After getting a message from someone called Weston regarding his lack of control with his magic, LJ was walking through the Residential District looking for the place mentioned from Tamernet. It was sure strange that this Weston had mentioned he heard this from someone he knew. At least that narrowed things down as LJ didn't know very many people human or digimon and yet Weston knew at least one of those few and to date only a handful folks had seen him floating off so that narrowed things down more.
LJ shook his head figuring such things could wait for later as he made his way past various houses soon coming across a house a bit bigger than some of the others. This house was crawling with magical energy and he could sense it even though he was disguised. The owner had to be stronger than he was easily.
Not wanting to wimp out now, LJ walked up to the door of the large home and began firmly knocking on the door. He was glad that he never lost control of his magic when he was in his holosuit disguise or he had the feeling he would of been floating by now and there would of been no one to help him out. At least his holosuit was keeping him out of trouble but he would love to avoid such trouble in the future while in the Digital World.

Weston had heard of this Leomon X's problem from his acquaintances Speed and Psych, a couple of Flamedramon-like Digimon who had mutated to gain special abilities. They apparently met this LJ in an alleyway while encountering a human playing superhero, though it was LJ who captured Weston's interest. A Leomon X who could use magic, but was having a problem with keeping it under control? This could be a chance to see if Weston was ready for an apprentice of his own. Thus, he contacted LJ and invited him over to his house.
The Wisemon was reading one of his favorite books in his study when he heard the knocking at the front door. Weston snapped his fingers at once, magically putting the book back in its spot on the shelf and opening the doors for LJ to enter. Once the disguised Leomon X was inside, the doors would close on their own behind him, and before long Weston would magically appear on the grand set of stairs in the middle of the hallway.
"You must be Lothar Junior, I presume," Weston said in a calm yet echoing voice as he walked down the stairs. This was definitely a powerful Digimon, one of a humanoid shape wearing a cream-colored hood and maroon robes, along with a belt. Under the hood was simply a black void with glowing yellow eyes. They looked mysterious and intimidating, yet calm and cute at the same time. "I appreciate you accepting my invitation, young one. My name is Weston Sparkwood, otherwise known as Weston the Wise, master of the mystic arts." Weston's hands would glow a golden color before mystical energies of various colors surrounded him and LJ. "You do not need to wear your holosuit anymore, as you will be kept within the house if you do end up floating off."

LJ saw the doors open as if on their own but since the owner of the house was magical in nature opening a door from somewhere else in the house didn't seem to strange to LJ. With that he entered the doors closed by themselves behind him. Again that wasn't to strange. As LJ reached the set of stairs in the hallway a Wisemon, presumably Weston, came into view.
"Yes I am Lothar Junior but I usually go by LJ." LJ said in response to being spoken to by the Wisemon approaching him. When Weston's hands began glowing LJ was quietly wary but didn't outwardly show it but when energies of various colors surrounded the two of them, the young Leomon X thought it was a beautiful sight. After hearing he wouldn't need to wear his holosuit, LJ said "Force of habit being in the Human World." With that he deactivated his holosuit his true form of Leomon X in full view blue cape and all.

"Hm, I do sometimes forget to reverse my disguise spell after work," Weston said to LJ as the young Digimon began to deactivate his holosuit. "I work as a teacher at Shibuya Academy. Your holosuit appears young enough to be a student there, do you attend? One of my acquaintance's sons attends the middle school there."
Once LJ deactivated his holosuit, his true form was revealed. A Leomon X, only with a blue cape instead of a red one. It definitely made him seem more like a mage in that aspect. Weston rubbed his chin as he observed LJ. "I cannot say that I've ever known a Leomon to be capable of magic. While most Digimon have abilities that one could confuse as magic, less than a quarter of Digimon possess the ability to do true magic. Is it corruption or inheritance from a parent that lets you use it, pray tell?"
If LJ were to look around somewhat, he'd notice a notebook and a pen hovering discretely in mid-air nearby, taking notes as the two of them talked. Wisemons did love to record information after all, and an encounter with a magical Leomon X is definitely record-worthy! Weston wasn't trying to hide it but it would probably come off as a bit... unsettling.
"Now, you mentioned in your message that you have control over your magic when it comes to offensive spells, like your typical fire and ice blasts, but you have trouble controlling your magic in everyday situations... particularly with the levitation spell, it seems. Tell me, what usually happens right before you start floating away?"

