"Fortune cookie? Come to think of it, I might have." Syre gave a chuckle, shaking her head at it all. Yes, it was corny and perhaps ham-fisted, but wasn't it still the truth?
Really, there was only one place where Syre could actually help here: "Well, while we're on corny coincidences, it just so happens that my dad is also a doctor-scientist. He might be able to help with both your voice and your legs... and he doesn't work with Chalice, so he'd be an independent party." Hearing the next part, Syre couldn't help but give a smile.
"You must care about them a lot. If you want to be, well, a symbol for 'em." She sighed, shrugging a bit as Sixer remarked on her appearance. "I mean, its not that bade. Stage clothes, pants? Or you can go with some sort of techno vibe, I dunno." Setting one more box into place, Syre would call out to Chalice: "Was that the last one?"

Heh. Well it definitely works.
Sixer shared a moment with the other and would have probably chuckled if she could, she seemed amused at the idea and sure it was corny but… She appreciated it. She’d set the last box that was there down and flicked her ears to either side as syre actually… apparently knew a doctor scientist type that wasn’t someone that worked with chalice!
Hah. The chances of that are so astronomical… But I guess I rolled lucky on the die here. He sounds like he’d know his stuff too. It’d be nice to meet someone that isn’t her and… isn’t on her payroll.
Sixer folded her arms and then cocked an eyebrow. She cared for them a lot? Being a symbol for them? She’d stare down at the ground and give a small nod.
I do care for them a lot. Many of them never would have been born if it wasn’t for orion. Someone that we all know and hate. But the hatred isn’t the way forward and our lives shouldn’t be because of what he did to us or made us. But still…
Hearing syre speak about stage clothes gave Sixer a thoughtful pause. Baggy pants? Some stage clothing? Some kind of techno vibe? Who ever heard of a techno cowboy? Well other than some weird bollywood nonsense she doubted that would pass all too easily.
I could see the stage clothes or baggy pants but… Talking to your father first seems like a good idea.
Chalice on the other hand raised her head from the last barrier device and stepped to the portal; tossing it to sixer who deftly caught it without much fuss. The meicrackmon set it down with the others and rolled her shoulders.
”Yup and Yup. They should be more efficient than the last ones and should also be a bit more durable in terms of voltage that they can handle. Your power grid will probably thank me… are you taking sixer with you?”

Very little of this was going to be easy for Sixer.
Achieving her dreams. Becoming a symbol for her family. Hell, even aside from all of that, leading any sense of a normal life, with an income or a purpose was going to be an all-encompassing challenge for this MeiCrackmon. Syre understood the surface, but she could barely comprehend anything that Sixer was going to have to go through, to make any of this a reality.
"... I'll see if dad's available to talk. He's busy, but I'm sure if I ask, he'll make time for you." Syre gave a nod, taking out her D-Terminal as Chalice spoke up. Syre gave a nod as Chalice explained that everything was set up - and as for her last question?
"Maybe not immediately, but soon. This afternoon, or in the next couple of days - I want to see if 'Dr. Mikemon' can help Sixer out with a couple of things. I trust that'll be alright?"

With a looming meeting of her father in the future sixer seemed to be a little bit quieter; more thoughtful. She was rubbing at her ears a little more often and there seemed to be a nervous tinking of her foot on the ground. She didn’t want to impose on this doctor but…
I would really appreciate that syre.
Sixer shot a glance through the portal where chalice was looking somewhat bored. Hearing that soon, afternoon or in the next couple of days she wanted to see if Dr. Mikemon could help out sixer! The mastemon grinned a bit and nodded her head.
”Heh. If that’s all just make sure whatever options that sixer chooses that I’m told. I am her primary care after all.”
Chalice gave a small wave of her hand; she didn’t seem bothered and sixer looked to be ready and raring to go. She wanted to get an opinion of someone that wasn’t Chalice. Who was okay as far as some things went but… She also had some of the same quirks that probably lead to Orion being the way he was. So there was a bit of awkwardness there.
Even if he doesn’t agree to see me this afternoon or the next couple days, it’s still nice of you to even talk to him for me.
Sixer was grateful for all the help that syre was giving her but it seemed like the meicrackmon wasn’t getting her hopes entirely up. There was a lot of work that needed to go into this and well… She was used to bad news at this point.
Hmm…

