Welcome to the first team mission \o/
The scenario begins with everyone flying atop a small Blimpmon; the situation that leads to everyone being there is up to you. If you want to involve Amelie in any way with your character's reasons, feel free to. The vessel was initially in Whitewater and that's where everyone gathered before boarding.
I know it's not very climatic, but you'll have plenty of opportunities to interact with each other in the mission and I'm trying to cut the unnecessary parts as much as I can. This has the potential of being looong, and I want to help with that as much as I can.
How the sky changed colors when transitioning from the Southern Tropics was always an interesting phenomenon, especially when traveling on 'daytime'. The clear sky suddenly darkening was something that could be both pretty and unsettling, but that was more or less the deal with this place; a seemingly never-ending, constantly encroaching shadow that extended in every direction. Enough of romantic slash dramatic descriptions, however! The Blimpmon managed to move at a decent pace through the air, yet... its course was undefined, at least for now. Every human present would get the following message directly sent into their D-Terminal. Subject: Tayichi'tai & Kara-nam.
Tayichi'tai Stronghold —Pros ——Strong military forces. ——Control of the main traveling routes in the Dark Area. ——They have a vast amount of knowledge about the Dark Area's geology and geography. May know one or two secrets hidden in this place. —Cons ——Most belligerent faction. Most likely to request violence as part of a negotiation. Rash and reckless. ——Poor economy that subsists on raiding other settlements. Not very trustworthy. ——May get angry if you negotiate with Kara-nam first, mostly because their egos are as big as the Blimpmon you're riding at the moment and don't want to be considered a "second" option.
Kara-nam Fortress —Pros ——Relatively strong economy. For Dark Area standards, at least. ——Rumored to be experts at spying and brokering information. If there's something to be found out about the other settlements, they're the best shot at finding that out what that is. ——Supposedly, they're famed builders and constructors. Not something overly important... if it weren't for the fact that's exactly what we're trying to do here. —Cons ——Their position has been consolidated by the Fortress' exceptional ability to withstand sieges, but their ability to project military might is next to zero. ——They seem to look after their own benefit above everything else and are rumored to be very secretive. Not very trustworthy. ——May know the result of the negotiations with Tayichi'tai if you decide to go there first, and may use that to leverage their position if that didn't go well.
If you want to negotiate first with Tayichi'tai, press 1. If you want to negotiate first with Kara-nam, press 2. If you want to split the group among the two settlements, press 3.
Good luck, everyone. I'll be waiting for you all to come back. —Amelie 🖤
Whether that information was true or not, that would've found out soon enough. At the very least, it seemed like a certain brunette had put the effort at doing her homework regarding this assignment.
You guys have up to two post rounds to vote. If the voting hasn't finished by the end of the first post round, skip my turn and keep on discussing it; you can assume that the Blimpmon will move at a slower pace than usual or outright stop if you're taking too much time to decide.

It was a somewhat boring day before Amelie had passed an invitation to Anzu and Akemi to help her with some work, especially now that the latter didn't really have any exams to bog her down. They arrived sort of early to the Blimpmon ride and had been waiting for a bit before it took off, even opting to nap on the blimp until Akemi's d-terminal buzzed...
...And presented Anzu, who was wide-awake, unlike her tamer with a choice. Actually, heck, both were awake right now after that buzz. "Would you look at that," Anzu began, "...I don't think any of these are trustworthy...Sounds about right, considering this is the Dark Area we're speaking of..."
...
Akemi peered around. "So which of the two would make more sense to try negotiating with...?"

