OOC: This thread is open to all tournament participants, and the D-Reaper Scout. There is absolutely no post order, and people may enter or leave the thread as they please. Feel free to insert your own amenities, objects, and description into the space. It's VR, after all. IN COMPLIANCE WITH TOURNAMENT RULES, AN INTERFERENCE FIELD WILL RENDER IMPROVED SCANNERS USELESS.
Sitting on a bench next to a 16-year-old Japan native, a Commandramon was inspecting his weapon...s. "Something's wrong. The M1100 is missing."
"Bam! Bang! Boom!" It was missing because a BlackTerriermon was pointing it around the room and 'shooting' it. Good thing the captain had the foresight not to load any of the weapons. "Should... we do something?" The human boy asked.
Commandramon waved him off. "Let her have her fun. It's better than starting a real fight before it's time."
A moment later, a Jetmon would land on the bench and report, "Head count complete. All present."
"Well, then, let's see what's going on." One wall of virtual space was lined with monitors, showing the first fights starting up. The number of camera angles was almost absurd, but no one would miss any action, especially with the ability to rewind, play back, and even slo-mo the action on request. This was particularly attractive to a set of six Missimon and eight MetalKoromon who sat themselves before the massive wall of screens as well as a pair of Rocketmon. Dakota the Strabimon wandered around saying various hellos to various people. A Rukamon didn't have that luxury, but an impression in the ground full of water let him be out and about among the public - who had better be wary not to fall in the otherwise unblocked pool. Kamushi the Searchmon excitedly whizzed about the lounge while a Deckerdramon was chasing after him, growling.
"Wait, where's Hagurumon?" Jetmon pointed at an isolated corner of the room where the gear digimon was shivering and whimpering loudly than they really wanted to, but they couldn't seem to make themselves stop. Even in this virtual space, fighting scared them. "Well... we'll try not to force them into anything." Tadayoshi stood up. "Where are you going?" "Oh, just to mingle. Trade tips. Scope the competition. You guys wanna come?" "Not quite yet." "I will." Jetmon perched herself on Tadayoshi's arm, at which point the General stood up and began meandering about.

Zachary and Panthermon soon arrived in the social area of Terminus-- the center of the Digital World. They had warped there from the human world via the Digi-Gate he created, but it was his first time in Terminus-- and it already felt like being in Tokyo for the first time. Zachary looked to find buildings and skyscrapers all around. A modern metropolises exclusively made by Digimon.
Even Panthermon, the digimon born from his own imagination, was in awe by the designs around him. They had come to this city for one reason-- the Digimon Tournament that was announced on the Tamer Net. Unwilling to pass up a chance to fight, Panthermon was eager to participate. Zachary, hoping to gain some experience as a new Tamer, hoped to take part as well.
"Another concerete jungle..." Panthermon said as he observed the screens going up, showing the upcoming fights.
Zachary checked his Digivice, which also displayed Tamer Net messages. His D-Power, showed the email he got going over the rules and times of their matches. "From what I gather, this tournament might be a bit of a challenge. You sure this was a good idea? " Zachary asked.
Panthermon let out a soft purr or growl as he turned to his human partner-- his creator. "Don't tell me your getting cold feet now, are you?" he somewhat teased and sat down on the stone steps of the square as Digimon passed them by. Luckily, no one paid them any major mind.
"No," Zachary said as he sighed, lowering his Digivice and took out his Digimon Cards-- the ones he worked so hard to get from Starmon he worked for. "But my contributions to this fight won't matter much. The rules say we are not allowed to use any tools tot help you, including these. I won't be able to help you, wich I would of imagined was a Digimon Tamer's job." Frustration and disappointment was clear in his voice as he pocketed back his cards and bit his lip.
Panthermon paused as his tail swished about. He sat there similar to a sphynx."Zachary, if you think I solely depend on just your strategy with the cards, you are sorely mistaken." the cat said flatly.
This surprised Zachary as he listened to his partner. "What makes you a great tamer isn't merely your ability to enhance my powers beyond Evolution, but your guidance and insight. You have a creative mind that the cards merely gave you ability to utaliz easier. But there are many ways you can use that ingenuity without the cards. We are partners, which means I'm counting on you to guide me and watch my back." The cat gave a soft growl as he stood up again, his digi-ring on his rear paw glistening in the sunlight. "Can I count on you for that?" he asked.
Zachary took a deep breath as he looked around. "Well, yeah-- of course." he replied.
The panther smiled, as close as the cat could anyway. "Then don't worry. We will be fine. At least this isn't as life-threatening as what we done in the past. This will be a good effort for us. Just have some faith." he growled.
Zachary pocketed his gear and tools, realizing he probably didn't need them as much as he thought. He wanted to make use of the strong combos that his cards could utalize, but there were more important things when it came to be a Digimon Tamer.

