Naturally, engrossed as he was in tending to the injuries of all of the injured digimon, Faustein did not hear Mandrake or Lothar's conversation regarding him. However, his voice could be heard, crisp and clear echoing across the clearing from inside the tent despite the distance
"Eliza! That Agumon over there requires a dose of Thisilyn data injection stat!...This Strikedramon requires two doses of Phenocal and cardiotonic immediately!!...Prep the ICU bed at the far end of the tent for reconstructive surgery on the Devidramon!!..."
Of course, Eliza the Aidmon could be heard as well, responding occasionally when she had queries about the treatment orders given by Faustein, but for the most part only the brisk sounds of her diligent work were heard constantly. Thus, Faustein's work continued steadily forward for several more hours while outside, the handling of the other less urgently injured patients was proceeding along smoothly as well. It took them the better part of the day to finish off with the last of the injured digimon, both inside and outside the tent, but Faustein's ordeal and that of Eliza the Aidmon who was assisting him ended at long last. With all that done, now Faustein could be heard gloating loudly in a rather arrogant tone
"MWAHAHAHAHA!!! HOW DOES IT FEEL?! TO HAVE YOUR MEASLY LITTLE LIVES HANGING IN THE BALANCE AT THE MERCY OF THOSE WHOM YOU HAD IMPRISONED NOT SO LONG AGO?! ARE YOU DEPRESSED?! ENRAGED, PERHAPS?!!...OR COULD IT BE THAT YOU LOT ARE SIMPLY...ASHAMED TO HAVE BEEN TREATED AND SAVED BY A HUMAN OF ALL THINGS?! YOU THREE ARE PATHETIC, MWAHAHAHA!!!"
Needless to say, as was his usual routine, he was laughing like a true maniac while arching his torso backward with the fingers of his hands wriggling in a truly disturbing manner and with his arms shaking as a result of his devolution into unbridled laughter. The enemy Cyberdramon, the Strikedramon, and the recently reconstructed Devidramon were greatly incensed as they heard this, but due to the fact that their bodies were still in their recuperative period, they could be heard merely grumbling angrily.

Mandrake and Lothar were making their rounds until the sound of Stein's gloating caught their attention. Glancing at Lothar, Mandrake said "Continue making the rounds, Lothar, I'll have a word with Stein."
Glancing briefly at Mandrake, Lothar headed for a nearby injured digimon albeit hesitantly. Though Lothar knew Mandrake could handle himself it didn't stop him from worrying. At least all of the patients Lothar dealt with so far weren't troublesome so he hadn't yet needed to worry seeing as he still wasn't full strength.
As Mandrake and Lothar split the Wizardmon broke into a run heading for a tent Stein's voice was coming from. It seemed to be coming from the tent Cyberdramon, Strikedramon, and Devidramon were left in. Since their injuries weren't severe Mandrake wondered why Stein was wasting time gloating over their injured forms.
When he heard the gloating was going to far, Mandrake pushed the tent flap aside and entered the tent. Swiftly approaching the gloating human, Mandrake grabbed ahold of Stein's arm and, with a commanding voice of his own, said "That's quite enough, Stein!"

