A Walk in the Woods (Hiroyo, Tsukiko, Eleonora)

Stupid, small-minded... Roger ground his beak in frustration as the accusations flew his way. Even Morgan was nodding his head to the gears' words! Of all the stupid...
"Me? You think I should be the one spilling my guts?" Roger snapped, his beak clicking angrily. "Fine, fine! I'll tell you what I did while you all took leisurely walks in the woods!" He didn't mean it, knew Tsukiko and Mitsuharu at least had to encounter something for them to be displaying a higher form but...after the what he had had to deal with?
Stupid.
"I rode Apemon like a fucking champ! I whittled him down until he collapsed from exhaustion at the edge of this area! Then when Babamon's freaky house crept up on us I put myself between the house and Tsukaimon except it all turned out to be useless, didn't it?" He twisted his head to the side to spit into the dirt, his angry hiss extending to his spoken words as well. He'd been frantic at first when he and Tsukaimon had entered the clearing. With Tsukaimon displaying the strange lethargy Roger hadn't been sure if it would be two against one versus Apemon. The tension, the danger...it had taken a greater mental toll than he was willing to admit.
"Babamon turned out to be a real decent 'mon considering her being a previous Great Demon Lady and all. Frankly I don't appreciate you being short with her since she's been more honest with that than that one." He said with a jab of his beak in Tsukaimon's general direction. "Babamon and I were having a real interesting discussion and she'd agreed to give up a flower when Apemon showed back up, half-beat and exhausted. Also looked terrified out of his mind of Tsukaimon until she bit him in half like a gummy bear."
He paused then, body held defiantly stiff as he swivelled his beak slowly from each of the humans. The lightning bolts on his face grew and shrank as he took in everyone's reactions before continuing. "Then Layla showed up with Tsukiko and Mitsuharu and y'all know the rest. She went back in the woods to fetch you as you got closer." He snorted and spat to the side again, his voice still filled with spite. Had they really needed him to sketch out what they already knew?
Stupid.
The look of confusion on Hiroyo's face looked extra stupid next to Morgan's thoughtful expression. Roger could already tell whatever was going to come out of her mouth was going to be dumb. It was expected.
"But...when we first got split up Layla was with me." The red head said slowly and okay yeah Roger had to admit he hadn't been expecting that. The lightning bolts on his head narrowed as he looked at the woman he travelled with.
"Are you getting so lonely you're imagining things now? Maybe you hit your head?" His voice was bitter and mocking but to his surprise she didn't back down.
"Of course not! I know what happened and what I saw!" She snapped at him, shooting him a nasty glare before turning a calmer expression to Layla.
"Go on, you can even mention when I slipped in the mud and lost my hat! And then when the we cleaned up in the river. Don't forget that stupidly scare dinosaur either, it had to be what, at least Champion level?" She clearly wasn't picking up on the way everyone else was acting so suspicious, nor even what they were suspicious about.

As the group finally reunited Eleonora sighed in relief yet the attitude of Tsukiko was a little worrying, something was up and it wasn't until she spoke again that Leo understand it, she still didn't had the full picture so making an assumption or acusation was going to be hard, for now tho better let the gears explain theri adventure.
"We were surrounded by dark looking trees that grew up and seal or path every time we tooked a step forward" "We had to keep the chat at minimum as our voices made a twisted echo as if the forest itself was guiding us, forcing a path upon us" "Morgan was with us the whole time so he can confirm the mind games the forest put on us, more importantly we met too digimon" "An Mephistomon and a Bagramon, the latter told us that he was inmune to the games of the forest and that everything was an ilusion made by our minds" "The forest sealing our path was never there to begin with, it was because we believe it to be there that it was there blocking our path" "Bagramon decided to help us and guide us through the fog while Mephistomon invite us to give up and stay here forever" "Perhaps it may be best to lie down, and let the forest takes you where it pleases.
After all, it is not as if you were in control to begin with." "Is thanks to Bagramon that we are here, more importantly he did not want to cross to this side saying that and we quote "Ahead is the dwelling of one I promised to never again cross paths with. I would do well to honor such a promise." "After parting ways we reach this place and slowly everyone came"
Done, the explanation of the gears reach it's end and then was Hiroyo's turn, analyzing a little of the words of the gears they confirm what she thought, the forest was alive and playing mind tricks with them, she listen carefully to Hiroyo's side of the story and when she finish a light smile was drawn on the face of the German girl as if all doubts she had have gone on that moment.
"Well I guess is my turn but before anything..." She made a small pause looking directly at both Layla and Tsukaimon, the smile on Leo wasn't there anymore her expression was more of disappointment. "I'm sorry... Gurren, Lagann battle rutine set!" Leo ordered pointing directly at the girl and her partner, quickly the gears jump in front of Leo. "Crash Device on standby" Was the second order and the gears started spinning their drills getting ready to shoot them at any moment. "You know? I'm hurt... Because I believe in you I stood by your side when Sepikmon appeared, I saved you from those Bakemon, now I can only imagine you with a mocking face laughing at me when I did that" The blonde was rubbing her forehead almost in frustration to not being able to see it before. "I'll admit it I was a fool that fall in your game because I can't bring my self to be brave while I'm alone, so having you by my side in a way kick an overprotective side of me, I had to be brave and protect you but enough about me let's go to my side of the story."
Eleonora took a deep breath before starting, she had mixed feelings about this but as the gears said with more pieces the puzzle is getting solve little by little.
"Layla save me from a group of Bakemon and after a while we met Sepikmon, a Shaman digimon that said something interesting... "Y'know, you call yourselves humans, but you two just reek of Digimon," Sure he meant both of us but you know? I punch that thing and I barely make him stumble and my hand hurt like hell, you on the other tackle and manage to take away his mask, your overall attitude was taking 180° going from shy and scare to sudden violent bursts, another thing that Sepikmon say and in fact show us was that Tsukaimon it's not a normal mon the forest itself tries to get rid of her in Sepikmon words "The spirits of the forest keep tabs on all the Digimon here. They can see how dangerous a Digimon is, as well as how rotten of a core's directing that danger."
Eleonora's tone rise with every word she spoke her expression almost being of anger at this point, it was hard to describe how she was feeling mostly betrayed than anything else, the blonde took another deep breath and finally speak again.
"I don't know who or what you two are, but I'll warn you if you make any kind of suspicious move you'll receive a drill on the face, so better start talking and explain what's going on"

