“So much for getting a better view…” Yuko grumbled as she watched the gigantic dome of cards in the distance, which blocked their view of the combatants inside. She quickly browsed through her Digivice’s main menu to activate the Human-Digimon Communication add-on (Which she totally already had. Her writer totally didn’t purchase it on the fly, no sir!) and contact her partner. “Hey, Jokah! Care to explain what the hell this is?!”“What, have you never seen a Digimon create an elaborate structure out of thin air before?” Came the clown’s nonchalant reply. “As a matter of fact, I haven’t!”“It’s a parlor trick, one of many you shall witness today. Don’t worry about it.”“Well, in any case, stay on the line so that I know where you are.”Of course, Piedmon knew all about Arlecchimon’s Palace of Cards, how despite all its grandiosity and splendor, everything in that space was merely an illusion. But where would the fun be in spoiling the illusion for Yuko? The Hellish Clown calmly walked into the marvelous castle through its front gate, glancing around for any faint traces of his harlequin friend. “I must admit, it’s a splendid scenery indeed! Although, I can make it even better. I’m sure you won’t mind some slight renovations from little old me~ Masks Square!” He playfully said, clicking his fingers once. A massive, iridescent wireframe spread around the field, encasing it in the shape of a dome not unlike the one made of cards seen earlier. It covered the entire castle - its walls and its insides - the courtyard outside and even the trees. A bunch of holographic, smiling masks flashed into view, before turning invisible to the naked eye, as Piedmon’s signature Masks Square fully integrated itself into the environment. With that, the clown kept exploring the castle, waiting for his opponent’s next move. OOC Notes: - Yuko is able to communicate with Piedmon via her Human-Digimon Comm. - Piedmon overlays Arlecchimon’s Palace of Cards with his Masks Square. - He walks inside the castle, waiting for his opponent’s next move. Arlecchimon's chuckle would echo about the scenery; the presently-hidden harlequin appearing to be amused at Joker's comments. "Something tells me that masks do not exactly fit in, in an environment like this, Joker darling... But you always were the one for making the bold choices in decor, weren't you?" She'd tease gently - her voice continuing to have no single source about them. "I won't complain, however; this is our courtyard, to do with as we please - even if I am the one pulling the strings here - is it not? Instead..."
From seemingly nowhere, there would come a sudden barrage of cards..! They, at first glance, would look to be ordinary playing cards; though Joker would likely be quite aware of just how razor-sharp they could become in Arlecchimon's hands, when she used her Dealer attack! The cards would appear to be coming from somewhere behind Joker; and if he were to look behind him...
... He would indeed see Arlecchimon, perched atop the fountain! "... Instead, why not worry about watching your back, dear~?" She would hop backwards from the fountain; seeming to be putting distance between them, and perhaps hoping to meld in amongst the illusions once more. If she was allowed to get away, it was likely that Joker would end up on another goose hunt; but otherwise? This was likely Joker's chance, to stage a counter-attack...!
- Arlecchimon reveals herself for long enough to use Dealer, before attempting to conceal herself amongst the illusions once more..!
Move Used: [ATTACK] Dealer: Arlecchimon takes a deck of ordinary-seeming cards, and throws the cards at her foes one by one in a razor-sharp flurry! She can either freely aim all of her cards at a single foe, or split the cards between multiple foes up to a maximum of 3! [2 Turn Cooldown]

“Well, I think it fits perfectly!” Piedmon said in response to Arlecchimon’s critique of his improvised decor, placing his hand against his chest all offended like. “I wear a mask, you wear a mask, now everyone can wear a mask! You brought the venue, and I brought the masquerade!” The devilish jester rambled on, in reality biding their times so that he could spot where his adversary was hiding. Granted, it was hard to discern such a thing when her voice was coming from everywhere at once. That fact changed when the harlequin temporarily revealed herself to attack Jokah from behind with her signature Dealer attack. Having expected a surprise attack of some kind, he quickly turned around, and while the first few cards grazed his shoulder for some cheap damage, he reacted quickly to the rest. “That’s MY line, dear!” The Clown Prince replied, willing the stream of flying cards to disappear with a mere clicking of his fingers. The cards reappeared directly behind the revealed Arlecchimon, keeping their momentum from when she had thrown them, only now she was the target of her own attack! “In the words of some of the greatest comedians, stop hitting yourself! Stop hitting yourself! Bahahahaha!” With an obnoxious laughter, Piedmon jumped on top of the fountain himself, taking this chance of his opponent being distracted to unleash his counter-attack. “Ooooh, I love the view from up here! The only thing it lacks is some fireworks! Toy Wonderness!”Like before, roaring winds assaulted the battlefield, and the exploding Monzaemon and Waru Monzaemon plushies came back with a vengeance. Would Arlecchimon be able to avoid all of them as they headed towards her? One also had to wonder if the explosions could also damage this illusory environment, exposing it for the farce that it was. Either way, it would make for one hell of a show! OOC Notes: - Piedmon receives minor damage from the beginning of the Dealer attack, then uses Masks Square’s power to teleport the stream of flying cards directly behind a revealed Arlecchimon, attempting to hit her with her own attack! - In the confusion, he jumps on top of the fountain and attacks Arlecchimon with his own Toy Wonderness, hoping to damage her as well as the environment. Passives: Old Timer's Knowledge [Passive]: Upon meeting a new Digimon - except those of the "Unknown" family and beings that aren't really Digimon - he can figure out its Species, Attribute, Family and Type. Move used: Toy Wonderness [Attack]: Creates powerful gusts of wind with a swipe of his hand, sweeping up toys that explode upon coming to contact with an opponent. Those hit by the explosions have their accuracy lowered for 2 turns. Has a 4 turn cooldown.

