(ooc: sorry for the delay guys, life calls ya know spire asked me to join back in.)
Leon had been lost in his thought of the cause of the disturbance, and before he could truly understand what was going on he snapped from his disposition. “Crap how long have I been standing here with drool running down my fur? The young lion began to run deeper into the cavern looking at the battle scarred land before him. What had happened while he was lost in thought, and exactly how long had he been that way? “Man, I hope everyone is okay.”
The lion continued travelling until he reached the very same Tsukaimon that he had met outside of the cavern. Slowly, the lion would walk forward announcing his presence. “So, what exactly have I missed?” He would mutter with a dumbfounded expression on his face.

OOC: I'm very sorry to say, but, it's been too long. Skipping Mana. Leon is welcome to re-join, and thus won't be attacked this post.
The digimon stared at the spirit user. His words and actions indicated that he intended to take the sphere that they were guarding. Quite suddenly, the sphere pulsed once with light, making the Grumblemon and Minotaurmon's red eyes glow momentarily. "You... will... not!" the Minotaurmon rumbled. And the sphere behind them pulsed again, a second shield forming around it, which grew and grew until it formed an eerie shadowy barrier between the two parties. Unlike the solid blue translucence of the first shield, this one was more distorted; corrupt. And then, moments later, Minotaurmon smashed his gun-arm to the ground. "Eruption Burst!" he boomed, and at once, the ground began to rumble. Moments later, a burst of energy would erupt from directly under Kan, which would be very unpleasant indeed. Grumblemon meanwhile remained sitting atop Minotaurmon's shoulder, watching to see what happened next. FIELD EFFECT - Active at All Times:

Arriving at the statue room, Tetsu looked up to the figure of the goddess statue. He had passed a lion Digimon midway, but from the look at it, he's not a hostile one. Probably someone who was in the mission before him?
"Lady Gaia!" Tetsu called out to the statue. It might looked like a loon if you're not religious... neither is Tetsu honestly, but at least he's more accepting to superstitions and the presence of higher power. Almost in desperation, he squeezed out his voice.
"I... I wish for a power... not power to defeat my enemy, nor power to protect... I wish... for a power to heal, strong enough... to purify the corruption on the guardians..."
Death is nature, death is a promise. However, that promise are partial on creatures such as Digimons. Death does not exist for them... it exist, but they'll reborn. In that way, absolute death are not something that is a nature for them. It's not a promised thing. It's like a breach of contract.
"......Please, give us power."
...He had no idea what sort of live those two have, but... the thought of never returning, never reuniting with the loved one made his heart ache. Almost reverently, the boy lowered down his head, begging at the divine being that not even native to his land nor Digital World.

The bear and his tamer ran back upstairs, something about buying them time? They wanted to try something with the statue of Gaia. He grimaced ever so slightly realizing that even if he could help it was far too late now. The other human and their digimon seemed a bit nervous when it came to the two in front of them all. But they seemed to be on board with "holding them off" for the others. Kan didn't really see that happening. Silence from the Tsukaimon seemed normal; wasn't really the chatty sort and he didn't have time to really care. The last thing he was expecting was the the Lion esq digimon to rejoin them.
Finding himself not really having an answer for the Lion digimon the spirit user readied himself for what he'd like to say would be an even fight. He was not expecting the pulsing from the sphere or a second shield that lay between the two parties. It looked corrupted; which could only bode ill for them if they decided to try to go inside. It'd certainly cut down his game if he couldn't get close with this form; he'd have to resort to something... More drastic if things got worse.
Which worsen they did; the Minotaurmon smashed it's gun-arm into the ground. He was more expecting the creature to fire at him with something from the gun-arm. He was not expecting the ground to be from where the attack came. He was familiar with the sort of move however, since his first form had an attack that was similar but not exact. Though rather than do anything to avoid it; the spirit user just stood there. The attack engulfed him completely; the energy lashing angerly around the form within. Though when the attack ended, a different creature stood there. Much taller, much leaner and not covered in fur like it's prior digivolution. Rather than something lovecraftian the digimon was something akin to those half dragons you'd see in dungeons and dragons. It's arms were folded and it's head was shaking; it didn't look pleased and one eyebrow was raised slightly.
Really now? Was expecting maybe a persuasive speech to try to win us over. Tsk Tsk.
Waggling a finger like one would scold a child; a little sullen white and black orb would appear above the tip of the pointer finger's claw. Shaking it's horned head as if rather dissapointed; the finger arched down to join the rest of the others. The orb however did not follow the same path as the finger, it instead flew out intent on landing quite clearly on the pair of digimon. Wether or not it hit them directly didn't matter very much. The resulting detonation would normally engulf almost the entirety of the other half of the room....