The series of events that had led Katherine and Jazz to be inside a giant blimp, who was actually a digimon, and heading towards the Dark Area was hard to summarize, to say the least. It was true that, to some extent, they were trying to look for Bastian, a Ballistamon who had been lost for years inside this murky place. But there was a lot more to this that didn’t even call for the mentioning that this individual had an extremely valuable item for her and Jazz.
On one side, the causes the Deeplane Council chased, according to what Amelie had exposed to her were completely laudable, and now that she wasn’t completely alien to this area and she was actually a member of this team, she had decided to give her first big input to the group, to the best of her possibilities, that was. Adding that definitely she and her pig girl needed a rest from so much stuff going on around them regarding their vast number of enemies and that any kind of training that could help the former bunny to become stronger was welcomed by the pair was pretty accurate too. Last but not least, and actually probably the most important reason: this was a request made exclusively by Amy, Katherine's best human friend in the whole two worlds, and she wasn’t about turning her down when she needed it.
The reasons clear on her head, there she was, sitting around an extremely hyperactive Jazz inside and aircraft around four thousand meters above sea level. All of this while she swirled her right index finger around one of her pitch black curls, as she usually did when she was nervous. –Are we there yet!? –Jazz kept asking, visually eager. -No. And try to calm down, please. –The girl replied in the flattest tone ever, while the Cho-Hakkaimon kept knocking her feet against the floor of the vehicle, impatiently. This wasn’t the sort of innocent bunny she once had as a partner, Cho-Hakkaimon was a complete wrecking machine that had trouble even staying still for some seconds. –Jasso! I want to fight RIGHT NOW! –And yes, who for some reason referred to her as ‘Jasso’ rather than ‘Kath’, as the Lopmon usually did.
After reading carefully the instructions Amelie sent through the D-Terminal, Katherine shifter her gaze towards the group of humans and bean accompanying her at this task. Familiar faces and not-so-familiar shared equal numbers. Between the acquaintances? Akemi Amaya and Anzu. A lovely girl tamer she had met back at the human world in a very tasty encounter and her… bean, a Tsukaimon with a wild temper. Then, there was Souji Himura, a calmed and polite spirit wielder with a kind of conflictive spirit living inside of his D-Tector. Of course, she had greeted both in her classical excessively formal manner when she first saw them back at ground level, while they gathered to get on the blimp.
That left her only to introduce herself to three other girls. Two of them seemed kind of close with each other; they had blonde hair and slightly different hairstyles, one of them having bright red eyes while the other had beautiful sea-green pupils. Another blondie was there too, she was fairly short and had dark green eyes.
-It’s a pleasure to work with you all. –Katherine started, as politely as always, slightly bowing towards the whole group. –My name is Katherine Jasso, and this is my digimon partner, Jazz. –The girl introduced herself and her pig girl, who seemed still pretty impatient about their arrival. –Hi there. –She simply said, without stopping the swinging of her legs. Well, at least not everything was lost regarding the manners Katherine inculcated in her.
Time to get to business, wasn’t it? The girl stared at her D-Terminal to then raise her gaze towards the group. This was probably an awkward question, but there it went. –I would like to know… how strong are you all? –The question seemed crystal clear, but the girl still decided to elaborate some more. –I suppose except for Ama... I mean, Akemi, you’re all spirit wielders, right? How far can you evolve? I would like to know that before making a decision. –Of course, it would be rude to ask that without stating the amount of power of herself and digimon partner. –Jazz can currently reach the perfect level through armor evolution.
-Even though I would like to know this before making a decision, I am leaning towards the idea of splitting. –The curly haired clarified since it was probably for the best to state this from the get-go. –But this would help me think on how we should split, considering the settlements we have to approach and their characteristics. –She then lowered her gaze, adding something else; maybe trying to not sound too bossy? –O-of course that...! If you have any other idea, I would… love to hear them.

Post by Elsie and Evie on Oct 27, 2018 23:27:09 GMT
It was still taking a bit of time to get used to the idea that everything that people rode in, in the Digital World, seemed to actually be alive. Neither Evie nor Elsie found it a particularly comforting thing. Were they essentially in the belly of a monster? It really seemed like the best way to describe it. Yet, here they were. All for the sake of a mission to better the group's plans.
It had better be worth it.
While both read the instructions, the red-eyed blonde would only scrunch her nose, while the prim-and-proper looking twin didn't even look remotely puzzled. Instead, she was looking at the rest of the group, trying to process who each one was. While easily recognizing Akemi and Anzu, the rest were total strangers to the twins. Were they trustworthy?
Amy seemed to think so, and nobody else showed themselves to be overly on-edge as far as Evie could identify. So, for now, it must be a fairly acceptable group.
But, one of the strangers had already cut to the chase. Introducing herself, and then inquiring about power levels. To avoid immediately sounding hostile, Elsie began with, "I'm Elsie, this is--"
"Evie." But, aside from names, they knew what needed to be answered next. In part, because it was the only question asked so far! The other, because it would be rude to completely ignore the inquiry.
"We're strong enough to handle our own," Elsie emphasized on the last couple of words.
Quickly adding in, from Evie, "unfortunately, not strong enough to guarantee that we can keep anyone else safe." Did that answer Katherine's question? No, not really. But, the duo seemed intent on remaining moderately tight-lipped on their own levels for the time being. "While it's surely important to the mission to know each other's strengths, I hope you don't mind that we aren't comfortable sharing with strangers quite yet." Even Akemi and Anzu hadn't seen the twins surpass Rookie, after all. And, they had been in a fight alongside each other!
Then, to jump to the suggestion. "Do you suppose both settlements will know that we've sent a portion of our group to each of them, and become upset at that also?" A rational question, really. If one group was likely to get upset at being 'second choice', how would they feel about not being the 'sole' first choice? "If things go poorly with Tayichi'tai, it may make negotiations harder with the other group. But, if we're split, and they decide they don't like us," there was a pause, while the teen attempted not to ramble too much on her theories, "the people that go there may suffer more."
"Means splitting up might be a bad idea," Elsie clarified, in an attempt to give a 'too long; didn't read' of Evie's statement.
To this, the green-eyed girl gave a nod. "In the case that we do stay together, we should probably visit Tayichi'tai first." And, now, for her own attempt at not sounding too forceful! "But, if everyone else would rather to split up, I would prefer to go with the group that visits Kara-nam."
Considering Elsie's nodding, it seemed that she would follow wherever her sister went! But, surely, that was expected! Granted, it wasn't guaranteed that they would be able to make that choice. Maybe, Amy had already designed which groups she wanted to go to each settlement, in the case of that choice!