"I attend the middle school no the high school since my parents accidentally signed me up there instead of the high school so I basically tell the others I am tall for my age and the humans don't seem to think twice about it." LJ said with a chuckle remembering how awkward the staring was at first. "I hope they don't make such an error with other potential future siblings who want to attend school."
Weston seemed fascinated by the fact that LJ had access to magic and it made sense seeing as from birth he was a species not known for magic. When asked if his magic was corruption or inherited, LJ replied "I inherited my magical traits from one of my dads. He is a Wizardmon named Mandrake. The magic comes from his side of the family."
LJ watched as a pen and notebook floated around taking notes. Could Weston be telekinetic like Mandrake or his Jijimon grandfather Theron or was it Weston's natural magical energies causing the pen and notebook to float? After all not all magicians had access to telepathy or telekinesis. "I don't know what causes my magic to act up exactly. It seems to do it at random though I'm rarely stressed when it happens. As for my offensive magic, it's a little different than a blast of elemental magic."

"Hmhmhmhmhmhm," Weston chuckled, "that is definitely quite a mix up, but to be fair your holosuit could still be seen as a tall middle school student. Humans can come in all shapes and sizes, so I myself have mistaken middle school students for high school ones. Are you enjoying your time at school, may I ask?"
LJ responded to Weston's question on the Leomon X's magical origin by saying that he inherited it from one of his fathers, who was a Wizardmon himself. "Ah yes, the gift of magic can indeed be transferred to a Digimon's offspring, though the chance of doing so is much greater if both parents have the gift themselves. I'd say you're one of the lucky ones," he would say with a slight wink. "My own champion form is a Wizardmon, as well."
LJ definitely noticed the floating paper and pen by this point. Levitating objects to this extent is one of the most basic skills a mage could have, so it didn't seem all that unusual to Weston. if LJ didn't ask about it, then Weston wouldn't even bring it up. Weston asked LJ what happened before he starts floating, but the Leomon-X didn't really give much helpful information. He claimed he didn't know what caused it to act up, and it seemed to happen just randomly. But that wasn't what Weston was interested in at the moment. "No no no, what I mean is... do you feel any sort of sensation before you start to float? Like a supernatural or tingling feeling going through your whole body? To the untrained mage, magic can sometimes manifest based off of your emotions. What did you feel every time you began to float, on an emotional level?"

"Yes that is an amusing mix up now that I think more about it but I don't really mind that much. As for school I'm enjoying it well enough and I think it's cool that other digimon attend the schools too. Though most humans are none the wiser." LJ said.
"Yeah my other dad isn't magically gifted. My other dad is a Leomon named Lothar. Then again I could also have other siblings in the future with magical gifts despite the odds being unlikely. Digimon data can be funny that way." LJ said and when he heard Weston's champion form is Wizardmon, LJ then said "What are the odds I would meet someone else that has Wizardmon in their digivolution line. Then again it isn't uncommon for Wizardmon's to become Wisemon. My Wizardmon father doesn't digivolve to Wisemon though. He becomes Mistymon."
"As for feeling a sensation before I float, in fact I do. It feels as if my power flares before next thing I know I end up in the air. On the emotional level when I float I tend to feel relaxed. Wait. Could it be a non combat oriented ability I am yet aware of? If so that could explain maybe some of it." LJ said he looked as if he was trying to make sense of things with his brow furrowed in thought. If he could get his magic under control he could then focus on his anger management so he wouldn't cause great damage in a rage but he had to take this one step at a time.

