A frown appeared upon Alan's face with the passing-by of the two cloaked figures. Levi crossed his arms and tapped one foot. "I guess they get a pass, huh?" he scowled, though too quiet for anyone but Alan and Draco-Robot: Bar & Restaurant to hear. Then, they simply watched the reactions of the others as the other digimon cleared from the area. Alan, who was listening to listening to everything, but not bothering to make much of a show of it, didn't waste more than a second of time before exchanging his frown for a smirk and stating, "Sweet. No line," and heading into the restaurant with his partner. He had it in good faith that Draco-Robot, knowing more about the area and intended recipients of the package, would either follow them or take the alternate route as he saw fit.
"Excuse me," spoke the human, politely standing a decent distance away from the cloaked figures, but perhaps impolitely standing just far enough away that he had to slightly raise his voice to be clearly heard and understood. "We have a package we are to deliver to this address, though it is marked by neither recipient name nor return address. Circumstances tell me, however, that you are not the recipient. Tell me: are the original owners still in the building, and if not, did they leave any instructions with you regarding an awaited delivery? We apologize for the intrusion; we'll be out of your hair shortly."
One of the proverbs Alan lived by, which he came up with himself, was as thus:
"Try the door, even if the one who was waiting outside when you got there tells you it's locked."

One thing was for sure: Draco-Robot was not going anywhere alone! He was too scared for that. Nevertheless, he did not consider Alan's idea to be a good one at that! "W-W-Wait! Are we really going in there?" The Bacomon sounded a bit frightened. He tried to convince Alan while waving his arms and walking behind him and Levi. He wanted to think the human and the Veemon were strong, but... was this really the best possible move? He wasn't a fan of trouble, and these two cloaked figures seemed like trouble. Well, not much to do now. They were inside the restaurant now, and just like these figures had ordered, the doors had been closed behind them. Draco-Robot Bar & Restaurant (the establishment) seemed like a nice place, actually! Even if the painting was a bit rudimentary and the illumination was not perfect, the layout looked clean and well taken care of. It had a peaceful vibe. Behind the counter, a startled robotic digimon could be found. Was he the one attending this place? The two visitors didn't seem to have actually noticed two digimons and a human had gone in before the doors closed, though! Not until Alan spoke. "H-Hey!" Their package seemed to be a bit flustered by the whole situation. "Are you really planning to reason with these guys?" Once the taller of the figures had turned to face Alan, the Bacomon gasped and hid behind the human. "Eh?" Was the first impression of the taller member of the duo. They seemed a bit impressed to see Alan in here. Even if the smaller one seemed a bit distracted by some delicious scent coming from behind the counter. The kitchen, maybe? "Who the hell are you?" The taller figure asked, still with that feminine voice, not sounding too angry but with an aggressive ring to it. They actually seemed... a bit confused at the blonde's request. "Don't you get what's happening here? We're raiding this place! We, the Deeplane City Council, now own this restaurant and we're taking everything they have!" It definitely didn't seem like these two had nothing to do with the recipient. "The Deeplane City Council..." The Bacomon behind Alan muttered. "I like that name, you can c-""T-That package is for me, Shinshi." The robot behind the counter declared, addressing Alan. His voice was... well, robotic. It sounded like an adult male. "My name is Bastian. I'm sorry for your trouble. I didn't expect this to happen." He sounded regretful, actually. His words seemed honest. "Forget it, I like that name better, you can call me Bastian." The package declared, still whispering, so only Levi and Alan could hear him. "Huh?" The taller figure turned towards Bastian, and back at the newcomers. This time, it wouldn't be hard to notice that, when they turned, their body structure seemed to wiggle a bit. "So these three must bring the weapons you're trafficking, don't they, Bastian?" The cloaked figure asked, sounding derisive. " This is just perfect! We are actually raiding your restaurant because we heard you're trafficking weapons." They confessed. Slowly, the taller figure started walking towards Alan, Levi and the Bacomon. The smaller cloaked figure seemed to be still a bit distracted by the scent coming from the kitchen. "You better give us that package now." The figure lurked maliciously, moving towards Alan. Their package hid even more behind Alan's ankle. He was actually shaking.

