Get On With It

Gumdramon scoffed.off the comment. "You're just a human, what would you know anyway?"

Veemon glanced at the thing known as the guitar. He went up to it and took a close examination of it. He didn't want to touch it seeing as it was Connor's and didn't want to be rude. "A guitar huh," he said "He's right, you play this thing pretty good." 


Gumdramon didn't like the human pushing him like that on the head. It was one thing that something like that means that this humans wants to fight him, but the fact he only saw him as a kid that needed his parent--or in this case--Justice to "put a leash on him" made him angry. 

"I don't need no human to babysit me." He turned to Veemon "And I certainly don't need someone watching out for me 24/7. And you know what..."

In a blind fury, Gumdramon extended his tail when Connor wasn't looking to trip him, shocking Veemon.

"You idiot, what are you doing," he shouted, sprinting a Gumdramon to try and restrain him, only for his little brother to hit him upside the head with his tail. 

"Stay out of this! I'm gonna teach this human some respect!"

Gumdramon smirked at what Upamon said, if his human couldn't even put up a fight, what changes does a Digimon at his level have. He went over to Upamon. He didn't know what he was feeling, He wasn't sure if it was anger, sadness, or any emotion at all; he was just acting how he felt. 

"Aww, what's the little baby gonna do, bounce on me," he said, bending over to mock his stature. "Ha! Just try and attack me shrimp."

Veemon struggled to get up. The blow to the head really caught him off guard. At first, he thought that his younger brother was just blowing off some steam, now he's out of control. He struggled to get on his feet, but was only able to get on one knee. He put his hand on the side of his head, which throbbed in pain. He slowly came to Connor's aid, trying to help him up.

"I'm so sorry about this," the blue dragon said."When he gets this angry, there's no telling what he can do. I'm gonna stop this, I promise."

Veemon slowly started to pick up speed and delivered a V-Headbutt to him, making sure he didn't hurt Upamon. The delivery of that attack made his head hurt more, but he didn't let the pain slow him down, as he got on top of his brother in put him in a choke hold. 

"Gumdramon, stop this! What would Justice think about this?"

The purple Digimon simply punched him in the face without hesitation, sending him flying down the lawn. 

"Screw Specs," he shouted. "You think he has power over me? If he really cared about all this he would be here."

Gumdramon became surprised that Upamon digivolved into Armidillomon, despite only just meeting him a couple of minutes ago. The surprise quickly turned into excitement, as his tail hit the ground a few times, trying to contain it from getting the best of him. He saw Armidillomon as a tough opponent to blow some steam off. It didn't matter how, he was going to win. Nuff said.


"Bring it on you overgrown shell head! You're gonna regret ever challenging me!"

Gumdramon flew head speed at Armidillomon, preparing to win at all cost.

"HEY," a familiar voice shouted.

Gumdramon stopped in his tracks and slowly turns around. He recognized that voice from anywhere. Veemon, who was face first in the dirt lifted his head, surprised at who he saw. "Heh, took you long enough..." 

"Justice."

Justice gave a distrusting look to the dude he saw, the attire that he was wearing, noticeably the bandana across his face, gave the distinction that he was someone to keep an eye on. "Yeah," he simply said. He noticed the Digimon that was next to him, that had the appearance of an armadillo. He became a bit surprised. The only person he has met that also had a Digimon was Chiaki, so this meant that he was like him as well.


He turned his attention to Veemon and lifted him on his feet. "You ok?" Veemon, who's head was still ringing a bit, gave a thumbs up. "Don't worry, it would take a lot more than a few beatings to put me down. How did you find us?"

"Bright light;clear as day. Followed it here. I don't think anyone could become omission to something that refulgent."

"Use English, man. Me no get big words." Justice simply patted his head in response, smiling. 


The smile quickly vanished as he turned his attention to Gumdramon and the stranger. "Can someone explain to me as to what in the affirmative action is going on here?" 

Gumdramon then frown and looked down, standing alone between the two groups.

Justice's face lit up at both Connor and Armadillomon's words. The idea that Gumdramon would assault a human, but his own brother in addition made his body riddled in anger. He quickly yanked the purple dragon off his feet and punched him up the head. "WHAT THE HELL POSSESSED YOU TO DO THAT YOU DUNCE," he yelled, "Today I wanted to wanted you guys to have some fun since classes don't resume for me until next week. And the next thing I see when I get out of the shower is you two missing! He held the digimon so his eyes would meet his. So tell, me: what made you have the bright idea to attack a person you don't know?" 

Gumdramon hadn't truly given much though until now. Why did he do it? He couldn't remember why because everything went fuzzy. He turned to his brother, who was sitting on the lawn looking on, holding his head. That was when the realization hit him; the frustration of him wanting to digivolve so badly accumulated into hurting those around him, even when they're talking reason to him. It was all the more reason to hide it and play the smug card.

"Humans need to learn respect under the presence of the Wild Child. I...I only hurt him a little bit." Gumdramon said those words with confidence, but he only met with a hard noogie from Justice.

"THAT'S NOT WHAT I AKSED YOU DIGITAL DUMMY" replied Justice, comically rubbing his knuckles on his head harder. Justice look up to Connor, with a little bit of guilt on his face. "I am so, so, so sorry about this. He doesn't know any better, so if you have beef with him, put it on me."

Justice loudly exhaled. "I mean yeah, you got a point." He put down Gumdramon and regained a bit of composure; it's been an hour since he woke up and was still feeling crabby. Though, he can't excuse his Digimon's actions since his  actions reflect on him. Veemon went up to Justice and slightly elbowed his knee to get his attention.

"Deep breaths, Justice. Deep breaths." Veemon said.

Justice did what he said and took a few deep breathes. He listened to what Connor and Amaradillomon's conversation. He didn't know that this was their first meeting, but so far they seemed to be best friends in the making. He turned to Connor when he addressed him.

"For about a week now, yes. When I first met them, they mugged me of my phone, so you can see how that turned out. But you gotta understand, for the short time that I've known them, these two brothers like to fight. So much so that it's literally their second language. Heck, this little blue guy will go up to any new Digimon and ask if they want to spar. I'm surprised that he hasn't asked you Digimon yet for a sparring match."

Veemon started to blush at the complement. "Ah shucks, I can't help it. I always like to fight strong opponents." Veemon gave what he thought was the best 'assuring' smile and turned to look at his brother, who stood in place, not saying a word.
