A Walk in the Woods (Hiroyo, Tsukiko, Eleonora)

Post by Eleonora on Feb 25, 2019 2:30:00 GMT
No matter how hard they try all the attacks the gears made where blocked by those bats, time was running short and so were their options, at this point if a miracle doesn't happen they'll have to disobey the order and let Lilithmon get the flowers, in the end if it meant saving their general's life letting the Demon lord get what she wants as Tsukiko suggested didn't sounded like a bad idea anymore.
And then when things seemed doom as Morgan was shot down by the attack of Devitamamon and was unconscious, Tsukiko made her move and order Mitsuharu to knock Hiroyo out and then with one ability burn the flower bed from beneath and the bats couldn't do anything to stop it, from that moment the only available option was to make the escape seeing that the main objective (aside from the two Tsukiko was holding) was down and they were severely outnumber fighting was even less than an option.
The group went through the pathway that the gears and Morgan came from, somehow whatever Bagramon did was still functioning and the fog was split leaving a path for the group to run, both digimon knew how the forest work putting your fears against you and making it so that's what you see, the twins were able to remain calm even when the cross path with Roger who was carrying the motionless body of their general, but a quick scan reveal that she was "fine"
The gears turn back for a second to see if their escape was going to succeed or not, having to be worried of Lilithmon pursuing them but fortunately (or unfortunately) they saw the Demon Lord busy with Babamon while the Devitamamon was back on track and moving faster towards them, remaining calm on this situation wasn't easy but they manage to make a quick plan that hopefully will slow down the running egg.
"Deploying KoGears"
With that familiar "CLINK CLANK" sound the small gears on their heads pop up and charge against Devitamamon, sure they aren't strong and can be taken by one single hit but any kind of contact will detonate the KoSolar and release the poison of the KoHaguru, the mini gears will go and try to attach themselves to Devitamamon so it takes the effects at point blank.
"Listen! We know things seems dark and this forest is playing with our minds" "But is just that, if you see digimon around or the trees moving but there are no digimons nor nothing is happening around us" "This forest uses our fears to trick us and make us fall into despair and be trap forever, do not let your senses betray you" "It might be hard but remain calm and clear your mind of any thought, we will be able to escape"
Hopefully Tsukiko and Mitsuharu will be able to do it just fine, but Roger was a worrying case seeing the expression on his face, he sure saw something more than what the gears when they turn, surely his mind will be anything but clear.
As the escape continue one figure between the shadows of the forest was spotted and it was imposible for the gears to mistake it, it was Bagramon who help them back and hopefully he'll do it again, moving towards the figure
"Bagramon! We are on a huge trouble and need to get out of the forest as soon as possible!" "We know you can't leave but surely you know one exit, we have no time to lose please help us!" "Our friends need to get to a safe place and you are our only hope"
Battle Log The gears release their KoGear to slow down Devitamamon Leo is still K.O but will wake up next post
KoHaguru: The little gears on the side of Hagurumon X head are little sentient gears that can be detach from it and wander around at least up to 6 meters from Hagurumon X, they can attach themselves to any surface (even other digimon) and release a powerful virus (Poison) that slowly drains power from the victim, the KoHagurus can be attack and if they took enough damage will go back to Hagurumon X, likewise if they go far from 6 meters they’ll drop inactive until Hagurumon X get’s near them (Duration of the poison 3 post, 5 post cooldown)
KoSolar: The little gears on the side of Solarmon X head are little sentient gears that can be detach from it and wander around at least up to 6 meters from Solarmon X, they can attach themselves to any surface (even other digimon) and self destruct generating a small explosion that get stronger if both KoSolar are attach to the same place/victim, the KoSolar can be attack and if they took enough damage will go back to Solarmon X, likewise if they go far from 6 meters they’ll drop inactive until Solarmon X get’s near them (5 post cooldown)

Even as focused as she was on Morgan Hiroyo couldn't miss the rush of movement, the green of blur in her peripheral. But just because she saw it didn't mean she could do anything about it.
She fell senseless, her head turned from Morgan and the fight beyond him.
"MORGAN!"
Morgan lifted his head from the ground. Pain wracked him, internal sensors screaming warnings and alarm. There were cracks, were dents, were the round edge of his abdomen going in the wrong direction. He twisted, the movement bring more pain that intensified as he put his arms out and tried to push himself up. They were too short, too weak to lift the bulk of his body and it was a risk to down shift but he wasn't making progress this way.
His Champion form flaked away from him, dissolved in a subdued dissolve of yellow light. Waspmon faded, gave way to Fanbeemon. Vision obscured by light gave way to the sight of what he assumed to be Mitsuharu scooping Hiroyo onto his shoulder.
The pain persisted.
"Appreciate the assistance." Morgan grunted as Mitsuharu picked him up. He fluttered his wings, a single testing beat. Pain reared to smack his awareness.
He subsided, slumped over Mitsuharu's shoulder while his legs sought purchase on the Dinohumon's skin. It wouldn't be more than a prickle to Mitsuharu, no damage at all.
At least he hadn't thought it would cause pain.
Mitsuharu's roar brought Morgan's head up sharply. He checked his footing. He checked that Lillithmon was still entangled with Babamon. Then he checked the flowers. Mitsuharu roared again. Morgan's eyes narrowed in grim satisfaction. "Well done!"
The egg was yelling again. Noisily screaming something unpleasant in the background and Morgan didn't want to be the one to deal with it.
"Babamon!"
Roger screeched - in pain in fury in rage - and Morgan snapped his head up. He focused on his sibling, the Flymon was still near the edge of the clearing, looking back. He bellowed, his words carrying an echo of the power and force they had had as champion. "Roger! We need you here!"
Roger snarled and cursed and it was as nasty of a tone as any Morgan had heard him use but he turned away. The stripes on his face were little more than slits and his body vibrated with a barely concealed need to fling himself against his foes but he turned away.
Morgan allowed himself a mental sigh of relief and anod to his brother. He took stock.
Roger carried a girl, the General of the Gears he owed much to. He himself was a wreck. Mitsuharu carried himself and Hiroyo and his human carried the flowers - those blasted, twice-damed flowers.
He almost wanted to yell at her to drop them, to tell her to rip them to shreds but they were a piece, a chip, a resource.
He would keep all the resources they could get, would then spend them recklessly to keep the lives of this team alive.
It wasn't his decision anyways.
Another life, one that Morgan wasn't too sure if he would attempt to preserve our not reared up in front of them and Morgan narrowed his eyes, his antenna going rigid as his voice went flat at Bagramon's appearance. "You."
He let the Gears talk, let them plead their case. There was an egg behind them and Morgan and the rest of the group and the rotten wailing egg was wailing about friendship and betrayal and Morgan snorted.
"Put us down." He said to Mitsuharu, flexing his wings experimentally. It still hurt, would continue to hurt but he could fly. For a moment Morgan considered attempting to reclaim his higher stage but he shied away. "Or rather, give Hiroyo to Roger and let me climbe on his back. You'll need your hands free very shortly."
"Hah! Like that's going to help." Roger snarled, sparks beginning to travel over his body. He was bitter and angry and over the steady droning of his wings Morgan could hear the sparks cracking and popping, could feel the power. He pulled his free claw back and the electricity condensed around it.
"Cleaving Spark!" He struck.
Morgan could hear the popping noises as the heat from the electricity boiled off the sap in the tree that Roger struck at with a fierce horizontal blow. Morgan understood as the tree cracked and the electricity died and Roger made his way closer. "You mean to block the path."
Roger huffed. "Obviously."
"It won't be enough."
"No shit. You gonna help us or do I get to rip your head off your shoulders?" Roger snarled at Bagramon, currently free claw opening and closing.

