"I do know that if he were to buy it, it'd take forever to get used to..."
She had to admit, and quite plainly she wondered why she never bothered asking hima bout it. It was something she'd have to consider, maybe bring up to him? Unless he was being quiet about purchasing it to perhaps surprise her one day? It could be the case. Who knew.
She didn't notice that Alexa had rushed over when she seemed "sick" in fact it was hard to notice anything compared to all the sensations that were running through her body as it changed so quickly.
She sat there quietly; staring down at her hands. Gently running one of them through her fur, the other turning over time and time again. She'd huff softly, checking herself over for a few minutes; her ears flicking to and fro. She'd consider what had happened before and what had led up to the headaches.. Along with other things. More memories unbidden were in her head, they made so little sense with how jumbled they were. She'd have to make sense of them some time.
Then Alexa asked a question; she'd hesitate and run a hand along her arm. Noting that the bandages that had been on her arms to hide the burns were gone. Along with the burns themselves. Were she to de-digivolve... Would they be there again? Or perhaps this ultimate form had a way of dealing with it.
"....Like a patchwork of needles put me back together, I think... I think I'm alot older than I thought I was. It's really hazy. But the inn? It has been there much longer than a digital decade..."

"Well, your body is kind of similar to your Renamon form. Humanoid animal type and all that," Alexa said, noticing K studying her new body. She wanted to touch the blue fur - it looked so nice, but she was polite enough to not try it.
"It's... it's older?" Alexa wondered what that meant. It seemed like K was remembering things. "Do you want to talk about it?" Alexa knew talking things out could be helpful, though there was the chance of a painful memory, and that could be discomforting.
There was a ring at the doorbell. It seemed the food was here. Interesting timing.
"I'll get it," Alexa said, rising up and giving K and apologetic look. She left for a moment. When she came back, she pulled out a table and put everyone's food and drink down. It smelled good.
Data was surprisingly good with chopsticks, considering he was practically using his feet to eat. Alexa couldn't help but stare at this phenomenon of Data eating his noodles. Alexa wondered if Data would have similar difficulties when he evolved. He seemed to remember most of his past, though.

"Kind of.. It feels much stronger.. Much more graceful. Powerful. Like.. I could do anything? It's wierd."
She kept turning over her hands, running them through her fur still. It felt strange; absolutely. There was so much she couldn't explain; so much she didn't understand. It was frustrating. Then Alexa spoke, more a question than anything you could consider being redundant.
"...Ancient by standards of what wood should have. I thought it was only a decade old. But my memories put it long before the town was there, long before the road crossed through it and older than the forest that is growing there now."
Shaky hands came up to her head and she'd hold her head in them for a few long moments. She flinched when the doorbell rang, feeling somewhat on edge.
"....I never saved up for it, I built it with my own hands... No one helped me like I remember, they feel like false memories now. But it's wierd, I don't remember myself like a renamon. I remember myself as a shutmon instead. It feels right."
She'd pause and look down at herself.
"Is that what this form is called... Feels strange to say it. Shutmon... Hmm."
K carefully picked out her udon, looking at it curiously. She looked between data and Alexa for a few moments before furrowing her brow.
"How long have the two of you been partners?"

Stronger and powerful felt like good descriptors for a higher evolution, as much as Alexa actually knew about them, at least. At least she didn't get weaker. And Alexa was very thankful K didn't evolve into something the size of the room - though the poor thing still was tall and was probably a little cramped in the apartment. Alexa just hoped they could get K out the door.
Alexa wondered how old the Inn was in human terms. As she understood it, time went much faster in the digital world. Still, it seemed an impressive feat, having an Inn standing for so long.
Alexa hoped it would be okay to put a hand on K's shoulder, as a supportive gesture. "That's very cool. I mean, um." Figuring out comforting words was a bit difficult. "Well, I'm glad it feels right. How's your head feeling?"
Shutmon. Interesting. Data had never seen one before. But he could tell it was powerful.
"We've only been partners since this morning," Alexa admitted. It felt a bit silly, but the cliche that they felt like they knew each other longer was kind of true.

