Tense Negotiations - Demon Lords 1B (Toki, Katsura, Adrian)

Toki was appalled at them using the unconscious body of another as a tool in their battle. "Disgusting. Cowardly." he spat out as he floated towards Phelesmon slowly "You seek to intimidate, but I've seen the likes of you before. You think you're so dark and frightening that it'll deter us from attacking." He winced at the storm of red lightning that shot out towards them, though in the light of the cathedral he spotted this odd phenomenon, though was too late to fully dodge the attack. Instead he thought on his feet as blue gems formed around his hands "Sapphire Strike." He extended one hand outwards in an attempt to block the bolt, shaking as its energy coursed up and down his arm. Through that he dashed forward and with his other hand attempted to chop at the back of Phelesmon's head to send him towards the center of the room again, and at RedMagnamon's mercy.
"If you can keep him busy, then I'll have another shelter to prepare for you. Just give me time to gather up my energy." he said to RedMagnamon. Despite the rampaging, Adrian and RedMagnamon were friends and he refused to let them suffer. He would do everything in his power to support them. Thankfully, his Mega spirit was perfect for offering support while keeping the pressure on the enemy. His arm twitched slightly from blocking the attack, but it was better than taking yet another injury to the chest.
A fourth orb started to shine behind Toki. Whatever the glowing orbs meant, it couldn't be good news for the two enemies. Something was coming, and chances are they wouldn't like it. "Those like you, who act like puppet masters and manipulate people for your own benefit...it's you who hold the world back from progress. From true happiness...from bettering itself...the Demon Lords have this spark within them. A spark that tells me they're more than just the sins they supposedly represent. But you...you hold them back. They could be so much more...so much better."
-------
Toki uses Sapphire Strike to redirect the Crimson Lightning to his arm instead of his chest and then rushes forward to strike Phelesmon back to the center of the room to keep the two enemies separated.
Toki's reached 4 out of 5 charged orbs for his passive 'Tranquility of the Moon Acolyte.'
Sapphire Strike: Blue gemstones wrap around ZenCherubimon's hands and either does a swift chopping strike or a palm strike to an enemy.

Katsura had to stop her thoughts for a moment to come up with a reply to Adrian. "That too... you see, Nyao has a small problem with anger... I always tell her not to antagonize others... unless they had done something to me... This keeps happening... Somehow." Suffice to say this was not a first time for Katsura. Though she was annoyed that she had to fight her way out yet again, she was too accustomed by now to freak out.
"Normally I'd make a volcano, but I can't do it up here. Right?"
During the battle it looked more like a massakre than a match, even when Phelesmon tried to hide he just ended up taking Nyao's poison and Katsura was surprised that Mephistomon was still alive after this beating. Something even Mephistomon himself noted in response to being called a coward. Nyao was distracted for a brief moment because she was addressed as Ise, Katsura's surname.
"Ugh, flatter won't get you anywhere."
A brief blush revealed that the compliment actually hit. But Mephistomon had another trick up his sleeve, dark strings attached to Bagramon and like a puppeteer Mephistomon moved his wooden fist to strike Nyao. Nyao was prepared to fight but not like this! Through reflex, Nyao moved her shield to block the fist but was still thrown backwards by the force leaving behind an imprint of her shield. Nyao had fallen down on her ass several feet away from Mephistomon, some bruises but relatively fine considering she was at her peak. Undeterred Nyao grabbed her sword and got up. Then she brushed off some blood from her nostrils.
"Why you-" Nyao was about to launch another strike this time at Bagramon but just now Katsura was speaking up loud and clear.
"NO!"
Katsura managed to make Nyao stop in the middle of her fighting stance.
"Wha?-" "NOT HIM!"
"Are you serious!? We're in a middle of a battle, we can't just-"
"Not him." Katsura repeated this time in a firm commanding tone.
Nyao hesitated, to her Bagramon was just a necessary causality but if there were one person she couldn't go against it was Katsura. And just like that Nyao realized she was facing a stalemate, while it was well within her power to go toe on toe with Bagramon and she had already done a number on Mephistomon, how is she supposed to win if she can't harm Bagramon? Nyao growled at Mephistomon in frustration.
"Grr this is low! You can't even fight your own battle now?"
While this was going on the light was starting to fade back to normal, it appears Katsura's card was coming to an end.

