Instant Crush [Jazz/V-Day]

Why wouldn’t Anzu claim she’s the best girl with magic? Even if she knew Fei and Arianna were pretty good with magic themselves, Jazz wouldn’t doubt for a second Anzu’s ability was outstanding. It was a good thing, however, that she had not improvised with this date. It showed she really cared about this going well.
What else lied in the way for them to discover about their bond and what it could create? If Minervamon was only the beginning, Jazz couldn’t help but being excited at the premise!
As Anzu explained what she liked about Jazz, the holosuited bunny started to grow more and more nervous. Although she still couldn’t quite picture Anzu possibly saying this in a romantic way, all of this was making her flustered as hell. Truth was that Jazz wasn’t quite sure she understood the difference between a romantic bond and other type of love. She only knew what she felt for Anzu was… very different from what she felt for any of her other friends.
“The way I… smile.” She muttered. That was something she had never heard before. Someone liking her for those types of things. Elements of her that were so bounded to her essence.
Trying to not let her expectations get the best of her, Jazz attempted to ground her sensations to properly respond to Anzu’s question after tackling what she had posited before. “The things you mention…” What did this mean? “… are all things I can’t control. They’re all part of me.” Anzu liked her for the things that were more bounded to her core. To what she really was. Anzu didn’t like Jazz for what she had said or what she had done. But then… Ugh. The Lopmon’s head was a mess now.
Since Anzu's feelings were so beautiful she could cry right there, the Lopmon decided she should focus on answering that question instead!
On the literal opposite side of the spectrum, what Jazz liked the most about Anzu was… the things she had control of. “I like the things you’ve done for me.” The Lopmon let out a sigh before continuing. “I like how you’ve protected me but, at the same time, have never underestimated me. You always believed in me.” For someone who knew she had been weak for a long time, that meant a lot. “You accepted me as your best friend. You took me as your rival.” Suddenly, Jazz’s expression turned into a firm, determined one. “And, although I know I will fight you eventually in order to reach the end of that rivalry, I can’t help but…” A small pause. While holding that determined glance, Jazz’s cheeks kept a pink tonality. “… like you. I can’t help but like you a lot. Because you are... simply amazing. You're everything I needed. And a lot more."
And that was it!
Could she have these feelings for her greatest rival? Could she dream of both the day where Anzu corresponded her feelings and the day they faced each other as friends?

In truth, the fact that this date was going so well was the only reason Anzu wasn't hyperventilating or anything right now. To Anzu, Jazz was someone who deserved the world, and so much more. As such, if this date was anything less than great, there was no feasible way in hell she would ever forgive herself for that on her own volition.
On the subject of Jazz, though, Anzu realized she had...she had so much more that she liked about this girl than just what she had said, even if it was all things that were involuntary in nature. She liked Jazz because she was Jazz. She wanted to know more about her, more about what sort of bond they held, because...at this point, it had been going far past simple friendship.
"Y-Yes. I love those parts of you." I love you.
That's what Anzu caught herself nearly about to say. Was it too early to say that? YES. DEFINITELY. ...God, was she a mess right now...Anzu rubbed some sweat off her brow as Jazz began to speak. What she's done for her?
...
She had to listen to her. She had to hear her out in her entirety. She deserved nothing less than that. She deserved that and so much more. "You're amazing too!" Anzu exclaimed, before she took a deep breath to calm herself. To calm her nerves. Everything Jazz had just told her was true, there was no doubt about it. "...You vowed to protect me too. You accepted me as both friend and rival. Nobody's...Nobody's ever done those for me before..." A pause.
"...I know that too. It's an inevitability with rivalries like ours, and...and yet...It doesn't stop me from feeling this way towards you, Jazz. There's so much more I could tell you, but I...I don't think I can put those feelings into words right now. A-At least not...more than I can at the moment." She finished, finally.
She wasn't sure what these things she was feeling for Jazz right now were, but...She wanted to follow them. She wanted to follow them with Jazz to the bitter end.
The waitress cleared her throat. "...Can...Can I pour this now? Pretty please? I didn't want to interrupt..." She seemed like she was moved by what had just ensued. Anzu nodded swiftly. "Y-Yes, you can!" With an added mutter of sorry, too.
The waitress set the glasses down and poured the girls the wine that was ordered! "Do you two know what you're going to order?" This was a fair question! Did the girls have their orders in mind? Anzu looked to her beloved date for confirmation.