It was not long since Souji met Amelie and Ooi and now he sees them as close friends he wants to help with their ambitious yet beautiful goal of building a city. So when he got a message from Amy about a mission he gladly accepted her call for help along side Bella who strangely remained silent for a long while now, but there was one thing he was happy about apparently four of the people in the team and this mission where a couple of people he knows, including Katherine and Akemi both are a delight to be with and are friendly and then Anzu a who lets just say has a scary side and is Akemi's digital partner and there is Jazz who is nice if a little worked up he did not fear her like he does angry Anzu however. But he has never met Sasha, Elsie or Evie before he had hoped that he can get to be their friend.
On ground level he greeted those he knows and looked at the others briefly Sasha seemed a bit intimidating at first but who knows maybe he can get to be her friend likely not but hey life is strange. Once there Katherine and Elsie and Evie who are apparently twins polietly introducef themselves to others and Souji decided that it was the right thing to do as well. He stood up and looked at everyone "Hi I ummm, I am - Sou- So- uh." The nerves got to the poor boy as he was unable to say anything before Bella the Tinkermon gave him a pat on the back, he turned to her as she gave him a smile helping him gain the confidence he needs to speak up which he did. "Hello everyone some of you may know already but my name is Souji Himura, its a pleaure to meet and work with you all." He said as had his hands by his side and bowed down to them before standing up straight again. "I am a spirit user, and my strongest form can give you guys long distance support but I can take care of my self. And as for the decision while I see the merits of splitting up, I have to agree with Evie and say that we dont splitting our power which might not be high enough to take on a strong hold as it is right now might be bad and besides if one side is successful in their mission and the other one fails those who fail might be captured as hostages making our mission harder to say the least. So in conclusion I say we do not split and go to the Tayichi'tai Stronghold, but that is just my opinion." Souji said before sitting down once more.
The tinkermon however remainex floating she flashed a smile towards Katherine and Jazz two of the people who helped save her a little while back. "Ehm since Souji did not introduce me, I will do it myself. My name is Isabella but you may call me bella, I will make this short but sweet and say that I agree with Souji and in turn with Evie, so thats that. Oh and before I forget I have the ability to shrink myself down to a small enough size to sneak by people so when you guys start the negotiating, I can sneak around and gather intel for you. So please everyone lets avoid combat as much as necessary but if we have to me and Souji can pull our weight and even support some of you. " bella said before taking a seat next to Souji.

