Joseph nodded to Marshal as he looked around him, taking in the sights and sounds of this strange new Dimension, his Digi-Egg still partly wrapped in his scarf and cradled against his torso by his arms. Marshal took a bit of time to inform him that not all Digi-Eggs hatched into the same Digimon, so it was very likely that whatever he had in his hands could be a unique Digimon. Of course, his other questions, about if the egg was Alien in origin, and where it came from, came in a show and tell sort of reveal.
Somehow the two of them... well four of them went from Japan to another Dimension, and Joseph could see Digimon of all shapes and sizes traveling around the city they were heading too. Or at least he was certain that they were Digimon. He was broken out of his trance by Marshal speaking to him again, and Joseph shook his head real quick and focused on Marshal again, doing his best to ignore all the new sights. "I see... so... are there only a few of us chosen by Digimon then?" He asked, before thinking a bit more.
"So could my Digi-Egg become one of those larger Digimon or something of that size too?" He asked, feeling like a kid asking all sorts of questions. "And... and that whatever I have is going to rely on me, but more like a Protector and Fighter or something of that sort?" Joseph asked, feeling a little excited in the idea of it.

Joseph seemed pretty excited about everything. That was good to see, but after learning from Maia, Marshal did have a few reservations about this whole Digimon thing.
"Well," he began, continuing his explanation, "I'm not entirely clear on the details of why we're here, but it seems that Tamers are specifically chosen by...something. I'm not sure what. As far as your Digimon growing bigger, the answer is a definite yes. Every Digimon has the potential to Digivolve, or grow to their next stage of evolution. Digimon that are partnered with Tamers can Digivolve even easier. In fact, Sunmon can even Digivolve a bit farther. Check it out!" He grabbed his Digivice and allowed Sunmon to free himself from Marshal's grasp. Suddenly, the familiar glow of Digivolution enveloped Sunmon.
"Sunmon Digivolve to...Coronamon!"
Coronamon stood there and looked at Joseph, giving him a slight wave. "Hello," he said quietly.
"So there you have it," Marshal concluded. "I think they can Digivolve at least three more times, and there are a number of special types of Digivolution that I'm currently studying up on. It's kinda funny, actually. I've been putting more effort into researching these Digimon than I do my actual schoolwork!"

Nodding once more as the youth spoke, Joseph gave the egg another pat and wondered what would come from it. "So we are chosen by something and through a mutual relationship we make them stronger and they protect us as we are their Tamers... Its a strange concept to think about." Joseph said, rubbing the top of the egg a bit before looking around him again. It was when the small orb of a creature from Marshal's arms jumped down that Joseph watched it move with surprise.
It somehow changed from one form into another, and what was a strange orbs was now a small lion-looking fire ewok thing. Kneeling down, Joseph offered his hand for the Digimon to shake, and he smiled at it, "Hello to you too Coronamon." It was interesting to see that this thing could change, but Joseph stood back up and looked at Marshal as he began to speak again.
"So... there are about 6 main forms for a Digimon, and some side forms that a Digimon could reach as well?" He mused, before looking at his Digi-Egg once again. "I wonder what you are my little Digi-Egg... come out when you are ready." He said with a smile, before giving Marshal a chuckle. "That might not be the best choice for your future lad."

"Eh, I don't like to think that far into the future," Marshal admitted. "It gets too stressful after a while. I do fine enough in school as it is."
"To be fair, Marshal, I haven't seen you do a shred of schoolwork since I've known you," Coronamon interjected.
"Oh, that stuff? I'll get to it later." Marshal laughed as the three of them travelled along the streets of Terminus City. "Anyway, this place is Terminus City. It's the biggest city in the Digital World, and many Tamers and their Digimon tend to congregate here. It's kind of a safe haven, since it's pretty scary out there with all the wild Digimon out there. For now until your egg hatches, you'd probably do well to stay around here. Even then, it's probably best to wait until your Digimon hits the Rookie level, because you never know what might attack you."