The group had been through many trials and tribulations together, but in the end it seemed like everything had gone according to plan. Layla had been successfully escorted through the Server Woods, and she ever rediscovered the mysterious flower that she had sought. While it was a harrowing day for everyone's bodies and minds alike, in the end they could rest well knowing that they had won the day.
Objective Summary: Main Objective - Protect Tsukaimon's human as they go through the deepest parts of the Server Woods - SUCCESS!
Secondary Objective - Find the flower Tsukaimon's human is looking for - SUCCESS!
Mission - COMP-
If only it were so simple.
Layla's eyes widened, jaw following to hang open slightly. Tsukiko, someone she had trusted and confided in, just called her out as a suspect. "What?" she asked, stammering slightly. Her posture stiffened and she took a few steps away from Tsukiko. It was almost as if she feared what the girl was saying. "Hey, come on. You can trust me. I know this forest is really confusing, but . . . Tsukiko, please! It's me! We fought together, explored together . . . I . . . how could you?" Her throat hitched a little as she spoke.
If she was startled before, Eleonora's additional pressure made it worse. Layla screamed as as Gurren and Lagaan aimed their weapons at her. She squeezed her eyes shut and flinched, wrapping her arms tightly around herself as if hoping it would protect her. "What are you doing?" she pleaded, tears shimmering at the corners of her eyes. As she spoke her voice was hysterical, wobbling as if threatening to break into tears at any moment. "This forest is driving you guys crazy! Please, somebody . . . Tsukiko . . . Hiro . . ."
Tsukaimon dashed between Layla, Gurren, and Lagaan, puffing her cheeks up to try and look intimidating. "Get away form her!" she squeaked, her ears tensing and relaxing with each breath she took. Her nubby legs shook from fear, but she still brought herself to take a few steps forward. "Lay wouldn't hurt anybody! You're just being a bunch of big bullies! I . . . I'm gonna-!"
"No."
Tsukaimon turned around, ears sagging. Layla had raised up a hand to silence her. The girl had crumpled to the floor, head lowered and face tear-stained. "It's okay, Tsukaimon. This is all my fault, anyway," she said, a sad smile spreading across her face. "This forest is really dangerous. It gets to your head. It eats at you. It makes you doubt anything you've seen. I knew what it was capable of, but I was so worried about finding this stupid flower that I didn't even think to warn them. So maybe they're right. Maybe I am the bad guy here."
Tsukaimon rushed to Layla, burying her face in the girl's side. "Lay, no," she whined, trembling with worry. Layla, with the gentlest of touches, set a hand on the Tsukaimon to hold her closer. "I don't care if you made a mistake. I'm not gonna let them hurt you. I'm never gonna let anything hurt you. I promise . . ." However, with a single pat on the head, Layla had once more silenced Tsukaimon. For a second they sat there in silence, as still as statues.
Then Layla looked up, a soft smile on her face. "I don't know what you're going to do, Leo," she said, voice soft and quiet. "But . . . it's not like you're trying to hurt me or anything. You're trying to smoke out some body-snatcher, or doppelganger, or a Digimon causing mischief. I know it's weird to hear this from me, being in your line of fire and all that, but I really appreciate that you're that worried about me. So the least I can do is answer your question, right?
I'm Layla."
Slowly Layla rose to her feet. Then she rose. Then she kept on rising, until she stood to at least ten feet tall. She stretched back as if to yawn, only for two pairs of black wings to unfurl from her back as she did so. Her jacket rolled off of her shoulders as she did so, settling there like some sort of mantle. When she looked back at the group there would be something different about her. It was impossible to put to words: maybe it was a difference in her complexion, or her facial expression, or even the way she carried herself, but Layla suddenly seemed to look irresistibly beautiful. This would be doubly the case for Hiroyo, who would feel as if a velvet-gloved hand had wrapped around her heart.. If one were to tear their eyes away from Layla and turn to Hiroyo, they would notice a faintly glowing mark on her cheek.
Data started to shimmer around Layla's body, forming flowing purple garments around her sleeves and lower body. One hand poked out through the garment, coated in a golden gauntlet, while the other remained as is. She produced a gilded headdress from the garment and slid it through her hair, parting her bangs and revealing a bat-like mark on her forehead. Slowly, Layla's remaining garments blended into this new outfit, until soon her appearance was unmistakable.
The Demon Prince of Lust, Lilithmon, stood before the group. "I've always been Layla."
Babamon may have been quiet through this little investigation, but she hadn't been merely observing. Her meditative stance belied the fact that her broom was softly pulsating, as if an attack had been charging As Lilithmon finished manifesting Babamon swung her broom with all of her might. It extended from the safety of Babamon's house to Lilithmon's current position, glowing brightly all the while.
Not even turning to face the attack, Lilithmon reached up to catch it in her bare hand. With but a moment's application of pressure, she then splintered it into shards of wood and data. "I'm impressed, you know," she crooned, her voice a richer, more mature version of Layla's. Each word out of her mouth would slide into Hiroyo's ears like the smoothest silk. "You hid your secret garden quite well. But I suppose our little game had to come to an end sooner or later. If you'll excuse me, I have some flowers to cl-"
Suddenly, Lilithmon froze up. Her nose wrinkled in frustration as she stopped her monologue. "Excuse me, everyone. I need to take this. Terribly sorry," she explained, looking up towards the sky. "Tsukaimon, you can have fun with everyone will I'm busy. And don't worry about me, I'll keep along just fine." She set her golden-clawed hand on Tsukaimon's head, promptly reducing the bean back to a black Digitama.
Or, at least, it seemed to be a Digitama. For a Digitama it hatched awfully quickly. Tsukaimon's ear-like wings popped from the back of the egg in record time. After this came a pair of distinctly un-Tsukaimon limbs, powerful, lanky forearms that took on a disgusting amber color. Equally powerful legs, short and stout, quickly followed. The distended egg-beast took a few shaky footsteps towards the group, only to erupt into a long, bestial head. Eyes trailed down the head from nose to neck, and is teeth almost seemed like flesh-like extensions of the rest of its body.
"How do I look, guys?" the newly-christened Devitamamon asked, keeping the same child-like enthusiasm despite its horrific new form. Its voice warped and distorted with each word, as if being filtered through several broken speakers at once. "C'mon! Let's play tag!"
And then, without a further word, it charged forward.
Mission Objective:

They weren't being fair. Hiroyo's hands balled into fists at her sides as Tsukiko and Eleonora turned on their employer. She was just as lost in the woods as the rest of them, right? She had laughed with Hiroyo, had shown worry over what Tsukaimon was doing when Hiroyo had dawdled at the river and after the mud. Hiroyo's face swapped to anger as Tsukaimon interceded, the red head staring transfixed as for some reason everyone else on the team lost their minds. Going straight to threats? This wasn't how anyone should act! Sure the forest had been weird and some things in it had been terrifying, but that was more reason to act together in compassion and trust not this. She opened her mouth to say something to the others when Layla's simple 'No.' cut through the air. Hiroyo ached at the pain on the other girl's face, at the way she looked so beaten but was still taking the time to rationalize, to speak through why the others were reaction so harshly. A small grin found its way onto the red head's face as Layla stood up. She was pleased the other girl had found her feet, pleased she had remembered herself. And then she revealed who she really was and Hiroyo was left gaping at the sight. Such beauty! The curve of exposed shoulder, the poise inherent in her every movement! The grace with which she spoke! Each word was a blossom of warmth in her chest, each syllable a taste of water to a thirsty heart. She closed her eyes briefly and swayed on her feet. Her reverie was broken by the cracking and splintering of wood. Hiroyo's gaze turned back along the handle to fix Babamon with a glare. It hadn't touched Layla, had been no match for her majesty but anger still rumbled in the red head's chest. She opened her mouth to speak but Roger beat her to it. "Don't just stand there! Take your house and go!" Roger yelled, the tiny bug beginning to spark with electricity. The crackling-pop of electricity drew Hiroyo's attention to him and then her gaze slid past him to the flowers. Those were important, right? To Babamon and Layla and everyone? She should grab one because they were important and people would want them later and they should be- A wrench in her chest, like someone had grabbed her by the heartstrings and pulled. She recognized the feeling, tuned back in to what the twins were saying. "We'll buy you time so just take the damn flowers and flee!" That was Roger and she was suddenly struck by the thought that he didn't show concern for anyone except himself, not like this. Again the wrenching in her chest, the tug and pull of someone else trying to drag her strength out of her. "If you cannot get the flowers away it may be best to destroy them." Morgan said, his voice as steady as ever but with a lining of something sharp she hadn't heard there before. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, reaching for that warmth she had felt when Layla talked. She couldn't find it, only that twisting in her guts, in her being that was the twins trying to go higher. She snapped her eyes open and whirled about to face Layla mon and the newly emerged Devitamamon, the words she had been about to say dying at Tsukaimon's hideous new form. For a moment his body was colored red and she could almost see the cord reaching back into the distance. For a moment time was stopped again as she saw the twins in their champion forms clawed and slashed and bleeding red. She flinched. The twins pulled. She relented. She lifted the digivice over her head and a light began to shine forth. "Kunemon digivolve to...!" "Fanbeemon digivolve to...!"
There was a building glow as each mon spoke and their voices changed to suit the new forms. Roger's voice grew deepened while Morgan's voice lost some of its nuance as it took on a decidedly more mechanical sound. Hiroyo swayed, but the pain and nausea that normally accompanied the change was less than it ever had been before. Was that what she wanted? "Flymon!" "Waspmon!"
She lowered her arm, her face a mask of wide-eyed shock. Was this truly wise? Was this what she should be doing? Devitamamon charged and Hiroyo flung herself to the side. "Bug Buzz!" "Turbo Stinger!"
She could hear the buzz of the attack as it passed her, the disorientating sound waves headed for Devitamamon. Three lances of blue light shot past her. The sound of impacts (on ground or mon she couldn't tell) woke her from her daze. She ran, past the stump above which Morgan hovered, past the larger, now airborne form of Morgan. To the flowers she fled, where she dropped to her knees and began to tear at the soil with her hands. "We've gotta, get these away!" She hissed through gritted teeth. Away for who exactly?
Battle Log Roger and Morgan have evolved to Flymon and Waspmon respectively. Roger used Bug BuzzMorgan used Turbo StingerBug Buzz Bug Buzz -- Roger creates an awful buzzing noise with his wings that damages a target and causes them to lose their balance and have a harder time aiming. He has to be close and personal with the target to use it, and requires a small break between uses.
TLDR: Moderate damage to target and lowers a Champion's accuracy by 50% for 1 turn. (25% for Ultimates and 10% for Megas). Two turn cool down. Turbo Stinger Morgan fires three bursts from his tail cannon. He can either target one opponent with all three attacks or three different targets. If he's attempting to hit three different targets his accuracy and power all decrease.
TLDR: Moderate damage, three target attack with reduced accuracy or three high damage, high accuracy shots to one target. Two turns to recharge. Cooldowns Bug Buzz: 0/2 Turbo Stinger: 0/2