Arlecchimon's laughter would fill the air, in response to Joker's retort over the masks; visibly amused. The laughter didn't seem to be malicious, though; being actually quite lighthearted in tone. "Ah, do forgive my lapse in judgement, then," She'd call back; a playful tone to her voice, as though the two were simply bantering like the friends they were. "Let there be masks for all, then; but let no mask be as great as ours!"
Just as the Piedmon expected the surprise attack, though... It seemed that Arlecchimon had expected Joker to try and put his Masks Square to good use! Between her Dealer attack being redirected at her, as well as the whirling winds of Toy Wonderness, it certainly seemed that she was in between a rock and a hard place, and yet...
... As the toys and cards both were about to make contact with her, Arlecchimon would - seemingly - disappear..! Bursting into a flurry of cards that scattered about the place, it seemed that Arlecchimon's Sleight ability would save her from being riddled with sharp cards and explosions; Dealer and Toy Wonderness both more or less cancelling each other out, as cards and toys both made contact with each other...!
Whereas Arlecchimon was able to avoid the damage, however, the surrounding environment wasn't so lucky. It might've been all an illusion, but it certainly reacted as though it were real; the birds and other critters that wandered the courtyard scattering amidst the fighting, leaves and petals being torn and whipped about by the roaring winds, and the explosions scorching the trees and grass. "Such a shame," Arlecchimon's voice would tsk in false disappointment from all about Piedmon once more; the cards that she had burst into having disappeared from sight in all of the chaos. "After I went through all the trouble of making us a nice environment, too!"
"Ah well... I suppose we can always fix things up a little."
A snap of her fingers, and the scenery around Joker would begin to shift and change; swirling about him in an almost disorienting and motion sickness-inducing fashion. As things settled back into place, though... He'd no longer be in an open courtyard, now standing in the middle of a wide and open throne room; floors of marble with a gold and red carpet, and the walls sturdy stone bricks, with torches set in sconces for lighting. Masks and tapestries decorated the walls and pillars, and at the far back of the throne room, there would even be a pair of thrones; Arlecchimon casually lounging in one of them, as the cards that she had burst into would gather to reform her.
"My darling King;" Arlecchimon began; her tone warm and inviting, almost affectionate even. "What are you going to pull off next, hmm~?"
- Arlecchimon uses Sleight to dodge both her redirected Dealer, and Toys Wonderness; both attacks colliding and canceling eachother out - The scenery of the Palace of Cards changes from a courtyard, into a throneroom.