Faustein had been gloating more while Eliza the Aidmon was watching nervously as the Cyberdramon, the Strikedramon, and the Devidramon became more and more visibly restless. Fortunately, before the situation could escalate further, Faustein's obscene gloating was stopped by Mandrake's admonition of his unseemly behavior. Of course, Faustein had faced many such disapprovals in his life thus far, so despite Mandrake's commanding voice, he was not actually cowed. Still, he did want to finish up and leave, so he let out a dejected sigh, feigning what seemed to be genuine sadness at being stopped on his countenance
"Aww, boo...I never get to finish my theatrics...darn...I cry now...."
Actual tears did stream profusely down his face as he said this but that was because he had secretly put in lacrimogenic eye drop solution at some point whilst treating tbe patients and the Aidmon had not been looking at him...aka this was all part of his devious master plan. To make the effect of his acting more convincing, Faustein disengaged from Mandrake, retreated from him till he was behind Eliza the Aidmon, and pretended to cower in abject terror while clinging to her for support, which naturally caused her to become greatly flustered again
"D-Dr. Stein...w-what are you up to, sir?"
To that, he answered in a clearly tremulous voice, but of course this was not real either, just more of his melodramatic acting to satisfy his flair for the dramatic.
"H-H-Help me, E-Eliza, that terrifying Wizardmon is being all scaaaarrryyy...please hold me...a-and comfort m-me...I-I need your moral support r-right now..."
Now, to the untrained listener, this pitieous appeal was calibrated to sound and feel realistic enough to evoke pity in them. That said, Mandrake was a Wizardmon who specialized in trickery and mental manipulation so, Faustein was sure he could see right through his charade. Eliza the Aidmon, however, was fooled successfully...a fact that was apparent in her now blushing and even more flustered face, and in the sympathetic way in which she was head petting Faustein who was now collapsed onto the floor behind her while clinging to her, looking like a scared child would to his mother.
He would have played around more, but at this stage, the Docmon spirit intervened, and before Mandrake's eyes, a brilliant light issued forth from Eliza the Aidmon and filled the entire tent with its effulgence, causing many of the patients nearby to shield their eyes. Then, a small object was seen to emerge from Eliza the Aidmon, and this object had the statuette of what strangely seemed to be a vampiric doctor like figure which had two large model syringes with one containing purple liquid and the other having green liquid situated behind the vampiric doctor figure. Of course, given that it did not have the stereotypical lab coat on as most medical personnel would, Faustein was a tad skeptical of it at that moment. Then, what seemed like a translucent figure came forth from the object that now hovered high in the air above them all. This figure had on the same attire as the statuette on thr object and was holding the same large syringes with deadly looking needles tipping them as could be seen on the object behind the statuette.
What in the world is...?
Faustein began to muse silently while gazing up at the object, enthralled as he was by it and by the spirit like figure that was now hovering before the object. His mental processing of this event was interrupted by the figure smirking at him and speaking
"My oh my...it would seem that my new master...is quite the overly melodramatic fellow...despite his obvious skill at being a healer of the sick and injured...this seems to be foreboding, but the decision rests with the Sovereigns as to my connection with him. Besides, who knows...maybe I will not be so bored as I have been by my previous wielders...Very well then...Master Faustein Kuroyakushi, I, Docmon...the Human Spirit of Healing do hereby declare that you have passed your trials here today successfully! My power is henceforth yours to do with as you please and use at will!! May you show me just how far you can ascend toward your ultimate destiny in the Digital World!!"
Then, the ghostly figure of the Docmon spirit fell silent and both it and the statuette object which was apparently its spirit totem shot toward and were absorbed into Faustein's D-Tector which was now resting in its cradle built into Faustein's bionic left arm. Finally, the blinding light which had been lighting up the tent clear for all outside to see and also those inside faded away as quickly as it had appeared on the scene. Once that was over, Faustein went into that same familiar trance like state as he had when he first spirit evolved into his Sprite Spirit form, aka Doupplemon, only this time, he felt far more power than ever flooding into bith his mind and body as he went through the usual motions to activate the spirit digivolution process. His body began emitting that same blinding light from before and right in front of everyone, Faustein transformed into a 5'7" tall version of the Docmon spirit, only this time he was corporeal and had full access to the spirit's powers and abilities. Luckily, this was a spirit of healing, so the initial shock of spirit digivolution was not as much, though Faustein still had to struggle to regain control over his conscious mind. With that control regained, he forced himself to de digivolve into his human form and then bade farewell to Mandrake and Eliza the Aidmon before summoning a portal back to Shibuya Station and vanishing through it to said station, effectively ending the story of the day there, not that he was not looking forward to the next encounter with Eliza the Aidmon, of course.

What happened next surprised Mandrake though, in hindsight, he shouldn't have been surprised that Stein would try to resort to mind games. Eliza, however, seemed completely fooled by the spirit wielder's nonsense. "Seriously? How can you be fooled by Stein's shenanigans, Eliza. As a doctor I would think you'd be smarter than this."
Apparently Eliza didn't know Mandrake wouldn't hurt humans no matter how much they got under his skin at times. Then something surprising for everyone happened as a bright light came from Eliza and, like the others in the tent, Mandrake shielded his eyes from the intense bright light.
The glowing light had caught Lothar's attention and he began heading for the tent also shielding his eyes as he went in. "Mandrake, what is going on?" Lothar said as the light faded revealing Stein's new form shortly before Stein dedigivolved back into his human form before leaving.
"It appears Stein has gotten access to a human spirit, Lothar." Mandrake said. Before the two friends left they helped Eliza until the injured digimon were stabilized.