The moment Layla flinched a scream was the moment Leo was filled with doubt... For second she thought that maybe she raise to conclusions to fast, maybe she was wrong and the forest was playing with her mind again, there was a part of the German that wanted to believe that whoever was in front of her was the real Layla and not a digimon in disguise.
Truth was a little complicated, it was a digimon in disguise but at the same time it seemed that it was Layla all along which meant that Layla wasn't real... Eleonora froze in place eyes widened as she saw the girl stand up and rise up to a 3 meter tall woman with some bat-esque designs, her legs started shaking and a cold feeling crawling up her back due to the imposing aura the digimon was emanating, as the Demon Lord began her monologue Leo regain her composure.
"You are Layla?" She questioned... "That means you've been this the whole time and the one we know was just a facade?" Eleonora's frustration slowly boiling into hate "We where just tools for you to get to this place? Everything we went through the last couple of hours was a joke to you?" That hate then burst into rage "I TRUSTED YOU! I SAW YOU AS A FRIEND LIKE A LITTLE SISTER I HAD TO PROTECT... You... You where the sole reason I made it this far and for you I was nothing but a puppet, am I wrong?" She tried to calm herself at the last second but her anger come back at full force when she saw the digimon was more busy taking a "call" than actually listening to her "PAY ATTENTION TO ME WHEN I'M TALKING, BITCH!" Grabing a rock from the ground she flung it with all her strength aiming at Lilithmon's face
The gears on the other hand stop their drills when they saw both transformations, fighting right now was going to be a terrible idea and somehow their odds of surviving felt even lower than the time they met Bagramon on the forest, fighting this thing was not advisable yet their general seemed too hurt to think logically, of course the gears thought exactly like Morgan the best they could do is to make sure that she doesn't get the flowers so much wants, but their concern was mainly on Leo, having being reunite with their general they went back to their usual way of thinking of not doing anything on their own until an order was commanded.
Fortunately Eleonora was thinking the same, Gurren and Lagann won't be able to harm Devitamamon much less Layla but they do can hit her where it hurts, she went to all this troubles to reach the flowers then that'll be the objective of Gurren and Lagann, sure Mitsuharu, Roger and Morgan will be able to hold up Devitamamon as they all were able to evolve, and for Lilithmon...
"Gurren, Lagann! Burn those flowers down" The gears nodded and quickly float to the flower bed where they'll find Hiroyo "Alright Lay, I'm all alone know so what if we solve this right here? I already punch a digimon I do not fear you" The German stated which was a bad lie she was completely scare, but if it mean buying time for the gears she'll do it.
Both gears reach the flower bed and look at Hiroyo tearing up the soil trying to at least grab one, the twins look at each other confused, on one hand they can't destroy the flowers with Hiroyo in the middle yet they weren't going to disobey a direct order so they kept with the plan
"Miss Oda we politely ask you to get away of the garden so we can burn it down, we would hate for you to be caught on the fire"
Gurren said while it's sibling Lagann started shinning in a mix of orange and red, being just close to the Solarmon Hiroyo would feel the heat the little gear was emanating from the inside whatever it was what was charging she sure wouldn't like to be caught by it
Combat Log Eleonora threw a rock at Lilithmon and then taunt her to get her attention and not focus on the gears
Gurren (Hagurumon X) tries to talk Hiroyo to be out of the flowerbed Lagann (Solarmon X) charges up Solar Burst: Charges energy inside of him before launching a solar blast to the enemy (charge time 1 post, 2 post cooldown)

Post by Tsukiko & The Ashikaga Clan on Feb 8, 2019 20:13:50 GMT
She just stood there. Tsukiko just watched everything develop right in front of her. At first, completely untouched by Layla’s panic attack. Then, completely flabbergasted at her transformation into a huge, imposing digimon. What was originally pure amazement at the digimon’s appearance turned into sheer, vivid fear. The energy that surrounded this creature was nothing like anything Tsukiko had felt before. It was absolutely overwhelming. Her heart started beating faster than ever and it just got a lot harder to breathe.
Mitsuharu, a bit desperate, managed to take his eyes off the monster lady and into Tsukiko for some seconds. His master was paralyzed, completely stunned. It was the first time he had seen her like this. His eyes went back to the demon. For some reason, even if it was terrifying, it was almost impossible to not look at her, to refrain from admiring her beauty.
If there was anything necessary to convince herself than Babamon was an ally in all of this, that had occurred when the Babamon attacked Layla in a futile attempt. However, Tsukaimon’s transformation just made everything worst.
“What is… that thing?” It definitely didn’t look like any creature Mitsuharu had seen before. Still a bit froze and bestowing a set of sluggish movements, Tsukiko reached for her D-Terminal, analyzing both digimon. Lilithmon and Devitamamon. Her eyes widened up when she noticed Mitsuharu’s hand was actually shaking a bit. There was something in her partner’s portrait she had never seen before: fear.
Oddly enough, seeing her partner in panic, helped her realize she had to remain calm to get out of this situation. Or at least having a chance at it. Of course, easier said than done, but giving orders would be a good start.
“Listen to me, Mitsuharu.” She muttered, while Tsukaimon finished her horrid transformation. “I understand what you believe in. And I believe in exactly the same. Running away from a fight is not the code we stand by in our clan.” She spoke slowly, taking short pauses. “But I can assure you, as the leader of this family: There is no way we can beat these monsters right now. So it is not worth getting ourselves killed because of Lilithmon’s plan.” She took a deep breath and her eyes went to Devitamamon again. “So once I give the order; we need to retreat. No matter what, okay?”
Mitsuharu just remained silent, tightening his grip on his blade.
“Having said this and until that moment comes…” Tsukiko’s eyes were all over the place. She noticed how each of the members of the team had gotten in motion. Given the situation, she was very much aware of what was her objective right now. “Ashikagas, Stand up!”
Mitsuharu roared. He grabbed his Axe tight and started spinning around his own axis. His elliptic movement was slow at first, once he gained speed, it was like a giant slashing twister, moving toward the aberration. Maybe their three techniques combined could somehow damage this monster and stop him for a bit.
Tsukiko, on her side, ran at full throttle with her eyes fixed on Babamon. Once she reached the elder, she crouched to speak to her.
“This is your garden, you live here, right?” If someone could give any insight or had any type of information that could help them get out of this situation alive, it was Babamon. “Do you know this creature?” She asked her, while looking at Lilithmon. “Do we have any chance at escaping from her? Maybe using the fog? Come on! You’ve got to know something we don’t. There’s got to be something, please!”
Anything would do right now.
Combat log:
Itto-ryu; Steel Twister: Mitsuharu starts spinning around his own axis, using his sword and moving towards the opponent, he will keep spinning during one more turn. While he spins, he just takes 50% of the damage he would normally take. 5 posts cooldown.

