Even before the knock on the room's door, Mitsuharu’s steps over the wooden floor of the hall would wake Tsukiko up. It was clear she was definitely a lighter sleeper than Mao. The samurai, however, sounded a bit worried.
“Sensei. We… have a problem.” His voice was heard from the other side of the door. The pink haired girl let out a massive yawn before speaking. “I think it’s open…” And it was. Mitsuharu, accompanied by Kissu, opened the door.
“I-it’s dark!” And it was. It was pitch black, just like they had left the room last ‘night’. “And cold…” Mitsuharu added to Kissu’s words.
“Y-Yes… wait.” Tsukiko sneaked her arm out of the sheets and twisted a small wheel stuck to the foot of the bed, giving back the room its regular illumination. Before actually falling asleep, she had discovered the beds also had one of those. Huh. Silly Tsukiko.
Mitsuharu’s eyes scanned the room, they first found Mao’s bed, with the girl casually sleeping. Then, his eyes went to the other bed inside the room but… it was empty.
“Sensei?” “Oh, I’m here.” Tsukiko pulled her head out of… Mao’s sheets! She was sharing the bed with the orange-haired girl.
“W-What are you doing there?” The BushiAgumon asked, looking a bit confused.
“I turned the lights down so Mao could sleep but… as time passed, I discover that also lowers the room’s temperature like… a lot! I was freezing!” Tsukiko explained, her blue eyes still peeking from beneath sheets. “So I figured I would be warmer next to someone else. I tried to wake Mao~ru up to ask her if I could sleep with her but she sleeps like a rock! So I just did it."
“I-I see…” Mitsuharu blinked twice. That was a very odd turn of events, no doubt. “What’s g-?” Before Tsukiko could ask, Mitsuharu remembered why he had come and spoke over her. “Oh, right. It’s Pike and Ramma. They seem to be arguing inside their room. Their yelling woke Kissu-grandma and me up. I don’t think that's going to end nicely.” After all, the leader of the Ashikagas had told Mitsuharu to take care of the duo, so he was just abiding by her orders.
Tsukiko’s gaze turned firm. “I’ll be down there in a second.” She told her two clan members. But, before…
“Mao~ru… wake up…” Tsukiko felt pretty well-rested. Apparently, they had been able to get enough sleep. If Mao did too, maybe it would be easier to wake her up now? The pink-haired girl gently wagged her friend by her shoulder.

All things considered, Mao actually slept pretty well tonight for one reason or another. She was somewhat aware that someone else had climbed in her bed and the sleepy girl wound up using her as a pillow. Oops. Of course, the brief conversation that soon started between Tsukiko and her clan started to bring the girl back from dream land.
Well, 'dream land.' Having a spirit, for Mao, usually meant there was a chance between dreaming and simply...having an audience with the spirit. It was a little somber. Maybe. Either way, as Mao was beginning to return to a state best described as lucid and conscious, she noted that her bed was way warmer than before...And then Tsukiko wagged her by the shoulder and told her to wake up.
"I-I'm awake!" She jolted up and peered around the room. Why was Tsu in her bed? Why were Mitsuharu and Kissu both here? "I-I...uh...I didn't do anything I swear!" Okay, rather than ask questions? She just climbed out of bed and started getting dressed again. Thankfully, Mao's sleepwear was...just her casualwear at present. Also known as her shorts and her tank top. So, it was a matter of pulling on her socks and shoes before throwing her jacket back on.
Once that was done? "...So, what's this about the two balls?"

“Did you want to do something?” After uttering these words, Tsukiko stiffed a quiet laugh behind her hand and entered the bathroom. She got rid of her pajamas and got off wearing a white crop top, tight jeans, white snickers, and her purple jacket to top everything off. The girls came out of the room and followed Kissu and Mitsuharu. Their pace was quick.