Move Used: [ABILITY] Sleight: Arlecchimon bursts into cards, teleporting to another location within sight. This move may be used alongside an attacking move; but doing so increases both Sleight and the attacking move's cooldown by 1 turn, and it cannot be done alongside a once-per-thread attack. [3 Turn Cooldown]
Effects: Palace of Cards; 2/5 Turns - -10% Evasion to Enemies

Piedmon gritted his teeth in annoyance as his fellow, society-dwelling clown used her Sleight ability to teleport out of harm’s way. “Boo! Boo, I say! Teleportation is MY schtick!” The series of explosions triggered by his own Toy Wonderness attack still managed to harm the environment - illusory as it was - forcing Arlecchimon to patch it up with a quick change of scenery, but not before gently scolding her peer for ruining the sweet scenery. “What can I say! The old environment was a bit too fairytale-esque for my liking…”A gothic-architecture throne room with torches and decorative masks lining up the walls seemed to fit this clown’s particular tastes much more, as evidenced by his smile returning. “Ah, yes. This is much better. I’d even go as far as calling it fabulous!”“Jokah, is everything alright there? I heard explosions.” Yuko’s worried voice sounded from the Human-Digimon Comm. “It’s a battle between Mega-level Digimon, darling. Explosions are par for the course!” Piedmon casually replied to her, as he outstretched his arm, pointing his finger towards Arlecchimon. “I’ll need you to use a Card. I’m thinking… Renamon. Yes, Renamon would work.”Being unable to see much of anything, Yuko wasn’t sure what her partner was planning to do, but she trusted his judgement. Thus, she pulled the right Card out of her deck and swiped it through her customized D-Arc. “Digi-Modify! Renamon’s Kohenkyo, activate!”“Ending Snipe!” Piedmon shouted at the same time, firing an attack of his own in the form of a nigh unavoidable blast of energy that aimed itself straight at Arlecchimon’s Digi-Core. The borrowed power of Renamon’s Kohenkyo then caused his body to vanish into a swirl of wind, reappearing directly above the female harlequin. “Have you ever heard the tragedy of Damocles? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!” The Hellish Clown roared with his signature, mentally disturbing laughter, as he descended upon his opponent, holding one of his swords downwards for a basic stabbing attack! OOC Notes: - Piedmon tells Yuko over the Human-Digimon Comm. to use the Renamon Card. - He fires his Ending Snipe, targeting Arlecchimon’s Digi-Core. At the same time, Renamon’s Kohenkyo allows him to teleport directly above her. - He descends on Arlecchimon with one of his swords held downwards for a basic stabbing attack. "Dear, I think that we both have a good few shared schticks." Arlecchimon's voice would simply point out with amusement, a soft chuckle echoing in the environment. "It's only natural, given our forms! But at least I make my teleportation stylish," It was almost like this wasn't a serious fight, but more a playful spar between old friends, the way Arlecchimon was bouncing off of and bantering with Joker; on top of the casual and amused air about the way she spoke. Perhaps, to an outside audience looking in, no one would realize the fight for what it truly was.
Arlecchimon, perhaps, took comfort in believing this fight to be only that; despite the fact that she knew otherwise.
As Joker fired off his Ending Snipe, Arlecchimon's card-arms would brace themselves on the throne she sat upon; using them to launch herself up and over the Piedmon. Though her central body was small - the same size as her rookie form, even - her four card-arms had enough strength to make up for it all. Of course, though; the homing properties of the Ending Snipe were not to be underestimated - Arlecchimon knew that much. The attack would still be able to strike her, albeit in a bit of a glancing blow thanks to her quick reactions - the magical blast searing into her hip and eliciting a brief hiss from her. What it had in accuracy, it lacked in power, thankfully; though being struck by it still hurt.
She, too, would notice the fact that Joker had disappeared in whirling winds; an ability that she did not recognize, given that it was based off of a card. Perhaps, she was beginning to see why Joker allowed himself to rely upon a human; given the benefits that Yuko was offering him, even when separated from her. "Interesting," She'd muse briefly; glancing around to gauge where he had disappeared off to. Assuming that this was anything like his typical Masks Square, it was likely he could be anywhere in the vicinity...
... Including, right above her. Joker's voice would alert her near-immediately, the harlequin glancing upwards to see the Hellish Clown with sword in hand, aiming to stab her from above. The supernatural qualities of his laughter would seemingly make her wince - though her face was hidden, it was likely that Joker would be able to spot the way that she'd (for the briefest, shortest moment) flinch and tense. However, this did not cow Arlecchimon. In fact...
... She'd argue that this was playing into her hands, without either of them even realizing it until now; Arlecchimon having not planned for Joker to attempt getting so close to her...!
"It is a relief, then; that I am not a king, but a queen, no?" She'd muse, her card-arms readied, as they shot up to snatch at Joker. "You, however..." Whether Joker would remain grappled remained to be seen; though she was able to, at least, stop the sword from sinking in too deeply. Assuming that she could keep a grip on him however, she would grab at his hair and shoulders; attempting to hold him still, and keep him from turning his head away. "... You shouldn't be so confident, in getting this close to me... Down."
Thru the mask, Arlecchimon attempted to stare deeply into Joker's eyes; her own glowing a bright red from behind the mask, eerily similar to the red of the energy she used to strike and reign in her beasts from when they first ran into eachother on the ridge. Assuming that all was successful, it would be like a painful shock to the system; Arlecchimon attacking Joker not on a physical level, but a mental - his own will to keep fighting being chipped away at by the psychic attack of an outside force. Perhaps a bit of a cruel attack, for Arlecchimon; but she had to keep her pets in line, somehow. How would the Hellish Clown react to this, then...?
- Arlecchimon is struck in a glancing blow by Ending Snipe. - She, additionally, catches Joker to prevent the sword from his basic attack from sinking in too deeply; attempting to grapple him in the process. - Finally, she uses Down, to attack Joker on a mental level.
