Zachary sighed in relief as the cover of Mytholomon happened in time. THough his warning how the seasickness took a toll on his energy. It would of been worse if Amelie didn't offer a bag of cookies too for Mytholomon to munch on. Eager to accept any form of nourishment that wasn't the Swimmmon, the jungle cat tore the bag open and rummaged through the cookies freely. The cat looked like a street cat who piked anything he could eat as he tore the bag to shreds with his claws and teeth.
Zachary flinched at the quick downing of the food and turned to Amelie. "Thank you for that. Really," he said to her, smiling kindly in reply.
By the time Mytholomon finished, he had a careless 'beard' of cookie crumbs on his furry face that he lapped at with his tongue. Either way, as he recovered what energy he could, the giant cat realized his shield still required energy, of which he needed a moment to recover. At this point, if another assault came on the ship from above, he couldn't really defend them.
Despite the thrashing waters, Jaguamon used his wings to hover a bit-- flying just above the ship to soon see the three 'triangles' in the distance as the Ultraforce V-mon took point to confront the enemies. Luckily, Ryouta would be taking care of one of them. The trouble was what to do with the two under water. They could be going after the Swimmon or the ship and they couldn't do a thing.
"This is bad. Even in this form, I cannot use any attacks under water. If i use any big flame attacks, I risk cooking the Swimmon, or even setting the ship on fire." Mytholomon warned.
A sigh escaped Zachary as he tried to think. "Darn it... We are fighting blind here. There is nothing we can do till it shows up. " Zachary then turned to Amelie. "Do you know a way we can track or detect them? We can't risk attacking randomly or we will do more harm than good."
He hated this. He felt useless not being able to help at this point. True, Mytholomon was a powerful guardian beast, but never did they anticipate fighting enemies out in the middle of the ocean like this. Even the cards he had couldn't really penetrate the water without collateral damage. Even a lightning attack he had, would hurt the Swimmon if they were too close.
OOC: Mytholomon flies just overhead the ship, above the slick deck but below the sails and tries to keep to the air to see any trouble around the ship. Despite the warning of two incoming ememies-- Zachary and Mytholomon hesitate to attack. A blind attack even if used to 'muddy up ' the waters would possibly be a waste, would not penetrate the water due to him being a fiery digimon, or worse-- risk hitting the nearby Swimmon. Asks Amelie if she might have an idea to determine where they are so they don't fight blind.
Arcane Barrier-- 1/2 cooldown.

These Gesomon wouldn't make it any easier for them, wouldn't it? The bombardment wasn't enough; they also had to deal with the ocean becoming violent enough that steering the ship proved to be a liability on itself. They weren't taking it easy, were they? Hopefully, the seas would be kind enough to let Ryouta maneuver outside of any oncoming projectiles' range. The call? It had failed horribly; their group was on its own now, even though that was something that had been more or less a given for Amelie. They were here to prove their own worth, not to get babysat by some angel. At least they had gotten some good news; Valt's reconnaissance had proven to be pretty successful. "Three enemies total, and two heading towards the ship, huh? It seems like we're evenly matched." It was then when she finally left the wheel to Ryouta. A nod was given to Zachary, both in a gesture accepting his thanks and regarding the plan at hand. Did the brunette have an idea regarding what to do? Of Course she did. "I'll force those squids to surface. Make sure that no Swimmons are nearby as soon as possible; this is going to get pretty dangerous." With her D-Tector already firmly within her grip, and a series of fractal code rings swirling around her spare hand, repeating the same motions than before didn't prove too hard to do; sure, the stormy waters were definitely fiercer, but the digimon she was evolving into was no slouch either. Heraldmon dove into the water. Had the Gesomons arrived already? Were they within range? At the moment, those were rather big question marks. Good thing the aberration could prepare for their eventual arrival if they hadn't done so yet. Time to play the waiting game...
Turn recap! —Amelie dips into the sea while evolving to Heraldmon.
—Searches for Gesomon around the ship, if any.
—And uses Reality Shift, in conjunction with Volemic Ignition.
*Reality Shift: Instead of attacking for a post, Heraldmon can boost its awareness greatly. It can preemptively use an ability and unleash it as a counterattack with its damage increased by 50% against the next foe that would hit it with an attack. Keeping track of Ability stuff. —Stolen Memento becomes replaced by Assimilate. *Stolen Memento [Passive Ability]: This ability can be replaced by any passive ability this digimon has learned about. When this ability changes, it must remain active for at least three posts before being able to be changed again.
