K's train ride to Terminus was beyond uneventful. The individuals that were on it were for the most part getting done with a vacation in whitewater; which she certainly found odd. There were many there that simply wanted to go home and not interact with most of the people train-side.
A few children inquired as to what the band meant and she'd carefully dodge the question. It wasn't hard to lie to the children saying ti was simply just something she's had for a long time or that it didn't hold much meaning.
Upon getting off of the train however she could feel some eyes on her. Noticeably it was some of the law enforcement that the digital world had; while others felt like shadier business partners. The former likely would rely on her if something transpired while the latter would avoid her.
She made her way through the streets of terminus, avoiding those that she felt like would react poorly to her arm and simply acknowledging those that greeted her with a small smile. It didn't take her long to get to the address that she was given.
However when she arrived at the location she paused and blinked owlishly. She wasn't expecting to come to a chapel, in fact she was highly expecting it to be some shoddy shop on the way side. Glancing around as she noticed a few people were hurrying by her, avoiding her gaze completely she'd push the doors open and take in the Chapel's interior.
It was somewhat run down sure, but there was love put into this place. She'd exhale slowly and find her eyes sliding across each of the four Sovereigns that were within the windows. Somewhere deep she felt this gentle pain of sadness mixed with a sense of duty. She'd sigh gently and close the doors behind her, walking forward before calling out. Her voice was somewhat shaky but she corrected herself with a cough; there wasn't much in the way of locale in the Chapel currently...

More than 'run-down', the chapel that K now stood in held an antique vibe. Old wooden boards would creak with each step, and both the walls and the ceiling showed signs of their age. It would almost feel like she had taken a step back in time, completely removed from the hustle and bustle of the city. Perhaps that was the intent: alone in the chapel, the Renamon would be left with her own thoughts, only the light from the stained glass and from her own band streaming through the room.
As K would call out, the tone in the room would change. Hanging lanterns on either side of the chapel would flicker, coming to life with a light blue flame, as a faint wind breezed down the center of the hall. "My, you seem like a tired one. Come on in; these doors are open for all who need it." A gentle, warm voice filled the chapel, and if the Renamon took a few steps forward, the owner of the voice would reveal himself:
The masked priest would seem to appear out of thin air, the Reppamon's mask facing the Renamon. Beneath, the exposed muzzle of the weasel gave a kind smile; behind, his tail gave a cautious flick, the eye of the scythe carefully observing the band on K's arm. Carefully, the Reppamon would take a step forward, before he would sit tall in front of his guest.
"Hm..." He mused. "It appears as though you have come to this place for a reason. I am Guru. I welcome you, and all who come to speak of their troubles." And it was clear, at least to Guru, that K seemed troubled in one way or another. "And to what do I owe the pleasure of welcoming Jesmon's blessed?"

When the tone in the room changed K would shift nervously; she had a rough couple days and certainly wasn't looking forward to many surprises of course. She had her hands full with the last few that were given to her after all! Though when the voice spoke and invited her in for the most part she'd come in further blinking owlishly when the Reppamon materialized out of no where.
Though she did bet that the priest had a door they came out of or the ilk that she simply hadn't seen. She'd bow her head with respect of course when the other looked her over. She could sense some hesitance, perhaps worry? The symbol on her arms garnering attention of course.
"A pleasure to Meet you Guru, I am K. I was told by a good friend of mine that you would be able to help me."
There was a small awkward moment of course when the other also included that she was blessed by Jesmon. She'd shake her head softly and glance around; glad that no one was about other than this priest.
"I unfortunately am not blessed by any Jesmon and have an issue of my own regarding the sigil itself and what it means for me. It requires a little explaining but I came here to get a choice sorted out. One that I need to make."
She looked a little nervous and scratched her head uncertain where to begin...

