It was last night that Ciel had woken up with a start, sitting up fully on her bed... Wasn't something that happened because she keeps falling asleep in other places, this time it was on her couch sitting upwards in a cold sweat as she remembered, Alpha and Beta didn't know how to swim. it was a pretty bad nightmare too, dreaming that they were in a fight, dragged there by Myotismon and just all of the sudden Beta and Alpha were both dropped in the water and couldn't get out, sinking right to the bottom. Neither of them being able to get to the surface at all, the thought terrified her down to her core.
With that horrible thought in her head it lead the Sistermon to taking the twins out to a small open beach close to the Binary Archipelago, neither twin really knew WHY they were coming here but hey, a day out with their mom wasn't ever anything too bad. "Oh woooooow, I've never seen so much water around, oh and all those weird solid but not solid rocks!" Beta shouted as she ran ahead of the group, followed by Alpha quickly after.
"H-Hey, Beta! Don't run ahead!" Alpha called out as the Hackmon chased his Sister.
Ciel let out a small laugh as she started walking towards the beach herself, there didn't seem to be too many digimon out an about at this time, it was just the start of summer in the human world so she imagined it'd be a few more days before this place got too packed, which was perfect for what she wanted to do.
She didn't have any of her normal gear on her person at the moment, save for her sword which hung loosely at her side, her hat was even missing as well letting her hair down fully. Both the twins still had their cloaks on but neither of them were wearing their hoods.
Setting up an umbrella and blanket on the sand Ciel stretched and prepared for what she was gonna do, show these two how to actually swim. They were already pretty close to the water ut, Alpha and Beta both seemed to watch it a bit nervously, which Ciel couldn't help but laugh slightly at considering these two had faced down actual opponents before but water has them worried.
She even wrote on the Tamernet what she was doing, even offering to teach anyone else, who knows if someone saw that message though. It was mostly a gambit to get the twins to meet more digimon or humans their age so if it worked or not wouldn't be so bad.

Mandrake, Lothar, and Circe made their way to the beach. As usual Circe was clutching Mandrake's hand as they made their way with Lothar walking alongside Mandrake on his opposite side. Mandrake and Lothar had learned of swimming lessons on Tamernet and since they hadn't yet begun teaching their young spiderling how to swim they figured no time like the present. As the family made their way onto the beach it was clear it was not crowded which made things easier on Circe who was timid around strangers. When she had to deal with strangers she always did better when it didn't involve crowds.
Lothar nodded to Mandrake and brought out an Infini-Store before pulling out a beach blanket and umbrella. There was also a cooler yet to be set up but Lothar was getting to that. The couple had borrowed the beach gear from Mandrake's Jijimon father Theron shortly after learning of the swimming lessons. As he was setting them up Mandrake used his telekinesis to lift a Mini Diving kit from within it before placing it on Circe. "There you go little one. Just in case you struggle with learning how to swim you won't drown while wearing this."
"Thank you, dad." Circe said. When speaking with Mandrake and Lothar she didn't tend to stutter but when talking to anyone else a mild stutter would flare up.
Then picking up three minds Mandrake and Circe turned to see a Sistermon with two excited looking young Hackmon. It was possible this Sistermon was the one who sent the message on Tamernet and it was possible the two youngsters were also in her care as he heard one of the Hackmon yell about not running ahead. Smiling Mandrake remembered being that young once and as he looked at Circe the little one had dove behind him hiding while clutching his cape in a death grip while snuggling into his back. Mandrake softly sighed knowing of Circe's fear of adult females. Even though it wasn't as bad as it was when he and Lothar found her it was still almost crippling for the young shockingly human looking rookie.
Mandrake and Lothar, whom had finished setting up as there was now a small cooler near the blanket, decided to go and greet the trio. Mandrake and Lothar with Circe still clinging to Mandrake approached the Sistermon and pair of Hackmon before Mandrake said "Hello there. Would you be the one planning on offering swimming lessons and would you happen to named Ciel? If so I am Mandrake and with me is my husband Lothar. Hiding behind me is our youngest child Circe." At the sound of her name the young spiderling cautiously poked her head out from behind Mandrake her eyes sapphire blue like Mandrake's staring at Ciel with a mix of wariness and curiosity.