If there was ever a way to draw unwanted attention, one could achieve this in a number of ways... commit atrocities against humanity for instance! Alas, that was unfortunately against "the rules", and Amaranthus was a law-abiding demon... therefore she really only had one option outside of the ring...
Be an annoying shit.
The Mephistomon X was amidst the participants currently on standby, she passing her time as she gave herself some shade with her parasol. Her other hand was occupied by an XXL-size soda that she every so often would chug audibly (how the ram skull of hers contorted in a manner to have lips for the straw was a mystery). All in all, she had an air of rude smugness that permeated her being.
Taking note of the Xros General and the Tamer, she briefly paused as she whistled to the two humans and their partners. "Yoo hoo ~ ! Hallo zusammen!" the demon Digimon called out to them with a highly-british inflection to her girly voice that probably was unfitting for someone who had flaming skull eyes... Nonetheless, the demoness walked up to them... whether they wanted her around or not. "Oh isn't this just a treat! It tickles the senses to see so many ferocious warriors gathered in one place! Why, I'm quaking in my stilettos already!"
For posterity's sake, this was coming from a 15 foot tall demon goat in heels. To say that she was being very unserious was an understatement to say the least.
She audibly drank from her soda once more, gazing at the two participants. To say she had a somewhat low opinion on humans wasn't an understatement... they were awfully cute creatures (oh and occasionally handsome too ~), but she also had a tendency to underestimate them. After all, the real threats were the partners in her eyes. She gazed at Tadayoshi's ensemble and the panther-esque Digimon of an unknown species to her with a curious look, though she was not terribly impressed at first glance. "... Gee, they really just let any schmuck with a Digimon join these days..." Amaranthus murmurred quietly to herself, though nothing that couldn't be heard if you paid attention.

It was likely unwise to be doing the things that the Meicoomon was up to at the moment in this...waiting room of sorts. Is it watching the entertainment? God, no. Socializing? Hell the fuck no. Was it tapping away furiously at the screen of what appeared to be a smartphone? Hell yeah.
Whatever it was that this cat was attempting to compose with her greasy little cat fingers, it seemed to be stressful in nature. Vexing, even. "...I mentioned where those guys went -last- round, idiots..." Mae mumbled as she continued to tap away at a keyboard that wasn't even actually there. That was the magic of phones, was it not?
She then looked up. "...Who are you people again? I haven't been keeping up with signups. Important business and all." She just addressed everyone in the room nonchalantly, before resuming to type a few more words. "Hm...Using Hornet Cooker or Chitin Hammer..."

