When the girl told him that he was managing to make her fall for him, he looked at her with a surprised gesture, and apologized. That was not what he was currently aiming for, obviously. -Sorry. I didn't mean to -the teen said, the words being scarce, albeit with a certain tone of concern about the whole misunderstanding. He laughed when Aria said that it was typical of his brother to drop a note like that in his lunch.
-Yeah, it's not the first time. I've gotten used to it, though. That's how he is... -he sighed with a slight smile on his lips. -Say, Aria, if you don't think your food is eatable, why don't you try ours? Tats always makes too much, either way, and he'll probably threaten me with one of his karate moves if I come home with the box holding some food, since he "puts so much work and love into it" -he imitated his brother with a smirk, then half-grinned at the girl. -So, what do you say?
The friendly conversation was suddenly cut off by Mana confessing that she wasn't on very good terms with Tatsuya. That stranged Ryuu greatly: he had never thought anyone could get into his brother's bad books unless he or she had an incredibly cocky/diva-like personality, and that girl didn't seem anything like it, despite childish. -Well, don't worry. If he said he forgave you and won't lash out every now and then at you, it's fine. He can be quite cold if he wants to, though I've only seen that side of himself once or twice. It'll be okay! If anything, I've already met Dorumon. He's a nice Digimon, I must say! Tatsuya warned me about him probably trying to attack me, but instead he said it was a pleasure to meet the brother of his partner.
Kinda took both of us by surprise, to be honest! Sure, he's a little prick, but if Tatsuya is his... Tamer, or whatever he is, I'm sure it's only one side of the Digimon. For what I've seen, they are quite similar to each other! -he exclaimed, following Aria's invitation and beggining to eat his bento, remembering to say the "Itadakimasu" later on. He was still getting used to Japanese culture, after all.
-Uh, now that I think about it... Digimon eat human food too, right? Although if your partner is a seed... perhaps she'll prefer water? Since I don't have a partner of my own, it's much different for me.

Well, Ryuu's reaction to Aria saying was definitely unexpexted, but before being accused of wingwoman again, Mana just focused on Aria's commentary.
"Of course I want to taste your food! And if you think that you can make something uneatable, you should taste my cooking! I think that the dead would rise from their graves if they could taste it! Lucky that now I have Ryo-kun to cook me this delicious bento, don't you think?".
Well, her cheeriness lasted at least until Ryuu mentioned her situation with Tatsuya again. Truth to be told, she being that caused her troubles from that relationship wasn't Tatsuya, but rather... Dorumon. She wouldn't ever voice it aloud, but even if she had hugged him, she felt that the little fox dragon digimon just didn't like her; nah, that was an understatement. She actually thought that he despised her. And that wasn't counting the Yuuki incident that kinda made her afraid of the two of them. She shuddered a little, before shaking her head. Ayaka caught a glimpse of that, but she had chosen to remain silent. The small seed knew better than to gnaw on an acquaintance of the offender.
"Let's just keep it as it is, okay? I prefer to not to talk about the matter with you guys. My problems with Tatsuya and Dorumon are mine, and let's not spoil the moment by saying depressing stuff, anyway!".
With an 'itadakimasu' on her stead, she began to eat too, at least until Ryuu asked for Ayaka's eating habits.
"Yeah, they eat human food too, but this girl is an special case. She's a plant in all the senses of the word, so she mostly feeds on sunlight. You can water her, but I think that she's hydrated as of now, or she'd be asking me for that precise thing right now. She's not afraid of saying things, as you'll find out as soon as she evolves to a form that has a proper mouth".

"Well, as long as you don't meant it... but honestly, you sure know how to make girls blush, even if it's not intentional... or is it that you're some sort of a dense hero type? Either way, I'm not going to help you with your meal as punishment to make me blushing all of this day, Ryuu. Go eat them yourself because you're still growing, and best feed 'em body, alrite?" Aria patted his arm teasingly, however, she quickly inches closer to him while lifting a still twitching tentacle of what seem to be an octopus with her chopstick. "...In fact, wanna try mine?"
Whatever his reaction would be, Aria would just call Noir over and began to feed her another bento which is a bit more decent, but still horrific either way... yet the Pafumon seems to pay no mind to it and eats it happily as always. Aria then proceeds to stomach the horrible appearance of her bento and still ate it regardless, but slowly. It's good as always, but geez... nasty is nasty.
"And Mana-chan, you said you wanna try? Open wide~" Aria teased and gave her a pinch of chopstick of her handmade bento.