Post by Tsukiko & The Ashikaga Clan on Mar 5, 2019 2:22:16 GMT
As the group ran through the small pathway that was still free of fog, the one Babamon had mentioned, Tsukiko knew what was happening behind them. It was a lot more than a chasing Devitamamon. For the first time today, the pink haired human began to feel she was going to lose her mind. The digimon who she had asked for help minutes ago was dying right now and the only thing she could do was turn her back at her? It was both ironic and sadistic in equal measures. Even if the gears had explained what this was all about, those silhouettes constantly appearing around them wasn’t helping her keep her sanity afloat.
Her blue eyes went to Mitsuharu, who was perfectly aware of what was happening too. If she knew him at all, which she did, she knew he was about to turn back.
“Mitsuharu!” Tsukiko shouted as they kept running. The dinosaur’s eyes opened up widely and went to his master. “Listen to me. I know what you want to do. Going back there is only going to get us killed. And then it’s going to get everyone else killed.” Just a little more. “I can’t just turn my back at someone dying either, especially after she helped us.” Just a little more. “But going back there is not going to solve anything. We’re going to die. And if we do, we won’t be able to ever make that demon pay.” She just had to keep herself together a little more. Her blue eyes affixed on Mitsuharu’s, almost burning into them.
“You know me. You know an Ashikaga never breaks a promise. I promise you, Mitsuharu Ashikaga, in the name of our last name: we’re going to find that Demon and make her pay for all of this. But not today. Today we run so we and those we love, live another day, understood?”
Mitsuharu closed his eyes for some seconds. Saying that Tsukiko wasn’t afraid her words had not been enough would be lying. She was doubting. She didn’t know if he was going to go back. And, if he was, she was ready to follow him and die at his side.
The Dinohumon opened his eyes when he heard the gears imploding against Devitamamon. He turned at Morgan and nodded, putting him down, handing Hiroyo to Roger and freeing both of his arms. He wouldn’t perform any technique right now, but in case Devitamamon got too close, he was ready to grab Tsukiko and get out of the way.
Tsukiko showed a smirk, which was only a sign of relief. Now, she just needed to keep herself together for what remained of this. Maybe Roger's strategy was good enough to keep that very disturbing egg away for a while.
Apparently, a known figure to the rest of the group had appeared between the fog. The gears had already said everything that needed to be said. The question remained… would he help them getting a way out of here?
Battle Log:
Mitsuharu does not use a technique this turn. Instead, he uses that time to get ready to take Tsukiko and jump out of the way in case Devitamamon gets too close and tries to lunge them.

The KoGears detonated against Devitamamon, sending her skidding back through the grass. However, they had failed to break her stride. Whereas dizziness, numbed limbs, and bright lights had previously hampered her in the past, poison didn't seem to be doing the trick. However, even the moments pause from the KoGears' explosion gave the assembled group a few precious seconds of head start. It may have been all they needed. Every reckless charge Devitamamon made brought her closer to the group, and without the KoGears' distraction she may have already been upon them.
Bagramon simply stepped aside as he was approached. No longer blocking the road, he at least wouldn't impede anyone's way. However, he didn't even seem to pay the requests for help any mind, either. He simply stood there, head bowed low. With how his shoulders heaved, he almost seemed to be breathing heavily. Occasionally the fingers on his ashen hand tensed, but beyond that he didn't move a muscle. Roger and the KoGears' interjections were interrupted by a mere whisper. "Ssssh."
His entire body froze as he heard Devitamamon's claws slicing into the earth. With the egg's eyes so laser-focused on her targets, she didn't even notice the tensed-up knight standing to her side. It was only when she passed him that he sprang back into action. His ashen hand slammed into Devitamamon in an open palm strike, the force sending her launching right into the treeline. "You should have turned back long ago," he hissed, drawing his hand back. "Even now, she has her eyes on you. And if you wait any longer, I fear you'll never have them off of you." He didn't even face the group as he talked to them. Instead he strode over to the treeline, hitting Devitamamon with another brutal palm strike. This time his hand spread out like roots, forming a barbed cage around his adversary.
Devitamamon thrashed in response, sending bark and thorns splintering in every direction. She spewed a sickly-looking brown acid on Bagramon, causing him to flinch but not falter. Smoke lined with data rose from his wounds. "These are my friends!" she shrieked, desperation filling his voice. "You aren't even supposed to be here! Why are you taking them away from me? When Lay finds ou-"
Bagramon's hand tightened, cutting off Devitamamon's words. It was as if his branches had clamped around her throat. "If it's happened in these woods, then she already has," he hissed. "But if you'd like to crawl back and tell her yourself, I'll allow you the chance."
With Bagramon holding Devitamamon back, it seemed that the party was in the clear. However, once anyone passed Bagramon, they would feel a sudden chill down their spine. A voice called back to them from the woods, but what voice they heard seemed to differ from person to person.
The Last Temptation of Leo
"So that's it, huh? You're just gonna leave me here?"
Leo wouldn't see anything, but in this case hearing was far worse than seeing. Leo's own voice was playing back at her, except there was something startlingly different about it. It was filled with warmth, energy, and spunk, occupying a solid presence right in Leo's head.
Right now, it sounded more alive than she ever could.
"There was so much we were still looking forward to, you know? All those partners we were going to find. All those parts of the Digital World we were going to explore. All those new adventures. And now look at us! We're not even Eleonora anymore. There's no spark to us. We're just some . . . some nothing!
I don't know what's gonna happen to me if we walk away. She's got me, and I don't think she's gonna let go easy. Heck, she might never let go, and then we're never gonna be the same again.
I'm really scared. I know you are, too, even if you can't feel it right now. You're gonna come back for me so we can be whole again, right?"
The Last Temptation of Tsukiko and Mitsuharu
"Huh. Never took you for the running away type."
Lilithmon sauntered out of the treeline, unarmed, unharmed, and without a shred of concern on her features. In fact, she was currently shooting the world's smuggest grin in Tsukiko and Mitsuharu's direction. "I guess everyone's gotta have their one-that-got-away story. But still, you? Come on, you're better than this," she said, casually leaning against a tree. "Leaving the bad guy alive? Letting her plan and plot in peace, anyone who could stop her dead or gone? Even bringing her to a past life's residence to play a little game of finders, keepers. Thanks for that one, by the way. I owe you big time.
And what'd you get out of all of it? Your lives?" Suddenly she perked up, pointed ears twitching a bit. "Oh! That's right! You took those flowers away from me, too. You know, the ones I paid you to help me find? Oooh, that's gonna sting. If paying a bunch of mortals to do the dirty work for me didn't already give you a hint, I kinda needed those.
Oh well. I guess I'll just have to grow more. I'm sure Babamon's remains will make a great bit of fertilizer. What do you think?" By now the grin on Lilithmon's face was downright predatory.
"A pity. And to think, this could all be avoided if there was a brave hero here to stop me," she mused. Slowly her Lilithmon form ebbed away, revealing Layla standing in her place. She adjusted her neck, pulling down her jacket to flash her jugular. "I could even stay in my human form, just to make it a fair fight. All you'd have to do is turn back and make it worth my while. Or you could just leave, and let the weight of today hang on your shoulders. But you could avoid all of that pain with one little strike to just the right place.
So, what are you waiting for? Ashikagas, stand up!"
The Last Temptation of Hiroyo
"Yoyo? Are you okay?"
Layla's voice was as clear as a bell in Hiroyo's ears, slicing through even the depths of unconsciousness. Or perhaps it was Lilithmon's. It was certainly the Demon Lord's mature, rich voice, but it kept the more approachable and casual tone of her human guise. "I've been worried sick about you! Oh, I should have never left your side to check on that pesky Babamon . . .
It's horrible, isn't it? They take those flowers you so thoughtfully scooped up, and burn them like mere kindling. And my dear little Tsukaimon getting carried away and chasing you. I really should've kept a better eye on her. I know she means well, but goodness, she can be a handful! And then how that brute of a dinosaur just knocked you out. For him to even touch a hair on your head . . . who does he think he is, anyway?
I know we didn't really have a lot of time together, but the time we did have was really nice, you know? Sure, we spent a lot of it getting lost. Or getting muddy. Or running from these big, terrifying bugs. And then this whole mess happened and kinda killed the vibe. But despite all of that, didn't we still have fun? And, I mean, if we could have that much fun in such bad circumstances . . .
You know, why don't you come back over here? If I'm going to ask you out, I'd at least like to do it to your face."
The Last Temptation of Morgan and the Gears
"Such a shame. To think that the outside world will give the you the shelter that you seek."
A pillar of black flame erupted in front of Morgan, Gurren, and Lagaan. When it faded, Mephistomon sat before them. He was in the same cross-legged stance that he held when the Digimon had first seen him, and there was no expression in his unblinking red eyes. "The moment you leave these woods, your chance at a life to call your own is forfeit," he explained. As he spoke, his words were seemingly repeated, a hushed whisper caressing the trio's ears. "You shall be the latest conscripts in a war that has spanned the Digital World's lifetime. You will fight, and you will die, and you will be born anew. Your opponents will triumph, and they will fall, and then they too are born anew.
There are wheels, within wheels, within wheels. And you and your humans sit nestled within the center. You may shirk your duty and go home, but you will never forget the sights you've seen here today." Mephistomon outstretched his hand, revealing Hiroyo, Eleonora, and Tsukiko's Digivices. Their buttons were caked with dirt, their screens were cracked messes, and rust bled out through cracks in their plastic surface. Then the Digivices changed, taking on the appearances of primitive models. They then changed again, now taking on a modern, almost smartphone-like look.
"Leave these woods, and condemn yourselves to a cycle that has outlived you before and shall outlive you again. Stay, and perhaps your ignorance shall remain bliss."
The Last Temptation of Roger
"Don't think you're counting me out yet!"
Babamon limped out from the woods. She clutched her hand over her chest, data seeping out of the wound through the gaps in her fingers. Despite this, the grin on her face was ear to ear. "That little upstart thinks she can take me out that easy? So self-assured, she didn't even think to finish loading me. Well, joke's on her! I'm still alive and kicking, and it's gonna take more than a bit of impalement to change that.
Once you and your friends get out of here, I'm gonna start raising hell. You know how those flowers burned up right under her nose? Well, I'm gonna take away everything else she's got, one step at a time. After she took my power and my hut, she'd better be ready to learn what a bitch payback can be!
But a one-witch war just ain't easy to raise. I hate to ask, but do you think I can count on you to stick around and be my helper? Just for a few more days? I know your brother will make sure the girl's in good hands, and once you've given me some help I'll send you right back home. We're just gonna bloody this demon's nose, first.
What do you say? Do we got a deal?"
Before the group, the treeline was started to spread out and thin. The air was starting to cool, and any mist that still danced around the trees was fragile and low to the ground. The exit was, if not past these trees, at the very least nearby. Behind the group, mist was starting to settle back around behind them. The air was hot and heavy, and the treeline loomed like grasping claws. It was a path full of uncertainty and danger, and it couldn't stretch further from the group's goal. At this point, the way forward was all too clear, and there was nothing stopping the group from taking it and ending this game.
Nothing, that is, except for the uncertainty in their own hearts.