After performing the dodge, RedMagnamon… didn't feel anything. Not an attack, no pain… not even the slightest touch. He opened up his eyes to find Phelesmon tumbling in the air before he was blasted away by Toki's attack. He fell right by the Shroud of Darkness, which had vanished right as he was about to retreat to within it.
"Aw, little demon not able to go cry in his little safe zone anymore?" RedMagnamon teased. "Shame."
At that moment Mephistomon pulled a real dick move. Strings launched from the ends of his fingers and attached to the unconscious Bagramon, which Mephistomon was now controlling as if he was just some kind of puppet. He then launched Bagramon right at Nyao, who was thrown back a bit by the attack. Before Nyao could attack back however, Katsura exploded, yelling for what seemed like the first time ever. Her instruction was clear: do not hurt Bagramon.
RedMagnamon growled. "You pricks… YOU COWARDLY DISGUSTING PRICKS! HOW DARE YOU USE AN UNCONSCIOUS DIGIMON AS A MERE WEAPON?!!" He was do mad that while he noticed Phelesmon's attack being charged, he was not phased by it at all. Simply he looked right at the crimson lightning and fired an attack of his own. "Flame Cannon!" From RedMagnamon's chest, dozens of fiery bullets would come out, acting as a moving wall that would both hopefully block the lightning and hurt Phelesmon as well.
After both his and Toki's attacks were finished, Toki requested that RedMagnamon should keep Phelesmon busy while another shelter was prepared. "Distraction is my specialty," RedMagnamon whispered to Toki with a hidden smirk. His fist charged with fiery energy as he lunged right at Phelesmon, an attempt to collide his fiery fist with the demon's gut. "Magma Punch!"
As Katsura had predicted before, the light began to fade. Adrian looked over at Katsura before sighing and slashing a card. "Forgive me, Shout… Wild Growth activate!" With that card, the holy light would once again shine down on everyone...

Perhaps some demonic Digimon would puff themselves up and try to seem impressive for such a low, cowardly trick. Perhaps others would use it as a source of mockery, embracing their own mischief and daring others to try and stop it. Mephistomon simply regarded the fervent criticism of his opponents with the same, dead-eyed stare he regarded all other barbs during this battle with. "I do not think it will deter you. Your resolve is far greater than that," he said. "Bagramon opted to participate in this battle when he stood by your side. When one takes up the blade, they must be prepared to taste it as well. Such is simply the way things are.
Were you to twist my brother's will against me, I would also have no ground to complain."
Mephistomon raised his free hand, summoning a goat-like skull in the air front of him. It froze their in place, eye sockets locked directly onto Toki's current position. No matter where Toki moved in the room, he would have the distinct feeling of being watched.
With his other hand, Mephistomon continued making small, precise twists of his wrist. Bagramon's body ragdolled with each twist, swaying back and forth like a drunken master. After a few feinting twists to try and throw Nyao off of her game, Mephistomon then pulled Bagramon back to try and have him spear Nyao to the ground. The Super Mega's superior armor and weight may have made this an effective technique, but the comparative weightlessness that Mephistomon's technique caused meant it wouldn't be as definitive as a takedown as it could have been. Nevertheless, being smashed into by a rushing Bagramon still wouldn't feel great.
Unlike Mephistomon, who was keeping control of the situation, Phelesmon was having an awful time. While he was able to barely duck the Sapphire Strike in time, the Magma Punch directly to the gut sent Phelesmon flying back into one of the walls of the sanctum. Toki and RedMagnamon's two-pronged assault had successfully separated the two Digimon, and Mephistomon seemed to have very little interest in changing that fact. Phelesmon let out a dry wheeze as he peeled himself off of the wall, but as soon as he landed the light flooding the room intensified again. He fell to one knee, the discomfort that the light caused now intensifying to flat-out pain. "Brother! I need some help here!" he spat.
"Not taking further hits would be good for your health," Mephistomon said as he and his skull started smoking. He didn't even spare his brother a glance.
"Oh, you are such a charmer," Phelesmon grumbled, rolling his eyes. He thrust his hand upon the ground, two doppelgangers spreading out from his current location. They superimposed themselves on top of Phelesmon, then fanned out as he rushed directly at Toki and RedMephistomon. One Phelesmon was heading right for Toki, one was heading right for RedMagnamon, and a third was threading the needle in between the two. It seemed that only the one going for RedMagnamon had a shadow underneath them, but nevertheless all three raised their pitchforks to slash at their opponents.
Combat Log - Mephistomon summons a floating goat skull, which glares at Toki menacingly. He then catapults Bagramon into Nyao in order to try and knock her to the ground. The light damages him, but with few other attacks coming his way he seems rather unperturbed. Phelesmon, in contrast, takes a severe gutshot from RedMagnamon while trying to dodge Toki's strike. He then gets burned severely by the light. In a desperate ploy, he summons illusionary doppelgangers to cover him as he rushes RedMagnamon. Mirror Image - Phelesmon creates two duplicates of an allied Digimon, including himself. They constantly merge and separate from one another, making it far more difficult to hit the actual Digimon in question. Naturally, the more precisely-target a move, the more likely it is to be troubled: area of attack moves and wide swings cleave both the images and the target.