"Yeah, yeah, dad knows the legal tape."
Syre shrugged at that. It was really a matter of just when dad would be available to talk - he was busy, and he had the family to tend to as well. It wasn't just a matter of Sixer coming over at any time, either - it would have to be when the office was ready to receive patients, when Stingmon would be around to assist, and when he wasn't researching or doing other office work. It could honestly take a couple of weeks -
Ding.
The feline blinked, looking down at his D-Terminal.
"Well, ain't that something." Syre chuckled, shaking her head. "He says that he had a cancellation, so he has a couple hours free - right now, actually. I know its a bit sudden, but." If Sixer accepted, Syre would open the portal, and would give a nod to Chalice. "She'll be back later today, and you can discuss things over with her. Though, I trust its Sixer's choice that matters, not yours. Right this way..."

”I’d be more surprised if he didn’t…”
Chalice shrugged her shoulders, grinning and leaning to look in through the portal. While she couldn’t enter like sixer did without getting in trouble she was at least able to gleam a little bit about the locale the the knights had… Even if it was basically a hall and storage closet. Structures spoke and this one… was made for protecting!
She’d turn right around and go to sit down; Sixer flicked her ears forward and raised her brows at hearing that the mikemon doctor had a cancelation! The meicrackmon glanced back towards chalice and gave her a small wave.
”The sooner I learn the information the better. It gives me more time to think about what if’s rather than worrying about nonsense leading up to it. Hope he’s ready for one heck of a ride.”
Sixer would shake her head; managing a small smile. Chalice on the other hand? She’d fold her arms and gave a small nod of her head. It was easy enough; if the other doctor was communicative she had nothing to fear!
”All right! Just make sure she eats something in the next few hours, her supplement information is in that tablet…”
With that chalice would turn right around to get back to work and sixer would follow after syre. The clunking of her barrels against the ground kinda obvious for anyone that wasn’t used to her approach…
Ugh… if it’s not one thing it’s another. I hope your father is able to find out some stuff that chalice either hasn’t told me or will find a way for me to at least not have to see her every week. She gets… irritating.

"Don't worry, she'll be in good hands."
Syre would give one last nod to Chalice, and Syre would lead their way through the portal. Where they came out was in the mountains - not at the family cabin, but rather at a clinic right in the heart of Snowflake Village. Closer to the evening that it was, Sixer didn't have to worry about anyone catching sight of her, but she might object to the brief chill in the air, as she'd suddenly find herself in quite the chilly envioronment.
Syre herself rubbed her paws together for warmth, giving a nod - though it was a bit hard to 'read and talk' at the same time. From what she caught? "Just relax for now. Don't think about Chalice - right now, this is about what you want to do." With that, the feline would open the door, nodding as she let Sixer into the waiting room. She wouldn't be left waiting for long, though: Stingmon sitting behind the front desk, would simply tap a button: "Your walk-in is here, sir."
And with a tilt of his head, Sixer would be allowed in the back room. Syre would follow along if asked, but didn't want to intrude - the MeiCrackmon would be led into a patient room, and about a minute later, the doctor himself would walk on in - carrying a blank clipboard under his arm, and a facemask over his nose. "Sixer, right?" Confirming that quickly, Mikemon would take a seat, and would be ready to take notes:
"How can I help?"

