Getting Back to Work [AEGIS]

Post by Sophie & Lantis on Jan 8, 2020 10:39:27 GMT
Well, she had taken about as much leave as could be deemed acceptable from her usual duties. Sophie James, leader of AEGIS, had taken... quite a number of days of absence from this place. She had spent most of it in the digital world, learning how to be better prepared for the dangers and risks that being a digimon tamer would entail, along with her partner Lantis the Leomon.
Of course, she wasn't entirely unaccessible. She kept in constant contact with other AEGIS members, mainly her brother Colin as well as Tadayoshi - the two strongest of AEGIS, and gave assistance wherever she could. But it was about time that she resumed her job at the helm and help them through this.
Sophie had obtained much in her leave. She had obtained not only Lantis's Armor Champion digimental, but also his Armor Ultimate. So that if a Control Spire or other piece of Black Digicite technology appeared, they would be prepared for that. Furthermore, she knew that her absence as leader would be appreciated by DATS, given their uneasy relationship at the moment. To her relief, they took her absence as an indication that AEGIS would yield to them the responsibilities of the security of Tokyo... and boy did that backfire on them with the events of Golden Week as she heard of them. Still, AEGIS as an organization could hardly be blamed for that fracas, so, it seemed like a win/win.
And so, that morning in Tokyo, Sophie returned to the headquarters in person - dressed in her uniform, the holosuited Lantis at her side. Once inside, Lan deactivated the holosuit, resuming his normal Leomon form.
"Whew, feels good to be back." Lantis said, looking around at the office - still thankfully kept in pristine condition. Several of the office workers employed here recognized them and greeted them. Both Lantis and Sophie gladly greeted them back.
"Yeah, it does." Sophie agreed, but wouldn't let her course be distracted here. The main reason she was here was because Colin had sent her an urgent message on Tamernet telling her that their grandmother Emiko would be paying a visit in the afternoon. She had said she simply wanted to see how her grandchildren were going on, but Sophie knew that this was sweet-talk for "official inspection." Emiko was the primary financer behind AEGIS after all, and she'd obviously be interested in where her money was going.
"So then... hopefully more than a few other agents can be present here." Sophie remarked. She knew Colin would be - she made him promise personally. It would be great if Tadayoshi and Johan could be as well, as they had been fairly active as agents recently.
"Would your grandmother be... disappointed with our performance lately?" Lantis asked, a little worried. Sophie gave a confident smile in return.
"We talked it over when the thing happened last year and DATS got on the scene." Sophie replied. "She said our best move would be for us to keep our heads down at this stage. Don't give DATS a reason to go after us. And also that we should "do what we must" as Chosen. So we've been following her orders for this time, I don't think she'll be disappointed."
Lantis gave a sigh of relief in response. For now, they would move to the head seat in the office. Sophie bit her lip as she looked over all of the messages she had missed in her absence, she and Lantis would have to go over this in full over the next few weeks, it seemed.
But for now, they'd wait for the other AEGIS agents to arrive.

Early that morning, Agent Walker yawned as he poured himself and Dokamon each a bowl of cereal in the kitchen. The young agent had not gotten much sleep ever since the New Year's disaster and the Golden Week fiasco. He's definitely tried to put it behind him, but to Johan it seems like everything is falling apart and he can't do anything to help, or he's unable to.
He feels useless.
Not that he's confided that with anyone, not even his partner Dokamon or the Speedramon and Psychdramon twins. He's done a real good job with hiding his stress as of late, although he wasn't expecting everyone to be fooled for long. For now though, he just had to keep his head down and put on a convincing smile. No internal dread or anything of the sort.
As Johan poured the milk in, he could hear Dokamon's footsteps get louder and louder. Finally, he's up. Guess he decided to sleep in today. Johan looked down towards his blue robotic partner. "Mornin', Dokamon. Sleep well?"
"I suppose I did," Dokamon said with a nod, "I'm surprised I didn't wake up earlier then."
"Luckily I made breakfast for you. Better eat up, because Sophie's returning today... along with her grandmother. We best not make a bad first impression, right?"
After breakfast, Johan, Dokamon and the twins would get ready and meet Sophie and Lantis in the office. The young teen would walk up to Sophie, holding his hand out for a handshake. "Welcome back, Sophie. It's great to see you two again."
Greetings, Sophie James and Lantis, Psych would "speak" to them both with telepathy, in the most unalarming way possible since the twins and the leader of AEGIS have yet to meet each other. I am known as Psych, and the blue one there is my twin brother Speed. It is a pleasure to meet you both.
"They're... new agents. Tadayoshi approved them since they wanted to join us. I've been looking after them both for a few months now, so I hope that's okay."