Move Used: [ATTACK] Down: Stating the move's name like a firm command, Arlecchimon attacks her target not on a physical level, but a mental level; aiming to break their will. It is a psychic-based attack that can either be done in melee range by looking them in the eye, or by channeling it through the chain (with increased accuracy) if her target is under the effect of Suits and Chains. [3 Turn Cooldown]
Effects: Palace of Cards; 3/5 Turns - -10% Evasion to Enemies
Cooldowns: Palace of Cards; Once Per Thread Dealer; 2/3 Sleight; 1/4 Down: 0/3

The self-proclaimed Demon King let out a highly undignified, high-pitched, girly cry as Arlecchimon’s comically oversized hands did successfully grasp him. “Eeeeeek! There’s no reason to get this physical! Whatever happened to keeping things family-friendly?!” He protested, but there was surprisingly little he could do to escape his opponent’s artificial clutches, as she grabbed his shoulders and his gorgeous, flame-colored hair, keeping him fairly still. Enough so for the female harlequin to mentally attack him with her hypnotic stare. Now, Piedmon could handle most, if not all forms of magic, but psychic abilities that directly affected the mind were a different beast. The restrained clown grunted in pain, as he crumbled to his knees and hands like a good dog. “Gaaaaah! Y-Yuko… I’m sorry…” Was all he managed to say in his sorry state. “Don’t you sorry me, mister!” Yuko’s voice sounded from the Human-Digimon Comm. “When you were about to be torn to pieces by Raiodramon, you still gave me a speech about following my dreams! And now you’re just admitting defeat without having anything to say about it? No lame jokes? No cheesy one-liners? No bad puns? What kind of Demon King apologizes?!”Yuko’s words, while blunt, came straight from the heart, and they struck a chord with the downed Demon King, whose pained expression turned into a sly, albeit weak smile. “You make a compelling argument, Yuko…” He then directed that same smile to his opponent, who was still trying to keep him in place. “You know, Arlecchi-chan, you never were much of a physical fighter… If you were, you would’ve used a crushing attack to end me right here, instead of trying to play mind games with me.”Having found his confidence again, Piedmon employed the teleportation powers of his Masks Square to slip out of Arlecchimon’s grasp. He reappeared several feet behind her, having learned his lesson of not getting too close to her. Since their eyes were no longer locked, he was able to fully regain his senses, and retaliated to his opponent’s offense with his own signature attack. “Trump Sword!” He hurled the sword in his hand, as well as the three other swords from his back, aiming them all at Arlecchimon’s artificial limbs, perhaps trying to capitalize on a brief moment of surprise in order to disarm his opponent (pun intended). OOC Notes: - Piedmon is successfully grabbed by Arlecchimon and affected by her “Down” ability. - However, the bond he shares with his Tamer snaps him out of it enough to teleport out of Arlecchimon’s grasp via his Masks Square. - No longer making eye contact, he attacks Arlecchimon with his Trump Sword, aiming to impale her four artificial limbs. Given Joker being above Arlecchimon, he would collapse against her as he crumbled; the harlequin carefully holding him up in her arms, as she gently eased him down to the ground. "Oh, Joker..." She'd sigh softly, her voice tinged with sympathy; and perhaps, if Joker were paying attention, he'd even be able to notice that same sympathy - and a hint of sadness - in her own eyes past the mask.
She did not demean him, nor did she treat him like a pet, or taunt or gloat at him.
Instead, a hand would run down his back in a gentle, soothing, and perhaps even affectionate touch as she relaxed; her guard still somewhat up, but the tension otherwise seeming to leak out of her body. The clawed tips of the hand that had gripped his hair would now be combing through it instead, fixing his hair as she spoke soothingly to him - a genuine kindness to her voice, on top of the tenderness that she treated him with. "There you go... Just relax, darling..." She'd coo gently; kneeling down before him, so that she could cup his cheek with her real hand - the thumb gently stroking against his cheek, back and forth. "I'm sorry if that was a bit much - I sometimes forget how strong of an effect it has, when I'm not holding back - but it's over now... You've fought well, dear; and I'm sure you'll fight well another time, when you've gotten stronger. So just rest for now, darling. It's okay."
Was this Arlecchimon, showing some of her true colors towards him..?
Either way, this moment would allow Joker to easily slip away via Masks Square; Arlecchimon falling quiet as she watched him disappear, before letting out another soft sigh. She'd stand up, readjust her mask, and take a deep breath; as though she were preparing herself to fall back into her usual playful act. "I imagine it's a relief, then, that you were able to fight me of all people, hm?" She'd chuckle to Joker, her humorous and playful air quickly but gradually returning to her; acting as though the previous moment of tenderness and kindness never happened at all. "It seems that now you're the one playing the elusive game now, though..."