Chalice gave the barest hint of a shrug; truth be told it seemed that once she was told she’d have the information regarding this visit that she seemed to put on the face of indifference. Given her lot in life and what she did… well that made more sense than not!
Sixer rubbed at some of her joints and one of her arms seemed to ache right at where metal met flesh. She’d frown a bit and blow out some heated air from her mouth; watching the particles go upwards. She had never been to a location as cold as this and for a moment seemed star struck. The cold itself didn’t particularly seem to bother the majority of her…
Right. I’m just… so used to that. What I want huh…
She’d flick her ears and followed syre into the waiting room; looking around for a few moments. Another digimon she hadn’t really interacted with at all was sitting behind the front desk. A stingmon! She had seen them before but they were always so aloof… She’d flick her ears and lean her head this way or that. She was incredibly curious about this individual but…
She was quickly let into the back room and well there wasn’t anything stopping syre from following along. Even going so far as to give a little wave as a suggestion to ‘come along’ if she wanted to. Even quicker than that… Was the doctor that came in.
A mikemon.
She had heard of him from several of the medical boards as well as hearing some information about him from chalice. Nothing crazy but he was the leader of his field. Which was impressive enough given the fact of what he did. She’d flick her ears a few times and lean forward on the bed that she had sat on. Her tablet would come up in one of her hands and she’d show it to the mikemon.
”That’s me. Dr. Mikemon I presume?
She didn’t want to guess at this but hearing the last bit sixer shot a glance at syre. How best to explain this? She’d close her eyes, work it through her head for a moment and then lay it out flat…
After talking a little bit with your daughter. I’ve come to the conclusion that i want to sing and I want to fight. I want to do things that right now seem impossible. The issue here is that I lack a voice; but i’m not sure how far the damage goes. Wether it’s physical or includes data. Mind you I also want to work in the same field that I had previously which… might be a bit difficult with guns for legs. So I was hoping you might have a solution to make those a little less… obvious? I don’t expect a miracle but with the severeness of my grafts I doubt any of this will be easy.

Yes, a Mikemon. A mere Gatomon-sized champion level Digimon, much like Syre, who didn't much 'look' the role of a doctor at a glance. The doctor's eyes would briefly look down at the screen, the feline returning a nod.
"That's right. And you're okay with Syre in here?"
Syre, standing in the corner, gave a nod. "I'll leave if she wants, but she asked me to follow? Just tell me if I need to step out for anything."
Alright, fair enough! The doctor would soon find his eyes focused on the screen, and his pen would soon start scratching - making a list of 'wants' and 'challenges' for himself to reference. "I won't lie, a lot of this looks like a challenge on paper. I've seen the reports of what happened to that laboratory... well, stepping away from that."
"From an external analysis, your range of movement is quite limited. The knees of your augmented legs are off center, and you lack ankles or feet to properly utilize your movement. Couple that with only one usable arm? Despite how dangerous your appearance might seem, that's quite the frail set-up."
"So," the doctor would reach out to the side, producing his ruby crystal, "Let's start there. I want to see just how much you are 'integrated' to those augments." Were they biologically fused, or just physically grafted? The next few steps of analysis would determine just how Mikemon could push forward on this.

Sixer gave a small nod of her head; she had asked for syre to come with. Maybe because it had been her idea to… well bring her here. There was a modicum of comfort from their presence. She trusted syre to a degree… so she figured that the other would also like being here too.
I am. I thought that maybe she’d… like to hear what you have to say as well. Given her… influence on my initial situation.
She’d rub at her neck hearing that it was a challenge on paper; nothing was ever easy but that wasn’t about to stop her. Range of motion, offcenter legs, no ankles or feet… Technically both of her arms were fine. She’d adjust her arm and motion to the fact that she had two hands and that the barrels underneath could slide back just a bit.
Some of it can be moved around but others are… problematic were I to remove them.
Sixer shifted a bit and hesitated. So he wanted to see how much of her were technically intergraded to these augments. A dangerous thing to do in a not… safe locale but given that they were in a town? With a doctor and syre? The first things to come off were the cannons strapped to her arms. The long strips of metal and robotics that were what made up most of her upper body was obviously not coming off.
But her scarf, her facemask and her hat would join the two cannons. She’d look down at those legs and lean forward, reaching down to press agains something. With a firm pop the leg would disconnect itself from her body. But she’d wince. That was kind of painful. There was a clean cut robotic looking base that the gun had been linked into. She’d do the same with the other one and…
Well out of everything her mouth didn’t seem to move, there was some scarring on her neck… And the plates on either thigh took a little finagling but ultimately they just ended up being side armor for stabilization for her large lower limbs.
The upper portions of my body, more specifically my arms, the back of my neck and some implants into my eyes… well. Can’t be removed without extreme efforts. The back of my neck can also plug into various… devices.
That being said… maybe the mikemon hadn’t intended for his patient to remove all the extra bits. But at least he would be able to see what he was working with. He’d be able to tell looking through the crystal that the arms were fused together in terms of data. Far more biologically linked. Same with the neck… and the portion of her legs worked into her upper legs. Seemingly interlinked with her wireframe. Which meant that she could switch out parts if they were damaged…
But there also seemed to be several compartments along her arms if he looked close enough. Various compartments didn’t seem to be getting power in her state… save for one or two.
Perhaps the most concerning would be the chip he’d be able to see that was just above where her ‘usb hub’ was. It seemed inactive but that had the potential to be… nasty.