*Assimilate [Passive Ability]: This digimon gains perfect understanding of the effects of any attack that it would be subject of. It can use this knowledge to fuel some of its other abilities (notably, Surreal Memoir). Unfortunately, the Gesomon were too far under the water for Mythologomon to detect. While there had been ripples under the water by Valt, at this point they were submerged far too deeply to be seen with the naked eye. Fortunately, the naked eye wasn't the only resource the party had at their disposal. With Amelie commanding senses beyond the pale, she would sense two presences dwelling far beneath her. They didn't seem to be within range of her. In fact, the Gesomon swimming towards her rushed right past her position! It was only when they were directly beneath the ship that they changed their trajectory. The two Gesomon curved upwards, aiming to slam directly into the boat from beneath. The Gesomon closest to Amelie threw its whole body into a heedless charge, while the one further from her lingered somewhat behind. Instead of making direct contact, it would lash out with its tentacles to try and grab onto the deck.
In the Gesomon X's furor, it didn't even notice Valt's attack coming. The balls of lighting hit the oversized squid dead-on, causing it to howl in agony. Its tentacles stopped thrashing, too frozen up from the electrical discharge to even make impact. All three of its jaws split wide open, not even caring as seawater splashed down its throat. It faltered for a few seconds, then sunk beneath the depths. Was this all the Ocean King was capable of?
After a few seconds the Gesomon X resurfaced, its shrieks of pain giving way to a brutal roar. Its eye markings narrowed as it tried to focus on Valt's location. Smoke still rose from three large charred spots on its forehead, little embers seared between the cracks. After eyeing Valt up and down the Gesomon X sped away, slipping behind the nearest chunk of ice. In contrast to its animated thrashing beforehand, the sea monster had slowed down substantially. As it pulled its frozen cover closer to itself, its grip was weak and its tentacle trembled.
This weakness didn't mean that Gesomon X was out of the fight yet. As soon as it had gotten behind cover it poked its head out, a ball of rainbow energy building up in the back of its throat. Mere seconds after emerging Gesomon fired the energy in a wide beam, then ducked back behind the ice. The beam shimmered as if filled with glistening crystals, and the air around Valt would turn cold and misty as it approached.
Most importantly, the attack just didn't seem to be very forceful. Had Valt already wounded Gesomon X that badly?
Combat Log: The two regular dive deep into the water, bypassing Amelie and Mytholomon by sheer depth alone, before rising up to charge after the ship from below. The one close to Amelie aims to ram it, while the one further from her aims to grapple it. Gesomon X is directly hit and takes severe damage, retreating behind a column of ice to spare itself further pain. It then leans out from its makeshift cover to blast Valt with freezing energy. Aurora Beam - Gesomon X fires a beam of polarized energy directly at its target. As Valt is currently immune to debuffs, no further effects are known.

Oh, nice nice~ Look at it trashing like that! Of course what he must do is to pursue! Valt did not even wait for it to finish eyeing him up and down and began to nosedive, his wings tucked close to his body. The speed of the descent meant that he had no time to dodge the beam, and instead he tanked through it. Like a bullet, Valt goes headlong toward toward his target, streak of aurora colored laser separated around him. It would have looked beautiful, if it hadn't been so deadly. The Ulforce Vdramon X stopped right in front of the Gesomon X, with his V-shaped crest shining. He released the attack, hopefully enough for it to be a point blank range attack. One thing for sure though is he isn't aiming to kill at the moment. He wanted intel, and this guy better be conscious for it. He doesn't have much patience, especially not in condition like this. "You better surrender, there are more of that than you can imagine," Valt hissed toward the Gesomon X. "We want intel, and you best provide." Hopefully, back in the boat Ryouta is having better time... because seriously... By the way, the human is not having the best time of his life. He had to materialize out a light baton. Flimsy defense against what they have to fight, yeah, but even then, he's the only one without protection here.