"You do not respect your kin?" Toki said to Mephistomon "You don't worry for their safety. Their life...I do not like having to do this..." Toki spotted the shadow and thus ignored the mirror images as one slashed at him. He tapped a finger against the ground "Topaz Temple." In a cluster around RedMagnamon and Phelesmon, large pillars rose up, hopefully providing enough shade for RedMagnamon as the energy sparked between the pillars. They not only fired beams of light towards Phelesmon that would do nothing to damage RedMagnamon, they formed a 'cage' between the pillars to prevent escape. A fifth orb shined behind Toki as he left RedMagnamon to battle Phelesmon.
Toki stood at the center of the room and settled in his usual lotus position "Using others against their will is the most vile thing you can do. This is precisely why those like you are in no position to judge who leads. To be a leader is to be strong, yes. Have the strength to make difficult decisions and even be cruel if necessary...but a leader also needs a gentler side to them that relates and understands that all other beings are equally alive and deserve the respect that comes with that. The fact you would torment an unconscious person...the fact you disregard the value of your kinship...these shows of 'strength' you display are the exact weakness that needs to be stopped. No matter how strong you perceive yourself, these actions you take only make you cowardly weaklings who do not know the importance of cooperation and love."
He floated above the center of the room, breathing deeply and focusing. He was preparing something as the orbs behind him only shined brighter and brighter. "Soon, this battle will be over."
--------
Toki attempts to trap Phelesmon with RedMagnamon within Topaz Temple, hoping that provides enough shade from the brightened room.
Guardian from the Stars [Passive]: ZenCherubimon's goal is the protection and safety of his allies above all else. As a result, his damaging area of effect abilities, Topaz Temple and Master's Decree, cannot damage allies.
Topaz Temple: With a gentle touch to the ground, pillars of Topaz begin to rise around an area of ZenCherubimon's choosing. They start to crackle with energy before beams of light connect the pillars together before shooting into the center in a spectacular display of light. Enemies caught in the area are damaged by any of the beams that they cross or otherwise come into contact with. (2 post cooldown)

Katsura was appalled by Mephistomon casually talking about killing Phelesmon if the roles were reversed, it was bad enough for her to have to fight an innocent who was on their side, but your own brother? This was so bad Katsura turned to Phelesmon.
"You heard that? Mr. Phelesmon, your own brother... doesn't care about you at all. How can you help him... knowing that he'd kill you? He's using you." At least the demon lords had the courtesy to sign a treaty forbidding them to kill each other. Somehow Mephistomon was even worse than the archdemons themselves.
For Nyao the initial surprise was up, she knew by now Mephistomon couldn't win a fair fight with her. But she also knew Katsura won't allow Bagramon to get hurt.
"Katsura, I know you. But I have to, if I don't innocents will die. I could die. So think up something or let me do my thing." Katsura sighed, morals or not Nyao couldn't afford just taking hit after hit. Something had to be done when Bagramon was approaching. Just as Bagramon was preparing to fench against Nyao, Katsura slashed a card.
"Digi-modify."
The effect was at first subtle, Nyao was just that quicker at fencing somehow able to be just the right time to block. The full effect of the card showed when Nyao was somehow able to evade the spear attack completely: Nyao had become way faster than before! To ram it home, Nyao tapped Bagramon on the back with her elbow trying to push him into the ground much to Katsura's annoyance. There was a bigger problem though; this was hardly sustainable, the effect was temporarily and any second spent on evading Bagramon was just stalling.
Katsura's words were quickly proven true when Mephistomon couldn't be bothered to rescue his brother from the light. Katsura looked right at Phelesmon after his argument with Mephistomon.
"You don't need him, please... I don't want to fight." Having just seen Mephistomon's lack of team spirit first-hand, Katsura wondered if Phelesmon would listen to reason. At least Katsura might have planted a seed of doubt between the brothers.
Katsura used Lightning Implant, Nyao is now fast enough to evade Bagramon.

