meicoomon to continue her work as the ghostly outline of the once Hunter began to disperse, some pulled towards Tawna as she would feel a rush of sickening energy fill her.
"Transfer in progress." The Biomon murmured.
The rest....Cassandra gripped the core tightly with one hand before sinking her claws deep into the static ridden data as she began to pull and shift it the egg that had begun to form became gradually solid though the once clean white shell held and ugly crimson tinted sheen when the light hit it just right. Slowly the Doctor rendered down every inch of what had once been the Hunter using the added power to strengthen Haru's connection to the core as the weight of the egg settled into her arms. Now she would merely need to purify the pair and the rest...the rest would be up to Haru.

Tawna did not take pride in her intellect... She never once considered herself an intelligent person. Street-savvy, definitely. Resourceful, sure. But when it came to making good calls, she was no fool... She didn't try to pull a drape over her eyes to understand that she made bad decisions. Even if she could make bad decisions, it didn't stop her from identifying from others' actions what she felt were bad decisions.
The Meicoomon's eyes seemed to falter at the mention of an infection... but it didn't take her long to realize what kind of infection. D-Reaper. she did not understand the implications of what this could mean, but she knew in her core that it sounded like what the doctor was doing was mad science. "... Th-That... That is insane." the weakened Champion level managed to speak out, a slight bit of bitterness and exasperation at what the doctor was doing.
Yet, in the back of her mind... She knew this really was the only way. She knew now exactly what the doctor was doing. It didn't mean she agreed with it... but there really was no other way to go about this, was there?
The Meicoomon could only watch in amazement as some of the Hunter's data was redirected back to her... some of it familiar, but some of it different. However... it paled in-comparison to what else transpired with the remainder of the data... Tawna's emerald eyes gleaming at the sight of an egg formed from that data over the naked core within Cas's arms..
From death, life... at least in some form.
Tawna's body ached... it was very clear that from the way she even breathed she was not well... yet something welled inside the feline as their eyes grew teary once more, but not from sorrow. "... I-Is it... Is it her?" she asked hesitantly, unsure what to think herself... She was naturally a pessimist, but something in her brought forth hope.

Cassandra did not discredit Tawna's words. Did not open her mouth to defend herself or make any move to justify her actions. She knew the implications of what she was doing though she set aside those feelings to be dealt with at another time as she moved to help Tawna sit up and carefully settled the Egg in the Meicoomon's arms.
"I believe so. We won't know for certain however until it hatches." The Doctor murmured her voice quiet and emotionless as wordlessly she clicked her EV suit on once more the simple sensation of touch robbed from her once more. Pulling two more of the EV suit disks from her pocket the Doctor carefully placed one of Tawna and another on the Egg encasing them in a thin shimmering barely visible field though Tawna would feel the immediate temperature drop.
"This will slow the spread of the infection and allow Jegan to carry you and the Egg safely. We need to run both of your data through the D-Dialysis to remove... to remove any taint." Cassandra spoke her voice breaking slightly as she clamped down on the need to keep. To possess. To not be alone. suffocating those feelings like a babe in the crib as she motioned for Jegan to scoop up Tawna and the Egg.
"Please remain still. I will do my best to allow no harm to come to you." The Biomon informed Tawna as Cas's D-terminal charged up with a low soft whine the system already struggling from the strain it was under not unlike it's mistress.

None of this was easy for Tawna to process... so many awful things had happened in a short period of time that it was actually daunting for the little Meicoomon. It had started so harmlessly, but... here she was, now being treated alongside the egg that was possibly her dearest friend; harvested out of the remains of the very fiend that slaughtered them and had nearly offed her too.
She had almost failed Haru and every one of their friends. Perhaps she had...? The doctor's words... they haunted Tawna, implanting the feeling of doubt in her mind. The mere possibility that this wasn't even Haru... It scared Tawna.
Yet; as the egg was placed in her arms, the Meicoomon stared longingly at the white-red tint egg... Was it really them? Was it really Haru? She so desperately wanted to know... All she knew now though was that this egg; it was hers... and she refused to ever let it go. The feline hugged the tainted egg longingly, remaining still as one of the disks that the doctor had pulled out was placed on her... Tawna shivering briefly as she felt her body's temperature drop, a shiver running down her spine.
"Its... cold." the Champion level gently spoke, though did nothing against it. She allowed herself to be scooped up by Jegan, Tawna keeping the egg close to her visage as they were carried off. She was not one to ignore the elephant in the room regarding how both she felt, but also how the doctor was acting. Even to her in this emotional state, Tawna recognized the look of someone who was rapidly needing to make tough decisions... This entire operation was a tough decision. "... She won't be human anymore, will she? She... won't be my tamer anymore." the Meicoomon whispered, asking questions that she already felt were answered...

"Sometimes..." Cassandra murmured softly as the D-terminal chimed signalling it was once more ready. "We must give up things for that which we love." The Doctor spoke her words barely a whisper as she opened the portal sending Jegan with Tawna and the Egg through first revealing a medium sized windowless concrete slab room that had been outfitted into a haphazard, but functional lab. The only thing out of place being the hiking pack and a few scant bags shoved out of the way in a small pile in one corner. Only two doors lead out of the room. One which was a heavy metallic vault door was clearly the entrance and exit while a sealed door with a double paned window showed a slightly smaller concrete slab room outfitted with strange piping along the ceiling and a blanket covered covered cot.
"We need to run the Egg through the D-Dialysis before the data settles. Otherwise the infection could have unintended consequences." The Doctor spoke stepping through the portal behind them as she motioned for Jegan to bring Tawna and the Egg over to a chair which was set beside a box like machine surrounded by a strange, but effective makeshift cooling unit.
"I won't ask you to let go of the Egg, but I do need you to sit in the chair and hold it while we go through the process of purging the infection. Jegan if you will." Cassandra requested the Biomon nodding quietly as he settled the Meicoomon and Egg down into the plain wooden chair.
"Of course Doctor. I shall fetch the needed vials." Jegan added floating over toward the fridge to remove two dimly glowing blue vials of liquid as he moved to return back to his contractor's side.

The doctor's words were not a kind truth, but they were a necessary one... Deep down, Tawna understand the extent of what this meant. Haru's humanity had been lost, but not their essence. Humans didn't reincarnate... but Digimon could. Cheating death was not an easy feat though, and it held a price; one that she realized Cas had to decide for them rather than Haru having a say on the matter. "... I wish I could have given up more in her place... but, is it selfish to say that I don't care if she is human or not?" the Meicoomon quietly asked, she holding the egg close to her, soft tears welling up in her eyes. "... As long as I can be with her again."
Soon enough, they were brought to a new room... one which clearly held a purpose prior. To Tawna's relief, they were both going to be treated infection-wise... It was perhaps for the better, after all; no one knew what it could do to a newly-born Digiegg. They already had made a huge gamble doing this operation; this was just them trying to correct the bits in-between. Tawna softly nodded at Cas's words, her paws wrapped around the egg as she held it closely on the chair... the Meicoomon briefly nuzzling it as a soft purr came from them.
"... Its going to be okay, Haru... I won't let you go... The doctor; she'll fix this. She'll fix this." Tawna softly murmured to the egg, knowing that it wouldn't have been able to hear her... but it comforted her knowing that somewhere in this oval capsule, her dearest friend might have been given a second chance on life. She patiently awaited Cassandra and Jegan's next move... a stark contrast perhaps compared to the last Meicoomon they've treated.