Valt (Ultimate [Ulforce Vdramon X-Antibody]) Status: Veil + Regen (Negative Status Effect Immunity + Medium Regen) 3/3 [Passive] Adaptability: 3/5 (15% STR + SPD) Passives: Ultima Break (RAM UPGRADE GIGA): Toggleable, imbue a move with "Shield Breaker" property which includes breaking barrier, reflect and cancelling moves for that one move. three turns cooldown between activation
Adaptability III (RAM UPGRADE): This Digimon grows more and more attuned to battle each turn passed. 5% increase to strength and speed per turn, capped at 25%. If this Digimon does not attack for two consecutive turns, snared or silenced, the stack drops by 1.
ULFORCE (RAM UPGRADE): When this Digimon's health drops below 25% after an attack by opposing digimon, this Digimon's healing factor activated automatically and restore its health (moderately) and stamina (healing all active cooldown of this form by 2 turns), allowing it to fight for longer. Once per battle, and only one second wind can be triggered per battle.
Heroic Constitution EX: Toggleable. Upon hit by a direct targeting debuff (stats down, DoT, silence, snares, etc that directly applied upon hit rather than field effect) , this Digimon can choose to ignore it. 3 turns cooldown per activation.
Action: Tanks the attack, then use Shining V Force which is presumably at blank range Shining V Force: Valt can charge this technique to add 75% power per turn it's charged, capping at 225% extra. However, self stun when charging. Upon executing, launches an attack in form of laser from V-shape on his chest. Three turns cooldown. Cooldowns: Ulforce Activated: 0/3

While he was glad he could depend on his teammates-- it was uneasy to not know where their enemies were, and they were likely right below them, waiting to rip their ship apart if they wanted to. The sudden jolt of the boat made it clear that something had grabbed a hold of them. The boat jerked and made Zachary waver on the deck. Looking around, both he and Mytholomon kept an eye out. The two Gesomon would be around somewhere . Though while Amelie offered to use her abilities to help, which was appreciated-- things progressed sooner than later. While they were grappled by one-- one came towards her. Zachary saw the incoming white head of the ugly squid. " Starboard side! " Zachary shouted, warning Mytholomon. Despite the rain and inclement weather, Mytholomon turned his head-- spying the white digimon rushing towards them. A jaguar's growl came as he opened his maw-- a red light shining in his gullet. " RUBY ROAR!!" he howled and fires a powerful beam of crimson light from his mouth. The magical laser of light shot forward and towards the oncoming attacker. With the direct charge, the attack would not just injure it-- but also afflict its curse on the enemy, and lower its defense to make it more subjectable to the other's attacks. Now that they could see their enemies, it made putting up a better defense better. Also now, Mytholomon had the energy and time to recharge his barrier-- able to use to protect the others on the ship.
OOC: Used Ruby Roar and attacked the charging Gesomon. Also aware of the need for defense and Mytholomon's barrier will be ready next post . I got you covered Yuukz. Ruby Roar-- Releases a red-colored energy from his mouth with a roar. The impact causes damage and leaves the afflicted enemy with a curse that lowers their defenses by 50%. Curse lasts 2 posts. Curse cannot be reapplied till after 1 post, but the attack can still be used. Cooldown of 2 posts.

So far, so good; the enemies had been detected in a timely fashion, and that meant that both Heraldmon and Mytholomon could act accordingly to that situation. One thing was for sure, however; if those squids wanted to have a word with their ship, they'd be in a world of hurt for ignoring the two combatants and deciding to focus on the Diplomat. As of right now? Heraldmon focused on the one that was accelerating towards the hull; at plain sight, it seemed like that'd be the more violent approach out of the two, and thus, it had to be stopped the quickest. The aberration began to move in order to intercept it. Making sure to move after the panther's attack had run its course, electricity began to crackle around the digimon's body. Its intent? Quite simple; to damage the offending cephalopod as much as it could. It was true that the other Gesomon would pretty much had free reign to act for now, but Amelie reckoned this was the easiest way to deal with them; unless they had a trick under their slimy sleeves, fighting them two on one would result in them being overwhelmed in no time. At least that was the plan.
Turn recap! —Heraldmon attempts to intercept the Gesomon that is about to ram the ship, making sure to move in to act after Mytholomon's attack.
—If successful, uses Volemic Ignition on them.