It did pain Alan to ignore the poor package's protests, but he had already decided that the situation needed to be handled with an air of utmost confidence.
"I am Alan Pantell, and this is Levi. Today, we are part-time deliverymen for the Tayichi'Tai." He smirked, wondering if he wasn't supposed to give that bit of information away, though he wondered only with curiosity, not with worry. If they wanted it kept secret, that desire should have been expressed in someone's job description.
"I see, I see," he continued. "I can't help but wonder if this change in ownership was a legal transaction, but as a foreigner threefold, I know better than to get on anyone's case. Haha!" The human cracked a small hole in his mask of showmanship to provide Bastian with a kind, patient smile. He would be receiving his package today; Alan was sure of it. "No worries, Bastian."
As the council representative approached him, Alan began to realize that his face of confidence was bleeding through into his true thoughts and feelings. It was... exhilarating. Could it be that he was truly excited at the prospect of battle? He had always been so dreadfully nervous before his various training sessions with a few different teachers, but despite that, in the moment...
It would appear his snappy response generation was in full working order.
"It seems you arrived a moment too early. Even if you're taking everything he owns, we haven't made the delivery yet. And I just can't hand it over to him in good conscious knowing that it would easily fall into the hands of bandits soon after." Internally, the boy was giggling as a schoolgirl. Ooh, did he hope that one cut deep. "Bastian, good sir, if you don't mind me asking: what kinds of weapons are we carrying? Reusables like blades that can be sharpened up whenever? Consumables like explosives that the clients will miss? WMD's?" With a flick of his wrist and a pull from his other hand, Alan removed the cloth he uses to keep the protruding, bladed horn of the large, flame-colored wristband known as the Digimental of Integrity safely covered up, and in the hand of the other arm, the blue-and-gold D3 digivice grew out the bright length of its hardlight baton function. Of course, neither weapon would do much good in the hands of a human against most of the digital world's foes, and Alan knew this very well, leaping back, lifting his ankle so as to safely carry the terrified package with him as he moved backwards. "Digi-armor energize!" He shouted, summoning forth the Flamedramon form of the Veemon who, until this point, had been standing arms crossed on the side, ready to jump in at any point. He quickly slid himself between the taller figure and Alan. "We don't do much work, but what work we do we take seriously," he said, silently vowing to minimize collateral damage.

If they paid enough attention, Alan and Levi could actually notice the cloaked figure took a step or two back after hearing the name of Tayichi’Tai. Then, who was apparently a female, given their voice, took a step forward. “The Deeplane City Council was inside Tayichi'Tai's fortress some days ago.” The Bacomon was muttering some words. “They actually defeated a Mega-Level digimon by fighting together.” He added, still sounding frightened. Bastian’s eyes widened at Alan’s statement. He seemed actually surprised to see such a brave human. Was he aware of what he was doing? He was defying a member of a growing faction inside the Dark Area. Hopefully, he wouldn’t do anything that would enrage them more, right? … Aaaand he just called them bandits. “W-What did you say?” The taller figure asked, getting a lot closer to Alan. The human seemed to ignore them to ask something to the robot attending the restaurant. “Oh. I wouldn’t say I’m buying or trafficking weapons per se, Shinshi. What you have there are actually parts of guns, lasers, and bombs. I am just buying the parts from Tayichi’Tai to build new, stronger weapons myself.” The Ballistamon explained after clearing his… throat? “H-Hey! Are you listening to me!?” A hand started extending towards the human, still covered by the cloak. The limb was drawn back when the boy made his move. “T-Tamer?” Was everything the figure was able to utter before the human leaped back and his evolved partner jumped in front of him. The light produced by Levi's evolution shone over them, making them wiggle once again. Even if it originally looked like a human figure, at times it was almost as if their body structure was not homogeneous. A barking was heard. It was