(OOC: Sorry for the delay. I started a new job and my internship ended, so I was really busy, sorry)
John and Sheppard had just made it to their room, after emptying most of their funds for this place and after a short "Everythings fine on our side" in the radio, their attentionw as caught by the commotion outside. They just barely made it to the balcony to see Vee landing on the Skullgreymon and were visibly suprised by that.
"So much for beeing stealthy, hope he's alright." John mumbled to himself, as he went back into the room. Even with this distraction and problem, they needed to keep a low profile. Both of them rushing out to see what happend normal, but staying outside to watch was not. So only Sheppard remained on the balcony, with a happy and derpy smile on his face, looking at the commotion down there. Maybe somebody would try to sneak away while all of this was happening. For a moment the dragon-soldiers eyes turned to the roof Vee had seemingly jumped down from and then wandered across the other roofs. He spotted a digimon wear a black coat, obviously observing the entire situation, gaze first on Vee, then on the road. Sheppard huffed for a moment, before he returned to his act, smiling widely and waveing the people passing below them. Every few seconds he peaked a little at the strangers, whos eyes seemed glued to the road below.

"Uhh...yeah, yeah sure. I'll join up with you two if I can." Hanging up, Justice took a deep sigh and face palmed. The weight of potentially jeopardizing the mission started to take a toll on his mind. That encounter with the Red Veggiemon was way too close. Maybe he could have just asked him if he could use the roof for filming purposes...no. He was in a bad mood anyway. No way he would have let them use the roof anyway. What's done is done.
"Fucking hell, Justice. How are you gonna get out of this one?" he muttered to himself. Picking himself back up, he started to walk back to the restaurant, keeping a low profile in the crowd just in case the Red Veggiemon was still looking for him. As he was walking, he started to wonder how Vee and Gummy were doing, especially the former. He'll try and give the two a call in a little bit to check on them. Suddenly he spotted a mysterious figure in a suit; most likely a Digimon. He could sense a menacing aura around the figure as he was looking around, but for what exactly, him?
"Oh you got to be shitting me." Justice said. Did the Red Vegiemon called the local law enforcements? Not wanting to take any chances, he slipped past an alleyway juts before the figure turned to his direction. Whoever he is, he was not someone Justice wanted to find out...
"So apparently, the only thing to separate a real Digimental from a fake is by the crest, huh?" Gummy said to himself. This was the first time he was actually seeing one, so he wouldn't know the difference between ones that have a crest, or the different types. But since the Skull Greymon said that the previous type, the WF, was a big hit, this one would probably be no different. This ES type still kept his suspicions on alert.
Before he could ask Skull Greymon another question, they were interrupted by someone crashing their converstation, literally, as a certain Veemon wearing a scarf flopped on to Skull Greymon's head. The landing was planned, but he did not expected the pain on his hips to follow. Covering his mouth to avoid yelling, all that can be heard was "Oh Yggdrasil, I've never felt so much pain!" He flopped over to his stomach, not wanting to sit on his butt.
"Oh, sorry, sorry," he said, "give me one sec." he scooted closer to Vee to whisper to him, not wanting the Skull Greymon to get the wrong idea. "Bro, what the hell are you doing, where's Specs at?"
"My bad, my bad." Vee uttered, still in pain. "Our plan...didn't exactly worked out and we got separated. Someone was chasing me, I saw you, and the only way to escape was jumping off a roof."
"We're you followed?"
"I don't...think so... Ah, give me a minute. Oh Yggdrasil, this hurts so much."
Gummy sighed at patted his brother on the head, trying to comfort him. Not wanting to make Skull Greymon wait for his response any longer, he leaned to his ear. "Sorry about that, mister. The one that did that my brother. He was looking for me and accidently fell off a roof when he spotted me. Is it alright if he stays up here with me? He took a rather...painful blow when he landed on you."
"Yeah...sorry about that, Mr. Skull Greymon sir." Vee said. "Wasn't intentional."

"Copy that," Alan breathed, taking his seat, listening intently to the chattering groups of digimon nearby, then looking out the window to view the subjects of conversation. "'Caught spying?' I thought everybody was trying to get a look. What do you suppose the difference between spying and normal viewing is?"
Levi grunted, and the grunt slowly turned into a response. "Wwwwwwwell…." he cocked his head to one side and raised his hand to a position parallel to the table. "To be fair, the legality of the vantage point could be an issue."
"True, true." His partner nodded. "But is that the only factor? Is there something you can see at some angles that others you can't?"
"Probably not, unless the 'other angle' is something like 'from behind.'"
"Huh."
Neither of them seemed very much concerned for the safety of their teammates atop SkullGreymon. They trusted them enough, and being suspicious just helped them blend in with the rest of the suspicious crowd. "They do look pretty cute up there, don't they?" said Alan before turning his attention to the digimental sale. "What do we even know about these things so far? As far as I can tell, they're just providing an essential, in-demand service-"
"Like murder!" chimed Levi, happily, to cackling response.
"And it's not too hard to believe that they could really figure out how to make something like this, what with how the digital world has shown itself to work up until now. But I suppose we're just making sure is all."