K gingerly started to eat the udon that Alexa was kind enough to buy for her. She was looking really pensive and there wasn't much that she could do about that. There was so much on her mind at this moment she wasn't expecting the human to put a hand on her shoulder, it made her flinch visibly. Obviously not expecting someone to touch her. Maybe she just wasn't used to it at all? Or perhaps it was just how little she really truly interacted with people.
"Is it? I just.. Feel like I have so many questions only time will answer."
She'd pause and consider something, looking down at her hands. Gingerly goign about eating some more of the noodles.
"..Clear. Strangely. But there are the memories there i don't understand."
She'd admit plainly; looking a little saddened by the fact. There was so much that she simply didn't know. In fact there were large, if not incredibly huge gaps in her memory she could only add up as... Well. Maybe future digivolutions held the key to things? She would only know by getting there. Becoming stronger had another purpose she supposed.
"That's... Surprising. With how the two of you act, would explain Data's reaction to coming inside..."
A small pause and she'd look down, her expression growing serious.
"I have met a few tamers; Each of them on different stages of their journeys. But undoubtedly powerful; they all were friendly. Were you to find any of them, you'd no doubt have staunch allies for any endevour."

Oh dear. Alexa hoped she didn't upset the digimon. It was just something she'd seen other people do to help others in times of stress. But the digimon didn't seem to shove her off or anything, so she took that as a good sign.
Alexa didn't know how to respond to the comment on time. It was true, though. Things did come in time. Sometimes time was the only answer. Okay, enough philosophical stuff.
"I'm sorry it's all a jumble right now. I hope things will get better in time," Alexa said, trying to comfort K as the digimon looked sadder than before. "Oh. well. We just get along I guess." Alexa felt very lucky she and Data got along so well. So far, it seemed it was a mixed bag if digimon and their tamers would be in sync. She hoped Data felt similarly. But it was their first day together. Things could change.
"We have met a few tamers we'd call allies actually. And if you don't mind, you can definitely consider us allies in the future, K" Data said, matching the serious tone in between slurping up noodles.
Alexa moved away from K to give the digimon some space and also, admittedly, to eat some of her own ramen. She looked into the broth. Her own reflection stared back. She wondered what it would be like to lose her memories. And just like that, before she could stop it, the question came out.
"Do you want to remember the past?"

K frowned a little bit but kept on eating; she shouldn't let her body go to waste just because she was technically in a rough patch now. She'd exhale slowly and look down at her food; smiling just a little bit.
"They will. That's just.. How things work really."
She'd sigh softly and flick her ears just a tad; so these two somewhat got along? Well that was better than not getting along at all; she could only guess how she would get along with a tamer herself. She was a digimon that didn't need a human at this point it seemed... Moot.
"That's good that you have met a few already."
K would pause and feel her cheeks flush after a few moments; it was surprising to her that they would say something like that.
"....I wouldn't mind at all. It'd.. be very nice."
She finished lamely; she wasn't sure what else to say to that. How would you reply to someone who told you they'd like to be considered allies in the future? Turn them down. She thought about it after a few long moments.
".....Allies help one another, We have done so. So we are already allies. Plain and simple no?"
She kept eating the noodles, finding that they tasted delicious. She simply didn't know what to say to it, but it was obvious she enjoyed it. With how fast she was already done with it. The last question made her pause, she looked into the empty container that had held the noodles.
"....I'm afraid if I remember. I'll forget who I was before this. A renamon that helped travelers on the midway."
A hand came up to her head and she'd exhale softly.
"Because how I remember things as it stands, I.... Was not that. I'm something else, something. Much more violent. But it's hard to explain. But I can say I want to know more, maybe in the end I can choose what I want to be."
There was another pause and she'd run a claw along one of her wrist blades.
"I am mostly worried that if I remember, peace will not be an option for me."

Alexa stopped eating and looked over at K. Maybe she shouldn't have asked that question. Well, maybe it was helpful to K to get these thoughts out. Alexa hoped it was the latter.
"You're right, I guess we already are allies. That makes things easier," Data said.
"I mean, I don't have experience with what you're going through, but I imagine you can still be that helpful Renamon with your memories intact. Just with a bit more sense of the past." Alexa was having a hard time coming up with the right words, but she hoped she managed to say something decent.
"On the other hand, sometimes we have to fight," Data said. It was true he'd preferred if the digital world were peaceful all the time, but that was no the reality. "Even if your life becomes one of bloodshed, you can still be a good person, helping those who can't defend themselves."
Alexa wondered about that. Up until now, shed had a purely peaceful life. She knew now, as a tamer, it was her destiny to fight evil. It felt wrong somehow, but she knew it was for the greater good.