coming from the smaller of the two figures. The creature seemed to be staring at Bastian. Bastian knew that, after everything he had made these three go through, he couldn’t just turn his back at them. He had to fight. The Ballistamon jumped off the counter, raising his fist to clobber the taller figure but… he was pulled back by something wrapping around his body. A cord was holding him tight and had aggressively pulled him back behind the counter. “You wouldn’t think we would come in here unprepared, would you?” A child-like, male voice spoke, walking in through the back of the establishment. It wouldn’t take more than a quick glance for the group to notice it was the same digimon they saw going through the back door outside. This one wasn’t hiding behind any cloak. It was a black, demon-like digimon showing a treacherous smile. “Good job, Dracumon. He almost took us by surprise." The taller of the figures thanked the digimon. Then, they turned back to face Alan and Levi. "Now, onto other things…” The shorter of the two jumped into action, standing in front of the Flamedramon, barking “… it’s time for you to pay.”“… By any chance… are you two strong enough to take out three enemies at a time?” The Bacomon’s eyes moved towards the door behind them. Completely shut. It seemed like there was no escape. Time for Levi to show what he was made of.

"They're weapon parts?" said Alan, turning over in his mind why the Deeplane City Council wanted those parts so badly. They must have been pretty hard to acquire. He chose not too worry too much about the implications of the comment about teaming up to defeat a Mega-level digimon. There was no way of knowing how many of them it took, anyway. The question still stood: could Alan and Levi fight three enemies at once? Maybe, maybe not, either way, some help would help. The human swiftly pulled out a small deck of cards, and, believing in the heart of the cards with all of his own, took one of the cards and swiped it through his digivice. Believing was a much stronger tactic in the digital world, always producing exactly the card he wanted when he wanted it. Levi was able to feel which power was being given to him in that moment, and grinned.
"Phoenix Rising!"
The Flamedramon huffed once, breathing an explosion of thick smoke that filled the room, obscuring most vision. The two used the opportunity to run in two different directions, Alan running to the direction he knew was the counter with the Bacomon in one arm, and Levi taking off to the opposite side of the room, putting a bit of extra weight into his footsteps to make them louder. Alan would jump behind the counter and feel for the cord that was holding Bastian in place, then attempt with as much force as he could to use the sharp, curved blade of his digimental to sever it, and potentially free an ally.
Alan uses the silver digimon card "Birdramon" on Levi, selecting its "Phoenix Rising" ability.

Even when the cloaked figures seemed to expect Alan to give away the package easily, it was clear the blonde human had other plans in mind. Yes, things were about to get shaken up. “C-Cards…?” The taller of the duo seemed a bit confused on what the human was planning. They weren’t actually able to react before it was too late. The whole room was covered in smoke and they couldn’t see a thing.
“Damn it!” The female voice coughed between their words. “Go get him!” They lifted a hand to point forward, giving the order to the smaller of the two to give chase. Barking, the cloaked creature started moving. As they moved, it sounded like they were… sniffing. Before Levi could actually get to his destination, a brutal bite was delivered to his arm, fangs sinking into his skin. The creature growled as they held with their mouth into the Flamedramon’s arm. They might not be able to see it, but it didn’t seem like they needed to.
Regarding Alan, his way towards the counter was a lot easier. Both Dracumon and the taller of the cloaked figures were unable to stop him, completely blinded by the smoke curtain. In a matter of seconds, he had leaped over the counter and was next to the Ballistamon.
“Shinshi…!” Said Bastian. It was actually a shock to see a human this brave, doing such a reckless movement. Bastian the Bacomon was still in the human’s grasp, just completely fretted at the whole development. “W-Wait…! Are you nuts? You’re going to get us killed!” The package couldn’t be blamed about being nervous, but neither Alan could be blamed about being bold. He was sticking to his word, after all.