As soon as the buzz rang out from Roger's wings, Devitamamon stopped her gleeful charge. She immediately reared back on her legs, frantically trying to clasp her oversized claws over her ear-holes. With how disproportionately long her arms were, it almost looked hilarious. That left her sides open for Morgan's laser volley, each shot causing her to stagger back a little bit more in the last. Finally Mitsuharu came in like a whirlwind, each swing of his spinning blade causing the tottering Devitamamon to stagger more. A final spinning slam was enough to send the Devitamamon tipping right over. It landed on its back, wings, arms, and legs flailing in a panic as it started looking around.
"You guys don't play fair," she whined, rocking back and forth to try and stand up. Her movements were wobbly and disorderly, effects that Morgan would clearly recognize as those of a successful Bug Buzz. Yet, why was a Digimon as high level as Devitamamon so badly effected? Its eyes were swimming in all directions, and it seemed barely able to remember where its legs were.
Unfortunately, it didn't seem to need to. Rather than rock back onto its feet, it bent its arms backwards and assumed a crab-walk style stance. Its jaw pried open to a massive degree as shadowy tendrils spilled out of its mouth. It was almost as if Devitamamon had a dozen tongues. They began flailing in every direction, snapping like whips as they did so. Slowly, shakily, Devitamamon began crab walking towards Mitsuharu. "If you guys don't play nice, I'm gonna get real mad," she said, words muffled by the shadowy mass in her mouth.
All the while, Lilithmon seemed more wrapped up in her call than in the affairs in those non-demonic figures present. She shook her head, almost in disbelief at the person on the other line. "Of course I manifested. Who cares if it isn't fair? Do you really think anyone else is waiting?" she asked. "Wait, how did you even know I manifested? Have . . . have you been spying on me?"
She shot the group a wry, tired smile. "Men, am I right?" she asked. It was so casual, that it almost sounded as if she wasn't trying to kill them.
Leo didn't forget, though. In fact, right when Lilithmon turned to say that, Leo's rock met its mark. This time there was no dodging, no blocking, and no demonic power at work, as Lilithmon had done to Babamon's staff. Instead it just smack directly into Lilithmon's forehead, falling with a hollow thud. The expression on her face was unreadable, her eyes widening and her smile growing longer. She didn't say a word for the longest time.
Then an uproarious laugh cut through the woods. It didn't seem to be a sound. It didn't come in any direction besides the center of everyone's minds. It sounded like a young man's laugh, hardened and pointedly cruel. Lilithmon seemed to hear the worst of it, considering that she flat-out cringed when the laugh rung out. However, even those at the fringes of the battlefield were still exposed to the laugh. Lilithmon let out a very frustrated huff, then promptly turned back to the group, muttering "Beelze-jackass" under her breath. At the very least, Leo had gotten her off of the call.
Unfortunately, it was Solarmon X that had gotten the most of Lilithmon's attention. She followed the glowing gear's line of sight, towards the bed of flowers that Hiroyo was currently rooting around in. And as she watched this, she saw Gurren about to open his mouth.
"Miss Oda, we simply cannot forgive you for siding with this witch. It pains us to do this, but . . . "
That wasn't what Gurren said at all. And nobody else would hear that little alteration. However, Hiroyo would hear it loud and clear. What was a warning aimed her way would instead warp into a condemnation. How would Hiroyo react to it? Would she panic? Would she disbelieve what she heard? Or would she take comfort in the bats that swarmed to her side in order to protect her? They fluttered in great masses from Lilithmon's sleeves, forming a wall between her Hiro and the wicked Solarmon X.
With these the battle lines drawn, who would Hiroyo believe in?
That just left Eleonora. Lilithmon turned back to her, the rigid smile returning to her face. "I'm sorry, Leo," her voice like a dagger slathered in honey. "I've been neglecting you, haven't I?" She slowly, inevitably floated towards the girl, the only sign of movement being her hair softly rippling in the wind. When she approached, it wasn't to attack the girl but instead to try and gently caress her cheek, the smile on her face softening.
And then Lilithmon's eyes burned. "You want my undivided attention? Then listen," she said, voice barely above a whisper yet echoing louder in Leo's ear than any sound she had previously heard. "You are dead. The moment I laid my hands on you, you have perished. Now you are but a wandering wraith, doomed to walk the Digital World. Your Digimon, your will, your freedom . . . these are still yours alone. But your humanity has forever been stolen from you on this day." And then she parted from Leo, not having done a single thing to her.
And yet . . . Leo would feel so strange upon hearing this, would she not?
With both Hiroyo and Leo in a rather compromised state, the Ashikaga Clan's firmness and focus on their duty stuck out all the more strongly. Babamon smiled at Tsukiko as she came to her side. She protectively setting a hand on the girl in case Lilithmon cast her baleful gaze over to them. "Know this creature? She's a spitting image of me in my prime!" Babamon said, an almost proud smile spreading across her face. "I almost forgot how much of a looker I was back then. Ah, memories . . ."
Perhaps these seemed the rambles of a doddering old woman. But Babamon knew well what she was talking about, because not long after her trip down memory lane she continued. "Lilithmon are mental manipulators first and foremost. What they lack in direct strength, they make up for in their charm, guile, and iron grip over your senses. Not that she isn't a Demon Lord, of course, so it's really only less strength than her peers. She's still a good deal stronger than any Digimon you've seen.
As for escape . . . well, this forest has been a bit of a battleground between the two of us, so to speak. I knew this new Lust'd be coming after me sooner or later, and that until the time came to reveal herself I'd have way more power to bear over this forest than she would. But now that she's letting her full power loose, she's gonna be the one this forest falls under the sway of. So whatever you do, don't trust the fog. I can tamper best I can, but I warn you I'm not gonna be the one who wins.
Then again, if my old eyes aren't failing me, the ring of fog's been broken in at least one spot. She'll be able to see you either way, so that might be your best route."
Combat Log: Devitamamon is hit by the barrage of attacks! While mostly unharmed, he seems very rattled. In response he begins lashing out in quite literally every direction, tendrils of darkness snaking from his mouth. Noncombat Passive - Mind of a ChildStatus effect moves seem strangely effective despite being from lower-level Digimon. Odd. Angry EruptionThere are a bunch of shadowy tentacles haphazardly lashing out in every direction. Devitamamon continues to stagger towards the party while doing this. Lilithmon is pegged by a rock, and seems very, very unhappy with this. However, for the time being she keeps her cool. She guides a swarm of bats to shield her Hiro from the flame, just in case she doesn't find the presence to get there herself. Of course, Hiroyo doesn't seem to know the finer points of the plan . . . Noncombat Passive - Careless WhisperThe things Hiroyo hears don't exactly seem to match with little things like "reality." Night's SymphonyWhere Lilithmon points, bats follow. Is their willingness to rush into the flame loyalty or stupidity? She then rushes at Leo, looking deep into her eyes before describing a rather unnerving fate. Empress' CommandWith her eyes ablaze and her voice compelling, Lilithmon has made a decree. And with it, it seems your perception is no longer your own . . . Wait, did Lilithmon just attack two times in one turn? That's against the rules! Passive - Demonic HasteYou cheatsy bitch.

Post by Hiroyo Oda on Feb 11, 2019 18:13:35 GMT
The world had narrowed to her fingers in the dirt and the flowers growing around her. They were not the only thing that mattered, but they were very important to the one who mattered the most at this moment. Hiroyo worked feverently at loosening the soil around the plants, freeing the roots from confinement as she thought about the warmth of Layla's hug and the acknowledgement she had received earlier. She wanted that again. The Gears' voices broke through her focus and she stilled in her digging. They couldn't forgive her? They were going to burn her with the flowers? A noise somewhere between a sob and a laugh escaped her mouth. She wrapped her hands around the stem of two the plants and got her feet beneath her. With a grunt of effort she pushed herself upright and pulled the plants free of the ground as she rose. "So, there's no chance of bargaining, you think?" She asked, her voice shaking. Hiroyo turned to face the gears, her eyes wide with fear but the line of her body was set. She intended to stay where she was, come scorn or flame. And then the bats arrived. She raised her head toward Layla, her expression one of worshipful appreciation. If the gears hadn't caught on to her altered mindset before they might now, assuming they understood such things. Hiroyo's expression grew hard as she watched Layla approach Leo. With flick of her hand she scattered dirt across the gears as she pointed at the sight. Her voice was stern and steady, and there was a trace of anger in it as she yelled. "Roger! Get her away from Layla!" Her attention snapped to the gears then, her expression triumphant behind the living screen of bats as she addressed them. "What's more important, your general or the flowers? I put your general first, will you do the same?"
Roger had been enjoying toying with Devitamamon. Granted it was the kind of fierce, frantic glee that came from the realization one was balanced on a knife's edge and the slightest misstep meant a maiming at least but it was his kind of fun. The dangerous and slightly stupid kind! So to say he had been impressed when Eleonora nailed Lilithmon in the forehead with a rock would be an understatement. His laughter had joined that of the mysterious caller -although he would put money on his guess as to who that was and didn't this just keep getting better and better?- without restraint. Such guts! Although maybe it was ignorance, had the blonde known just who she was throwing a rock at? Regardless, when the call came - "Roger!"-he was happy to oblige, it meant taking him away from those awful thrashing tendrils that hurt so much. "Sorry rotten potato but I'm too busy to play! I've got blonde to save!" Roger cried out as he zipped straight above the egg. For a moment he hovered, a fine purple haze falling from his wings, then he darted away to the real drama. He couldn't get there in time to keep Lilithmon from reaching out. He couldn't hear the words she whispered. He knew it couldn't be good. The Flymon ground his beak as he pulled up just behind Eleonora, his wings going still as he landed heavily. "Sorry to cut in, but I'd rather not see her guts literally! C'mon, blondie!" Roger snarked as he reached out with a claw and attempted to snag Eleonora in his grip. If successful at his grab he would push off the ground and attempt to rise high enough skyward to put him beyond Lilithmon's physical reach. It wouldn't be safety, but it might be the first step towards it.
Things were rapidly spiralling out of control and Morgan was finally positive that they had never been in control in the first place. This fight with Devitamamon appeared to be going their way but he couldn't help but feel it was a ruse. The pressure the egg put off was too much to be a champion or even an ultimate but Morgan couldn't begin to guess the trick. It was infuriating and terrifying, especially when he saw his brother stagger in mid-air from the force of Devitamamon's blows, nearly dropping from the air. He was lucky, he was high enough to fly just a little farther out of reach. He nodded as his brother flew past to save the human with a death wish, a potentially useless effort (how could a Champion hope to outmaneuver a Demon Lord?) but he could not afford to argue with his brother about it now. Roger would need support, and as foolish of a move as his next action would be there was really no other choice. "Mitsuharu, we are about to be violently outmatched. Extracting the humans should be a priority." He called. The Ashikagas had proven themselves reliable, and even know a quick glance around the area showed that Tsukiko at least appeared to be acting in a sensible manner. Not like Hiroyo who had gotten herself trapped. Morgan had only glanced in her direction and at the flowers in her hands and the bats and the gears but he felt pretty confident that he could guess what had happened. Eleonora had called to destroy the flowers and Hiroyo had moved to do just that, neglecting to consider that she would be literally stepping into the firing lines of her companions. Now the bats had closed in and she was trapped in the fire zone. Stupid, but even she should be able to survive as long as she didn't do something stupid like attack the bats. From his second look at the scene it hadn't looked like the bats were attacking, merely corralling her in with the flowers. The situation wasn't nearly as dire as the stupidity Roger was about to pull. Morgan turned his back on Devitamamon where he hovered high in the air. He had tuned out the egg's whining long ago. He wanted focus for this, he would need to hope his attack did something even as he knew in the depths of its core that it wouldn't. He watched Roger approach, watched his brother touch down and, his sights clear, fired. A blue light flew from his stinger cannon, aimed right at Lilithmon's back. It wasn't particularly strong but he wasn't intending to hurt her anyways. He just wanted her attention. A stupid, stupid thing when dealing with a Demon Lord, much less the Demon Lord of Lust.
Combat Log Hiroyo rips two plants out of the ground annnnd doesn't get out of the line of fire because she's not that smart sometimes. Whoops. Roger
Took a lot of damage from Devitamamon. Uses Poison Dust on Devitamamon then flies off to try to snag up his new favorite human away from Lilithmon. Poison Dust TLDR: Immobilizes Champions for 1 turns, Ultimates suffer a 25% speed debuff, Megas a 5% speed debuff. Deals small amounts of damage for 3 turns. 4 turn cool down. Morgan
Avoided Devitamamon's attack. Doesn't practice what he preaches! Uses Laser Shot on Lilithmon because dammit Roger! Laser Shot Morgan fires a quick shot from his cannon at the enemy. Its not very damaging. Cooldowns RogerBug Buzz: 1/2 Poison Dust: 0/4 MorganTurbo Stinger: 1/2