*Volemic Ignition: Electricity courses through the digimon, ready to be discharged through 'hot spots' on its body. The charge burns so hot that unfortunate victims will begin to feel their blood boiling, dealing immense amounts of pain. Possesses short-range capabilities if the electricity arcs, otherwise it may be used in a direct attack. The charging Gesomon was in for a nasty surprise, but it was far too busy hurtling towards the ship to notice. Rather than the satisfying crunch of wooden hull, the Gesomon felt painful rays of energy biting into it. Its flesh, too, started to glow red, Mytholomon's curse causing the squid to start feeling woozy. In response it thrust its tentacles in front of it, pulling its body back to try and slow its charge.
A pity it couldn't slow down fast enough. The Gesomon careened right into Heraldmon, and promptly wished it hadn't. Electricity shot through its body, sending its tentacles spasming in every direction. What started as a roar of pain pitched higher and higher, until soon the Gesomon sounded less like a wounded animal and more like a broken tea kettle. Whereas before its flesh was seared red from Mytholomon's curse, now its flesh was glowing red from the severe electrical burn. Its thrashing started to slow as black smoke began to rise from its body, and after wobbling back and forth it flopped face-down unceremoniously. Data hadn't started to flow away from its body, but it sure didn't seem like it was in fighting condition.
The other Gesomon was far luckier. Unimpeded by either fighter, it coiled one long tentacle around the ship's mast and used its six lower tentacles to adhere onto its side. Once it was tethered it began pulling with all of its might, the mast straining and groaning with each tug. It held its free tentacle in a guarding position, prepared to smash away Ryouta, Amelie, or Mytholomon if they did anything to try and stop it. The Swimmon crowded a far distance from the attacking squid, nervously eyeing first one another and then the Gesomon. Occasionally one started swimming forward, but promptly circled back to the pack. Had they already lost their nerve?
Valt was a lot less hesitant about his attack. He wasted no time in beelining towards Gesomon X, powering through its beam while charging up one of his own. At this point their battle was a contest of pure might. Judging by how Valt didn't even seemed phased by Gesomon X's best shot, the contest was already over. The Shining V-Force smashed right through the ice and into Gesomon X, blasting him clean out of the water. Now in full view, it was clearly larger than any Gesomon Valt had seen before. Its body was also covered in several battle scars, the faded remnants of old cuts and bites faintly visible on its off-white flesh. Its tentacles flailed as it sailed through the air, and instead of diving back into the water it landed gracelessly onto its back. It writhed, trying to right itself, but each movement caused it to seethe.
As Valt demanded intel, the Gesomon spoke for the first time. "Surrender?" it gurgled. It laughed, but more out of confusion and fear than anything else. "You were the ones to invade the new domain of the Ocean King! And yet you have the gall to demand I surrender? Ha!" It coughed, ink and data sloughing out of its mouth. "Yet if you usurpers want your intel so badly, I'll gladly provide. These seas are cursed, and you'd best turn back while you still can."
Combat Log: Left Gesomon is flash fried, the efforts of Mytholomon's defensive debuff and Amelie's extra-painful attack compounding on one another. It isn't dead yet, but its hurting bad. Right Gesomon, unimpeded, grabs tightly onto the mast and tries to snap it off. Gesomon X, hurt badly by Valt's follow-up attack, seems all too content to talk rather than fight.

"Ocean King, smocheanking," Valt sassed, the V-Sabre still brandished at the Gesomon X's general direction "not that I cared that sort of thing. I assume you operate with survival of the fittest as the basic rule... so basically, I bested you, therefore you'll cede to my demands, right? I will not take your life, nor I'll take your title as long as you follow my words. In fact, we might as well patch you up. Call back your minions for the meantime before they get turned into ikayaki," he would say.
Then Valt took off his transciever and hold it in front of the Gesomon for him to talk through.
"Valt here, I defeated the Ocean King. He will give us intel, For everyone, cease attack. If those squids are trying to do anything funny, immediately detain! Now it's your turn, say it before it's too late."
Anyway should he complies, Valt will next say his demands. "First, there are victims of your attack following us. You're not to harm them at any cost. Two, your intels will be used to help us find the source of all these problems, and with that the curse of the sea will be lifted. Three... we'll listen to your interest, and as long as it still aligns with what we believe would be fair for us to partake, we'll try to help you in return for you ceding to our goal of lifting curse from this sea. Four: further demands are to be discussed on the boat, but you may raise your points as long as we demands it to be fair. Is that clear?"