All of this happened at the same time.
The moment Justice gone from the sight, the black clothed figure looked disappointed. It felt like they truly are looking for Justice. They quickly spoke to someone over what looked like a walkie talkie, then walked away. With Justice getting away, he's not in immediate danger of failing the mission anymore. No one also seemed to mind Shepherd. Although some bypasser would waves back at him, some Digimons would wonder if he has yet mature data wise and had part of his data compromised, or if he have some major flaw in it...
Poor SWAT dino's reputation takes massive hit that day...
However... Vee and Gummy meanwhile...
The Skullgreymon hums thoughtfully. "I thought what's up, turned out you have a brother that wanted to watch along with you? Why didn't you approach me the first time? Silly boys... going up there is trespassing you know? Ol' Reddie over there," he pointed at the fruit vendor beside them "really hates this stall. He was unable to sell his wares... and because he felt the entire business is sketchy, he doesn't want his business to have image of having a sketchy neighbor. The first day this shop opened, there are actually various bird types Digimon that perched up on his store's roof. It obviously made him mad. You going up there probably is the worst strategy ever."
"...Hey," suddenly, someone called out. There are at least four Cyclomon dressed in black suits. "Excuse me sir, but we need to talk with that two over there."
...Straight to the hot water.
Meanwhile, someone seem to overheard Alan and Levi's talk. "Hey you guys over there, are you curious? Basically, it's pretty easy when you're spying or looking. Those who spies tends to be more... strategic in their way of trying to look at what's up. Curious onlookers tends to stay on the sidelines, but those who are spying usually would bend the rules a bit. Trespassing, chatting up with someone in suspicious way... and acting out of norm. People who are not used to rules of actual spying tends to be silly in their approach of spying, and it would make them busted out easier."

Sheppards claws were twitching, as he kept up his dumb smile and looking. Thankfully he had deposited his rifle on the rooms bed, so nobody would care and he couldn't just grab it out of instinct. They had agreed on a safe word, once he would say it, John would immediately throw him the rifle, so he could intervene. However, his hand still hovered over one of the grenades on his belt and he had to really constrain himself not to throw it right into the group of Cyclomon. "That's a nice show down there. Hey there Mister Spy guys." Sheppard used the most innocent and dumb voice he could muster, while waving to the group of Cyclomon down there. John had heard the commotion from the inside, but now Sheppard had given him an excuse to also peak out the balcony. John got a short overview and then knocked Sheppard on the head scolding him for annoying the people on the street. As he went back into the room, Sheppard, while smiling widely, whispered at him through clenched teeth. "You are so going to have to make me an 20 egg omlet for this.". Feeling his already abused wallet crying in his pocket, John only replied with a "I know.", before sitting down on the bed, ready to throw the rifle to Sheppard immediately. The situation was bad, but they needed to keep a low profile as possible. Also firing a gun in the middle of the city would probably cause a panic, so they would only resort to it if absolutely needed.

Alan listened thoughtfully to the input of the helpful stranger, while simultaneously unsettled by the idea that someone was able to listen so thoroughly into their casual conversation that they could join in with a completely relevant take on their topic of conversation.
"So it's about method and intent, huh? That's about what I figured. Still, I wouldn't be surprised if some curious onlookers were crazy enough to use suspicious methods. People can be all kinds of insane, you know? But anyway, I thought 'all publicity is good publicity' or whatever. I'm in no position to tell these people how to run a business, but as far as they're concerned, spies are free advertising, so I see no reason to call in the suits on these guys." He had just noticed that Vee and Gummy might be in trouble, but he wasn't sure what he could possibly do to help. "But ah, I guess it must be in the interest of Justice not to ignore it when a pair of small dragons are getting themselves into trouble." He said that last bit with his head tilted down into the microphone slightly, though he tried his best not to make the it perceptibly different than the rest of the sentence. He did feel rather proud for his incredibly roundabout thinking though. Levi had continued to watch the spokesperson with interest, though he wished it was easier to hear what they were saying.