In Guru's case, the priest simply stopped hiding his presence to appear before the Renamon. His kind often had the power to vanish from sight or slip into the shadows. The Reppamon may have frightened a few, but there was a method to Guru's actions.
Right now, though, the priest would simply listen from behind his mask. The tail, holding a more tense and potentially irate personality, flicked away as the Renamon mentioned she had an 'issue' with the sigil. "Hm? My apologies, my assumption got the best of me. Those who have been marked by a knight in a way such as yours are generally a special sort... perhaps that will remain the same for you."
It sounded like the Reppamon was simply musing out loud, and as the Renamon mentioned that she had quite a bit to explain, the masked weasel gave a nod. "A good friend... and one whose aware of my talents? What a small world we live in." But he got her point well enough - tapping his tail once against the ground, the doors of the chapel would slowly swing shut, a light 'click' audible behind her.
With that, he'd give a nod. "Now, K, take a moment to relax, and as much time as you need to gather your thoughts. Not a single secret of yours will ever leave my lips." His voice sounded warm and sincere, fitting for one of his stature. "What's on your mind?"

She was unsure if the flicking of that tail indicated that he was bothered by the way that K tried to dismiss the sigil. IT didn't mean she was special so much as she had a powerful being inside of her. Well.. One of three powerful beings who thought it wise to do such a thing. Perhaps this was their form of protecting her?
"It's all right, I've been dodging looks all day. It's nice to be able to actually say that to someone..."
She'd sigh softly and rub her muzzle.
"...I suppose that does remain true even if it wasn't by the same manner you would expect."
She'd dip her head in a nod once more when he seemed to inquire about the good friend; or seemed curious at the very least. He was right on that half though; it was a very small world in comparison to what you would expect.
"A practitioner of medical affairs, A mikemon. He's in whitewater if that's any help."
K turned when the doors closed shut of their own accord. The click indicating that they were locked. Just how much control of the surroundings did this Reppamon have of this chapel? She wasn't sure she truly wanted the answer to that specifically.
The renamon ran a hand through her fur and exhaled slowly, gently patting where the sigil was in thought. The fact that they told her that nothing she said would leave their lips was very reassuring. So take a few moments to collect her thoughts she did.
And of course. She started the best way that she knew how. Right at the start.
"A few days ago my town was attacked, Ransacked and destroyed by forces still unknown to us. A friend was with me at the time of making this discovery and try as we may we didn't find any real clues alluding to the attackers. Upon finding anger in my breast, something more fierce than anything I've ever felt. I digivolved to a mega state. I remained in such a form for three days."
She'd exhale slowly and rub her muzzle.
"Mikemon. A friend of mine that had helped the town prior with some issues of spiders and such was merely passing in to check how things were going. Found the town and I. Lamenting in the wreckage of course. I spent...
She'd look down at her hands and clenched them into fists.
"I spent nearly a thousand digital years there. Undigized, peacefully. Undisturbed in such a way. It was my home and resonated deep. When I shared with Mikemon of what had happened, along with some personal venues. Such as migraines when I was digivolving they suggested a few things. But none of them added up. So they took a look at what amounted to my... 'core'."
There was another pause and she'd nervously fidget as she continued.
"He found that my form as a Shutmon was remarkably stable. That my core was antique and... That there were multiple things watching him. They even tried to hide from him. Of course he wanted to take a look at it back in whitewater. So whitewater we went."
She'd exhale slowly and rub her temples a bit; she could feel them watching her even now. It was odd. Only one seemed truly distant.
"Once settled in his office so to speak, he took a look back into the 'core'.... He saw three cores. A Green primary, a red and blue secondary. Found that they looped and He found one that spoke to him. It found that there was a consciousness there, one that didn't like the idea of him peeking. It asked him questions that he was able to answer in such a fashion that dictated a strange manner of responses..."
She sighed softly and shook her head.
"It told him of things, what hides in my breast. A Jesmon. A GraceNovamon and Examon. But it also told him of the looping issue. That the form I keep is not of my own, but of data bleed off from the loops. The gracenovamon had contained both Examon and Jesmon; because of troublemake. Seeing as they were both supermegas? well... I can only imagine the issues behind them."
She had to take a seat at this point.
"Eventually. He learned that if I am to attain that tier of strength, with it not being as far off as I hoped... I will cease to be. Each core will be released when I digivolve and I'll just vanish. However if I can absorb a suitably strong enough core? One that matches their strength as the Gracenovamon had indicated the loop will end with one of the three absorbing the other two."
She'd turn her hands over and shake her head.
"So here I am; desiring to talk with each. Decide which of the three that I should choose. Jesmon? Gracenovamon? Or Examon? I can't make this choice half baked. If I do, I'll cease to be in the worst possible way... There's also the option of introducing a Free element core.. But we don't know what will transpire if that's the case. It might make the relationship they have stable and permanent but... it could also throw the strength out of whack even more so."