RedMagnamon was surprised at how well the attack on Phelesmon turned out to be. He was clearly in a worse state than his brother Mephistomon, who had used Bagramon as a ploy to just have Nyao let him beat her senselessly on Katsura's demand, which was a pretty dumb move on Kat's part, RedMagnamon thought. Still, his Magma Punch was so successful that it sent Phelesmon flying right into the wall.
"Ha... hahaha... HAHAHAHA!" RedMagnamon laughed in cheer. He couldn't help but gloat at his accomplishment. "AAAUGH, THAT FELT SOOOOO GOOD!!!"
The Mega's cheering and semi-gloating was cut short when he looked back over at Phelesmon calling for his brother for help, only to be denied that help by a sarcastic remark from his brother. RedMagnamon looked over at Mephistomon and gave him an angry glare. "There's a time and a place for remarks like that, goatface."
After saying that, three clones of Phelesmon dashed right at the group, one at Toki, one at RedMagnamon, and one at right in between the two of them. Of course RedMagnamon spotted the shadow only on one of them: the one coming right after him. RedMagnamon smirked.
Hit me with your best shot, demon boy. Fire away.
Of course before anything could be done about it, a cluster of pillars suddenly shot up around RedMagnamon and Phelesmon. Aside from providing good shading from the light, something that RedMagnamon desperately needed at this point, but it also shot multiple beams of light right at Phelesmon that did nothing to harm RedMagnamon. The latter simply watched as the beams collided with the demon, not being able to do anything else.
Soon after that, Adrian noticed Toki float above the center of the room. Five orbs that were floating behind him began to grow brighter and brighter. Toki, whatever you're planning it better be something that can end this... wait, what if the brothers try to harm him at this point?! With this thought, Adrian pulled out another card and slashed it, in hopes that it would help at all.
"Digi-Modify! Mirror Shield Activate!"
Right then and there, a great shield would form around Toki, hoping at least some protection would be granted for Toki while his plan was getting ready. But would it draw attention to him instead...? Adrian uses Mirror Shield on Toki.