Ryuu pondered the question Aria threw at him with a confused gesture: was he a dense hero after all? No, he couldn't be. At that time, he was just being completely honest with the girl, although he hadn't stopped to think that what might seem usual to him could easily be deemed of bold in the eyes of a stranger. -Hm, I don't think I'm dense, but now that you mention it, at times girls would blush too when I spoke. I wonder if they thought the same as you...? -he said, scratching the tip of his nose before focusing on Mana.
So she had problems with her brother? He couldn't imagine anyone as nice as her being on bad terms with Tatsuya. His gaze narrowed for a split instant, but it returned to normal afterwards. -Well, guess you're right. I'd rather finish my lunchbox, because otherwise a beating will be awaiting for me at home!! -he jokingly stated, taking some rice into his mouth and munching on it. It was perfectly cooked, showing the amount of experience his brother had in that field.
It was then when Aria asked Mana if she wanted to have a taste of the girl's bento. The boy quirked an eyebrow at the display, and quickly spoke again. -I wouldn't do it if I were you, Mana. I'm sorry, Nakano-chan, but that looks as if it's going to jump out of your chopsticks at any second -he said, pulling out his D-Scanner with a playful smile, just in case the "something nasty" ocurred afterwards.
-By the way... My brother has a partner, Aria has one as well. How is it that you have two, Mana? I'm kinda curious, to say the truth... They didn't mention anything about... Penny, was it? -the boy asked, his electrical blue gaze fixed on Mana's honey coloured eyes.

Mana wanted to tease the pair so much. Barring the fact that the two of them looked cute together, they were just to teasable. However, she resisted her teasing urges for the moment, at least until Aria offered some of her bento in a very suggestive way.
Despite Ryuu's teasing warnings against it, She took a bite from the chopsticks and began to much the not-so-nicely looking food. She had to admit that it was quite good.
"Well, it tastes great, to be honest. You know, Ryuu-kun, actually..." she smiled teasingly again, not resisting the urge "I'd be more worried about Aria losing interest on you...".
She laughed heartily afterwards, too embarassed herself to keep with the facade. She was slowly getting out of her prejudices, and she guessed that a good-natured joke wouldn't hurt. Specially since Karin was so mean that she had made at least three of them back in the last time they were on scramble crossing. However, she was tad surprised at Ryuu's question. Uh, well. It was another teasing subject at least. Penny came back just in time, and Mana began feeding her a bit as she looked at Ryuu with a curious expression.
"Um, actually, I've said a lot of stuff about her. Maybe you were just too enthralled with Aria-chan's beauty that you didn't hear what I said about her?" she giggled again before continuing.
"As I said earlier, formally she's Ayaka's 'servant', refering to her as her daimyo and all that samurai stuff. On the literal side, she decided to follow Ayaka out of respect and now she lives with us! Isn't that neat? So... basically she isn't my partner, but she's one of my best friends. I don't know if there is a partner for her out there, but as long as she's happy with us, I guess that were surrogate partners? She's really fun to have around, and it seems that she now has a new friend" she said while observing how the Fufumon walked towards where Noir was, waiting for her to finish her meal to keep playing "Hopefully she and Noir-chan can be fast friends just like us, Aria-chan!".

Well, as she expected, Ryuu told her that he's not up to it. Still, she smiled as it's just meant as a tease anyway... Still, when he confessed he have no idea why the girls are blushing when he talked to them, she felt like facepalming. She set aside her empty lunchbox and put a finger up.
"Listen, Ryuu... I'll admit that you're attractive, but the problem here is apparently you don't notices that your words can actually make someone crushing you. Here in Japan, calling girl cute is... well, a sign of that you want to flirt with her, it's much less casual here than in the other 'western' country... if you keep calling a girl cute, you'd end up having an admirer who thought you're giving her hope... do you understand? You're basically calling a girl cute without any other meaning underneath that... you just call them cute because they're cute, but for that girl, it's almost like you're trying to flirt with her and give her hope that you might pick her as your girlfriend. Capiche, Mr. Silveret?"
But then, he pointed out that it can jump out of her chopstick anytime, Aria quickly shoved a chopstick of the tentacle on Ryuu's open mouth. Let's hope that goes in or else it'll be bad.
"Now taste that and apologize to my cooking," she grinned mischievously at him.
However, soon teasing came again from Mana. Aria pouted at her new friend. "Mouuuu... stop with all your teasing already! I'm going to be really angry, you know? I'll definitely will be angry!"
Noir, who has finished her food, quickly plays again with Penny, however, this time, it's apparently a little tackling and tickling session.