Gummy gave a sigh of relief, thankful that SkullGreymon wasn't angry at his older brother for rudely landing on his head. For a second there, he though he was going to blow his temper and cause a scene, but he truly is a nice old geezer despite his scary appearance. When asked about why he didn't him earlier, Gummy shrugged. "I was...kind of scared that I wouldn't be able to find him, y'know? I didn't know what to do being in the middle of this huge crowd of spectators. After the thing was over, I was going to look for him, but it turns out he found me instead."
Vee, surprised at his brother opening up, something that he rarely does, gave a cheeky smile. "Aw, you do care about me."
"Shut the hell up." Gummy replied.
Listening to SkullGreymon talk about the fruit vendor and the Red Veggiemon from earlier, Vee gave him his full attention. Apparently, he had his suspicions about this entire business as well, but he came off so rude and angry at them for no reason that if given the chance, him and Justice could have tried to console him and see what they could do. "Yeah, it probably was..." he responded quietly. It was too late to change what happened now; what's done is done, and they have to continue with the choice they've made.
Hearing somebody calling from below, the two look down to see four Cyclomon in...black suits? Weird considering they look really off dressing formal with their physical appearances. When one of the addressed that they needed to speak with the two of them, the twins shot up in both nervousness and fear--the latter which the mission might be kaput.
"I thought you said you weren't followed?" Gummy whispered to him in anger. "Who are these guys? What did you and Specs- mff!" Vee put his hand over his mouth to keep him quiet. Vee instantly knew what this was about. That Red Veggiemon may have called in local law enforcements, or maybe they were security guards that saw his little stunt. Regardless, it was his fault. It was most likely over for him, but not for Gummy, since he didn't do anything. Jumping off SkullGreymon to meet with the four large Digimon, he took a moment to collect his thoughts. Running away was not an option since it would make him look more guilty than he already is. Instead, he decided to speak from his heart.
"I know why you're here, and I just want to say it's not for the reasons you're assuming. I know what I did was stupid and technically illegal, but all I was trying to do was find my brother up there, whom I lost in the crowd. That's all. He had nothing to do with any of this. I was just going to leave this place anyway but if you want to punish someone, punish me instead."
Gummy, who was still on SkullGreymon's head, lowered his mouth to the inside of his vest for a few seconds since his communication device was there. He spoke quietly into it, and to them, it appears as if he's just wiping his mouth.
"Specs, we might be in trouble. Our positions are as clear as day. Clear as day."
After a few minutes of hiding in the shadows, it appears that the Digimon that was looking for Justice earlier had stopped looking for him. Peaking out to make sure it was all clear, Justice took a moment calm himself down. That was close. Too close.
"Goddamn, what's with all this extra security?" he questioned, leaning his hand against the wall he was next to. "How did they already knew we were here? That's impossible." Seeing that black suited Digimon confirmed that this whole business was a potential set-up.
Suddenly the communications device on his jacket turned on, and hear Gummy on the other line. It looked like there was more Suits besides the one he was looking for. Coming out of the other side of the alley just in case nobody was still looking for him and into the crowd. He started to squeeze his way through the Digimon all around politely. Clear as day, clear as day, he repeated himself in his head. After a few moments, he spotted what seems to be a small purple Digimon on top of a large, skeleton dino Digimon and a blue dragon surrounded by the same suited Digimon he saw before.
"Ah damn." he said. To him, this was all way too excessive for the showcasing of a new Digimental.

...Well this is awkward, but Sheppards' little antics actually alerted the four Cyclomons in the suits who glared at Vee and Gummy... They... doesn't get it that they're the so called 'spy guys' did they? The menacing four adult stages kept their vision locked on the two Digimons... rather than listening to them, it looked like that they're instead only seeing them as flapping their gums irrationally. One moved in closer to grab them...
Krrrrrtt...
Yet before it could do that, a hand blocked the claw. it's at this time that suddenly the Skullgreymon stood to his full height, looking far more menacing than the smaller Cyclomons. It's at this time that even the MC are silenced by the sudden action of the Skull Greymon. They finally know that they messed up... royally.
"...Do you people have any business with my grandsons by chance?"
"Grandsons?"
"Why yes, these two are my grandsons. Do you have problem with that?"
"We have reports that our coworker saw them trespassing private property, a shop. One of them jump from the third floor of neighboring building. That stunt disrupted the demonstration."
"Disrupting it?" the Skull Greymon asked, almost mockingly. "And four of you appearing here doesn't do exactly that? My Gummy grandson was with me, but his brother was separated from us. What's wrong with a kid using high up place to find me? Are you that high and mighty to bully two kids, going out with their grandpa?"
The Cyclomons seem to be at loss of words.
"...Seriously, its you guys who disrupt it. Now if my grandsons are traumatized from this, I'm going to sue you all, you got this? I swear to Homeostasis I'll send my lawyers at you all."
This was enough to make the Cyclomons backs off, and leave the site.
"Sorry about that, lads and laddies. Do continue!"
The MC coughed a bit and seem to repeat the entire thing from the beginning. No one seemed to mind about this.

