During times like this, Titania sort of wished she had a really high and solitary place to herself to think. Unfortunately, such a thing was not possible at this moment, so she consigned herself to wandering the halls of the Great Moving Library. At the very least she was alone. Nobody really deserved to deal with her while she was this...frazzled after the operation in the desert. Honestly, even with how...sour her feelings towards her own tamer were? Even she didn't really deserve that. Titania also had zero idea what time it was in the day, so her main focus was just finding a place to sit for a while. Maybe take a nap. Something. Hallways were, however, prime places for bumping into people. Sakurin

Hallways were indeed a good place to bump into people, especially people like Mizu the Betamon, who greatly enjoyed just roaming the halls and explore every nook and cranny of the Club's base! So, the frog dragon fish girl waddled through the halls, humming to herself, when she turned a corner and bumped into someone. "Oof! Sorry!" Oh my! Who else but her darling Titania stood before her! What a coincidence! "Oh! Oh! Titania! Fancy meeting you here!~ What brings you out here?~" Hmmm, something seemed...off, though. Usually Titania wasn't this sullen. "Uuuuh....is everything ok? You seem kinda gloomy!"

Oof! Turns out rounding the corner was a terrible idea, because she actually -did- bump into someone.
...Wait, Mizu? Titania blinked and tried her best to put on a smile for the betamon, exceeept she was a little bit too late in that regard. This was awkward. Oh geez, now she knew it felt to be Naoko. "Hey, darling! Eh...Ah...I'm just looking for a place to sit down for a bit. I-I'm fine, I swear. Mostly. Just tired. And frazzled. Trazzled, if you would."
That wasn't even a real word. It was a very strange coincidence that Mizu was out here too but hey, both of them lived here so it made sense. "How are things with you? Where's Yuki?"

Mizu was quite concerned. It was not like her sweetheart to be this lost in thought! She looked at her with concern, then flopped down on her belly. "Come on, you can sit on my back! That's nice and comfy! And then you can tell me what's eating ya!" Where Yuki was? Well, that was simple! "Oh, you know the Sumida Aquarium near the Tokyo Skytree? Well, they're looking for a new worker, and Yuki showed quite a bit of interest after all our science trips to the sea! It's better paid than her job at the vinyl shop, so hopefully she'll get the spot!"

"...M-Mizu..." Titania could not help but...snicker a little at the unfortunate implications of what she just said. "...A-Alright, if you say so." The good thing was that she didn't weigh a lot. Fairies are extraordinarily light. So, she hopped right on! "You know...Those guys never really got back to me about that hotel...It's good to see that those trips cultivated an interest in marine life, though. From what Dad told me, mom and uncle Nyanta see quite a few fish in their travels."
With that, she took a breath before exhaling and twirling a lock of hair. "...I've kind of had a rough week and I also think I'm in a...pretty...strained? No, tense. That's the word. Tense spot with Naoko. Between the whole thing with the Library and the desert...It's...It's kind of...stressful, you know? A-And...I don't know what to do." Was that doubt?
Yep. That was doubt.

Mizu made herself comfortable and just let Titania relax and ramble. Seems she's in a bad spot with Naoko! Oh no! There's nothing worse than a falling out with your Tamer! Mizu was instantly alerted. "Oh no! A falling out with Naoko? Man, forget the Hotel, people are dumb bnut that can solve itself fast. But a fight with your Tamer? Tell me everything about it! I wanna help! The bond of Tamer and Partner is important!" The "desert" thing also caught her attention. She hadn't heard about that yet, but she decided that was secondary, first she needed to help her patch things up with Naoko!

Titania sort of perked up but it was the kind that you could liken to being jostled awake. "Uh...Yes, kind of..." She trailed off. Should she really be telling Mizu about this? Maybe not, but at the same time bottling things up is reportedly awful for you...Plus she could have some insight to share.
It was a very quick but a very heavy decision, too. "Al...Alright, so. Before we start...What...would you do if you ended up being forced to do something as bad as dark digivolving? Something awful spurred on by something even worse that also happened because someone didn't...listen to you?"
This was already plenty uncomfortable for her.

Mizu tried to give Titania a reassuring look and a smile, but even she winced a bit when she heard the words "Dark Digivolution". No matter how powerful or self-controlled, most good Digimon tend to dread this phenomenon. It was the bogeyman that parents scared their children with. It was simply something that was -scary-. Regardless, Mizu put on her smile again and took a deep breath. "Dark Digivolution...that would mean something really bad happened. I...would probably try my hardest to cling to my self, to keep my thoughts focussed on solving the problem. I wouldn't want to hurt an innocent person..." As reassuring as Mizu tried to be, it was clear the very concept was alien to her. But she did not seem to judge her, either.

