"Whoo! Whoo! Now arriving at Terminus City!" The train blared as it began to slow. "That's our stop. You guys ready?" Kai looked over his motley party. Hopefully there wasn't too much trouble. Scout was the only one of them who could Digivolve to a fighting form, and there were three others who couldn't. One hadn't even hatched his Digi-egg. If it came down to a fight, would Scout and BlackAgumon be able to cover all three of them, and their partners? If only he was more useful. If only he and his partners could Digivolve to Champion. Then, if a problem arose, between Scout and him, they could keep the two new Tamers safe.
He stepped off the train, Shiro hopping out in front of him, and Kuro resting on his shoulders. "Stick together, guys. A lot of Digimon here aren't exactly fond of humans. And, as I've told you, there are bad Digimon who would like nothing more than to kill your partners and take their data." If he was being a bit dramatic, well, who could blame him? He'd specifically warned Paige not to come to the Digital World because of that reason. She'd decided to ignore him.
"Ha! I'd like to see them try! I'll take down any bad Digimon that even thinks about atacking us!" Shiro clearly did not keep his battle record in any form of long term memory. If he had, he'd realize that he hadn't won a fight with any Digimon, without the help of Champion level Digimon. "With that said, welcome to the Digital World! Anything in particular you'd like to see?" Not that he actually knew where anything was in this city. Maybe he should have invited Yui, after all.

Scout looks around, getting his bearings. He's been into Terminus City before, but...only a couple of times. So he's not a hundred percent sure of where everything is, either. This should be interesting... Once they emerge from Trailmon, he slots the datacard back into his D-Scanner. BlackAgumon appears on the ground infront of him, tugging his bracers back into place.
"Oh, thank Yggdrasil. It's so cramped in there, Kid. Maybe download some pictures of furniture next time. Or food,"
"You've already eaten all my bagels, you," Scout sighs.
Oh, good. They're going to bicker. Or banter. Whatever this is.

Takahiro seems awestruck as he stumbles off the Trailmon, and slowly looks around. Even in here. He's never seen more than one or two Digimon, after all. So three, four, or half a dozen is...a lot. And more than that, he's not even on Earth anymore! An entire parallel universe!
He takes his glasses off and puts them in a pocket, "Wow. Uh. Well, what would you recommend we see?" Craaazy. Hm. Did that egg move? No. Must've been the way he jostled his bag. Bah.

"...Wow," she muttered to herself, staring around at...well, just about everything. So this was a whole new world...a whole new world she knew nothing about. Already she was getting excited as she thought about what she could find here, so much so that Kai's warning didn't scare her that much. She still did keep it in mind, although one question couldn't help but be thought of by her.
"...Hey Kai. How come they hate humans so much?" she asked of the older boy as Nyaromon hopped out of her arms...and her bag began to shake a bit more. The girl sighed before opening it up too; they were in the Digital World now, it'd be cruel to keep her inside. The little angel Digimon let out a cheer before hopping over to her sister.
"From what I heard it's jealousy! Mostly for humans with partners. They're jealous they don't have a partner." Nyaromon answered for her as she looked around a bit more; it'd been a while since she was in the Digital World, too.
"Jealousy...huh. Well anyway, I dunno! This is my first time here...maybe the most important places to see?" she suggested, shrugging her shoulders as she glanced at Kai, before turning her attention to Scout and the Digimon with him, a confused look on her face. "What's that thing?" she questioned of him, pointing at the D-Scanner.

There was BlackAgumon. And he was bickering with Scout, which was just about normal. A good sign, hopefully. Paige and Takahiro were suitably wowed. Hopefully they listened to him and didn't sneak off. Given Paige's track record, maybe he should keep a close eye on her. Last time he hadn't kept an eye on someone like that in the digital world, it had nearly gotten him and his partners killed. Thankfully, Yui had been there.
Why did Digimon hate humans? Nyaromon's explanation saved him from awkwardly explaining that he didn't know. He hadn't come here very much, he wasn't familiar with anything about the city! He knew the terminal, and Kamemon's Udon shop, and not much else. Well, while he tried to come up with something, he could answer the question.
"Well, that's his Digivice, like ours," He took out his own to demonstrate. "Scout's is just, well, it's a bit different. You see, while we have Digimon partners who Digivolve, Scout turns himself into a Digimon. You'll have to see it to believe it," He said, giving Scout a pointed look. This type of demonstration would be perfect to buy time while he figured something out.