"Well that was close." went through Sheppards head, as he observed the situation unfold . He had almost caused his companions to actually get caught, so for now he returned to only observing the situation. With the Skullgreymon around he could at least relax and no longer had to think about firing his gun in a crowded place. Most people usually thought that, when SHeppard acted all innocent and well "dumb" that there were probally only blanks in the rifle. It had saved his butt several times, but for now there wasn't too much he could do anymore. John had now also relaxed and lay down on the bed, covering his face with his his hands, as he contemplated the situation. There wasn't much for them to do, except wait and observe, unless they wanted to blow their cover. And he sure as hell wouldnt get his safety deposit back, if Sheppard had to go all gunman crazy here. "Hi Mister Skullgreymon, you are so cool." Sheppard waved happily like an idiot at the Skullgreymon, hoping that his comrades would notice that they were in position. And he prayed to Goddramon that the other didn't blow the cover. If the safety deposit was lost, he could kiss his omlet goodbye.

Despite telling the four Cylcomons the truth, it seems that Vee's plead would go unheard as one of them moved closer to take him and Gummy away, despite him technically being apart of this. His instincts were telling him to try and bait them with the old "Made ya look" trick. If they fell for it, him and Gummy would have split as fast as possible. But something like that would only prolong the inevitable. He lowered his head down and closed his eyes in disappointment. "So much for telling the truth." he murmured to himself.
Gummy on the other hand clenched his fist in anger, giving them an angry glance. It pissed him off that despite his brother voluntarily taking the blame, he was gonna get busted as well just because. Though he wasn't angry at Vee in anyway. Gummy wanted to jump down there and hammer in their ugly faces. If they were going down, they were going down fighting. Before he could move however, the SkullGreymon blocked from Vee with his claw.
Hearing the SkullGreymon calling them their grandchildren, the two brothers were at a loss for words as well as Justice who was witnessing it. It looks that he was trying to cover up for them. But why? Why would drive someone like him to go out of their way just to defend two Rookies. Whatever the reason, the three were really thankful for that.
Watching the Cyclomon leave, Vee looked up at SkullGreymon. He was feeling a mix of both relief and shame "I...I don't understand. To you, we're just strangers. You could have easily turned us in just now. You-" As he said that, Justice walked right next to him, surprising both him and Gummy.
"Yeah, you had every right to do so, but you didn't." Justice finished the sentence for him. He bowed in front of the giant Digimon, showing his gratitude. "Whatever the reason, I'm grateful for you for keeping my Digimon safe." His voice was a bit shaken up as he got teary-eyed. Just like Vee, he couldn't find the words what to say as well. Even though he should pay attention to the spokesperson, he was too caught up in his emotions to even think about the pressing matter at hand.

Skipping Alan.
"What do you mean?" the Skullgreymon asked, almost as if playing dumb. However, there are natural tenderness when he gently pat the two child stages with his bony index finger. "They're my grandsons aren't they? Isn't it duty of grandfather to protect their grandsons? They're sure not my kids, but hell, what sort of grandfather won't protect their grandson?"
Some of the people there probably already guessed that twins and the Perfect stage aren't related, but even then, would they care? The Skullgreymon face definitely does not have any expression, but the tenderness that he shown definitely felt real.
"If a child stage getting harassed for some little mischief, would you not move to protect them? I'm doing the same anyway."
It's at this point that the demonstration began. There are several Digimental types. ES series are underwater types that looked like Digimental of Honesty, except with more submarine-like shape, WF type that looked like Digimental of Courage, but black and with three horns instead of one... and AX which is aerial uses. It looked like black version of Digimental of Love with rounder wings. The announcer showed how the Digimentals can be used. It's apparently unlike the regular one, a demonstration Digimon first enters their lab, where they're asked several questions:
What form they want What are the specification such as sizes and whatnots RAM upgrades Elements and if they have any defects in their data.
The user's data then calibrated to the Digimental, which allows them to evolve. One of the Digimon who tried, a Goblimon, picked Digimental WF, and apparently chose Asuramon-like form. Upon seeing the success, the crowd cheered.
....Yet for some reason, the Skullgreymon looked pensive.