"Oboro, stand back!" Ikkakumon called. It seemed that the scary-looking one was capable of Digivolving. Ikkakumon wasn't entirely sure how powerful this new form was, but he didn't want Oboro to be too close.
Oboro did as instructed and ran back towards the staircase, ready to run as fast as he could to get Tetsu if he needed.
"Northern Light!" Ikkakumon shouted, shooting a beam of icy energy that shone like an aurora. It probably wouldn't do much, but any little bit helped.

To Tsukaimon there was no such thing as a passive target. Now that there seemly was no way to avoid fighting (and no annoying kids to get in the way), he was ready.
With a grin he flew to the sides to avoid being hit by the crossfire from Minotaurmon. But before he made an attack on his own, he saw that Leon was back despite his attempt to get rid of him. Tsukaimon made a snort to lament this return. Before speaking: "Don't just stand there, kill them!"
To set an example, Tsukaimon flew up near the ceiling with flames in his mouth, then he spit and a fireball was flying towards Grumblemon in what clearly was an attempt to shoot them off the shoulder.

The small lion was caught off guard by the words of the Tsukaimon commanding him to charge the overgrown bull in battle. Despite the size of the small virus digimon the little guy fought viciously against the grumblemon attempting to knock him off the minotarumon shoulder. “So, I guess I skipped straight to the point where I am going to have to fight...I guess I have missed a lot. Although this seems to be more interesting than sitting around doing nothing.”
It was time for him to get serious in facing the enemy he began to let the emotion of passion to rage like a wildfire throughout his body. ”Digi armor energize!” With a deep crimson red light encompassing his body in the shape of an egg covered in flames, and expanding. “Leormon armor digivolve to...Firamon!” Once the light, and flames subsided the large fire lion leapt into the air charging at the enemy his claw becoming engulfed in flames. ”Fira Claw! He would shout as he attempted to deliver a burning razor sharp slash to the chest of the enemy.