"Ah, yeah. This seems like a good time to play with my new Spirit," Scout grins, swiping BigAgumon and FlaWizarmon's Spirits aside on the screen, "Charge and Up. Digivolve to," His body maintains its humanoid form as it grows, hitting around six and a half feet in height. He becomes little more than a shadow surrounded by crimson flames as red and gold armor affixes itself to his body, and long golden hair grows from the back of his horned-and-masked head, "Agunimon,"
The flames disappear, leaving no trace of their presence as Scout stands there, all shiny and impressive-looking. Good for him! It still feels weird to turn into something other than a big dinosaur, buuuut. He can live with it.

Takahiro's eyes widen slightly as his brother transforms. He'd seen him shift into BigAgumon before, of course, but never a...humanoid warrior of some kind. It was actually pretty impressive looking. Not that he'd ever admit it to Scout. Still, he's not used to 'big' brother being so literal...
"Uh. R-Right. Somewhere important. Like a, uh. Wherever they sell food, or a plaza, or...something," Agunimon's hand on his shoulder, oddly, doesn't comfort him all that much. Poor kid's dealing with some sort of overload.

"...Turns into a Digimon?" she repeated, frowning as she eyed Scout. It wasn't that she didn't believe Kai, he hadn't lied to her and she doubted he would, but...well. It was a very hard pill to swallow, to say the least, and he was right. She did have to see it to believe it.
But even when he went and changed into a Digimon, she still found herself staring at the older boy in surprise. It was so...so weird. She wasn't even sure what to say to that as she stared at him. No one else seemed as surprised as she was, though.
"You should close your mouth, Paige. All the flies are gonna get in it," Nyaromon paused. "...Wait, nevermind. There aren't any flies here." the Digimon added a moment later, causing Paige to giggle. She was right...if she was going to be a Tamer, she'd have to be used to all kinds of weird things. This included.
"How does it work...?" she spoke to Scout, before looking to Takahiro at his words and nodding. "Right! That's important..." she trailed off, remembering what she had been told. "...But would they even have food here? Since Digimon are all data?" she wondered out loud a moment later.

Paige's surprise at Scout's transformation Kai had expected. Takahiro's... Not so much. Kai hadn't seen this form yet, but he'd known that those like Scout could change into several different forms. Takahiro, though, he would have expected to have seen... Agunimon, as Scout had called out, before, being his brother and all. The 'call your name' thing Digimon did was very convenient. How else would he be able to keep track of the names of their new forms every time they changed?
"I recommend not trying to think about it so much. It works the same way all Digimon work. You'll just have a headache trying to think about it." If only Kai could take his own advice. But he couldn't. He wanted to understand not only what Digimon did, but how they did it! So far, the more he learned, the less sense it all made.
Food? Yeah, that was something he knew where to look for. Yes, there is indeed food. Now again, trying to think about it will give you a headache, but just like Digimon can eat human food, humans can eat Digimon food. C'mon, I know at least one decent place around here." He lead the group to Kamemon's Udon stand, where Yui had taken him on his first trip to the Digital world. Hopefully this time, no one would run away and cause trouble.

"Mm. Whoa," His voice is noticably deeper than before, and almost sounds a little hoarse, as though he's been shouting a lot. He seems to wobble on the spot, back and forth, for a moment. Sure, it isn't as disproportionate to his human form as BigAgumon, but such a large height increase is still jarring. "I use ancient Spirit Totems. They're downloaded as data into my D-Scanner, and I can use them to Digivolve. So far, I have four, but I think there are still plenty more of them out there," He explains to Paige.
BlackAgumon's attention seems to come back to the group as they mention food, "Yeeees. Food,"
Agunimon bops him gently on the head, "Cut it out. Sorry, Kai. Lead on," He seems to have lost a lot of his hyperactive energy, seeming a little more...well, mature might not be the right word, but certainly a little more reserved, and calm.
[Skip Takahiro this round.]

