Aeterna, it's a name of a bar with rather unique look. Located on the less urban part of Terminus City, it stuck like a sore thumb in various building made of concrete as the only one made out of brick and woods. The bar gave view like those tavern one visit in medieval times. At daytime, it looked like a huge cafe. The alcohols are of course barred. The menus are mostly those that you can easily find in family restaurants, although the desserts on the other hand... would make anyone wonder if the creator is sane or not.
For example: Apple pie with fruity tea. A lot might think they'll be served apple pie with tea on the side... wrong. They'll be served a floating apple pie on top of a cup of a tea.
...It was such a wacky combination that no one understood how the owner can keep the mix stays together without actually ruining the taste. However, it's definitely not a regular experience.
Outside this bar, there would be a really fluffy looking white Gaomon distributing fliers with menu written on it. As some humans pets his head, he would looks absolutely in bliss (pity his head doesn't extend several meters but eh). Inside, the barmaster and owner, Hikaru the kilted Dorumon is working hard serving the customers. They do have several other workers, mostly feline and canine Digimon, but either way, beast types. The only human worker here is Yuuki, the Dorumon's partner and linked human.
"Order up, three plates of karaage, two pitchers of cola with six glasses, two omelette and two fried rice," the human rattled the order to the Dorumon.
"Roger that!"
Today too, the store is busy.
By the way, there are also candies on the counter that seem the customer can take. It's called Wannyan Candy. It's usually a savory treat instead of a candy, something like a jerky, but in chewy candy shape. It's rather popular with the customer... but as why there's a huge bucket of it, no one really knows.

"So is this our plan? Eating at every restaurant in the digital world?"
A blonde-haired, blue-eyed human boy wearing a black baseball cap, glasses, a backpack, and blue fingerless gloves stood outside of the intriguing bar, watching the swaths of people enter. Next to him was his digimon partner, an other-wise ordinary-looking Veemon who was wearing a grey ivy cap.
"Why wouldn't we? We've made plenty of good friends at these places. Plus, maybe we'll find a place we like above all the others to come back to more often. So for the moment, it's Digital Diner's Drive-Ins, and Dives. Not that you'd, uh... know what that means, Levi."
"I sure don't," agreed the Veemon.
"Let's just go in."
"Let's."
The pair began to walk up to the door. Alan noticed that the Gaomon handing out menus was getting a kick out of being pet by passer-by, so he delighted momentarily in taking the flier, and then doing the same. "Thanks! Ah! You're so fluffy!" he would tell them as he walked through the door.
They managed to find themselves an empty seat inside, where they both sat and began reading their menus. As usual, neither could come to a quick decision about what they wanted, and decided they'd wait and ask for recommendations. That way, they were more likely to try something they hadn't tried before.

Haku was pleased, looks like this one guy is another friendly guy. He wagged his tail at the new guy momentarily before returning to his fliers distributing job.
The flies obviously detailed the special for today, a whole roast sirloin with special white sauce, which honestly is odd when considering it's that huge meat on bone that happened to be called sirloin or some reason, topped with white sauce made from cheese base. Allergens obviously detailed in the menu. Other special includes baked chicken and herb rice, which apparently quite popular as lot of the customer is picking it for their meals.
"Welcome," out of sudden, Hikaru approached the duo, grinning in his friendliest manner. "New face? Welcome to Aeterna. We're cafe at the morning and around 9 PM to 3 AM we're bar. Mostly at this time we're selling foods from various background and dessert-drink combo wombo. My name is Hikaru, I'm the owner of the settlement! The fliers my son there distributed are mostly our promotional menu. The full menu is here," Hikaru passed the two newcomer a menu book each. "Although if you want something recommended, I suggest to try a bit of our soup for the day for appetizer, it's Digishroom soup with potatoes and assorted meats. If you're ready to move to the main dish, perhaps the herb rice and baked chicken. It's inspired from Indian dishes, but made to be less strong. Obviously we can custom it to your liking. By the way, if you're unsure you can browse stuff over there," he pointed at showcase wall where various plastic food made to the likeness of the food and drink menus is displayed. It's a standard practice on japanse restaurant, to have the plastic food display, and to Hikaru, that's a great idea to promote how the food looks like."
"I'll leave you be for now. I'll be back with some of our berry tea on house, enjoy your time and don't hesitate to call me, even for chat. I like chattin---"
"Give them room to breathe, Hikaru," Yuuki chided, although he can't help but to smile wryly at his partner. "If he bothers you too much just tell me, you two."