How had Amelie, Akemi and Anzu managed to get her involved on this madness? She wasn't all too sure, honestly. It couldn't have been with the promise of payment, at least not with cash or material earnings of any kind. Greed or not, she wasn't going to risk her life on such a strange world for money. No, there was more to it than that.
Really, it was mostly due to the blonde Sasha's curiosity (both about this strange world and Amelie's plans) and because she felt herself that she felt somewhat indebted to Amelie in a strange way. She had after all been not only the (admitedly accidental) reason she had even discovered such a bizarre world, but she had been nice enough to explain to her the ins and outs of things and supporting her on the way to keep her brain from turning into mush from all this new information. So when the chance to help her new found friend with her endeavours in building a prosperous city came up, it didn't took much thinking for Sasha to say yes.
So now there she was, sitting comfortably inside a blimp (A living blimp, something she still had a bit of trouble wrapping her head around), staring intently through a window at the ground below them as they slowly flew across the land. Surrounding her were a rather colorful group of individuals: besides the already familiar Anzu and Akemi, there were two twin girls who couldn't be much older than 16 years old, a dark haired girl accompanied by a rather bizarre and easily excitable pig girl digimon, and a young boy accompanied by a small fairy like creature. He in particular stood out rather obviously among all the females present, if only for being not only (probably) the youngest, but also the only guy here (well, the only corporeal one at least). She kinda felt sympathy for him, and almost wanted her spirit to be more visible to others, that way that kid would feel a bit less alone in a crowd of girls. Maybe?
Regardless, it didn't took much long until someone stepped forth to try and break the ice, specifically the girl accompanied by the piggy, that introduced herself as Katherine Jasso and Jazz. After everyone else had made their own proper introductions, Sasha also stood up from her seat.
"Name's Sasha Robinson, pleased to meet you all." She greeted, before falling back to her seat, but not before adding, "Oh and uh my spirit Siegfried is also probably happy to meet you all. You...most likely can't see him but trust me, he's happy alright." At least that's what the body language of the translucent Gladimon next to her suggested, what with the small wave in the general direction of the group. He had more or less gotten used to the idea of only being visible to the russian girl, but hey, you never knew if some of the other spirit wielders would be actually capable to see him this time!
While Sasha would have rather Evie or Elsie giving a more straightforward answer, she supposed she could understand why they rather keep that to themselves for now. She shrugged, and answered the question to the best of her ability.
"We can go up to the...uh, how was it called?" She wondered outloud seemingly to herself, though in reality she was double checking with Siegfried, her first spirit.
"Armor Champion." The voice of the knight simply said.
"Right! We can evolve up to Armor Champion. Though what we can actually do with that is...something I'm not entirely sure of? I haven't played around with it much." Well, she did know one or two things about how it worked, but the things that stood out the most (besides its slightly monstrous appearance) it was taller than her usual height, which was a huge improvement, plus it came witha big sword! Surely those things would come in handy, right?
The discussion soon moved to the matter at hand: how to approach their assignment. Everyone brought up valid points, though there seemed to be an obvious preference for avoiding any plan involving splitting up. Sasha's opinion was no different.
"Yeah, gonna have to agree with the rest here, splitting up does seem like a pretty lousy idea, if things went wrong on any of the negotiations there wouldn't be any way to support the other group. And if things went badly in both settlements at the same time...well to be blunt, we'd be screwed." She chuckled a bit at their predicament. As if the odds weren't stacked against them already.
"Well, there's a chance the people at Kara-nam will find out that we sent the group to the other settlement first, but if we go to Tayichi'tai first then it's almost a guarantee Kara-nam will find out." She said, mulling about it for a moment before adding, "That aside? One of them has a huge military force, the other doesn't. Which one do you guys think is the most immediate threat?" She asked in a somewhat sarcastic tone, assuming everyone would know what she assumed to be "right" answer. That being of course, Tayichi'Tai: what good was having information when you had a huge army knocking down your door?
And yet, having to deal with egocentrical warmongers seemed a lot more easy than dealing with spies and information brokers. At least with the former you could usually know what to expect. "Personally, I say we take our chances with Tayichi'tai first, stroke their ego a bit and see if we can at least get some strong protection in case we end up screwing up on the other place."

Impatience, amongst other things, was chief in the air right now. Anzu found herself staring at Jazz. Cho-Hakkaimon was far, far different from the Lopmon she had eaten empanadas with. "We'll get there soon. Promise." She wasn't sure how long it was until they got there. Akemi opted to take the role of speaking for the duo. Namely because Anzu had been distracted. It looked like it at least.
"So. Having heard everyone else's points...I vote not to split up. Splitting up is likely the worse idea when compared to possibly drawing ire based off of who we go to for negotiating first. That being said, I'm in agreement with what seems to be the consensus here. Tayichi'tai is likely the bigger threat so we need to appeal to them first and deal with the spy guys later. If a fight breaks out, Anzu's capable of reaching ultimate...Though that...causes some anger issues."
She glanced worriedly to the bean. Who seemed calm. For now. "...What? I'm the subordinate here. You guys decide. Sheesh. Either way, I know most of you already. I hope I can at least help you in some regard. Even if you don't wish it or don't deserve it like -one- spirit doesn't."
Akemi sighed. "Don't start. Please."