Valt has ceased his attack, but still cautious on the Gesomon X. Valt demanded surrender, but at the same time also promised that Gesomon X will get something as long as it's reasonable from this. He also offered to patch them up as long as they don't fight.

The first attack on the Gesomon was a well placed shot and the combined efforts of Mytholomon and Heraldmon were able to fend off the charge. The giant squid was now prone in the water, smoking and weakened from their efforts. However, the boat jerking made them realize the more dangerous thing they overlooked. Zachary tumbled to the deck as he saw the Gesomon's tentacles start to reach up and grab onto the mast. Using his other tentacles, not only was he preventing the others from advancing to stop it-- but it now was tugging to risk splitting the mast in two.
"It's trying to tear down the sails!" Mytholomon roared over the stormy rain.
Staggering back to his feet, Zachary grasped his Digivice-- and a card with a Zephyrmon on it. "Oh--hell no!"
With the card in hand and his Digivice in the other, he brought the two together and slashed it through. The digivice flashed with light and energy as he slashed the card through, passing its data to his partner. "Digi-modify! Zephyrmon's Hurricane Gale-- Activate!! " he shouted.
Mytholomon dropped to the deck in front of the Gesomon's and his body shifted and flickered with the new data. With a Jaguar's cry, he raised his flaming wings and gathered the energy to them. "Hurricane Gale!!" he roared and threw his wings forward with a mighty flap.
The power of the card surged in the form of a powerful, razor-sharp wind funnel that blew forward towards the tentacles of the Gesomon. Angled the way it was, the fierce wind would blow right across the deck with the 'feathers' from Mytholomon's wings, and the fierce slicing of the winds themselves. With luck, the shred of the intense wind attack would slice at the Gesomon's tentacles, both the one used to guard and the ones trying to snap the mast in half.
If nothing else, no way the Gesomon would easily keep trying to reach up onto the deck with something so sharp slicing at its limbs.
OOC Notes: WIth one target down, the other tries to damage the ship irreparably. Zachary uses one of his cards to power up his Digimon using Zephyrmon's Hurricane Gale with Mytholomon's existing wings. Using the wide wind and feather attack to try and slice at the Gesomon's tentacles to repel or at most cut at them to detere their attempt on the ship.
WG-13 Zephyrmon Type: Digimon Rank: Gold Duration: 1 Post Plasma Paws: The target Digimon's hands glow bright red, slicing harshly through armor. Hurricane Gale: The target Digimon sprouts wings, raining razor-sharp feathers down on their foe.

So far, so good. Both Mytholomon's and Heraldmon's attacks had been effective against the first Gesomon, and while the other had successfully made contact with the boat, at least Amelie could be sure regarding measures being taken by Zachary to stop him before too much damage could be caused.
What about her, then? While the first Gesomon had received a pair of attacks, it was on her to make sure that he wouldn't be an annoyance anymore. Sure, it was weakened, but there was no way to know what kind of aces under their sleeves these monster could have. What if they ended casually jogressing with each other, or worse? It was a chance that the brunette preferred to avoid, at least for now. It was true that the mast was an important part of the ship, and getting it broken would cripple the diplomat, but ensuring that no strange shenanigans would ensue if they left an enemy alive would happen was probably the best course of action.
The gap was closed in an instant, and another, more concentrated surge of electricity was discharged from the abomination's limbs. Would it be enough to delete the Gesomon? Probably not, but this would definitely leave him out of position/combat.
Once that goal was ensured, Heraldmon would begin advanced towards the other Gesomon's position. Would the squid be ready for a nasty surprise? Time to find out.

As Amelie looked towards the injured Gesomon, its disposition was all too quick to change. It threw its tentacles up in absolution, hoping that the currents of the water and its weakly undulating tentacles would carry it away from the Heraldmon before she could attack again. Unfortunately, she was far too deadly in her efficiency to care about such a submissive gesture. She zipped towards him as quick as a lightning bolt. It was an easy comparison to make, considering that lightning pierced Gesomon's body mere seconds later. Compared to the dramatic convulsions from earlier, this attack's effect was far more subtle. The Gesomon froze up rigidly, then began unfurling into messy clumps of data. The clumps scattered throughout the waters, each drifting off in a different direction. Needless to say, that Gesomon wasn't coming back.