Unfortunately, the cord seemed unable to be cut. It didn’t matter how much Alan tried to cut the thing, it was just too resistant. By the end of the chord, he could hear the Dracumon coughing too.
Bastian hesitated for a moment. If this human wanted to help him, maybe he should help himself too.
“Listen, Shinshi.” He addressed Alan. “I’ve fought Dracumons before. Their cords are very hard to cut but they have to use their energy to keep them deployed. If you manage to hit him hard enough, it is likely the cord will loosen up.” That was the robot’s recommendation.
Dracumon was still by the end of the rope, blinded and coughing his lungs out. Bastian was tied and unable to move, but the cord was long enough and not too heavy. Could Alan come up with a maneuver that would hurt the digimon enough for him to loosen up the grip?

"YO-W-W-W-W-W-W-W!"
Levi howled in pain when the cloaked creature's fang's sank into his arm. The shock from the bite quickly changed into anger, and the Flamedramon set fire to the gauntlet on the hand of his free arm, jamming its searing-hot metal claws into the jaws of whatever bit him to try to pry them off with all his strength. "The sphygmomanometer ain't supposed to draw blood, dumbass!" He jeered, still finding a sense of humor amidst the sudden chaos of the opening moments of battle.
Alan nodded in understanding at Bastian's instructions, leaving the Bacomon where he was hidden behind the counter, and behind the Ballistamon. The human readied his hardlight baton in one hand and kept low to the ground, feeling his way along the Dracmon's cord under the cover of the smoke which continued to permeate the room. He would only lightly feel along, as he did not want to make the cord's originator feel any sudden jerks or movements, though he probably have just assumed it was Bastian struggling fruitlessly anyway. Once he was able to ascertain that he was close enough to the coughing digimon, Alan stood up, held the baton with two hands, took aim for the faint image of the Dracmon's head, and swung, mustering every ounce of baseball star he had in him! It was a blow that would be sure to loosen the cord if it landed, and thanks to the battle environment Levi and he had created, he liked his chances of hitting.
Levi sets the claws of his gauntlets aflame, and uses one flaming hand attempt to pry Cloaked Figure #1 jaws from his arm.

Right when the Flamedramon’s gauntlet hit the cloaked figure biting him, he could hear a squeal of pain. In a matter of seconds, Levi would be able to hear an impact on the floor and something rolling through it. The feeling of those fangs on his arm would disappear, although the pain would probably stick for a while longer. The vanishing of this feeling of discomfort wouldn’t last for long, though. Two small, four-legged figures were approaching him. Due to the smoke, it was likely the flame warrior wouldn’t be able to quite decry how they looked but the fact that they were charging at him was rather obvious. One of them had its mouth open, ready to bite one of his legs, while the other one seemed to be launching a mighty headbutt, tackling him around his belly area. Would Levi be able to dodge at least one of the upcoming attacks?
Every step he took towards the Dracumon by following the chord would probably tell Alan his plan was working. The demon kept coughing by the end of the pathway and the blonde seemed more than ready to clobber him off the counter and out of his own chord.
“Crap! Where’s the boy!?” The rookie digimon asked. His voice would only help Alan further in reaching him through the cloud of smoke. A bright light would appear around him, allowing him to actually see through the smoke. Sadly, this light also meant a very bitter hit right to the face!
The Dracumon was propelled like a baseball, straight into one of the walls of the establishment. Bastian was pulled a couple of meters forward as if he was being pulled from the chord. However, as soon as the demon smacked his head against the wall, the chord loosened up and the robot was freed.
“Shinshi! Where are you?” He whispered. Right now the robot was blinded by the smoke Flamedramon himself had produced and seemed unable to come up with any counterattack. He didn’t seem to be of much help, at least at the moment.