"What are we doing? Where are we going?" Ollie said, having asked the question slightly rephrased about eight hundred times since they had left the human world earlier that morning. Procopius had long since become used to the idea of answering endless questions from his tamer so he very calmly repeated himself, carrying a small bundle of supplies in a canvas shopping bag that he wouldn't let Ollie see into quite yet.
"I was checking the Tamer Net last night and saw that someone was teaching a class out here today for free. I figured you wouldn't want to miss it when someone was being so kind as to educate others." Procopius said, experienced in settling any of Ollie's worries or concerns with the thing that made him happy: The idea of learning.
"A free seminar on the beach? Oh how intriguing. Perhaps on the local oceanography? Or a tour of the fishing economy, I'd love to see on the inside of a Digimon fishing boat. It's one of the foundational professions of any post agricultural society after all." He said, now bouncing from one foot to the other much more eagerly, which made Procopius smile and sigh, shaking his head.
"Um, yea, something along those lines." Procopius said, not exactly lying but not exactly telling his tamer the whole truth either as they walked down onto the beach and Procopius noted the familiar faces in front of him. "Oh hey, it's those guys." He half mumbled to himself but it made Ollie perk up like a meerkat at the idea of finding people that they knew as they closed the distance between them and the water line, standing a few inches clear of it. Ollie cutting an odd figure on the sunny beach, dressed as he was in his normal button up shirt, khaki walking pants, high socks, sneakers and the massive backpack that was spilling over his shoulders as normal.
"Oh hello! I didn't expect to see you two attending the seminar." Ollie said, not realizing why they might be confused as to his choice of description of what was going on here today until Procopius began unpacking the bag he had brought with him. Sunscreen, swimming trunks, goggles and a brand new, plastic wrapped package of water wings. "Procopius what are you...oh." Ollie said, his sharp young mind not taking too awful long to put together what was actually happening here. He shivered slightly, a tremble running up his body as he fully incorporated the idea. "Well...that too is...something to learn, isn't it?" Ollie said, now looking out into the water with a much different look on his face, slightly unsettled at the idea of wading out into the ocean.
"Take your pack off, I can watch it for you. You need to get changed." Procopius said softly as he handed Ollie the brand new trunks.

Matsuri had thought she was going to have a pleasant day at the beach. But in reality, it turned out to be a betrayal of the highest order. They were going to the beach, but first, they were going to get cookies near the local bathhouse! But as Matsuri was going to find out, they weren't going to get cookies at all. No... instead, it was a vile, abominable trap laid out by the wicked Hotaru as she forced Matsuri to...
She forced Matsuri to... bathe!
She tried her very best to escape, starting with violent indignation followed swiftly by her pleas of mercy. But the cold, heartless Hotaru continued to painfully scrub every inch of Matsuri's body clean with her usual scowl as Sakura and Miki held her down. Matsuri could do nothing but glower at her assailants as the group traveled to the beach. There was something about someone teaching kids how to swim, or something, Matsuri couldn't hear much over the sound of her comrades' treachery. Not only was even the gunk and dirt in between her fingers and toes scrubbed out completely, but she didn't even get any cookies afterwards!
The group would find themselves at the beach proper. That group consisting of, of course, the ever-illustrious Matsuri. Her skin glistened in the summer air, now that it didn't have her usual protective shell of filth she could feel the air with every movement. She wore a light blue one-pierce with an extra frilly layer around the chest and waist area. Even her hair had been violated, so it hang loose behind her head, completely untangled and even had a shine to it.
Right beside Matsuri was her trusted Lieutenant, Elly. Her bright blonde hair was tied up in her usual pigtails, as her beach attire consisted of a white sleeveless shirt tucked into a pair of dark blue swimming trunks. And judging by the assortment of colorful plastic buckets neatly stacked onto one another and the hand shovel, it didn't look like swimming was much on the quiet little girl's mind.
Momo fluttered about overhead, insisting on remaining in her usual Pomumon form. She always took her job as lookout super seriously, even on lazy days at the beach. Though at this rate, rather than learn to swim, but spherical fruit bird might end up being used as a volleyball or something. And the terrifying thing is that the eager-to-please little girl would probably agree to it.
Sakura and Miki trailed behind the group, the brunettes wearing black, full-body wetsuits as they split off from the group almost immediately, surfboards in tow. Seemed like they also had their own reasons for coming with.
And of course, there was the wicked witch herself, Hotaru. The vile teenage girl didn't even bother with a swimsuit, instead wearing a pair of navy blue shorts with a black tank-top with some logo that was too faded to be discernible. Her usual wheeled-throne replaced by one with big, poofy wheels that seemed to go over the sand easier.
The group, sans Sakura and Miki, rushed on over towards the gathering group of the almost-unarmed nun-lady, Hackmon kiddos, everyone's fourth-favorite romantic pairing and their spideresque child, and a tiny lad with his maybe-lego, maybe-holosuited buddy.
Anyways, depending on continuity, Alpha might recognize one or two folks around.
Present: Hotaru Inoue Mood: Neutral/Grumpy