In Gaia's Chamber:
The statue did not speak at first. After all, it had no means to do so. It was simply a carved figure made from stone.
However, it was indeed an artifact of living earth. Eventually, the statue's eyes opened, glowing with warm green light. At once, energy began to shine over Gryz. It seemed his prayer was answered. It had been long ago since a digimon such as him had been in her presence - a creature that wished to heal rather than destroy. And so she gave Gryz her blessing.
Also, if one checked the room carefully, they would notice an object there, presumably carried there by one of the other team members...
For the rest of the thread, all of Gryz's healing techniques are 30% more potent.
In the Corrupted Hall:
Minotaurmon and Grumblemon did not immediately react as the spirit wielder seemed to evolve once again. All they could sense from him that he was still a threat. However, he then attacked, firing orbs at them. Ordinarily this attack could have killed digimon of their level outright, but, as the orb passed through the corrupted barrier, it would lose much of its size and intensity. Nonetheless, when it struck Minotaurmon, the explosion consuming him and Grumblemon, the lumbering digimon staggered slightly, his eyes flashing with pain.
Then, the Ikkakumon attacked. Unlike with Kan's attack, this seemed to be unaffected by the corrupted barrier. However, Minotaurmon raised his gun-arm in front of Grumblemon, protecting him from the hit. The gun-arm also shielded Grumblemon from the Tsukaimon's attack. It was too heavy to even be shaken by the blast.
The last to strike was the newly arrived Leormon, who armor digivolved to Firamon. He attempted a melee attack. However, all that happened to the Minotaurmon was the hair on his chest becoming slightly singed.
Recovering slightly from the orb explosion, Grumblemon then raised his hammer in both arms and began to glow with brown light. "Anger of the Land!" At once, a surging yellow energy surrounded Minotaurmon, making him rumble menacingly.
Then Minotaurmon raised his gun arm once more, and it began to spin like a rotary cannon. "Brimstone Gunner!" he thundered, aiming at Kan, firing a volley of sharp rocks at him. However, the stones that missed, well, they may have an effect later...
Corrupted Firewall and Corrupted Earth are still active.
Minotaurmon and Grumblemon are hit by Flash Orbs (reduced in power by 75% by the Corrupted Firewall, with a blast radius of 8ft).
Minotaurmon is hit by Northern Lights, Fira Claw and Friendly Fire. Suffers no reduction.
Grumblemon:
Passive Ability 1: ?
Passive Ability 2: ?
Grumblemon uses Anger of the Land on Minotaurmon.
Anger of the Land - Grumblemon enriches himself or an ally with a golden aura that increases the damage of their Earth elemental attacks by 50% for 3 turns. [Cooldown: 3 posts]
Minotaurmon:
Active effect: Anger of the Land [3 turns remaining].
Passive Ability 1: Gunmetal Shield - As long as Minotaurmon is still alive, he can cover Grumblemon from all direct and projectile attack damage. Area of effect attacks will still still damage both of them.
Passive Ability 2: Tauran Hide - Minotaurmon's thick hide and muscular form makes him very sturdy and has high defenses on the battlefield. Furthermore, as long as he is in contact with the ground, the corrupted earth energy makes him impervious to stuns or snares.
Passive Ability 3: ?
Minotaurmon uses Brimstone Gunner on Kan.
Brimstone Gunner - Raises his Demon Arm, which begins to spin like a gatling gun. Fires a volley of razor sharp stones at a target.
Anger of the Land increases its power by 50%. Corrupted Firewall reduces its strength.

A beam of ice, a fireball.. and some kind of flaming charge. All these attacks followed after his own, but for some reason his attack was much smaller and looked much weaker than what he was expecting. It had to be that barrier but he figured that he couldn't break the barrier without dealing with the corrupted center and to do that he'd need to deal with the pair of digimon that guarded it.
The duo that had gone above still hadn't returned, so he had to figure they were still working things out. If they wanted to do anything about this fight or situation in general they'd have to hurry.
With the Grumblemon doing something that made the Minotaurmon glow a yellow color; he had to assume that it was form of buff or... Well he couldn't really guess until he hit them again and again. The minotaurmon started to fire at him with the cannon; which of course was something he was fully expecting. Shaking his head slightly as though once again berating the other; the sharp rocks that launched towards him from that cannon were met with a tail slap sending them every which way. A few of them hit home but... They stung but not too badly; more than he was expecting. Growling in irritation one by one the bones floating above his tail slide up his back and over his shoulder, down to his left hand forming an odd little circle.
Springing forward at an impressive speed, barely floating off of the ground the spirit user brought to bear one strike after another. Each one of the seven bones were utilized in some manner; but a majority were all aimed at the grumblemon rather than the minotaurmon. From left to right, above and from below below, and both sides at once... Earlier it had protected Grumblemon from a fireball; which meant that it would continue doing so. The last length of bone however was aimed not at the Minotaurmon's body but in between the three of barrels. It was a jamming and damaging attempt all in one but even if it didn't work these seven strikes would of course put the minotarumon on the defensive which would put the rest of his allies in a good spot.
The Seven: Using the bones upon it's tail the digimon attempts a seven tier strike. Each strike more vicious than the last. It does not require the digimon itself to physically wield the bones and may allow it to strike enemies up to One hundred feet away. These are high damaging strikes that when they do hit give the benefit of regeneration to the digimon or one that it is physically touching. This move may only be used every seven posts and only if all seven strikes were used.