Ryuu listened to Aria's words with his head tilted, trying to understand why exactly telling her that she was cute was flirting with her, but Japanese culture was very different to the occidental one, after all. The teen smiled a little, his electrical gaze fixed on Aria's eyes. -You might be right! Many people told me I should be more careful with my words, but it's the truth... I'm sorry -he grinned, his eyes turning apologetic, albeit slightly playful and mischievous as he closed the right one and scratched the back of his head.
Before he could even say anything, however, the girl shoved the chopsticks up his mouth, forcing the food down his throat!! He groaned as the meal traversed down to his stomach... and it tasted surprisingly good. His eyes opened visibly as Aria teased him by telling him to apologize to her cooking, to which he'd comply... albeit in a slightly mischievous way. -Moe... -he said with the Japanese word for it, continuing afterwards -But I swore feeding a male was also typical from couples here in Japan? I can be mistaken, but... I'm not sure -Ryuu finished, turning to Mana, who explained things about how Penny was with her and why was she there if Ayaka was her partner.
The boy listened to the story, then sighed. -Ah, it'd be great to have a partner as well... but I guess turning into Shoutmon isn't very cool, either way. Seriously, he's too much of a midget. I really hope my next spirit packs a greater punch, because that form's a little too weak for my tastes! -he complained with a pout, continuing to eat his food, eyeing Aria, very curious to see her reaction to her previous tease.
Ah, the Ojou-sama façade had been brought down so easily... he could only be happy about that.

Well, even if they weren't willing to admit it, Mana had to say that there was some amount of chemistry between Ryuu and Aria. Even if they decided to treat each other just as friends and Ryuu just played dumb, but those were the conjectures of her fantasy world. They could be false... or every word true. Nobody knew, but she wanted it to be true.
Her theories were proven correct on her mind when Aria forcefully feed the white-haired boy and he just kept teasing her saying that only couples feed each other. Truth to be told, Aria had feed her some seconds before, so either Ryuu's style on hitting on Aria was either a very indirect one or the guy was rather clueless; even more so clueless than herself, and that was saying something.
However, Aria seemed to be really flustered at her teasing. She didn't know if she was just saying that she'd have to stop on a cute way or was being serious, but she decided to just stop it.
"Okay, okay. Geez, it's not my fault that you two behave that way, you know?" she simply said as she saw how Penny and Noir played with each other, and glad that the two of them could become such fast friends.

Aria took a bite of her own, looking at Ryuu who apologized... although not really. So basically, he's just the kind of Captain Obvious and Oblivious at the same time, and cannot lie about how he do stuffs... Aria sighed and pouted at him.
"Tsk, before you're wary of my cooking and now you're asking for more? Dangit, make up your mind, Ryuu Kazan! Fine, if you want more, then... open up," again, she gave him a chopstickfull of it before she finally noticed her blunder. As typical as it is, feeding each other is RESERVED FOR COUPLES. Also, she had been using that chopstick. Granted, when she feeds Mana, she doesn't really let her 'touch it' per se, so it's clean from the other girl... but as for the boy...

"ARRRRRRGGGHH!!"
Aria rolls around the floor, totally out of character. How stupid! How silly! She made the biggest mistake ever! What is this!? What is this!? Why the heck does she also use the same chopstick!? Aria's face turned so red that even an apple would be really pale in comparison. The fake Ojousama covered her face in shame. Why did she did that!? Why did she agreed to feed him more!?
Mana's teasing not helping either. The black haired girl hugged her legs in fetal position, chanting 'I want to die' repeatedly.

