"Hey, I wouldn't say no to a check up from a heavy metal demon doctor. That pretty objectively the coolest kind of doctor's appointment I can think of." Zack said, unable to fully settle into the bed he was laying in. The burning ache that had set itself into the bottom of his torso with every heartbeat made it feel like he was laying on a next of fire ants. he tried not to squirm as the pinpricks of hot, itching sweat rolled down his back in glimmering sheets.
"He knows a thing or two about being intimidating when he doesn't meant to be." Marigold said, turning to address the doctors as she gestured to her father, though she also gestured over to the helmet that he wore in his hero persona. "Being in an adrenaline rush and then seeing THAT stepping out of the shadows to save the day. Doesn't really matter how many wisecracks he sprinkles in there some people faint away right on the spot." Marigold said, snickering at all the memories of her cool and quipping father instantly having to catch someone who crumpled in the middle of the street, going from confident to flustered in a heartbeat.
"Observation: When one is engaged in the dark dealings of a place like this, one has just as much to fear from their own clientele, more than law enforcement." Violet said, reaching out with those long silvery tendrils and climbing up into the palm of Dust's hand, wrapping those tendrils up his forearm to his elbow in order to show that they were bolted in tight and that Dust could go as fast as he dared without worrying about losing the little machine along the way. "Gratitude: Yes, I don't see any reason why I wouldn't want to get back to the clinic as quickly as we are able." Violet said, hunkering down in the palm of his hand, the orb shaped machine almost perfectly sized to fit into the mega level's hand like a baseball. Their scanning eye rolled back and forth over the briefcase, confirming and re-confirming they had what they needed before returning.

"Actually that's the main reason he's mostly in charge of taking care of humans, a lot your kind seem to share your mentality on that sorta thing. Though usually if he wants to take care of a digimon he could always go back to his champion form I suppose." He was trying to re-master his Mega form like he had been before, Which was probably something Luna should be doing as well but ahh well.
"Fear mixed with adrenaline and worry can cause something like that yes, Maybe advise they take deep breaths as you step out of the shadows? I think that would work?" Saya didn't know for sure, she was still new to this whole helping humans thing herself.
"There's a certain code of honor among criminals but can't ever be too prepared for someone stabbing ya in the back, dangerous line of work after all." While Dust wasn't too familiar with the full inner workings of the criminal underground his past history dealt with them enough to know he wanted no part of any of it. As Violet attached themselves to him, mentioning not seeing any reason Dust just shrugged for a second. "Figured I'd ask, after all some digimon don't like rushing round at breakneck speeds." With that Dust bent his knees down low before rushing off like a speeding bullet.
Within a few short minutes they were back at the clinic, it took a moment for the wind to catch up blowing a massive gust into Dust's back as he walked through the door. "Alright, that was taken care of. Got what we needed." Dust pulled the kit out of his pocket to show everyone before handing it over to Luna, who was already working to check out the contents before randomly injecting something they just found into an already dying human.

"So MOST humans are overly occupied with something that sounds cool, even when they're laying in the middle of your clinic trying not to die. Yea, that sounds about right. It's these stupid coping mechanisms we have when we're hurt or scared." Zack said, laying back and letting out a sigh. He didn't WANT to die, that much was for sure and this method of doing it sucked. ALOT. So as usual he was trying very, VERY hard not to think about it too much. He took some of Saya's "advice" for himself, taking deep, cool breaths that let his chest rise and tremble back into a gentle fall
"That or some people just pick up whatever they can grab and take a swing. That one's also popular." Marigold said with a chuckle as she remembered all of the times that the victims of the crime Zack had just stopped had hollered and just started swinging at him. Purses, sticks, poles, whatever they happened to be able to grab.
"Greeting: Hello, we are present. We have returned from the retrieval of antivenom." Violet said, wrapped around Dust's hand and arm up to the elbow, the wind shear from the superspeed track from the other side of town leaving scuffs and scratches from where dust and dirt had collided with their body at high speed. "Gratitude: Dust was very effective in his negotiations with the smugglers. We got exactly what we were hoping to find." Violet said, uncoiling their tendrils and padding over toward Luna as she examined the contents, scanning over it. "Attention: This vial contains Flymon venom and it is a near perfect match for the venom that is currently leaking from Zack, save for the medicinal compounds that constitute anti-venom." Violet said, reaching out with one of their long tendrils and "pointing" at the vial they meant, a little glass bottle full of that same sickly purple sludge.

