A Salaryman in the Digital World [Open]

Stacy was walking down the streets of Terminus with a coffee in her hand. Other than Shibuya the woman rarely found herself in big cities so she seemed a bit out of place despite carrying herself with confidents as she walked. Ever since things with the Grandmaster were settled and Speed and Psych were reunited she had stopped dying the tips of her hair purple going back to having the tips of her really short pixie cut be blue. Her leather jacket still had belts stitched into it similar to the ones a Flamedramon wears and had a purple V stitched to the belts. She was thinking of keeping that look for the most part but making some slight changes.

She glanced down briefly at her AEGIS uniform as if checking if something had fallen on it while she was eating. Nope despite her clumsiness it was all clear of food. If a human noticed the lean petite woman who likely barely weighed 130 pounds soaking wet there was an almost unnoticeable waddle the spirit wielder walked with and though she was forty one she didn't look a day over twenty five.

Then Stacy heard voices spotting a man with a pair of digimon. He looked a bit younger than her but what did she know? For all she knew he could be older than her and just not look it. She overheard the group and it seemed they were new to the Digital World. She remembered what that was like a few years ago and planned her words as carefully as she could before she said "Hello there. I wasn't trying to listen in on your conversation but I overheard that this seems to be your first trip to the Digital World."

The man asked if she was a tamer and Stacy shook her head before she answered "No I don't have a digimon with me in the traditional sense as a tamer like yourself would." She then lifted her right arm where she was wearing a digivice cradle showing her digivice and how it was different from Ryosuke's. She then lowered her arm before she said "I am a Spirit Wielder which is a human that digivolves using the spirit of a dead digimon. In my case the spirit I draw strength from is quite ancient and almost totally forgotten."

Then the Agumon with the man made a move to get close to Stacy his intention to sniff her clear and the Agumon, named Taiyo it seems, was reprimanded by his tamer. "Don't worry. The little guy didn't do any harm. I get he is trying to take in as many new scents as he can which I can relate as I have enjoyed my evolutions excellent sense of smell. However some people aren't comfortable with just being randomly approached so I have learned to memorize scents at a polite distance rarely getting more than a few feet away. My guess is he is fascinated by the cherry blossom smell I give off." Stacy said smiling at the clearly young Agumon before taking in the other digimon species that she'd seen in passing but didn't know what it was called. Curiosity peaked she shifted her coffee to her right hand before removing her D-Tector from the digivice cradle before pointing it at the armor wearing digimon scanning it before she said "Says here the other little one is called Kotemon. They are both adorable little reptile digimon."

 

"Or if there is any trace of knowledge it sometimes has a tendency to get flung to the wayside." Stacy said with a hearty chuckle of her own before she then said "Believe me with the concept of digivolution alone the concept of logic can be wobbly at best. The branching digivolution line of my rookie is a prime example of this." Stacy thought of her rookie stage of Hinookamimon and the three lines being a holy wolf, a fishing cat, and a demon spider monkey with cybernetic traits.

Ken responded with a nod of agreement and his shinai raised in approval and his approval was confirmed by Ryosuke which made Stacy smile as she said "I can understand and approve of being one of the honorable types of warriors. I try my best to be honorable myself even if one of my lines have a higher proclivity for mischievous impulses."

"Yes looks can be very deceiving which is no more true especially with digimon. Some small and cute looking digimon can be more powerful than they appear at first glance." 

"Amicable divorces are far and few in between. A shame that many people stay together even though it is not working out which often results in messy divorces. At least you and your ex realized it wasn't going to work and you were better off as friends. I'm sure in time your son will realize you and your ex made the right decision to divorce in time." Stacy said before she continued "Ignoring parents is normal for children especially if they don't agree with their parents decisions. In time his frustrations will come out and while it might make him sound like a jerk he will feel much better when he stops trapping his frustrations in."

"No I don't know your digivolved forms Taiyo. Digivolution tends to be quite surprising though so you might become almost anything." Stacy said her currently only mega form coming to mind. Her holy line had the form of an armor wearing anthropomorphic wolf with angel wings wielding a sword. Considering her previous forms this was something she didn't see coming in a million years. "Ryosuke is right, Taiyo. When it comes to digivolution the surprise tends to be half the fun even though the wait can be hard sometimes." Stacy said.

Stacy noticed that Ken was silently snickering at the mention of the word mischievous as he looked at Taiyo. Catching on Stacy snickered before she asked "I guess young Taiyo is mischievous, eh Ken?"

At Ryosuke's mention of money Stacy said "Focusing on your son is good but when you visit the Digital World you can take some jobs so you can save up money little by little to buy what you need for your digivice. As for your son I have a feeling if you continue to respect his space while being there for him when he needs you he shouldn't be mad at you for long. Unless he is stubborn that is."

Stacy snorted with laughter after Ryosuke mentioned Taiyo's sometimes headache induced issue regarding food and being lucky not to be exposed to the public. Then she said "You know, I've heard that holosuits aren't very expensive and could help the little ones when in the Human World so they can go to places like restaurants with you. The tricky part might be deciding on their appearance while disguised. As for me my rookie can pass for a young white dog even though I digivolve into a small white wolf. Heck I have went around Shibuya in my rookie form without freaking people out due to looking like something cute and cuddly. Not to mention resembling something one would find in the Human World probably doesn't hurt either."

At the mention of saving to purchase a vehicle, Stacy smiled and said "Depending on the size of the vehicle you need saving up for it might not take long. For example I have a small vehicle in the form of a motorcycle and I bought a side car so I can transport a second person as well. What kind of vehicle do you have in mind?"

"At least when your son, Ryu was it, is ready to open up he'll have Taiyo and Ken to also spend time with so you aren't alone in wanting to be with your son. Seems your partners want to be friends. Maybe your son might have something in common with either you or your partners. You know like shared interests perhaps?"

When Taiyo's stomach rumbled Stacy looked around with a start before looking at the Agumon with a chuckle as she said "Wow. I thought for a moment that roar was coming from me. With my shockingly fast metabolism I wouldn't of been surprised." Then a formidable sounding gurgle came from the middle aged woman causing her to laugh before she said "Speak of the devil it seems I'm hungry too." Looking at Ryosuke she nodded and said "Terminue City is a big place so there are bound to be lots of places to eat. I know there were a couple places within eyesight of where I got my coffee."