Two things were bothering Katherine right off the bat. First, what kind of a team had she gotten into if their members didn’t feel like they could trust each other regarding their power levels? Holding that kind of information was definitely not good if they were aiming for the best possible development of this endeavor. Still, she was not going to say a thing, of course. Jazz, on the other side… “Haha! So you’re weak! Don’t worry, I’ll protect you!” The pig girl said intensively, clenching a fist. “Shut up.” Katherine stomped her foot immediately. “Please, forgive her. She really means well.” The girl immediately bowed to the twins, Jazz lowering her gaze right after. “Sorry…” The Cho-Hakkaimon mumbled.
No, that couldn’t be it, right? If these girls were so overconfident, it had to mean they were strong, especially after saying they could take care of themselves. Souji, on the other side? Yes, that statement was not true, and that was even worse than hiding information. Not much time had gone by since she saw this kid having trouble to control an untamed rookie spirit, so if he was saying that he could take care of himself either he was lying or he was stupidly overconfident. And, to be honest, both were probably equally bad. Could anyone really say that they could take care of themselves without knowing the enemies they were facing? Could they really be sure they wouldn’t be needing any help later on? Assuring that right now was preposterous, in Katherine’s opinion. “Yes! I know you. It’s great to see you’re doing well now, Isabella.”
Now, about the other thing bothering the green-eyed… “No last names…” She muttered, almost inaudibly. Damn it, why did people keep insisting in introducing to her by their first name? It was hard for her getting used to calling people like that; she wasn’t even done with getting accustomed to calling Akemi by her first name, and now she had to do the same with both Elsie and Evie. At least, since they didn’t tell her any last name, she really couldn’t call them otherwise, and that was a plus.
Other than this (maybe) minimal details, Katherine was happy to be dealing with a group that didn’t want to take anything for granted, even if this was sort of a contradiction for the attitude some of its members had shown. It was true that assuming they had the firepower to afford splitting up was not a good idea, and that’s why she was, in the end, glad she questioned them about it. The results showed that this group was definitely not strong enough to take the risk of splitting in this sort of situation. Feeling like she was one of the strongest members, definitely added some pressure to the green-eyed, but at the same time pushed her to be better and take the best possible calls for the sake of the team's wellbeing.
Last but not least, Sasha Robinson had made her introduction. The blonde girl's first words seemed pretty straightforward and without hiding any type of info. “I like you- You seem badass.” Jazz immediately said, pointing aggressively at the short girl. “You can’t go pointing at people.” Katherine said, lowering the pig-girl’s arm. This was no doubt, internally, the same Jazz that usually agreed with her on what they initially thought of both human and digimon, based on a first impression; Katherine couldn’t agree more, along with Akemi and Anzu, Sasha seemed like the most trustworthy of these people right now. Of course, this was only based in their introductions and initial statements, so everything could change from then on.
“It’s very nice to meet you all, Elsie, Evie, Robinson.” A slight bow ensued, coming from the curly-haired girl. Overall, the group seemed pretty solid. In all honesty, she wouldn’t expect different from a group her best friend built herself.
“Yes. Considering the firepower we currently have and taking into account all of your opinions, I will agree with sticking together.” Katherine was not a stubborn person, and it was easy for her to see that this was the best call to take. “I also think that, taking their egos into consideration, Tayichi'tai Stronghold is the place to go.” Of course, there was something important to say, regarding this decision, and she decided to clear that out, in case the group wasn’t aware of this. “Nevertheless, I do consider appropriate to state my worrying. By picking the strongest faction first and by leaving Kara-nam for later, we are losing the chance to get any intelligence regarding Tayichi’tai that Kara-nam could give to us, assuming that we succeeded there. So, since we’re going there with no info about what we could be facing in combat, I suggest we avoid fighting as much as possible, until we ran out of any other options, at least. And in order to do this, of course, our best move would be exploiting the ego they allegedly have.” The girl made a brief pause to gather her final thoughts. “What I’m trying to say is that, even if I do think this decision is the best, it is one that sends us to the strongest faction trying to avoid fighting as much as possible, and that’s something not so easy to accomplish.”
If everyone agreed to this and didn’t have any final objection, the girl would pull her D-Terminal out and press number 1 in Amelie’s message.