What was worse… “I got you!” The taller of the cloaked figures had found Alan, probably aided by the light coming out of the baton. Even if he couldn’t quite see what was going on, the human would feel a vine wrapping around him and lifting him up in the air. It was slowly starting to tighten its grip!
Battle Log: Dracumon: Don't you dare moving!'s effect is over. Dracumon is dizzy after Alan's hit.

Almost instinctively, Levi had moved to grasp his arm where the bite had been. Unfortunately, his gauntlets weren't exactly made for grabbing living matter he didn't intend to hurt, so he moved his back. It was a good thing he didn't have time to lick his wounds; two more figures were approaching him. They were too fast and sudden to dodge, but he knew he had a trick up his sleeve capable of repelling them, and another trick up his sleeve capable of repelling them, and hurting the hell out of them while he did it. He decided the latter was the better option, so swiftly leapt a very small distance into the air, set himself alight, and spun in a ball, blades and fire streaking in a beauteous light show. Charging at such a flaming buzz saw of a dragon man wouldn't be a good idea, but it was probably too late for the attackers to change their minds about this now.
Meanwhile, Alan was metaphorically patting himself on the back for his clean hit. Being considerably directly useful in a digimon battle was quite the incredible rush, he thought as he was startled by a sudden flash of light and a loud CRACK. That was the sound of his Light Screen breaking, and since it hadn't been hit before that, the fact that it broke meant whatever had tried to attack him just then was a Champion-level digimon.
In the nick of time, perhaps, the smoke from Phoenix Rising cleared from the room, allowing those in it to survey the current situation as fast as possible to decide on their next moves. Alan, naturally, elected to try to get away from his attacker. He was now vulnerable to attacks for the next few minutes, so he would head over to Levi's position, hoping to take solace in the protection of his sworn protector and friend, even if it would case the enemies to start crowding a bit. "You're in good hands," said Levi, seeming to understand what had happened. "You're hurt," was Alan's response, noticing the wound on his arm, and swiping another card to help heal some of the injuries. As the package was still behind the counter, the pair hoped Bastian would be able to hold his own well enough if any of the enemies started to target that area. However, they took care not to let these worries show on their faces. If worse came to worst, they still had another form up their sleeves, provided the ceiling was high enough...
Levi attempts to repel his attackers from where he is standing with a Solarsault.

“Are you ready to go? How long can it actually take you to get dressed? Come on! We need to go looking for him.”“I’m coming, I’m coming!”
Things had definitely turned interesting inside Robo-Draco Bar & Restaurant, the insides of the establishment had shaken up, bodies and techniques were flying everywhere. With so many digimon fighting at once, it was hard to keep track of some, if you didn’t pay enough attention. Levi catching on fire had definitely represented a real threat for those figures coming at him from the cloud of smoke. His leap had been enough for him to get out of the way of that bite coming to his leg, and the tackle had been repelled by his Solarsault. As long as it crashed against the fire warrior, the shadowy figure just disintegrated, vanishing into thin air. “A… wall!?” The female voice questioned the Light Screen appearing right in front of her vines, moving towards the blonde human. The screen broke and shattered, the tall, cloaked figure just standing still, shocked at the development. “How many tricks does this kid have?” That was actually a fair question. For being a simple human, Alan had more utilities than a Swiss knife. “So… this is the place, right?”“That line… it’s huge.”“Who are those?” “Let’s go through the back, then!” “There’s a digimon coming!” “Quick, up the ladder!” “Keep running!” The female voice shouted to no one, apparently. When the smoke cleared, the image that was left from the two that had attacked Levi, vanished. The smallest of the cloaked figures was nowhere to be seen, although everyone could see the whole restaurant clearly now. Now that things seemed to have calmed down a bit, a creaking sound could be heard. Where was that coming from? Bastian’s yellow eyes scanned the whole layout of his restaurant, looking for something. Something was… missing. “You have brought us one too many problems, kid!” The taller of the cloaked figures stated, another vine coming out of the coat to point at the duo. “Did they say… the Deeplane City Council!?”“That… can’t be.”