The hall on the third floor was silent and the arguing seemed to be over. Tsukiko still approached the door to knock on it repeatedly. “Ramma? Pike? Is everything alright?” She asked. No response. “Let me try it.” Without hesitating, Kissu stepped up front. In a swift movement, she made her broom disappear and placed both hands over the door. Tsukiko stepped aside. Around five seconds of complete silence and… the door popped open!
“Amazing…” Tsukiko muttered, blinking repeatedly.
The clan entered the room. As expected, there was no one in there. The window was open and the wind entered the room, blowing the drapes. “Kissu-Grandma…” “I’m sorry, dear. I can only feel the presence of beings I know well enough. I can’t track these too yet.” Kissu responded, shaking her head slowly.
“Sensei.” Mitsuharu pointed his claw at the horizon, looking through the window. From there, the roofs of multiple houses around the city could be seen. Ramma was standing on top of one of these roofs, not too far from them.
Tsukiko placed both hands around her mouth to broaden the reach of her voice. “Ramma!” She yelled. The Mamemon turned towards the source of the shouting. “Everyone.” He ran back to the window immediately, entering the room.
“Pike and I… had an argument. He got frustrated and left.” The little metallic ball bestowed a disheveled look. “I tried to follow him, but he’s too quick for me and the town is too big. I lost track of him almost immediately.”
“What were you arguing about?" Kissu was the first to ask.
Ramma opened his mouth to explain, but Tsukiko interrupted him immediately. “You can tell us while we look for him. There’s a dangerous criminal around town. We need to get him back immediately.”
“I-I think he went to look for the Red Vemmon.” Ramma noted, still looking a bit nervous.
“He… what? Ugh.” Taking her right hand to her face, Tsukiko let out a sigh. As if things weren't complicated enough so far... “Let’s go, no time to lose.”
The group left the room and the inn, leaving the keys at the reception. Both Goyo and Alouette offered them breakfast, but they declined. A decision they would probably regret later on. They explained they had to look for one of the digimon who arrived at the inn with them. Maybe Alouette could give them a clue on where to look? Considering Pike had gone looking for the criminal.
Once they were out of the inn, it was time to start looking.

...Mao couldn't be faulted for not wanting to answer that, right? She simply blushed and looked more than a little embarrassed as she waited for Tsukiko to finish before she followed her out of the room. The room containing the two spherical Digimon was...
Empty. That was a cause for concern. A cause for great concern, at that. It was fortunate that Ramma was at least close by, and Tsukiko had managed to get his attention and get him to come back. Then, Mao gained an expression of...actual horror as Vemmon manifested near her.
"He did WHAT?" The alien was flabbergasted. "...Kid, your brother's an idiot. We need to find him. Quick. Go." With that, Mao accompanied the clan downstairs and had to decline breakfast as well before she joined them on the search.
Alouette's clue would be simple in nature. The Red Vemmon was, for lack of a better word, pretty power hungry. So, they had to go look for where they think the object he sought now would be. That, or find the sounds of a fight. According to Alouette, the alien was a pretty damn loud fighter.
...Also smelled, too.