"As a Digimon teacher in disguise myself I am inclined to agree with you on that one," Weston said with a grin. "I have a couple of Digimon and tamers in my class as well. Particularly these two brothers who seem to get wrapped up in more shenanigans than most other students..."
So LJ's other dad is a Leomon, huh? Explains how LJ himself became a Leomon X then. "So it would seem that the magical element of your Wizardmon father mixed together with your Leomon father's data, so that explains why you're a Leomon-X with magical abilities... truly fascinating, I must say." So his future siblings might have magical abilities too, hm? "Don't put your eggs in one basket... you never know if your parents might have more children or not. And it makes sense why I became a Wizardmon, as my own master was a Sorcerimon. He taught me everything I know, and not just about magic."
Okay, now they were getting somewhere. LJ mentioned that it felt like his powers were flaring up whenever it was about to happen. Not only that, he mentioned how he seemed to float only when he was relaxed. Weston hummed as he scratched his chin. "Based on that description, it does sound like you don't have control over when you activate your magic power. Knowing how to activate it at will is one of the most important steps of mastering the art. You need to intend to do a certain spell, having a spell activated at random... well, you've seen how that turns out."
Weston reached into his robes and pulled out a small vial of potion, before handing it to LJ. "This is a greatly weakened sleep potion. All it is going to do is put you into a relaxed state like you said you were in when the floating occurs. What I want you to do is to concentrate and keep your magic within, since you do not intend to float. It helps to imagine putting the specific ability under a lock and key. If it's locked up, it cannot come out on its own - it can only come when you wish it to."

LJ chuckled as Weston spoke of some of his students and LJ said "Come to think of it one two of the students in one of my classes are a pair of twin human girls. They seem nice enough but I get a bit of a mischievous vibe from them but I'm not one to judge since I am somewhat mischievous myself. Not really a trouble maker but I still love messing with others on occasion."
"As for future siblings I know I shouldn't put my eggs in one basket, as humans say, but I recently encountered someone interesting. It was a Pulsemon with a magical signature similar to my own and she said she was my younger sister from the future. Apparently my dads will one day have at least one daughter but she didn't tell me much other then her name and it was Melody. Curiously she was carrying a blue ukulele on her back." LJ said before he continued "Was your rookie form one most expect to have any connection with magic or something? Maybe you became Wizardmon partly as a way to be more like your teacher but that's just a guess."
"This spell hasn't been as easy to master as my combat oriented magic. Even my karate training has been easier. I don't know how my magical relatives seem to make magic look so easy." LJ said with a sigh. Then Weston handed him a small vial of potion causing him to look at it while Weston explained how it worked. "Makes sense." LJ said as he drank the potion. As the potion began taking effect LJ felt his magical energy begin to flare. Closing his eyes he focused his breathing like he did in his karate training as he thought 'Okay I gotta concentrate on my magic like when I was Elecmon and my magic was mostly dormant. I used it to will my eyes to glow so this is like directing this energy in a different way.' A light purple aura had surrounded his body as his magic was flaring full force as if threatening to send him floating but LJ was determined not to float off this time so easily. 'Like what Weston said, gotta put it under lock and key.' LJ continued thinking not realizing he was now floating a couple inches off the ground but it wasn't feet in the air like before since his magic seemed to be mostly contained and he opened his eyes seeing himself and, in a frustrated groan, said "No. No. I don't want to be floating." As if answering his body stopped glowing as he gently floated back to the ground. Not a complete success but it was more dignified than his previous landings when those other times he had began floating.

