OOC: If you have a human character that still attends high school and is aged 15-18, you can join in this thread as a student. Their partner digimon are allowed as well, so long as they're well hidden.
Lise Hamelin always took the early train from her home in Roppongi to her job at Shibuya High School. Yes, even though the morning crush was still there on the 6am train, at least it gave her the chance to have a decent sized freshly cooked breakfast at her favorite Bento bar nearby, where she could catch up in the news and already have the rush of the morning travel behind her.
As she sipped tea, her eyes were focused on the news on her phone. More odd things seemed to be happening around the city, which was beginning to make her a little worried. They seemed to be focused on the Shibuya district. Things like children going missing and others walking around in strange monster-like costumes that nobody could figure out where they were from. Well, she hoped that nobody in her class was involved in all that. Still, children going missing... that was terrible.
The 30 year old Englishwoman deftly ate her delicious bento breakfast with chopsticks as she read. Her job as a teacher in Shibuya High was quite taxing at times, especially this close to the final exam season. But she trusted enough in her class to do so properly. In fact she was delighted at their progress, in her six years of teaching the kids seemed to be getting better all the time. She attributed this to the age of the internet and was rather delighted by it.
As she had finished eating, thanking the friendly server with a bow of her head, she was about to get up and leave for school, but saw something strange on the seat next to her. A large egg... when did that get there? Had the server put it there? "Excuse me..." she spoke, but it was too late, he had retreated to the kitchen. And furthermore she would be late for class if she lingered any longer. Supposing there was nothing else for it, she put the egg in her bag and headed off on her way. She'd of course check back in on the way back after class to see if it was missing.
Before long, she arrived at the high school, heading up to her office to collect the worksheets for today, mainly exam preparation now. First the warning bell sounded, then the main class bell, and with that, she made her way to the classroom, where Class B's English lesson would take place.
"Good morning everyone" she said as she entered, using English of course. It was a little habit of hers to always do so, begin the lesson with the language they're learning. Lise set the handbag down under her desk and waited for the class to get ready for the lesson.

"I'M LAAAAAAAAAAATE!!!" Adrian screamed at the top of his lungs as he bolted out the door, much to the dismay of his mother, and straight to the school.
"You should've gotten home sooner," Shoutmon scolded him from his Digivice watch. "You spent all night in the Digital World and managed to get home at three in the morning!"
"Shut it, loudmouth," Adrian angrily told his partner, right as they entered the main Shibuya city district. The school wasn't too far away now. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed two other kids struggling to get to class: his long time best friend Jitsuko, a rather short, beautiful girl that was Adrian's age, who's hair was currently a beautiful shade of blue. But he also saw... Rebecca Story? That one girl that never talked in class, or even SMILED.
Has she EVER been late to class?
"Hey, you two," Adrian told the two ladies as they ran. "Did both of you oversleep?"
"The sucky part about having insomnia," Jitsuko shrugged, "I ended up getting two hours of sleep. Still, I feel awake!"
"Good," Adrian told her with a grin on his face. "Then you're eyes will be wide open when you eat my dust!" The gogglehead then picked up the pace, getting ahead of the other two girls before they even realized it.
Five minutes of running later, the three finally made it to Hamelin-Sensei's class. They were right on time, too.
"Ohaiyo Gozaimasu, Hamelin-Sensei," Adrian greeted his teacher good morning as he rushed to his seat.
"Sorry that we're late, Hamelin-Sensei," Jitsuko says, immediately taking her own seat.
And, of course, Rebecca just simply walked in, nodding calmly at Lise before taking her own seat. Now class could truly begin...

Who wears a heavy coat in a classroom? Who shows up to class early, only to fall asleep at the desk before the teacher arrives? Apparently, Eito Watanabe, that's who. Usually such a good student - if a bit quiet and awkward, maybe even antisocial - something has obviously been distracting him lately. Luckily, he was startled awake by certain students entering, along with the teacher. "Good morning Miss Hamelin," he groggily and slowly replies in decent if mechanical and tired English. He then notices that his coat was still on, and sheepishly takes it off and places it on the back of his chair. "Sorry...."
Surprisingly, Eito looked a little different since the class last saw him. Though it hasn't been that long, he was already looking a little bit buffer. Was he on one of those fad "super exercise" routines and diets, or did he normally just hide his physique? Besides that, he looks tired, but his eyes hold newfound determination.