"So quick of you to assume. A pity. I had figured you to be more clever than that," Mephistomon chided. "I care for my brother. But he signed his fate when he took up this duty, much as I did. To coddle him would be to his discredit. Besides, my advice is pertinent. He is getting hit, and he would perform better were he to not." The Mephistomon almost seemed to shrug, Bagramon jerking along with the motion. Was this the closest thing to emotion that the goat demon had demonstrated so far? "If you truly took pity on my negligence, then I am sure you would divert some of your attentions towards me. And yet instead, you dogpile on him further. But I suppose as we are on opposite sides of this battle, you do not owe him such courtesy."
As he spoke, Nyao had downed Bagramon with a solid elbow to the back. It wasn't much of a strike. The loyal Digimon had held to her human's wishes, more shoving Bagramon down than actually hitting him. However, he was still downed, and Bagramon's fall sent Mephistomon stumbling forward. It seemed there was a limit to the extent of these dark tendrils, and that they possessed some degree of physical character to them. Perhaps this would be helpful information, especially as Mephistomon yanked back on the tendrils to pull Bagramon towards Nyao yet again. This time his strike would be from behind: while Nyao would surely expect it, their close proximity would leave little time to dodge.
The skull floating before Mephistomon snapped into action as well. Its eyes lit an ominous red as its jaw hung low, a few drops of blood red liquid dribbling down from its teeth. These drops soon intensified into a beam, which fired directly at Toki. It was exactly as Mephistomon had planned . . . yet, unfortunately, he didn't account for Adrian to conjure up a mirrored shield. Knowing damn well that Toki could potentially reflect is attack right back at him, Mephistomon raised his hand to conjure another wall of flesh and tentacles.
Phelesmon grit his teeth at everyone's barbs. "Say the ones trying to kill me," he hissed, three voices speaking in unison. "My mistress specializes in honeyed words. Spare me your attempts at such bargains." The Phelesmon passing between Toki and RedMagnamon stopped, making a hard right to join RedMagnamon and Phelesmon before Toki's crystalline structures closed them off from the rest of the group. The Phelesmon heading for Toki continued, undaunted, to dash towards him, slinging his illusionary pitchfork down on the rabbit's head. However, the Phelesmon approaching RedMagnamon slowed, holding up his pitchfork defensively in anticipation of an attack.
Surprisingly, RedMagnamon didn't choose to do so. Instead, it was Toki who attacked, laser blasts firing from the crystals in every direction at Phelesmon. Both Phelesmon and his mirror image dipped, dived, and dodged, moving in unpredictable directions to try and confuse RedMagnamon. While for the most part they were successful, there were too many lasers and not enough space. A few glancing blows caused Phelesmon further damage, leaving him panting from exertion.
"Two can play at this little game," he snarled, Phelesmon and his mirror image pointing their pitchforks in opposite directions. With their bodies otherwise overlapped perfectly, it was nigh-impossible to identify their shadows. Crimson lightning built up at the tip of each pitchfork, then impacted right into the crystals to RedMagnamon's left and right. From there, the lightning rebounded off of the crystals' multifaceted surfaces, bouncing around the safe zone and turning it into a deathtrap. Phelesmon took this opportunity to fly out of the circle, grinning smugly down at RedMagnamon.
One of the bouncing lightning bolts was real. One was fake. Which would RedMagnamon take a chance with?
Combat Log - Mephistomon pulls Bagramon to tackle Nyao from behind, and his summoned goat skull fires a blood red beam right at Toki. Last Post's Attack: Brimstone - Mephistomon summons a goat skull at a nearby location, which hangs ominously in the air. It builds energy for a post, then fires a blood-red beam at an opponent of Mephistomon's choosing. Unfortunately, Toki is protected by a Mirror Shield and will easily reflect the move. To dissuade Toki from bouncing it at him, Mephistomon hides himself behind a Wall of Woe. This Post's Attack: Wall of Woe - Mephistomon summons a twitching, writhing mass of eyes and tentacles that arranges itself vaguely in the shape of a wall. The real Phelesmon endures several glancing blows from Toki's Topaz Temple, and is looking quite haggard. He pulls one mirror image back to his side while allowing the other to "strike" at Toki, hoping that having one mirror image on his position would make it harder for RedMagnamon to attack him. He and the mirror image then strike back at RedMagnamon with Crimson Lightning. They leave the lightning bouncing off of these crystals, flying away under the cover of the attack. Crimson Lightning - Phelesmon shoots a burst of red-and-white lightning from his pitchfork. A weak yet fast-moving attack, often used to harass his opponents while moving from one point of cover to another. Good news! It also bounces off of reflective surfaces!

"This is a battle...yes...we're on opposite sides of a battle and you're both willing to do what it takes to achieve victory. Commendable, honestly. Forgive my barbs...though know that I will also do what I can to ensure the safety of my friends and loved ones..." The blood red beam impacted the shield Adrian put around him. The beam shot back towards Mephistomon and the wall. This would aid in his next move by hopefully distracting Mephistomon.
"I was simply biding time and preparing." he said when he was mocked for constantly attacking Phelesmon. Wait, where were the orbs that constantly accompanied him? They were suddenly rotating rapidly around the room with Mephistomon and Phelesmon within the orbiting field. Five of the orbs shined brightly as Toki called out "Master's Decree!" The two Digimon would suddenly feel an unbearable surge of gravity crush down upon them, the very room shaking from the power, though all allied Digimon, including Bagramon, would not be affected by the shift in gravitational force.
It was devastating enough on its own, but Toki added the power of all five charged orbs to increase it to crushing levels. He bowed his head respectfully "Mistress, you say? That narrows down who's ordering you...it can't be Leviamon, as she's not one for honeyed words...I wonder who fits that description? Was it one we didn't get to see, I wonder..." he hoped to demoralize the two by understanding who they meant by mistress. He also hoped the force from his attack would snap Mephistomon's connection to Bagramon. If not, he had an idea for that too down the line. "Either way...we're close to finding out your plans...and who knows how the other lords will react to this knowledge being thrown around behind their backs."
----
Toki reflects the beam back at the wall Mephistomon created. The room is then subjected to the move 'Master's Decree.' It's been fully charged by Toki's passive ability.
Tranquility of the Moon Acolyte [Passive]: Each time ZenCherubimon attacks an enemy with an ability, one of the orbs behind him starts to glow and charge up. Up to five orbs can be charged. Each charge can be expended to have an ability deal 10% extra damage for a maximum of 50% if all charges are used. 0/5 charges.
Master's Decree: The orbs fly out to an area and begin to rotate around each other at increasing speeds. The area in which the orbit will suffer a massive increase in gravity, causing enemies in the area to slam hard into the ground as if kneeling or bowing to ZenCherubimon. Afterwards, the orbs return to him and he bows his head back respectfully. (3 turn cooldown.)