K's frustration was palatable, and she was glad that she was eating something. It helped her overlook some things she didn't want to think about. She'd flick her ears and shake her head just a little bit.
"At the very least yeah?"
She'd snort softly and look down at her empty bowl, wondering quietly to herself if what Alexa said was possible. At this point she was a helpful ultimate now, there was steps to take to make it so that she wouldn't be overbearing. Steps she had to take to make sure that people were simply safe and that required self control.
"More sense of past, and more sense of self I guess. Have to be careful with what I've been given, I imagine things are going to feel like they're made of Numemon's or something."
She'd snort softly and glance at data. She knew that, she knew that something fierce. She had participated in a war after all as well as other smaller skirmishes while she was still living in the north.
"That is true. I know that I can't just sit idly by anymore either. As you saw earlier, I feel inclined to act."
She'd grip the container tightly for a moment before putting it down on her lap. She thought about something briefly; a slow frown crossing her lips.
"....What do you want to do Alexa? Data? You started today, but you have so much that you could do."

Poor K. She was going through so much. And here Alexa and Data just awkwardly pawed at their food, unsure how to help. Data pawing more than Alexa. He was hungry, it happens.
"Made of... Numemon?" Alexa asked. She looked over to Data.
"Slude-like digimon. Not pleasant," Data explained. Alexa nodded. Sounded pretty gross. "And I'm glad you acted, again. But yeah, it has to be what you want. Though you would look pretty cool, stalking the skyline in that form, a vigilante of justice," Data said. It was obvious in the far away look in his eyes he was imagining this super hero fantasy right now.
K's question took Alexa by surprise. She remembered how earlier in the day she'd almost - well actually, completely - broken down at the thought of having to fight. Of possibly losing Data. She shivered a bit.
"I'm not sure. It seems like there is a lot I can do, but a lot of it's dangerous. I don't want to put myself and DAta in danger," Alexa answer.
Data put his food down and looked over his tamer. "Sometimes we need to face danger to help others. Justice isn't easy work."
"But do we have to fight for justice? Can't we just live in peace?" Alexa asked. Data frowned. There was suddenly a sharp tension in the air.
"Of course we have to fight for justice, that's what I was put on this earth for! And you're my tamer, so you're involved in it whether you like it or not," Data said, raising his voice. He was sometimes a bit too blunt.
"But Data, I never signed up for this..."

"They ussualy can be found in highly populated digital zones or wastes."
There was a considerable pause and K looked down at her hands, thoughtfully flickign her ears back and forth as data spoke.
"...It felt right. I think I might have to do that more often, helping out and doing what I can. Might help me remember more."
She mused a rather dangerous light in her eyes. She ran a clawed finger alone one of the forearm mounted blades. she grit her teeth and closed her eyes; thoughtfully running through the sensations of what she had felt when she saw data and Alexa in trouble.
It was immediately replaced by a memory of something quite simular to what she had done earlier.. But in a forest. Against those...
She'd stiffen a bit and open her eyes and look between the two of them as they spoke to one another. That tension rose and she felt that it was somewhat her fault.
"Living for peace is good, fighting for justice is good. But you need to know when each are the right thing to do. Patience for both but willing to do either."
She'd point at data with a finger.
"Without her you are unable to do much-
She'd point with her other hand to Alexa.
"But without him you won't be safe. There would not be peace for you Not all digimon are like me, and not all are like the gotsumon."
She'd pause and sigh, shaking her head again.
"Some are so much worse, they would go until he is dust and you a paste. You may not of signed up for this Alexa but the digital world doesn't choose it's human's unwisely, it chose you for a reason. What reason you give to it is your own to make. As for why it gave you data? Is the same reason why it chose you."
K would stand up, glancing at the balconey, a small frown on her face.
"And I have a bad feeling that if you chose peace above justice, you might be in more danger than anyone else."