"Does my hair look OK?" Of couse Tadayoshi's hair looked OK. It always looked OK. It was hard for it to look anything except OK because with hair that short there weren't a lot of different ways for it to look. What was different about Tadayoshi's always clean appearance was his attire. He tended to reject the standard AEGIS uniform because it just didn't blend in with regular society that well, but today he wore it for the sake of the coming visitor.
"Your hair's fine, dude. Relax." Tadayoshi wasn't sure he could trust the lupine's opinion. He hadn't done anything to alter his appearance, not even bothering to don a darn shirt over his jeans. "You know the James are all cool, even the boss lady."
"I know, but we are under the microscope now. This visit could be a big deal for our future. I've only just been promoted to division leader... I don't wanna mess it up. I have to set an example."
"I think you mean we were promoted to division leaders." Tadayoshi scoffed. As usual, the captain was waiting for Tadayoshi with a stiff salute outside his quarters, sans weapons and in minimal armor - just a vest and boots. Yoshi returned it as routine. The party stopped before Sophie's office before Dakota pointed out, "Hey, chief, you got a little somethin'-" He proceeded to pat down one of Yoshi's shoulders, then the other. Apparently the dust he perceived ran down the uniform's back, too, which the lupine kept trying to sweep away.
"I just washed these."
"Just a bit more!" Dakota ended up brushing off nearly the entire top half of the general before he caught onto the digimon's game.
"OK, OK, knock it off!" he protested with a bit of an involuntary chuckle.
"Loosen up, man. It's fine."
On that note the trio stepped inside, the human knocking a couple times on the door on his way in. "Good morning, everyone. Ma'am, is Colin in yet?"
"Walker," was how Commandramon acknowledged Johan and his party along with a courteous nod and eye contact.
"'Sup, guys?" Dakota, ever the loose one, thought the most appropriate thing to do on entry was to lean on the door frame and casually wave at the room.

Sophie turned around when she heard others enter, and she smiled when she saw Johan and Dokamon. "Thanks, glad to see you here as well." Sophie replied, exchanging the handshake. Quick, but firm grip, like she had been taught.
Both she and Lantis were then startled a little when they heard another voice, but neither of them could determine where. They looked around, confused for a moment, when Sophie remembered that Colin and Tadayoshi had told her that Johan had enlisted the assistance of two Ultimate level mercenaries - Psych and Speed. While in initial appearence they looked like Flamedramon variants, both possessed unique powers. She remembered that Psych's power was telepathy.
"Calm down, Lan, that's Psych talking there." she told her partner.
"Oh, right." Lantis replied, noticing the extra two digimon here. "We've been briefed about you two joining. Welcome! We look forward to working together."
Sophie hoped at least that Psych would not be too intrusive on their thoughts. Partly for her own privacy, but also partly from what he would see if he looked too far into Lantis's mind. The Leomon was quite a... passionate digimon after all.
The next to arrive was Tadayoshi and two of his retinue. Sophie recognized Commandramon, but Dakota was a new one. However, he too was vetted by Colin and Tadayoshi and seemed like he was a nice fit. The way he was described, he sounded a bit like Bellamy, just with the opposite opinion about pants.
"Hey there." Sophie replied. "No, Colin's not in yet. He's been in the digital world, doing some recon about the new city of Rosewood. He'll be here in a little while though, they're resting up in the digital world to take advantage of the time difference." Of course in time for the afternoon inspection.
"So, agents Johan, Tadayoshi, it's been quite a while since we last met." Sophie said, motioning for them and their partners to follow her into her office. Once they were all in, she would welcome them to sit at the conference table in front of her desk. "While we're waiting for Colin, why don't you two fill me in on what's been happening here while Lan and I have been away?" she paused, then thought she might as well ask the same of any non-AEGIS business. "And how you've been in general?" she added, with the intention to tell them what she and Lantis had been doing in the digital world up until now as well.