So Mephistomon may have a soft spot for his brother after all? Mephistomon is probably a believer in tough love then. Despite being able to apply such facts, Katsura felt no shame in having an argument anyway. Especially since this was the first time Mephistomon showed any emotion at all, so this could very much be his emotional weak spot.
"I never attacked your brother. I only do self-defense, you know." Katsura retorted calling out Mephistomon. Technically Katsura was right, aside from the obvious, Nyao had so far only used attacks meant to hurt Mephistomon. Both times Phelesmon was hit was by proxy through standing within range. Come to think of it, the very last thing Nyao said before the fight started was ordering "GranDracmon" to leave. What Katsura lacked in strength, she wanted to gain with words. Making Mephistomon engage in a meaningless argument about such sensitive topics could only hinder Mephistomon's concentration. Nyao was irritated about the limitations sat by Katsura. That is until Nyao noticed that Mephistomon moved when she showed Bagramon into the ground. Apparently, the strings holding Bagramon wasn't that long?.. And then Bagramon was thrown right at Nyao's back.
"Argh" Nyao said moaning in pain, she couldn't dodge it and had to move her feet to avoid falling. Despite this, Nyao grinned? For the first time since becoming Mervamon she seemed happy again, in a smug sort of way. Because afterwards, she took hold on Bagramon in what out of context would look like a lovely hug from behind.
"Hehe good one, but did you forget what I said? Even when my powers fail, I win. Let's see how you like being a ragdoll."
And then Nyao literally ran away with Bagramon trying to counteract any attempt of avoiding Toki's red beam. Try to move left? Yank Bagramon to the right! Duck? Pull Bagramon down. Escape? Stand in the same spot not letting go. Nyao was determined to make Mephistomon stay in this exact spot. And considering Mervamon's strength, she could assert much force.
After realizing the effect of Toki's "Master's Decree", if she's still holding Bagramon by then, she would yank Bagramon downwards with as much strength as she can only to "accidentally" lose grip on him once the gravity peaks. Nyao was planning to make gravity do the work for her. Katsura could merely shake her head and look in disbelief over Nyao's strategy. "Well.. At least she doesn't attack Mr. Bagramon... That's an improvement... And the building is not collapsing... I'm impressed" Katsura shrugged. How many times had Katsura been in such situations before? The world may never know. Katsura looked at one golden holofoil card in her deck.
"Hmm, at least the shield..." Katsura decided not to interrupt Toki's conversation with Phelesmon and just wait for them to answer and expose themselves.
Nyao was hit (for lack of better words) by Bagramon. With her improved speed and having Bagramon right in front of her, Nyao grabbed hold on Bagramon.
Nyao is trying to keep Mephistomon the yo-yo in place for Toki's attack.
Mephistomon the yo-yo is then subjected to walk-the-dog during Master's Degree
Note: Complimenting Lightning Implant is Godly strength. This is also why she can do this feat.
Effects: Buffs/debuff: Lightning Implants (1/3) Love Poison (3/5)
Nyao did not use an attack this post. (+1 Dex-bazooka)