Jazz's response to the twins' silence on their levels was less than ideal. In just as rash of a manner as the pig had spoken, Elsie's eyes narrowed and her body jerked forward in what would surely be a volatile manner. Except, Evie's hand had immediately placed itself on her sibling's shoulder. Despite being an overall gentle movement, with no power placed into it to restrain the angered twin, Elsie immediately stopped. Biting down on her lower lip, it was clear that there were actions and words that the red-eyed girl had to swallow down.
"It's fine, really," Evie stated to the tamer, who luckily had control over her own partner. "It would be a shame for us to start on the wrong foot," she hummed, giving a polite smile toward the Cho-Hakkaimon, "wouldn't you agree?" They were meant to be allies. On the same team. It was in everyone's best interest to agree on this question!
The red-eyed twin would let a huff escape, primarily from her nostrils, in some attempt for subtlety. "Right," she mumbled, seeming to agree with her sibling. It was so frustrating to play nice! But, she had to. It was clear that Evie wouldn't support any less-than-ideal actions at the moment, and Elsie was well aware that if she picked a fight, she'd have a hard time winning it without her sister's support.
While Evie swore she heard something about 'last names' coming from Katherine, she didn't say anything. After all, she wasn't even entirely sure what she had heard! But, the German girls weren't accustomed to going by last names, and if they did, it would only create confusion, considering they had the same one! It was far easier to just introduce themselves by first name alone!
"Nice to meet you, also."
"Less your par-- owww," Elsie had attempted to comment, only to feel Evie's fingertips digging into her shoulder. "It was a joke! It was a joke," she hissed, feeling the pressure release from her skin, and spotting Evie's hand dropping to her side.
It wasn't a joke.
But! Evie was pretty content with how things went, as far as judgement went! After all, everyone agreed with her assessment! Whether they had been considering it prior to her stating her opinion or not! "I'm glad that was easy to decide," the prim-and-proper blonde chimed, with a smile. "If we want allies, fighting is a terrible idea, regardless." Thus, she had to agree with what Katherine was saying! And Bella, for that matter!
"Let's just hope we don't screw up on either place!" Elsie commented, with a slightly cocky smile, when hearing Sasha's last statement on their vote. Who knew? Maybe if they hit it off with one of the groups, they'd be invited for dinner! As long as dinner wasn't some weird, gross alien-food, at least!
With that said and done, it seemed the twins were more than ready to select option 1, also!

Souji was happy that his opinion seemed to be shared by the majority of the party, everyone agreed on going to the same strong hold. But Katherine brough some interesting concerns regarding the thing they will miss out on if they do not go to the other one, she made a lot of good points but he still believed that they made the optimal decision. "I am glad I can say the same about you two, I see Jazz is still as excited as before." Bella said with a playful tone.
Souji then sat idly by as he saw Elsie, Evie and Katherine argue about the mission. He wanted to say something but he was too shy to even say it, Bella however was very interested in the twin girls. She turned towards Souji with a smile on her face, she gestured to him that she will be right back. Moments later she floated towards Elsie and Evie, with a gentle smile on her face Bella waved at the twins. "Hey there, I just wanted to drop by and say hello Elsie and Evie. We could try to get to know each other better, I think that'd be fun dont you think ?" The fairy said in a cheery and delighted tone, the reason she approached the twins was that, they were the first human twins she sees. And the fact that they were extremly adorable helped alot as well.
Souji was sitting there playing with his thumbs, he was worried about a bunch of things. Least of those was he might be the one who contributes nothing to the mission, he continued to think about these negative thoughts until he heard the spirit talk to him. (Hey kid, instead of wallowing in your self pity and feel sorry for yourself. How about you go approach the blonde spirit user, maybe she could provide some help.) The spirit said, Souji stopped for a few seconds before taking a deep breath and approache sasha.
"Uhh, you said your name was Sasha right ? That name is simlar to a comic book character, w-which means its good and cool." Did he just say cool ? My god Souji is bad at this "I just wanted to say hi and since we both are spirit users maybe we can be friends ? If you want." Souji said as he struggled to look Sasha in the eyes.

While everyone seemed to agree on where to go first in their assignment, there were already some (admitedly very small) clashing between some of the members.
For a fraction of a second she could notice the smallest hint of friction between the red eyed twin (Elsie was it?) and Katherine. Not much she could do about it other than just hope that would not come back to bite them in the ass later. But other than that everyone in the team seemed so far relatively trust worthy. Though obviously, she had a bit of a bias to some already, either for virtue of having met them already (like Akemi and her Bean) or...unintentionally appealing to her ego.
Just like Jazz had just done in a surprisingly direct and blunt manner, pointing and everything. She smugly smiled to herself, rather flattered by the pig girl's assumption. "You seem pretty capable yourself, Jazz." She was carrying a rather large weapon after all, and knowing digimon she probably knew how to crack some skulls open with it.
While Katherine's worries where both understandable and logical, in the end they didn't change how Sasha was ogoing to approach the situation. Luckily for the group, they seem to agree that starting a fight in the settlement was probably a very poor idea, and as such it was probably for the best to avoid unnecesary conflicts once inside.
"Sure...but if they attack us first don't expect me to just roll over and play dead." Sasha shrugged, a cocky smile etched on her face. "Sides, every possible choice comes with a big risk regardless. Hopefully this one should be the path of least resistance."
She then glanced back at Elsie, adding just as confidently, "You kidding me? Look at us, we're gonna be just fine. It's settled then, I guess." And with that she would press the option labelled as "1" on her terminal. Now all that was left was for the (largely unanimous) votes to be counted and the blimpmon to arrive to their chosen destination. In the mean time all that was left for them was to...socialize? Make small talk?
Not something she was all too keen on right now as she really only knew two people on board (as much as you could know someone after sharing just one tea party with them, at least), but it seemed like she wouldn't have much of a choice, as Souji would suddenly approach her and talk to her directly.
"Uhm..." To put it mildly, she was just a bit stumped and taken aback. While it was fairly clear everything Souji just said was meant in earnest, either the .
Her spirit was quick to catch her before she said anything. "Please be polite to him, he's just nervous."
She rolled her eyes a bit, but did her best to play along. "...thanks, I'm sure you're pretty nice too?" She said, struggling to find the right words for it. "I mean, friend is a bit of strong word but...you can try." She folded her arms, somewhat unsure.