The other Gesomon clung tightly to the mast, but before it could snap it in two Zachary had sprung into action. Blades of wind shot from Mytholomon's wings, severing Gesomon's tentacle clearly at the base. Unlike its brother in arms, this Gesomon was a lot more willing to cut its losses. It promptly dove beneath the waves, abandoning both its tentacle and its plan of attack. The trail of data it left in its wake would make its location obvious to any more bloodthirsty Digimon, but if Amelie and Zachary wanted to play more defensively this fight may have been over.
Unfortunately, while the wind succeeded at disarming Gesomon, it made staying the course a lot harder for the Diplomat. The wind from Mytholomon's attack sent the Diplomat spinning in circles, and the rigging keeping the sail held firm started to go slack. The wheel creaked as it spun freely, fighting against any efforts made to straighten it again. If the Diplomat continued at this rate, it would surely end up drifting in the wrong direction. And that was assuming the sails would even hold up against the heavy winds: who knew what kind of damage they'd endure at this rate?
The Ocean King didn't know about the blows dealt and sustained by his subordinates, and he didn't seem to care. He simply spat ink into the waters at Valt's demands. "You talking about the small fry?" he asked. "Prideful little bastards. Came to them looking for a place to stay, and they just laughed in my damn face. Should've gobbled 'em up to a man when I had the chance. But getting a home's more important than getting revenge."
Nevertheless, with Valt staring him down at swordpoint, the Ocean King knew when to fold them. He grumbled, but put his tentacles up behind his head to show deference. "Take me to your vessel. We'll talk more there," he grumbled. "Then I can warn your whole damn crew what fools you are."

"Hmh," Valt huffed. He retracted his blade back quickly. "We might be insane, but if it's not us then who else? Enough with this, come now, you first."
The Ulforce Vdramon guided the Gesomon X to the boat. He stared hard at the distance... and his eyes widened when he saw that the ship is practically running out of control. He doesn't see any Gesomon, nor the fact that their sail headed reverse to where it supposed to be (a sign that there are physical pulling down there)... but the fact that the sail seem to blown by wind stronger than the storm itself is telling that someone had the bright idea to use wind card in this storm.. Who is not the question, but why is the question.
At the same time, Ryouta is having hard time stabilizing the ship. Even with his caliber of strength, he could feel that the wheel either going to snap first from the axle or his arm first. He had no choice but to let it go before any of those happened.
Who had the fucking sane mind to use a fucking wind card at a fucking sail and mast, in a fucking storm just to fucking cut tentacles? Shutumon of all thing? Kami have mercy, because he seriously does not have any of that. Could have blasted some fire instead, but nooo, sharp things...
"GODDAMMIT ALL, WHERE DID YOUR LOGIC JUST FLEW OFF TO YOU BLOODY IDIOTS!!" Ryouta roared. All the trace of his professionalism immediately flew out of the gate. Fuck pleasantries, he got no time for that. Especially not after the lack of logic. Griping on his D-Nexus, Ryouta tapped on his card holder and pulled a card out.
He's not sure that this will work considering it said it doesn't erase current weather effect,, but goddamn... he's at loss here. Ryouta quickly slashed the card down on the D-Nexus' card reader.
"Authorize : Final Destination" the device declared.
Turn Recap: Valt leads the Gesomon X to the ship. Ryouta slashed Final Destination in hope of killing Zachary's mistake of using wind card on the sail. For one he's not sure that it'll work, but hopefully it will... Otherwise he had no idea how to stop this madness.

The card Zachary used to try and save the ship did a good job to sever all the tentacles that were trying to tear down the mast. For that, he was grateful that his one move removed all tentacles from the ship... but it seemed his maneuver had a downside as the resulting gust caused the sails to give extra wind and caused them to spin.
"WHOOOAH!!" Zachary cried as he was flung forward down the deck of the ship, the slick waters causing him to slide easily as he fell. He clung on to one of the stairs that led up to the helm and saw how the need to stabilize the wheel was, he climbed up from the floor to help.
Mytholomon too reeled as he used his claws to dig into the wood and keep from slipping while the ship and sails creaked from the winds.
Zachary reached the top but soon got an earful from Ryouta yelling at him, especially calling him and Mytholomon IDIOTS. "EXCUSE ME?!" Zachary shouted.