"Well this is annoying, why did I have to sleep in?" John grumbled to himself, "If only I hadn't felt like someone was watching me last night, maybe it was my nerves?" He had been tossing and turning last night for an hour because of this feeling, as such he had slept for about half an hour past his alarm before jolting awake, and while he did get his uniform on, eat breakfast, and brush his teeth, he was unable to comb his hair so he had to do his best with his hands as he ran to school. "Alright, according to this map my uncle gave me, the school should be about a block from here, maybe I can learn more about this device he gave me there?" John said as he took out the hand held device, the true use of it eluding him, as he did so he looked behind him, the feeling he had all throughout his time at the dorm had stuck with him as he rushed to school.
Finally he made it to the campus, John saw many different students making there way to their classes, a few even waved at him as they did. Waving back he pulled out his phone and looked at his text he got that morning, "Hey John, it's Dan, just wanting to wish you a good first day at school, and if you want to know more about the device I gave you why not ask around at school, weather or not anyone is helpful I can't say for sure." John sighed, "You could at least tell me what these things do instead of being all cryptic." he thought as he entered the building, oddly enough the feeling he had left when he did. He made his way to a office, explained his situation and got directions to his classroom, as he walked to the door to it he took a deep breath, exhaled and entered, as he did he saw that class had started but it looked like it just did. Entering he walked to the front of the class and introduced himself, "Uh hi I'm John Jordan, I'm 16 and from the USA, I like to draw and play games, It's nice to meet you all." he said this as he tried to do a casual bow, he had read about the customs there before leaving so he wouldn't do anything to offend someone and/or embarrass himself, but he looked stiff and his hands where fidgeting a little. After finishing his intro he walked to an empty seat by the window in the third row, sighing with a bit of relief as he did... only to get on edge again as he felt he was being watched again, looking outside his sight was directed towards a tree, however he saw no one there.

In a startling change of events, Naoko actually felt like she was rather early for school. Probably because smuggling a fairy home had some unprecedented consequences. In any case, she didn't have much trouble if any getting to school. Unbeknownst to her, she had a surprise passenger in her backpack in the form of...
Who else?
Fragging Queen Titania of all people. Surprisingly? She was quiet. Naoko was none the wiser. In either case, she made her way towards Miss Hamelin's class, waving to people without much else in the way of words. She was always quiet in times like this. Took her seat, replied Good morning to Miss Hamelin and waved at the new guy.
Awful lot of people with super foreign names lately. Was that just her?
...Oh, yeah. And she (begrudgingly) hung her hoodie at the back of her chair.

Lise raised an eyebrow as two students arrived. But she supposed it was too late in the year to scold them. "It's actually 'Good Morning, Miss Hamelin', hopefully you'll remember that for your exam, Adrian" she said with a smile. Just her sense of humour there.
She recognized the students at their desks. Adrian, Rebecca, Eito, Naoko and several others. She didn't worry much about how they'd go in the exams, they were all fairly good at classwork from what she could tell.
Oh? There was a new student? Ah, of course, Lise had forgotten about that. She saw him and introduced him. "First, everyone, we have a new student. Please, come in and introduce yourself" she instructed him, resuming speaking in Japanese.
It seemed that he was an arrival from the United States. It was unusual that he'd be enrolled a few weeks before the final exams, but she supposed that circumstances caused this. Besides, him beginning at high school for a few weeks before the summer break would give him a better chance at things in the next year. "Ordinarily I'd be a little worried about your progress in enrolling here so late in the school year, but since you're from America I trust that you won't struggle that much with English" she said. "Please, take a seat".
Once that was dealt with, Lise walked around the room, placing worksheets on everyone's desk. "Just a small reminder that you should be almost finished with your reading projects by now" she said in a somewhat serious voice. "There's going to be a section on the exam related to the books you've read this year, so do your best to come up to speed with that".
Once the worksheets were all distributed, she returned to the head of the class. "In today's lesson we're going to focus on the proper use of verbs in English. Before we begin writing, let's have a little discussion. First, an easy question, who can tell me what a verb is?"
In the moment of silence, Lise heard a faint 'crack' coming from her desk. She glanced down at it, blinking. What was that? Well, if nobody else heard it, she wouldn't bring attention to it. She instead focused on her lesson.