The decision seemed to be fairly obvious. Tayichi'tai Stronghold won by popular vote; with that out of the way, the Blimpmon's began to accelerate again, its body taking a small turn to adjust its course accordingly. It was only a matter of time before a set of impressively tall, yet crude walls that enclosed a gigantic stronghold atop a cliff could be seen. Slowly, the Blimpmon began to descend near the fortification's entrance. And, interestingly enough, everyone's D-Terminals beeped once more. Subject: A small favor.
Yup. it's me being annoying again! May be butting in, but I think that you all made the right choice in regards to which place to visit first.
But that's not the reason why I'm writing. I've gotten some interesting readings from Tayichi'tai, even though I can't precisely pinpoint them. So... if you're up to it, I'll need for exactly one of you (any tamer/digimon pair and Elsie and Evie count as one, for obvious reasons. Don't worry about it) to sneak into the city and check out what's up while the others carry out the diplomatic mission accordingly.
I've prepared up to a pair of cloaking devices on the Blimpmon's back room. If anyone is going to do this, they should pick them up and get inside the city after the main group has gotten in, but before the gate closes. I will be able to roughly lead you, but not precisely; chances are that I won't be aware of any obstacles or enemies you might find along the way, so you'll be on your own on that regard.
I know this is sudden, so there won't be a lot of time for you to debate about it. Whoever wants to do this should press 1, and while I don't mind anyone taking this, you got to consider this will take a lot of stealth and finesse, so please have that in mind.
Oh, and one last thing! Before activating the cloaking device, please evolve or spirit evolve to the form most fitting to do the task; the thing will fizzle if you try to do that while already under its effect.
That's all I gotta say for now. I'll try to keep in touch, but I can't guarantee anything.

It wouldn't be long after that message was sent for the Blimpmon to finish its landing. If anybody decided to participate on the task offered, they would find up to two small, bracelet-like devices in the digimon's back room. They had a single button, but were rather plain otherwise. Regarding the others? Once out of their transport, they would find themselves a decent distance away from a massive portcullis, big enough to fit two MetalGreymons side by side. It was raised slowly, revealing a single figure behind it. A Duskmon. "Waiting for anything in particular?" He spat, his tone as curt as it could be. "Don't make me waste my time and get in."
I'd rather you figure out who's doing the stealth thing (IC or OOC), but if you can't, it'll work in a fcfs basis, in case anyone wants to do it.

With the decision made, Akemi felt like she was able to relax for a bit before they got to their destination. Anzu meanwhile put on a smirk. "Welp, let's get ready to out-badass the badasses and get them to like us! Good ol' Dark Area politics, how I've missed this!"
Akemi sighed. "...Kath's got a point, we need to go in calmly and try not to get into any fights. Though...We're bringing some rowdy company, from what I can see. So...We're gonna have to bring our a-game in." Upon the buzzing of the D-Terminal, Akemi flipped it out and read the message. As did Anzu. It didn't take a genius to figure out who would be best for this. They both looked towards Bella. "Hey, Bella, wouldn't you say this sort of job suits you?" Akemi asked of the fairy, with a smile.
Anzu meanwhile peered towards the remainder of the company. "...Let's decide this thing and get our butts in!"
...When they were met with a Duskmon, Akemi just stared up and shouted, "Well, we're not really trying to waste anyone's time, sorry! We'll be right in!"