And Anzu was right! Their date was going pretty okay, even if Jazz had feelings overflowing all over her core after hearing the holosuited Tsukaimon’s words. For what it was worth, even that part of the statement had some sort of bean magnificence influencing Jazz involved in it.
Why? Because, well, while it was true Jazz had vowed to protect her…
“Even that… I have to thank you for.” The brunette muttered. “When I was laid unconscious by Heraldmon at the beach, I do remember talking to myself inside my head.” At the moment, she was a Cho-Hakkaimon, speaking to her more calmed, Lopmon side. “I don’t really think I was worthy of evolving into my Perfect form at that instant. My head was a mess. My heart was not in the right place.” And that was an absolute fact. Moreover, this was a story she had never told Anzu. “But… I asked CefiroDarcmon to lend me her power for a single time. And I am sure the only reason why she accepted was that… each and every one of my forms seeks to protect you.” A pause. Did this make sense for Anzu?
“See… my three forms. No, all of my forms have different levels of maturity. The intensity they fight or even live with is different. However, that moment proved to me that… regardless of my form, I will always want the best for you.” This was something the Lopmon had been thinking long and hard since that day at the beach. “… That means that you were what fueled my evolution. My feelings for you were the only thing that, at the moment, all of my forms shared. And, although now we share a lot of things and I’ve found the peace inside of me to reach greater strength… I couldn’t have taken the first step without you.”
And that should probably be it about sentimental talk for the moment. The waitress was waiting for their order!
Jazz gasped. She hadn’t even read the menu! Her pigtails flailing from one side to the other, she rushed to pick up the booklet in front of her and skim through it. But… she was feeling the pressure! She didn’t know what to order.
Blushing madly, she timidly looked at Anzu. “C-Can you… order for me?”
Coyly, the disguised bunny grabbed her glass and took a sip. Even if she wasn’t trying to be cute to get what she wanted (she wasn’t like her tamer!), Anzu probably couldn’t say ‘no’ to that face, right?
In case the order was something she didn’t like, Anzu’s date would jump right away to ask for something else. That probably wouldn’t be the case, though.

...
....
Anzu had underestimated how much of Jazz's...growth as a Digimon was a result of her own actions, hadn't she? Yes, that...that must have been the case. No matter what, though, she was being confronted with the fact that Jazz...felt like she owed a lot to her. The fact that Jazz sought the best for her, no matter the form.
No matter if she was a timid bunny, a destructive hog girl that Anzu might have found mildly attractive, or an impossibly beautiful paladin of the winds, this Digimon...cared about her. This Digimon cared about her more than she ever could have imagined she did.
And...
What was she to do with that? That realization? That knowledge? The answer to that would likely come in time, but right now, there were a number of feelings swelling up within Anzu. Things she was fairly certain she had never felt towards another person before (but totally towards herself, probably).
...
Was that love? "You want...to protect me. You want the best for me..." Anzu repeated to herself, staring at the girl. "...You've driven me to new heights too. You've...driven me forward in a lot of ways that I can't even begin to describe. At least...not right now. Thank you for that."
But was that love?
She didn't know. She wanted to know. She resolved to find out later. For now, she brought her focus back to what was in front of and around her. Jazz had asked if she could order for her, and the waitress was looking at Anzu expectantly at that. Okay, so, while Anzu had not been expecting Jazz to have been the one to order wine, this did lend her a damn good reason to try ordering something that complimented the drinks.
However. The issue with this was that red wine goes with practically anything. The only saving grace here was that Anzu had dined here before. So, she had a good layout of the menu.
To merely order a burger would be sacrilegious. She had to go higher with her standards here. "Two steaks. I'll have mine done medium. Jazz, tell her how you want your steak to be done." This was a safe bet. However, the waitress countered with...
...
"What sides?" SHIT. Anzu looked to Jazz, before she looked back to the waitress. "...Baked potatoes, all the way." Bold. Probably? How would Jazz regard this?