The voice of Bagramon echoed through the gears head, while he didn't turn to talk to them they knew the hissed and anger where directed to them, true they should've run and leave the forest but so many things had happen on the last couple of minutes that it was imposible until now, it took some second to understand that by "she having her eyes on them" he meant Lilithmon, they understood that even if he was mad Bagramon was buying time for them to escape before it's too late. "We have to keep moving, for what his words seem to imply we have not much time before the forest bends to Lilithmon's will" "We thank you from the bottom of our cores, Hopefully we will meet again on better conditions and truly pay respects to our savior"
That said the Gears lead the group through the woods, once they past Bagramon the only path for the group was forward, the tree started to spread and the mist dying out, the exit of this crazy place should be near and yet the forest doesn't try to let them go away that easy and pulls one last trick...
Last Temptation Gurren, Lagann and Morgan Suddenly the two gears lost track of the group and a pilar of black flame appear in front of them, Mephistomon came back and start his usual speech, making everything sound worthless, speaking of the cycle of life, death and reborn that the digimon have, leave the forest and live through that cycle in a world they don't understand and be forgotten as the time passes or stay in the forest living in a blissful ignorance, the gears had only one answer for all this
"With all due respect toa digimon of your power, we can not accept your words "Living in ignorance and shelter from reality is no way of living! You make it sound that the cycle of life and death we digimon have make every single one of our actions worthless as we simply die anyways and be forgotten until the next cycle "Well that is where you are wrong, because with each cycle we carry the dreams of those who have fallen and the dreams of those who will come "Those two set of dreams wave together in a double helix forming a drill which we will use to crave our own path "We might be machines that do not understand of free will now, but that does not mean that we are just going to sit here and accept the will you try to impose us "So move out of the way or we are going to force our way through you!"
With that said the gears move towards the injure Morgan that seemed to be with them and place themselves to each side of the bee acting as a support, and then they just float past the goat hoping to reach the end of this forest and their freedom Last Temptation Eleonora Floating on a complete black void the person once known as Eleonora was found, she was barely awake trying to understand her surroundings but she couldn't make anything clear, until the voice appear, the voice of her former self saying that seems to be the end and the moment she leaves this forest who knows what might happen to her, who knows if they even will be together again, all the things they left unfinished and the adventures to come... It was sad and painful in a way yet a the same time a feeling of void took most presence.
"I'm sorry... I wish there was a way for me to stop her and rescue you... But we both know that it's imposible now... But don't be scare, I promise I'll take up your name and your fight, I'll get stronger and I'll be back for you, so you can reunite with your father in the future, I promise you that this is not the end and we are going to have our revenge"
Soon everything around the German started to clear up and she notice that she was been carried by something
Eleonora finally wake up a little confuse and feeling weak, but strong enough to see what was happening the group had started the final run towards the exit and the light of freedom was just a couple of meters away. Once they made it out of the forest and had a time to take a break the girl would ask Roger to free her, the blonde would walk towards the gears and give them a hug thanking both digimons for their bravery, she would take a couple of more steps away from the group this time and rise one hand to her chest, holding her breath and trying to keep as much silence as she could to try and hear her heart beat... But nothing... Her memory about everything that happen there was fuzzy at best and nonexistent at worst, if it wasn't for that voice she wouldn't even remember what happen. "Is everyone OK?" Leo ask as she took sit on the floor, a bit of sadness on her voice "Sorry for making everything worst for us..."