Hearing Joker's voice from behind, Arlecchimon was quick to whirl around to face him; though she wasn't quite fast enough, to avoid his attacks. In attempting to dodge, not all of Joker's swords would hit their intended mark; though they would hit her nonetheless. One sword would stab into her shoulder, eliciting a sharp grunt of pain from her. Another would strike the card-portion of one of her artificial arms - but wasn't quite able to pin it separate it from her. The last two, however, would pin one of her arms to the ground; leaving the arm briefly twitching like a dying snake.
She'd still have her remaining 3 arms to work with, however; and work she did. Two of the three arms would work at pulling out the two swords that were in her shoulder, and her unpinned arm. "A clever idea... " She'd begin - grunting a bit more softly as the swords were pulled out "... Though I'd argue one that's not exactly worth your time. I can always attack in other fashions, after all..~" Almost as though on cue, her shadow - cast by the many torches in the throne room - would begin to shift and move, flickering on its own...
... Until it began to, suddenly, shoot towards Joker - traveling along the ground...?! It was now acting independently of Arlecchimon's body from a use of her Shadow Trick - and once her shadow reached him, it would attempt to claw at Joker's shadow with its own artificial arms..! Assuming that Joker was unable to dodge, he would feel the sensation - and even gain the claw marks - as though he were the one truly being attacked, as the shadow's claws sunk into his own shadow..!
- Arlecchimon is struck by Trump Sword; though only one arm is pinned. - In response, Arlecchimon uses Shadow Trick; her own shadow coming to life, to attack Joker's shadow..!
Move Used: [ABILITY] Shadow Trick: Arlecchimon's shadow briefly comes to life; attacking enemies through not their physical bodies, but their shadows! Arlecchimon's shadow acts independently of her body, travelling across the ground and walls and attacking at 50% the strength of a named attack once per turn. A triumphant smile graced Piedmon’s face as his Trump Sword found its target, one sword impaling Arlecchimon’s shoulder, another slicing through one of her artificial arms, while the remaining two pinned another arm to the ground. His mouth quickly turned into a straight line, the pain of a creature who was once his dearest friend eliciting from him a look akin to pity. “To think that it would come to this… There were simpler times. Back then, a little Dracmon and a little Paglimon became friends, sharing a wish to shake up the world that misunderstood them. They created so many pleasant memories together…” Perhaps it was Arlecchimon’s earlier display of affection that got Jokah to drop his own facade for a moment, showing a more genuine side of him. However, that moment couldn’t last long. Their fight had to go on. The female harlequin brought her own shadow to life via her Shadow Trick, ordering it to attack the still standing clown. Piedmon’s eyes widened, only having the time to utter two words. “Clown Trick!” Yet, whatever ‘trick’ he tried to do seemingly failed, the clown screaming in agony as his opponent’s shadow mauled his own. “Oh, the pain! Oh nooooooo!! NOOOOOOOOO!!!”Or did it? “Juuuuust kidding~!” Piedmon now stood completely still, not even his mouth moving as he talked. It wasn’t the real Piedmon, but a life-sized cardboard cutout that the shadow had attacked! Said cutout fell down with a comical plop, before poofing out of existence. This was his Clown Trick at work, an illusion technique so refined, it could even fool a fellow illusion tactician like Arlecchimon, manipulating the lightning in the room and the positioning of their forms to make it appear as if the cutout’s shadow was his own. As for the real Piedmon? He lunged at Arlecchimon from her blind spot, brandishing one of his swords, as he attempted to slash off her one artificial arm that was pinned to the ground. “Sometimes all you can do is laugh! Bahahahahahaha!!” It was essentially a hit-and-run attack, since he couldn’t afford to get too close to the reach of his opponent’s other arms. The Hellish Clown would quickly gain his distance again. OOC Notes: - Piedmon uses Clown Trick to make it appear as if Arlecchimon’s shadow attacked him, when in reality it attacked an illusory, fake copy of him. - The real Piedmon then lunges at Arlecchimon from her blind spot, attempting to cut off her pinned arm with a hit-and-run, basic sword slash attack. Arlecchimon casually wiped away the liquid data that welled up from her shoulder, soaking into her clothing, as Joker spoke. Though she appeared to be peering down at her wounds, Joker might still be able to feel her gaze upon him; as though she were watching him out of the corner of her eyes. "... It doesn't have to be this way, though." She'd murmur; straightening up, and facing him proper. "Any time you want to stop attacking, I'll stop fighting back." She'd state simply, "You can stop here, stop trying to ascend any further, and we can simply talk as friends. We can catch up, we can enjoy each others' presence. Perhaps, when you get stronger, I'd even feel more comfortable with letting you past."
"This isn't me being here just to stop you completely. This is me not wanting to lose you - especially after it having been so long, since we've last seen each other. So... Whenever you're ready to stop, just say the word, okay?" There was a certain unspoken plea to her soft, gentle tone; a plea for Joker to take her up on this offer, to stop here and now. And yet... "... I don't expect you to take it up so easily, but... It'd make me happy, if you could at least humor me and my selfish concerns, until you're stronger."