Unfortunately, this wasn't the first time that Reppamon's tail got the wrong tone across. Sensing K's slight discomfort, the Reppamon briefly turned to face the blade, his gaze meeting the the crimson eye. The tail itself gave a slight glare back, before ultimately resting flat behind the weasel.
Ultimately, he left it at that, turning his attention back to the Renamon. It was about at this point that K brought up her specific reference: 'Doctor Mikemon'. "Oh, yes, the one with the red crystal? He's a good sort, even if he and I don't see eye to eye in our methods." What did that mean, that the doctor even referred her out this far? It more or less confirmed that K was, indeed, a 'special case'.
Soon enough, the two were separated from the sounds of the city, allowing K to gather her thoughts with more ease. In truth, there wasn't a single mechanism in the walls at all - Guru commanded the wind and his own spiritual energy, and his tail had a hold over the shadows. Combined, and with careful control, he could maneuver this chapel with ease, without even changing his expression.
That thought was soon far away, as K finally started her story. As the Renamon spoke, she'd find that the Reppamon was quite the listener. He was patient and attentive, his tail occasionally giving a flick and a glance at the more poignant parts of her story. He remained respectively silent, not wanting K to lose her train of thought nor muddy his initial perception of the words, though that didn't mean there was no reaction.
After all, these past few days seemed absolutely dreadful for K. She lost not only her home, but her entire town, overtaken by her own anger. Slowly, the Reppamon lowered his head, as if in reverence for what was lost, but his attention would quickly perk up at her anger. Three days, simply letting that hate fester, until the doctor finally managed to calm her down. But...
A thousand years? The Reppamon's lips parted in a light display of surprise, the tail flicking up at attention. She'd stayed alive for so long, but had felt her mind and body change so recently. He paid attention to her description of the diagnosis - both at her inn, and in Whitewater...
... And it would soon come to the crux. The Renamon standing before him did not have her own core, but was the 'average' of three cores in her depths. Taking this information in hand, the Reppamon gained a thoughtful tone, closing his eyes under the mask to try and piece their reasoning together. If one side 'won', balance would be returned and K could continue to exist. If her condition remained as it was, she'd cease to exist upon reaching her highest tier of strength.
As K reached the end of her story, Guru took a few moments to collect his thoughts. "Jesmon and Examon... both Royal Knights of legend. And the cores of their past echoes live on in you. It makes sense why the doctor referred you to me." His voice still had that kind tone, a smile finally returning to his face. "I can certainly put you on the right path, but it will be on you to make your way to find the three of them. Come along."
Guru motioned for K to follow briefly, before asking her to wait just in front of the altar. Briefly, the Reppamon would make his way to the back, returning with two dusty, fine mats. One was set up on the left, and one on the right, the Reppamon taking a seat on the latter mat.
"Take a seat," Guru instructed, "And clear your mind of as much thought as you can." Slowly, the weasel raised his front-right paw, an azure glow strongly pulsing around it. "When you are ready, take your hand into my own."
And if she did, well...
... K would find herself, for a moment or two, simply floating in a white expanse before everything simply turned black. Eventually, she'd feel a firm, warm soil beneath her paws, and if she'd pry herself up, the Renamon would find herself in the clearing of a bizarre forest. Looking straight up, she'd see a clear night sky, shooting stars occasionally streaming overhead. If she looked to her arm, the sigil was nowhere to be found.
The clearing was a bare circle of dirt, and the Renamon would be sitting on one side of it, facing the Reppamon. Surrounding the circle is what seemed to be a nearly impassible wall of trees, with thorny bushes and thick brush blocking the way. Behind the Reppamon was a single trail, expanding outwards in a dark, winding path.
Should K look behind herself, she'd see the same. Though, somehow, the 'feel' of that second path would seem far more intimidating, a definite pressure tingling at the edge of her fur.
"Welcome." The Reppamon would address K as she wakes. "Please, take a moment to acclimate. This place represents our psyche." He would briefly add: "Where we stand now represents the 'selves' we choose to show each-other, and show the world. And behind me," the Reppamon glanced over his shoulder, "Is everything else about me. My every virtue and vice, every fear and value, exist somewhere in those winding woods. And, naturally..."
The Reppamon nodded towards the Renamon's own path. "That, is yours."

