As it turned out, their strategy worked half and half ; Vee, although both of his attacks didn't make a direct hit, his first attack did enough to spin Helomon out of control, making the two gunners disoriented in the process. Gummy;s huge beam attack on the other hand successfully landed a blow on Blipmon, the blast leaving a big scorch mark on the Digimon's underbelly. Sure, his size, offensive and defensive capabilities were something to be slightly intimiated about, but that all means nothing if you don't have the overall speed to boot. However, that doesn't mean they should let their guard down, as another card was activated, and Gummy was in their sights yet again. He took up a defensive pose, wondering what the next card would be. Was his opponent about to channel the strength of a War Greymon and blast him with a giant molten fireball from, or were they going to summon the Omega Blade from Imperialdramon: Paladin Mode and use it to slash at him multiple times. As it turned out, it was a...green breeze? The Arresterdramon watched as it blew right at him, feeling a nice, refreshing breeze. Gummy became a bit puzzled by this. "Umm...what was that?" he questioned Helomon. Why would their General use a card like that if it wasn't going to cause any damage? Could it be that he was running out of cards and use that card in a desperate attempt? Tadayoshi then called his team again, probably realizing that the mix-up he had going on at the moment was not working. Helomon then started to point a red laser at the twins, the beam following them with every movement that take. No matter how fast they tried to fly out of the way, the laser was not letting them out of it's trajectory. Then, missiles began to shoot out, the ballistic artillery producing wails that would make any Digimon with enhanced hearing cringe in response. Seeing as how the missles were tracking their movements thanks the to laser pointer, the two had no choice but to take the attack head on. They put their arms up towards their chest, and the missiles made contact. Two explosions wracked across the battlefield, and the twins came crashing the ground as a result of it. "Oh damn, you guys ok?" Justice yelled with concern in his voice. "Uggh. Not the first time we've been hit with rockets before, but we're ok." Vee responded, picking himself back up and helping Gummy as well. "Goddamn were those missles making me cringe," Gummy added. Turing their attention back to their opponents, Vee and Gummy were met with WarPteramon again along with a new fusion: Assaultmon. The new arrival wasted no time and started sending a volley of bullets their way. The two then started to fly at separate directions, but tanks to Assaultmon's dual chain guns, he can aim at them both at the same time. Spotting some rock structures, the two decided to go their and take some cover. With the way how fast their opponent was firing, they couldn't risk attacking without taking the full brunt of that assault. Playing it safe this time, they'll have to wait until he ceased firing, and then charge at him. Combat Log:Gummy was unaffected by Bunny Blast.
Vee and Gummy were hit by Laser Paint.Vee and Gummy were force to evade Supressing Fire, unable to attack for this turn. Flying away at first and then taking some cover next to some rock formations. Combat Passive:Dragon's Armor - Gummy's rubberized battle armor is very durable, giving him a 30% defensive boost against projectiles attacks. Cooldowns:Crimson Flare: 1/2 posts. Wing Guardian: 2/2 posts; ready for use Vee Breath Arrow: 2/2 posts.; ready for use "I'm Getting Excited": 2/4 posts.

Excellent. The armed centaur smirked under his mask as he examined the situation. Try to launch an attack from back there. That poor rock formation sure got chipped and battered, but these bullets just didn't have the mass or energy to pierce it. The twins were safe for now.
Without the need to dodge anything, that evasive stealth bomber flew up high to get nice and far while the twins wouldn't move. Like her general, she knew how to count. Six cards each. And she recalled the one card her general used that Justice did not. You can't get close if I'm too fast and too far to chase down while you're hunkering down, she reasoned during her steep ascent, And I can keep range at bay with this. With a 360-rotation midair, she began to let her flare defenses fly behind herself again. I'm not in any shape to take that kind of attack. If it's definitely coming, I need to save myself first.