The cloak on the figure moved a bit to reveal a red plant-type digimon, a treacherous expression on her face. She didn’t seem smug anymore, she seemed angry. But... wasn't she too tall to be a Red Vegimon? “You have interrupted us in our raiding of this restaurant...” A set of vines started expanding from behind the figure, forming a wall that separated the duo and the figure itself from the back of the restaurant. “... you have mocked us and hurt us!” The creaking sound continued. It was as if something was breaking, slowly rustling. Although he was hard to see due to the vines blocking the ways to the back of the establishment, Bastian seemed desperate, looking for something around the back of the counter. He was out of danger, as no enemy seemed to be on that side. The taller of the cloaked figures was at Alan’s side and the Dracumon too. The smaller of the two figures was missing in action. “Okay, time to make an entrance. Crawl on top of me Jasso!”“N-No way…!”“Just do it already!”“... There. I did it.” “Okay, ready?” “Wait… do you hear that?” “Y-Yes… what’s that?” “It’s coming from below us...” “What could that be?”“… ! I… I think… this roof is not sturdy enough to hold our combined wei...!”
That sound just got louder and louder, while the plant digimon spoke. Her vines had now completely blocked the way to the back of the store. “I hate you!” She shouted, angrily. “You will know what my anger looks like now! This is the power of the Deeplane City Council!”That sound turned into a roar, making it obvious where it was coming from: the roof. The whole surface imploded, debris and pieces of wood falling inside the restaurant as a rain of solid objects. A squeal of a human girl accompanied all of this noise. “Huh?” The Red Vegiemon raised her gaze, only to see… a giant tush falling on her face. It was round, it was big, it was... pink. “THAT'S A LIE!” The falling digimon shouted, swatting the whole cloaked figure, two more Dracumon coming out of the lower parts of the coat, revealing it wasn’t a sole digimon, but a Red Vegimon on top of two Dracumon, explaining all the wiggling. A Cho-Hakkaimon was what had fallen from the roof with a human girl holding for dear life to her helmet, her eyes closed and her whole body flinching. The digimon seemed rather… angry. Once the dust and debris cleared from the air, she seemed like she had something to say. “You do NOT belong to the Deeplane City Council, you stupid plant!” The pig-girl shouted. “We do!”Katherine opened her eyes to see the blonde guy next to the Flamedramon, while her partner shouted some more words at the digimon below her. “… human?” She muttered “Shinshi! The package is gone”“Package?”“It took you long enough to tell. Your package is lost, Bastian!”“BASTIAN!?”

There's only one reason the enemy would shout "keep running!" in a sincere tone of voice.
Revelation after revelation, Alan wasn't interested. The human leaned left and right, trying to look past the RedVegiemon's vines. As a matter of fact, he made a concerted effort not to look at anyone. Even when two newcomers claiming to be the true Deeplane Council crashed in, he offered only a hurried "thanks!" and rushed over to the counter, glancing over. A quick scan revealed the truth of Bastian's words, prompting the agitated young man to slam his fists on the counter. "FUCK!" He shouted, expending the eff-times-one allowance of this PG-13 adventure.
Levi stared thoughtfully upon the scene of destruction. "Intriguing," whispered he. It would seem that this organization, the Deeplane Council, is a well-known, respected, and or feared faction. So much so, in fact, that local criminals will often impersonate members in order to increase their chances of successfully intimidating-
"Levi! They fucking stole it!" snapped Alan, moving the adventure into the territory of complete and utter blasphemy. "Go out the back entrance and look for someone trying to get away! They were trying to keep us from seeing them make off with it a few seconds ago, I just know it!"
"Y-yes, sir!" stumbled Levi, some strange instinct inciting him to address Alan that way even though he had never once done so before, and hurried out.