The number of people in the waiting area was something else for Zachary, some of them not even human. He saw one tamer that was human nearby, but he seemed to have multiple Digimon partners. He didn't know you could have more than one-- not that he would trade or undervalue Panthermon in any way. However, what really got him worried was the non-human participant. Zachary did regard the man, Tadayoshi , with a look, one of curiosity. Clearly, the man might be able to tell Zachary was not accustomed to being around other tamers... not as often as others would be.
One such Digimon, a Mephistomon who looked like a gentlemanly goat, leered at their general direction. At the glance, Panthermon quickly saw the gaze and gazed back as a jungle cat would. A soft growl escaped Panthermon, not liking the dark demonic Digimon.
Panthermon was a creature of darkness, but one who sworn to use that darkness to protect the innocent. Though a Nightmare Soldier-- it rarely got along with such Digimon, especially if they were evil. Something he could smell... However, if they were to fight such a powerful foe-- it is a disaster of a match up for them.
One person Zachary took an interest was another cat Digimon, one that was orange and stripes with 'crosses' in its eyes. Curious, both Zachary and Panthermon approached them as she called out to no one in paticular. The last phrase she said made the two glance at one another, no clue what she was talking about.
"Um, hello there. My tamer and I are new here," Panthermon greeted with a gentlemenly tone to the Meikoomon. "I'm Panthermon and this is Zachary."
Zachary felt the urge to want to pet or hug Meikoomon. She was an adorable little cat, but kept his hands to himself for now-- seeing as she was fiddling with a smart phone.

"Bullshit." Gummy crossed his arms and continued to walk.
"You mad?" Vee taunted from behind. He smirked widely, Justice at his side rolled his eyes.
"No, because you're wrong." Gummy sucked his teeth.
Vee chuckled as he put his arms behind his head. "You're mad~" He looked up, a smirk of triumph written on his face.
Vee and Gummy had been bickering back and forth for the past hour and a half, over which Digimon would win in a fight: an Ice Devimon, or a Meramon. Their conversation had started with them agreeing on battle scenarios with certain Digimon starting with best attribute types, moved to field, down to elemental types. Vee had seemed to be winning the arguments as Gummy resorted to childish behavior whenever he was losing, which was often. Vee seemed to be a font of knowledge on all things battle related, while Gummy just knew the basics, and only about his personal favorite Digimon and their levels.
Justice kept to himself mostly, throwing into the debates every now ad then but overall laughing at the entire thing, and mot often at Gummy's expense. Before the Digimon Rumble arguments, they were discussing video games; an argument that Justice had won hands down. The debates had moved on once the two brothers had realized that Justice was practically a Bible of all things game-related. The two tried to argue, he countered easily.
The three then arrived to the Virtual Arena: a huge stadium located in the center of Terminus. A Digital Tournament was announced a few days ago on the Tamernet, in which a lot people had already signed up for. Seeing as though he had no school work to worry about, Justice curiously signed them up as participants, wondering if they would even get a slot. Lo and behold, their application was accepted, much to Vee and Gummy's excitement. A tourney to see which contender was the strongest was an opportunity they couldn't miss.
After going through the front desk to confirm their registration, the three were then instructed to go to the waiting area until the tournament officially started.
Opening the doors, the three were greeted to a bunch of Tamers and Digimon either sitting on the comfy benches, or getting some refreshments and food. Among them was that Zack dude and his Digimon. Justice recalled them from the Golden Week incident. The person he was talking to made all three of them widen their eyes in shock.
"Oh you've got to be shitting me..." Justice murmured.
It was that Xros General, Tadayoshi, and his little band of soliders, one of them being that Commandramon that Vee and Gummy knew so, so well. All three of them gave a sharp glare at them, with Gummy bearing his teeth. Any good mood they had before was suddenly gone.

"Oh, you don't want to go Chitin, that's just how they're trying to get you to spend money. Nothing after that floor's weak to bug stuff anyway."
... Wasn't the Scout supposed to be observing the other rounds? And yet here it was, looking right over the Meicoomon's shoulder, at her phone, as if it was the most natural thing in the world. But he didn't stay for long, slipping right over to the Xros team, looking at the lot from above. "Ya'know, I was excited when I saw you lot confirm for this - but at the time, I thought you would have filled out half the bracket! Then again... I guess not a lot of people would want to see the inevitable MetalKoromon versus MetalKoromon bumper car tirade... hm."
The scout tilted his head, attention turned right towards the haughty Amaranthus. Despite her rather confident tone, the Scout just turned a nod to her. "Yeah, I ain't gonna get involved in the... mind-games here? You do you."
And with that, the Scout would turn and - vanish on the spot, in a cloud of 0's and 1's.
... Yup. Very little made sense about the instigator of this whole thing.

