Yaku exited the tram, rubbing his eyes as he began looking around the trailmon terminal. "The human world..." He said, rolling his neck. "Well, my world, I suppose I should be saying... I'm home..." He said, albeit hesitantly. He turned to Vetina, worried. "Are you sure something's not going to happen to push me back into the Digital World? N-no crowd of digimon, no powerful beast dragging me to that portal, no... no just plain bad luck?" He shook like a leaf once he realized how his luck usually goes, how he steps into a good situation and something comes along and sours it. He checked himself over to make sure no baby digimon had latched onto him during the trip through the city.
His tattered clothing and broken, scuffed, bloody accessories, hair, and suitcase showcased how much he'd changed in the digital world. His nails were long and filthy, his arms and legs were covered in gashes sores and scrapes, his hair was long and unkempt, and, as mentioned in a previous thread, his glasses were hardly usable anymore. But none of this matter to him, he was home again from his hellish adventure. "Thank you, Vetina... Betty." He bowed to them, smiling happily.

So far up to this point this trip back to the human world went without issue. Vetina wish they could have cleaned Yaku up a bit before coming back here, but in the end she thought that getting back here was best for the weary, homesick human. Still, even setting foot in his homeland, he was paranoid about being dragged back to the digital world due to some... rather persistent bad luck.
But in her confidence Vetina, clad in her holosuit, tried to keep Tridori's hopes high.
"Let me reaffirm my assurance, I'll put the two halves together myself. Through my hand I'll induce its certainty."
He had then bowed to them giving his thanks. But Vetina shook her head.
"No, hold your gratitude 'til the deed is fully done. By my admittance, given prior failure on my part, you'll not be left in solitude for the trip.
Betty..."
"I told you, I don't want to use your holosuit. I'll wait around here anyway. Just get that human back to his wife, alright?"

Yaku nods and returns to an upright position, carefully going to the elevator to the human world. "I... did have a change of clothes in my briefcase but I didn't want to change in front of you two, i-it would just be um... inappropriate." He hoped that past the elevator she would lead the way. He'd not been to the human world in... months? A year maybe? He was unsure if things had happened in that time, if he'd missed anything important, if people he knew had moved on or died... he shook his head and tried to reassure himself. That movie had taken place over... a decade. The world wouldn't have changed that dramatically for Yaku. His wife was probably still grieving, his job would have been unfilled, his home would still be there. He'd be perfectly fine. He'd just need to get back to the life of a salaryman rather than that of a survivor.
...Still, it wouldn't hurt to ask. "V-vetina?" He asked. "Did anything... big or important happen in the Human world while I was gone?"

"Well, make your visage more proper when the chance comes. Enough eyes will fall upon my gaudy appearance, haha. Needn't give spectacle to what's left hanging off your own frame."
Vetina was thinking about things... nothing particularly important other than hoping Yaku does get to see his wife again. Hopefully she'll be able to visit. If his wife will allow for a Plutonic relationship of sorts it might all be fine.
Yaku then asked Vetina about events happening here in his absence. But she shook her head.
"I could offer no overview. My stomping grounds lie elsewhere. Besides, I partook in some... personal events of importance 'twixt now and our last outing. Holding that preoccupation, I'm a poor choice for inquiries of that ature."

"That... is not reassuring." Yaku mumbled to himself. "Well, can you provide me an alibi? I doubt that they'll believe I was trapped in the digital world for almost a year, fighting for my life... I-I mean... it's not your fault. I-I got on the wrong tram, and how were you supposed to know I didn't know how to read your language? ...I-I'm just making this worse, aren't I?" He takes a deep breath and chuckles nervously. "Alright, um. I'm going to get changed..." The man ducks into a nearby restroom and begins changing into his more casual uniform: his pink polo shirt and checkered golf-pants.
Vetina might notice a curious poster showing Yaku's photo on a nearby wall, but it wasn't the missing poster that had been hung up long ago, it was another poster. A DATS Wanted Poster which read: "Wanted: Tommy Vercetti, for drug smuggling, bombing, and breaking other international laws." It also offered an incredibly massive reward.
Stepping out of the restroom into the main station, right next to the poster of himself, Yaku smiles, feeling like maybe, just maybe something will go right for him...

"An Uncanny claim demands an uncanny alibi. Don't you walk with woe, let past tense be past tense..."
Yaku did managed to find a place to change into something less put-in-meat-grinder and they continued on. Vetina saw a poster of Yaku, among other things. Although Vetina never really seen posters like this before. She scratched her head and looked at it, almost looking a bit jealous.
"Aye, the heart strains at half. To have a foreign portion that mixes so well with yourself. That intimate prize that is beets to your sinews. I had that once... and lost it.
But I'll leave the footnote there, it's you that's the focus. Your mate awaits. But as we trek, let it be not in adjecentcy. You take point lest natives assume we're of a pair. "

Yaku looked confused at her flowery and extravagant language, the metaphors of her tongue flying over his head. "...Were our conversations always this... confusing?" He asked, beginning towards a subway train heading for his home... or at least, what he remembered was his home. "Vetina, I'm kinda... scared. It's been a year. I don't know what's happened, if my wife thinks I'm dead, if I still have my old job... I-I don't know if I can go back. I kinda... got used to the Digital World, in some wierd way... how pretty it was, how the digimon interacted and reacted... I... maybe I could go back some day, y-you know?"