Post by Hiroyo Oda on Mar 12, 2019 22:39:51 GMT
"Friends usually don't almost murder each other!" Roger hollered in rebuttal after Bagramon had stopped talking. He dropped in altitude to scoop Hiroyo up with his claw, tearing up the ground and raining dirt and leaf litter in the attempt. He readjusted himself higher in the air as they passed Bagramon as if to fly out of his reach. As if he didn't trust the blighted looking knight. An understandable reaction considering everything this fog-blighted forest had put them through. It was also understandable why the return of Babamon made him hesitate, made his antenna perk up along with his head in interest.
He was tempted to go, to return. To conduct lightning strikes again Lilithmon, to be a tempest of interference she couldn't quite catch. To strike a blow again her plans and designs for every blow she had struck across them.
He could picture it in his mind's eye. The two of them together, striking against perhaps not the Demon Lord directly but against all that she planned and arranged. His beak split open, his antenna twitched.
The weight of the humans in his claws weighed heavily. Reality occurred to him with the dreams.
He was a twin partnered to a human. Without Morgan, without the digivice he would be much less.
Even now he knew why Morgan had downshifted. Hiroyo was out cold and without her consciousness the connection between the three was narrow, condensed. He was taking up all available bandwidth on an already limited supply. His wing beats faltered, his hover dropped lower in altitude.
"I can't," His voice cracked on the second word. He wanted to, he desperately wanted to fight by her side, to learn something from the experience of dozens of life-times but even if it was her, even if she was real he still had a duty, a curse, a handicap in the shape of an innocuous device and a young woman with air in her head instead of sense.
"I would only slow you down."
He turned away as he must, as he would.
As he needed to. Roger flew just below the level of the lowest tree branches as they left the forest. It was "Hrmph, try not to throw rocks at Demon Lords this time." Roger grumbled at Leo's request. He carefully lowered his claw, sinking through the air slowly until her feet were only a couple feet above the ground before releasing her. It would be an easy drop for her. He would actually land shortly after, the act easier when he only had to lift one claw with limp-body dangling from it higher in the air so he didn't accidentally slap said body against anything. Hiroyo's head lolled about on her shoulders as he landed but there was no snaps or cracks to make him worry. He could feel himself fading though, could feel the available power flowing from the digivice to him stuttering, fading. He hissed aloud in annoyance and opened his claw, letting Hiroyo drop to the ground with a quiet 'thud'. It wasn't too far of a drop, enough to make her groan and sit up, the heel of one hand pressed to her forehead as she looked around. For a moment her expression was openly hostile when she looked at him, eyes narrowed and partially obscured by the mess of her hair. "Did you just drop me?"
He could feel the flow of power steadying into something sustainable. The stripes on his face narrowed. His voice was tight. Babamon was dead and he was still here instead of fighting. If it had been Isao he could have reached higher. "You deserved it."
The pain was fading. Not because Morgan was healing or repairing or anything so kind, no. He was just getting use to it. Bagramon's interruption was dramatic and welcome. Morgan looked at him sideways as he passed him then paused for a moment, even with the knight's shoulder. "You know this will mean your deletion if you don't leave." It was almost a question. Morgan didn't sound sad as he said it, his voice hardened with the surety that disaster was coming swiftly. He nodded once at Bagramon's response, or lack there of, then moved on. Mephistomon again. Morgan stopped in his tracks, his antenna flicking in annoyance.
Morgan ground his beak as he stared at the sight of the digivices, his eyes narrowed. Mephistomon's words reached him but were given no room to roost although they were acknowledged.
The gears spoke sufficiently and again he was glad of their steadfast nature and how quickly they had come to his side. Their words were uplifting and struck a cord of truth, he found himself straightening up and moving more surely, more confidently.
'They are truly wonderful to have in a situation like this,' he thought 'such a shame about their general. Perhaps they'll rub off on her.'
He turned his eyes from them to Mephistomon, his voice steady and calmer than it had been when he had faced the goat before.
"I would prefer to know why I am suffering than to live a life of unknowing pleasure. I have already suffered more than you could guess." His voice was ice frozen solid and unmoving. He had made up his mind while the gears were talking and he moved with them past Mephistomon with his head high.
He was sure of his path, of what he had decided.
Morgan kept pace with the gear-twins. He shot a hard look at Roger but if something similar had affected his brother he didn't mention it. Morgan could tell something was different, though. The Flymon's beak was pressed more tightly closed than he had expected.Roger was basically quiet until he landed and let Leo go. Things went downhill the moment he dropped Hiroyo. "Be careful." Morgan hissed in annoyance. He knew why it had been done. Even degenerated he had felt the power wane with Hiroyo's unconsciousness. At the moment, as much as he hated it, Roger was their best ride further afield from the forest. Waking Hiroyo had been necessary, doing so roughly had not. "We need to leave." He said, landing near the two and looking between them and then at the other groups. His eyes were grim, his movements stiff. "Once Bagramon falls they'll be after us again."
He turned his attention to Tsukiko almost expectantly. She was the most reasonable of the three humans, surely she'd see the reason behind his remark.
Hiroyo She was floating, wrapped in a bar of iron and thorns that pressed against her skin but didn't puncture.
Not yet, not yet.
The voice reached her and she blinked as Layla asked after her. Was she okay? Was she fine?
She tried to move but found no answer, her body seemingly disappeared despite the iron thorns she could feel touching it. It was distant, seperated, like someone had picked up her head and carried it away from the rest of her with no ill effect.
She didn't yet worry, at least not for herself.
Layla sound sad, so sad and lost and lonely and Hiroyo wanted to fix that.
No one should sound like that.
"I'm okay, don't worry about me!" Hiroyo would always be okay, eventually. Despite car crashes and death or getting thrown through a window or breaking an arm, she would always, always be okay if Layla asked.
She'd always get up again, if Isao Layla asked.
Tears began to bead in her eyes as Layla spoke of Babamon and Devitamamon, of the mess things had been made. Of the mistakes, in a round about way, that Hiroyo had made.
"I tried," She whispered, remembering how she'd dug in the dirt and the plants, remembered the feeling of soil under her fingernails and she hated it but it'd been worth it. "I tried but I didn't, I couldn't. I thought..."
She trailed off at the mention of the dinosaur, her eyes slowly widening in realization.
She had seen Morgan's yell. She had seen Tsukiko and the gears and the big green lizardy-man with the giant sword. She had given the flowers to Tsukiko and then been hit from behind.
The dinosaur, the flirty orange-one, was that him? It made the most sense even with the color change.
"She, she said she was going to finish the job." Hiroyo protested weakly, an attempt at pushing the blame for her failure off.
She should have realized, with how the gears had acted. Should have realized, with how the dinosaur and Tsukiko had stood off with that wretched old woman. The facts felt like mist on the surface of a lake -if she grabbed too tightly she'd end up with nothing but drowning. Would she remember this, later?
She promised herself she would.
She was pulled gently, sweetly, from her self-imposed musings by the reminders of the good she and Layla had shared. She hung in the band of thorns and smiled at the memory. It had been pretty irresponsible of them at the time but it had been fun, hadn't it? To forget, for a moment, what horrible dangerous world they were in.
And then Layla made clear her intentions and Hiroyo blinked her eyes open, her head picking up as she stared in the direction she had been carried through the foggy forest.
Had she heard correctly?
She thought, for a moment, of how soon it was, of how others would say it was too-quick, too-fast, you-don't-even-know-them but that was silly wasn't it?
She had seen both faces of Layla, from the woman to the other, giant, sterner woman who liked flowers and got mad at stupid comments and when things got thrown at her. They were still the same Layla, right? The one who had laughed at her in the mud and teased her and kissed her.
Hiroyo knew it was soon, but there was a time when she had known someone for ages and hadn't said anything. A time when she had slowly fallen for a friend.
She carried his digivice now, a silent lead weight in her pocket, a reminder that sometimes not-knowing everything about a person was impossible.
Sometimes, if you didn't take the risk, you didn't find everything out until they were gone.
They could always work out the problems after the fact. Wasn't it natural to listen to your partner more? Maybe things could still be salvaged.
"I will!" She called. She struggled against the thorns, hissing as they broke skin but there was no pain. She recognized the thorns though, the pattern in which they pressed.
Roger.
She hung still, thinking.
Roger wouldn't let her go back, neither would Morgan. The twins had almost been as blatantly, as as far as she was concerned unnecessarily, hostile as Leo.
The fact that they hadn't outright attacked was probably down to nothing more than Leo being quicker on the draw.
They were an obstacle, she'd have to bring them around to her side or-
She frowned.
"I, I can't. Not right now. I have to take care of things." She reached out, ignoring the thorns that tore her arm to ribbons as she reached back along the pathway they had come, her fingers outstretched. "I promise I-"
She fell.
With a thump and gasp she sat up, hands feeling at the ground beneath her as she blinked. Her head ached both in the front and in the back where she had hit it on the ground. She pressed the heel of one hand to her head and looked at Roger standing over her.
Roger. Her eyes narrowed. There was something about him that- "Did you just drop me?" She demanded, her voice raising in pitch because seriously? That wasn't how you were suppose to take care of unconscious people you idiot! "You deserved it."
The answer didn't surprise her. Nor did the venom. The quiet, vehement way he said it did. "We need to leave. Once Bagramon falls they'll be after us again."
She looked over at Morgan as he spoke, her face still drawn into a scowl. Jerks, both of them. This would have been such an easy run if they had just listened. She stomped down the feeling as she stood up, dusting herself off to take measure of all her hurts. She would be sporting bruises tomorrow. "Who's Bagramon?"