Ah, balls. Adrian was so caught up in just actually GETTING to class, that he completely forgot to do his usual greeting to his English teacher! "A-Ah! Gommenasai- I mean, sorry, Miss Hamelin!" He tried saying before going to his seat.
A new student? THIS late into the year? That was odd... and why was he taking an English class? If anything, this new American kid should be taking Japanese, why was he taking English? He shrugged it off.
"Kon'nichiwa," Adrian greeted in Japanese, before switching to English. "That's our way of saying, 'Hello.'"
"Hiiiiiiiii!" Jitsuko greeted John with much enthusiasm! "It's so great to meet you. I'm Arai Jitsuko, but just call me Jitsuko, okay?"
Rebecca was the exact opposite of how Jitsuko reacted, as she turned her head towards the window, in order to avoid eye contact with the American. "Kon'nichiwa."
Alright, now it was time for the class to begin, as worksheets were handed out, before Hamelin-Sensei- Miss Hamelin, asked everyone a question. Almost immediately, Jitsuko raised her hand. If she was called on, this would be here answer:
"A verb in English is a word that describes an action. For example, "run" or "jump"."
However, that sudden cracking sound was much louder than Hamelin-Sensei initially thought. Adrian and Jitsuko both heard it, as well. "You... you heard that, right, Adri?"
Adrian nodded to his friend. "Yeah, I heard it. It sounded like... something hatching." His mind immediately went straight for the one thing he dreaded - a Digimon.

Eito gives the teacher a sleepy smile at her teasing remarks. "Yes Miss Hamelin, I'll be sure to remember that." She can be such a dork sometimes, he thinks quietly. But maybe that helps some of the students here learn better?
A new student? And a foreign one at that! This was quite a surprise! Eito focuses as Jon Jorudan... no... John Jordan... introduces himself. Miss Hamelin is right, it was an odd time for a new student to join. At first, this sparks Eito's curiosity, but then he quickly becomes disinterested. After all, John's life is none of his business unless he wishes to make it Eito's business.
Eito feels at ease even when the teacher mentions the reading projects. Even with his trips into the Digital World, Eito had plenty of time to read. Riding in a personal Trailmon made that pretty simple. Eito was ready to answer the verb question but did not need to- another student gave the correct answer. Everything seemed normal in the Analog World.
Except that cracking sound. Whatever it was, even the teacher seemed surprised. He reaches into his desk, feeling around until he wraps his hands around his Xros Loader.

John attention was taken away from the seemingly and definitely empty tree by greetings by three of the students, "Warm greetings for the most part, seems that making friends here won't be an issue but still I best not get comfortable just yet.", he waved at them, "Hey thanks, and uh Kon'nichiwa,... say after class can I ask you three something about a item my uncle gave me? I'll explain later." John tried his best to greet them in their language, and after taking one last glance at that overall boring tree focused on the teacher. Lise talked about work that the class was doing during the semester and that it would be on the exam, this immediately brought some concern to John, "Wait reading assignments, exams, dang it Daniel, why did you get me prepared for everything BUT this? Ah well, I guess that's something to ask the teacher later." As he was about to take out his notebook to wright notes in the back he heard a pretty loud CRACK from somewhere in the room, wondering if it was from the device he had he took it out of his pocket and looked at the screen, but saw no change had happened, he then heard Adrian and Jitsuko whispering about an something and leaned in, "Where do you guys think that noise came from?" He asked.
In the tree there was a small fox on four legs hiding, looking into the classroom of the human who had moved into her hiding place. "Looks like some sort of commotion is happening in there... can't someone open a window or something? I can't hear anything out here, but it's too risky to sneak in right now." She thought, wondering what was going on in the classroom.

Naoko breathed a sigh of relief as she was indeed -not- paranoid about the reading project, or Book Talk as she had come to know it as, and...wasn't behind on it for once. Whew. "Welcome, hope you find it nice over here." She spoke to the new guy in English. It was pretty chatty in English class as usual, which provided plenty of white noise for Naoko as she went over the worksheet that Ms. Hamelin had placed on everyone's desk, before raising her hand with the verb question. She'd answer with "A verb's a word in English denoting an action."
...Then again, anyone would probably get that, right?
...And then she could've swore she heard something. Something like a crack. "What...?" She mumbled in Japanese. Better hope nobody heard that.
Unbeknownst to Naoko, Titania also heard whatever that was. The backpack-sheltered fairy just decided to stay hidden. It was better that way, assumedly.

Lise gave another smile at Adrian and let him take his seat without further fuss. As things settled down, Adrian was the one to answer first, presumably to make up for the earlier mistake. "Yes that's correct, verbs are 'doing' words. Similar to katsuyo in Japanese, but of course different in their own way, hopefully you've all gained a fair enough idea of that in your Japanese language class".
She was about to continue when apparently the 'crack' from her desk gained attention from the others in her class. Oh dear, was it the giant egg she had found in the bento bar? Was... was it hatching?! Now, in front of the class.
"Excuse me for a moment please" she said, then looked in her handbag under her desk. She saw that the egg... it was breaking! Her fears were true! Oh no, what was she going to do now? Could she discreetly take it out from the room? Perhaps that would be for the best, she didn't want the class distracted by what was probably a large baby bird.
But she had no chance to act. There was a flash of light from her bag. She gave a gasp and dropped it on the desk, probably breaking the egg further. It was too obvious that something truly amazing was happening now, in front of everyone too!
Then, the light faded, and when it disappeared, something... strange bounced out of her bag and onto the desk. Lise was simply speechless. It... couldn't be real right? It looked like a little black fuzzy ball with bright, almost glowing yellow eyes. And... were those ears?
Lise stared at it for a while, muttering "Oh my god..." in her native English, then glanced at her class. What... what was she meant to do? For the moment she was completely shocked. The little furball blinked up at her curiously. What did this mean?