"Their strength is something to behold I've been told; but at the same time I don't.. Know why they'd truly be held in such a manner."
K would sigh and rub her temples; thinking something over for a few moments before blinking when the other said he could put her on the right path. she looked rather relieved and hopped up when he motioned for her to follow.
"All right..."
Following after the Reppamon; K would make certain to take in where they went for the most part. It wasn't a huge chapel from what she could tell.. If it was? It was hidden away somehow; or just out of reach so to speak. Which wouldn't be a bad idea honestly.
She'd dip her head in a nod and took a seat; She had to clear her mind? Even with all the turmoil and such that she had dealt with? It'd be difficult of course but after a few minutes of her sitting there. She'd reach out quietly and take the hand.
There it is, the nothingness that I will become if I fail. A bleak expanse of white or black. Unless.. I won't even know."
When her feet found soil she'd blink owlishly and look around, taking in everything she could. she would gingerly run her hand along the ground. Unsure as to why they were here in such a manner. Perhaps this was the way of looking within that this reppamon decided upon? She wasn't sure honestly. The circle of dirt was strange, the trails were strange... the impassible wall of trees... And of course the reppamon.
When her eyes lay on the path behind her she shuddered and shifted; rubbing either of her upper arms. She'd give a small smile and shiver just a bit once again. It was strange as she had never been... inside of her own Psyche.
"...It's strange to say the least.. Doesn't feel...."
She'd look down at her hands after a moment, once she was done rubbing her arms of course.
"It doesn't feel like how I expected it. I honestly don't know what I expected but it wasn't this."
She'd gingerly stand up; looking back towards the path that was 'hers'.
"....It's.. very interesting though. So down this path is where.. they lay? Or.. Do whatever they do?"
She'd rub her muzzle nervously; her eyes widening a bit. She wasn't sure what to do at this junction....
"I suppose going down that path is a must? If I am to find the answers I see?"

This Renamon was quite the intuitive one, Guru noted. The reactions that Guru had from patrons brought to their own psyche were quite varied. Some where panicked, some awestruck, and others were reverent. K fit a different bill altogether: she seemed nervous but resolute, as if she was ready to simply stride right in and meet the three cores that lied within.
But it would hardly be that simple: "Down the path itself is the destination our mind seeks. Should we traverse all the way to the end of this path, we may find the answers you seek. But I must urge you to take caution: along the way, we will see the deepest parts of your mind. Aspects of yourself you've long denied will be on display. And considering your recent experiences, well..."
The Reppamon left it at that. This wasn't a trek that she would take alone, however: as K turned to face her path, Guru stepped up right alongside her. Starting down that winding path, the very clearing they came through would soon be shrouded in the shadows of the forest.
But it seemed that the woods were not a consistent theme of this place. Past the clearing, the dirt path turned to cobblestone, and should K take a look over her shoulder, she'd see the small, dense woods that they had just come from. Rather than a forest, the Renamon's mind took that of an expansive hilly field. Not much was in sight, initially, but the path would soon come around a bend.
And, cruelly, K would find something that stuck heavily on the forefront of her mind. There, just off the path, was her inn. From the outside, it seemed exactly as she remembered it: that simple wooden structure, that sign above the doorstop, even that bell that rang when someone opened the door. Just past the windows, though, a raging fire roared on, the inferno tearing through every inch of the abode. That would have been enough by itself...
... But, besides that, several visages surrounded the place. One, a CresGarurumon, roared out in anger, tearing through the dirt below. Another, a Shutmon, gave a chuckle in K's voice: "Is that it? This town didn't want me, anyway...". A third, a Renamon, sit on the porch, her arms wrapped around her knees, her head buried into her fur. And, inside, another fox wiped over the counter, blissfully ignorant of the flames wrapping around the entire building.
So long as they looked, the fire didn't gain any progress. The inn burned, and ash blew through the air, but the building itself remained as K last remembered it. At this image, the Reppamon gave a sigh. "Anger, denial, despair... a heart in disarray is never a pretty sight." Despite the wording, there was nothing offhand about the Reppamon's tone, a true weight held to every word. "Each and every one of them here has the potential to be 'you'. Maybe you've even worn their masks already."