\"Probably why I'm so great at helping humans, I'm very cool." Luna said letting a small ice shard form within her hand, it was an attempt at a lame joke to hopefully ease the tension of the situation as Zack started to follow Saya's advice. Though that part about swinging did worry Luna a bit since human's were some weird, strange mix of both durable and not durable. A clean hit could do nothing or a lot of damage depending on where it hits but now probably wasn't the time to worry about that.
As Dust walked next to Luna as she started to set everything up. "So you were great at 'negotiating'" Luna said with a small smirk as Dust smiled and shrugged for a moment.
"What can I say, I just have a way of getting what I want, sometimes all it takes is just to ask nicely." Dust quickly chuckled for a moment before adding. "Either that or just make everyone think the next wrong move will be their last, pretty sure those guys will think twice before coming round here now that they know I'm around." A Beelzemon living in a city like this was definitely a good sign to not come no matter what.
"Everything's ready, just need to mix it." Saya had all the medical mix ready, all that was left to do was mix it up, thankfully unlike actual venom they didn't need a flymon and antibodies and all that stuff. They just needed an actual purified version of the data.
"Alright, one cure coming right up... You're not afraid of needles right?" Luna asked turning around with one in hand, it was the only way to get it into Zack after all, aside from maybe dumping it in the open wound but that uhh, probably wouldn't work. If Zack was fine with it then Luna would just make the simple injection. If he wasn't then Dust would probably be willing to knock him out real quick.

"I am in...frankly IMPRESSIVE and eye opening amounts of pain right now. Like, amounts of pain that I didn't know were actually possible before now and the record keeps getting set every time I breath or blink or feel my own heartbeat going off. At this point you could stick that needle wherever you felt like and I don't think I would notice. Respectfully, of course." Zack said, trying not to come off as flippant even though he was ABSOLUTLEY being flippant right now. He wasn't QUITE at the point of crying from the pain but he also wasn't that far off. If a little pinprick was what it took to at least START the process that would make his blood feel like something other than battery acid than he was all for it.
"Probably better that you took Violet with you rather than me. They're a logical sort and I'm at the point where my first "introduction" to whoever the shady scumbags were would be ripping down their front wall with my bare hands, step two would be "what's up mother@#$%&*#" and number three would be dealing with the consequences of step one and step two." Marigold said. One of her biggest flaws was her lack of ability to think straight when people she cared about were in harm's way. Knocking heads together would probably have been cathartic at this point but not exactly helpful, especially when the treasure they were after was a small glass vial full of a small amount of important liquid. Throwing things around and knocking over walls isn't usually conducive to keeping such things in one piece, long term.
"Agreement: It was clear that Dust's performance was VERY intimidating. Made the process of negotiation much simpler when the offer was "give us the anti-venom and we will allow you to keep most of your bones."" Violet said, praising Dust as much as they could give the clinical and robotic tone that they were usually stuck in by nature.
"...You need to start warning people when you make jokes because you do it so rarely that it always spikes my blood pressure." Marigold said down at the little machine. She narrowed her eyes, if she didn't know any better she'd swear Violet was looking a little smug somehow.

"I had to ask because last time I helped a human they literally fought tooth and nail to make sure I didn't inject them with something despite being in a lot of pain, you'd be surprised what a fear of needles can do to someone." Luna mentioned as she injected the good stuff into Zack's veins. "Alright, should take just a moment to start working. The vaccine will delete any traces of the poison data still in your bloodstream, you're not going to be on your feet for a while but the immediate danger should be passing relatively soon."
"The human body has a defense mechanism against human virus' but against digital ones there's not much that can be done, I suppose if a digimon could catch a human illness the opposite would be true as well." Saya explained figuring she might as well tell them why it was such an ordeal to handle this.
"Typically healing magic would just cause the systems in a digimon's body to forcefully toss out all the bad data but spells can't exactly tell a human body to do that, no digital signal to receive that sorta thing. Most we can do is heal scrapes and injuries on the surface level. Dust continued figuring if Zack was going to be getting into situations like this, he'd best have all the information he can on how to deal with it.
"I just kicked their door in and told them to leave, seemed to do the trick. Violet was helpful though, wouldn't of known what I was looking for. Though I probably would've just grabbed everything and ran back." That would've been an ordeal and a half to sort through a bunch of stuff. "I've always just been good at that, comes with experience. Though main difference is I can actually back up my intimidating. Heh, I know some who do their best to look tough as nails but when they're face with a real threat they buckle like, well I guess like those black market digimon"