Joseph let out another laugh at the exchange between Marshal and Coronamon, before feeling the egg in his arms shift a bit, before falling silent again. The moment he felt it move his entire body stiffed and he looked at the Digi-Egg expectantly, but found himself a little disappointed and a little relieved that nothing came from it just yet. How could he be certain he was the one it actually picked, or that whatever was inside was an actual Digimon. The worries he was having over the entire thing was actually stressing him out.
Looking around him and taking in the sights again, Joseph was a bit surprised at the scope and size of the city and the walls that enclosed the city. He had to wonder what sort of adventure he could possibly have here once his Digi-Egg hatched. "So... there are civilized Digimon and there are wild Digimon... kind of like one of those rpg games with friend NPCs in cities, and Monsters and Bandits out in the wild... I'll keep that in mind..." He said, nodding a bit and rubbing the top of the Digi-Egg again.
Perhaps it was all the care, maybe it was all the petting and cuddling he was giving it, or maybe it was even simply being in a safe place in the Digital world, but Joseph's Digi-Egg began to shake and rock again. "Hey... Hey hey hey!" Joseph said in excitement as he held the Digi-Egg a bit from his chest, expecting the hatching to be a little messy. After a few moments though, instead of breaking apart the Digi-Egg glowed brightly before what was left was a small little snake-like thing, wearing what seemed to be a turtle shell hat a bit larger then it's head.
Holding it carefully, Joseph couldn't help but smile at the newly hatched Digimon. "Hello there." He said, not yet noticing that he was holding a strange green device just yet. The Digimon seemed to 'look' around itself, even though the shell hat was covering most of it's face. "Hey! Are you my Tamer! I'm Bomon!" Bomon said, her voice tiny but Joseph couldn't help but think it was cute. "Hello Bomon! I am your Tamer, my name is Joseph." He said, and the small Digimon flew, a bit awkwardly, at his face and rubbed against his cheek before sitting back on his hands.
"Joseph! Yay!" She said happily, and it was then that Joseph noticed the device in his hand. "Hey, what is this...?" He asked, looking over to Marshal, only for Bomon to speak up. "Our Digivice! Its a tool connecting us!" She cried out softly but happily. Looking at it, Joseph smiled and used one arm to hold Bomon against his chest as he was doing with the Digi-Egg, even though Bomon was quite smaller then the egg was. "That... was exciting... so what else can you show me Marshal?"

Marshal smiled as Joseph's egg hatched. "That's an interesting Digimon. I don't think I've ever seen one like it before." The group continued to walk a ways until Marshal stopped. "I'm not sure what else I have to show you around here. Honestly, I still have to explore the Digital World myself. For now, if I were you, I would just spend time with Bomon until she Digivolves to a higher level. In any case, I'm probably going to stick around for the rest of the day and do some more Digivolution research. If you need me for anything, you can contact me at any time."

Joseph smiled and watched as Bomon would occasionally rise out of his arms and fly around him a little bit before lowering back into the little nest he had made with his scarf. Giving the small Digimon a pat on her helmed head, Joseph looked at Marshal and gave him a nod. "I see, I suppose that would be good too do for now, to learn more about her." He said, before looking at the city around them and the path he had come from.
"Oh, um then we should exchange numbers... that... thats a bit creepy actually... damn... baah whatever. You might be able to help me in the future for things involving Digimon and I might be able to get you out of a jam too if need be." Joseph said, putting the Digivice on his belt and pulling out his cellphone, offering his number to the youth and being ready to put his number into his phone in return.
"I really should look into a lot of this stuff about Digimon and the things they can do, so I might stick around in town as well. Maybe I can even get Bomon here to Digivolve again before the day is through." He said, giving Bomon a smile.

Marshal quickly exchanged numbers with Joseph. "Thanks. If you need anything, don't hesitate to let me know! I'm glad things are working out so far. Welcome to the Digital World!" With that, Marshal left Joseph to explore Terminus City on his own.
"Do you think he'll be okay?" Coronamon asked. "Maybe we should've stayed with them until his Digimon digivolved to Rookie."
"Nah, I'm sure he'll make it work," Marshal assured his partner. "After all, there's more than just fighting as a means to Digivolving."
"Fair enough," Coronamon shrugged.
"All in all, I think we did the right thing," Marshal said, folding his arms behind his head as they walked along the street. "Just like Maia helped us when we got here, we helped out Joseph. Maybe someday he'll help some new Tamer out too! The cycle never ends, I guess."
"I guess you're right," Coronamon smiled as the pair walked off to the city library so Marshal could do more research on Digivolution.