K stared down the path for a moment before sizing it up and exhaling softly. The reppamon had a point there. If they were truly in her mind.. Well.. she wasn't going to enjoy some portions that much is for certain.
She didn't know what to say to the reppamon when he spoke of the path, the destinations.. the answers and the caution. She was ready for most of it, but she wasn't sure how she would handle the aspects of herself... What would she find? She never would find out unless she went down it.
The intial travel wasn't so bad, the dense wood behind them and... well. the expanse of hills that they got to fairly quickly. However what she saw past that? Made the renamon flinch visibly, she'd shake her head sadly staring at the Inn.
There was the fire, there it was standing on it's own.... Then there was the visages that surrounded it. The CresGarurumon. Her anger incarnate. Or at least what she had evolved into. It was angry, it hurt to think about. How long she spent in such a form bleeding out her frustrations at the land itself.
Then there was the shutmon, scoffing and chuckling at the inn burning. Claiming that the town didn't want her. She often had thought that, she never knew if it was true. She would like to think that it wasn't.
The third... well she could tell it was related to the sadness she felt about the whole ordeal. The skew of emotions that was in her heart.. were well represented. even the one that was within, wiping down the counter and simply ignorant. she'd stare blankly at the four and slowly shake her head.
"Anger. Denial or perhaps spite? Sadness. Ignorance. Each one of these were me; Are me. Bits and pieces. It's strange to see them laid out in such a fashion. But..."
She'd gesture at the four.
"None and all of these are me; I think in some odd way they're a bit more extreme than what I imagined happening..."

It was never easy to look at your inner self.
Through all of Guru's treks into the mind, this fact held true more often than not. Inside this space, one would be forced to witness themselves without filter, and be confronted with every heartache head-on. And so, as K looked over those four renditions of herself amidst that blazing inn, the Reppamon carefully observed the Renamon's reaction. It was true that she felt uncomfortable, and perhaps even hurt by the sudden vision, but the innkeeper managed to compose herself. She didn't deny these aspects of herself, but then again, how could she? These were all feelings that were recently on the forefront of her mind.
"They are you," the Reppamon corrected. "They are parts of yourself without filter or distracting, openly expressing what they want to express. And as they are so close to the front, each of their mutterings has an impact on your mind. That being said..."
The priest glanced at her, and gave a nod. "You have quite the level head. I've seen representations of anger turn aggressive against their own host, or thoughts of greed and desire try and pull travelers far off the path. I feel," the Reppamon paused, "That your true challenge will come when you meet those thoughts that are not your own. For now, I suggest we don't linger long." And when the Renamon was ready, the two would make their way down the path...
... Though, that wasn't to say that every figment in K's mind would be a passive one. Just as they would make their way around another bend, the path would seem quite clear for a bit. But just a few yards beyond, another Renamon would follow in-step, just slightly behind K. And whether or not K would notice, she would speak up:
"Why did you stay there so long, anyway?" Her voice was curious, but also just a bit cutting! "All those years in the inn, wasting away... wondering what was out there but never bothering to look! How could you just sit around in that same, dingy village your whole life?"