"Mm. I've...heard of it. It's something Dad's very afraid of. You know those tales about Apollomon that get infected by viruses and go crazy, right? It's...kind of like that. Thing is...Something horrible happened and Naoko's...emotions, I guess? I think they just spiraled out of whack and...a whole slew of things that I'm...fairly certain are synonymous with murderous intent came out and next thing I knew everything was going red..."
What happened after that?
...Everything was admittedly blurred a little bit. She only remembered pain after learning that Haru had perished. Even if she knew what had happened...Truly recalling it was no easy task for the fairy. "...I woke up an...indeterminate amount of time later as a Puttimon and...I think I snapped at her. And I get like my aunt when I snap. I think I tore into her and...now she's not talking to me or anyone. I-I don't think I'm too familiar with how humans handle grief, either, especially when their siblings are slain..."
Wait.
What.
To make matters worse, Titania was shaking a little. Why was that?

Mizu was really concerned and tried to pat Titania's leg. "Hey now, emotions are fickle things! Sometimes they go out of hand! In both humans and Digimon! I understand your anger at Naoko, I really do, but if emotion overtook her, then you should not be too hard on her! Give her some time, and give yourself some time too! Time heals...all...wounds..." Her train of thought trailed off. Did Titania just say "when their siblings are slain"? Her mind rotated at intense speeds. Little tidbits she had heard in conversation were pulled out of drawers in her mind as she put two and two together. ... ...Haru is dead?"

"...They're...very unstable, yes. And...I have. I think she's in the Human World right now hanging with that...knucklehead she likes a bunch...I think?" She relaxed a little at the pat. "...I just...think I was a little too harsh. I don't know. I...know I'm not the best partner in the world but I'm doing my best, right...?"
Of course, a hanging silence sort of descended upon the two as Titania also trailed off, before Mizu basically uttered an armor piercing question.
Haru is dead?
...Did...she...let that...slip?
There was a few more seconds of silence from Titania, before she took a gulp. "...U-Unfortunately. Um. She and Naoko answered a distress call from the desert and found a Sakakumon there. Went through a portal, got...assaulted by a Meicrackmon that Tawna seemed to be familiar with and...then it took Haru and..." The fairy queen trailed off once more.
"...It's a matter that's...supposed to be a secret. Last I saw of that Meicrackmon, a human was leading it off to...do something to it. Naoko asked the human to save her sister but I have no knowledge of anything after that." Also the coffee from that cafe was crap.
Much like her mind right now, but what else was new?

"Yeah, you tried your best, and that's all that matters..." There was not much else the Betamon could muster right now. The very concept of losing someone so close to the club members was simply devastating to her. What would Yuki say? What would Ayumi say? ...not that she could tell them. It was supposed to be a secret. Well, she could keep it...from anyone but Yuki, that is. But at least Yuki could take a secret to the grave, too. Mizu gently pulled Titania down from her back, rolled over to her back, and gave the fairy a tight hug. "I'm...so sorry for your loss..."

Titania had fallen silent. She was currently considering whether or not it had been a good idea to spill the beans regarding what had happened. On one claw it seemed like the right thing to do. It felt...nice to get that off of her chest. Plus someone might start asking questions sooner or later and...Dodging questions was annoying. Terribly annoying.
Titania was not silent because she was unfeeling. No. She was only quiet because she had no idea what to feel. As Mizu hugged her, she hugged the frog right back and buried her face in her...back? Shoulder? Did frogs have those? "It's...It's..."
Not fine at all, really. This was only punctuated by Titania starting to sob quietly.

"Shhhh..." Mizu gently patted the fairy. "No need to talk. Take all the time you need. Sort out your thoughts. This must be a terrible situation for you. To witness such tragedy, and to bear such heavy knowledge. Don't try to talk just because you think you owe me any explanation. Right now, only you matter, ok? Sort out your feelings, take your time..." While her voice did not falter, and kept a soothing, cooing tone, Mizu's eyes began to get watery. Both over the sinking realization that a friend of hers was -gone-, and because sadness of her loved ones always infected her, too. But she did not want Titania to notice this. For her, she had to be strong!

Sure was nice that there was zero need to talk because Titania spent more than a few minutes just sobbing her eyes out. Maaany questions could be asked. Why was this hitting her so hard? Why had she been bottling all of this up for this long? "B-But..." Did it really matter that much?
Mizu was right though. This was a horrible situation to be in. Titania was barely starting to calm down, evidenced by the fact she was sloooowly growing quieter. "...I just...I don't get it! W-Why do bad things happen to good people? In and out of stories...I-I don't get it..." The fairy was hoarse and barely above a whisper.
