“Mmmm mmm…hmmm hmmm……this digital world is a rather delightfully curious place.” A gentle and lively smile decorated Aiko’s face as she stepped off from the trailmon, casually turning on her heels to wave at the train. Waving at a train, a typically inanimate object lacking sentience, may have struck another as an odd gesture but this was the digiworld after all and it was a known fact that the trains were just as alive as anybody else here. A very odd but amusingly quaint fact of reality. The Digiworld really was an entirely different place….
“...Although I do have to wonder why they even run services to Tokyo to begin with….” To one as curious and as determined to explore all the cultural nuances of the Digiworld as Aiko, it was very much a matter of great interest. Just how had the digital world ended up connecting to the human world? Was it accidental? Was it by design? And then, irregardless of which, had the digital world’s denizens actively sought to provide a train connection to Tokyo? That in turn only made Aiko wonder who managed such a service.
But ahhh. As much as she wished to simply sit down and chat with the Trailmon that had brought her to the digiworld, Aiko knew it would be rather poor manners to keep them from their work. Did they receive payment or compensation for their services? They must have, right? Oh but she was getting distracted again. She wheeled her suitcase away from the train, dressed in a casual garb of a T-shirt and jeans, brought together by a simple pair of sneakers.
She strolled through the station’s terminal, out into the city proper and simply took in the sights of this metropolitan titan of a city. Aiko would almost believe it was simply another Tokyo for a few details: the Digimon walking around and that distant wall surrounding the city. Now that…that was interesting. Aiko would very much need to find out about that but first?...First she wished to find a hotel, or some other form of accommodation. It was not a vacation if you lacked a place to stay, no? Yet, to anybody that doth observed Aiko, she would very much seem like a deer in the headlights, lost and unaware of just where she was.

Mandrake with Circe clutching one of his hands with his staff in his other hand were walking around Terminus not far from the Trailmon station. Lothar had walked off to get something for Circe to eat since the little one had telepathically said to Mandrake that she was hungry. She was slowly warming up to Lothar but not talking to him out loud most of the time.
After awhile the Leomon made his way back to Mandrake and Circe with a large soft pretzel in his hands before handing it to Circe and the child quietly accepted it and began eating. She was a lot like Mandrake in many ways despite being anxious and timid including having Mandrake's small appetite. Hard to believe she looked so malnourished when they first found her but now she looked so healty despite still not coming out of her shell very often.
Smiling at the small child Lothar said "It's amazing how far she has come in such a short time. I just wish she would fully warm up to me like she has to you, Mandrake."
"She will in time, old friend. She knows that we are her parents. Maybe soon she'll be ready to meet her brothers and sister." Mandrake said looking down at the small humaniod digimon that looked like a five year old girl with the same shade of chestnut blonde as Mandrake and smiled at how content she seemed. Most digimon in Terminus had left the family alone so her anxiety had not been that bad today but she never wandered far from the security her parents offered her though was usually practically attached to Mandrake when they were walking about.

It had been a hot minute since Clayton had been back to the digital world, he checked all the gear he kept on his person, digivice, Ev Suit grapple gun and his kendo sword. Though the Kendo sword wasn't really anything too good against stuff in the digital world he just felt a lot safer having it on hand. With that his Digi-port was fully charged so grabbing his stuff off his bed Clayton pointing to digital portal towards the door as he threw his hoodie on, thankfully his parents weren't home... Ever, so it was the perfect time to do some exploring.
Jumping through the portal Clayton immediately found himself in Terminus, however one thing he had failed to realize is he was in Terminus a few feet off the ground, 4 to be exact. Plummeting right towards the ground chest first. "Aghh, dangit. Really gotta work on that landing. Swear this thing is busted." However Clayton managed to quickly throw himself back to standing with a quick leap checking to make sure all his stuff was alright.
However something he noticed while checking was a woman standing right next to him, Aiko to be exact, to her it would appear as if he had simply fallen out of the sky itself right in front of her. Dusting himself off Clayton let out a small nervous laugh before giving a small polite bow. "Err, Sorry about that. I didn't hit you or anything did I? I'm not to good at using this whole portal thing yet." Hopefully he didn't since he was carrying a lot of stuff on him.
Though as he brought his head up from his bow, he was a bit surprised to see she was a bit taller than him, that usually didn't happen often. "My name is Clayton, but most people just call me Clay. Sorry to fall in front of you like that." Hopefully things worked out all right.