The cracking sound continued, causing even Rebecca to look up in confusion.
"Um... Miss Hamelin, what was tha-" Jitsuko started, but she didn't get to finish before a big flash of light came from the teacher's bag, and everyone saw it. Adrian immediately got up from his seat, despite that class was already going on. In the back of his mind, he knew what this was...
"What's happening?!" Jitsuko asked in panic, mainly to Adrian.
Finally, the flashing of light stopped, and now Adrian's worst fear had come true. There was no mistake, this was definitely a Digimon... a Botamon, from the looks of it, which was also Shoutmon's baby form.
"Oh my god..." Rebecca muttered in Japanese, in absolute shock by what the hell she was seeing in front of her.
"Miss Hamelin... just calm down," Adrian says, trying to take initiative. "That... creature isn't going to hurt you, okay? Whatever you do... just don't freak out."

The crackling noise was getting hard to ignore. Even with others being called upon, even with the distracting cracking, Eito does not wish to answer the buzzing and beeping of his Xros Loader for fear of being caught. "Shhh... I'm in class," he hisses. "Now's not the time-"
But maybe it was the time. The brilliant light of Digivolution alerts Eito to the fact that this wasn't natural. In fact, there was now a Digimon in the classroom! Well, another Digimon in the classroom, one visible to all. The buzzing and beeping gets louder. Finally, Eito checks it. "Yes, I know, okay," he whispers.
"What are we going to do abou-" Tetsu begins, but is quickly cut off by more harsh whispering. "Nothing. Nothing yet."
Inwardly, Eito groans. Great, he thinks, now everyone here has seen a Digimon and is probably about to start panicking. Except... some of the kids seem shocked but not scared. That.. Adrian, was it? He seems to know what's going on.
Outwardly, however, Eito puts up a much different front. "WHAT THE HECK IS THAT," he shouts, pointing madly at the newly-hatched Digimon. "Adrian, you know what that... thing is!?"

The classroom was filled with murmurers, everyone was talking with one another as to what that cracking noise was, John looked at his teacher to see if she had an explanation as to what it was when he suddenly saw a bright light... only to be replaced by what at first looked like a big ball of lint with yellow jellybeans for eyes. "...What?", this was just about the best he could get out as a response, his mind having a bit of trouble processing this. "This is a prank... right, someone put this thing in her bag didn't they?" for some reason, Adrian seemed to know what this thing was at least somewhat, as far as John knew this was just some stuffed toy that was rigged to jump out of the bag, but weather he wanted it or not it was the start of a journey... one that will probably make him think at one point, "Maybe I should have stayed with dad?".
The Viximon continued to watch the class, but without sound she could only guess what was going on, "Things are starting to pick up, something is disrupting the class in there, wish I could hear them but this is the best I can do without being seen, the teacher seems confused about what's happening I wonder what-", before she could finish her thought a flash of light came from the bag on the desk and out came a black creature. "A Digimon, what was one doing here, did it sneak in her bag?! " She focused on the ball, very curious about what it'll do next.

Well. Naoko's fears were...confirmed. The cracking was not only real, but also...That egg?
It was hatching.
In the middle of English class. Thankfully, it...didn't explode or anything. Something dark and fuzzy hopped up on the table. A Botamon. Meanwhile, Naoko's bag seemed to unzip itself...When in reality it was a clawed hand prying it's way through a hole and unzipping the bag. Herself.
Naoko herself meanwhile was more focused on the two things in front of her.
One.
Her classmates--One of them, at least, also knew what a Digimon was. And two. This was...actually happening. Botamon in the Homeroom. She took a deep breath, and decided to weigh in. "...What he said, Hamelin-sensei. Uh...I also think that's either yours or...I'm...not sure..." Meanwhile the occupant of her backpack began to float up slowly. And spoke. "...Oh, wow, a baby hatched!" Titania squeaked in joy!
Oh no.
Naoko started to murmur every obscenity in the book under her breath.