While the order the bean had made was quite simple and even blunt, it had Anzu’s name all over it. And that was ultimately fine. It was so simplistic it could be said it went to show how these two digimon acted, even if the Tsukaimon was definitely one where that particular trait shone the brightest.
Was it true that she had driven Anzu to be better, though? While it was a bit hard for Jazz to accept that fact, she could only trust her best friend, right? Well… then the question was more like… how had that happened? How had someone who was inherently stronger than her at almost every aspect been motivated to improve anything by the bunny? She definitely couldn’t wait for the moment where Anzu got the proper grasp on this idea and was able to explain it.
It was when the waitress stared at her for a bit too long that Jazz realized she had to make a decision. “O-Oh…! Hmm…” No point in dwelling too much about a topic she was clearly not an expert on. But! She did know how Katherine preferred her meat so… “…I’ll take mine well done.” Did she say that right? Hopefully, the waitress’s reaction would let her know if she had.
Once that whole thing was over and while they waited for their order, Jazz just let out a sigh, trying to relax again. At some point, she should probably use the restroom…
For now, her eyes drifted towards Anzu again. “That was a good order.” She giggled. “It does sound exactly like something you would order.” While she played with her pigtails, Jazz addressed a certain topic that had been in her mind for a minute. “You look confident when dealing with human affairs. I’m… still learning how to do that.” But that was not the point! Was it? “Had you been here before?” Anzu had mentioned she knew this place, right?
If that was the case… “Did you come here with Akemi?” There was probably a lot more to tackle about the Tsukaimon’s relationship with her tamer, but that was something that Jazz would address after getting answers to these questions. No point in doing it before, after all.

Anzu had the distinct feeling she wasn't trying hard enough, and sure, she kind of wasn't when it came to this order of food. But here's the thing, she didn't know that Jazz was able to eat practically anything like most Digimon could. But, assumptions were...unflattering. Plus, this was only the start of the date. She could do more as time went on. And she had a lot of things to do and a lot of things to tell Jazz.
Regardless, Jazz's thoughts had ended up leading to a small, yet tense silence, one that was kept up by the pink-haired waitress emanating an aura of cool energies. "Well-done and medium, got it." She nodded a few times before she departed swiftly. Very swiftly, in fact! It seemed like she went about her work as quickly and efficiently as she could.
Anzu exhaled. "Was it? I think I just went for the easiest thing to pair with the wine. Red wine goes with practically anything according to Akemi's mom..." She trailed off as the bean stared at Jazz's...playing with her pigtails. What was so mesmerizing about that, huh? "I have, Akemi's family brought me and her once and I liked it enough to want to come back again." A pause.
"...I only thought of bringing you here after I asked you out--that same night, actually. It's...It's been great so far..." She added. "I know you accompany Kath to places a lot--like Paul's restaurant. Do you go anywhere that you enjoy enough to come back again?" Anzu seemed more curious now.
"C'mon, tell me!"

Yay! Jazz had been able to effectively place an order and the waitress seemed satisfied by it. This probably meant the holosuited bunny had done a good job with it. A human society challenged had been overcome.
“I mean, I’d have gotten pretty nervous if it was me coming up with the whole order, so I’d say you handled it pretty well.” An innocent, playful giggle escaped Jazz. “I’m sure it’ll be delicious.” Even if that didn’t depend on Anzu, she trusted the bean’s judgment.
Jazz once again sipped from her glass of wine, now that it was a topic of conversation. “Akemi’s mom sure seems to know a lot about that, then. I hope I meet her someday.” She noted while still playing with those pigtails. So Anzu came here with Akemi’s family! That meant some more questions had arisen.
“How do you get to spend time with Akemi’s family? Did she introduce you as a friend of her or something? Do they usually know you stay at her house all the time?” Those were probably enough questions about the topic for the time being but… this was a type of interaction that interested Jazz a lot. It made her very curious. Could she possibly replicate one of Anzu’s tricks in order to be able to hang with Kath’s family too? Maybe not, considering they usually weren’t around but… who knows!
Interesting. So Anzu didn’t have a clear plan when she asked her out. “So you asked me on a date without even knowing where to take me…” Interesting. Not necessarily bad, though. “… You’ve always been good at improvising.” The brunette added.
A firm nod was the immediate reply to Anzu’s remark. “Yes. Kath and I are rarely apart. I think she has trouble letting me be by myself and… I’ve gotten kind of used to it.” Jazz admitted, taking her tongue out playfully and frolicking a bit more with those pigtails. “Well… I had always wanted to go back to an onsen, since the last time I went there I was a Cho-Hakkaimon, so I kind of didn’t enjoy it as I’d like to.” She explained. “But now I’m going to do that thanks to you.” An honest smile punctuated that sentence.
“Other than that… I don’t think so. As you know, this is the first time Kath and I have spent a considerable amount of time in the Human World. And we haven’t really gotten a break. We’ve been… quite busy.” It was only now that she realized how this entire thing with Alissa had taken away a lot of time from them. “So… I haven't been able to visit many places yet.”