As Joker put his Clown Trick to use, though... Arlecchimon would, strangely, appear disinterested in Joker's little act; quietly glancing around herself, and taking in a deep breath once more. Her shadow, even, seemed to lose interest strangely quickly; instead searching about.
When Joker would attempt to dart in with a basic attack, Arlecchimon was strangely quick to react; one of her artificial arms snatching up Joker's sword, even as it cut into the palm of the large hand. It seemed that she had an ability to see thru Joker's illusions - An Eye for Tricks, you could say. "You should know better than to try this sort of trickery, Joker~" The Harlequin gently teased; attempting to poke Joker on the cheek with a free hand. "I know you too well, to fall for it; especially when you keep calling your moves like that~! Now..."
Clapping her two free artificial hands together, she'd produce a familiar looking cards - the same cards from her Dealer attack..! "... Lets see how you handle this, hm?" At such a close range, and with the strange nature of Palace of Cards, would Joker be able to avoid the brunt of her attack, as she fired off that same flurry of razor-sharp cards at him? In addition to this, Arlecchimon's shadow would quickly go on the offensive as well; darting in an attempting to swipe at Joker's shadow once more...!
Either way, once the attack resolved, the illusion about them would begin to waver, and the cards around them would begin to crumble away one by one; as the Palace of Cards began to fall apart. Arlecchimon would hum in soft disappointment at this; mentioning "It's always a shame, that it only lasts so long; though maintaining such a large and flexible illusionary space can be quite difficult, honestly."
- Arlecchimon is able to see past Joker's Clown Trick, with her passive - An Eye for Tricks! - She grabs Joker's sword - it cutting lightly into the palm of her hand, but otherwise attempting to hold it in place. - Arlecchimon's shadow comes in to attack Joker, as the real Arlecchimon attempts a close-range Dealer attack..! - The Palace of Cards begins to, finally, crumble away.
Passives Known: [PASSIVE] An Eye for Tricks: If it's a trick, then Arlecchimon has seen it many times before; or has even used it before, herself! She is able to see past illusions and other similar trickery, being able to identify what's real from what's fake from just a glance; and as a result, she is unaffected by such moves.

Overhearing the two clowns’ genuine and heartfelt exchange through her Digivice, Yuko felt conflicted. Wouldn’t it be easier to just stop this seemingly meaningless fight? To let both of them live AND make a new friend in the process? Despite being a fully fledged Tamer now, there was a lot she still didn’t understand about Digimon, whose mentalities were so different than a human’s. They were always so stubborn when it came to fighting, as if it was programmed into their genetic code. “I guess this is something they just have to do…”A surprised Piedmon tried to pull his sword out of his opponent’s grasp, no doubt hurting the artificial limb more in the process. He winced when Arlecchimon poked his cheek underneath his mask, but smiled his trademark smile regardless. “Oh, you know me! Who DOESN’T call their moves? Charlatans, that’s who!” He cheekily told her, pulling the sword in the time it took for her to prepare her next attack, Dealer. The Hellish Clown gained his distance like he originally planned to, but despite his grace and agility even he couldn’t dodge this many cards hurled at him from close range, getting cuts all over his wonderful clothes and causing data to leak out. Even Arlecchimon’s joined on the offensive for some cheap damage via hurting his own shadow. “Well, that’s just rude!” The jester protested, stumbling backwards and catching his breath. Arlecchimon’s illusory palace started crumbling around them, much to her disappointment. “It was beautiful while it lasted. At least it’ll go out with a bang!” The flamboyant Demon King mused, flicking his wrist to generate yet another powerful gust of wind, a bunch of Monzaemon and Waru Monzaemon plushies flying towards the now exposed harlequin. “I feel so dirty not calling the name first. Oh well, I’ll call it now. Toy Wonderness! BAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!” The jester added, roaring his signature diabolical laughter once again. OOC Notes: - Piedmon receives medium damage from the combination of Dealer and Arlecchimon’s shadow. - As the Palace of Cards crumbles away, he attacks the now exposed Arlecchimon with Toy Wonderness, while also triggering his Passive, “Laughing Mad”, at that time.

"Any attack you can't dodge is rude to you," Arlecchimon pointed out in teasing; chuckling from behind her mask, as she grasped her true arms behind her back in a casual fashion. "But then again; perhaps you're onto something, hm~?" The Harlequin mused; allowing Joker his chance to catch his breath, as she similarly examined the damage to her hand, and pulled her pinned arm free. The cut certainly wasn't pretty, but it was manageable, in her opinion. Still, the damage was racking up for the both of them - who would give, first?