Johan and Speed giggled a little bit when Psych "spoke" to Sophie and Lantis, causing the two of them to be confused since the voice would technically be in their heads. My apologies, to both of you. It was not my intention to startle you; telepathy is my form of communication, as I am unable to speak normally.
"He startles everyone who he talks to for the first time," Speed added as he held his hands behind his head. "Don't worry, we'll both be super useful to AEGIS! Heck, I could even be your personal delivery 'mon! I don't mind!"
"You do not always need to show off your power, Speed," Dokamon reminded him with a stern look.
"Aw, why not? Running around is fun!"
Eventually Tadayoshi and the rest of his crew showed up. Johan gave a small wave to Commandramon when he greeted the human by name - well, last name, at least. "Hey, Commandramon."
Sophie motioned for the others to follow her as she talked, which Johan, Dokamon and the twins did. Sophie and Lantis would potentially notice that Psych levitated instead of walked. Perhaps he is unable to use his legs as well, potentially? Sophie then asked them to share how they've been doing and what's been going on since she was away.
"Well, I got involved with a situation in the Digital World," Johan said, "The story is too long to sum up into a couple sentences, so I'll have to discuss that for you later. Aside from all that and all the DATS stuff, I'm fine." Of course, Johan was lying about being fine.
"I am functioning normally as well."

Stacy ran down the streets of Shibuya in her spirit form. Aside from strange looks, her fast moving form of HInookamimon drew no panic for she moved as fast as a normal dog. Looking like a puppy helped too. She thought back to the curious email she found in something called the Tamernet and how odd she found that some place called Aegis contacted her. For what reason, she didn't know. Considering the only thing tamer related she knew of involved her last escapade with a twelve year old and her digimon. That didn't stop her from finding out though.
'Just a few more blocks.' she thought as she made a turn. This digimon form gave her more energy and stamina than she had even as a kid. The thirty eight year old woman was enjoying the pure flow of adrenaline as this form didn't seem to tire easy. Rounding the final turn she arrived at the location address she copied on a piece of paper.
Coming to a stop she returned to her human form before adjusting her leather jacket and looked around before spotting an intercom. Stepping over to it she pressed the button and said "Hello, anyone there? I received a message on Tamernet. The name is Stacy Miller."

Justice let out a yawn as he walked through the streets. He didn't get enough sleep yesterday, not because he was nervous this being his first job in Japan, but the fact that it was a Sunday-- a day where he found himself sleeping for most of the day before waking up to do his assignments for class. Though there were perks for waking up early though. For one, he gets to eat breakfast, something that he usually skipped on, and getting a glimpse of the morning commute before the noon hours rolled around to make it all haywire. Typical for a Sunday in Shibuya.
"Alright, let's see if the directions Colin gave me were right." The nineteen year old said, dressed in a grey blazer, black turtle neck tee, grey wool pants, and black dress shoes. He didn't oped to wear his causal clothes since it's not proper business wear, especially since his job interview was at AEGIS. It's always best to make a good, lasting impression after all.
As for his two Digimon, Vee and Gummy, they were in his D-Watch as per Justice's request until it was good to come out.
The events of what happened at the Trailmon Terminal in Terminus was still fresh off his mind, since it hasn't even been twenty four hours yet. It was unfortunate that the Digimon behind that planned attack were all destroyed save for a Black Gatomon. Justice didn't understood why Digimon like them had a deep-seeded hatred for humans. If things were different yesterday, he wanted to try the diplomatic route, wanted to try and convince them that their hatred from humanity was wrong, but it was too late now. What's done is done. But his convictions remained them same.
Arriving at his destination, there it was: AEGIS Headquarters. At the entrance, there was another person waiting outside, an adult woman wearing a leather jacket. She spoke into an intercom. So it was one of those buildings with extra security, huh? Perhaps they didn't want people not with the company to walk in.
Straightening his turtle neck, he approached to the intercom as well, pressing the buttton. "Hi, this is Justice Tibbs. I have an interview with you all scheduled for 9 o'clock." He turned to the older woman with a curious glance. "You're here for the interview as well?" He asked. "Well at least we're in the same boat together."