While they quickly moved through the streets of the Hardware Den, looking for any lead, Tsukiko addressed Ramma. “So… what happened?”The Mamemon let out a sigh. He was being carried by Mao. “Pike and I got into an argument. You know how I told you we had some things to do back in Arcaria? Those things you said you would help us with.”“Y-Yes, of course.” Tsukiko realized she didn’t even know what these things were by this point. “He feels we are… kind of in a hurry.” Ramma lowered his gaze, knowing they kind of were. “He says there’s no time for us to be looking for ancient totems or sleeping at inns, so we had to look for the criminal and catch him so they opened up the exits to this place as soon as possible.” “He’s… getting impatient.” Kissu noted. Even if they didn’t know what these two were going through, it was a somewhat logical point of view. However, going off alone was definitely not the way. Not with a dangerous criminal moving around. “… the spirit of the Underworld…” Pike muttered while jumping across the roofs of the lowest zone of the Hardware Den, fairly far away from the group's location at the moment. If he wanted to catch this guy and get the hell out of here, he needed to follow any kind of hint regarding where the thing he was looking for might be. “If he has not been able to find this totem so far, he must lack the information to do so.” The Thunderballmon was thinking out loud. The chant to unlock this totem was one of the many things this red Vemmon didn’t know about, right? So it was likely the clue to find this thing lied there. Luckily, Pike had read a book about the so-called Digital World’s ‘Underworld’ in an old book his father had left in his lab. He might have a lead on the location of this thing. Little did he know he wouldn’t be able to follow it just yet. The sound of a squeal startled the Thunderballmon, making him open his eyes widely. It seemed like someone was being attacked. He immediately bolted in the shout’s direction, moving through the roofs at mighty speed. He managed to arrive rather quickly. From up the roof, he could see a cornered digimon, running into the end of an alley and turning back, knowing he was trapped. “W-Wait…! Why are you doing this to me?”Pike’s eyes went to where his words had been thrown at, just to find... “This was easier than I thought.” He yelled, trying to raise the alien’s attention and throwing a confident smirk his way.

"Can...Can I say something in our defense? Um..." Mao began. "Not to take a shot at your brother, or you, but...You never told us what those things were. We can't really go help you with those unless we know what they are..." The girl let out a sigh as they continued their search. Would they find any leads, or would some other opportunity present itself?
Meanwhile...The Wormmon's assailant merely crept closer, the dripping noise of data being all that accompanied the one-eyed horror as he revealed himself from the darkness offered by the alleyway. "Many reasons." It hissed. "I'm just looking for something. I got hungry. I like it when your fragile, insectoid form snaps in twain. Tell me. Where is the icon of Cyberdramon? I might let you live..." The crimson Vemmon looked like there were more differences to it than simply color. For one, it looked like parts of his data were dripping on the ground, like blood. And for another, there was something around his neck. A totem on a chain of...Another Digimon. Like a more matured variant of either of the aliens. Plus, he spoke...wrong. He emphasized the wrong syllables. He took awkward pauses. What was wrong with this thing? His arm twisted itself into a dagger before Pike got his attention, the creature turning as he locked eyes with the Thunderballmon X and immediately registered him as a threat. "Ah. Ball." He murmured. Time to play. What happened next was rather quick. The alien seemed to expand. Elongate. It's whole form seemed to turn into liquid as the crimson Vemmon became far...far more humanoid, it's tail being replaced with an absurdly long tail that could be represented as hair. "You know what else will be easy? Popping you like a balloon." Snatchmon declared, before it took a running start and leapt for the roof, both of it's arms becoming wicked, curved blades of crimson. It was leaping towards Pike. It swung those blades at Pike! He had the high ground, sure, but what would the lone brother do?

Looking a bit sad after hearing Mao’s words, Ramma let out a sigh. “You’re right…” He replied, not having much to say in his defense. “I guess I just thought we could talk about it once we had got out of here. I just saw getting out as our priority right now.”
“You can’t be blamed.” Mitsuharu decided to speak, while he raised his gaze, looking at the roofs. “It is true you could have told us earlier. But Pike is the one acting headlong."
The group kept moving through the city, looking for any type of clue. The place was a lot more crowded than when they arrived yesterday. After all, it seemed like it was daytime now. So all kinds of digimon were all over town. This meant…
“He can’t be around here. There are too many people. Pike would know the killer wouldn't strike around here. We have to move towards loneliest places.” Tsukiko declared. The group kept advancing through the city, while they asked for directions. Upon actually running around the city, they noticed something… this place was huge!
A Gabumon on a local shop pointed them to a small trolley car station where they could take a trolley towards the lowest parts of town. Places that were more likely to be desert. It definitely sounded faster and less tiring than running.