Completely oblivious to what was happening around her and fueled by her anger Leo threw a rock at Lilithmon and hit her objective but was that the right thing to do? The moment the stone hit the forehead of the Demon Lord the blonde regret every single life choice she had make up to that moment, her eyes widened in terror when she realize that she had pretty much sign her death sentence, she didn't even hear the hysterical laugh of some one else finding her reckless act hilarious.
Eleonora saw Lilithmon moving towards her and every single instinct the German had was screaming "RUN" but for some reason she wasn't able to move, with her bravado gone the fear reach every single corner of the blonde's body freezing her in place unable to run, to scream or anything that wasn't just follow the Demon Lord's track with her eyes, soon Layla was right in front of her caressing her cheek in a way it felt relaxing and reassuring but what immediately follow fill the German with fear...
"You are DEAD. The moment I laid my hands on you, you have PERISHED. Now you are but a wandering wraith, doomed to walk the Digital World. Your Digimon, your will, your freedom . . . these are still yours alone. But your HUMANITY has forever been STOLEN from you on this day."
Those words echoed through Leo's head in a loop as a pulsating pain grew inside of her... For a second everything froze in place for the blonde and the only sound she was able to hear was her beating heart which sounded normal at first but slowly started going faster and faster, her eyes widened and the girl started to tear up a little as she understood what was happening... She took a quick glance at herself in denial she couldn't be dead, right? No this was just a trick Digimon can't be this powerful, can they? At first her body was normal but suddenly she suffer a quick spasm and her body glitched out a little.
"You... I... No... No this is not happening... I can't... No...." Eleonora fell to her knees and started crying... "This shouldn't have happened... I am an idiot... I screw it up again... My whole goal was an impossible task since the beginning... But I thought that if... If I get more familiar with the digital world I'd be able to make it.. I should've stay in Berlin with my grandparents and never move away..."
Soon the German was taken out of the ground and up to the skies thanks to Roger, that made her snap out of her out of that state and be brought back to the whole scene, she still heard her hear beating and although the pulsating pain was growing from her chest to the rest of her body she was still able to make something to stop the plans of Layla a last ditch effort.
The Gurren and Lagann had a dilemma in their way, as Hiroyo has not move a single inch and grabbed two flowers and it kinda sound that she order Roger to move their general more for herself to have a hostage rather than to save her, Solarmon X had finally fully charge it's attack and was ready to release it while Hagurumon X tried to talk her out again.
"We will assume you are NOT threatening us Ms Oda, I will warn you one last time leave the flowers and move out of the way my other half will not be able to hold the attack much lon─" Gurren stop itself when the voice of Eleonora was hear across the sky
"GURREN! LAGANN! No matter what happens or what is on the middle DESTROY ALL THE FLOWERS THAT'S MY LAST ORDER AND GIVE IT TOP PRIORITY!"
That was the last straw an order of max priority this meant that no matter what was on the way this order shall be followed, Gurren move to a side where the bats and Hiroyo didn't obstruct his view and quickly shoot his drills to the rest of the flower bed, Lagann on the other hand simply open its mouth and release the burning energy stored inside of him would the bats be able to shield Hiroyo or will she be burned by the attack of Solarmon X?
Still hovering thanks to Roger the German girl look at him eyes still tearing and say "I'm so sorry... But we can't risk the Demon Lord getting the flowers..." Now only one thing remains and knowing that no matter what she do her life has gone and is just about minutes she'll be nothing. "Look Roger, I know it might sound crazy and probably you don't want to listen to me anymore but... I need you to drop me on top of her I'll slow her down all I can" But Roger didn't seemed to be listening or if he did he might be confuse on what to do after possibly seeing her tamer being burned and now this crazy girl trying to throw away her life attacking Lilithmon again. "COME ON ROGER WE DON'T HAVE TIME TO LOSE I'M GONNA BE A DEAD WEIGHT IN ANY MI─!"
Eleonora felt a discharge of electricity run through her body and she glitched out again, some small particles of data flew by her face and when she look down to see the rest of her body the blonde saw the same data particles flying from her, ripping out part of her body, the part of her body missing looked like wire-frames before starting to vanish too, the beats of her heart slowly stopping until just silence the pulsating pain evolve into a burning feeling as if her whole body burst into flames and slowly was crisping and turning into nothing, she look Roger one more time tears streaming down her eyes.
"It's too late.... Tell everyone that I'm sorry for screwing this up.... I'm sorry... I'm so─" And then she vanish...
Of course that was all Leo's mind, the girl was fine and still being carried by Roger but her whole body was limp and motionless, like she said just a dead weight....
Combat Log

Post by Tsukiko & The Ashikaga Clan on Feb 13, 2019 2:07:48 GMT
It was impossible to say there wasn't a tad of anger towards Hiroyo coming from Tsukiko at first, compromising the mission like this and everything. However, that talk with Babamon had helped her understand the red-haired beauty was not herself right now, and all of her actions were like the ones of a child. Thanks to his spinning, Mitsuharu had managed to withstand the sort of whipping tentacles flying his way. However, the damage had been sustained and the Dinohumon had to step back and stop his spinning. The pain those lashes had caused didn’t feel like much at first but as time passed, he noticed how his skin started to burn. Time was of the essence. Morgan was right, if he kept fighting, it wouldn't be long before he would be laid out by these… monsters. The turn of recent events had both bewildered Tsukiko and gave her a clear insight regarding what she was supposed to do. Just imaging herself in Eleonora or Hiroyo’s shoes was absolutely terrifying. One having a face-off with the demon while the other one being lusted into something extremely dangerous. The amount of power this creature bestowed was out of this world. Nevertheless, the developing of the situation helped Tsukiko realize there was one, only one advantage they had against this monster. And even if she had slowly hindered their possibilities, it was still there. This was it. It was the time for a counterattack, and it had to be done now, and it had to be done swiftly. Tsukiko’s eyes went to Babamon. She trusted the elder. She had to, or they wouldn’t stand a chance. She took a deep breath and went for it. Only for Babamon to see: “Listen… I know you might not trust us, or might think we’re not ready to do this. But… we’re Roger’s friends. We’re only humans. And… we’re going to die here if you don’t help us.” She started whispering, her blue eyes analyzing the situation. “You’re our best choice to distract Layla. You’re the only one who even remotely has a chance of gaining some time against her in a fair fight. I need you to draw those bats away from Hiroyo, I need her to be wide open. Make Layla use them to attack you or do whatever you need to do. If you grant us one second of an unprotected Hiroyo, we’ll make it.” Even if it might no seem like it, Layla trusting Hiroyo to carry the flowers was a mistake. She was laying that responsibility into someone a lot weaker than her, and that could be their ticket out. Tsukiko went on to explain herself a bit better. “I will approach Hiroyo, I’ll try to make her think I’m on her side. I know she’s not thinking straight, so she might not trust me. That’s fine. I don’t need her to trust me, I just need Layla to let me approach her. If that's done because of your distraction or because of my act, I couldn't care less.” She made a small pause. “I guess what I'm trying to say is... please, please trust me and my digimon.”
Was this asking for too much? It was likely. But did Babamon really have a choice? She was under the same predicament, wasn’t she? Tsukiko hoped she was. Because that would form the alliance they needed.
“If you do… I’ll get you those two flowers Hiroyo has. How you make a run for it once you have them, it’s completely up to you.” She winked at the elder, before standing back up. If they were lucky, the other flowers had been destroyed, so those weren't a problem anymore.
“Mitsuharu!” Tsukiko yelled. The Dinohumon looked at her for a second. With a bit of luck, that thing that was formerly Tsukaimon had been slowed down by Roger and Lilithmon would be at least a bit distracted by Morgan’s attack to see the pink-haired girl lips moving, even if she didn’t utter any words. The Dinohumon, however, gave her a nod. “Enough!” Mitsuharu would leap forward, regardless of the damage he had to sustain from Devitamamon, trying to take advantage of the monster being somewhat slowed. He would step between Hiroyo and Lagann, facing the Solarmon. “This needs to stop. You can’t attack a helpless human like this.”Tsukiko, would walk towards the scene too, slowly approaching Mitsuharu and Hiroyo. “He’s right. This is futile. Are we going to kill each other just because of some flowers?” She asked, rhetorically. “If it gives us any chance at living, I say we give Layla the flowers. After all, we were hired to do that. My code of honor wouldn’t let me betray my boss just because some things changed. If we give her these flowers, Lilithmon might actually spare our lives.”If she successfully reached Hiroyo, Tsukiko would stand next to her. “It’s alright, Hiroyo. No one is going to hurt you anymore. I won’t allow it.”How Hiroyo and Layla reacted to this, was very important. Combat Log:Thanks to Itto-ryu; Steel Twister, Mitsuharu only takes half of the damage he would have taken from Devitamamon's technique. However, he still takes heavy damage. Then, Mitsuharu leaps forward to stand between Hiroyo and Lagann. Keeping himself very close to the human. In case he manages to get there before Lagann shoots his Solar Burst, he'll also sustain that damage for Hiroyo. Tsukiko slowly walks towards Mitsuharu and Hiroyo, trying to approach them as much as the situation allows her to.