"He is getting hit, and he would perform better were he to not." Even for someone like RedMagnamon who loves that kind of humor, he was not happy with the way Mephistomon was treating his brother.
"Dude, if that's what you call advice then being a therapist is not your calling. You always do your best to support your friends and family, even in battle! And if you have a problem with us attacking him, then maybe you should stop your little puppet show with Bagramon there and actually do something aside from using a Digimon shield, coward."
Sadly RedMagnamon had no time to fight Mephistomon as he still had to deal with Phelesmon. The tormented brother and his mirror image had both sent electric bolts right at the Dragon Warrior via their tridents, and he couldn't identify their shadows. The bolts bounced off of the crystals, essentially causing him to be trapped. One of these bolts was real while the other was fake, but it was impossible to tell which one was which.
"I can fly too, you know." RedMagnamon nonchalantly said, using his flying ability to simply levitate out of the trap, as the pillar structure had no roof. He then proceeded to blast at Phelesmon with a Magma Blast.
It seemed that Adrian's Mirror Shield worked, as the beam managed to be reflected right back at Mephistomon. Of course the Demon Lord servant had created a wall of flesh to protect himself ("Ew, that's so gross," RedMagnamon had commented,) so no damage was done. Thankfully, Toki's plan seemed to be coming to fruition.
His five orbs glew brightly and surrounded the room, including Mephistomon and Phelesmon. Suddenly the gravity on the two brothers increased to crushing levels, meaning they were effectively stuck to the ground. Adrian watched the situation and just couldn't help but have a smile on his face. "Holy crap… nice plan, Toki!"
There was still more that needed to be answered: who was the brothers' mistress?

"I have no problem with any of your attacks. Not the ones directed against my brother, nor the barbs directed against me," Mephistomon said, waving off both Toki and Adrian's statements. "To battle is to battle. I understand that we all do as we must, for who we must, when we must. Such is simply the nature of things, is it not?" Even the wall of flesh trembling in front of his face didn't seem to phase him, despite the ungodly moans escaping from orifices that tore open on its surface.
Toki's words were far more interesting than the wall, anyway! Despite the rush of gravity taking him down to one knee, Mephistomon didn't even seem to react. He laughed, even more dry and void of emotion than his usual words. "Oh, my little learner, do you wish for me to validate your answer so badly?" he asked, tilting his head in interest. "With but one word, you've already discovered my brother's keeper. I applaud you."
With a heavy tug of the fallen Bagramon, Nyao proceeded to applaud Mephistomon's face against the floor. The sudden face smash left Mephistomon dazed, but more importantly caused the strings adhering Bagramon against Mephistomon to fray. With this initial rip made, the sheer force of gravity kicked up by Toki started tearing at each individual rip. The glaring, intense light burned at each rip, wisps of dark matter burning off of the rope by the second. After but a precious few moments the string ripped, sending Bagramon hurtling right into Mephistomon's face. The two slide into the corner, Mephistomon looking rather nonplussed by the massive armored figure currently pinning him to the ground.
For once, Phelesmon fared somewhat better than Mephistomon. He dug his pithchfork into the ground, helping him stay on his feet even as the gravity bared down on him. He was far too injured to capitalize on it and raise to his feet, but he wasn't about to give Toki the satisfaction of bowing before him. "Yes, yes, dwell on what I say. But my mistress is of no concern to you," he hissed. "Our lords may be seven, but they stand as one. I could serve any of the Seven, and yet it would matter not which.
Now stand and fight already! Stop holding back!" Was RedShoutmon's lack of fighting starting to get to Phelesmon? He almost seemed offended by the time it was taking to end this!
Combat Log - Mephistomon and Phelesmon are pinned down by gravitational force. Neither of them are really in a position to attack right now, to be honest. Especially since Mephistomon just took a Bagramon to the face, and is now pinned into a corner by him. Phelesmon keeps standing defiantly, thanks to the aid of his pitchfork, but is still incapable of moving or striking back in order to avoid being smashed.