“So… right now sounds like a good time, doesn’t it?” Kissu addressed Ramma, as they entered the station and took a seat inside the small train-like vehicle. “Huh?” The Mamemon blinked, looking at the elder. “What you two need help with.” Tsukiko explained the Babamon’s words herself. It seemed like it would be a ride there, so why not talk about this now.
“Tell us. What’s your story?” The human’s blue eyes went to the Mamemon. She was not smiling anymore. Instead, she seemed… actually worried about Pike. Ramma stared at the girl, a bit surprised.
He still hadn’t started talking, though. Maybe he needed a push?
Back at the alleyway, it seemed like a battle was about to break loose.
“I-I have no idea of what you’re talking about!” It really seemed like this Wormon didn’t have a clue. Then again, why would he? This only proved Vemmon’s spawn was desperate to find that totem.
“I’m much more than a ball.” Pike raised both of his tiny arms into the air, making a pose that would eclipse the sun from the killer’s point of view… if there were any sun, to begin with. “The great Pike is here to stop you on your tracks, stupid alien.” If anyone on the group were around to listen, they would notice Pike was using the same tone of voice he used when he killed that Boltmon back in Arcaria.
Now, Pike’s eyes actually widened up upon seeing the alien transform into a taller, imposing creature. “So you’re using your totem right from the get-go…”
A smirk appeared on the Thunderballmon’s face. “I want to see you try.”
While the alien traveled through the air towards the roof, Pike moved both arms downwards, making a bolt of electricity actually materialize on the sky and fall over the alien, striking him. Throwing this attack at him cost him some precious time, and he was barely able to move out of the way of the killer’s blades.
That was too close. Pike clenched his teeth, staring at Snatchmon. He was fast.

"Mitsuharu has a point. While it isn't your fault, you still could have told us earlier. That, and your brother's the one doing worse via rushing headlong into this mess." Vemmon spoke, unseen as he was. Mao, meanwhile, nodded a bunch towards Tsukiko. "Yeah, it's like in horror movies. The killer wouldn't go for a place where he can be seen--especially by the Styx patrols..."
Their trip took them to a trolley. Mao took a seat next to Tsu, still holding Ramma. Vemmon's head manifested itself next to her. "Not just that. Your questions. I may be able to answer them." Meanwhile...
The Wormmon was spared for now, considering the Snatchmon had gone straight for Pike's head that was also his body. It didn't matter what the ball of hot air told him, he was going to shut him up. Lightning crashed against the Snatchmon as electricity coursed through him.
Boy, oh boy, was he starting to sizzle as he got onto the roof and found the Thunderballmon X to be out of reach of his blades. Barely without missing a beat, and despite the damage that Pike had inflicted (seriously, there were the beginnings of cracks allover him)? The Snatchmon lunged forward, one of his blades returning to the form of an arm before he reached out towards Pike.
Odd.
And then, the arm revealed it's true purpose! The fingers withdrew as the arm opened up to reveal a cannon, one that fired shards of...some weird data that for all intents and purposes works like glass. Or shrapnel. Basically, the Snatchmon just fired a shotgun-arm at Pike as he lunged for him.
The Thunderballmon X was fast, could he be fast enough to outmaneuver this?

