As Omen explained what she meant by 'cold spicy', Ettie would nod; especially as she actually had a piece of the mint chocolate. "Makes sense to me!" She'd chirp, smiling at the Wispmon with a wag of her tail. If spicy food could make something taste hot, then minty food could make something taste cold; it all just worked out! But now Ettie had to wonder; did this mean that spicy food and minty food could cancel each other out?
Let us hope that this poor child wouldn't test that theory out anytime soon, for the sake of her tastebuds.
Nonetheless, as Omen tried one of the cookies and cream chocolates, and decided for herself that she'd like them better, Ettie would smile to the smaller fox. "Let's trade, then!" She'd chirp - offering the bag to Omen, and adding "The mint chocolates are pretty tasty to me, so it works out!" Assuming that the trade was made, Ettie would go straight to munching on the mint chocolates, her tail wagging happily.
Thinking for a second, Anne would then quietly offer Omen a milk chocolate, giving the Wispmon a gentle nod. If they would be exchanging chocolates with one another, then she may as well join in.
Shortly after the chocolate exchanging was over with though, Omen would talk about her family - something that the two sisters would both listen to with visible curiosity. Although, something would near immediately occur to the two sisters - namely, the lack of any parents. "You guys... Met your parents awhile ago?" Anne would question, tilting her head a little. "Did that mean you didn't know your parents before?" Ettie asked next, a hue of confusion apparent. If they didn't know their parents before, then... Were Did Omen's and her sister's eggs abandoned, or something? Did they just hatch on their own?
The mention of the apartments though, being a den within a den, also seemed a bit odd - but... The two would nod nonetheless. Civilized digimon didn't seem to have the same idea of dens and territories as their home pack did, so neither sister would question it as much. "I don't think we've met anyone named Mae," Ettie would instead respond, with a shake of her head.
The mention of Omen's loneliness though, seemed to catch the two's attention. They'd both nod at the Wispmon question of whether she was making sense - though Ettie would focus more on how Omen had grown up lonely - asking "Well... You don't have to be lonely anymore, at least, right?" with a slight tilt of her head. "Even if you're still feeling lonely, well... We can all be friends, then!" Wagging her tail a bit, with a hopeful - enthusiastic, even - look on her face, Ettie would conclude "Friends, and even packmates!"
Anne, at the suggestion of Omen being a packmate so soon, would blink a bit - she felt like that was a proposition to a canid digimon after you got to know them a little more, but... She'd nonetheless decide to explain the context, to the fox. "We want to form a pack of our own, now that we're old enough to be on our own." Anne stated. "... Ettie likes you, and you don't seem bad; so I don't mind being your friend, or packmate, either."
What would Omen say to that?

This is a public service announcement to never mix cold spicy and true spicy, for that is the taste of hellfire, and nobody wants that. Omen glanced between both bags for a moment, before she would give a quiet nod, sliding the bag of cold spicy chocolate over to Ettie and accepting the other bag.
Then, she would accept Anne's own offer of milk chocolate, popping that one in her mouth while offering the Strabimon one of her own. "Here." She nodded. As she had been talking about her family, though, she had not really noticed how much attention was being paid to her every word by the girls.
"No. We didn't. Um. There was a point we were hoping they'd come by the Village of Beginnings, but they never really came. I think they were busy...?" Omen clarified before she would shake her head. "So...No. We didn't. I'm happy I know them now, though. I really am."
So, they didn't know her mom. That was fine. It was worth asking the question just in case they did. But Omen wasn't really sure what would be attained just from knowing her mom! "...No, I don't think I have to be. I have friends now. People I care about." People like Nanami, Mu-kun, Cream...Even Mocha in a way, Yuko, Jokermon...
...
Yeah. Those people directly counteracted the idea of loneliness. "I...Um. What's a packmate? What's being in a pack entail?" She was uncertain as to this. Yet, the Wispmon did want to know more. The Wispmon wanted to be able to understand this. "I don't think either of you seem bad. I mean, I've been having fun! I think you two are probably the most pleasant people I've met around these parts."