There were certainly many interesting competitors lurking these parts now, besides herself of course... Amaranthus had not paid too much mind to the Meicoomon personally due to they being occupied with a phone of some sort, but another a human with a pair of Dragon-species Rookie this time soon arrived. This wouldn't have been too interesting to the womanly demon, but it was unusual to her what the color of their skin was like. Smiling somewhat sinisterly, the Mephistomon X giggled at Justice's direction. "Oh! I never knew humans come in other colors! Personally I'm more a fan of purple." she mused.
While she didn't have much of an opinion on any of these humans personally, her ears twitched as Panthere introduced himself to the maine coone... a very intriguing thing to hear actually due to what the positions for the tournament were like. The demonic Ultimate-level strutted up to the goggle-wearing boy and his partner, still with that smug look on her face as she unfolded her parasol and tapped the ground to get Panthermon's attention. "Oh? Did you say his name was Zachary? Oh how amusing! It appears we'll be fighting in Round 2 then! Amaranthus, dear. How charming to meet you." the Mephistomon X greeted them... though her polite mannerisms were not truly genuine. "Really! I've always wanted an exotic cat furcoat! I'd say it'd look quite fetching on me."
Before she could really go and continue saying other generally irritating and demoralizing taunts though, the goat's attention was turned to that delightfully... curious host of theirs. She didn't know what the hell that flying creature was, nor did it at all smell like a Digimon... but her smug aura seemed to for a moment vanish as they spoke to her directly before very quickly vanishing shortly after. The Mephistomon X leered at where the D-Reaper Scout was just a moment ago before sipping her drink once more with a somewhat judgemental stare. "... Yeesh. Can't a girl have a little fun with about being judged...?" she quietly spoke to herself, opting to instead hover above the Meicoomon's shoulder with a bored look, trying to see just what they were typing.

"Huh?" Tadayoshi and the Jetmon perched on his arm were the ones who first heard the Mephistomon's call, and Deckerdramon even ceased his earth-trembling chase next to that duo to listen to the stranger as well. Of course, it seemed she had nothing important to say. Just trash talk. Well, perhaps trash talk was a big part of the event, but Tadayoshi and most of his crew weren't interested in partaking. Deckerdramon rolled his eyes. Jetmon did, too. Tadayoshi stared blankly a moment, then turned away. "Good for you, General." Click-click! Commandramon had wandered over during that moment while just loading the magazine of an HK416. "Don't bother yourself with the opinions of those who haven't proven themselves contenders." Even though he was looking at Tadayoshi, he was trying to speak loud enough for Amaranthus to hear, too. Tadayoshi smiled. They continued on their merry way.
If Vee, Gummy, and Justice were hoping to avoid the General, well, they weren't doing a very good job. Their cacophonous argument was still their schtick, it seemed, and those who knew the group recognized the familiar voices immediately, followed by the familiar faces. The Missimon began flying circles around them. "What's-"
"-up-"
"-losers?"
"Gonna-"
"-faint-"
"-again?"
The MetalKoromon formed a perimeter around those three as well, beeping and booping in a manner that sounded an awful lot like agreement with the Missimon.
Angel just pointed the unloaded shotgun she'd lifted from Commandramon at Gumdramon and pretended to shoot, "Bang!" Commandramon was the one who had the good sense to knock that off. "Enough, all of you. You're representing your team. Do not embarrass it." All of those three groups of digimon backed off, leaving Justice and his digimon alone, though Angel just went on to go bother others instead. But he wasn't much easier on the 'victims' either. "You can put your glares back where you found them, too. What ever hard feelings you have are not our doing." True, Commandramon did defeat them both by himself last they met, but all combatants were honorable, and he still learned from them. He still respected them, too - though maybe a little less if they were bad sports about a spar. "Win your first bracket. If you still have some personal feelings to work out with us, that will be your chance. I look forward to it." Commandramon neither smiled nor frowned as he said this. "You all have history?" asked Jetmon. "In a sense."
But before the air could get too hostile, a certain someone had decided to drop in to give its two cents - or, a cent-and-a-half, more like. The group looked away from Justice and to the Scout, just stunned at its... eccentricity. By the time it vanished again the team still couldn't come up with a response for that.