Indeed, Jazz had successfully overcome but one hurdle of being a Digimon in human society. That was something Anzu was definitely impressed by, given the way she perked up while Jazz was talking to the waitress. She was proud of her date, there was no doubt about that.
"Mmhmm! It will be. Trust me on this." Again, Anzu spoke with utmost certainty in her voice, before she swiftly quieted herself down to hear more of Jazz's questions out. Ordinarily, she'd be trying to avoid things like this, but there was something about how curious the Lopmon was that made her...more trusting of her. Yes, let's put it that way.
She felt like Jazz was the kind of person who wouldn't abuse the knowledge she held.
A person she could always trust.
"As a friend? She tried to, but...there's a whole story behind that. Basically, they caught on really quick that I was a Digimon. Way too quickly for them to even pass off as...uh. Unaware of Digimon or the Digital World." Where was Anzu going with this, exactly? "So, me meeting Akemi and her sister's parents ended with me suspecting them of -also- being tamers. Except I don't know what kind they are, if they even actually are." A pause.
"Is this weird to be talking about on a date...? I-I'm sorry if it is..." She trailed off just in time for Jazz to compliment her improvisational skills! "I-It's not that improvised! I m-more meant I figured out where I wanted to take you the same day I a-a-asked you out!" Oh boy, now Anzu was flustered! Blushing furiously!
She probably needed a few moments to breathe. "T-Thank you, though...That means a lot to me." Why did Anzu like this girl so much? She wanted to figure that out, but that immediately took a backseat to Jazz's answers. "I think I know how that feels--Akemi rarely leaves me alone, too. She has her reasons and...Uh. I don't blame her." But what were they?
The bit with the onsen caught her off guard, though. Being a Cho-Hakkaimon stunted her enjoyment of the onsen? "...Then I guess I should be honored I get to be the one to take my Jazz there." Her face was still red, but she meant every word of that.
They hadn't gotten a break either, huh? That...Actually was a bit rough. After everything that Katherine and Jazz had gone through, they would have been perfectly in the right to take a break from doing work. And yet they still seemed to have their hands full...
"...I want to visit places with you. Take you places. W-When you can go, at least...I know you just said you're busy and all..."

Anzu’s own confidence was something Jazz had always appreciated, especially in the moments where she had needed it.
Even some amazing trait like that got shadowed in the conversation by the information the bean was sharing. Jazz’s eyes widened as she listened to her friend.
“S-So you think they already knew about digimon?” Amazing! What were the odds of Akemi’s parents already knowing about Digimon? Could they fact their daughter had turned into a tamer be related somehow? Although sadly Anzu didn’t seem to have much information on the matter, this was a topic that deeply interested the holosuited bunny. “That would be amazing. I wonder what types of adventures they had.” A pensive expression, Jazz took another sip of her wine. “Why haven’t you confronted them about this? Are you afraid your suspicion might not be accurate?” That was a valid fear, to be honest. But… if they already knew about Digimon, was there anything to lose?
Jazz blinked upon hearing Anzu’s concern. “Well, I don’t know what people usually talk on a date but… that thing about Akemi’s parents is pretty interesting to me.” A pause. “Maybe we can make our own rules for dates where it is okay to talk about stuff that makes me… u-us, curious.” She giggled nervously before tilting her head.
Once again, the brunette blinked at seeing Anzu getting flustered “That’s totally fine. I think… it’s going pretty well.”
“Huh. Reasons…” A teasing expression on her face, Jazz locked her eyes on Anzu. “… Like you being able to destroy a whole house in a second?” Although the Lopmon’s playful attitude denoted she was kidding, no one could deny they both had a past as a messy pair. Especially when Jazz was in her Cho-Hakkaimon form.
… Wait. What did Anzu say!?
The teasing was done and now Jazz was absolutely nervous. She was the one blushing madly now, hiding her hands between her thighs and looking down at the table.
“Y-Y-Your… Jazz?” She stuttered.
Why did that sound so good!?