"Thank you," Anne would respond to Omen's offer - smiling gently, as she took the piece of cookies and cream and gave it a try. Indeed, it was good, and indeed, it was sweet... Though she personally preferred the milk chocolates.
Ettie giggled briefly - clearly happy to see them all sharing and exchanging chocolates like this - before she would offer Anne a piece of her mint chocolate. "Let's trade pieces, too, Anne!" She'd chirp to her sibling - to which the other Strabimon would smile fondly; exchanging one of her milk chocolates, for one of Ettie's mint chocolates. Like with her exchange with Omen though, Anne found that she preferred her milk chocolates more.
Thus, with everyone having chocolates that they were happy with, they'd begin munching down as they spoke amongst one another.
As far as the subject of Omen's parents went though, something visibly puzzled Ettie. Why would Omen's parents be too busy to meet or take care of their child? That seemed rather strange - and maybe even a bit irresponsible of the parents, if Ettie wasn't a rather forgiving and kind pup. As she opened her mouth to speak initially though, Anne would stop her - a hand patting on her shoulder. In the black furred Strabimon's opinion, this wasn't their place to talk about this - especially when Omen seemed to be alright now.
Instead, as Omen asked what a packmate was, or what being in a pack meant, well... "... Packmates are digimon who are in the same pack." Anne explained, gently. "And packs are- " "Sort of like family!" Ettie cut in with a chirp, her tail wagging. "We all work together and look after each other, to make sure everyone in the pack is happy, safe, and healthy!"
Though Anne would give Ettie a gentle look for interrupting her, she'd nonetheless nod in confirmation. "A pack is tightly knit and special. We all have a deep trust in each other, and care deeply about one another." Anne spoke simply.

There was something calming about the simple act of trading chocolates between each other. It meant they could try new things, and that was a sort of poetic thing as the twins seemed to be all for taking the time to explain to her what this pack thing was and how it worked.
"So, it's basically a family that can grow extremely quickly through adding in more members...It sounds kind of nice if that's what you're raised in, but...Um. I wasn't really...raised that way. I don't think I could get used to it, and I do still have my family now. And they're still willing to ensure I'm safe and happy. I guess family can take a lot of forms, though..." Omen took a bit of a pause.
"...I think it's neat. It means life can be different for a lot of people yet so similar." She seemed to be making quite the realization about this. The realization also hit Omen! "Oh! ...You really trust me enough to offer me that, though...?"

As Omen went over what being a pack meant, the two would nod along - Ettie in particular smiling, as her tail wagged. "Yeah! Sort of like family - even if some of the older digimon weren't related to us or our parents, they still helped to raise both of us." She explained, adding "And if anyone got sick or hurt, or is just getting super old, everyone works together to keep that digimon safe and happy!"
"The pack has you, and you have the pack. That's the belief we grew up with." Anne supplied. "It isn't the exact same as a civilized digimon's concept of family, we don't think - but it's close."
Even that being said though, Omen didn't seem interested in being a packmate; to which Ettie seemed a bit disappointed - her ears and tail drooping a little - but nonetheless nodded in understanding. "Aww... Alright - that's okay," She'd begin - before perking back up near immediately as she then suggested "We can still be friends, at least!"
Anne couldn't help a fond smile, even as she gently sighed and shook her head. Ettie bounced back from this pretty quick, as per usual.
As Omen realized just how much Ettie trusted her though, despite only having just met her, the Strabimon would smile and giggle. "Why not? You seem really nice - and I'm sure Anne would've said something, if you were dangerous!" She'd respond - adding "Besides, if we were packmates, we'd be spending time with one another more often; which would be time to build trust and get to know eachother better!"
"Ettie warms up to people easily." Anne commented with a chuckle. "... I sometimes have a harder time with strangers, though - especially more civilized digimon and humans. I find them more unpredictable, than tribal and wild digimon."

"It reminds me of a phrase my mom once told me...'It takes a village.' Usually applied to the Village of Beginnings, but very true for what you're telling me about here." Omen nodded a few times.
...It really did sound like family. But, she had that already. It didn't mean she couldn't consider more people to be a part of her family, though. That was something she had to keep in mind. "Well...I have a lot of friends that I love spending time with. I'd love spending more time with you, too. ...Maybe not as much as if we were packmates, but...I have a lot of things to do. And I don't think I'd have the time to give you two what you deserve." A pause.
"Well, what I think you deserve." She clarified. "You two have been great to hang out with--and I can sort of empathize with that. Strangers kind of scare sometimes for that reason. I don't know how they'll be but I have to take that leap at some point--I've even met some of my best friends from that, too!" Omen grinned!