Upon hearing about Psych's limited abilities of communication, Sophie thought of a means to get around that. "Well, I'd be okay with it completely if ever you want to speak with me through telepathy, could you please ask for my attention first? And Lan's too. If you could do that, I'm sure we can get along just fine."
Sophie then regarded the other dragon digimon, he was apparently very fast. "Hmm. This is all good, already I'm thinking of loads of tactics you two could participate in." she complimented the two of them. Both of them could be incredibly handy with communication, while Speed could go wherever he was needed in minimum time, while Psych could be a key link in communications - both helpful for AEGIS and disruptive for their enemies.
Johan said that he had got into an involvement in the digital world, but it would be too much to speak to her at the moment about it. "Alright. I'd like to hear about it eventually though. But I'll give you the day, we have a lot of important things to get through that can excuse that delay."
As she said that, she was paged by the AEGIS receptionist in charge of monitoring the entrance. Apparently there were several individuals waiting at the entrance in the side alley. Their names were Stacy Miller and Justice Tibbs. Sophie had heard about them beforehand and replied quickly.
"Yes, that's all in order. Please let them in." she said. With that, the door would open for Stacy and Justice, granting them access to a staircase that would lead them up to a somewhat nonchalant budget hotel-looking like lobby, with a receptionist awaiting them. When she matched eyes with them, she bowed politely, then indicated the door they should enter.
As the newcomers entered the main office floor, Sophie and Colin stood up and waved for them to approach. With that, they would speak to Johan and his partners.
"As you're probably aware, we in AEGIS have become a little short of numbers lately." Sophie explained. "So in this situation, over Tamernet, I've come across a spirit wielder that fits our billing fairly well. This is Stacy Miller."
Colin did the same with his invited guests. "Recently I was involved in a very precarious operation that involved the possible bombing of Terminus City station." he said. "This is Justice Tibbs and his partners Vee and Gummy. They were instrumental in preventing-"
"Jesus christ, Colin!" Sophie suddenly shouted, standing up, making the young man flinch. "You... you were involved in stopping a terrorist operation?!" she seemed so horrified by this that Colin had to step back a little from nervousness. "W-what if you were killed in that?! What would I tell mom and dad?!"
"Sophie." Lantis's deep voice startled her. "Please. While Colin might be your little brother, he is highly experienced with field operations. I suggest we move past this for the time being while we get to know our new prospective agents."
Sophie calmed herself down. Yes, that was right. While dangers might have occurred in that incident in Terminus City, Colin and his partners were still alive here. And also, they had recommended some good prospective agents.
"Alright. I won't lie to you people - we're in need of new members to AEGIS." Sophie began. "Basically, we act as gatekeepers and protectors of Tokyo, preventing wild digimon from establishing themselves here to hurt the residents of this city, as well as providing guidance to new tamers that find themselves overwhelmed by the task of looking after digimon that have just recently become their partners. Overall, we're committed to harmony between the human world and the digital world."
She looked at them both, then made a hand gesture. "So then, what's your pitch? Would you commit yourselves to this modus operandi?"

Stacy looked at the nineteen year old and said "Yeah, I'm here for the interview. Though I don't know how anyone heard of me."
When they were buzzed in Stacy was amazed at the sight of the office they were eventually led into. After a young man named Colin got yelled at by what she assumed was his sister judging by her words. She spoke of the mission of Aegis.
"Well I have a protective nature so protecting the innocent is kinda my thing. I have one question though, how have you heard of me? I haven't been a spirit wielder long considering I only have my rookie form and a spirit fragment of my champion form."
Digimon may not of freaked her out that much at first because of all the weird things she grew up watching but this whole thing with Aegis had her confused.