So the digimon distributing fliers out there is their son? That's... kind of adorable.
"Oh, no, you're not bothering us at all!" assured the young man before turning his attention back to the menu he had just been given. "Hmm... uh... oh, man..." He was now tapping his feet uncomfortably, as if he absolutely had to make a decision in the next moment.
"Having trouble deciding, Alan?" chimed in the Veemon. "We can go with the recommendations. Like you said, you wanted to give everything a try, right?"
"Yeah, that is what I said. Sure, thanks!" He turned back to Hikaru. "We'll both start with the soup, then move on to the chicken and rice you recommended. Oh, and one more thing: in addition to the tea, I'll also take a glass of ice water. No lemon."
"I'll be fine with just the tea," added the boy's partner. "Thank you!"

"Heh, I don't like infused water myself," Hikaru admitted. "A bit too fruity for my taste. Japan have a lot of those problem you know, about flavored water I mean. Sure there are tapwater, but bleeeeh. I want my mineral water now and then you got me? But a lot of the store only sells flavored waters. Ain't buying it anytime soon, those stuff. Anyway, lemme repeat your order. A glass of iced water, two portions of soup of the day and special menu B: Herb Rice and Baked Chicken, yes? Certainly, please do wait."
If there is a good thing about this, it's mostly that the soups are made in huge amount, thus they only need to scoop it and it only need to be added with garnishes, meanwhile the rice is made in batch. Thus only one needed to be cooked this time around is the chicken. The waiting time is not too long thanks to that.
Hikaru returned with small pot of tea. "By the way, this berry tea have a little fun way to drink them. Yes, this is hot tea. Inside we put in some dried berries and a bit of fresh one for flavor... However!" he would then whip out a small chilly box where the inside reveals colorful cubes of gelatinous substances. "These are jellified juices. Add them based on your preference. Orange for cranberries, pink for strawberries, red for raspberries, purple for blueberries. Currently we only have four berry options. This is a new menu that will be added in the shop later. If you don't mind, please do try and tell me how it taste."
"Promotion aside," this time around Yuuki approached with the soups. "Dear customers, your appetizer is ready. Do enjoy our special mushroom soup with four meats."
and then he put down a small bucket containing breads. "The bread came with the soup. They're garlic bread."

"Haha, yeah, and I'm pretty sure foreigners aren't supposed to drink tap water anyway. I always ask for the lemon left out; I never know where to put it. Yes, that's correct! Thanks!" said Alan with a smile, as he watched the Dorumon retrieve their order.
While the two waited for a short time, Alan was smiling, looking at Levi silently with his elbows on the table, and his head resting on his folded hands.
"Well?" prompted Levi, noticing this upbeat behavior.
"They're so nice~" sighed Alan.
"They sure are! Oh, look, they're back already!"
The dragon and his partner listened as their free drinks were explained to them.
"Funny thing about those flavoring options... I don't like strawberries, but I always love strawberry flavoring. So... pink."
Then the two saw their appetizers arrive.
"Awesome! I love garlic bread. Thank you!" Alan took a piece of bread from the bucket and handed it to Levi. "Here, Levi. It's good on its own, but also try dipping it in the soup before taking a bite!" They both did exactly that, chewing for a few seconds in quiet happiness, before each taking a sip of the tea. Levi took to it quite eagerly, drinking most of it down, while Alan took small sips here and there. "The tea is good," he said, "I just have a very limited palette when it comes to drinks."
"It's all amazing!" cheered the Veemon. "The soup, the drinks, the bread, everything!"