Tadayoshi used the spare seconds to examine the options. We're both down to one card, and that means we can both know exactly which card is about to come. I have this. Tadayoshi held Guardromon in front of himself. And he has... Yoshi looked across the way at Justice. Yes, he remembered what card that was.
For a moment, the twins were about exactly where Assaultmon wanted them, that being taking cover from his absolutely relentless attack. They probably thought they were safe back there, too. But Assaultmon knew exactly how to reach them even sealed up like that. Now-
"Digi-Modify! Destruction Grenade, activate!"
"-What?" Asssaultmon's guns stopped making rapid buzz sounds and instead continued to spin harmlessly while making quick little click sounds. His belt of ammo for that attack had been exhausted at last. He had intended to reload quickly, but in the middle of it some small rocket launchers materialized near his elbow joints. Well, he was at least cognizant enough to follow the lead he was given. "Destruction Grenade!" Pow! Pow! Pow! There was no direct line of sight, and that meant no direct hit. But Assaultmon was trying to shoot his missiles to each side of the rock structure and slightly behind them with this missile barrage. Were they in range? He couldn't know, but he did have to try. "General?"
"Evasive maneuvers!" In a fast-paced battle he didn't want to risk being more detailed with more fractions of seconds, but Assaultmon to his credit obeyed unquestioningly. The usual combo was just going to have to wait. "Scatter Clone!" Assaultmon turned tail and ran away from the twins toward their 10-o'-clock. But wait... there were two targets soon. A sort of afterimage of Assaultmon broke off from the real one and diverged, instead fleeing toward their 12-o'-clock. Yet, still, they multiplied again. Another Assaultmon split off of those two, one galloping toward 11-o'-clock and yet another fleeing in the direction of 1 along with a fifth Assaultmon evading toward 2. Each of them zigged an zagged and bobbed and weaved and just tried their hardest to be unpredictable, undesirable targets. It was hard to tell them apart through dust or by impact with the environment, nor even the best scent tracking; since each of the fakes was an afterimage of Assaultmon moving absurdly fast, it meant he really was in all of those places - not quite at the exact same time, no, but damn near close to it. In the split-second when - if - an attack hit an image of the centaur, would that be where Assaultmon was in that instant?
Tadayoshi couldn't blame Assaultmon from balking at the sudden change in plan. We were just about to have them right back on the run, but I'd rather my team be on the run than on the ground. But like a pro, Assaultmon also switched gears in an instant, and apparently WarPteramon didn't even need the command in the first place. It was like Yoshi said from the start: adaptation. But if they can just hold their ground a little longer... they'll know what to do. Tadayoshi looked at his empty card hand. It wasn't empty for long. The same seven cards put themselves right back in it. I know I will. Actions:
Jetmon used Flare Blinder. -Flare Blinder: This digimon begins to release a flares behind her as she flies that confuse the enemy to make ranged attacks 50% more likely to miss her for 3 posts. Cooldown: 2 posts. Tadayoshi activated Guardromon (Silver). Assaultmon attacked whomever he could possibly hit behind the rock formation with Destruction Grenade. -Destruction Grenade: The target Digimon fires a barrage of missiles from its wrists. Assaultmon used Scatter Clone. --Scatter Clone: This digimon moves so quickly that the afterimages he leaves look like up to four solid clones. These clones separately speak and can appear to use abilities but can’t actually use them. A clone disappears if it gets hit by a damaging ability, if the real Assaultmon gets hit by a damaging ability, or after three of the opponent’s posts. Cooldown: 3 posts.
Status:
Jetmon is spouting flares: 3 posts remaining. Assaultmon has four clones left: 3 posts remaining.
Relevant passives:
-High-Altitude Flying (passive): This digimon flies at speeds and altitudes fast and high enough to make her very difficult to target. While airborne, this digimon gains a 30% evasion boost.