The trolley car kept moving through the city. Again, the place seemed a lot livelier in the ‘morning’! The streets were not as desolated as last ‘night’ and the Hardware Den actually seemed like a decent place to do tourism. Or maybe the Ashikaga Clan just liked weird places. In any case, Ramma seemed convinced by Mao’s words. He let out a sigh before clearing his throat. Then, he started telling the group everything. About the Digital Breeder, about Zeiden, Hermes and the X-00 Digimon. The Mamemon would tell the story with as many details as the situation allowed. It would take him a while to finish, luckily, the road was long enough. THE DIGITAL BREEDER AND PIKE & RAMMA'S BACKSTORY
The battle over the roofs at the lower ends of the city continued. It didn’t seem like the Styx patrols rounded this area a lot, so Pike and the Snatchmon could fight freely. But… for how long until one of them couldn’t continue? Time was something the alien was not taking for granted. He sprang towards the Thunderballmon. The fact that he was closing in while shooting made the bullets reach his opponent a lot faster, which was definitely not a good thing. He tried to bolt out of the way, but some of the shards actually managed to hit him before he could get too far, sending him flying against a container placed around the roof, breaking it immediately. Ugh. That hurt. There was no time to moan, more bullets coming at him! This time, Pike managed to bolt upwards, dodging them in the process. He clenched his teeth and showed a pained expression. Those things had definitely had an effect on him. Time to do offensive again. The Thunderballmon jutted against the Vemmon, charging up an electrical fist and trying to hit him with full might. Combat Log: Shock: Pike propels himself against the opponent and strikes them with a thunderous fist, causing heavy damage and healing Pike by a 10% of the damage he inflicted. Cooldown: 2 posts.

To say that story was a little heartwrenching was an understatement. Mao had plenty of questions after Ramma had finished telling it--and it was nice that the road was long. That meant that he could tell the entire thing. But the first question Mao had?
Why was she crying? "I...Okay, I might be a little emotional right now, but I swear on my life I'll help you stop this...Hermes. And this Digital Breeder project." Mao stated, wiping her eyes from these mysterious tears that appeared to have graced her face. It didn't make sense to her. Why would someone just kill another's family for their own agenda? Meanwhile....
The Snatchmon was not used to such power, both being wielded by himself as well as Pike. As such? It was a good thing they had such an...open arena. Nonetheless, it was a fight to survive. It always had been for Rex. The bullets themselves had nothing special to them. They were just absurdly sharp. The crimson terror glared up at Pike as he leapt into the air, and jutted towards him, trying to bring an arm forward to absorb the Shock, but..
He was a little late on the draw there. Fist met Snatchmon. Fist delivered sparks. The cracks began to grow in number. But...He felt like he had an opportunity.
One he needed to take advantage of. The Snatchmon had used the arm he fired the shots with to try and fail to block Shock. So, he naturally had his bladed arm to try taking a swing with! And swing he did! What would Pike do?

The group just sat through the whole tour, listening to Ramma’s tale.
To literally make a long story short, Ramma and Pike had been found as eggs by a digimon named Zaiden who became their father. Hermes, Zaiden’s brother had murdered him to steal an artifact known as the ‘Digital Breeder’ from him that their own father had left for them. It was a powerful device capable of creating the perfect digimon by using the data of a very small group of digimon known as the X-00 digimon. Zaiden was dead and he had left his laboratory at a city known as Terminus located in the Digital Core of this world for Pike and Ramma to use it in their quest to stop Hermes.
Of course, this narrated the story of a family that had been broken apart because of Hermes' desire for power, which was… sad. Very sad.
“I’m sorry to hear that, Ramma.” Tsukiko lowered her gaze. “So… what you need to do right now is going back at Terminus to track these X-00 digimon and start looking for them, before Hermes gets to them?”
Ramma nodded. “We were at the middle of our investigation when that message from Lego arrived and we ended up in Arcaria. It was a pretty abrupt interruption to our plans. But… if you will help us, then…” A faint smile graced the Mamemon’s face. “… I’m glad it happened.” He then blinked twice. Something cold was falling on him.
Mao’s tears.
“N-No, no! Don’t cry. It’s going to be okay.” Ramma rushed to try to calm the orange-haired human. Tsukiko scooted towards Mao and place an arm around her shoulder.
“It should be us telling you that, dear.” Kissu seemed a bit touched by the story too. Mitsuharu just looked to the landscape while the train moved.
“This is more reason to find Pike fast, and get out of here.” The BushiAgumon muttered.
But there still seemed to be some distance between them and the lowest parts of the Hardware Den. The trolley car moved fast, but this place just seemed endless!