It takes a village... Ettie and Anne both would mull over the phrase for a few seconds, before nodding in agreement alongside Omen's own nodding. It made sense to them, they were pretty sure!
Omen didn't have enough time, to give them what they deserve? Anne would nod, seeming to understand a little bit, though Ettie was nonetheless puzzled by the Wispmon's words and what she might've meant; did she mean that as in just general time and attention, like how a pack usually sticks together with one another? It was hard to say, though Ettie would nonetheless decide to nod as if she did understand; chirping "It sounds like you're pretty busy, then!" with a warm and cluelessly innocent smile.
Anne, meanwhile, seemed to be pondering over Omen's next words - about how strangers scared the Wispmon too, sometimes, but that taking the leap was how she met some of her best friends... It... seemed like a rather risky action, honestly, to lower one's guard so easily. But then again... "... I suppose Ettie does enough leaping, to accommodate for the two of us." She'd muse with a chuckle, the two sisters briefly nuzzling one another.
With that said though, Ettie would smile to Omen - asking "By the way - once we're done eating chocolate... Do you wanna play something with us? Like tag? Or hide and seek? Or we could even just wrestle together!"
Could a Wispmon even properly wrestle, without arms? Anne wasn't sure - though she had a feeling it'd be rude to ask about it.

She had initially not thought of herself as busy, but...It made sense. "I sound busy but most of the time it's me going places to satisfy my curiosity, so I don't have to spend so much time constantly thinking about those things." That was a bit more of an explanation. It didn't really capture all of why Omen did the things she did, but...it was a start.
Even she couldn't understand herself sometimes, you know? Of course, it was nice to see that the pups were more or less able to understand her even now. "Mmhm, Ettie does seem like the person that often makes the first step in befriending strangers. So...Yeah. A lot of leaping for you both. Thank you for doing that with me, too."
She definitely could NOT wrestle, however, so she had to thing on what to play. Tag may be too tiring and she'd have an unfair advantage, lacking arms. So she had to think. Think harder...
"Hide-and-Seek sounds fun! Who should start seeking first?"

"Yeah!" Ettie would chirp in response, smiling and wagging her tail. "It's been really fun, spending time and making friends with you; I'm glad that we signed up for that date thingy!" Even if she didn't 100% understand the point of a 'date', just getting to spend time with a new person was always great!
It seemed like the consensus was that they would be playing hide and seek, though - to which the two Strabimon nodded. "Hide and Seek it is, then." Anne mused out loud. Though, then came the question of who the seeker was...
.... To which Ettie would go "You should seek first, Anne; you're always too good at hiding compared to me." with a giggle. Anne, with an amused look across her face, retorted in turn "That's because I don't giggle, when someone gets close to my hiding spot." Ettie could only stick her tongue out at Anne in response - though she would soon laugh and nod; Anne was right, on that front.
"You two start hiding, I'll count." Anne would simply say, smiling and closing her eyes.

"You know what...? I am too. I enjoyed this, even if I...don't really understand the date part. It was nice meeting new people, nicer to make friends too. Soooo...Yeah. It's great!" Omen chirped in happy. With regards to the vaunted sport of hide and seek, Anne was voluntold to be the seeker by Ettie by virtue of she was too good at hiding.
...By virtue of being more quiet than Ettie. "...Sneaky...!" She whispered! Of course, upon being told to start hiding at Anne's count, Omen didn't think to ask how long the count would be. That would simply waste time on the count!
And it'd be unfair. They don't deserve unfair. So, as Anne closed her eyes, Omen would look to Ettie. "See you when I see you." The Wispmon offered a smile, before she would dart off into Rosewood, trying to find a suitable hiding spot that wasn't too far from where they started.
Of course, moving a bit further into the city gave way to the parts of Rosewood that were there since it had been a village. A town. Omen had found a small grove that was fairly out of the way, with the only thing indicating she was there being the light on her stomach, as well as any tracks the pups could pick up. This was...probably a great place to hide.
The Wispmon sat down, and closed her eyes. And decided to wait. Would she be found?