Post by Tsukiko & The Ashikaga Clan on Mar 14, 2019 1:32:59 GMT
Seeing Bagramon deal with Devitamamon with such ease only helped cement the theory that, in this occasion, the Ashikagas, and probably everyone in there, was dealing with forces way beyond their power lever. Along with the rest of the group, Tsukiko and Mitsuharu just ran past the demon, making their way further inside the forest, until… Their last temptation arrived The Ashikagas froze upon the sight of Lilithmon. Mitsuharu unsheathed Akinakes, the giant blade previously resting at his back, while Tsukiko just stared at the monster. The demon being able to materialize anywhere around the fog didn’t seem implausible at all for them, so it wasn’t much of a surprise to see her right there. However, this didn’t make it any less worrying.
As she proceeded with her speech, Tsukiko’s previously terrified countenance slowly turned into one of contempt. She was mocking them, mocking Babamon’s sacrifice and her bravery. The human clenched her teeth and her fists, her blue eyes affixed onto the monster. Her grin was nothing but mischievous, but Tsukiko’s fear was slowly starting to vanish, it was turning into anger.
“Shut up!” Tsukiko shouted, closing her eyes. “Shut up, shut up, shut up!” She repeated, taking both hands to her head and shaking it aggressively. She knew very well what Lilithmon was trying to do. But it wasn’t that what she was trying to cover her ears from. She was trying to ignore something she couldn’t even avoid hearing. She was trying to shake away the voices inside her own head. Lilithmon, being one of those herself, had awakened some of Tsukiko’s own demons.
“You’re a fraud. Are you going to run away again?” With her eyes closed, Tsukiko could see a pink-haired teenager, standing in the middle of nowhere, throwing a judgemental glance at her. “Just like when we were little, right? Running away from the enemy, running away from your fears.” She continued. “People is dying to keep you safe and you’re just going to turn your back at them? Pathetic.”
“SHUT…” Tsukiko dropped the flowers and started running towards Lilithmon, raising a hand to slap her. “… UP!”
She was stopped and lifted halfway through her goal. Taken off the ground by a much bigger force, holding her by her ankle. Her eyes widened up, she turned her upside-down head to see… Mitsuharu. The dinosaur was staring at Lilithmon with the coldest glare that could be issued.
“A demon that doesn’t instate fear.” His tone of voice was serious and almost sepulchral. “I didn’t think that was possible.” He had sheathed his word again, with one hand he was effortlessly holding Tsukiko's ankle, while she remained upside-down. With the other one he was holding the flowers the girl had previously dropped. “But you’re one of those. A demon that, instead of forcing others to obey their will through force or intimidation, tricks them through lies, deceive and appealing to their most internal fears and desires.” He made a pause, cementing his words. “I’m not scared of you.” He turned his back at the demon, slowly walking away. “I just hate you so much I’m not going to fight you until I’m one hundred percent sure I’m going to eliminate the last piece of your evilness. I'm not going to take any risk of dying before completely eliminating you from this world.”
“W-What are you doing!?” Tsukiko started thrashing, while the Dinohumon just tightened his grip. “Aren’t we going to fight this evil demon!? Why are you running a way!? We need to-“
“SHUT THE FUCK UP.”
Mitsuharu’s words echoed through the forest. Tsukiko’s eyes widened. She just stared blankly at her digimon partner.
“M-Mitsuharu…”
“You told me that it didn’t matter what you said or the scenario, once you said ‘Ashikagas Retreat’ I just had to obey, didn’t you?” His eyes went to Tsukiko for a second. “You didn’t convince me of escaping two times just to ignore everything you said and go back in there to die. You’ve been too strong through all of this. I’m not going to let you crumble now.”
Tsukiko’s blue eyes acquired a new glimmer. One that was definitely more characteristic of the pink-haired girl. She let out a sigh and let herself be carried out of Lilithmon’s illusion.
Being a leader with nerves of steel, who could take the right call to save your clan felt great. Having a partner who would stick by the right calls even when you have lost yourself in your own tremors? That felt fantastic.
Sadly, after escaping their last temptation, the Ashikagas couldn’t see the rest of the group. Apparently, they had separated from the squad in their escape. However, the mist was almost completely gone, which made the way out of the forest a lot easier. This didn’t make the Dinohumon run any slower or look back for even a second, though. Once the treeline had spread and they could see, once again, the green plains in the horizon, Mitsuharu stopped, placing Tsukiko on the ground. The dinosaur’s panting was loud and constant. Almost incessant. Tsukiko remained laying on the ground, staring at the blue sky. Was it... finally over? “You must have gone crazy.” A voice that she would recognize anywhere got to Tsukiko’s ears. “What were you even thinking!?” It was... her own voice. The figure of Tsukiko appeared in the girl's field of vision, blocking the sunlight and looking down at herself. “I don’t know what the hell you were fighting against but...” Was she still looking at herself like when she closed her eyes back there? She gasped, thinking for a second she was still at Lilithmon’s illusion. The rest of the fake Tsukiko's words explained a lot. “… you considered going back there for a second, didn’t you? You almost died in there.” The human, showing a disapproving expression at her own self, who was laying on the ground expression, continued. Mitsuharu just stared at Tsukiko speaking to... Tsukiko. “I was about to go in there and get you out, but I figured I would only get lost trying. There was a thick fog around the whole forest. So I just tracked you from afar and waited for you at where you were coming out.”The standing Tsukiko snapped her fingers, her image vanishing into… a Babamon. “Kissu-grandma…” Mitsuharu muttered. His body started glowing as he went back to a Bushi Agumon. "How was your visit to your friend?" Tsukiko stood up, dusting herself up. It was hard to look at the elder right now. She was a clear reminder of an ally they had just lost, considering they were the same species. "It was good". The Babamon answered dismissively. She then turned her head at the forest. “What were you even facing in there? Its sole presence felt like... nothing I had felt before.”“I’m… not sure.” Tsukiko’s blue eyes went to the flowers that Mitsuharu was still holding. “But… whatever it was…”
The leader of the Ashikagas turned her back at the woods and started walking away along with her clan. “… I’m sure this is not the last we’ll see of it.”
Right now, she could only hope the rest of the group had made it out in one piece.

Bagramon was caught aback by Morgan's concern, blinking a few times. It was almost as if he needed to confirm what he was seeing. Then he threw his head back and laughed. "This isn't the first thing that's tried to kill me," he said. The bitterness and defiance in his voice cut like a knife. "I'd love to see this rotten egg try and match up to half of the shit I've survived." He strode into the forest, continuing to diligently push Devitamamon back. She shrieked and flailed, but was helpless to break through the ashen cage around her. Were it not for the defiant hisses snaking through the treeline, it would be as if the duo was never there.
Hopefully, the sound of wood splintering would be of no concern.
The battle raging outside had finally moved away from earshot. The battle raging within, too, had subsided. Bit by bit, all those assembled had forced today's events out of their hearts. In no case was it easy. Everyone who had come to the forest today seemed to leave at least one part of them behind. But in the end, they had wandered into the belly of the beast and come out survivors. Compared to the fog pushing against their bodies and the fears pushing against their minds, the walk outside would seem like the simplest thing in the world. No more shadows stalked them from afar. No more voices haunted them. Even the ever-present chill down their spines would seem to fade as they stepped outside of the treeline.
They were safe.
B S-RANK MISSION PLOT EVENT COMPLETE
Protect Tsukaimon's human - 12,000 Bits Find the flowers for Layla - 3,000 Bits Survive - 16,250 Bits
Minor Artifact(?) - Strange Seeds: A handful of seeds from Lilithmon's flowers. They seem inert . . . for now. Perhaps it will take a strong stimulus to bring their true nature to bear.
Of course, if Hiroyo and Leo thought they'd be able to rest their weary heads after today, they'd unfortunately be wrong. Just beyond the treeline was a large, shimmering keyhole. It flickered with the softness and warmth of a fireplace on a cold winter's day. "Do not be afraid!" a voice bellowed. It was almost like a young woman was trying to force her voice into a booming echo. The woman coughed a little, her voice now softening to its normal tone. "You, uh. You guys can hear me, right? I know in at least some futures you do, but . . .
Oh, never mind! I'm just gonna cut to the chase. I know you don't know me. I know you probably don't trust me, with me just popping up like this. And I know after today, you probably want a break more than anything. But you've walked into something bigger than you could ever imagine. And for that . . . I'm sorry. You kids didn't deserve all of this. But now that you know, the least I can do is prepare you.
Please, come with me. It'll be so much easier to explain that way." As the voice faded, the keyhole's glow dulled. Now it looked less like a fireplace and more like a golden liquid, gentle swirls forming along its surface.
Would Hiroyo and Leo take the offer they had been given?