When Aria shoved another chopstick full of food, he was caught again by surprise for such a sudden act, even if he had teased her with it being a couple's thing. He expected to take it himself, not to be fed! Still, the girl seemed to had heard him, because afterwards, her expression changed a lot, as if she had just realized something. Unbeknownst to Ryuu, it was something beyond the fact that she had fed him: those chopsticks had previously been in his mouth. Perhaps to the western culture that was a meaningless fact, but for Japanese people, mostly between young teens, it could be regarded as an indirect kiss.
That's why he couldn't know why Aria's face turned even redder than a tomato, only to cover it afterwards, hugging her legs in fetal position as she kept on muttering something that sounded like "I want to die", although he couldn't discern it from her flustered movements. Ryuu's expression changed to a concerned one, reaching for her as he moved the hair on her forehead.
-Aria... are you alright? -he asked, pressing his palm to her forehead, gasping.
-I don't know what happened, but it feels like you have a fever... It'd be dangerous to let it just be -he muttered, then rose from his seating position to stand, and crouched besides her. -Here. I'll take you to the infirmary, alright? Give me a second... -he muttered next to her, only to attempt to pick her up afterwards. He wouldn't know if she'd allow it, but since she wasn't looking at him, she most likely wouldn't notice.
If she didn't interrupt him, he'd hold her on his arms, in a gentle yet strong grip. -So, Mana, are you gonna come too? That reminds me, we'll have to hide the Digimon for now... -he muttered with a thoughtful gaze.

And seemingly, 'disaster' stroke right afterwards. For some reason or another, she seemed to be more embarassed than a accidental crossdresser on a fifteen year old in a birthday party. She hadn't seen a brighter shade of red in her whole life, and that even looked to be only the beginning because, right after, before Mana could say something to calm poor Aria, Ryuu did the unthinkable. Mana couldn't believe how a boy that looked to be so perceptive could be that dense. It had to be an art; a true expression of the irony of the universe in that very moment, and Mana was being a witness of that.
"Ryuu-san" she began, losing all her teasing tone "If you keep doing that, you'll be treading a path with no return. Aria-chan's not on something that'd be checked on a nursery, unless Dr. Drew is in there, if you catch my drift. Do you really want her to fall for you or not? Because if you keep doing that, you might as well achieve it. Isn't it obvious? She's all red because of YOU, you big doofus! You can't be this dense!. And you holding her like that will only make things worse! You have to either decide if you wanna hit on Aria-chan or not! Otherwise, you better stop doing such ambiguous actions, because you're only worsening the situation, don't you just see?".
Teasing time was over, specially since Mana had had lived rather poor experiences because the denseness that boy were capable of mustering. She wouldn't have that happen again if she could prevent it.

What? Fever? Eh? Why is his hand on her forehead? Aria started to blush at that gesture. No way, no way, no way! Have she seen this guy as a potential romancing candidate? The worry he gave her is kind of touching... Here she thought that they're not meant to be because she's a liar... well, she hates to lie, anyway, but... never did she notice that this guy---GONNA LIFT HER!?
Bridal Style. Aria's face practically gone redder, even more than a boiled lobster. If this is some manga, there would be smoke coming out from her ear for sure! Aria covered her face in embarrassment as she felt those unnaturally strong arms lifted her. Geez, geez! What the heck is this, some shoujo manga plot? She thought playing Otome Games in secret would be enough to filter all those guys advances when she needed it! But who thoughts she's the one who's going to fall first?
"...D-d--"
She was about to say 'Put me down', but Mana just like that blurted out her feeling! She's intending to keep it hidden! Why, Mana, why!? Finally losing herself to her embarrassment, Aria fainted on the boy's arms. Noir, who saw this, evolved her own into Kyaromon and poked Mana's leg.
"...Um, I think your words just kiiiind of plucking the last straw, Manacchin. Worry not, Aria won't get upset at such thing."