Cooldowns:
Suppressive Fire: 2 Parcel Drop: 1 Scatter Clone: 3 Flare Blinder: 2

Bullet after bullet, the Assaultmon kept firing at the cover the two dragons were hiding. Chips of rock and dead plants flew everywhere as their ringing began to hum loudly in their ears. The rock structure was not going to be able to make much more damage any longer if this keeps up. Then, after what seemed like forever, the firing stopped. No bullets seemed to be hailing their way to pierce them. The twins assumed that their opponent had to reload, and considering that Assaultmon's attention would be to slightly retreat and to fully load up all those bullets in dual chain guns, they saw it as the perfect opportunity to strike. They knew where he was at thanks to rain of bullets after all. "Ok, plan, fast, now!" Gummy quickly said, wanting to get out of hiding so he can give their opponents what's coming. "Same plan: double team 'em, and watch each other backs like Justice said." Vee responded. Just then, the Assaultmon shouted the name of his attack, a move that the Areo Veedramon used earlier on WarPteramon. Hearing multiple roaring noises getting closer and closer, that was the cue for the brothers to get out of hiding. Using their wings, the two quickly ascended, splitting off into two separate directions. The multiple missiles made short work of the rock formation they were hiding in, blowing it to smithereens in the process. It would have been bad for them if they took more missiles to the face, again. The battle was starting to wane in on the two. This was the first fight ever where they have to give it their all. As much as the two of them, and Justice didn't like Tadayoshi and his army, they had to give where credit is due: they were a force to be reckoned with. But still, that doesn't mean they'll throw in the towel. This match was important for all three of them, to finally settle the score, and they weren't going to let this opportunity slip away so his opponents would bask in the glory and look down on them again like before. WarPteramon was out of range for the two of them, and seeing how she went back to providing support flares, they decided to focus their attention on the centaur Digimon then started to produce clones, each of them splitting off into multiple directions, aiming to confuse Vee and Gummy. Much like the original they were physical, making tracks along the earth; they weren't illusions. Mistaking one of them for the real one could cost them, as that would allow Assaultmon to retaliate if it was revealed who they were attacking is actually a clone. There really was no way to attack him unless they play with chance. But luckily, they didn't have to. Justice scanned at the only card he had left. He had a feeling that Tadayoshi knew which card it was since they both essentially had the same deck, so there was no point in concealing it any longer. "Alright, last card, so let's gamble." he said, slashing the card. A halo ring materialized on top of the twin dragons, and then started to spread throughout their bodies. This card was unlike anything they had experience before. Powerful strength began to course through their digicode, increasing their strength, speed, defensive, you name it. "I'll scatter you all to the wind!"Gummy defiantly stated, his wings expanding as he concentrated a large ball of energy in the middle. "Crimson Bolide!" Large fire bullets once again began to rain across the battlefield, aiming at not just one Assualtmon, not two, but all five of them! Thanks to the power-up, this attack will do more than just leave a burn mark if it hit his opponent. Vee in response to this started to fly into the firestorm, summoning his wind shield once more so he wouldn't get hit by Gummy's attack while also using it as some sort of a smoke screen. Aiming at one of the Assaultmon's, whether if it was the real one or not, he clenched his fist and aimed to punch him into the ground. Assuming if his brother wiped out the majority of them and there was only just one clone left, he had a 50/50 chance of landing a hit on the real one since he'll be too busy dodging. Those were odds he was betting on. Combat Log:Gummy and Vee avoided Destruction Grenade (RIP to the rock formation).Justice slashed his final card, activating Uranusmon.Gummy attacks Assaultmon and his clones with Crimson Bolide, the attack being dramatically boosted by Halo HaloVee flies into Crimson Bolide and activates Wind Guardian, the defensive move being dramatically boosted by Halo Halo.Vee aims at one of the Assaultmon's, clone or the real one, with a strong punch, his strength being dramatically boosted by Halo Halo.Crimson Bolide - Focuses energy into the outstretch of his wings and razes the earth with fire barrages, scorching the area.