The German girl lower her gaze as it seemed that Hiroyo was kind of mad and being honest Leo can't blame her, but worst and most worrying of all is that there was not sign of Tsukiko, the blonde cover her face with both hands and then lay down on the grass letting out a scream of frustration, from every possible outcome she had to go and make sure to get the worst possible one, not helping her downer mood the fact that Roger almost scold her reminding that she (or actually her former self( threw a rock at Lilithmon.
"Look..." Leo move her hands out of her face and just stare blankly at the sky while talking "I know I screw it up and made everything worse... But at least you are alive so let's just forget any of this happened" Easier said than done, but for now she just wanted to move on get a quick rest and look for a way to fix this
The Gears while concern for the well being of their general it seemed that she just needed to take a break, so they focus on Morgan's concern.
"We doubt some one like Bagramon would fall against DeviTamamon" "Remember that Bagramon has been there on the forest for such a long time that he grew inmune to the mind tricks" "It would not be too much of a stretch to assume that he could handle Devitamamon if not Lilithmon too" "That being said we do not believe that he will be able to defeat the Demon Lord" "Yet the probability of Lilithmon and Devitamamon running out of the forest after a fight with Bagramon are close t 5%" "Even if it means go and hunt a couple of Rookie level digimon we do not think Lilithmon will find it worth it after a long fight" "Besides our human partners need to take a break, unlike us they are not able to handle this kind of situations" "Of course if you want to move do it, there is no reason to wait for us"
Eleonora smiled warmly as she hear the gears speak, even after all what happen they still stood by her side which was a huge relief, without those two she didn't know how she'd face whats to come and good god if something weird is about to come in the future! Just as she thought there was one second to take a break and rest a weird keyhole appear in front of them
"Please... Please tell me I'm not the only one seeing that..." The blonde rise to a sittting position again
"Confirm unidentified portal with an unidentified voice coming out of it"
"Good, thanks"
The trio listen carefully to the voice, while it was true that there was no reason to trust it there were less reasons to not trust, and yes trusting in Layla was what got them involve on the first place but at the same time it felt like if the voice wasn't lying, and even then it was saying that was going to prepare them for whats to come, whether this voice is a reliable source or not it doesn't matter now, as long as the blonde gets a second and better chance to face Lilithmon and regain her humanity she will take all opportunities she have.
"Alright, the day can't get any worse" Said the girl standing up "Let's get this over with" Without a second thought the girl walked towards the keyhole portal the gears following her behind

"You've might've screwed this time up but next time throw the rock harder." Roger corrected. He landed heavily and his body began to glow then shrink as the power given by the digivice ebbed away. Soon enough he was his usual Kunemon form. He stretched and sighed loudly then shook his head. "Nothing gets done if you don't cause a ruckus!"
Morgan snorted at the comment but his attention was soon commanded by the gears. They made several good points but he felt the need to disagree with them. "We burned the probable reason she was in the forest, I think it is possible she'd come after us."
"Well that doesn't matter when-" Hiroyo cut off her angry tirade as the keyhole appeared and suddenly there was a new entry to the conversation. She grit her teeth as she pushed herself to her feet, she dusted off her pants as she stood but kept her face turned down. Hadn't there been enough weirdness for one day?
"Explain what, exactly?" She grumbled but Leo was going through the keyhole with the gears and Roger was eagerly following after and didn't that just sting? She bit lower lip and worked it between her teeth.
"What ever hang ups you have are best set aside. This may be our best bet to find answers. You might want to forget everything but we should not back down from this." said Morgan.
"Right, answers." Hiroyo repeated as she closed her eyes and took a deep breath. For now, it was this. For now her role was thus. She opened her eyes and nodded. Morgan was watching her with the displeasure of his impatience. She stepped through the portal with him following closely behind.

A bright light filled Leo and Hiroyo's vision as they stepped into the keyholes. After the first overwhelming flash, the pain started to ebb away in favor of a soft warmth. It was as if a blanket had been thrown around Leo and Hiroyo. While not enough to ease all of their pain, at least it could provide a bit of comfort. Such a feeling would only develop as they came closer and closer to the source, the light going from a blinding white to a soothing gold.
Then it all ended with a hefty thud. Leo and Hiroyo had spilled right onto the floor, the light immediately fading from their eyes. They were now laying on a floor of pure marble, golden light reflecting off of every facet of its speckled surface. The walls of the room were all a brilliant gold, cogs and gears visible within small gaps in the walls. Elaborate chandeliers and stained glass windows depicting various knightly Digimon gave the room an almost cathedral-esque feeling, which was only reinforced by the regal-looking Digimon standing before them. She smiled sheepishly as the two spilled onto the ground. "Bit of a rough landing, huh?" she asked, adjusting her elaborate fur stole. The bright light surrounding the room made it hard to look at the Digimon, as it glistened off of her gilded armor and rose-colored jewels to an almost painful extent. However, to those able to stand looking at her for more than a few seconds at a time, the smile on her face was peaceful and reassuring. They would also notice that she seemed to wear a cat's-eye pattern sleeping mask on her head, which never blinked no matter what she was doing. "ClavisAngemon's keyholes can be a bit disorienting the first dozen times you use them. But it's okay. You're with friends, now."
She turned around, gesturing to the rest of the room with a grand, sweeping gesture. "Welcome to the Sanctum on High!"
The room that Hiroyo and Leo had fallen into was just the antechamber, it seemed. Behind them was an opening into a far larger, rounder room. It almost seemed to be a throne room of sorts, various chairs surrounding a velvet carpet and a large marble table. A projection of a large globe hovered above a table, turning to show the extent of the Digital World. An ominous sigil hovered over the Server Woods, resembling the bat-like marking that had been present on Lilithmon's forehead. Occasionally angelic servants darted to and fro, approaching the largest two chairs in the room.
Two figures sat atop these gilded thrones, their identities concealed by an overbearing light. However, the stained glass windows behind them belied their identity. They were both angels, one feminine and one masculine, with a dozen golden wings and soothing blue armor. They were every bit as regal and stoic atop their thrones as they were in their artistic depictions, the slightest tilts of their heads making it clear that they were now turning to face their new arrivals. Between the two of them was a far more cartoonish angel, with a plush looking pink body and the ornamentation of a jester. They sat up from their humble wooden chair, waving towards the duo. "So these are the humans, huh?" they asked. "Don't really look like much. 'Course, they're the ones who Razzie's saying survived a dance with a Demon Lord, so who am I to judge? Come on in, will ya? Not like any of us are gonna bite. Too hard."
Rasielmon rolled her eyes. Or, more accurately, the patterns on her mask shifted in the approximation of an eye roll. "Easy, Cherubimon. These humans have been through enough today," she chided. "My name's Rasielmon, and these are my compatriots: Ophanimon, Seraphimon, and Cherubimon."
Ophanimon was the next to rise, stepping off of her throne to approach more closely to the humans. She stood about a head taller than the already statuesque Rasielmon, and the look in her eyes was cold as she looked the humans up and down. "Rasielmon tells us that you have information of importance," she said. Her voice was blunt, as if she didn't want to spend a second longer on this than she needed to. "Tell me everything that you saw in those woods. The fate of the entire Digital World depends on it."
Rasielmon cringed a little. She tried to offer the two humans a soft, sympathetic smile to make up for Ophanimon's chilliness, but it likely was of little help. "I'm sure you'd all appreciate some rest first, but-"
"Ain't no rest for the wicked, kid," Cherubimon said. He practically bounced out of his seat, landing next to the humans with far more daintiness than his rotund frame indicated. "And that means even less of a chance for us up here to catch our breath. 'Course, doesn't mean you gotta bulldoze over these two like that, Ph-"
"Do forgive me if I'm not in the mood for pleasantries, Cherubimon. Or for those nicknames of yours," Ophanimon interjected. "Somebody up here needs to keep the rest of your heads from floating off into the clouds." Nevertheless, she stopped and took a breath, trying to work up a slight smile for the humans. "Now, could you please tell me what you last saw?"