"Oh trust me, I know full well the stupid things humans can be inspired to think and do because they're afraid of a needle." Zack said with a sigh. THAT was a whole other thing that didn't really need to get dumped onto the digimon around him and he shook it off. There would be time to worry about current events later-...and on that note he'd been thinking too hard to notice the pinch of the injection. "So just give me the...oh...see, that's my experience with most injections. I start talking, I'm not looking, and I totally miss the event in itself." He said, having to resist the urge to shrug given the position he was in. He didn't want to try and move his arm too much while the vaccine was doing its work.
"Aww, that's alright. You were really a brave little guy." Marigold said, patting her father's head like a pediatrician speaking to a young child who had just gotten their first flu shot. Zack turned his head to glare at her with the edges of a smile on his lips.
"You know I can still ground you young lady-...oh my GOD that IS the good stuff!" He said as the purple tint to the veins around his chest and the scar along his lower body began to fizzle away like digital steam, turning into glittering fractals of code that floated upward before vanishing completely. His scar wasn't gone, it wasn't even any smaller but it had been turned into a much more normal and healthy color. It would take a little time to heal from being opened to the poison and he'd have to go back to wearing a wrapping around it at the very least for a little while. but he wasn't dead.
"You know, on second thought we probably should have started asking questions when we realized the scar was still purple several weeks after the fact." Marigold said with a "we might be stupid" tone directed at her father who rolled her eyes but was unable to really disagree with her on that point.

"I've never understood the issue, it's just one tiny prick and done, all your woes gone." Then again she was used to being actually impaled on stuff before and stabbed through the arm so she was definitely not going to be afraid of something small like a needle unless she knew it had poison, which normally it had the actual opposite of poison in it. "Yeah see, totally missed it. Though that might just be your nerves choosing not to react to anything in order to keep you from going into shock." He was suffering from poison after all, the body does tend to shut down against stuff like that to defend itself.
"Just the bravest, you'll even get some free candy once this is all done." Dust said with a small smirk, though if Zack thought he was just joking the Mastemon behind him holding a bag of sweets would show that no he wasn't at all. "It's one of Luna's things, everyone gets candy after a visit cause she's, and I quote. 'not a dentist so it's fine.'" Anyone who looked at Luna as he said that would just see her usual smile and a thumbs up
And just like that the digital poison started to vanish, almost exactly as it tended to do when she cast healing magic. "And there we go, should be all better now, well not the actual wound itself that'll take some time to heal but better that then the alternative." Luna said as she and Saya already started to prepare and wrap some fresh bandages and gauze.
"Yes you definitely should've, next time you get hit by something you think might be poisonous I hope we're the first ones you come to. Any later and things might've not turned out this well." While her words did sound a bit scary to think about Luna's voice simply had worry behind it. "I do want to keep you here for a bit longer to make sure it takes full effect, curing digital ailments for humans is still a new concept and I want to make sure you won't just fall down the moment you step out the door." That and he was probably in no condition to walk considering his body just spent like almost an hour fighting off a deadly toxin that was about to kill him, you know human weakness and all that.