This conversation had, admittedly, taken a rather interesting turn now that Anzu had admitted something she had suspected about Akemi and Shizu's parents for...quite some time. There were a number of implications that arose from this, and a number of questions, but...Why hadn't she confronted them about this?
Jazz pretty much nailed a good sum of it with her guess. Yet, Anzu had more to say, still. "Yes. That and...Um. I haven't figured out how I should confront them if at all. I'm still trying to gauge if they're tamers or not...I've never seen any digivice on them. It'd be interesting if I was right, though. Maybe we'd have two sources of information if we were correct..." Anzu trailed off, before she nodnodded at Jazz! "I'm fine with that as a rule. It's one way to keep conversation fresh...Let's do it." She gave the girl a confident grin!
At least, before she got flustered. Anzu legitimately needed a few seconds to recover from that. "T-That's one of them..." The bean quietly admitted. Sure, Jazz was teasing but that didn't exactly downplay the significance of being able to cause massive amounts of property damage on a whim, now, did it?
There was a bit of silence from Anzu, before she nodded. "Yes, m-my Jazz. Do...Do you like that...?" Anzu was silently hoping she did, because that...honestly did sound good. She wanted to call her that all the time and more. "...Is there anything you want me to call you, on that n-note?" Anzu managed after a few seconds of wondering if she should ask that or not.
If they were to discuss things that make them curious? Anzu could probably talk a lot about Jazz herself. She was undeniably a very interesting girl, that much was for certain. So, she awaited the Lopmon's answer.

The fact that this conversation had shifted on and on between interesting facts, elaborated philosophical postures and a lot of flustering was probably the best example of how Anzu and Jazz's friendship worked. Part of Anzu adapting to Jazz's curiosity was what made them work so good, and that was shown through this conversation.
Her eyes widening, Jazz leaned a bit forward while still sitting on that chair. "If they had a digivice or still had their Digimon with them, maybe they could explain to us a bunch of things we don't know! They would be by far the most experienced tamers we had met." That sounded so exciting! The sole possibility of that happening was getting Jazz all pumped up.
This hype diluted and was eventually replaced by flustering on Anzu's side and then... Oh my God. A lot of flustering and blushing on Jazz's side.
Had Anzu really called her 'My Jazz'? She had even reaffirmed the statement, too! This was almost too much to handle for this poor, holosuited bunny!
The brunette kept fidgeting nervously while looking down to her own legs, blushing madly while stuttered to deliver some type of answer to the pink-haired girl. “I-I mean… I g-guess it is okay…” Nervous muttering was everything Jazz could bring into the table. After that? She just remained there, biting her lower lip.
She didn’t even want to think what it could mean she being Anzu’s! But… they were on a date after all, right? So that type of thing was to be expected, especially if this was some type of romantic encounter. Did that mean Anzu was playing by the rulebook? Or did she have an actual interest in Jazz being hers?
This was just too hard, damn it!
How was that artifact going? Any close to being full?
“I must use the restroom!”
With that, Jazz left the table in a rush. Once in the bathroom, she actually took a moment to check on Kona’s locket. Nothing. It was still as empty as when this started. Did this mean Anzu’s intentions were not… romantic?
She had definitely gotten involved in something too complex for her understanding, at least at the moment.
After taking a deep breath and washing her face, Jazz went back to their table, a lot less flustered than before. She smiled at Anzu and took a seat.
Their food should be here at any moment, right?

This conversation was likely what all friendships should strive to be like. The capability of swapping between numerous topics all at once in a fluid manner. It was also a perfect example of how strong the friendship between these two former rivals had become over the time they had known each other, too.
It was a bond made of steel. A pact between two unbreakable wills.
"Actual adult tamers...It would be rather interesting, wouldn't it? It's something we need to see if it's true or not, though. Like I said, I have no idea if they really are or were tamers in the past. Just...a lot of suspicions, you know?" Excitement was something Anzu empathized with. This theorizing was...hype inducing. Tantalizing, even. "...It'd be kinda cool if they were, though..."
She genuinely wanted to find the answer to this question.
What quickly superseded that, however, was Jazz's response to the whole 'My Jazz' debacle. Was it okay? According to her, it...actually was. There was something about that that caused Anzu's heart to flutter a little. "T-Then...I'll keep doing it, then!" She nodded, firmly!
Maybe that'd serve as an indicator of an answer to Jazz's internal questioning? Who knows. "Be careful!" She called after Jazz as she went to use the restroom. Anzu was, for the time being, alone.
...
......
The pink-haired girl covered her face with her hands and let out a little whine. "Am I doing this right? I hope I am...She's way too cute for me to even -want- to think of how I could screw this up..." Anzu took a few deep breaths. She -had- been flustering Jazz a lot...was that even good or bad...?
Uncertainty sucked. That's the bigger conclusion that she drew at this moment. She was also very unaware of what Jazz went to the bathroom for. Maybe just to wash her face? Hmmmm...
Footsteps nearing her table signified Jazz coming back. Okay, good, showtime. She uncovered her face "Welcome back!" Anzu said, giving her date a happy smile. While there was some silence for a few moments on Anzu's end after that, the waitress finally returned with their steaks. On a platter. Nice!
...They (the steaks) were identically cooked, and once she had set them down in front of the girls. "Alright, enjoy the food, sweethearts!" The waitress advised with one of the downright coolest smiles one could give to a date. D'awww. As she promptly departed once more, Anzu looked to Jazz.
"Ready to eat?"
Well, was she?