"There's almost no difference between Japanese tap water and any of the country that you come from I think, except if your tap water is undrinkable. But still, I would not suggest it. Rest assured, our water came directly from a natural spring after filtered several times, so it should be completely fine for consumption. Do not worry, friend." The ice is clear, but that's given. After all, this place runs bar at the night, so a clear ice is definitely given due to the situation.
"Glad that you like it, heh heh! Our chef would be the most pleased to hear that! Don't like strawberries eh... was it because the sour taste mixed in or something else out of curiosity? Speaking of which, I'd love to add Boysenberries to it, but sadly, that's probably copyrighted heh heh, so I can't carelessly put it in my menu at all, you know? Although, seeing how you like it like this, I'm tempted to go hunt for berries myself..."
"Hikaru, don't linger too long," Yuuki reminded as he took order from the other tables.
"Aw, my partner is such a killjoy! Anyway, I'll bring your rice over soon, alright? Our staff doesn't have the concept of sitting any sort of tables, so if you need any help, just press the button over there," Hikaru pointed at a bell near the table number plaque.
About five to ten minutes later, the Dorumon brought their herb rice. Green bits scattered around the mostly orange colored rice. Smell of spices and the herb seem to have hunger stimulating effect. The chickens are cut like chicken fillet, and topped with some sauce that is reminiscent of curry, but not so thick and as fragant so it won't overpower the rice's spices.
"And here is your main dish! Please enjoy!"
And with that, Hikaru returned to the counter. Some of the customer left their table to strike a chat with him on the counter and the Dorumon seem to be happy to chat with them. It's seem completely normal for them to do that in here.

Alan didn't know if he was supposed to care that the ice was clear, but he was glad to hear the tap water was safe if he ever had to drink it.
"Ahaha, I wouldn't know exactly why I don't like strawberries... I don't exactly have a way with words when it comes to describing tastes. Regardless... I'll be sure to enjoy the main dish."
Neither tamer nor partner said anything as they ate their meals at the speeds they were both comfortable with, but they eventually both cleaned their plates, one hundred percent satisfied with the taste.
"It doesn't feel like we've been in here too long, but... I'm glad we came here. It's welcoming in more ways than just the overall atmosphere."
Levi nodded.
"I'm... trying to start a conversation, if you have anything you want to add," teased Alan.
"Every time I wanna say something, you say it first. Otherwise, I'd love to."
"Heh..." At that point, Alan and Levi caught sight of the other patrons talking to Hikaru. They turned to each other, opened their mouths to make a suggestion, closed their mouths, and then got up to go over to the counter.
"Hey, Hikaru," he said as he approached. "I think I'd like to try out this 'chatting' thing."
Levi gave his partner a nasty glare, which was mostly in jest, before speaking. "Yeah."
The young man felt a little bad for his partner. "Sorry, I'll... I'll let you talk first for a while."
"Alan, you don't have to... I mean... thank you. So, Hikaru… oh, are you still busy with other customers? We both could use a nice chat."

"Pffft, trying 'chatting'? Well, that's ain't new for me! For better or worse, I'm the most fabulous doru ever, it's normal for people to be attracted to me, even in not romantic way--and please, don't let it be romantic. I got a fiance already, he would raise a lot of questions bahaha. But yeah, what do you want to talk about boys? I'm all ears. Love problems? Or something like asking for tutoring to be as fabulous as me? I might looks like this but as I said, I'm the most fabulous Dorumon currently exist. That won't change anytime soon~"
"That's putting it nicely. Putting it frankly, he's a blabbermouth with big ego," Yuuki commented with a teasing grin at his partner.
"Oh you hurt me so, partner. Don't you said that I'm the most fabulous one around and there are none that matches my fur in softness, the glisten and the floof?"
"Lies and slander. Haku is more pleasant to pet."
"Pshaw, he got his old man's fur, that's for sure. However, he still have long way to go until he's as great as yours truly. A fluffy fur is nothing if you don't take care of it regularly. A nice fur is nice to the touch, but the TRUE luxurious fur are the kind that will not be easily ruined by dirt and stays fabulous all day long!"
"Right, right,"
"Don't worry boys, Hikaru is not too busy for any sort of chat--"
"Only because you're helped by us, otherwise you'll be ten tables behind."
"Hush, Yuuki. So how about I offer you two a bit of dessert eh? Take it as freebie for future visits. I'd be really happy if you guys decide to become regulars you know."
With a click of a button, suddenly the bar counter flipped and revealed small ice cream compartments with various tastes. "Pick any flavors, boys. Only the first serving is free, so make sure to use that chance, heh heh! So, how long have you been around? Your partner smells like he's strong enough for Adult stage, but you're... not quite there I see. How I know you ask? Well, I got the experience. When you're as experienced as me, you only need one glance at a Digimon, and you can sense what level is he hiding. Usually that is. There are of course exceptions."