A smile made its way to Pike’s expression. It was one of boasting, at that. He had managed a straight hit! And it was a good one. However, her best asset during this battle had been greatly reduced by himself: distance . Snatchmon swung his blade against the Thunderballmon, managing to slice right through him. It was a clear cut!
From such an impact, Pike was propelled backward, rolling through the floor and finally stopping right before reaching the edge of the roof. It was a good thing his previous technique had a healing effect on him. The amount of life he had managed to ‘absorb’ from the enemy allowed him to stand up again. As he did, he almost lost balance. That last wound he sustained had been somewhat deep.
This wasn’t working. He needed an opening. Maybe just gain some time. Could he… generate a distraction?
“So... you still haven’t found that totem, huh?” Pike hissed while he dusted himself up. “Maybe you’re lacking information, don’t you think? You’re not going to just find that thing just laying around." He had decided to make some conversation for the alien. Given that it was related to the totem, chances were that he was going to take the bait. But... that remained to be seen. "After all... There’s still one place that you have overlooked around this city.”

Mao abhorred the thought of one's ambitions breaking a family apart. Killing them, at that. One thing was certain, though. They did need to help them find the X-00s. Several heads were better than two Mamemon in this matter, after all. But, first things first? Mao had to STOP GODDAMN CRYING, CHRIST.
"I'm fine, I'm fine..." Mao managed at all the attempts to comfort her. Indeed, she did calm eventually, but she still had a bad case of the sniffles. "W-We'll find him...Ramma, does he have any favored mode of travel?" She asked of the Mamemon, while keeping an eye out for anything strange from the trolley. Slice. That was one. It'd take many more to down his foe, who had a fucking UGLY smirk on his face. The Snatchmon loathed opponents like that. He wanted to wipe it off like he beat the snark out of the Sistermon. The alien began to proceeded to slowly walk towards Pike, holding his bladed arm at the side. The totem dangled from his neck. It's almost like someone could just steal it if he was caught off guard...
"And where would that be? I feel...Generous today." Pike made a good call. He certainly was distracted now--and he also delayed his demise by some seconds or minutes. It all depended on him. What would he do? "Talk." He said as he finally reached Pike, raising his blade in a manner one could perceive as...threatening.

Luckily, the story had been long enough to keep the group 'entertained' during their crossing. The trolley car was making its final stops! The whole environment had changed. The layout of the buildings seemed duller and the whole place looked abandoned. The streets were lonelier and dirtier.
“Mode of travel…?” Ramma lowered his head as he pondered about Mao’s words. “Well… he likes to bolt from one place to another, since he is very fast.”
Before any response could be given to that, a sound startled the group. More like a roar, an explosion. It wasn’t too far away. They’d be there in a heartbeat.
Could it be…!? Time to move.
Just a bit more… Pike just needed to distract this killer for a bit more until he could throw his next attack at him. However, the monster was already pointing his blade at him. He wasn’t willing to negotiate for long.
There was no way around it, he’d have to tell him what he knew to gain some more time.
“T-The Digital Underworld…” A pause ensued. Pike’s eyes scanned its surroundings. “I didn’t come specifically to these parts of town without a reason. Not long ago, I read something in one of my father’s books. He was a researcher, so he had info about a lot of interesting stuff in his lab.” While he spoke, sparks started to come out of a fist he kept behind his back. Just a little more.
“The book was about the Digital Underworld, a place hidden beneath the hottest desert of this world. It was discovered ages ago. Its core was filled with all kinds of materials and valuable treasures, so the digimon who found it started building an underground city around that core. That city is what’s now known as the Hardware Den.” Electricity kept circling around Pike’s fist, and was slowly starting to go through the digimon's body. “You were never going to find out about this, because the Hardware Den is known by its technological advancements, not their historical knowledge. Digimon here are always thinking about moving forward, never back, so they don’t care about history. Ironically, the one who could tell you about the thing you were looking for, was someone who didn't belong here.” It had been a blessing for the alien that people like him and Ramma, who actually knew about Digital World history thanks to their father, had come here. Or maybe… a curse, for him.