Alexa wanted to tell K she'd support her. That continuing to help others was a good mission, and would surely result in something good for K. But she was preoccupied with her partner and their inability to see eye to eye on the future.
She felt a bit like a guilty school girl after K pointed at her. What was she doing, bickering with Data in front of a guest? Or bickering with Data at all? K was right. Not only would she be defenseless, but she'd not have met all these great people and gotten opportunities to visit another world and have adventures. Sure, it came at a price, but maybe it was worth it.
"So we need to be able to do both. Try to strive for peace but accept that sometimes you have to fight for what is right," Alexa concluded.
Data looked over to his tamer. He'd been on his own so long. It did feel nice to finally have a partner in crime, or rather, justice. And he obviously wasn't powerful enough on his own, or else he'd never have been turned into a digiegg. He did need Alexa.
Alexa wondered again why she was chosen for this. She was just a normal school girl, no skills that she could see herself bringing to the digital world. But K was right. She was right a lot lately. Alexa was now a tamer, and that meant she had to accept the responsibly that came with it.
That last part though.... "What do you mean by that?" Alexa asked.

"Exactly. One cannot exist without the other."
She'd grumble a bit and shake her head slightly. She felt strange telling these two this; in fact was it her place to do something like it? No. No it wasn't but... Some people needed help to understand things.
She could tell that these two were honestly on the first part of their journey now; maybe it was for the best that they met her so early and had something like this happen? it'd shape them quite well to say the least, they'd do the right things from this. They'd know what to do later because of this.
Then Alexa asked what she meant by the last thing she had said. K looked down at her hands and clenched them; the frown coming back and it stayed for a few long moments.
"Staying on the sidelines are not an option, being just the silent peaceful person is not an option. You need to do things in order to have things be good. People will come for you regardless of you being ready or not. To protect yourself you have to take steps of your own, find friends, allies. Grow stronger. Peace is not something that gives you that; it makes you complacent. Apathetic... Those that are used to fighting grow itchy, look for something to lash out at.. and they'd find an easy target in one that has chosen peace above all else."
She would exhale and go over to the balconey, looking out of the window that seperated her from it. Her tail was swishing thoughtfully and she'd cross her arms, looking rather pensive now.
"I chose peace. The digital world sent me here; sent me here as a reminder."
She'd exhale slowly and look back at the two of them.
"Violence is not always the answer, and justice isn't always about fighting. Find your place in it."

One cannot exist without the other. Like light and dark. Good and evil. And now, Alexa and Data. Alexa was meeting more and more interesting and wise people now that she was a tamer.
"I'm sorry Data. Just give me some time to get adjusted. It's a pretty big change, being a tamer. But I hope I eventually become someone you can be proud to call your partner," Alexa told Data.
Data nodded and grinned. "Don't worry, kid. You're making me plenty proud already." Hopefully the two didn't gross out K too much with their saccharine stuff. Alexa turned back to K. More wise words. Alexa couldn't just let life slip by, doing nothing. She had to act. She had to help others.
"A reminder?" Data was the one who asked the question now. "What have you recovered about your past? If you don't mind me asking."
"Maybe talking it through will help? And this is a bit selfish, but it may help us come to a decision, too," Alexa said.

K kept her arms crossed, staring still out of the window. The city seemed peaceful to her, with it being night. People were still around, night life was still existing, but it made it feel like this city never slept while in terminus the days were just so busy and the nights never were.
The two behind her seemed to agree, or at least make up a bit. What else could she really say than that before? Justice and peace, like good and evil. Right and wrong ultimately. They didn't gross her out, just reminded her that she had to rely on herself along with any allies that she may have. She didn't have a tamer, or a twin or.. well. She wasn't a spirit helping a human either.
"I'm a fighter, A soldier. A warrior."
She'd let out a soft growl and shake her head slowly.
"But I'm also a healer, a helper. Things I knew before, but I didn't know the scale. It was a haze i didn't see through, but the digivolution cut through it like a knife. But there's more I don't know, there's so many halves or quarters.. Some things don't make any sense either, there's jumbles in here-"
She'd pat her head.
"-That are not of my own memories. Makes me wonder if i did something. Or something did something to me."
A small pause.
"I was big. Bigger than I am now, but i was also... Worse? I don't know. It's complicated."
She paused again and clenched her fists.
"There is a sickness I need to deal with too, and it's in the digital world. But that's just as hazy. I need to go further. Which can only come with time unfortunately."