The three didn't say anything as the Missimon and MetalKoromon danced around them in circles, oopenly mocking the from their last encounter with no qualms whatsoever. If the teasing wasn't enough, the BlackTerriermon from the group pointed a shotgun at Gummy and imitate firing it, making the Gumdramon jump in fear. Seeing that it wasn't loaded with any shotgun shells made him snarl in response to that sick joke.
Before Gummy could make a move however, Vee stepped in front him, snatching the unloaded shotgun from the BlackTerrimon's tiny hands and tossing it aside. "Knock it off!" Vee said, getting face to face with him. His tone was calm, yet threatening at the same time. Joking was one thing, but making fun of his brother, who was seriously injured at the time, was unforgivable.
Their attention then darted to Commandramon, who ordered all of the Digimon to back off. In a tone-deaf manner, he told them to wipe the look off their faces and essentially get over from what happened when they last met. To Justice, this was really disrespectful, even if he didn't mean it. While yes, sparring matches tend to end with both opponents bruised up, it would end with respect from both opponents. But with his "sparring match" with Vee and Gummy's sparring match, it didn't ended like that. How it did ended was with a Gumdramon, in a crater of the bark of a tree with bullet wounds all over his body, and a Veemon who was burned, bruised, with data streaming from his wounds too injured to even stand up. That wasn't a sparring match; it was like a deathmatch.
He then told them to win their first match if they want to settle the matter, which then made the three turn to one of the monitors above. They were in the first rounds from the looks of it. Their opponent was another Tamer named Ayumi and her Digimon partner: a Monodramon named Solomon.
"So we just gotta win the first match, then we can face them?" Gummy asked.
"Yup." Vee respond, not taking his eyes off the screen. "Looking at them, they seem to be one tough customer."
Before Justice could respond, one of the other contestants - a tall goat-like Digimon that looked like it came from the 9th Circle of Hell - giggled at Justice, telling him she'd never saw a human of his color before. In normal situations, this would have offended Justice, but seeing as how most Digimon rarely see humans, he decided to let it slide. "Well, ignorance aside, you'd be surprised. If you ever come to the human world, you'll find many humans of different color and ethnicity."
After that, he turned his attention to the Xros Army, who were paying attention to another random who showed up, then vanished. Justice decided to walk up to them, more specially Tadayoshi. His Digimon's comments from before got under his skin.
"You know what's funny, Mister High and Mighty? I kind of find it hard to believe who's actually in charge of your band of ass munchers: You, or militarized meat head that thinks it's alright to leave a sparring opponent riddle with bullets. Cuz it sounds to me that he keeps everything in order while you just sit on your ass doing jack all."

Justice wasn't gonna hit Yoshi... right? Fighting in this area was banned... for digimon. Uh-oh. Well for safety's sake he stepped back from Justice as the other boy advanced, effectively yielding to him while trying to stow flashbacks of his regular high school bully. It was hard, though, because the situation seemed quite similar: someone with their own inner conflict was feeling weak and undervalued, and so tried to project strength to compensate by being imposing and verbally assaulting a smaller, supposedly weaker, and younger victim. Well, Yoshi was about done backing down to bullies in mind, even if he was physically backing down. "Commandramon is a leader in his own right, and after he applied appropriate force during our spar, he attended to his injured opponent. If those are the worst things you have to say about him or me, it sounds like we're doing OK."
"Fellas! 'Ey, buddies, wha's happenin'?" Tadayoshi didn't see where the Strabimon had come from, but he slipped one arm over the General's shoulder and pulled him in close to his own shoulder in a sort of friendly hug. He also tried to encompass Justice in this embrace with the other arm. From the amount of force applied, though, he was clear this was no mere gesture of friendship. "Boss man, you didn't tell me this guy was your friend. 'Sup? Name's Dakota." His grip got tighter on whichever humans were still in his grasp. "You look like a cool dude. We should chill sometime when this is all done, no bull. But you're kinda harshin' the vibe with the yellin', y'know? Ya don't wanna spoil your good first impression, do ya?" His tone was a caricature of an easygoing young guy, and his face was comically cheerful, but the extremism of these emotions made it clear there was an angry subtext to his intervention, and anyone who wasn't oblivious could have picked up on it. "Don't make me have to break this up."