Alan was trying to stifle his laughter as Hikaru went on about his own fabulousness bickered with Yuuki. He didn't do very well in keeping his laughter to himself, eyes becoming saturated with incoming tears that never fell. Admittedly, he wouldn't have found the situation so hilarious if he was in less of a relaxed state. Needless to say, the blonde couldn't help but sneak a few peaks at the Dorumon's fur, before being surprised by the flipping of the counter and the offer of a free dessert, which they both happily took. He chuckled again before speaking, hopefully making it clear he was joking.
"So that's your game, huh? Tell us you've got a fiancé, talk all about how fabulous you and your fur are, and then offer us some free ice cream? Ice cream? One of the fastest ways to a lactose-tolerant man's heart? That's devious. Villainous, really." His playful smirk changed to an honest grin. "And I think we'll all be great friends."
The Veemon's cheeks blushed as obviously as a blue dragon's cheeks could when Hikaru called out his level of experience. Part of it was because of his impressions accuracy, but it was the other part that affected him more. "Strong enough for... I... I couldn't possibly! I mean, I barely have any fighting experience, and... and..." Levi's voice trailed off as he suddenly became distracted by some other mental image he seemed to be having. "Fl... ame… dramon…" he said, barely loud enough for anyone to hear.
Did he just say "Flamedramon?" I swear that's what he just said. That's... really cute, but if I recall, Leith said you needed something special for that. The last thing I want to do is mention it now, though...
"It's as you say. We're literal rookies; we haven't been in the digital world very long at all. Can I just say... it's a lovely place you guys have here. I've been loving it so far."

"Oh yeah, fear Hikaru, the most evil overlord of all time, owner of the most fabulous fur of all Digital World, Conqueror of Sweet Tooth and Patron of all mad flavor invention! Mwahahahaha~~!" for some reason, there are sound effect of lightning striking as he said that. The reason? Simple. It's Yuuki playing the pre-recorded sound effect.
"Your evil laughter need a bit more of a work there, bud," Yuuki teased.
"Bah, at this time like this you should be more discreet! Or evolve me to Dorugamon just for fun!"
"I'll have to refuse."
Still, the Dorumon raised an eyebrow amusedly at the Vmon's reaction. "A bit green, but not too green. Just train a bit, you'll get there, young Levi," of course he only meant teasing for the last part. "What's this about Fladramon I'm hearing? Some sort of plan to woo someone of higher strength? Hehe, it's alright. I can't speak from experience as my fiance was actually weaker than me back then, but trust me, love came from the heart. Just take it slow, learn their interest, attempt to understand them and when you're comfortable enough, send signals that you're interested to be more than a friend."
Hikaru then turned his attention back to Alan. "Well, then, newbie. Do you need any sort of pointers? I felt that if your partner is already this strong but still have yet reached adult stage, I'm guessing you're playing it safe, yes? There's nothing wrong with that. Many would probably call you too cautious, but for me there's nothing wrong for that. You first need to know demographic of the world. If you want to, and no one told you yet, we'll be happy to teach you."

"Mmm, careful, all that lightning might mess up your fur," teased Alan in return. Levi, strangely enough, handled Hikaru's teasing slightly better than he handled him speaking seriously.
"Huh? No! You're off the mark! Well, not entirely off the mark, but Flamedramon's not who I'm trying to-"
Rephrase, Levi! Don't make them too curious!
"I-I'm not trying to woo Flamedramon!" is how he decided he would answer. The dragon was shaking slightly. He knew he had messed up, yet at the same time, was pleasantly surprised by how relatively small the slip-up was. "I'll take that advice into consideration if I ever need it, though, so... thanks, anyway."
Alan continued speaking in response to Hikaru's inquiries. "Yep, we're taking it easy. If there's two things we know about the digital world, it's one: we're hella outmatched, and two: we cannot possibly grasp the true extent of how hella outmatched we are until it literally hits us in the face. I think, though, that your offer would help us get a bit closer, so we're always happy to learn more!"