Sophie asked Psych to ask for her attention before speaking to her through telepathy again. Psych did not understand. I am afraid I do not follow. How do you wish for me to "ask for attention", aside from simply speaking the way I am now?
Speed smiled when Sophie mentioned thinking of loads of tactics that the brothers could be in. He was definitely gonna let this go to his head... at least, he would if Psych wasn't there to keep him on track.
Suddenly a couple of voices were heard on the intercom. Sophie allowed them inside, and up came two supposed new members of AEGIS, a grown woman and a teenage male. Sophie explained that AEGIS has been short on members and she found the woman, named Stacy, on Tamernet. Meanwhile, Colin explained that the male, named Justice, had helped him with a terrorist situation in the Digital World. THAT caused Sophie to suddenly lose it, causing Johan to flinch as well.
Sophie's concerns didn't make sense to Johan or any of his crew. Colin was already a member of AEGIS, meaning he was trained for this and it was well-known that a terrorist situation may come up. She should've expected that something like this would happen. Johan said nothing in fear of pissing off Sophie more, but it was lucky that Lantis spoke up and managed to calm Sophie down.
Dokamon observed the potential agents himself. He didn't see anything he disliked with Stacy yet, but there was something about Justice that Dokamon just did not like. Was it a slacker aura coming from him? Dokamon himself didn't know, but there was something that he just hated about Justice. Perhaps he can change Dokamon's mind...?
Johan still made an effort to greet both new agents with dignity and respect. He walked up a step and bowed towards the two of them. "It is a pleasure to meet you. My name is Johan Walker. The blue robotic Digimon here is my partner Dokamon. The blue dragon is Speed, and the purple one is Psych, close acquaintances of me and Dokamon."

Justice gave a nod to the woman, not wanting to add anymore. Though what she said did peep his curiosity: how could she have got this job if she didn't get any recommendations? Perhaps AEGIS has eyes undercover looking for potential recruits? Na. Probably too far-fetched.
The two of them were buzzed in shortly, going up a staircase that lead them into a lobby. Seeing that they were now in a safe zone in which Digimon can go about freely, Justice tapped his D-Watch, signaling to both his Digimon that everything was clear. With that, two beams of light, both orange and blue in color formed in front of him, taking the shape of a Veemon and a Gumdramon respectively.
"Wow, this place's huge. How long did it take for this place to be made?" Vee asked, the Veemon dressed in a white suit jacket with his causal red scarf still comfortably wrapped around his neck. He also wore a white fedora, courtesy from Justice.
"Probably a good while, but it doesn't beat anything in Terminus or Whitewater." Gummy replied, the Gumdramon dressed in a black, long sleeved dress shirt, a red bow tie, and still wearing his trademark goggles on top of his head.
The trio walked into the main office floor, spotting Colin and a black-haired young woman, most likely his sister and the leader of AEGIS. When Colin introduced him and his Digimon, telling that they were involved with him with the situation in Terminus City yesterday night, Sophie snapped, startling Justice, Vee, and Gummy. They did not expect an outburst like that.
But seeing though they were siblings, Justice understood where both of them were coming from. Being the youngest in his family, both his brother and sister were overprotective of him growing up, much to his dismay. Nevertheless he took Colin's side. Younger siblings had to stick together after all.
"I agree with buff Simba over here." He responded. "Besides, he wasn't alone, ma'am. He had my partner Vee here backing him and Luke up when he split up. There were two groups of enemies separate from each other that required equal attention. Had we all stook together, one of them would have detonated the bomb in one of the terminals."
One of the agents introduced himself as Johan, as well as his partner named Dokamon alongside two others named Psych and Speed. Both Vee and Gummy looked at Johan's partner with curiosity. The three of them shared an uncanny resemblance.
"Holy cow, you look like just like us." Vee commented in a friendly manner. "Like if my brother and I got put in a digi blender and your appearance became the end result." He turned to the Gumdramon. "Gummy, doesn't he look like us?"
Gummy snorted. "Nope. Because last time I checked, the tip of my tail wasn't a wrecking ball. Uhh...no offense, dude."
Sophie spoke of the mission of AEGIS, promoting Justice to give his response. "Well I'll be completely honest with you, ma'am, I initially had no plans joining your organization. But after teaming up with your brother last night, you could say it kind of opened my eyes a bit. Knowing that they're Digimon out there with such disdain towards humans, blaming us for everything wrong in their lives. And knowing they would go to such extreme measures, even dying for their cause, it made me realize that I have a voice. It made me realize that I could have convinced our foes to stop what they were doing, without taking lethal action. So to answer your question: yeah. I'll commit to this cause."