Toki nodded his head slowly as the orbs slowly returned to him. "Hm. Whoever you serve, you still claim they stand as one. It seems we've learned all we can for now. Very well. You wish to see this fight through to the end? Then I shall oblige. You have been strong opponents." He said with a bow.
He looked back at RedMagnamon and knew he would need help soon with the light in the area. He'd keep that in mind, but for now they should be on the offensive considering the advantage they've been given with their current immobility. Katsura and Nyao's card effect and overall battle performance has been top notch. Nyao pretty much handled Mephistomon on her own.
Phelesmon was stubborn and didn't seem too interested in revealing much about whoever's giving him commands. "Ah, but not all of the demon lords were pleased that our conversations were cut short, so there's far more to your mistress than meets the eye, I think. So I think it does matter. Either way...enough talk, as you said." He opened his eyes suddenly "Starlight Gaze." The gravity around Phelesmon increased exponentially for a split second just as Master's Decree began to wear off, the tile of the floor cracking under his weight and the pitchfork. "I wish our talks could have ended more amicably. Truly, I do. You've made good points, but your methods are not sound. They will not lead to anything that will be remembered fondly by the future generations. Manipulation, plotting, and violent upheaval...they will fail you."
Mephistomon's hold over Bagramon looked like it was severed, thank goodness. Both enemies were pinned down and on their last legs. At least, that's what he hoped. This had to end one way or another. He simply wished it could have been solved in a peaceful manner.
------
Toki uses Starlight Gaze on Phelesmon, further subjecting him to gravitational force.
Starlight Gaze: ZenCherubimon fully opens his eyes and a powerful aura shines around him. The enemy his focus is directed on feels a force pushing down on their body as if the very air is trying to slam them into the earth. (2 turn cooldown)
Master's Decree 1/3, Starlight Gaze 0/2.

Despite feeling ignored, Katsura kept trying to argue with Mephistomon. This time by answering his question.
"No... do you even know why the demon lords signed that don't-kill pact?.. I'm only surprised they had to sign something so obvious it shouldn't need a signed contract... I doesn't matter if you're a demon or not... You need to trust that your friends... your allies... Your family will protect you... A leader must be someone inspiring... someone who cares... What disappoints me the most is even your masters get that... What's your problem?" Katsura looked with indifference at Nyao beating Mephistomon up through the strings on Bagramon. It quickly becomes apparent that Katsura had stopped caring about Mephistomon's injuries. Nyao by contrast was finally starting to look happy well it was more a sadistic smirk but she certainly looked happy to see Bagramon smashing into Mephistomon, she even grinned sincerely. And promptly used her enchanted speed to run right next to Mephistomon, staring him down.
"That was for deceiving me, now this..." Nyao lifted her foot above one of Mephistomon's arms, she then used all the speed from the card and all her inert strength to step on Mephistomon's elbow as hard as absolutely possible without as much as blinking.
"... Is for trying to hurt my Katsura." Nyao shifted balance between her toes and heel, not only did Nyao deliberately attempt to break Mephistomon's arm she wanted the experience to be as painful as she could. Whether the bone would crack under the pressure was another problem. Nyao raised her sword again. "Tell me goat, tell me why I shouldn't kill you right here, right now? Go on, impress me with your words of wisdom. I'm all ears for you." Indeed, Nyao was looking at Mephistomon waiting for him to answer.
Nyao ran next to MephistomonNyao stomped on Mephistomon's elbow with the intent of breaking his arm.
Nyao didn't use an attack this post (+1 Dex-bazooka)
Effects: Buffs/debuff: Lightning Implants (2/3) Love Poison (4/5)

Finally, the group had these Demon Lord servants right where they wanted them. Thanks to Toki's ability, the gravity for the two brothers had been increased to exponential levels, meaning it would be a very hard time for them to continue to fight. As thus, now was the perfect time to get some answers, as Toki was clearly trying to do, as he was the best with words in the group.
Sadly these brothers were strong, and they still did not reveal anything concrete that was worth taking note of. Although that would be very hard with Nyao legitimately pummeling Mephistomon's face right into the ground before Bagramon's strings snapped and he was thrown right on top of him. After that, the goat faced Digimon looked like a right mess. "Is Nyao going to delete Mephistomon?" Adrian whispered to Katsura. "I wouldn't be complaining if she did, but is that the best option right now?"
Surprisingly, Phelesmon was the brother that was doing better off for once. He tried to use his trident to hold himself up, insisting to RedMagnamon to not hold back and fight him. The red dragon Digimon could see the anger in his opponent, as if just the mere act of not fighting was driving him mad. RedMagnamon smirked.
"Now why would I go and fight someone who's down? Doesn't seem very fair to me," RedMagnamon commented, putting his hands behind his back.