The Devitamamon froze up as poison spored rained down on her shell. Her already-diminished movements started to slow to a crawl, her fingers and toes dragging trails into the dirt with each ponderous movement. Soon her limbs had locked up on her entirely. As soon as she realized her predicament her mouth tore open in an ear-piercing scream. The tentacles around her mouth began to spasm and undulate as her eyes practically bulged out of her head. "Meanies!" she shouted, voice slightly slurred from the dizzying buzz and muffled from the paralysis setting in over her body. "I just wanted to play tag! Stop! Bullying! Me!"
Maybe her bug-eyed expression was comedic at first. However, Devitamamon's eyes started bulging far past the point of silliness. Soon they had swelled up to the size of boxing gloves, their yellow color decaying to a pitch black. It was as if a bunch of hives were expanding out of Devitamamon's face. Then, once fully "ripened," they fell right off of Devitamamon's face. They bounced as they hit the ground, moving in an unpredictably towards pretty much any Digimon on the battlefield. While their paths were shaky and slow-moving, it was still pandemonium on the battlefield: at least 20 of these orbs must have started bouncing around at once.
As Devitamamon made her attack, Lilithmon's bats swarmed around Hiroyo. Their eyes glowed as brightly as Solarmon's flaming surface. However, as they packed in to form a dense shield around Hiroyo, it seemed another challenger had taken up their role. Mitsuharu had slid right between Lagaan and Hiroyo. They let out palpable sighs of release as their formation loosened. A few that were previously close to the flame even took the time to hide behind Mitsuharu. Would Lagaan heed his general's order and fire despite Mitsuharu's presence, or would he hold his fire and avoid toasting two friends for the price of one?
It was only when Gurren launched his bomb that the swarm snapped back into action. Immediately they broke to the left, leaving Hiroyo's side to protect the flower patch. Furry black bodies rushed towards the drills with the discipline of a soldier's platoon. Each bat that didn't join the initial rush hung back, raising their wings like shields in preparation for the aftershock of Gurren's bombs. The screen of bats buckled as the explosion was set off, vanishing from sight as smoke filled the air.
When the dust had settled, the bats were standing firm. A few charred bats fell from the swarm, dispersing into data as they hit the ground, but for the most part the swarm was intact. The bat heading the swarm blew a brief raspberry at Gurren, but otherwise remained on standby. If they could attack on their own, they sure weren't taking that opportunity.
Lilithmon smiled in satisfaction. Her mental conditioning on Hiroyo had worked perfectly. The conditioning she forced on Eleonora had worked even better. The despair in her eyes as she convulsed like a corpse was exactly what the rock-slinging brat had deserved. And now, Tsukiko was agreeing to a ceasefire without any other push needed. Any dissent in the little party had either been charmed away or crushed beneath her heel. When Lilithmon had cupped her hand on Leo's face, the girl would have noticed that her arm was surprisingly tensed. All of that tension had melted away now. Even Lilithmon's strained smile eased back to its previous state.
All of that went out the window when Morgan shot at her. The laser dispersed right into Lilithmon's robe, not even leaving a mark on the Demon Lord. She dropped from her floating position above the ground, sighing in a mix of frustration and amusement. If anyone was facing Lilithmon, they'd notice she had even rolled her eyes after the attack. "You're joking," she said, voice dry as the Sahara. She turned to Morgan, the look on her face less one of frustration and more one of exasperation. "You didn't honestly think that would hurt me, did you? And if you're trying to get me away from your human, you must already know my Familiar Bats have that little matter covered. So, what is this, then? Jealousy? Frustration? Or just some poor, lost little bee trying to play hero?" As she said this Lilithmon stepped towards Morgan. She quite literally looked down at him as she spoke, leaning in an almost taunting fashion. Was she daring the bee to make his move?
She had barely leaned for five seconds before something hit her right on the back of the head.
Lilithmon wheeled around, her previous sigh intensifying to a frustrated groan. "Will you people stop throwing things at m-?" she started to ask, only to be silenced as she realized there was a rotten apple settled at her feet. Quickly Lilithmon tugged her arm to her face, covering her mouth and nose as the apple exploded into a perfume-scented purple gas. Her eyes burned like white coals, visible even through the dense purple cloud. It was clear that she was looking for her new target.
On the other side of the cloud stood Babamon, triumphantly tossing an apple up and down. "It's called a distraction, you stupid little girl!" she said, cackling a little. "Or do you still think you're too high and mighty to worry about those?"
The cloud dispersed in an instant, Lilithmon slicing through it with a thrust of her arm like a knife through hot butter. "Oh, no no no," she said. "I just thought this sad, cowardly shell of a past vessel would know what was good for her and keep out of this. But if you're in such a hurry to gain your old power back, I could always load you and oblige.
Babamon tossed her remaining apple aside. In its place, she drew the two broken halves of her broom from behind her back. "I'd like to see you try," she hissed. She motioned with the broom in her front hand for Lilithmon to approach.
The Demon Lord was all too happy to oblige, springing off of her back foot with surprising speed. As soon as she did so Babamon averted her eyes, drawing up both fragments of her broom to block a smash from Lilithmon's clawed gauntlet. One half of the broom parried the gauntlet, while the other thrust forward to smack at Lilithmon's exposed side. Unfortunately, Lilithmon saw this coming, and slid away from Babamon with a grace that left her spinning. The two twirled apart like dance partners, only for Lilithmon to lift her leg in mid spin. As soon as Babamon was back in fighting range, Lilithmon smashed a brutal axe kick down onto Babamon's head.
The old witch hit the ground hard, but defiantly rose back onto a single knee. "Is that the best hit a Demon Lord can pull off?" she wheezed, forcing a laugh out between ragged coughs. "And here I thought I'd wasted my power. Compared to you, I might as well have been a legend!" Lilithmon's answer was to punt Babamon away with the hell of her foot, sending the witch sliding right back towards her hunt. Fists balled into a white-knuckled grip, she stalked after Babamon, each footstep echoing through a worryingly silent forest.
If Tsukiko wanted Babamon to take Lilithmon's attention, she had sure gotten it.
Combat Log: Devitamamon is stunned by Roger's poisonous powder. In response, her eyes begin bulging out of her body, bouncing towards each of this thread's participants. Noncombat Passive - Mind of a ChildIt wasn't a fluke! 2 status moves, 2 full effects. Pan-Fried DemoniumDevitamamon's eyes bulge right out of her body, 20 in total, before taking the form of shadowy orbs that bounce around the battlefield. The Bug Buzz has their accuracy scrambled up, but touching them seems like a bad, bad idea. Lilithmons' bats loosen their formation and quiet down, but do not disperse just yet. With Hiroyo no longer under attack, they break to the side to repel Gurren's bomb. b]Night's Symphony[/b] How long does this attack last? The bats don't show any signs of going away right now. However, the swarm does have a dent in it thanks to Gurren's bomb, so it clearly has its limits. Lilithmon herself is interrupted in mid-posturing by a rancid apple to the back of the head, courtesy of Babamon. In frustration Lilithmon rushes at her previous incarnation, the two engaging in a spot of hand-to-hand combat. Babamon may have scored the sneak attack, but Lilithmon seems to have the upper hand for now. Bad AppleDon't breathe this! Dominance SmashThose spin-kicks from Lilithmon seem devastating. If they can leave a former Demon Lord knocked for such a loop, a normal Digimon would be left an awful state after taking such a hit. Lustful -Sign-: Bewitching VisageBabamon is averting her eyes from Lilithmon despite being in the middle of a fight against her. There must be a reason behind this, right? Passive - Demonic HasteWell, at least this time she only attacked once, right?