(Late reply so gonna post to whom I interact with) A lot was going on that went by quickly as the excitement or stalemates of the ongoing matches made everyone exited or nervous. Depended on your point of view. While Panthermon was simply resting, his paws under his chin as he enjoyed a mild cat-nap-- he noticed the odd presence of a strange data anomoly-- in the shape of a masked bird. It came, observed and fluttered away, disappearing without a trace. Panthermon growled at the strange being-- knowing full well it was no Digimon. " Something wrong, Panthermon? " Zachary asked. The cat noticed the strange bat-mole was gone and he just calmed down with soft growls like a purr. " Not sure... Probably nothing, " the jungle cat said. AmaranthusThe Meikoomon didn't pay them either mind and just went tapping on her phone. Clearly she had no desire to interact, so the two were left alone... till a rather scary looking individual approached them. Zachary turned to find an odd goat-like creature, of a same dark shade of personality that her physique demonstrated, including the oddly placed hat on her head. Zachary took on a bit of caution and Panthermon too jumped to his feet-- casting a snarl at her direction. Even Panthermon could sense the malevolence that hid behind her smug facade. As Zachary and Panthermon regarded the strange goat-woman, Zachary leered as she came right up and saying they were her first opponents. Zachary saw the intimidating state of the digimon-- clearly a far stronger Digimon than a rookie would be. Champion, at most Ultimate. She soon introduced herself as Amaranthus. " I see. Nice to meet you," Zachary said, polite but guarded in tone. Panthermon too was on guard. The cocky malevolence she radiated was palpable and mocking tone. Regardless the two were not about to be easily intimidated by her when the match came. " Well then, let's hope my claws are as sharp as that tongue of yours." Panthermon cleverly said, his calm demeanor returning. Zachary too stood tall to face the goat. " I take it you don't have a partner of your own? You're participating as a lone Digimon?" he asked the goat.

Amaranthus was to say the least a very a cocky individual... but she was at the same time a good sport. She disdained weakness, and any foe of hers would need to steel their resolve if they hoped to even have a chance to prevail against her. "Good, good! I wouldn't have it any other way! If you cannot get past me, how would you even hope to get past the others?" she applauded Panthermon, though her air of smugness remained. Civil, but snide... that was one way of describing the demon goat.
The Mephistomon X stared at Zachary as they spoke, leering at him with a more a look of curiosity. She grinned lightly, nodding at him. "Afraid no, dear. The stars chose for me to be a lone wolf, but perhaps one day a human with the will to tame this devil will appear?" she explained, though mused briefly at the possibility of her losing her solo Digimon status in the future... unlikely, but not something she'd consider impossible if the right circumstances occurred. She bowed in a courteous manner, her flaming eyes gazing at Zachary and Panthermon. "Regardless, I open my services to your kind just as equally as I do for Digimon... If you ever need someone dead, extra muscle, or an errand fulfilled; name a price and I may take it up. Of course, I have standards on what I will take up... I don't murder just anyone, y'know."
Nonetheless, Amaranthus turned her attention to the other two humans... both whom seemed to have a bit of a bone to pick with the other. Oh rivalries... something always amusing to see bloom amidst others. She soon butted her way amidst the two, still with that oh so smug look she had always. "Anyway, so lovelies... Whats your opinion on the rest of these round one participants? I know perhaps a few of you will be curious as to whom you will do battle with in round two." she teased, clapping her hands childishly. "Who knows? Maybe it will eventually lead to you two boys settling your little argument on the battlefield in round two...? Chocolate and handsome here will have to hope his partners can handle that pale lady with the Monodramon though."