A quiet musing of 'one-two, one-two' was heard only by the one saying it, a light-green Agumon who had been dutifully walking aside the one he called his master. Well, not -verbally,- she stated that she found the term very much uncomfortable...But still, he viewed her in the same protective role as a guardian.
Yet, the author didn't really extrapolate on who 'her' was. Huh. Sumire was reluctant to return to this place after she had quite literally gotten there via escaping a narrow brush with death by truck. Didn't want to worry more people by getting another missing person's notice on her, and she didn't want to miss more schoolwork than she already had (it was just a few days' worth,) yet...
Here she was. "...Huh, the species sure is...varied." Sumire noted, adjusting her hat as she glanced around. Weird imps, weird furries, spider kids, extraordinarily tall women, Clayton...Wait, was that-
Sumi -winced- as she watched her classmate--who she had NOT KNOWN was able to come here, FELL OUT OF A PORTAL and right next to the tall woman! "Jingo, one moment." "Hm?" The Agumon asked as Sumire ran over to Clayton and Aiko, "So sorry to intrude, but WHAT was that landing? Are you alright? No bruises, either of you? What even was that, how can you make PORTALS?"
"Ah...Do you not think that's a lot of questions to unload on strangers...?" Jingo asked as he caught up, the Agumon keeping a very respectful distance.

Of all the things Aiko’s imagination thought she would encounter here, a young man falling from the sky and landing face first in front of her was not one of them. She blinked for a few seconds, fully intending to assist once the initial surprise wore off but it became apparent such a thing was simply not needed. The young man aided himself, leaping back to his feet, his short black hair bouncing about yet it was the kendo sword that attracted Aiko’s interest. Hmm…curious. As one who did archery herself, or had anyway, it was rather nice to see other people carrying on the tradition of martial arts.
“No n. I am perfectly fine young man.” She reached a hand towards Clayton, patting the slightly shorter man on the head. It was a little condescending and maybe more than a little insulting but hey, he was the child and she was the adult right? Physical gestures of supportive reassurance were pretty normal, or so Aiko felt. Regardless of Clayton’s reaction, the private eye would eventually withdraw her hand, smiling down at the kendo practitioner with a gentle expression. Ah introductions, of a sort, had already occurred and so it seemed only natural to inquire with this kendo practitioner if there were indeed any local hotels.
Yet, before Aiko could utter her simple question, a second person ran up. Aiko’s gaze snapped away from Clayton, her gentle smile turning away from the young man to focus upon the green Agumon and their human friend. Yeah it was not a surprise this little display of Clayton’s had attracted other attention, especially that of a Digimon’s. They were the main residents of this world after all.
“Is this dinosaur with you? Or are you with them?... Hmm….” That was a good question. The nature of relationships between humans and Digimon…it was a matter Aiko had zero real exposure to. So far she had been assuming it was either a case by case thing or just a relationship of mutual agreement? Yes, that did make sense. A lot of sense really.
“Ah do not worry. I am perfectly fine, this young man seems to be fine as well. Now…would any of you know where I could find a hotel? I’m on a vacation of sorts.” Aiko’s smile was utterly undeterred by the talkative and chatty digimon that had just inserted themselves into the conversation.