Leaving the nervousness and uncertainty behind, Jazz was quite ready to eat here! Their waitress cool attitude was even heartwarming and it seemed completely genuine, so of course, that would make them have an even better meal!
For now, going back to the topic of Akemi's parents didn’t seem necessary. Nor it was necessary to go back to flustering topics! (even if a part of Jazz secretly wanted that, maybe?)
The locket was empty and her head was full of doubts, but somehow Anzu’s smile made everything better.
“I hope you enjoy it.” More than a formality, Jazz’s wish was entirely genuine! With that, the brunette started using her fork and knife to cut her steak. This was… this was very good!
… And Jazz expression showed just that. She took a sip of her wine and continued eating, waiting to see what Anzu herself thought of the food.
After a couple of bites, she just felt like saying something.
“Great food and an entertaining conversation. If I had known dates were this fun I’d have gone on one before.” She noted with a smile. Naturally, that required some sort of clarification. “… if I had had someone to go on a date with, of course.” Jazz giggled.“I don’t… know what other things a date involves, though. But so far it’s great.” And that was completely true!
“What do you… know about dates?” Jazz asked before taking her next bite.

The utterly cool demeanor of the waitress seemed to do a lot for Anzu. It was reassuring in nature, really. There wasn't...much value in retreading any previous topics they had gone through for the moment, even if Akemi's parents maybe being old school tamers was...kinda interesting.
What was more important than that or sincerely flustering topics that made Anzu screech like a feral beast internally was the fact that there was some nice food in front of the girls. "I hope you enjoy it too, my Jazz." Anzu seemed to be getting more and more used to referring to Jazz as...hers with each time she even referred to her as such.
See, something the girls had managed to successfully take advantage of was the fact that red wine was able to go with just about anything. Especially steak. So, as a result? This was a genuinely great meal. "I know, right? I mean...I'd have absolutely gone on one if I had anyone I felt that way towards before. ...So...You're pretty much my first and...I don't think I'd have that any other way. I don't know what else might be involved, but I'm ready to find out. Especially if you're here."
Every single word of that was genuine, something surprising from a self-proclaimed demon.
"...I don't know the first thing about dates, if I'm being honest. I mean, I know people go on them with people that they like, I know they can take on many forms, dinner included...I guess I just know what one is. Going on one is an entirely different experience altogether. One I'd call legitimately nerve-wracking if it weren't for the fact that...you manage to make me feel at ease. Like everything will turn out alright in the end, even if I'm nervous as all heck." There was a long pause from Anzu's end.
"Thank you for that, Jazz. For coming here, and...and for everything. ...Hey, do you know anything about dates or...are you as lost as I am?"
How would Jazz reply?

Lost in her own thoughts, it was hard for Jazz to focus on Anzu claiming possession of her again. Which was probably a good thing, considering that made her very nervous, just like everything else developing right now.
“Many forms…” The holosuited Lopmon muttered, listening closely to her best friend before taking another bite. Once she was done, she offered some sort of reply. “It’s good to know I’m not the only one who’s nervous.” She giggled coyly before going for another sip of her red wine. “I think that is something we have managed to make each other feel through different situations, considering everything we have gone through.” Not like they hadn’t debated about the meaning of Minervamon’s existence back in Akemi’s place, though.
About dates? Maybe things were about to get more complicated as they discussed a definitely more complicated relationship, which also happened to be one of their few references of romanticism. “I don’t know much.” Jazz shook her head innocently. “… I did ask Kath a lot of stuff that time she went on a date with Akemi. Of course, I was in my Cho-Hakkaimon form so I was less listening and more burning –almost literally- with excitement.” Again, she giggled. “That was quite different from this, though. So I take your word about every date having the possibility to be different in terms of things to do.”
Not like the elephant in the room could be ignored. “… Even if things between those two didn’t end too well… in a romantic sense.” Her eyes trailing downwards timidly, the brunette let a sigh out. “I guess that outcome only made me more lost about dates, you know? How can things go to 0 so quickly…” Was that the sad ending to a happy story?
Anyways! Jazz shook her head and tried to drift away from those thoughts. “I thank you too, for always being there for me.” A tilt of her head and an honest smile.
… Were feelings always that… feeble?