K knew that each one of these represented her in some odd way, she knew that at the end of the day they could be the extremes that could of been her in absolution. But as each extreme was presented she was given the brief thought that none and all were her. She was lucky and found somewhere in the middle of them.
She'd turn her hands over again and again, snorting softly.
"Thoughts of the sort had always been there, it's not a surprise to see them here but in full force. Well.. it IS a surprise but it's one I can deal with."
She'd turn to look at the reppamon rubbing the back of her head.
"I try. having some time to cope, and time to reflect is important. While I haven't had much to say the least.. well. I think they know I'm trying to move forward. Or perhaps they too are worried for the future?"
She'd shrug and look from each of them again, turning to leave once she had considered each position in full. She wouldn't be any one of them; She couldn't return to the inn. She couldn't become an angry mess again, she wouldn't wallow in self pity or in Ignorance.
It wasn't hard for K to notice that they were being followed; it was her mind after all and she'd tut softly when she was asked these questions.
"You know the answer Dear. I was content, until adventure got up and smacked me in the face. Action doesn't always come from within; sometimes things have to happen to spark change."
She'd wag her finger at the other renamon.
"Dingy village or no. It was our home. I doubt we'll find another any time soon."
With her piece spent she continued forward. Rubbing her muzzle thoughtfully.
"When the inn was built, there wasn't a town there. There wasn't any village or any other people. It slowly cropped up around the inn. The people there grew on me and I grew on them. Being content can be a trap, but it can also be..."
She'd pause and consider something.
"All you need."

"I guess its not every day you see them face to face?" With a small smile, the Reppamon would give a nod to her next point. "If you are certain, they know. After all, as much as they are part of you, you are a part of them as well."
To be honest, it had been a long time since the Reppamon had visited a 'level' mind. Even in the throes of agony, K found the strength to pull forward. And the one aspect that did come up to talk to her seemed more curious and frustrated than anything else, like one who had been told 'no' just a few too many times! Even as K gave her answer, the other Renamon gave a huff, even rolling her eyes as K wagged her finger.
"Well, I guess you're on the road now, so it doesn't really matter... but c'mon, its not like you couldn't have rolled back and said hi. You could have been anything, K: a doctor, a soldier, a medic! I'm not asking for much, K. But..."
With her own pause, she gave a chuckle: "When's the last time you just 'went for it'?" And with that, the fox would vanish, receding back into K's mind. To her plea, the Reppamon gave a shrug: "Mm? It almost sounded like she was trying to lecture you. Hard to tell if that was your spirit of adventure, or frustration at boredom. Still, its interesting to see such mild vices." His tone, once again, gave an earnest reply.
Overall, it didn't seem that K's mind was 'naturally' bothered by much. She just had the simple drives and fears that most had, and thus there path down the trail would be largely uneventful. But it wasn't just her own personification that would have been pressed onto this land: pressing further and further down the trail, at the bottom of what seemed to be the last hill, the two would come to an incredible sight:
The path led to a sheer cliff. The fields ended on a rocky outcropping, giving way to a deep, foggy expanse below, one that extended beyond the horizon. And as for the trail? Well, it did lead to a way forward: to a rickety old bridge, made of rope and wood planks, barely enough for the Renamon to walk across. A howling wind blew overhead, sheer silence filling this expanse of the mind.
Guru gave a thought, and spoke: "My... this is troubling. Tell me, K," Guru turned to the Renamon: "What does this represent? I can feel that your three spirits have nothing to do with this much, so far - I only sense your own mind's hand in this."