Post by Katherine Jasso on Nov 8, 2018 5:13:54 GMT
Even when the interactions between the team’s members had proven to be pretty interesting so far, there was a certain amount of excitement around both Katherine and Jazz. Admittedly, most of it was coming from the pig-girl who couldn’t really wait to see how these tough guys looked.
In fact, the Cho-Hakkaimon was so excited she didn’t really catch Elsie’s half-comment, which was good, in all honesty. The red-eyed had all the right to make it. Jazz had come as kind of rude, even if unintentionally. Katherine simply nodded at the twins with a smile, like if asking to please ignore the fact that her partner was rather uncouth.
Her attention headed towards Isabella immediately after, regarding Jazz’s status since the last time they met. “Yes…” Katherine spouted, letting go a short sigh right after. “She actually hasn’t come back to being a Lopmon since then. I think it has to do with some frustration inside of her, due to certain things we’ve been through.” It was clear her partner was in a wide necessity to outer her frustration from her lack of strength to fight certain enemies they had faced. She accomplished this by maintaining her stage that was pure energy; which was, of course, Cho-Hakkaimon. “Luckily, she’s not as crazy as that time. She has managed to control her emotions a bit.” The knocking of Jazz’s feet on the floor of the blimp kept echoing through the vehicle. “She’s still too impatient” The green-eyed added, in case that wasn’t clear so far.
“I’ll show you later!” Jazz winked at Sasha, giving her a thumbs up while stopping the knocking for a second. She seemed to be getting along with one of their new acquaintances at least, which at least gave a bit of relief to Katherine.
Apparently, the decision-making time was not over. Another message reached everyone’s D-Terminal, and now they were facing another important resolution. Without even pondering about this for a second, Katherine stated her ground regarding this matter. “I'm sorry; I think Jazz is too hyperactive for us performing a stealthy task right now.” A pained countenance towards the crew, the teenager let go another sight. It seemed like an interesting endeavor, but doing that to Jazz, who was eager to start walking freely and knowing everything the Tayichi’tai Stronghold had to offer, was almost a crime right now, and something the pig-girl would probably not forgive easily.
“Yes! I don’t want to be hiding!” Jazz did a short raspberry, crossing her arms. “Don’t simplify it like that.” A small nudge coming from Katherine made her turn at her tamer. “Plus, that doesn’t mean if you stay with us you can go around being noisy. I need you to stay calm, please.” Turning towards Tinkermon, the curly-haired then tackled the suggestion about the fairy being fit for this kind of job. “That’s right, Isabella. You did say something about being good at sneaking around and gather intel.” She made a small pause, to wait for confirmation from the fairy. “Would you and Himura be up for this task?”
Once it was all decided and they had descended into the fortress’ entrance, they would catch a glance of a dark warrior, with a very disturbing choice of armor, “greeting” them.
Both Katherine and Jazz rushed towards the door, bowing at him once they were close enough. While they walked, Katherine whispered something to Akemi, who she was walking right next to.
“Let’s keep our eyes open, Akemi. Maybe he could be around here.”

Post by Elsie and Evie on Nov 9, 2018 6:49:11 GMT
It was definitely a good thing that Jazz hadn't heard Elsie. One could only cringe at what surely would have followed if she had! Instead, Evie continued her polite smile at Katherine. The twins had nothing against Katherine, after all. It had been her pig that had offended them! But, Evie knew that it was something she had to ignore, and Elsie knew that she didn't like Evie's fingernails creeping under her collarbone to restrain her! So, it all worked out in some way or another!
At least Katherine discussing her partner's personality managed to shed a little light on things.
But! Now, they had a new distraction! "Hello," the twins responded, simultaneously. Now, Evie's polite smile turned to a more friendly one. "I agree. That does sound fun!" To this, Elsie only nodded. Maybe, she was still a bit frustrated about Jazz! "Hopefully, we can become good friends."
Not that they would have much more opportunity to chat at the moment! With a new message from Amy, the twins turned their focus to the subject. The twins fingers intertwined with one another, while Evie used her free hand to hold a single D-Terminal up for both of them to read. Now, it was Akemi's turn to be the one with the first suggestion! And, it was the only one that seemed logical, really!
"I'd rather see these brute-sounding guys," Elsie commented, mostly to herself. Or to Evie. But, that may as well have been 'to herself' also!
And, really, all Evie could do was nod about that. "It does seem that you're the best candidate for the job." She felt a little bad for agreeing to separate Bella and Souji from the rest of the team, though! But, sacrifices must be made!
Once everything was settled and they were ready to begin the actual visit, neither twin made a point to apologize for making the Duskmon wait. Instead, Elsie leaned toward her sister and questioned, "think I can find some armor like that, too?"
Evie certainly hoped not.
But, at least they were letting the group come in! One step toward success!