As the guests entered, Stacy seemed surprised as to how she was known about. With this, Sophie simply smiled and nodded to someone else in the room.
"That would be due to my actions, ma'am." a new voice said. A canine digimon emerged from a nearby office - covered with black fur, with white on his muzzle, belly, paws and the tip of his tail. He wore a red bandana, showing his form as a BlackGaomon. "My name is Enkidu, I work on the intelligence side of AEGIS on both worlds, and I did what I could to vet you when we found that you received the message on Tamernet."
"Yeah. Sorry if that was intrusive for you." Sophie added. "We're a little tight on schedule today, and we just wanted to make sure that you're the real deal for us, so I asked Enkidu to make some background checks on you. At the very least, you did pass, otherwise we wouldn't have let you in."
"Hi, everyone." Enkidu said to the others in the room. His tail wagged a little to see that the previously depleted force of AEGIS agents was now back to a respectable level.
Sophie then turned to Psych, trying to get her head around the problem. "It's just... most of us aren't really used to communicating the way you do." she attempted to explain. "I mean... if you could say 'excuse me' or make a gentle noise that would let us know that you want to communicate with us, that'd be wonderful." She tried to keep it as gentle as possible. It was fine now that she was paying attention to Psych, just it was always startling when he spoke out of nowhere directly into her consciousness.
Colin shifted guiltily as he realized that yeah, he had done a bit of rule-breaking according to AEGIS protocols. He hadn't yet reported about the events of yesterday when he should have, and so his elder sister's shock and outburst was understandable. Thankfully Lantis and Justice stood up for him and calmed her down for now.
Lantis's ears flicked a little when Justice called him "buff Simba". The Leomon turned and grinned at him, deciding he liked the new recruit already.
When Sophie heard Justice explain the events, she calmed down even further, taking a deep breath. "Colin, I would like to apologize for admonishing you unfairly in front of other agents." she said to her brother.
"It's fine, Sophie, but thank you." Colin replied. It was really no big deal for him, he was used to Sophie fussing over him like that, but, yeah, he supposed if he really was meant to be the sub-leader of the intelligence division of AEGIS, it'd probably be a bad thing if Sophie treated him like a kid brother the whole time.
When Vee and Gummy talked about Dokamon looking like a mix of them, Bellamy glanced between the three. "Hmm... yeah, does kinda look like it." he agreed. Luke nudged him gently to get his attention back to the situation at hand.
They then listened to Justice's words. Colin smiled, glad that his instincts were right in offering him a spot in AEGIS. Luke and Bellamy approved as well. Lantis folded his arms and nodded solemnly, understanding that he too had experienced the threats that faced them.
"Alright, that's great to hear." Sophie answered. "Yes, there's some particularly nasty threats out there. They've been showing up since the start of last year, and they're growing more bold, more dangerous all the time. Officially, we at AEGIS are the secondary line of defense on Earth for such threats, the first line is officially DATS, but, they're still reeling from what happened in Golden Week last year. So while we can't operate without their permission on this world, instead, we're keeping our profile low for the time being. We'll find new tamers and help them discreetly here, while keeping an eye on possible flare-ups in the digital world, as Colin, Justice and their partners have just done yesterday."
With that all done, Sophie looked between Stacy, Justice and his partners.
"Do you have any further questions? If not, we can give you a quick tour of our headquarters." she said. "Also, just so you know, we're expecting a visit from AEGIS's chief financier in a little while. Not to worry, she's the grandmother of me and Colin, so she should be happy with things, but when she arrives, please be on your best behaviour."