Things definitely got interesting as a mental signature appearing suddenly caused Mandrake to snap his head in the direction of the Trailmon station not only spotting a tall woman but a young man fall out of the sky through use of a Digi Port. Was he just bad at programming it? Then an young woman and a light green Agumon came into sight not that Mandrake was to judge the Agumon based on color scheme seeing as his and Lothar's eldest began life sharing a color scheme more akin to his and Mandrake wouldn't likely be surprised if he and Lothar had other children with this trait as well.
Curiousity driving him he began walking forward to greet the interesting group with Lothar silently following but Circe seemed hesitant but still followed him while holding his hand. It seemed the young man was fine so as he and his family approached he said "Hello there. I noticed the earlier issue with the Digi Port." At the moment the Wizardmon hadn't noticed Circe had let go of his hand and seemed frozen in place sapphire eyes wide with fear at the sight of the adult woman.
Lothar glanced over at Circe noticing the state the small child was in and was puzzled. Sure she was timid of strangers but this seemed different somehow as he had never seen this kind of reaction in her before. "Circe, are you alright?" Lothar asked causing Mandrake to glance at their daughter as she began shaking.
"N-No...Please don't hurt me. Please don't hurt me." Circe said before dropping to the ground and curling up defensively the shaking not ceasing but tears were now pouring down her face. Mandrake and Lothar now looked lost on what to do as they looked between Circe and the group assembled.

Clay got a pat on his head, for a moment he didn't respond but seemed a bit lost in his own head for a little bit. "Heh, well glad to hear it. Last thing I want to do is fall on someone round here." shaking off whatever that was Clay really hoped she didn't notice that so he wouldn't have to explain.
"Hmm?" Clayton looked over when someone mentioned they were sorry to intrude, only to be met with someone he really didn't expect to see here. "Oh, Sumire?" That was definitely not something he was expecting, nor was he expecting the bombardment of questions soon after. "Yeah I'm fine, just knocked the wind outta me honest, didn't see it coming myself." As for how he made said Portals Clayton held his D-tector up slightly. "A digimon over in Terminus installed some sort of portal thing, apparently it can create a portal from this world to our world. Though I haven't gotten the hang of it as you just saw." tossing his digivice back in his pocket for a moment he went back to the original train of thought. "Wait, Sumire! You know about this place too?" He was really caught up in that moment, didn't even recognize the oddness of one of his classmates being around here.
There was also a digimon, green and a dinosaur. Pretty neat Clay hadn't seen one like that before. "Heya." Clayton said with a smile and a wave to the digimon, seemed like the nice thing to do. Eventually some more digimon came over thanks to Clay's whole digiport thing. "Ahh, you saw that. Yeah a bit embarrassing if I'm honest heh." A lot of digimon probably saw him fall, which was definitely not good for whatever image he might have.
"Vacation? I think there's a few places near the wall like that. Oh I got a friend here I can ask h-" Wait, crying child. What was that about? Oh the digimon that just arrived was asking something about not being hurt. "Huh, uhh. Hey, No one's gonna hurt you. Well at least not with probably like 20 digimon jumping in and stopping them." Was she scared of the lady or him? They were tall but definitely not that tall right?

That quick show of concern from Sumire was quickly proven unnecessary by the simple miracle of nobody having been hurt by whatever the heck that was. Awful lot of attention being drawn though, which got both Sumire -and- Jingo on edge. The latter in particular almost locked up for a few moments.
"A -portal- as some sort of addon for this thing...?" Sumire repeated incredulously towards Clayton, before she peered to Aiko. "Dino's with me, his name's Jingo." "Hi." "And to answer that question..." While another Digimon had a crisis over...something. Insensitive as it was, there was no way Sumire or Jingo could really tell what...was going on outside of a weeeeird reaction.
"I don't know any places like that--this is only my second time here. First time was after I nearly got hit by a truck. And yeah, of course I do!" How was anyone supposed to know that? Shut up. "...Small world, though."
Jingo, meanwhile, tilted his head at Circe. "Why would I hurt someone who's done nothing? Perplexing. Strange, it is. Console your child, please."