It was hard to say; but Arlecchimon wasn't about to give up easily, that much was for sure - and Joker, surely, wouldn't either, if his Toy Wonderness was anything to judge by..! The winds would swirl about them; kicking up dust and small pebbles, and tearing away at what few cards were left from Palace of Cards and left fluttering in the wind. Arlecchimon, readied, would initially be able to duck and weave amongst the toys that were blown about with a certain grace; her artificial arms brought close to her, so as to make her a smaller target.
However, that signature diabolical laughter of Joker's would seemingly throw Arlecchimon off; the psychological nature of the ability causing her to, once more, briefly flinch. This flinch would be her mistake, though - being thrown off for long enough for a couple of the toys to impact into her, and explode...! Grunting sharply, the harlequin would be sent tumbling a short pace; her artificial claws digging into the ground for traction, to keep her from being thrown into the cliff side.
As soon as her body came to a stop, she would begin to rise; though it was clear that she was somewhat dazed from the attack from the way that she would briefly stagger, just as Raiodramon before had been. "Hah... Old habits die hard, I suppose." She'd murmur with a brief chuckle, a hand to her head as she tried - albeit for the time being, failed - to steady herself.
Nonetheless, it seemed that Arlecchimon wouldn't let this stop her so easily; flicking one of her own wrists, and sending out a familiar looking chain at Joker..! At the end of the chain would be a cuff that - if its aim was true, as iffy as it may be given Toy Wonderness' effect - would attempt to close itself around one of Joker's limbs, tethering him to her. If tethered, Arlecchimon would then attempt to take hold of the chain with all four of her artificial hands, and swing it with all of her might - attempting to slam Joker into the cliff side!
Regardless of whether or not Arlecchimon's Suits and Chains succeeded though, there was still her shadow to contend with for one last time; it once more attempting to claw at Joker's shadow, amidst the confusion. Once the attack resolved though, it would begin to return to Arlecchimon - becoming her proper shadow, once more.
- Arlecchimon avoids most of the projectiles, but is otherwise struck by Toy Wonderness, and dazed as a result. - Thru the daze, Arlecchimon attempts to use Suits and Chains on Joker, and - if it's successful - attempts to slam him into the cliff side with a swing of the chain, in a basic attack...! - Arlecchimon's shadow strikes at Joker's shadow in the confusion one last time, before Shadow Trick wears off.
Move Used: [ABILITY] Suits and Chains: Arlecchimon shoots out a chain - whose links are shaped into card suits - with a collar or cuff at the end at her target. If accurate, the collar/cuff closes around the target's neck or limb, and tethers them to her! Whilst tethered, Arlecchimon is able to either pull the target in closer, or give the chain more slack, as much as she wants; but the target is still able to dodge, attack, and move (mostly) freely - limited only by how far they can go from her. This chain lasts for 2 turns before it snaps, freeing the target. [2 Turn Cooldown]

“It sure feels good to finally be able to see them again.” Yuko mused, although ‘see’ was a generous verb, seeing how the battlefield was currently a chaotic mess of roaring winds, flying rubble, falling card suits and copious amounts of explosions! When the dust did clear, however, she was able to see a winded Arlecchimon try to regain her footing, before shooting out a large chain from her wrist. “JOKAH! LOOK OUT!”“You’re gonna handcuff me? This isn’t the time, darling~ There are children watching!” Piedmon cheerfully jested, noticing that his opponent’s aim was slightly off due to being dazed after the explosions, and exploiting that weakness for all it was worth. Not only that, but with the Palace of Cards having disappeared, he now had a lot more free room to levitate out of harm’s way, dodging the Suits and Chains. His shadow was still visible on the ground, making him susceptible to Shadow Trick, yet even as Arlecchimon’s shadow made its move, he seemed confident. The Demon King hadn’t revealed his full hand yet… While Arlecchimon’s Palace of Cards had fallen, his own Masks Square still hadn’t completely worn off, having juuust enough energy left to allow him one last teleportation, avoiding being hit by the shadow in the nick of time! He reappeared floating in the sky above, turning his head towards the cliff where Yuko stood and giving her a meaningful nod. And the young Tamer understood, as if a link existed right then and there between her and her partner. Jokah wanted to do something big, and she was meant to help him get there. Their bond guiding her hand, she picked a new Card, sending rainbow sparkles flying as she swiped it through her D-Arc. “Digi-Modify, Chrome-Digizoid rarity! WarGreymon!”