Despite his anger, he kept near the wheel to try and help if he could. Ryouta let go of the wheel so as it wouldn't strain further, but still to let it go was really the right idea? So instead, Zachary just shouted back at him.
" The Gesomon was trying to snap the mast in half!! What was I gonna do, twiddle my thumbs or let Mytholomon set the ship on fire with a Firestorm attack?! " he argued. "At least I stopped it or we really would have been screwed without a mast, YOU JERK!! "
He could only hope the ship would hold up. Perhaps Heraldmon could somehow aid in steadying the ship too.
OOC Notes: Skids across deck for a moment as ship goes out of control. Once regaining footing, Zachary rushes to the Mast-- and while verbally biting Ryouta's head off, tries to stay near the helm in case the wheel needed guidance but grabbing it would cause problems. -- all the while still pissed off at him. Probably bigger fight when they are back to safety.

Heraldmon was —for the lack of a better word— completely oblivious to what was happening above the waterline. It just knew that any and all temporary threats had been dealt with, even at the cost of the Diplomat seemingly going wild, its course literally spiraling out of control. Guess that had to be taken care of as well...
The perfect-level grew, easily becoming as big—if not bigger than the ship. Using all its appendages and tendrils, it tried to stabilize the ship in an attempt to prevent it from further getting out of control. Would that work? Considering how wild the Diplomat was moving, it was a bit hard to tell, but at least somebody was making a conscious effort to get it under control.
Once/if the ship regained stability, and after shrinking back to normal, Heraldmon would climb back to the deck, devolving as soon as it reached it. What would Amy find atop the deck? An argument of all things. W e l p.
Her expression hardened in an instant as she addressed the males. "If you two have an issue, you can resolve it as soon as this mission is over." She barked. Her disposition was logically not the best. "Or abandon this mission right now and solve it right away. If my crew is going to drag me down with senseless arguments, I'd rather not have one. Is that clear?"
She was so not in the mood for this kind of crap from her allies. They better behave, both for their sakes and the mission's. Heraldmon used Super Particle Accelerator to grow considerably and help stabilize the ship. No other noteworthy combat actions were taken.

By now the card's windstorm effect was dying down, but the waves were still churning, pounding, and whipping themselves into a frenzy. With that in mind, the Final Destination card was a brilliant idea on Ryouta's part. What could have turned into a ship-wrecking disaster was averted, the Ryouta swiping just as a large wave surged up from the depths. The card's effect washed over the waters, the incoming wave becoming harmless sea spray against the side of the hull. Only harmless ripples were left behind.
The Ocean King missed the initial kerfluffle, but he swam up right in time for the argument. It sat back and enjoyed the show, resting what seemed to be its chin between its suction cups. "This is your crew?" he asked, turning to Valt. "Oh, the Sea-Witch will have fun with these ones. There's still time to turn back!" He laughed, but upon remembering how outclassed he was compared to Valt decided that hushing up was a much better idea.
At least once Amelie burst from the waters to lay down the law, some of the Ocean King's faith was restored. He nodded in approval as she shut the argument down, then swam up to the ship in earnest. "Well, you wanted me, you got me," he said, addressing the trio of humans. "That's right. I'm the Ocean King."
As soon as he announced his name, the Swimmon shrieked in unison. They broke ranks and swam behind the ship, shivering in fear. That got a scratchy belly laugh out of the Ocean King. "Ah, don't worry. Much as I'd love to eat you little punks, I'm pretty sure this guy'd kill me if I looked at you funny." He sighed, keeping his tentacles up to avoid being attacked by any trigger-happy members of the group. "No, no, I'm here to help.
Now. I'm gonna be honest with you all. You go forward, you're not going to stand a chance," he said, easing himself back into the waters. He swam in circles around the ship, eyeing it up and down. With each pass he made, the Swimmon followed, trying their hardest to keep out of his vision. "A sea witch lurks these waters. I haven't seen her, but I've heard her. She whispers threats that blow along in with the tides. Your wealth, your home, your power, even your very peace of mind . . . she seeks to add them all to her domain. The air goes cold where she spreads her whispers, and her heralds roam the seas to bring storms within their wake.
I ignored her. Called her a fool, a liar, even a coward. And then." He paused, drumming his tentacles against the deck of the ship. "Well, I'm here now, aren't I?"