Alright, so she had both arms - some of the add-ons were just bulky, then? As Dr. Mikemon gave his instruction, it didn't take long for the augmented MeiCrackmon to start removing the more exterior augments. Arm cannon, facemask, scarf - and even her legs?
The doctor gave a blink, looking down as both of them were set in front of the feline. He stepped away to his desk for a moment: "Stingmon, going to need your help here. Two legs and an arm cannon - deconstruction, blueprints, cleaning, reconstruction."
"Just out of the blue like that? Very well, sir."
Past that, the feline would switch around the equipment that he had available. The crystal would be set aside for a moment, as the feline would set up and prepare a voltmeter, moving to check the open ports on the MeiCrackmon's arms, and even the base of her legs. He was testing the connection, the efficiency of each, his mentality quickly switching to checking that of a machine Digimon.
"Dead port... 60% connection here... dead port..." Each comment came with a small remark, a scribble on a clip-board, and a slowly-put together sketch of each limb. The insect champion himself would come in, and would carefully take each limb to a table nearer the back of the room, a full toolkit ready to take them right apart.
"Hm... I assume the current that these are being drawn from is your core? Or, do you use an external source?"

Sixer shifted in her ‘seat’ staring down at the fact she didn’t have the larger portion of her legs for the moment. She figure dthat she’d be like this for a good amount of time given that the stingmon was apparently going to fiddle with her legs… and arm cannons. She’d rub at her neck and stare down at the mikemon.
”Were… you not expecting that much Doctor?”
The word sir had been there for a microsecond before correcting itself to doctor. Something that she had grown used to was ‘sirs’ and ‘madams’ while dealing with those in terminus. She’d lean to one side as she watched him start to check the open ports.
”I think some of those dead ports and lower levels are because I’m technically supposed to be operating at a higher level.”
Sixer made sure to mention that and she’d glance to stingmon; was he… safe? Was it okay for her to trust him? He didn’t even seem to register her; just taking her legs and guns to a table near the back of the room. She’d flick her ears and look down to the mikemon.
”Both technically? It’s primary draw is my core but I can use external sources to bolster if need be. Though it always seems to burn out faster in the lattermost cases.
Sixer would motion to one such area; her long tail and tendrils! She’d shift so that she could pop off the spike from her tail and show it to the doctor. The tip itself was hollow… and her tendrils seemed to have different types of cables running in them. She was meant to be compatible with many different systems by the look of it.
I think… He had it in mind to have me be able to work with most of his prominent systems. Not entirely sure though.

"Hm? Oh, actually, I was expecting worse - the fact that you're able to remove the limbs simplifies the maintenance."
The doctor gave a nod, continuing to check the ports one by one. He wasn't able to see everything that Sixer was typing, simply continuing to test the ports - even the one at the back of her neck - at face value. The presence of some of them were more dangerous than others, but the state she was in gave the feeling of looking at an unfinished model. "I'll have to look into your data to see more specifically where these ports run to and access. It might be worth activating some, capping off others, and the like. Let's see... if you can be charged internally and externally..."
The feline carefully analyzed the port at the back of her neck, before seeing the tail flicking in his direction. Even that was artificial? "Based on the design, it doesn't appear that you were meant to work too long off of external sources. Rather, it more looks like you're supposed to drain the target."
"... If I'm going to give that Mastemon one thing, she's definitely taking care of the machine parts of her." Stingmon spoke up, carefully removing another pin, dropping it right into an alcohol solution to clean it off. "Where do you think we are on this?"
"Unfinished model. It feels like she was mid-processing - unfinished ports, makeshift speech device, improperly cut legs?" The feline looked over his sketches. "If we had access to the original blueprints, we might be able to see where the process might have been completed mechanically, and salvaged the best parts of this. But anything we do now is just going to be makeshift... maybe I should consult with that Datamon."
"Isn't that a bit too forward, dad?" Syre tilted her head. "I mean, Sixer's already this far out. Why are you already talking about making her more artificial, instead of less?"
"... Well, she'd keep all of her current organic components. But given her current situation..." The doctor sighed. "Introducing other organic elements might just cause her body to reject them."