Ryuu was very stranged at Mana's words. This time, he hadn't done absolutely nothing that could've been considered a flirt to make her as red, apart from picking her up, but that was when she was already like a tomato! -Wait, Mana. I haven't done anything if we don't count the teasing, but she suddenly turned like this after eating from the chopsticks she fed me wi... -he began, but then realized midway.
Not being able to hold the laughter, he let it go with a happy, amused tone. When he was finished, he couldn't help but to look at Aria with a half-grin. -Really? The Ojou-sama got so flustered by a silly indirect kiss? And here I was, actually worried that there was something wrong... You can't be serious...! -he said, laughing once again. So even a person with such a façade could go like that... it was great to know. -You really are childish beneath that image, aren't you, Aria-chan? -he said, still smiling to her.
However, he then noticed that the girl had indeed fainted from the embarrassement. The boy's amused grin turned into a concerned expression as he attempted to make her regain consciousness. -Aria. Aria! Are you okay? Shit, this is all my fault... -the silverette muttered, turning to Mana. -Hey, I'm really taking her to the infirmary this time. She has fainted! -he muttered, but realized that they had classes afterwards.
-Oh, damn, but the next lesson is... -he began, then smiled, realizing that nothing would happen if he missed that class. -English. On second thought, tell the teacher I also felt slightly bad, okay? I'd hate to let her alone when I'm guilty of her fainting... -his electrical gaze hovered over Mana, awaiting her answer. Even if she said she wouldn't, despite having no reasons for it, he'd begin walking with the girl still on his arms, being careful so she wouldn't hit anything with her legs or her head. It was easier now, but on the corridors he'd have to be more careful. Then he realized something...
-Or... that's what I'd like to say, but... I kinda don't know where the infirmary is.

At the catastrophe happening, Mana sighed. Kyaromon was right, but in truth, she didn't regret it. This was just fated to happen if their interactions kept going that way, and better if they just happened here instead of in more... embarassing places.
"Hold your horses, Ryuu-san" she said at the boy's franticness "Aria-chan will be alright, but if you're so worried about her, let's just wait a little before getting her there. I've seen my fair share of people who passed out due to embarassment and I've been through that myself, so it's usually something that doesn't merit being on the infirmary. And... would you think about Aria just for a second there? Even if you don't agree with it, think about what would happend if ANYONE saw you carrying her on that position towards the infirmary. The gossip would have its repercussions and they wouldn't be good, you know. So... if you really care about her, I think that we should risk entering class a little late and wait here for some minutes to see if she can get better by herself. Otherwise, I guess that if it can't be helped, we'll have to go with your plan."
She breathed deeply, trying to stay calm in such a delicate situation.
"Now that she can't hear you, Ryuu-san." she said with seriousness "What do you exactly pretend from Aria-chan? You better be truthful."

Ryuu was just about to carry on with his plan, but he was met with Mana's negative at his tentative of taking the girl to the infirmary, saying that it was mostly due to all the embarrassement she had experienced thanks to the teases and his actions, which didn't help removing that slightly feeling of guilt he had. Her arguments, however, were convincing. Aria was maintaining an Ojou-sama image, mostly because of her parents, and he hadn't stopped to think about what would happen if they saw her with the new student carrying her like that.
-I get it. I don't want her to get into trouble because of me, really, but it just seemed like the right thing to do. Gomen -he slowly apologized in his usual, calm voice tone. The conversation would only get spiced up by Mana asking him what his intentions were with Aria, telling him that he better be truthful. The teen's eyes darkened for a second. He was no liar, and he'd never be. He always telled the truth, so why wouldn't he do it right away?
-I never lie, since one: I hate liars, and I'd be a hypocrite if I did lie; and two: lying just means you are too weak to accept reality. With that said, well, I don't know if there's that much to be said, really. At first, when the teacher told me to sit down besides her, I just thought it'd be nice to start making friends from the very beggining. Then, she attempted to decieve me with Noir, but I can understand that... if she's doing it to protect her partner and it doesn't harm anyone, why should I?
What really got me was the way she's lying to everyone. I despise it, but at the same time, I want her to show this side to everyone, instead of the "Ojou-sama" that's just a top-notch student and the perfect lady. Geez, we're thirteen... we have the right to behave as kids, don't we?
Either way, I'm digressing... I really liked the way she really is, probably because she showed it to us so quickly. But as I said, I'm not interested in her, at least romantically. It would be wierd if I did: we've just met, after all.
Ryuu then stopped, carefully leaving the Nakano's sleeping body in a sitting position opposite to a wall, then sat down himself. -And what does it matter, anyway? Why are you interested in knowing what "I pretend from her?" -he said in a curious voice, not trying to be mean.