“Rejoice, my dear Queen!” Piedmon opened his palm and held it upwards, a glowing, fiery orb building up in it. “You don’t need to wait any longer. You see, I’ve done more than simply reacquire my former power and splendor, like you have. Thanks to Yuko, I have surpassed it!” The orb in his hand grew to gigantic size, becoming like a miniature sun, radiating fire and boiling lava. “Oooh, I should get into character for this! Ahem… TERRA FORCE!!!” The Hellish Clown cleared his throat, doing a rather faithful impression of WarGreymon’s grumbling voice, as he launched his giant sphere downwards. This was an attack no clown could use under normal circumstances. Arlecchimon might have known Jokah for a long time, but there was no way she could have predicted something like this. Even if by some stroke of luck she managed to dodge the massive ball of magma coming her way, the ridge they stood upon just wouldn’t be the same after such a destructive attack. This was madness! THIS was what a human and a Digimon could do when working in unison! OOC Notes: - Piedmon is able to dodge Arlecchimon’s Suits and Chains thanks to her being dazed from Toy Wonderness. - He then uses one last teleport from his Masks Square, in order to dodge Arlecchimon’s shadow attacking him. - Yuko uses her WarGreymon Card, and Piedmon attacks Arlecchimon with WarGreymon’s signature Terra Force for a devastating, potentially even finishing move! - Masks Square finally wears off. - Demon King's Charisma triggers at the end of the turn. Arlecchimon's head was still spinning; but even she could see the attack that Joker was preparing, from up above. The orb of fire and lava that was a WarGreymon's Terra Force was indeed akin to a sun, the way that it shone over the otherwise dim environment of the Dark Area; and the harlequin, for a moment, couldn't help but wonder who else might be bearing witness to their fight. With this chaos that came with two Megas fighting, and this great beacon that shined above them, it'd be a surprise if there weren't smaller digimon watching from afar, much like Yuko and IceDevimon were.
Despite her dazed demeanor though, Arlecchimon would still attempt to dodge away from the massive attack; putting her everything into simply getting away, so that she could fight a little longer. However, with the sheer size of the attack, she couldn't get completely clear; forcing her to protect herself with her arms, wrapping them around herself as the Terra Force impacted on the ridge below, tearing away at the stone of the cliff side in its midst.
The attack would explode outwards at this impact, sending Arlecchimon flying once more as she shouted in pain; the fire and heat scorching at her body, even as her arms took the brunt of it. And those arms in question weren't a pretty sight; caught aflame, and burning away; the more solid portions of them clattering to the ground in the process. Her mask, too, would be cracked at an angle; chipped somewhat at the edge, with thin lines nearly bisecting it - though it otherwise remained intact for the time being.
Arlecchimon was hurting, to say the least. She'd be panting heavily, as she stood - looking so much smaller, now that her artificial arms were gone. Were a digimon to not know any better, they might think that she was but a rookie, with her size; yet they would be sorely mistaken. She'd sway briefly on her feet; the daze from both the attack and the prior Toy Wonderness still affecting her making her unsteady for that moment, but... She'd shake her head - managing to steady herself as she once more lifted into the air.
"..." She had fallen deathly quiet, this whole time, though. Was she thinking? Was she speechless? Or, did she think that there was nothing to say, in a time like this...?
It was hard to say, but... She seemed to still be ready to continue fighting, nonetheless.
- In lieu of attacking, Arlecchimon puts her whole into dodging the Terra Force; though still takes some damage from the explosion it leaves behind; her artificial arms burning away...! - Toy Wonderness wears off.

Yuko shielded her eyes from the massive explosion caused by Terra Force, whose great power decimated everything in its wake, including the terrain that the two Mega-level Digimon were using as their battlefield. IceDevimon, in turn, shielded the squishy human with his wings, ensuring her safety from potential debris. “WOW! Jokah-sama really went all out! I like it!” The frost demon howled. Despite his heart being made of ice, his voice practically boiled with excitement. “No kidding! This was some weapon of mass destruction shit right there!” The delinquent girl replied. She could be exaggerating, but had an attack like that been unleashed in the middle of a city, there would no longer be a city to look at! She would definitely keep that in mind for future Card uses. And yet, Arlecchimon had survived. Her artificial limbs had all burnt away, while her stubby main body was horribly battered, yet she still had enough strength in her to - for all the good it would do at this point - get back up. There were no more words to be said on her end, and even Piedmon remained uncharacteristically silent as he landed into the huge crater created by Terra Force. He looked back to his former friend and ally with a look of solemn admiration, as if commending her fighting resolve. The two of them were so alike, too stubborn for their own good. It didn’t change the fact that she was on her last leg… “Ending Snipe.” The Clown Prince simply said, aiming his index finger at Arlecchimon’s torso and firing another blast of energy from it. He banked on Ending Snipe’s near infallible precision and the fact that it could follow its target even if she tried to hide. And considering how worn down she was, there was a high probability that if this attack connected, it really would mean her end, true to its name. OOC Notes: - Piedmon fires an Ending Snipe aimed at Arlecchimon’s Digi-Core in an attempt to finish her off.
