Having spent so much time within the Crafts district, Omen had not quite realized how different each section of Ys was. Originally, she had wandered into the Self-Improvement District...On complete accident. Really, she had been trying to search for a nice place to wait for someone, as she seemed to have been for the past few days of the festival, but she had instead found herself in a relatively calmer part of the city. Granted, there were still celebrations going on, and crabcakes to go around by the many, but overall calmer.
...The sheer number of libraries seemed to help lend to that, as well as the array of Penmon seeming to man most facilities. But what was most strange of all?
Omen found herself stopping to watch a quintuple group of different colored Neemon doing some exceedingly strange poses that you could potentially purchase off of an associated website for an MMORPG in the human world for like, a few dollars each. They were just standing there. Menacingly. And they were all color coded, too, which was probably an even worse insult!
"What're you doing?"
"We're posing! We're the Neemon Rangers!"
"...No, you're Neemon. Princess' orders."
Oh no. A passing Offmon, among a small crowd that had already gathered, just stared at the Wispmon. "They've been doing this all day...I asked one of the Penmon about them, apparently they just come and go. If you pay them some bits, they'll do a thing for you, but nobody's thought to try that..."
Ys was a very big place for a very lil' dog like Tomina, so it was no surprise when learning she had managed to get herself lost. She had no idea where she was and it'd be a real surprise if she could suddenly read the signs without the aid of someone nearby- usually her own sister, since admitting her inability to anybody else was too embarrassing to stomach. Instead she relied on her sense of smell, keeping her nose to the ground and her tail in the air sniffing around as she wandered the city. She thought that by doing that, she would be able to pick up on a familiar scent and then find someone who could stop her from wandering around like a literal lost puppy.
Soon enough she picked up on Omen's scent, ears and tail perking up high. Thanks to the awkward though adorable shape of her current form, sprinting was more like waddling, so she waddled aggressively. With purpose.
"Ome' Ome' Ome'-!" The Kolongmon chanted. She took a sharp turn at a corner and then a big tumble, letting out a loud bark as she rolled onto her side and then kept on rolling.
The Neemon Rangers would be struck down by the sheer power of Tomina's rotundness and plot convenience, knocked flat by this goofy little dog. Thankfully, the wall that the rangers presented allowed Tomi to slow down just enough that she came to a perfect stop just in front Omen. Sprawled out on her back with her helmet sort of covering her eyes she gave a confused though audibly excited bark.

The Neemon Rangers' perfectly executed posing Once Per Thread, achieved through hours upon hours of practice and precise measurements, as well as filthy microtransactions, would be swiftly ended in kind by a most unexpected assailant that Omen had...actually sort of forgot she had for a moment.
Who had promptly bowled into the rainbow posse of Neemon. Omen had been prepared to spring into action as the older sister who by now had definitively mastered the limitations of her Rookie form only having a tail to do things with, but...!
Tomina had come to a perfect stop.
"Ough..." The Neemon rangers collectively groaned. Their dignity? Gone.
"Well, we should definitely just get back to work, those crabcakes ain't gonna make themselves!"
The crowd swiftly dissipated, but...Omen really, really did not care! She stepped over to Tomina, and wrapped her tail around the chubster, bringing her in for the closest thing she could call a hug. "Did you get lost again? Are you okay? Is mom anywhere?" Either of them would be pretty nice!
Tomina shook her head, both as a response and as a way of shaking her helmet back into place on her head. "A little bit.. Yes! ..No, no moms spotted." She answered one question after another, shaking her head each time while returning the pseudo-hug. "I smelled food and then.. I guess y'know what happened." The Kolongmon laughed a bit awkwardly. None of the food she smelled was any she could have, though. Not even for a lil' bit of labor like back in the village. It kinda sucked but she couldn't say she disliked the big city yet- at least she had her sister now.
"But I bet we can find them if we look together! Ys seems really busy though.." The canine let go of Omen and looked around, only now noticing something outside her own little bubble. She had been in such an anxious rush to find Omen that she hadn't stopped to look around properly. "Do you have any ideas where we should look? I don't think either of our moms is gonna be found near a bunch of stinky Neemon.." Tomina huffed, twitching her nose. The little rats were literally stinky, that wasn't just a figure of speech. Even weider was that the different colors had their own bad stench. She definitely wasn't a fan.

Really? Tomi couldn't sniff out either Mae or Hasenya...? Omen looked puzzled as she broke the pseudo hug after a few moments. It was a very awkward hug and Omen didn't want to subject Tomina to her cringe-inducing lack of any arms. "Oh...Did you eat anything nice? There's a lot of things to try here." She noted, glancing over at one of the stands.
She had no idea what a Dango was but it sounded pretty nice. "Ys is always busy, given it's a city...Apparently they never sleep, so it makes sense that it'd always be like that...I'm not sure where our moms would be in all of this, though..."
And they WERE in the educational district, so Omen could hazard a few good guesses as to where one had gone already. "Hey, pink mom likes books a lot, right? We should check a library, see if she's getting anything new." She nodded. She was really just as eager as Tomina was to get away from these filthy goddamn Neemon, they did smell like rats, but what made matters worse was that they all smelled different. It was a horrific smell, one that was enough to make mere mortals sick.
"C'mon." She'd give Tomi a pat on the back with her tail as she moved to start towards the nearest building! Which just so happened to be a library. What could possibly go wrong?
"Some people gave me some stuff cus' I looked lost! A lot of it was yummy but I had no idea what most it was." Tomina shook her head. A lot of sweets, a lot of savory stuff.. Nothing she could put names to herself. "But sleep is great! Why wouldn't they ever sleep? Doesn't that like.. kill you?" The Kolongmon tilted her head from one side and then to the other.
Tomi didn't relish the thought of going looking through a library. Lots of books in one place like that tended to create a smell that assaulted her poor little nose, though not as bad as a group of Neemon. Regardless of the revolting smell of neatly kept literature, Tomina followed her sister into the library in search of a certain Renamon.
..Where was said Renamon actually at? Could be anywhere, really. Tomina could definitely smell her on some of the books and furniture, but she couldn't tell for certain if the trail was fresh. Better than no trail at all, though. "Gh.. Smelly." The chubby dog grumbled, wiping at her nose and shaking her head.

"Well, too much of no sleep will definitely kill someone...But I assume they take breaks at times. Otherwise, all of the Penmon working here just...um. I can't tell a difference between them outside of their voices. Different inflections, tones..."
There was a short pause from Omen. "Hey, did you know too much sleep is bad for you too? Apparently it hurts your brain." Which is probably why these girls were so dumb. Omen stared around the library, trying to sniff out something that smelled like either of her moms, but to no avail. She had never been a huntress, more a...'nerd' or whatever. "Let's try sniffing around the books." Omen decided, before her claw would carefully move over to Tomina to...grab the fat dog and lift her up a bit so she could sniff the air better. It was better than smelling the bad furniture.
And thus, the two began their search, wandering through the library. "Lemme know if you smell her. Or see her. Bright pink cannot be that hard to miss, right? I mean, I'd have to be like...stupider than an Elecmon if I missed bright pink..."