"Wait, huh?" Justice questioned, confused on what the large skeleton Digimon just said to him. A second ago he was getting a bit emotional because the Digimon protected his Digimon in which he failed to do, but now this was starting to get a bit awkward. He hoped that this geezer wasn't going senile on him or something, because Vee and Gummy have no relatives according to them; they were born from the same Digi-Egg and that was it. No family. Nothing.
Before he could respond saying they were not, Vee tapped him on his knee, grabbing his attention. "Don't." he sternly said, shaking his head. He would hate if those Digimon from earlier were to come back again and actually kick them out of the event this time.
Understating what that tap meant, Justice kept his silence, listening to the Skullgreymon asking him if he would step in if he sees a Rookie like his Digimon were getting bullied. "Yeah...I guess I would too." Regardless, he was still grateful of a complete stranger getting his two Digimon out of harm's way, even if he suddenly grew attached to them, because who wouldn't to be honest?
Finally, the demonstration began. There were several Digimentals introduced, each one of them coming with a variety of types a user can choose whether it be for combat, aerial, or underwater usage. The first subject went on stage and chose their desired evolution to turn into. The results wound up being a success. The Goblimon was now an Asuramon. The initial worries that all three of them had were subverted. Gummy especially got a little agitated.
"Are you kidding me? You mean all this security, Vee getting chased, and us getting almost caught was all for that, a little makeover?! Laaaaaaame."
Justice couldn't help but agree. Why would this place go out of their way for all this security just for a demonstration for some new Digimentals. Do they fear someone would steal them or something? But then he looked up to the Skullgreymon, who seemed to be in deep thought. It was hard to tell since his face prevented him from property emoting due to being a giant dino skeleton and all. "Is something wrong?" he asked him.

The Skullgreymon seem understand what Justice wanted to say, but looks like he had no idea what the SkullGreymon itself wanted to convey.
"...No, it's not. That evolution is successful. That's not a mere cosmetics. If you sense its power, it's roughly there... around adult stage... or even slightly stronger?" the Skull Greymon answered. Still, looks like the boy was wondering what's up too. "For now it's best to be done with it. Are you two going buy it or something too?" he asked.
There seem to be something that the Skull Greymon hids. But it doesn't looks like he's going to join many of those people buying the digimental. Speaking of which, some doesn't immediately purchase for it either. They just buy them item, and left after talking with the seller. They also handed the buyer a card or sort.
The Skullgreymon handed the three some money. "If you want to buy it, use that money."

Sheppard kept on observing the situation. It seemed to be developing well, if they actually managed to finish the purchase, they could still call this a sucsses. His stomach was strating to growl again, he could feel how the bucket of candy he had ate was acting up again and the sound was so loud. "One more death fart from you and you'll sleep on the balcony." John screamed from inside and Sheppard, while embarrased, knew that his partner would soon have to bear the smell of death. The dragon-digimons face contorted slightly contorted, as he did his best to keep the fart inside. He had to, until the deal was done, cause it would surely be not only smelly air, but probably a biohazard. He tried to put his innocent face back on, but it only created a strange expression, like somebody trying to hide the fact that his toe had just been flattend. "Hurry up guys, can't keep it in any longer" he mumbled to himself.

"Oh! Yeah we are." Vee replied to the SkullGreymon. Honestly he was running around so much-- from a Red Veggiemon, to an ugly looking Digimon wearing suits that didn't fit their appearance that he forgot that their mission was to retrieve a Digimental if given the chance. Since they were selling it now, nobody had to go about sneaking or lying anymore, just purchasing it like a regular customer.
The Skull Greymon then handed all three of them Bits, enough to buy the Digimentals. Justice arched a fine eyebrow. "Oh um, I appreciate it." He said to him. He realized that he didn't even had the currency to purchase even one of the Digimentals since John and Shepard use the Bits that Arlo gave to them for the hotel room they were in. He wondered how they were doing since he never heard from them.
The three of them approached the vendor and waited in line. It was strange. At first they thought that the line would be really long judging by the crowd's reaction to the successful armor Digivolution. But now, everyone around them was just...contemplating on whether if they should buy it or not. Regardless, it was part of their mission to obtain one of these Digimentals. If the money the Skull Greymon gave to them wasn't enough, then their mission was by far still a success since the goal was to observe the effects of one of them.
Once it was their turn in line, Justice was a bit confused on which one to get, looking at the choices, only to brush it off since it didn't really matter. What mattered was that they acquired one of them.
"Hi. How much will the...WF Digimental cost if you don't mind?" he said to the seller. He held out his hand so Vee and Gummy can give their share of Bits to him while he was speaking.