“According to what I heard, that totem you’re looking for is located at what used to be the Digital Underworld. I noticed these parts of the city are abandoned, because the new parts of town are more technological. It means these parts are older, hence, they were built first.” In case it wasn’t obvious by now, he would finish his statement. “What was known as The Digital Underworld is right below these old foundations! You just need to go further below!”
Electricity had started circling all around Pike’s body. “… it’s a shame you won’t be able to do anything with this information.” He added. Suddenly, Pike’s whole body turned into a ball of electrical energy that just went through the alien at high speed, attempting to damage him. Nevertheless, that probably wouldn't be enough. Another blow was needed.
The Thunderballmon, completely covered by electricity, turned back, floating above Red Vemmon. “Crusher… B…!” Before he could finish his words, an explosion occurred. A huge one, at that.
It was coming from Pike himself. It was almost like an electrical transformer had just imploded. Due to the distance Pike had taken from the alien after his first strike in this form, it was likely the blast wouldn't get to actually hurt his enemy. However, it would probably send him propelled backwards.
He had faced overcharge. This has happened before. This was, however, the worst moment for it to happen. The Thunderballmon just fell to the ground, his body was slightly roasted and showing some scars. That had to hurt. He smashed a fist against the ground.
“… D-Damn it…! Not right now…!” It didn’t matter how much he tried, he couldn’t get electricity to flow through his body again at the moment.
Now that he had the information he needed, the Thunderballmon was useless for him. This was the perfect moment for the Red Vemmon to strike his final blow. Unless…
Would they arrive on time?

"Bolt from one place to another..." Add this onto the fact that Ramma came back into their room from the roof...Perhaps he was bolting from rooftop to rooftop? They didn't have a direction to follow him towards, until... A boom had been heard. One that was painfully close to them. "...That has to be him." Mao instinctively took out her D-Tector, and spirit evolved into Vemmon with that violet flash of light that had essentially become her calling card.
The alien, not paying heed to Tsu, Kissu, Mitsuharu or Ramma, leapt away from them and out of the trolley towards where she had heard the boom! They were going to need to be quick to catch up to the alien! "Underworld..." The alien repeated, though it was less speech and more a hiss. He hadn't been expecting the Thunderballmon to show this much...depth. But, all this information was rather new to him. It may be the edge he required. He was completely unaware of Pike's charging, and thusly?
Completely unaware of the attack he was going to throw out. If he was able to complete it. "Oh, reall--" His first strike had landed, the litany of cracks lining the body of the Snatchmon increasing and worsening, before the follow-up...failed.
Pike had, from what the Snatchmon could see, blown himself out. The alien was blown back by the overcharge, and was left on his back. Of course, it picked itself back up and began to saunter towards Pike. His arm reformed into a blade as he got closer. "Ah...ahaha...Au contrere. I think I'll be able to do plenty with that information. Especially after I load you to keep it in mind."
The Red Snatchmon raised his arm, as though he were about to impale the Thunderballmon X, when...
The sound of someone phasing into reality was heard, and a purple shape leapt at the Snatchmon, promptly latching on and trying to ram a limb into the sanguine fiend. It seems she succeeded, because with a -shriek-, the alien grabbed Vemmon and THREW her away.
Of course, this was a rookie against a (empowered) champion in bad shape. It hurt, sure. But it wasn't as bad as it could've been. "So, do I need to put on my mommy boots and spank a bitch?" Vemmon spoke. The red alien only snarled in response. "You need to roll over in a grave." The Snatchmon was distracted, now.
Would the rest of the clan arrive in time?

As soon as the explosion was heard, Mao had jutted out of the trolley car, not before turning into... Vemmon itself! Considering back in Arcaria they were two separate beings, Tsukiko found this transformation amazing. It was actually the first time she saw it!