"Bah, I'm not like you humans. I won't get all fluffed up with lightning strike, nor I would somehow glitter with all the alien dead skin slash debris you call dandruff! Ick, you should see some people who doesn't care about hygiene suddenly zapped and all those dead skins suddenly just... flew all direction."
Hikaru raised his nonexistent eyebrow at Levi's weak parry though. "Oh? Then what is this, pray? This sounded like either you want to woo someone that is a Fladramon, or you want to be one yourself. In case of the latter, I have no idea how evolution works. You can either get it or you it's a miss. But either way, if it's the former, then... Let me just say..." Hikaru leaned in and smirked cheekily. "This master of date here would gladly give you his dating tips, including location of stores, dating places, and nice scenery for photoshoot in Terminus, Whitewater, and even Snowflake. Hikaru knows it all."
"Well, so he claims. I'd refute it, but no, he's serious. He really know his stuff."
And on subject about the city, Hikaru rolls out a map---and the picture somehow always changing. It definitely would make anyone confused why it's like this, but he just chuckled.
"...No one ever mapped out Digital World, so it's like this. It felt absolutely chaotic, everchanging, but at the same time, not really. The general place is always there, but when you ask "where is X?" no one really know beside approximation and the Trailmons. The location is always there, but the borders often changes, or expand, or something else. Digital World is wonky that way... but either way, there are four places generally, five with the center, or seven if you count heaven and hell ha. Ready to learn 'em?"

Levi pouted and crossed his arms in response to Hikaru's pressing.
"Fine, yeah, you got me, I want to be Flamedramon, and I know I don't have any control over whether it happens, so, whatever! It's fine! I'm fine! I..." Levi practically turned purple. "...wouldn't mind hearing those dating tips anyway. In case I need them later, if anyone, uh... 'strikes my fancy.'"
"Oh, man, can you imagine how cute it would be if a Veemon was dating a Flamedramon, though? Like-"
"Yes. I can." Levi now had his face buried into the table, and was nearly crying.
Alan felt terrible, and figured it would be best to change the subject. "S...so... how about that map, huh? The shifting certainly explains a lot about what I've been experiencing travel-wise, and, uh, given the full extent of my knowledge of the parts of the digital world I haven't been to is 'don't go to Luminas,' I think we'd better start the lesson as soon as possible."

"Heh, now you're talking, kiddo," Hikaru commented. "Very well! Dating master Hikaru will tell you how to be a hit with the stronger Digimons!"
Out of sudden, he pulled a professor's hat from out of his kilt, and a coat at it. To complete the set, he put a handleless glasses on his snout and a teacher stick.
"Listen well young one. First, strong Digimons tends to prefer you to appreciate their power. I'm not saying that you should be entirely submissive, but let's just say, first and foremost, you need to be honest with your feeling. Tell them straight on what makes you fancy them, you know? Stroke their ego a bit. Tell them what makes you admire them and such. However, tendency with stronger Digimon is that they don't want you to be a complete follower either. You need to get on to their level. Get stronger, carry your weight, don't toss it around to them, and you'll be fine. They tend to understand their position as the 'giver', but you should 'give' too. For example, learn their interest, learn their favorite food and perhaps cook for them, or those ind of thing, you know?"
While Hikaru gives Levi a lesson, Yuuki continues with explaining the map for Alan.
"Luminas probably the worst bet for some of you. Well, you're Vaccine, so they're probably more accepting, but... Luminas apparently was attacked by a group of human in the past, so they developed dislike toward humans. So, quoting Hikaru "Even if I'm a vaccine, I wouldn't even dare to touch that place where people shit gold and act like they're the holiest people ever with 80000 kilometers pole.
If you want to go to people friendly place, try Rosewood Town. They're very accepting. Tourism is very strong in Whitewater, so you can go there too. There's not much to see in Snowflake, but recently they're starting to get into boom too. Rustport was really developed, but lately seem to be rather stagnated. Places that you shouldn't go to obviously Dark Area and Eldoradimon. The former because the... huge danger level, the latter because they're even more hostile to human compared to Luminas you see. Luminas often see human as a disposable pawn, but Eldoradimon people see us as invader, pretty much... That's pretty much about the town. Any question for now?"