As soon as Solarmon open it's mouth and the flames start coming out Mitsuharu step in the middle as much as Lagann tried to stop it or move out of the way but it was a little too late and the Dinohumon would receive the attack, fortunately he should be able to take the attack of a weaker rookie, thanks to Tsukiko and Mitsuharu Hiroyo and the two flowers she's holding are fine, not only that but seeing the shield they have now the bats move to protect the flower bed which made the total number of flowers destroyed a big and rotund zero...
"Why? She is trying to kill us!" "It's illogical to see her as a boss and honor our part of the contract"
For a second their voices break their robotic speech and their tone was one more of frustration and desperation, are this the same gears that act calm and prioritizing logic over anything? Did Eleonora's last order made them change the way they act?
"We have orders to destroy the flowers no matter what happens nor what or who is on the middle... MOVE OUT OF THE WAY!" "Our loyalty is with our general and we will follow her orders until the end"
Solarmon looked more adamant to keep the fight if needed true it is a bad idea to fight Mitsuharu knowing that they can't do anything to him, Hagurumon on the other hand while he also will follow the last order as is in high priority the way his last line was said gave a little hint that hope the others will understand and take advantage once the unconscious German wakes up.
Lagann will make his drill spin and get ready to shoot them either Mitsuharu moves out of the way or he'll have to tank another attack, at the moment he was going to shoot Gurren tackle him out of the way making so when he shoot the drills they will pass Mitsuharu and the two humans going directly to the flower bed behind them
"Sorry, it was not intentional, I did it to evade the attack of Devitamamon" He said pushing it's sibling out of the way from the orbs bouncing in their direction, the black gear would wait for the orb to be a little of the the way befor going back to his side of the flower bed to shoot his Darkness Gear towards it even if their attacks are weak the wall of bat will have to split to take both attacks which can weak their strong defense, and still the group now needs to be aware of their surroundings as a couple of orbs starts bouncing in their direction closing in.
As for the general well... She was still hanging like a rag doll from Roger, even if the bug try to shake her to wake up he won't get an answer, from time to time her body will twitch a little but still motionless most of the time.
Combat Log Eleonora is still unconscious and will be like that for one more post
Lagann uses Crash Device and when it was about to shoot Gurren push him out of the way making it so the attack doesn't go to Mitsuharu or the humans but the unprotected side of flower bed
Crash Device: Shoot the drills on its side like missiles, the drills explode with the most minimal contact (2 post cooldown)
Gurren Follows this by shooting with an attack of his own to the already protected side of the flowerbed
Darkness Gear: Shoot several dark gears from its mouth
Cooldowns
Gurren's Crash Device 1/2 Lagann's Solar Burst 1/2

"Trying to kill us? All she's done is turn into something other than human and everyone threw a giant hissy fit!" Hiroyo snapped, her fingers curling tighter around the flowers in her hand and strangling them. Frustration bubbled up in her chest, why was everyone so quick to violence in this awful world? Wasn't there enough of that already? But the bats had left her when Mitsuharu stepped in. At first she drew back, watching his back warily. Tsukiko spoke and Hiroyo look in her direction, a tentative smile on her face. She flipped her hair back behind her ear and stood a little straighter. "Thank you. Someone needs to look reasonably at the situation! Everyone's overreacting, what Layla did is no different than using a holosuit!" She complained, then shot a question directly Tsukiko's way. Would the other woman see or point or discard it as nonsense? "Would you treat every digimon who used one like Eleonora is?"The sudden back up didn't keep her from flinching as the drills flew off course and into the flowers. They weren't even trying to be calm about the situation! If they just settled down and made the slightest effort to talk things out than things wouldn't have gotten so out of hand! The black spheres bouncing around the area rattled Hiroyo and she backed towards the flaming remains of the flower bed as they drew near. "That, that disgusting egg-thing is out of control!"
Roger had his claws full and his mind was busy. Hiroyo had ordered him to grab Eleonora and get the blonde away from Lilithmon, then the blonde had ordered her gears to fire despite the fact Hiroyo was between them and the flowers. To top it all off the German had made a really unreasonable request then fainted before he had a chance to respond! "The nerve of some people! Asking impossible favors and then fainting..."
Then again Roger liked guts like that, although the owner of said guts was now suspiciously silent and limp and so much dead weight in his arms. It made flying difficult: he wasn't the fastest or most aerodynamic to begin witih and now her limp body was screwing with his airstream even more! Whatever, he still had his mobility and oh Sukamon was he going to need it. Black bombs were bouncing across the area, spat out by that horrid potato-egg. Hiroyo was yelling about something - he caught the words 'overreacting' and 'holosuit' and hissed in annoyance, she really didn't understand anything that was going on! Too bad, so sad, time for them to make like the crew from a heist movie and blow this joint! Whether she wanted to or not! "Morgan! I'm evacuating the General! Get Hiroyo out!" Roger cried, his words ending with a yelp as one of the bouncing balls came perilously close to impacting with his cargo. A quick twist in the air and he threw himself to the side and barely eased past it, a wingtip coming periously close to hitting it. He wobbled in the air afterwards, his wings barely able to keep him aloft. He weaved like a drunk staggering home from the bar, his path returning him again and again to that thinning of fog in the tree like. Screw this, he was gone! He could trust Morgan to pick up Hiroyo but he wasn't doing anything more. They'd figure out whether blondie had been in the wrong or not after they got somewhere safe. He was injured enough, it was time to leave.
As twin lances of light struck Lilithmon and the Demon Lord turned as if to face him, Morgan could feel his core freeze. Internal warnings flared to life and he silently started a counter to the end of his life. Then Babamon intervened and suddenly Morgan thought he understood why his brother liked her so much. Devitamamon was making a commotion again, Morgan wasn't surprised. He didn't want to take his eyes off from the fight between the two other strongest digimon on the field but a couple black spheres bounced into his vision, heading in the vague direction of the edge of the clearing and he had to turn around to see what fresh headache Devitamamon had spawned. Spawned was a very apt description for the mass of black spheres that were now scattering across the area. His engine whined as he rose into the air. His brother's words carried after him, and he looked in that direction just in time to see Roger messily dodge one of the many spheres that were now littering the area. This was going to be tricky. "Have you considered that we do not wish to play?" Morgan asked Devitamamon as he passed overhead, dropping lower in the air. Might as well take advantage of the Devitamamon's state, although something about that didn't sit right with him. Oh well. "Flash Fusion!" He flipped his jets into position and flames billowed toward the egg. He was quick to snap his engines back into their normal position and continue his flight toward the group, it wouldn't take him long. "Hiroyo, we are leaving!" He called. The red head turned toward him, grimacing in the process. No doubt it was the sight of Devitamamon that caused that expression: he knew quite well how unnerved she was by certain physical forms that were present in the digital world. At least he had her attention - his physical form was going to make picking her up rather tricky. Her eyes widened, time slowed down. Her mouth opened, she dropped a flower. He watched this all impassively. His internal sensors calculated the angle of her mouth, the wideness of her eyes. Fear, his readings returned, but why? He looked down to where she pointed. A black sphere. It seemed weird to be afraid of a sphere but it had been thrown by what was at the very least a Mega and the fight had already been a dance on the edge of defeat. He threw himself backwards. His jets sharply angled to fire toward the front, singeing his arms. His airspeed dropped to nothing. The ball hit. His body broke. Pain filled his mind. He fell.
Hiroyo clenched her fists, a scream tearing itself from her chest as she shoved her way past Mitsuharu, or tried to at the very least. She took an unsteady step forward, eyes locked on Morgan's form: the crumpled armor, the fading lights. His name was on her lips. "MORGAN!" She turned to Tsukiko, shoving the flowers at the other girl. "Here, keep them safe!"
Not-quite to the edge of the clearing Roger hovered, his body stiffening. His core screamed a warning. He heard Hiroyo scream and snapped his attention back to the fight, his claws loosening.
Pain. Internal alarms blaring staccato warnings throughout his very being. It hurt to move, hurt to push himself up with his arms. An pained hiss, who was it from? It came from his area, had he landed on someone? He looked down: nothing. The hiss was his own and Morgan was pain and agony but he could get up. He could move a little, just...in a moment. He would rise up in a moment.
Combat Log Roger sustained heavy damage from Devitamamon earlier and attempted to reach the edge of the clearing with Leo. No attacks made this turn, he just avoided the spheres and got out. Or at least attempted to, probably should've kept going to the forest itself. Morgan sustained heavy damage from Devitamamon this round and is downed between the Most Rotten Egg and the Hut. Used Flash Fusion: High heat and high damage close-range attack on a single enemy. Dizziness inflicted for 2 turns. Three turn cool down. Hiroyo puts Tsukiko in charge of the flowers because at least she's making sense with her priorities, gears.Cooldowns Roger
Bug Buzz: 2/2 Poison Dust: 1/4 Morgan
Turbo Stinger: 2/2 Flash Fusion: 0/3