"You could say that I suppose. Then they should know. Which is likely why they are more.. Tame I guess?"
There was a brief shrug and she'd rub her ear. She had told this portion of her mind no quite a few times while she was running the inn. She had been content, but there was always that gnawing sensation that she never had done enough to deserve it or that she should do something else. It was often brought by others to her, so of course the idea itself would grow with time no?
"The last time I really went for it...?"
She'd consider something briefly and by the time she had an answer the other had vanished. She'd frown lightly and exhale softly.
"When the Inn was built I suppose. Amusing to think that..."
She'd gaze at the reppamon, running a hand through her fur before shrugging.
"There is doubt in our minds whenever we do something, Some part of us that wants to do something different. I would imagine it was a mild form of all three? Sitting around for too long.. well.. can have adverse effects."
She'd give him a small smile and look down at her hands.
"What else could I of needed when I had peace? I thought I had known war, I thought I had known adventure and travel. But rather than that it... well. Was a product of something else. Perhaps all my adventures were from the minds of those I know seek? It's quite a problem."
The rest of the way was fairly uneventful and plain; something that K didn't know if it was good or bad. However...
When they arrived at the rickety bridge, the howling winds that blew overhead... The deep expanse below K grew quiet and stared at it. The silence was unnerving and she'd run a hand along her arm a frown slowly coming onto her face once more. It was deep seated and she'd sigh; one of her hands coming to run over her muzzle.
"Behind us is the life I led, plain. Simple. Uneventful."
She'd gesture to the bridge and even step closer to it. Placing a hand to the support of the bridge; though she wouldn't step on it quite yet.
"This is what I am at now. A long. Difficult path; a single mistake here and I lose everything it means to be me. Below this path lay what awaits me if I fail, but on the other side.... Likely lay where the others wait."
There was a momentary pause and she'd growl.
"But. As dangerous as this path is, I must walk it. I am not one who will fail because of inaction."
There was a long, painful silence that followed and K didn't hesitate to take the first step onto the bridge.
"I will Succeed or I will fail. The actions I take are my own and that is enough for me if the end comes for me."

As the two of them peered over what seemed to be the edge of this world, the Reppamon sat back and observed. He was both curious and nervous to see how the fox would take this - would this overwhelm the Renamon? Would it probe impassible, or would she slip? It was both a breathtaking and nerve-wracking sight to behold...
... And K, after a moment's hesitation, walked right up to it. She examined the path, and observed the road she had to take. This was not without fear, but with sheer grit and determination. Her mind was made up the moment she saw that bridge.
"You trust in yourself. That, in your case, is the most important." The Reppamon stepped forward, and took a seat several yards from the bridge. "But this is not a path I can walk with you. Our steps are too different to keep the bridge in balance."
That said, the weasel gave a smile: "I will wait here, for your return. Go on, and hold that bravery close to your heart."
And as K would walk forth, she'd find herself traversing through a thick fog, one that threatened to choke the air. Perhaps mercifully, or perhaps not, K would barely be able to see her own feet and the rickety, wooden path below. A light, cold breeze cut through the air, even stinging under her fur.
But what could be said? K was now entering the parts of her mind she didn't even know she had until a day prior. This mystery is what made the fog, and the trial, the bridge. But so long as she persevered, eventually, her feet would hit warm soil as she reached the other side.
Well... if she could even make it the whole way across.

"I've done so for so long, why bother not? It'd be foolish otherwise."
She looked a little surprised of course when the Reppamon took a seat and told her that he wouldn't be able to go with her. She'd exhale softly and take a few steps on the bridge; she figured this was something she'd have to do alone after all. He was of course merely a guide; not someone that could solve all her problems.
Of course no one living or dead could do that. Only she could, with time and patience.
"I understand. I'll hopefully see you in a bit... If not you'll know what transpired."
As she walked, the thick fog seemed like it wasn't breathable, it seemed tight and closing in. But it was nothing close to the pain she had to endure about her inn. It could of been un-breathable but the smoke that she imagined with her customers inside of the precious home must of been a thousand times worse.
A place of peace and rest, choking the very life out of them. That is truly what made her lose herself in anger. It is what pushed her over the edge and upon a later point made her realize she had the power to make change. In both herself and others.
The cutting wind made her shiver and of course she'd pause for a moment when the initial breeze had hit her. Growling in irritation she'd continue, closely observing each step she made. She didn't bother looking ahead of herself; knowing it'd just make it seem longer and longer.. or more impossible by the minute.
Eventually when she reached soil she blinked, the warmth it had rather suprising. She'd lean down to run her hand along the top of it before looking about; desiring to take in her surroundings....