"Listen!" projected Alan to the whole room. "As much as I love meeting new people, I made a promise!" He couldn't remember if he had actually made a promise, but it felt as if he had. One way or another, he had decided that package would be delivered to its rightful recipient, no matter what. Forget that it was their ticket back to the mainland; Alan had forgotten about that entirely. And even if he remembered, he would soon also remember that he had his own portal device to use should the delivery fail. There was something that ticked him off about the idea of seeing these schmucks succeed in their raid, and knowing they were impostors made it worse. It was possible that they really were just bandits. He had just said that to annoy them earlier. This was a pride thing now.
"I'll... check the rest of the place, I guess..." he muttered darkly, walking into the back room and touching the doorframe as he passed. He wasn't sure what else he could do, and that realization made his actions suddenly far less energetic.

Once Jazz had literally plummeted over the three digimon that constituted the larger of the figures, the vines that the Red Vegimon had made appear between her back and the counter had disappeared, going back into the plant’s body.
Glaring at the owner of the restaurant with her eyes wide open, Katherine finished fixing her black jacket and dusting off her jeans. Out of pure joy, she slowly took her hands to her mouth. This was… actually Bastian, wasn’t it? They had found him. They had finally reached Bastian!
“I… I can’t believe we finally found you.”
The robot tilted his head, looking at the girl. What was up with all of these humans looking for him today? Right now, he was fairly confused.
“Jazz…” The teenager addressed her partner, who kept swinging the back of her Roketto Dingpa against the Vegimon, making sure she stayed down, well-stuck to the floor. “Jazz…” She repeated. The pig-girl seemed to be quite busy. “Jazz…!” Katherine shouted.
“What!?” The hog responded.
The fact that the green-eyed needed to understand the situation as a whole and what was the promise this boy had made was out of question. Besides, he was fighting the fakers and helping Bastian, so it was likely he was an ally. The best way to start things off with Bastian was to get his package back, right?
They couldn’t leave Bastian by himself inside the restaurant. They also couldn’t let these impostors escape. That meant one of them had to stay here. One that could fight if trouble arrived. She finally gave the order to her partner. “I need you to stay in here. Don’t let Bastian or these guys go anywhere, please.”
Jazz nodded, glaring at the unconscious vegetable and three Dracumons. “I’ll try getting some information out of them. I’ll let you know if they say anything useful.”
No time to lose. If whoever had stolen the package moved fast, it could be too far away by now. Katherine rushed behind the counter and opened the door, going to the back of the restaurant. It was a murky, humid chamber. Even if it looked like a kitchen to an extent, with around three fridges and an oven, a couple of computers and a workbench could be found too, as well as several bookshelves and sets of tools.
This wasn’t just any kitchen. Bastian was doing something in here. Katherine's green eyes scanned the layout, only to find that blonde human guy from before. She stared at him for a second or two longer than she should have.
“I-I’m sorry.” She bowed immediately. “I’m going out to look for the package.” Without leaving her usual formalities behind, Katherine was speaking quickly, almost blurting out words.
“Are you coming or…?”

Alan opened one of the refrigerators and hastily eyed its contents, heaving a sigh and closing the door once he realized what he was doing. "Right. Because a thief on the run would hide in a fridge ten feet away from their pursuers."
The Tamer was alerted to the presence of someone else in the room. It was the human who had crashed through the ceiling with the pig girl earlier. He didn't mind one bit that she was staring at him, because he was staring back. "No worries," he said. His voice was quiet; he had lost the energy of rage and determination he had moments earlier, even the situation was still as bad as it was then. "Yes, I'm coming." He decided, after another visual scan. "If there are any places more secret than what I've already seen of this restaurant, chances are the thief wouldn't have had time to find it. I'll see if I can't meet up with my partner." The boy would raise his Digimon-Human Communicator to his mouth before leaving with her. "Levi, how's it going out there? Find anyone yet?"

So, what kind of answer would Alan get from Levi, who had given chase to the coated creature who had stolen their package?
Well, that would depend on what he had found.