“So cool!” She squealed, clapping repeatedly while staring at the alien. It wasn’t for long, she was already out and moving through the streets. Tsukiko just crossed her arm and watched as the alien moved. Her eyes glimmered.
“M-Maoru…” Ramma muttered.
Was this the sole desire of Vemmon for stopping his own spawn? No. The girl seemed to have gained braveness from hearing the Mamemon’s story. Not only she was capable of feeling such level of sympathy but she was also capable of turning that into burning courage.
“Mitsuharu…” “Sensei?” The BushiAgumon was prepared to jump into action too. “I really, really like this girl.”
Half of a smirk appeared on the samurai’s face. “Should we…?”
Raising an arm and pointing forward, Tsukiko shouted those words both Mitsuharu and Kissu were waiting for.
“Ashikagas, Stand Up!”
Pike hadn’t given up, even if he was completely worn out and he couldn’t get electricity to flow through his body anymore, he still tried to stand up. He still tried to keep going. However, Snatchmon was in much better shape, and that blade threatened to end the Thunderballmon’s life. Until…
It took a moment for Pike to actually realize who this was. When he was able to properly see the alien after she was thrown away, he clenched his teeth angrily.
“Hey!” He yelled, addressing Vemmon. “I didn’t ask for your help! What are you even doing here!?”
An elder figure jumped into action, standing between Vemmon and Red Snatchmon.
“Just in time.” Kissu knocked her broom on the floor. A green aura expanded out of her body, reaching both Pike and Vemmon. After this, they would feel refreshed and their wounds would start healing. “You should be grateful. Maoru just saved your life.” She added, turning her head towards the weakened digimon.
These words only seemed to anger Pike even further.
From Snatchmon’s back, he would hear a deep, low voice.
“This is it.” A Musyamon had also arrived, he was glaring at the monster on a fighting stance. After all, Mitsuharu would never attack a distracted enemy if the situation didn’t call for it. Not far from the samurai, Ramma had landed on the roof too.
“Pike!” The Mamemon ran towards his brother, helping him reincorporate. “Are you okay?”
“I’m fine!” He moved his arm aggressively making Ramma let go of it. He could understand Ramma had chased him, he would have done the same! But… why them? “Why did you bring these people here? This is our battle! I don’t want them to get involved!" “Pike…” “We have to fight this guy ourselves and get out of here as soon as possible! We have things to do and we can’t be losing time here!” Maybe some of these words were fueled by him losing his dad. Maybe some of them had to do with how he had lost this battle and he would be dead if Mao hadn’t arrived. “I don’t need any of you!” In any case; they denoted one thing: frustration. “We can’t rely on anyone e-“
Pike’s words were interrupted by a ‘clank’. Like if a pipe had hit a metallic surface. In this case, the metallic surface was Pike’s body and the pipe was… well, Tsukiko holding a pipe.
“Would you shut up!?” The girl yelled, after hitting the Thunderballmon on his upper side, coming through his back. He was so busy yelling that he hadn't even noticed this ambush. “S-Sensei…!” Mitsuharu and pretty much everyone else watched the pink haired girl slam that pipe against Pike. They were completely stunned.
“H-Hey!” The Thunderballmon turned towards the human, rubbing the back of his ‘head’. “What are you doing!? That hurt!”
Tsukiko’s gaze was firm as a boulder. In her right hand, the pipe she used to hit Pike. In her left hand, another pipe, very similar to the one she had slammed against the digimon. She took some steps back and threw one of the pipes at Pike for him to grab it.
“This was the closest thing to a sword I could find.” Her tone of voice was dead-serious. “So…” Then, she took a fighting stance, holding her own piece of pipe with both hands. “… Fight me.”
“W-What did she say?” Ramma just stared at the development, his eyes wide open. Tsukiko was about to... fight a digimon?
Whatever was going on, everyone was pretty distracted by it, so… maybe Red Snatchmon had an opening to flee? Or would he stay and fight?