Justice made a disgusted sound in his throat and tapped his foot on the ground angrily. He expected Tadayoshi to give him a pompous remark, but never had he heard a response that made him this angry. Sure, Commandramon patched up Vee and Gummy, something which he was grateful for, but his bitterness stems only to Tadayoshi and less from Commandramon. If there's one thing Justice didn't like, it's people that are arrogant, and Tadayoshi and his team were pumped to the brim with it.
"Appropriate force?" Justice questioned. "In what way was blasting one of my Digimon half to death 'appropriate action?' You got some putting yourself on a pedestal to say that dumb shit. Every word that you bark is making me violently angry. So please, say something else more pompous so I can shoved that back into your mouth."
Justice was then suddenly yanked right next to another Digimon, as well as Tadayoshi, the amount of force almost trip on his feet. Seeing that this was one of Tadayoshi's soldiers, Justice rolled his eyes in response to his friendly banter. Then, the Strabimon's grip around him got tighter and tighter the more he talked. Looking at him, it was clear to Justice that there was some angry undertones to his posture, his arm and his shoulder, and his overall mood.
Something inside Justice suddenly snapped. Whatever it was he had been carrying around had finally broken, and felt a rage building up inside him he hadn't before. His teeth clenched as his eyes nearly closed with rage. His voive grew darker, a low growl as he promptly pushed the Strabimon back, ignoring what the demon goat Digimon had to say.
"Get your hands off me! Who the fuck are you threatening me like that?! On my mama I'll knock your ass out! Say something to me! I dare you, say something smart out your mouth!"
"Justice, calm down!" Vee yelled suddenly. He and Gummy came and grabbed both of Justice's arms, struggling to force him away from those two. "This isn't like you!"
"Nah, little bitch over here tryna catch these hands. I don't give a damn if he a Digimon, ima give you something to break when I knock your teeth out!"
Despite his attempt on reaching them, Justice could not escape his Digimon's hold on him, and he was promptly dragged away from them and out of the break room and into the hallway.

"Sooooo... who are you rooting for this time?" a young man asked his partner as he took a can of drink from the vending machine.
"...Aniki, dude, you're making me choose the hard thing here... Look, five of... twenty or so? Combatants are my friends. Three are my disciples... you're... making me choose between heaven or hell over here. Hasenya is my best bud's daughter... Mae is... Kappy... what's my relations with Kappy anyway? I have no idea. And there's Owen, my best bud's husband, there's Levi, there's Ophi, there's Skadi... you're saying that I should root for one of them? You madman, you cruel partner."
"Hey hey, easy. I'm just asking your personal opinion."
"...Hmmm, if you're just asking, then... I guess I'm rooting most for Ophi and Skadi. They're hardworkers pretty much... Ophi probably doesn't need the luck, but hey I guess she'll need the calm instead. Testing the waters can lead her to many problems, and I hope she immediately go for the attack."
"She's against Owen you know?"
"...I actually kinda want her to win, but I can't help but to get excited either if I get to fight Owen."
"In that case, you have to win until... what, semifinal?"
"...I'm sooo damn nervous."
Valt might doesn't looks like it normally, but when it comes to tournaments, he oftentimes got really nervous nervous. His pride wants him to ace everything and win obviously... but at the same time he know it won't be a walk in the park. It's deefiitely more like waddling through minefield... and wish for the best. After all, the chance of his entire moveset being countered is very high.
Just as they turned around to enter the waiting room... that happened. Yeesh. Valt just...winced at whatever this hostility is. Ryouta? He decided that it's none of his business pretty much, and took a seat somewhere random. Yeah, let's just... try to chill. This is not the right time to look for fight...
