At least Curls seemed to cheer up some in the face of Amy's appearance! Maybe due to the fact that the female presence at the celebration was markedly low? Or could it be due to the fact that she had been unconscious for roughly half a day? That was a good question!
"I mean. I could be resting. But I feel fine, and the celebration's not gonna wait for me, is it?" Amelie's grin was a good way to measure how she felt at the moment. Or her general attitude about the world, all things considered.
Very, very cocky. The way she had referred to the Valkyrimon that had faced the group while she was unconscious was a hallmark of that attitude. "Nah, I meant Birdman. Like Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law? It's a good series, in case you haven't watched it." Another, more thorough sip was taken from her cocktail. "Annd let's just say that I dreamt of it. That's the easy way to explain it!"
Maybe that conversation had a time and place, but she wasn't going to explain the intricacies of her spirits when they were supposed to be celebrating their victory! Sides, it was way more satisfying to just boast about her performance in the race. "I like that comment. I was awesome out there, wasn't I? That's okay. You can praise me more if you want to; I don't mind it." The brunette made a pause, as if letting the silence punctuate her words. "You weren't half bad either. Your help made the race a lot easier than what it was supposed to be thanks to you."
All in all, the reasons why Katherine wasn't still on her best mood was rather obvious. The situation with Ebidramon was a close call. The truth was that, had the situation been even slightly different, the girl wouldn't have lived to tell the tale. Then again, that reasoning could apply to literally any situation; it was pointless to dwell in it. "Well, well!" Leaving her empty glass on the table for a second, the teenager side-hugged her peer. "You should be at ease, Cu~rls! There's no need to think about the whole deal so thoroughly. In case it wasn't obvious enough, as long as I get to be around, I won't let any harm come you. I wouldn't mind babysitting my best friend if necessary, hahaha~!"
As if that hadn't been obvious enough, this was the first time the girl had laughed so... merrily, for the lack of a better word? It didn't seem forced at all. The alcohol's influence, maybe? No way to know. "That shrimp had no chance from the beginning. And I swear that the next time, he won't be as lucky!"
Yet, the dark-haired girl had brought a valid point; why the Valkyrimon hadn't attacked them when they were down? That seemed like an interesting question. "Welll~! Judging from it, I'd say that you're way better at finding them gems than he. Maybe he's bankin' on that fact and waiting until you collect some more before making his move? Or maybe he was afraid of who could react to an attack amid one of the biggest cities in the Digital World. Jus' like he's pretty strong, I'm sure there are beings who're no slouches as well." Despite her merry visage, her expression somewhat darkened at the fact that 'anyone' could be afraid of her. "Nah. I may be pretty amazing, but I still have a long way to go, and I'm kind of a late bloomer, so I'm confident on him bein' stronger than me for a whiiile. I still have my fair share of aces under my sleeve, but on a direct fight? He'd probably beat me without issue, at least at the moment."
Amelie shrugged. She wasn't the type that had qualms or doubts on admitting her own weakness, or its temporary nature. She was confident on being able to pound anyone that could reach her same level, but getting to face somebody of a higher level wasn't something she would be keen on doing, considering the natural disadvantage that situation brought.
Smiling at Garmore as he quipped into the situation, the girl could only say one thing at the Nanimon before they engaged in the main topic. "Dun worry. I can hold my liquor jus' fi~ne." All in all, the information and clues that he had brought into the situation seemed to be fairly interesting, despite Amelie's blank expression as the tales progressed and more tidbits were released. All in all, it seemed pretty interesting, yet dangerous at the same time. The Dark Army seemed like an issue they'd have to handle with care.
The Dark Army. Terminus. A Zoid Gem. And Katherine wanted to go there. To say the least, the brunette's expression seemed to be... pretty bright at the decision.
"That's my girl!" Amy's grip on Katherine strengthened somewhat. "Way to bounce back from being at death's door; that's the spirit! Can't wait to kick Harvey Birdman's ass on the flesh!"
It only too her a small pause to straighten that expression. "But we're not going there until we have a plan, and at least a couple more levels going on Jazz. Anything less, and you'd have to get through me before even thinking about setting a foot on Terminus; and I won't go easy on you, you know? Ain't that a nice plan? I think it is!" One last grin graced her face. "It was traced by me, after all."
Finally, Amy undid her hug and went on to search for another drink. Her throat felt dry.