"...I'm already getting a headache," she admitted, shaking her head with a frown. and despite Kai's advice, she was STILL trying to think about it. The girl decided to just...sort of stop trying that before too long, though. There was no point in giving herself a headache trying to figure out something that didn't make a lot of sense.
Plus...it couldn't be TOO huge a deal, right? Nyaromon hadn't made much of a comment on it, so maybe humans turning into Digimon was sort of normal. Or if not normal, at least not unheard of. Well..in any event, it didn't matter.
"...This turning into a Digimon thing doesn't make sense," Paige added after the two spoke and began to move; she, of course, followed them, Nyaromon hopping along behind her. "It seems like a lot of things in this Digital World aren't gonna make a lot of sense, if I had to guess. Am I right 'bout that?'

"Exactly. That's why I said not to think about it too much. Come on, follow me." He led the small group through the bustling city, to a small stall by the side of the road. Entering, he found Kamemon, the friendly turtloid chef, though he didn't speak much. "Hey Kamemon. Two plain Udon, and one with everything." He turned to the other three. "In the Digital World, you pay with your Digivice. This one's on me, though." He wasn't entirely clear how the Digital currency worked, but he knew that he had a lot more of it than he had real world money, somehow. He gave the others a chance to order, while he continued to try and come up with the important places in the city.

Agunimon stares down at the small turtle-like Digimon with the fury of a thousand burning suns. A gaze that could wither the most battle-hardened warriors. "Your spiciest Udon, please," He tries to smile. Ow. Why are the facial muscles different? Oh, right. Because there's metal attached to them. Of course.
BlackAgumon more-or-less orders 'a barrel of Udon', as he's prone to do. Scout still isn't sure who this girl they're with really is, beyond what Kai's told him. She has two partners as well. Is that common? Does that mean Taka's digitama might hatch into twins too? He wishes he could answer her questions, but he's barely even thought about how it all works. Very silly, on his part...

Takahiro takes out his own Digivice and looks it over. How is he supposed to pay for things with it? Wireless transaction, most likely. But where does the currency come from? More importantly, his still displays a 'Loading' icon. Perhaps it's broken? Doubtful it can be used as Kai suggests, until he gets it repaired...
"Based on what I've, um. I've observed, the process that changes Scout into a Digimon has a couple of possible explanations. Either some kind of matter-energy conversion occurs every time he activates it, re-assembling his molecular structure to match that of whatever Digimon data is stored in his D-Scanner. Or...that same kind of conversion happened the first time he used his D-Scanner, and Scout is now permanently a data-based life-form, like BlackAgumon, Kuro or Shiro, and can thus Digivolve like a Digimon,"
That might be the most he's said. Like, ever. He doesn't usually speak all that much to begin with, let alone around relative strangers, and certainly not about 'half-baked' theories. Still! The girl did ask. He shrinks in on himself a little after that, suddenly embarassed, and quietly orders.

"Uhm...just one ordinar-" Paige paused as she glanced at Nyaromon. And then there was the Digimon still sleeping in her bag, too. The girl sighed as she remembered that. "Two ordinary Udon," she corrected herself, just as the one in her bag began to stir. Not really a surprise there...she'd found food could almost always wake a Digimon up instantly.
They really were quite the big eaters, no matter what their appearance would say otherwise. As soon as she opened up her bag, Puttimon came flying out. Or rather, hovering, since she was still young. She only kept herself in the air for a few moments before landing with a plop on the ground.
She promptly occupied herself by excitedly running around the stall, circling it. Paige shook her head and giggled at that, before looking to Takahiro as he began to speak. She stared at him in silence for just a few moments before smiling wide. "Wow...you're really smart, aren't you, Taka? I'm glad I'm with people who know so much about this stuff."