Post by Tsukiko & The Ashikaga Clan on Feb 21, 2019 23:50:06 GMT
A human and a digimon were not enough to keep track of everything happening in this clear. Tsukiko slowly approached Hiroyo, while her eyes followed Layla, who was now approaching Morgan. She needed to keep track of everything, she needed to know nothing was going to change the route of her plan too much.
Mitsuharu just stood in silence, staring at the gears after taking Lagann’s attack. Even if it wasn’t anything he couldn’t take, it did hurt. Maybe everything he had been through was starting to take a toll on him. Maybe he was reaching exhaustion. His head trailed off to a side, with his eyes watching his back, making sure Hiroyo was okay. Apparently, she was. The girl was addressing Tsukiko.
“Of course not. Don’t worry. I’m on your side.” The pink-haired woman kept walking slowly towards the redhead. She then noticed, Babamon had made her move. Time was of the essence. She took her right hand to her nose, making sure to not breathe anything of that gas coming out of Babamon’s apple. Just in case some got to her, even if it was unlikely. It was hard to keep her focus on everything else while she tried to dodge any of those spheres that had come out of Devitamamon, as best as she could.
Her blue eyes then went to the bed of flowers. They had been protected by the herd of bats, but the gears were throwing two more attacks at them. That should be enough to keep those flying things distracted.
Finally, she had arrived. She was now standing next to Mitsuharu, but facing Hiroyo. “Everything is going to be alright.” She gave a tender smile to the girl. However, what she received from her was a horrified expression. Distinct to what she initially thought, Oda was not actually looking at her, but at her digimon, who had been reached by Devitamamon’s attack. The explosion came right after.
“Y-Yes!” She received the flowers from Hiroyo, who was now rushing towards her partner. Would Morgan be okay? She started getting worried. It was not the time to have doubts, but... the idea of how dangerous these creatures were started to cloud her head. She needed to keep these thoughts away, or she wouldn't be able to pull her next maneuver.
At this exact moment, it felt like if time had frozen for Tsukiko. Layla was fighting Babamon, and she seemed to be fairly busy. The bats were trying to protect the bed of flowers, but they had to be somewhat damaged by the gears’ attack. She had the flowers and Hiroyo had given her back to Mitsuharu. The bats were off her, she was wide open.
This was it.
“Mitsuharu…” Her blue eyes went through the battlefield once again, before giving the final order. “… now!”
The Dinohumon charged towards Hiroyo. Once he was at an optimal distance, he would chop her on the back of her neck, using the frontal side of his palms to keep his blades away from the red-head and using the minimum amount of force he could afford. It should be a very delicate touch. Probably something that wouldn’t even tickle another digimon, but it was enough to make a human fall unconscious. It was what it needed to be done.
If this worked, before Hiroyo could even hit the ground, the dinosaur would grab her and put her unconscious body over his shoulder. He would then reach Morgan with his other arm and raise him up. He was taking these two.
Not even a second before, Mitsuharu would release a mighty roar. A crimson red color would appear over the ground around him, Tsukiko and the gears, only for lava to burst out of the ground right after, as if a barrier was being created around them. What was the limit of this circle of lava? What was the place on the ground where it rose form? What delimitated it?
Of course, the bed of flowers. Tsukiko and Mitsuharu were trying to incinerate them right from below.
Once the circle had formed, Mitsuharu would roar again, making the lava disappear. It was clear the duo’s intention was not to create any type of wall for protecting themselves. They just needed the fire to rise from below to burn exactly what they needed to burn.
Tsukiko turned her head towards the gears. “We need to go, now!” With some luck, they would have realized her plan was to wait for Hiroyo to be open and burn the flowers herself, she wasn't actually willing to work for Lilithmon's interests.
Mitsuharu’s eyes went to his master. He knew what was coming next. He knew this was the hardest part of their plan. Tsukiko’s voice echoed in his head as he remembered what she had said.
“So once I give the order; we need to retreat. No matter what, okay?”
The thing that he hated the most: running away from a fight.
“Ashikagas… Retreat!”
Tsukiko and Mitsuharu (with Hiroyo and Morgan on each shoulder), would start making their way towards the fogless section of the forest. With any luck, Layla would be too busy getting her flowers. Devitamamon? Yes, that might be a problem. For the time being, Tsukiko was holding the flowers with both arms, pressed against her chest. She had promised to keep these two safe, so... while she was able to, she would abide by her promise.
Combat log:
Mitsuharu tries to chop Hiroyo on the back of her neck, attempting to leave her unconscious but not causing any further damage on her. He then roars, using One on One.
One on one: Mitsuharu roars, raising lava from the ground around where he stands, to make a combat ring between him and his opponent. If the opponent hits the borders of the ring he will take a medium amount of damage. Mitsuharu will also take damage upon touching these borders, but only 30% of the damage the enemy takes. Any other enemy or ally who tries to enter the ring will also receive damage. The lava ring lasts for 5 turns. 5 posts cooldown.
The lava that forms the borders of One on one raises from below the flowers. attempting to burn them. Good luck trying to stop the fire when it comes from the ground itself, bats! Mitsuharu immediately deactivates One on one.
Tsukiko and Mitsuharu (carrying Hiroyo and Morgan) make a run for it.
Itto-ryu: Steel Twister's cooldown: 2/5 One on one's duration: Deactivated On on one's cooldown: 0/5

The poison's effect on Devitamamon's legs had lightened up. Slowly she started to ease back to her feet, bending back into a normal stance. Then as soon as she had flipped she was immediately sent back off balance. The flames and exhaust from Morgan's engines left her coughing and sputtering. "But I thought we were friends," she protested between hacking coughs. There was pain in her distorted voice. "Friends are supposed to play together, right? Come on, you guys aren't even talking to me . . ." She looked down, growing silent. Was she trying to shake the dizziness out of her head? Or was she just plain dejected?
Not that Lilithmon was paying much attention to her charge. In fact, she wasn't paying attention to much of anything right now. The only thing on her mind right now was the sad shell of her past life. The crumpled Babamon waited until Lilithmon approached and then sprang back to life, hooking both parts of her broom around Lilithmon's ankle to try and throw her off balance. Unfortunately she picked far too graceful of a Demon Lord to try this on. Lilithmon agilely landed on one foot, then pushed off of it to rocket towards Babamon. From this spring she planted her heel square into Babamon's chest, sending her sprawling to the ground and causing the earth beneath the two to crack.
As she stood atop Babamon she pointed a long, perfectly-groomed finger at her, a thin purple light starting to emanate from it. "Any last words?" she asked. Babamon grinned from ea-to ear as she gave her answer.
"Fire!"
Lilithmon rolled her eyes. "Oh, come on, that won't work on m-" she started, only for eyes to widen as a FWOOSH sound echoed from behind her. Her nose twitched, the telltale odor of smoke pouring into it. Immediately she turned around, just in time to see Mitsuharu's flaming field rise from beneath the flowers.
Bats flung themselves into the pyre like an army of sacrificial lambs, clawing at the ground beneath the flowers to try and dislodge them. However, while very prepared to fend off assaults from above and the front, they simply had no means of digging underneath the dirt. While they could parry away the gears' second sets of attacks with ease, no amount of durability let them intercept Mitsuharu's flames. Congealed masses of bats clustered onto the flowers, but with a resigned squeal they were forced to part from the fire. Only ashes had remained.
Before Lilithmon could react Babamon had bashed her hard in the ankle. Now it was the witch's turn to take the initiative, crossing the two halves of her broom against Lilithmon's neck like the blades of an executioner. "See? Now none of us get what we want," she chided. Light started to build around the ends of her broom, smoke rising from Lilithmon as it seared her flesh. "How's it feel? Being the Lust that goes down to a handful of hatchlings and an old hag?"
Babamon's taunt was answered with a crushing grip around the throat. Lilithmon had powered through her attack, murder blazing in her eyes. Her teeth were grit into a hideous scowl. Slowly, surely, she started to lift Babamon high into the air. "This changes nothing," she hissed. Her voice was the same frigid tone as it was when she was playing with Leo's mind. "Your power, your domain . . . these are more than enough. And when I am done bending this forest to my will, these ingrates will wish they could starve as their hunt for an exit drives them to madness. So why don't you tell me how it feels? Knowing the last of your breaths was wasted on giving these bright, young heroes false hope?"
Babamon simply spat on Lilithmon.
Lilithmon didn't even turn to look back at the party, even as Tsukiko sounded the call for retreat. "Tsukaimon, be a dear and follow them," she said, voice slipping back into its usual dry calm. "I've got a bit more business to attend to here."
Devitamamon nodded shakily. She stretched up to her full height, then slammed her forearms into the ground like a bull preparing to charge. "Maybe you guys never liked me," she mumbled, the distortion in her voice wobbling more strongly than it had before. "You all lied. You all lied!" The final word gave way to an inhuman shriek. It faded into the wind as Devitamamon ran after Tsukiko and the bugs. Her massive, flash-coated claws tore trails in the ground with each charge.
If anyone looked back to the hut, they would see Lilithmon impale straight through Babamon's chest with her uncovered hand. The witch's steadily-pulsing data core nestled in her palm, like an apple in a goddess' hand. Babamon's body, and with it her hut, broke into strands of data that began regressing into this core.
The road ahead of Tsukiko, Mitsuharu, the bugs, and the gears would look quite treacherous. Figures moved in the fog, some running parallel to the group and some criss-crossing around them. Occasionally shadows, resembling Digimon such as Kuwagamon, Fangmon, and Ogremon, seemed to pass through the road ahead of Tsukiko. Sometimes they turned to look at her for uncomfortable lengths of time, hackles raised in a threat display. Every time she approached closely enough they faded from few. Whispers, sobs, and chants harried the party from behind the safety of the fog, and occasionally tree branches stretched into the path like lurking claws. While the cleared path made more obvious chicanery difficult, the forest was doing everything in its power to hamper the party's progress. Nevertheless, all of these were just that: shadows. If everyone kept a clear mind and strong stomach, they would be safe.
Only one figure did not seem to fade away with the others: the silhouette of a haggard knight, looking all too familiar to Morgan, Gurren, and Lagaan.
Combat Log: Noncombat Passive - Mind of a ChildThird time's the charm! Devitamamon has gone from a stun to a dizzy, no issue. Devitamamon is running really, really fast! It isn't clear if she's using any moves, but you probably don't want to touch her!