Well at one point there were cables holding them into the ‘ports’ so to speak. But we found out they were largely dead and weren’t necessary so we cut them out.
Hearing that made sixer somewhat happy that the maintenance was simplified this way; she’d remain quite still. Only shifting a bit to assist the doctor in getting to the ports he needed to. The one at the back she’d have to take the plug out since it was hooked into her tablet. It would be the only one operating at max efficiency; no packets and no energy was lost. It was like it was tied directly to her core or something.
Given the designer I wouldn’t be surprised if that was the case. And if capping off some and activating some is a priority I’d suggest focusing on the ones with ones that have a percentile of some kind. Capping out the lower ones or the ones that seem strange might yield good results to the others.
Sixer turned her attention to the stingmon as he made mention of how chalice was taking care of the machine parts of her. She’d sigh a bit and her tail would flick unconsciously…
She’s very thorough. The first time she took me apart we were at it for a few days. She learned everything that she could and it was… odd. I don’t really remember much because I was still recovering.
She’d flick her ears forward and stare at the mikemon; so orion hadn’t finished her after all? He must have rushed with what he had during construction once he learned that terminus found out where he was. If they had access to the original blueprints? Sixer thumbed over her tablet and tapped at it with one of her long fingers.
Chalice would likely have the blueprints and if she doesn’t it’s likely that the AI that was in the lab would have them somewhere. That or terminus itself since from what i Was told the AI was stopped from wiping the information the lab had.
Sixer paused and turned her head to syre. She had a point but her father raised a better one. She’d consider both directions and ultimately? Gaining more streamlined robotics and… well keeping the organics that she had seemed to be the best idea.
Andromon’s do upgrades all the time and change their processors or mental capacities by just adding more gear. For me it’s better to treat me as a robotic digimon than an organic one. Or one that has 60/40. I’d like to keep the ‘40’ but the ‘60’ also does a lot of the heavy lifting.
The meicrackmon’s eyes turned to the doctor and she’d furrow her brow. There was another question that she had… and it was quite a serious one but with how he was acting and how his daughter talked about him earlier? Along with his assistant…
I’d like to ask you something doctor.

It would take a good bit of time to check the ports thoroughly, and even more for Mikemon to do a proper scan of Sixer's data. As he worked, he listened, taking notes both on what he saw and what he heard. At times, the doctor wouldn't get back to look at the tablet for a few minutes, wanting to get through a 'part' or 'section' before moving to the next.
"We'll check with Chalice for the blueprints, but we shouldn't dig further than that. If the Mastemon didn't pull them or think to keep them, they probably don't match up with your current design. Stingmon?"
"There's definitely evidence that the parts here are unfinished. For example." The insect would take the longest part of the leg, and would bring it over to the taller feline to view. "See this seam here? This is a weld - one that was supposed to be cut at some point in production. Likely, the designer wanted to have the entire barrel installed first to make sure a bullet could travel through the length. A bridge joint, or something similar, would have been here to act as a knee."
"It looks like it was meant to only take the shape its in now if it was actively ready to fire." The doctor sighed, shaking his head. "But at the very least, Sixer's data connects properly to the joints there. Its just a matter of adjusting the voltage and improving the part..."
Moving back to his sketch, the feline's nose would give a small furrow. "We should also test some simple text-to-speech software. Not anything like a singing voice, but in the short term - hm?" The doctor peeked up to the tablet. "What is it?"