"Eh, Less or more." and a shrug was the response Vetina gave to Yaku about confusing conversations. But Yaku started to get cold feet about going back. He was afraid, pure and simple.
So she slapped him. Bit of an obvious response, yes. But he needed to snap out of it.
"Yaku, string your mind together and do this! You cannot steal your mate's closure! This is mandatory and... and if you retrieve your motions then... then I'll court you! I'll give you passion and be your bed! I'll tend to your needs and.. and...
...please smack me lest I reveal more with my spade..."

Yaku turned to stare at her, confused and horrified at these suggestions. "W-what?!" He backed away from her. "Y-you... you're only helping me because you love me?!" Truth be told, he was a bit flattered, but he was a married man! Vetina knew that from the day they met! Yet here she was, babbling on about passion and needs and... well, she wasn't an unattractive woman, per-se, but she was a completely different species! Sometimes it would change as well! He backed into a subway car, holding his hands up defensively. He knew her strength and what her powers may be, so this entire situation was just as dangerous as it was awkward.

Vetina embarrassingly scratched the back of her head, having said too much about her feelings towards him. She put her hands behind her in response to Yaku’s defensive position and walked to him. ”You needn’t fear harm by my hand, please. Your statement is… well, if I’m to bear all to myself and to you, a true ring of the bell are your words. You are mated to another, I’d deign to even consider robbing you of that bond. In fact, your romantic loyalty aided in reeling me in to finding your company well. I wish you’d have possession of my heart, but that’s a fool dream. Still, I’d find it better you own your wife’s heart instead. Can’t I wish for the happy collective of you and yours? Loss of the other half has stricken me even to this day, and by my very being you won’t suffer the like. “

Her flowery language continued to confound him, but as he listened it sounded like she was trying to either apologize or justify it... or both? "I... Well, Vetina this is kind of a bombshell... I'm not sure how to react to this, I-I need to um..." He sat down on one of the seats. "I need to think about this... I-I mean, it's not every day that this sort of thing happens, especially between erm... people like us."

Vetina looked down, ashamed at herself for not only blurting out her feelings for him, but her inability to properly apologize to him. She sighed, trying to go slower for him.
"I shall play at simple phrases. I'm sorry. You are your wife's. I wouldn't steal you. You owe me no romantic affection.
But, please... can't we at least claim friendship? I'll plead if I must. Just... do not hold ailing thoughts of me."
Vetina faced him, holding her hands together and, the way she was positioned, was about to perform a bow. But she would go through with it if Yaku did the same.

"...I just want to go home." Yaku said after a long, uncomfortable pause. He rolled his neck, adjusted what was left of his toupee and tried to clean off what remained of his glasses. A long train ride home awaited him before they arrived at his station. Carefully getting off and checking with a map of this once familiar locale, he marked where he remembered he lived, the worry growing in the pit of his stomach. Despite blowing her off, Yaku found himself apologizing to Vetina. Repeatedly and profusely, asking her to help and run through every problem that he encountered. He'd been in the digital world so long he'd forgotten human interaction. He was just as scared and confused as he had been in the digital world, ducking behind Vetina as normal people crossed his path. Finally, as they approached his home Yaku knocked on the door and found his worst fears confirmed: a man he'd never met answered.
The man was masculine and tall, and rugged to boot. He smoked a cigar and seemed not to care about whom he was looking at. "...What do you want?" Yaku opened his mouth to answer but only pathetic whimpering emerged.

Vetina could just cry. She had completely and utterly ruined things between them Her and her loud, sometimes-incomprehensible mouth. He did end up apologizing to her and seemed to be so nervous that he had issues trying to re-assimilate into his own world. It was a traumatic experience indeed, his time in the digital world. But Vetina would be happy if he gotten Yaku to his home with no issues.
And, just Yaku's luck, at the last second they hit a major obstacle. Some large, rugged man unlike any other Japanese man Vetina saw. Yaku tried to answer but couldn't...
"Sir, grant us a moment of recollection..."
Vetina dragged Yaku several feet away, facing away from the other man, and began to speak to him quietly, but hurriedly.
"Yaku I speak verbal salad, you must inquire with your own tongue. Stand firm and speak. Do this, or languish in uncertainty."

Yaku was dragged away by the strange woman as the man watched, confused. "I-I can't do it, look at him! He's like... he IS the man I wanted to be! He's tall, rough, muscular! I-And why is he in my house? D-do you think my wife... she thought I was dead? D-do you think she's happier now?" Question after panicked question flowed from Yaku's mouth as he held Vetina close, almost in the complete opposite of his stance before. He held her like a small child held a blanket for safety, and shook like a leaf. "We should go back, we need to go back and... I don't know... I-I don't belong here, I don't belong in the digital world... What do I do?! What do I tell him?!"