This was all very chaotic. So many people, so many digimom. It was, admittedly, a little bit difficult for Aiko to keep track of every conversation at once but she was still managing it. However, the one thing she focused on was how that small child began to bawl their eyes out, curling up into a ball on the ground. That was…sudden and unexpected, confusing even. Aiko simply smiled at them gently before bending down, gently reaching a hand towards them. She would softly rub Circe’s head, seeking nothing more than to hopefully soothe and relax them.
“There there little one. Everything will be okay.” Aiko’s tone was smooth, soft and gentle, a soothing tone intended to calm Circe and help them relax from whatever it was had terrified them so. It was rather sudden how the little Digimon had so sharply began to burst into tears but, if their size was any indicator, they were only a child. It was pretty common for children to burst into tears at the slightest thing but that didn’t exactly stop Aiko from wondering what the cause was. The detective eventually pulled her hand away from Circe, returning to her full height with a soft smile.
Now that the child situation was hopefully sorted out and wrapped up, the detective was free to consider the answers to her question. It was unfortunate that nobody here actually had a clue about if there was a hotel nearby. That was a problem. Aiko had very much been hoping that there was a local who knew about such things but alas, there was not; at least not among this group.
“Well that is a tragedy.” Aiko could only sigh to herself, a little bit disappointed regarding the lack of an answer. Although, a realisation did strike her. Sure, nobody here knew about a place to find room and board but perhaps they would know about something else.
“Hm…then tell me, you wouldn’t perhaps know where to find some sort of information centre would you?” Aiko may have been a little bit off in applying an understanding of the human world to the digital world, especially when it came to concepts of tourism, but who could blame her? She was not a digimon and very much lacked an exposure to the digiworld's normalities. It was something she very much wished to rectify though.

Well this was interesting indeed as it appeared that Clayton recognized the other human who called herself Sumire. Small world indeed. "As for myself, I am Mandrake and with me is my fiancé Lothar and our youngest daughter, Circe."
Speaking of Circe when after Sumire introduced her partner as Jingo the green colored Agumon, not that Mandrake or Lothar were surprised as sometimes new variants of the same species tended to pop up from time to time or even unique color schemes that still were classified as the same species, mentioned that he should consol his child. Before he could make his way to the terrified rookie the tall human woman who had knelt down to softly rub Circe's head and speak to her in a calming tone which had the opposite effect as her soft sobs became an audible whimper as she flinched away. "Strange. Neither I or Lothar have seen her behave that way despite being anxious and timid." Mandrake said and when Aiko moved away he knelt down bringing his fingers to his temples and closed his eyes. Lothar knew he was telepathically reaching out to Circe as the child also had telepathic abilities as well.
After awhile Mandrake frowned but was able to calm Circe and waved Lothar over as he said "Lothar, would you mind holding her for a bit since she is almost as big as I am. It's okay she told me it was fine."
Believing Mandrake the tall lion man knelt down gently picking up Circe gently holding her to him as he backed a bit away from the group gently rubbing the stubby spider legs hidden under her cape. Mandrake rose to his feet and then looked at Aiko before he said "Miss it would seem you were inadvertantly the cause of Circe's issue. Apparently ever since her mother beat and abandoned her in the woods she seems to be afraid of all adult women. This is something that is much more difficult for me to handle then the separation anxiety one of my other children had when I adopted him."
"As for either a hotel or information center, I'm sure we can find one by looking around. I have been to Whitewater far more often than Terminus unfortunately." Mandrake said.

"Yeah, there's a mall that sells them. Apparently, you get money from just like, existing around here. Or maybe it was because of those fights? Admittedly I'm still now too sure how stuff works around here." Clayton let out a slightly awkward laugh as he scratched his head slightly, it was definitely a weird place if he was honest.
Then came the two digimon, attention Clayton didn't expect but he waved all the same. "In case you didn't hear, Clayton. Nice to meet you." Then Clayton heard that pat about almost getting hit by a truck. "Wait you did? You're ok ri-" Clayton stopped himself before realizing what he was just about to ask. "Wait yeah, dumb question you're standing right in front of me. It is indeed a small world, even here I suppose." It was nice to see someone you did at least sorta know though.
Then Mandrake just kinda dropped a bombshell on all of them, Clayton stood there for a moment before saying anything. "Uhh, wow. Definitely didn't expect that sorta thing to be the reaction." Afraid of all adult women, that was a lot darker than Clayton was expecting this conversation to go, maybe he should try and change the subject.
By remembering what he was going to say before he was interrupted by the kid screaming. "Oh right, I almost forgot I have a friend who lives around here. Her names Zu, we usually meet up around here, she'd probably be happy to help. I should get her help on it too, can't have her leading me around all the time." Hopefully that would help out at least a bit.