"Oh, that's okay!" Ettie chirped, as Omen confessed to not understanding what a date was. "I don't get it, either, so we can not get it together!" ... That was one way to look at it, at least. Anne couldn't help a slightly puzzled tilt of the head, but she otherwise wouldn't question Ettie's train of thought.
Instead, the focus would soon shift to the game of hide and seek - and as soon as Anne would turn around to begin counting, "One... Two... Three..."
... Ettie would giggle to Omen, whispering back "Good luck!" with a giddy smile as she, too, headed out into the rest of Rosewood to look for a hiding spot of her own. Whereas Omen took to hiding amongst the trees in a cozy grove though, Ettie instead decided that she liked the look of some crates stacked up in one of the sideroads (it wasn't quite right to call it an alleyway, even if it served the same purpose as one.) Hoping into one of the empty crates and curling herself up and out of view, the albinistic Strabimon would giggle to herself - tail wagging - before trying to force herself to hush up, so as to not be found too easily.
"... 28... 29... 30. Ready or not, here I come!" Anne would eventually call, meanwhile - knowing quite well that this had been more than enough time for the two kids to find themselves some hiding places. The only question now, was who to track down first...
... Perhaps Ettie? Anne could already quickly key in on her sister's scent - even as the scents of other digimon threatened to muddle it out. Out onto the streets she would prowl, ears perked and nose sniffing the air as she glanced around, and... ... Ah. There was that giggling.
Grinning wryly, Anne didn't even worry about the strangers around as she began to stalk towards some stacked crates - creeping forward slowly but surely, untill....
"Found you!" "Yeep!"
Pouncing into the empty crate, Ettie would be startled by Anne practically flopping atop her - although both sisters would nonetheless be laughing with glee. "You found me! Did you find Omen yet?" Ettie cheered with a grin - though Anne would shake her head, responding "Not yet. You were the first."
"Well; let's go look for her, then!" The albinistic pup decided - taking Anne's hand, as the two began prowling through Rosewood, to see where a certain wily Wispmon had gotten to.

Omen didn't know it was a thirty second countdown. That was fine, she didn't really need to know that. She just had to find a place to hide herself. It felt oddly natural to her, really. Just hiding away off the beaten path. The question...No, not a question. The big thing here was the hope of being found inevitably. The hope of not being forgotten again.
...
That was a reasonable fear, huh? And why were her eyes growing heavy...? Well, this place did seem like a nice place to rest for a little bit...Even if Omen felt more than a little drowsy, there was a part of her that knew for a fact that the memory of today would not fade. It was a striking example of friends made in a very interesting situation.
And she was fine with this.
With the pups, though, it was probably easy to pick up on where Omen's trail lead to, and it certainly would take them closer to the heart of Rosewood, and through a path that had been closed off by crates and easy to get through barriers. Likely a spot that was sectioned off as the construction project had gone on. The sooty trail led all the way to a small grove, nicely shaded, with...A Wispmon, dozing off in the middle. She seemed at peace, with a smile on her face.
Did Omen fall asleep? Yes. Yes she did.

Omen's scent was somewhere between that of a typical beast digimon, and that of smoke and soot - something distinct enough for the two sisters to pick up on, as they tracked the Wispmon down through the streets of Rosewood. Now, where did their new friend hide? Eventually, their tracking would lead the two to a cozy looking spot - a little grove, nestled amongst the buildings of the city; untouched and serene.
And amongst the trees, would be a telltale glow - something that told them that Omen would, for sure, be here.
What neither sister expected though, as they crept up on Omen, was for the little kit to be asleep - curled up amongst the trees! Ettie and Anne both would pause at this - wondering if they shouldn't wake her up, but... This was pretty peaceful, wasn't it? Just the three of them here?
... Eventually, the two sisters would simply share a soft giggle between the both of them, tails wagging. A lil nap, after hanging out with one another, didn't sound so bad! Thus, Anne and Ettie both would curl up around Omen, on opposite sides - snuggling up to both the Wispmon, and eachother, sharing their warmth with one another.
This was nice. Today was nice. Perhaps, once they all woke back up, they could play a little more - at least until their Wispmon friend (an honorary packmate, Ettie liked to think) had to go home...