As the group walked through the keyhole portals a feeling of relief fill Eleonora, even the gears felt happy and at peace floating towards whatever the next destination was, almost as if all the pressure and pain they had this day vanish with every step, the sweet and relaxing walk came to a sudden end as the German felt like falling and indeed she did landing face first on a golden room, the floor and walls covered in golden, big elavorated Chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, add up the regal looking digimon in front of them and saying that the German was confuse was a big understatement, poor girl definitely doesn't know on what she got herself involved.
"Looking through Data banks... E R R O R" "No information available of the digimon in front of us"
Welp... That's a first time, the fact that the gears don't know anything about this digimon made Eleonora even more nervous than what she already was, although her looks and soft speech where enough to relax her a bit that didn't help the sheer confusion and being honest? Right know she would love to just turn her back and walk again from that keyhole but that was not an option anymore.
Without saying a word Leo follow this digimon to the next room, it was larger and circular with a table on the center that show an holographic projection of what she assumes is the digital world, around that table various chairs on which three more digimon were sitting, while the first two have a distinct human figure and a set of Angel wings the third look cartoonish and whacky yet he had a similar imposing aura to the other two.
"It is incredible... We are in front of the Three Great Angels" "Those who are the leaders of the angel digimon" "They represent Law, Wisdom and Love"
The gears giving a little of context of who this three were while it help it didn't ease Leo at all, if anything she just realize that whatever she got involve it's a several ways bigger than what she initially thought, even after entering this room she couldn't imagine the scale of this little adventure just took, even when Ophanimon got closer and start questioning them the German could only sit on the floor holding her head and looking down to the floor, eyes widened and breathing heavily, either because she was trying to process everything that's going on or because she was too scare at this point the girl wasn't able to say one word or make one sound, so the gears decided to intervine.
"Since our general is no conditions to talk for now, we will try our best to fill the blanks" "Although it will be best if our other companions here can help us get the full story across" "We were hired as bodyguards for a girl named Layla and her Tsukaimon, the mission was simple escort her through the server woods to find some flowers" "While we ourselves can not confirm it, this flower seemed to have a special scent that change from person to person" "Once inside the forest we split up due to a thick mist, from that point our stories differ due to our different experience on the forest" "The two of us and Morgan the FanBeemon were complitely splitted from our human partners, the forest and mist playing trick on us" "We met with two figures one that prove to be helpful on Bagramon, while the other was a Mephistomon that tried to convince us to give up and live on a blissful ignorance" "Bagramon said that he had spend so much time on the woods that he grew inmune to the effects of the mist, guiding us through the forest and helping us reunite with our partners" "From that point we reach the destiny were the flowers where, at that point the girl Layla reveal itself as one of the Seven Great Demon Lords, Lilithmon" "Thanks to the sacrifice of Babamon and the help of Bagramon we manage to escape and not soon after the keyhole brought us here" "We can confirm the destruction of almost all flowers that Lilithmon so much she desire, one of our companions may still have two but we can not confirm that"
Hopefully the explanation albeit little confusing with each gear speaking one sentence each other was helpful enough for the angels, the last sentence of Hagurumon X took out the German from her shock state and brought her back to "reality", she slowly raised her gaze and look at Rassielmon
"You said something like we hear you in some futures... That means that you can see the future, right? Is Tsukiko alright?" Eleonora asked concerned for the well being of their missing companion

Post by Hiroyo Oda on Mar 29, 2019 3:27:04 GMT
Hiroyo had been dragged through the mud today. She had run through the woods in fear of her life and had lost all her make up when she threw her purse as a distraction for a giant insect-dinosaur that had been trying to eat her.
To say she didn't feel nearly up to the task of standing in front of such august prescences was a severe understatement.
She was reminded of all of this via flash back when she reached for her purse in a vain attempt to freshen up and look presentable for the current company. There was a moment while the gears rattled off not knowing the the golden-armored cat in front of them where Hiroyo stared into the distance and just thought about everything that had happened today.
Her cheek where Layla had kissed her felt like it was burning. She couldn't see it, and hadn't been aware it had been glowing in the first place, but now there was no light, only heat on her skin.
She watched as Morgan landed and nodded respectfully. She watched as even Roger moved with care and respect for the place they were in.
She is hollow. She is withered with disappointment, with the toil. She is crashing down off of her high of promise, off of her words that promised plans she hadn't even thought of yet.
That might be a good thing, considering the company they are currently keeping.
"We shall follow," Morgan says like he speaks for all of them and she just nods and leaves little crescents in the palm of her balled up hands because he does, he always does when she's not enough.
She's coming out of the fog now, she's opening her eyes and the gilt and the glitter that they pass under hurts.
She follows quiet and demure and exhausted. She listens quiet and attentive and she hears Roger say -
"There was a former holder of Lust there, she helped us, saved us. Said she had been redeemed by time."
- and knows that there is danger because this is the Light and something in her sings that it isn't soft and kind like a gentle sunbeam on a cloudless day.
It is the glare after the storm, the bright cloud high in the sky above the rain and the water and the living. The three that talk, they act like sunbeams but something in her grows cold and still and watchful. Its rare that her intuition speaks, rarer that she listens but she'd sounded so heartbroken when Hiroyo had gone, what Hiroyo hasn't yet planned is going to require a dance of careful steps for it tonot turn out bloody.
Roger keeps talking and she wonders if she'll need to step in. He's open and honest about things she'd rather not think about and she can't help but wince at the thought his description of their situation brings up. She pieces the names together from his description of events and shudders again at the memory of brown sludge reaching from egg shell.
"We can only reach champion, Hiroyo isn't our original partner but we were barely able to get away from the Devitamamon who had been concealing itself as a Tsukaimon."
The gears talk and talk and talk but beyond Roger's remarks and Morgan's nodding it seems her two are too worn to say more. She'd never thought she'd see Roger like this but Leo speaks and Hiroyo looks at her curiously because speaking of-
"Uh, weren't you dead? You threw a rock at her head and she did something. Roger had to pull you out. Are, are you actually okay right now?"