Ikkakumon seemed satisfied that his attack had hit, but the results left him less than enthused. That Minotaurmon was tough, and it seemed that perhaps something more would be needed. For the time being, it seemed that the two enemies were targeting the Spirit User, so Ikkakumon figured it'd be best not to provoke them. That guy was tough, so he could probably handle it. "Icicle Coat!" At once, Ikkakumon was surrounded by a white aura that chilled the air a bit. He decided that it would be smart to better protect himself in case the enemies decided to come after him.
Oboro, meanwhile, was watching on nervously. Tetsu and Gryz still weren't back yet, and these enemies were tougher than expected. Would they actually be able to get by without Blizzarmon's help?

For love of Homeostasis, the battle downstairs already started!? Gryz cannot help but to wonder where goes the heart of these peoples, to just like that start the battle without thinking that something is really amiss? The bear was about to flip out in anger, something that was extremely rare to happen, but that's when his eyes landed on Tetsu looking at a book. He tossed it to Gryz who immediately saw that it's written in Digimoji. No wonder the boy can't read it. At first he was thinking that Tetsu told him to ignore it, but when he saw the boy's eyes...
He reads it, tale about the Digimons... That's when their eyes aligned and Tetsu immediately dashed to the stairs and stomped his leg hard to the ground in what looked like a martial arts pose.
"SHISHI!"
Bright light gathered on the boy's fist, his ki arts activating. It was supposed to be a joke, but...
"SEN!"
The light condensed into a lion's head. It's quite sizeable, and he hope it'll reach downstairs.
"KOU!!"
Ki arts is a joke item, it's just supposed to be a toy for kids to play with. Nondamaging, just pure, flashy ball of awesomeness for joke, but.... this is why Tetsu uses it. He can send signal downstairs as he heard Gryz reading the passages...
The light is white, hopefully enough to send his meaning to the team that he's asking them to CEASEFIRE. Even if it's not enough, He hopes that they're good enough to hold back attacking with full strength. Tetsu immediately climbed on Gryz after he read everything and grabbed the book. They need to haste. This meaningless battle must cease. There is no enemy, only their greed and this corruption.

It looked like Grys wanted a cease fire, meh it probably didn't matter much anyway. Tsukaimon didn't have many attacks available to him that would make a meaningful impact. The fireball didn't seem to make any notable impression, for instance. In honor of Gryz request, the tsukaimon shrugged and flew a little closer to the stairs implying that the fight didn't interest him anymore.

Leon was baffled by the fact that his full frontal attack didn’t seem to cause any damage to the Minotarumon. To top it all off it appeared that the behemoth was being powered up by some technique that the Grumblemon had concocted. Then out of the corner of his eyes he would notice an energy sphere that was coming from above them. The lion was curious as to what the flare was intended for. At least that was until he saw the Tsukaimon begin to fly towards the stairwell. The lion then knew that this was a flare telling the group that it was time to pull out, but why? The fire lion then flew to the stair well, and dedigivolved back to his rookie stage, and began walking up the stairs cautiously looking back at the duo of digimon below them.
The lion then looked up at the bat like creature, and would question; “Why exactly are we leaving the fight what was that signal meant for?” He would question as he slowly continued his way up the stairs. He finally made his way to the top of the stairs, and began to walk around finding a spot where he would better be able to react in case the two digimon decided to pursue them.