Justice had tapped a button on his Digivice as soon as it was clear for Digimon to be out and about, releasing his two partners, Veemon and Gumdramon, both dressed as dapper as Justice was. Johan sweatdropped. I wasn't this well dressed for my initiation... unless you count a Shibuya Academy school uniform as 'well-dressed'.
In response to Stacy's question about how AEGIS even knew of her, Enkidu stepped up and Sophie explained that he had done background checks on Stacy after she received a message on Tamernet about joining. Made sense, since AEGIS was running low on active agents.
Enkidu would then greet the other agents there, Johan responding by walking up to Enkidu and kneeling down, petting Enkidu's head. "Hey there, Enkidu, how have you been?"
Sophie explained to Psych what she had meant, saying that others weren't used to the way he communicates, and suggested making a gentle noise or saying "excuse me" before talking. Hm... I will consider it, in cases where you do not see me approaching beforehand. Please remind me if I happen to forget.
"Buff Simba". The moment Justice said that, Johan and Psych both snickered while Speed just full-on laughed. Even Dokamon couldn't help it and giggled a little bit, though he tried to disguise it as him clearing his throat.
Vee and Gummy got a good look at Dokamon, and Vee claimed that he looked like a fusion of the two of them. Dokamon raised an eyebrow. "I do?" Gumdramon disagreed however, saying the tip of his tail wasn't a wrecking ball. "I do not use any attacks that involve my tail, however. And neither of you have arms even close to mine."
Justice spoke up once more, saying at first he had no interest in joining AEGIS, but after seeing how many Digimon blame humans for everything and how far they were willing to go, he felt like he had to step up and commit to AEGIS' cause. Dokamon smirked; he may not have a desire to befriend Justice, but he respected him a lot more now. Johan, Speed and Psych also respected him more now as well.
Now all that's left to do is the tour, and to wait for the James' grandmother to arrive...

When she saw the BlackGaomon, Enkidu, Stacy had to admit that he was a cute little guy. Judging by the gloves he was wearing she assumed that he most likely was a serious fighter when he needed to be. She watched Johan pet Enkidu but decided not to get that close to his personal space since she had no idea how comfortable he was around strangers 'It still seems strange that this little fella knows anything about me since I haven't been in Japan that long. That and I've only had relatively few trips to the Digital World. Maybe he was around when I helped Kaya solve some robberies in the mall or maybe when I found my Human Spirit fragment.' she thought. Though how any ideas escaped the chaotic storm that was her thought process was anyone's best guess.
Deciding to just go with it she knelt down to Enkidu's eye level and held out her hand offering a handshake. "Hello, Enkidu. Nice to meet you." It was up to him if he accepted her handshake.
When Vee claimed that Dokamon looked like a fusion of him and his brother she looked at them and said "Not exactly a fusion but maybe your species all had a common ancestor. That could explain all your similarities."

Being greeted by a BlackGaomon named Enkidu, one of the agents of the intelligence side of AEGIS, Justice couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. He looked just Owen, except that he had blue fur and an Australian accent. Nevertheless, Justice nodded his head in a polite gesture. "Nice to meet you, Enkidu. The name's Justice. It's a pleasure to start working alongside you."
The young man didn't expect his nickname to Lantis to be that funny, as Johan and the other agents burst into laughter. Good. Everyone was starting to like him already. He loved it when a perfectly timed joke hit the nail. Something told him that the office was going to be comedic cesspool when work wasn't too busy, so it made him happy nonetheless.
With the twins, both Stacy and Dokamon slightly disagreed with Vee's claim, with Dokamon saying that the size of his hands pales in comparison to both his and Gummy's. "Valid points, but can punch as hard with those fists?" He asked Dokamon. "I know we've just met, but do you fancy a sparring match a little later once we've been situated?Just looking at you, I can tell you're uber-strong." He turned to Sophie. "Say, do you guys happen to have a dojo or a training floor here?"
Gummy rolled his eyes. "Geez, what is it with you and wanting to fight the person you just met? I take thrill in fighting too but you don't see me wanting to fight the nearest person."
"That's only because you take things a little too far when it comes to sparring." Vee retorted. Justice nudged him gently to get his attention back into focus.
They then listen to Sophie words. After the attacks on Golden Week, DATS still hasn't recover from the ordeal. Good. Screw those guys. Despite that, they have to keep a low profile, considering they don't have jurisdiction to openly operate. It kind of reminded Justice of Assassin's Creed in a way.
Hearing that the chief finanncier of AEGIS was Sophie and Colin's grandmother, it made Justice's eyes widen. "Your grandmother?" he repeated. "That's kind of cool. It reminds me of family businesses where most of the employees are related to someone in the higher ups."
"Speaking of families...~" Vee mused. "When are you gonna finally tell us about your family, Justice?" His eyes gleamed with excitement
"Ehh. When I actually give a damn about them." Justice half-hearty responded. That dashed the Veemon's curiosity right there.