"Eh, the less said about the issue in the human world right now the better." Zack said, sighing as he laid backward in the bed. People would find a way to be idiots in any context given to them, so he just let the injection do its work. "You know what's wonderful about Digital World medicine? That you get the pinprick and you just start feeling better instantaneously rather than basically laying around as the medicine chases down whatever issue is in your body. Now the only thing I'm waiting on is all my squishy bits to reboot." Zack said as he watched the poison that had been haunting his body literally just fly away in a sea of sparkling glitter.
"The scar's almost certainly not going anywhere. if it was in any position to fully heal then simmering on that poison for the last couple months probably didn't help matters very much. But hey, what's one scar between friends?" Marigold said as she observed the spiny "tendrils" of the scar reaching out along the bottom right corner of his stomach.
"Eh, it looks cool so who cares." Zack said, rubbing over his eyes with the back of his arm before looking up at the candy and frowning, looking over at Marigold who was snickering deeply at the candy bag. "...give me the frigging candy." Zack said, holding out his hand and slipping a candy free of the bag, unwrapping the crinkly plastic packaging and slipping it into his cheek.
"Considering the alternative was literal death, yea I don't think that a couple days in bed is the worst medicine available." Marigold said as she looked over at her father. Humans were indeed plenty squishy in all the ways Digimon weren't.
"Observation: While you almost certainly will be "the first ones we come to" the next time Zack gets himself injured. it is quite odd that we did not even appear here for the sake of this wound in the first place." Violet rightly observes, Marigold snickering in response.
"I suppose it speaks to his habits that he can just be totally running another errand and totally almost drop dead because of an injury he received from fighting something bigger than him." Marigold said, the entire situation becoming funnier as the state of abject panic that she felt upon his original infliction with the poisoned sickness fading into what was just another adventure in their lives as would-be superheroes.
"Really feeling the love in this room, you know. it's energizing." Zack said with a blank faced sarcasm, looking up at his pair of wards, only making Marigold laugh harder at the blank expression on his face.

Luna simply shrugged at his mention of human world issues, if she was honest she didn't know too much about that world even though she had visited it a few times. Though for the medicine thing she could make note of. "Mhm, since it's basically deleting the poison from your system it should work much faster than your body having to do it naturally. Though sadly I can't do anything for the scar aside from a basic covering. " Luna could heal small cuts and wounds and make them close but with a scar that big there was no real chance she was going to be able to do that even with her strongest spell.
"Should view it as a reminder of what happens when you go up against something poisonous like that." Dust may of not had any scars of his own, unless you count emotional ones then he had a shit ton of those, but to him that's what one should represent. Though that didn't matter too much as he handed Zack the thing of candy.
"Yeah, no one dies while I'm around, not if I can do something about it." Which as Luna had just shown there was a lot she could do about it. "I will need to get some more poison samples though if something like this happens again." She didn't expect it to happen often but even still never hurts to be prepared.
"Should just look at it as a lucky break, who knows maybe his body decided if anywhere was a good place to crash it was the clinic, the human body does work in really weird ways, well weird compared to what us digimon think is normal." Is that how the body worked? Dust didn't know for sure but hey, don't look a gift horse in the mouth as they say.

"Ehhh...yes and no." He said to Dust, shrugging as much as he was able. While he wasn't openly in pain anymore it had been replaced with a deep, bone chilling exhaustion that made every motion a chore. Like his limbs were made of rock and he was just tugging along the extra weight. "Like, I'll come to you guys if I come up against something like this again, for sure. But I'm never gonna "learn" to stand down when there's someone bigger than me that needs a reminder of what they can't get away with." Zack said, describing his heroic complex as if it were a chronic medical issue, something he had learned to live with and would not be in the habit of making apologies for.
"It's a shame you don't seem to charge for your services. You'd make a killing from him as a repeat customer." Marigold said, shrugging along with her father. Even though it worried her deeply the way that her father acted most of the time she also would never ask him to change who he was for the sake of not ending up in these situations. She knew it'd at best make him anxious and miserable to even try and avoid stepping into fights that had nothing to do with him.
"Observation: It is fortunate that this clinic does not seem to turn away patients based on fault then. Considering every injury Zack has ever had has come from inserting himself intentionally into a dangerous situation." Violet said, perfectly recalling all of the stories she had been told up to this point from basically every point in Zack's life.
Zack simply held up one of his arms as high as he could get it considering the pain in his chest had been replaced with a leaden exhaustion, sticking out a thumbs up in agreement with Violet before letting his arm flop back to the bed beside him.