In Gaia's Chamber
The book would tell Gryz the story about the Goblimon and Ogremon and their expedition. (Refer to the post given to Mana above for the full details).
In the Corrupted Core chamber
The intensity of the strikes made Minotaurmon and Grumblemon conclude that Kan was the biggest threat here. However, they (or at least the entity controlling them) came to the conclusion that just maybe... they could not defeat him? At least directly.
The strange spirit digimon seemed to be able to deflect most of the strikes from the brimstone gun. However, the rocks embedded themselves in the walls around them, still glowing. And they would have a part to play soon enough.
Furthermore, the spirit digimon then sent an onslaught of bones at them. Grumblemon's red eyes narrowed, and once again, he raised his hammer, this time glowing green.
"Gaia Fortify!" he snarled, and at once, a green aura surrounded Minotaurmon, blending with his existing yellow. This time, he seemed to stand more firmly, no longer being reactive and staggering to the blows dealt to him.
Such was this power that he could even protect Grumblemon from five of the bones that were launched at him as they were weakened through the corrupted barrier. One managed to get through and hit Grumblemon, only because Minotaurmon's gun couldn't be in two places at once, but otherwise, it was swinging around so fast and beating away the bones that it was just a blur.
The seventh one, and the most powerful, however, was aimed at the centre of his gunmetal arm. He gave a snort and a grunt of pain as it embedded itself there.
The Ikkakumon meanwhile went on the defensive, while a call from the stairs seemed to make the Tsukaimon and Firamon back down.
And so, Minotaurmon glared at the spirit user. his injured gunmetal arm lowered. However, he was doing it for a purpose. The black misty data on the floor began to spiral upwards, surrounding the bone, then, all at once, made it disintegrate into dust. There would be no lingering effect from this attack, at least, as long as Minotaurmon has the corrupted earth supporting him.
Then, with the bone gone, Minotaurmon slammed his arm on the ground once more.
"Darkside Quake!"
Then at once, the entire room would begin to shake and tremble. Those in contact with the ground would stagger and fall from the shockwaves. While the data of the earth would prevent total collapse, it would shake the entire room, dust falling from the ceiling.
And the pieces of the Brimstone Gunner that had been launched? Black data surrounded them as they were shaken down onto the floor. And then, rising from it, were 3 Gotsumon, made of black obsidian, similar to those encountered before. Only this time, two of them joined hands, their data fusing into one, forming a towering black monstrous Golemon.
It seemed that Minotaurmon, or more accurately, the corrupted core, had summoned reinforcements.
Corrupted Firewall and Corrupted Earth are still active.
Minotaurmon and Grumblemon are hit by The Seven (reduced in power by 75% by the Corrupted Firewall). Minotaurmon deflects 5. Grumblemon is hit by 1, Minotaurmon is hit by 1.
Grumblemon:

Passive Ability 2: ?
Grumblemon uses Gaia Fortify on Minotaurmon.

Active effect: Anger of the Land [2 turns remaining]. Gaia Fortify [2 turns remaining].
Minotaurmon uses Darkside Quake on Kan, Ikkakumon and Tsukaimon (misses Leon since he has climbed up the stairs).
Darkside Quake - Slams his Demon Arm into the ground below, causing it to shake and buckle. An area-of-effect attack that will knock down anyone currently in contact with the floor, dealing damage. [Cooldown: 1 Post]
Anger of the Land increases its power by 50%. Corrupted Firewall reduces its strength.
Core of Corruption summons 2 Obsidian monsters to battle: 1 Golemon and 1 Gotsumon. They have not yet made a move. [Cooldown: 7 turns]

The two began their journey down... all in Tetsu's mind is to wonder if he already did whatever he could? He wanted to help but that's when suddenly the ground shook. Not caring about the Lynxmon that gone up thanks to adrenaline pumping in their system, the two forced to run anyway---wrong move. The ground shook and Gryz suddenly...
"Woah woah woa--ABYAA!?"
It was a disaster. The big grizzly Digimon rolling down the staircase with his human now running on the top of that furball.
"GYAAA----!!"
It continued for a while. Poor Gryz felt every single of the staircase's edge on his body while Tetsu tried his best to keep himself balanced on the top of the furball. Had it been a circus then it would be funny as hell, but the fact that they'e in perilous situation made it even worse. On the bottom of the floor, the furball that is Gryz bounced spectacularly on the floor, rising to the ceiling while Tetsu fallen on his buttock near his jogress partner.
"ITAAAAA----!" the boy accentuated his pain with a shout. "OH GOD, THAT HURTS! G-guys... stop the battle, those Digimons," he pointed at the Minotaurmon and Grottemon "are corrupted Digimons! They're somehow corrupted by the orb and is now serving it! There's no need to fight we ca--"
At that moment, in a splendid parabola, Gryz managed to launch himself (unwillingly) to the newly summoned Golemmon.
...Whether it's hit or not, he's definitely stunned, his eyes spinning and his body all hurting.
"... we can purify them!" Tetsu finally continued, deciding to ignore whatever happened.
GRYZ Literally cannonballed at Golemmon Is stunned due to crazy accident Takes damage from the stairs (and if hit, the collision with the Golemmon)