Okay, LJ was now saying something that Weston was not anticipating to be heard at all. Weston was simply trying to say that it wasn't guaranteed that LJ's parents were going to have more children, but apparently now it is. He explained how he met a Pulsemon with the same magical signature as himself named Melody, and that she was LJ's sister from the future. Almost immediately Weston's face was mere inches away from LJ's. "You've encountered a time traveler?! Tell me everything! What era do they come from? How did they manage to travel through time? Even the most acclaimed mages in the Digital World couldn't quite get it right! This could be one of the biggest breakthroughs in all of the Digital World!"
Weston was shot down real quick when LJ said that Melody didn't tell him much. "Aw... how sad," Weston said with a sad tone of voice. He was really excited to hear that time travel was a possibility...
"Hm?" Oh, LJ asked him another question about his rookie form... "My rookie form is actually a Kotemon. I am an anomaly from the Dark Area, a Kotemon with magic power who happened to stumble across a Sorcerimon one day. I... immediately tried to delete him, I'm ashamed to admit. I was easily defeated, and he took me in as his apprentice. It would be almost six months before I could speak properly, however... sometimes I wonder how he managed to put up with me."
Weston would watch as LJ drank the potion, before closing his eyes in order to focus more. Weston crossed his arms as he observed... all seemed to go well. That is until a noticeable magic aura formed around LJ. Weston was worried that this wasn't working, his worries confirmed when LJ flew a couple inches into the air. He opened his eyes and demanded that he didn't want to be floating, before he fell back onto the ground. "A shame, really... once you opened your eyes your relaxed feeling seemed to have vanished. At least you did not float off once again... I've never seen something like this happen before. What is causing your magic to flare up like that?"

Weston seemed excited when he mentioned how he had met a time traveler and to answer the Wisemon, LJ said "All Melody told me was that my grandfather, the one with magical talent, created the necessary portal. That and that he sent Melody back to her time afterwards. Seeing as he has been alive for a long time I wonder how long he has known it. Considering it was a potion and not one of his crazy artifacts, I was surprised to say the least."
So Weston was once a Kotemon and he tried to attack the digimon who eventually mentored him. "A Kotemon was definitely not a rookie form I was expecting but digivolution doesn't always make sense at first anyway. What I'm curious of is why did you attack Sorcerimon? You haven't come off as the type to attack someone for no good reason."
What was causing his magic to flare up? That was a good question indeed. "If I had to make an educated guess maybe having my magic mostly dormant until I gained access to a digimental. Then shortly after that I digivolved into Leomon X and my magic has been everywhere since." LJ said as he scratched his chin briefly in thought. "At least when I was floating I was able to contain most of the energy so I didn't end up floating to the ceiling or something."

"Oh... that's all they said?" Weston asked as he lowered his head, looking visibly disappointed. As LJ continued on, his spark of curiosity lit back up as he looked back at LJ. "Wait, your grandfather was the one who opened a portal to another time period?! You must introduce me to him, I would love the chance to learn how to properly do time travel!"
As Weston was describing his own past to the Leomon-X, LJ asked why he would attack Sorcerimon as a Kotemon back then. Weston rubbed the back of his head. "I was a different Digimon back then. I had no sense of right or wrong, only a will to survive and to be the strongest. Sorcerimon did not care that I tried to hurt him... I think he knew that I did not know what I was doing. He took me in as his son and apprentice, teaching me the ways of both the human world and the Digital World. He made me who I am today." Weston started to smile under his hood; while it had been a century since Sorcerimon passed away, it still warmed the Wisemon up inside to discuss his adoptive father... he was a good Digimon, that Sorcerimon was.
Now, what was making LJ's magic flare up like this? LJ said that his magic was mostly dormant until he digivolved, and his magic had been everywhere since. "Interesting..." Weston said, scratching his chin. "Usually any source of magic in a Digimon can be known even at the rookie level, allowing the Digimon to practice their magic. Perhaps that is why you keep floating upward; you simply have not practiced using and controlling it enough. Here's what I suggest..."
Suddenly, Weston began to glow and shrink down somewhat. Once he had stopped glowing, his form was now very similar to what LJ's own father looked like; a Wizardmon. "I suggest we have a magic duel to start out; I want to get a good feel of your abilities. I have a room dedicated for magic duels of this caliber, if you are up to it of course."