At the sudden outpouring of praise, Cherubimon couldn't help but smirk. "Aw, you shouldn't have~" they quipped. All the while they posed, as if taking some sort of invisible photoshoot. "I guess we are pretty great, huh? Though yeesh, talk about the cat-eared elephant in the room. You can't go calling us three when Razzie's right here!"
Ophanimon accepted her praise in a far more stone-faced fashion. "I assure you, we are nothing out of the ordinary," Ophanimon said. "We are mere observers from above. Plenty of angels work outside of our jurisdiction . . . for better, or for worse."
Rasielmon cringed a little. She knew exactly the type that Ophanimon was referring to. "Anyway, let's hear what these humans have to say," she added, hoping to steer the conversation back on track. Whereas Ophanimon was stoic in the face of such praise and Cherubimon was clearly loving it, she almost seemed a little bit overwhelmed to be around it. It was almost a relief to her when Roger, Morgan, Gurren, and Lagaan began rattling off the adventure's details.
That relief immediately faded when a certain B-word was mentioned. Cherubimon promptly rushed over to Gurren, planting a massive hand over the gear's face. "You know, maybe we don't gotta hear every detail, they said, laughing nervously. "Ain't that right, Phani- awww, crapbaskets. Ophanimon wasn't even looking at the duo, her face paling as she looked towards Seraphimon on his golden throne.
The angel had risen, light casting off of his innumerable wings as he spread them wide. "I would prefer if we didn't mention that name around here," he said, his voice practically echoing off of the gilded walls. He stepped forward calmly, each footstep reverberating through the room. The lack of any visible face on the angel only made his approach more ominous. Nevertheless, when he had finally approached the little congregation, his voice was soft and pleasant. "Continue," he said, the easy tone almost making it sound more like a request than a demand.
It was everything that the Angels had expected to hear, yet everything that they feared. Seraphimon motioned Ophanimon and Cherubimon over to him, their wings intertwined in a circle in order to keep their conversation private. As they spoke in "private," Rasielmon figured she'd clear up Leo's question. "Yes. Er, kind of," she said. "Time is not a line. Think of it more like a river, with a lot of branching points. Everything that could possibly happen is another little fork in the river, and each of those forks has countless forks of their own coming up down the stream. So I don't know "the" future. But I certainly know futures. It's all about seeing what's likely to happen, and banking on that. So I'd say there's at least a 90% chance Tsukiko's going to be okay.
. . . Wait, we're in the rock timeline?" Rasielmon's mouth hung in a shocked expression, and she had to adjust her cat's-eye mask out of disbelief. "Wow, I, uh . . . okay, this is going to be changing a lot of my predictions."
Cherubimon promptly looked up from the huddle, holding up a massive hand for a high five. "Can we keep this one? I like her style," they asked.
With Cherubimon's focus dropping, the other two angels turned away from the huddle. Standing tall and proud, Ophanimon took the reigns of this discussion. "Well, we've had plenty of false positives before," Ophanimon began. "But this sounds like it was a genuine member of the Seven. Honestly, I'm amazed it had taken this long for a sighting."
"We've been cooped up in this sanctum forever just waiting for one to appear," Cherubimon complained. "I swear, it's about time we had some acti-"
Immediately Rasielmon blasted past her fellow angels. "Everyone, please, come over here!" she blurted. Her long furred coat trailed behind her as she sped over to the map of the Digital World. "Something's about to happen. I'm sure of it. And maybe if there's still time, we can-
Oh no."
Slowly, Lilithmon's insignia over the Server Woods faded. Just as Cherubimon was about to make his disappointment clear, three more symbols appeared. One, resembling a cloud of rainbow mist, swirled into view deep into the Digital Sea. Another, looking more like a shattered alarm clock, came bursting from the below the largest mountain in the Northern Prominence. A third, looking more like an eye than anything else, had taken form over Terminus City. The map was now flashing red and beeping, Rasielmon lowering her head as she looked over it. "That's three manifestations . . . but how? We've never had this many Demon Lords spring up at once like this before."
"It doesn't matter where they came from," Ophanimon said. "What matters is that we find where they're coming from and put them to the sword before they can threaten the fabric of the Digital World!"
"Slow your roll there," Cherubimon interrupted. "I want to get some demon heads cracked as much as the next guy. But three at once? Even if we tried to take them on two at a time, that's still one rampaging demon unaccounted for and the rest of us spread way too thin."
"That's not even getting into Lilithmon," Rasielmon added. "I can't get a good read on her position. And if she's staying active too, that's more than half of the Demon Lords we have on our plates. But we can't just sit back and do nothing, either."
"I'm going to the Dark Area." The room fell into a hush as Seraphimon made his declaration. "The Demon Lords have never been this coordinated before. And I think I know exactly who is to blame for this. If I can cut the head off of this serpent before it arises, then we'll have a far easier time dispatching the rest." Rasielmon shot nervous look over to the other two angels, but they didn't seem to notice. Seraphimon's idea had seemingly gone unquestioned.
"Sounds like a great plan. If you want to get yourself killed, that is."
If the room was hushed before, it was absolutely silent now. Bagramon had just stepped through the same antechamber that Leo and Hiroyo had previously come from. His cape was torn to shreds, holes were seared in his armor, and his ashen hand was snapped clean off at the wrist, but the grin on his face was all too wide. He nodded in acknowledgment at Leo and Hiroyo, then surveyed the other angels that had come to roost here. His eyes narrowed in suspicion at Rasielmon's presence, and the grin on his face immediately faded. "I see four is no longer too many," he said, bitterness caked into his voice.
"I thought I had told you to never set foot here again," Seraphimon said. The slightest bit of strain seeped into his genial voice, and the two angels were soon standing face to face.
"You know damn well why I'm here. For once, Seraphimon, consider that our thoughts don't revolve around you," Bagramon spat back. "I'm here to warn you about the resurgence of the Demon Lords."
"Rasielmon has warned us just fine," Seraphimon said. "As have these humans. We should be fine to handle this from here."
"I guess you're right," Bagramon said, smirking dangerously. He cocked an eyebrow, leaving the ashen half of his face fully exposed. "I mean, you sure sounded like you had it handled. After all, the four of you were panicking at the idea of facing off with, what, three of them? And that's when you have the numbers advantage. I'd love to see how your plan works out when the other three wake up and the numbers flip.
But I guess you'll be too busy getting killed in an honor duel to care. Business as usual up here, it seems."
"And who else is supposed to stop this world from falling apart at the seams?" Seraphimon asked, yelling for the first time today. "This is a burden I can't ask anyone else to bear. Too much blood has been shed by these Demon Lords in the past. If I can end this war before a single life down below is wrapped into it, than I will do everything in my power to do so.
Now, if you'll excuse me. There is work to be done." Seraphimon stormed off to the antechamber, shouldering roughly past Bagramon in the process.
"Seraphimon, wait-!" Rasielmon called, but she was too late. With a heavy beat of his wings, Seraphimon faded into light a mote of light. The ball shimmered twice, and then it was gone.
Cherubimon and Ophanimon stared after the orb, silent. "Damn fool," Cherubimon muttered, only to be met with a harsh elbow to the ribs from Ophanimon. "Hey, come on, it's not like we aren't all thinking i-"
"There is no need to speak ill of him," Ophanimon hissed. "He is simply doing what he thinks will help most. Although I am sure we would have been able to talk him down had somebody not riled him up." She cast a baleful gaze at Bagramon, who was quite pointedly ignoring her. "You have a lot of nerve coming back here."
"Just because you respect Seraphimon doesn't mean you need to carry his grudges for him," Bagramon said. "I never wanted to come back. But when the demons are knocking at our doorstep, what am I supposed to do? You need answers, and I'm here to give them.
Do you see these mortals here? They could barely muster a Champion form between them, and yet when faced with the literal incarnation of lust, did they run? No, they stood and fought with anything they could, until they were let with no other choice but to retreat. And even then, they got one over her."
"Yep. He's trying to get the rest of us killed," Cherubimon chimed in.
"So what are you suggesting?" Ophanimon asked. "That we send literal children to war? Have these humans and their partners not suffered enough?"
"No. Yggdrasil, no. They never should've come here in the first place," Bagramon said. "But I've wandered all across the Digital World. There are countless Digimon, of all levels, of all types, of all dispositions, who would lay down their lives to protect their world. Do you really think these are innocents to be spared? They are Digimon, too. Battle is in their very nature. Or have you been too busy hiding in the shadows to remember what we truly are?"
"We have no right to draft the Digital World into a war it never asked for," Ophanimon said.
Just as Ophanimon was about to continue, Rasielmon stepped forward. "Can I interrupt?" she asked. Both Bagramon and Ophanimon shot her glares, but she continued nevertheless. "I know you're not gonna like me saying this, but . . . Bagramon is right." Completely taken off guard, Bagramon backed down. Ophanimon was quick to follow suit. "Maybe it's because I've only been an angel for a little while. But I'm pretty sure the rest of the world should get a say in what they can and can't do, you know? I'm not talking some global war, but I don't think we should keep on hiding up here, either. At least, we should warn everyone down below before they end up wrapped in a situation they don't understand, you know? It certainly would've saved the humans up here a lot of trouble.
And once we put out the warnings, I'm sure there will also be plenty of heroes to answer the call. With the Digital World's best and brightest taking a stand against the Demon Lords, I'm sure we'll be way less spread thin, right?"
Cherubimon shrugged. "Sure beats my plan," they said, likely to cover up for the fact that they didn't quite have a plan. "You've got my vote, at least." Ophanimon and Bagramon both looked at the other, each hesitant to be the first to speak. Instead, they settled for a handshake, not quite making eye contact with one another in the process.
Rasielmon beamed, clasping her hands together. "Perfect! I'll prepare the broadcast," Rasielmon said. She turned to her guests once more, smiling wearily. "One heck of a day you just had there, huh? You can all go home and rest now. I think we all know you need it. There should be a ClavisAngemon in the antechamber. Ask him to bring you home and you'll find the keyhole will bring you right there."
For once, our heroes' long journey had come to an end.

The gears, the angels, the two bugs, everyone was talking and rambling and in all honesty this didn't help the German like at all, there is only two things she wants, one to know if Tsukiko was alright (something that in a way she got her answer but sadly and at the same time the mention of "the rock timeline" just drop more pressure and guilt on her back) and to take a freaking break from all this Demon Lord nonsense!
To make matters worst Bagramon return and good god that open a new can of worms that confuse the German even more, the only thing she got out of everything was that the Demon Lords were getting out of their hide outs and that meant bad news, really really bad news, but fortunately or unfortunately that also means that there is more chances of meeting Lilithmon again and getting her revenge and retrieving her former self, she needs to build her army as soon as possible.
She would try to speak but at this point the angels were so focus on their chat that whatever the German or the gears could add or say was minimal and not important so she just let them finish and nod when Rassielmon told them to find a ClavisAngemon to open another of those keyhole portals, once she found one and the portal was open Leo would turn and walk towards Hiroyo and her twins.
"I know that me saying it probably doesn't mean much after what I did but..." She took a deep breath before continuing "But I'm deeply sorry for what I did, I wasn't thinking straight and I could've hurt you or worse" She then look at both bugs and hesitantly gave a soft headpat to Roger "You two were very brave, specially you Roger thanks for helping me"
"Thanks Morgan too" "Without you we most likely would still be in the forest"
"Well, I guess this is a see you later? Because I feel that you and I aren't going to let that witch with capital B roam around freely, I feel I screw this up big time and I have to owe it, when I have the chance I'll fix this mistake and hope you three are there to help me" She smiled, there was one thing still on her mind and was answering Hiroyo's question about her "death" but it's better to leave the girl in the shadows about that, no need for her to know nor carry that burden
When everything was said and done the German and her two gears walk through the keyhole appearng near Terminus, from there she'll go to the Trailmon station but her plans will have a sudden change and one more quick adventure will lead her to the first new partner and the creation of the Brave Heart Army!