Some seconds ago, immediately after going out through the backdoor, the Flamedramon would spot a figure running through the roof of an old warehouse next to the restaurant. The creature kept jumping through the houses and establishments around Fragment Village. Should he decide to give chase, he would discover the creature was rather fast, and hard to keep up with! Although it was obvious it was the smaller of the two cloaked figures. He would also notice the town looked a lot bigger from up there. The beast moved quickly through the roofs, jumping from one to another. From there, it didn’t seem like it was holding anything in his snout, but it was honestly hard to tell from that distance.
While the chasing continued, it was probably a good time for Levi to tell his tamer what was going on.
Speaking of his tamer!
Katherine and Alan went out the backdoor. By the moment they did, Levi and the escaping thief were nowhere to be seen.
For a second or two, Katherine’s eyes went to the blonde haired boy again. He honestly seemed… a bit underwhelmed by the whole situation. For a moment or two, she hesitated, about actually throwing a question his way. Was it okay to ask a complete stranger what was troubling him? She finally took some breath and did.
“A-Are you okay?” She asked. “You seem… sad.”
Maybe it was the fact the package was stolen without him being able to do anything.
“I… don’t know what kind of relationship you have with Bastian but…” Words were practically coming out of her mouth by themselves now! “… I know he’s a digimon who’s been through a lot. So if you two get along, I’m sure you’ve done a good job so far. Cheer up, okay? We’re going to find that package.” She punctuated that sentence with the vestige of a smile.
Who would say, she was actually trying to cheer someone up. Of course, her natural shyness made her lower her gaze right after. Only to find…
“What is…?” The green-eyed teenager crouched after seeing something shinning on the ground. It was a sort of very simple, metallic stick. Katherine picked it up and showed it to Alan. “Is this… a lockpick?” Very interesting. Considering they were right at the backdoor of the restaurant, that brought an interesting question.
“Did you see someone breaking inside the restaurant before?”

Levi made great haste through the village, sometimes using fancy footwork to spin as he ran, while continuing in the same direction, keeping an eye out for any and all suspicious figure. His voice would come somewhat muffled by wind through the communicator. "Currently in pursuit of a suspicious figure fleeing through the rooftops. Looks beastly. No clear visual of the package. If memory serves, at least two beasts attacked me at the restaurant. Given this one's eye-catching choice of escape route, all signs point to this one being a decoy. Search the street levels, Alan. I'll keep going after this one. Over." Using the nearest building considerate enough to have a fire escape, the Flamedramon would use that to help ascend to roof level. Even a decoy would have information. Alan would perk up a bit at his partner's command. However, now he seemed to be more on-edge than he was downtrodden.
"Y-yes. I'm fine now. I just... hope we can catch up." He'd place one arm across himself, scratch his chin with the other, tap his foot, pace, lightly bite his lip, tilt his head in various directions, and give off just about every "I'm thinking" signal possible. Even so, he would try to explain his situation in a succinct manner. He wouldn't stand for any misunderstandings, even during a situation such as this. "This is my first time meeting Bastian. I was hired by... 'Tayichi'Tai', I think, to deliver to him a package. An easier task if the package wasn't alive. Would fit in an infinistore that way. But I digress." The boy took one look at the lockpick and didn't hesitate to answer her. "Yes. We did notice one of the fakers - a Dracmon - breaking in before the fight. I batted them into a wall when they tried to hold Bastian down. It was very satisfying. Digressing again. We still need a way to pursue the thief... thieves. I do have some hover boots that can help me get around a bit faster, but I'm not too good at using them. I can at least do some pseudo roller-skating with them. Like Shadow the Hedgehog, ya know...?" His voice trailed off at the last part, unsure whether he should bother joking. He would then think himself back through the conversation, and pick up any pieces. "Sorry for being so curt. Oh, and, uh... thanks." He looked away and scratched the back of his head a little, remembering that she was trying to cheer him up earlier.