"Gramps is pretty ancient so he likely knows spells and potions that a young digimon like myself can only dream of. He was able to open the portal with his great knowledge of potions alone. I never asked how long he knew how to make the potion though." LJ said in response to Weston's question. "I'm sure he wouldn't mind meeting you one day. He is a Jijimon named Theron and he is the elder and leader of a small village of magic users. The village is not well known but is called the Village of Magic and is protected primarily by a magic sapphire that keeps out ones with evil intent but I don't know the limits of the large jewel's power. I do know the way to the village since I've been there multiple times since I've hatched. If you do meet him he is somewhat mischievous moreso than my Wizardmon father Mandrake and myself combined but he's a good guy."
LJ listened to Weston's story of how he lived before he met Sorcerimon and said "Must of been rough to live like that. I understand how not everyone has been fortunate enough to have someone looking after them but at least he was willing to take you in. I gotta admit when it comes to rookie forms some wouldn't expect a Kotemon to eventually digivolve into Wisemon."
"Well my magic was mostly dormant as an Elecmon with the most control I had involved making my eyes bleed light purple and spark a bit. Explains why my control could be so bad now since I didn't train much with what little magic I had access to." LJ said looking as if he was in deep thought.
When Weston began to dedigivolve LJ's thoughts were disrupted as he became a form familiar to him. "Except for a few minor details like not having blue eyes or an Impmon scarf being used as a hair tye you look just like Dad." When Weston mentioned having a magic duel LJ said "Sure. I'm up for it. Lead the way."

"So it is not a spell that opened the portal, but a potion..." Weston mused to himself. LJ said that his grandfather was a Jijimon named Theron, who lived in the Village of Magic. "My master taught me about that place... he's never let me know how to get there myself, though. He said he would take me there was I was ready but uh... well..." Weston cleared his throat. "But yes, it would be lovely if you could take me there sometime, or at least show me the way." The very thought of a portal that led to other time periods excited him...
Weston sighed. "Life in the Dark Area was indeed very rough. A while after Sorcerimon took me in, I began to see him as my savior, someone who chose to look after me and save me from a tough life instead of someone who was just obligated to do so. I respected him quite a lot." Weston chuckled. "Yes, it is an odd Digivolution path indeed, being a Kotemon and Rookie level..."
Ah, so LJ's magic was mostly dormant while he was an Elecmon, that made sense. He didn't get a chance to train with it as a Rookie, so now it's going crazy now that he was a Champion level. Maybe a sparring session is just what they needed. When Weston devolved, LJ admitted that he looked a lot like his father minus a few small details. "I am as average of a Wizardmon as you can get. Now, let us get to practicing."
Weston waved his scepter, and suddenly as if by magic he and LJ were transported to an area that looked a lot like a magic dueling arena, complete with spectator seats and everything. "I simply shrunk and teleported us to a small replica of a wizard dueling arena that Sorcerimon would take me to. This way it allows us to test our magic without causing a stir in the human world, and without causing damage to my actual home. I can easily bring us back to our regular size at any time. Now, show me what you can do..."

"Yeah Gramps has been alive for a very long time so his varied knowledge of many forms of magic makes sense. His knowledge of potions alone is impressive. I don't even know what he's fully capable of." LJ said to Weston's comment regarding the time travel potion. "As for the Village of Magic, I know that it is guarded by a magical sapphire that doesn't let those who are evil inside keeping them out with a powerful barrier. I wouldn't mind showing you the way there." LJ said.
"Even though your early life seemed to be rough at least you found someone who cared about you. This Sorcerimon sounds like a cool guy." LJ said as Weston continued to talk of his earlier days.
When Weston said he was as average of a Wizardmon as you can get LJ chuckled before he said "My dad might of admitted the same thing himself."
When Weston waved his scepter and transported them LJ was amazed at the thought they were shrunk and transported to a replica of a dueling arena. "Definitely a trick Dad doesn't have up his sleeve." LJ mused but wouldn't be surprised if it was one of Theron's many tricks. Ah well that was not important now as Weston was telling him to show him what he could do. Focusing his magic as a light purple aura surrounded him before focusing into his hands he said "Spiritual Conjuring!" The energy transformed itself into what appeared to be a wooden staff and he twirled it indicating he was ready.
OOC: Spiritual Conjuring: Uses his magic to conjure various handheld weapons before attempting to attack opponents with them. The conjured weapon lasts 2 posts.(Cooldown of 2 posts) Lasts 0/2.
